Asana is The Tool for enhanced productivity and focus. I have been using Asana for more than eight years and year by year this product keeps getting better and improving the way how you manage your personal and team work activities and tasks. The UI/UX is excellent and flexible. Asana is my number one tool for planning and organizing my projects. Regardless if you are working on your own or in a team, Asana is there to help. I strongly recommend Asana as a task and project management tool. Try it for yourself in the web or mobile app and let us know.

Frustrated about the interface. This app can definitely be a little confusing when workings with a team. We wasted a lot of time in communications especially because texts/threads can become chaotic and not easy to find. After a while, we ended up using emails again since it is messy on the app. Also it has become messy and unorganized since you can create as many subtasks as you need. I understand the idea sounds terrific but in reality it can create disorganization and you can omit a lot of information when you have so many subtasks there. And it becomes worst when people isn’t organized (which on our team creates more chaos on top of that). Overall you can tend to spend more time than the time you should spent on the app becoming less efficient. I found other applications more efficient in general. overall the app works fine with notifications and the desktop app works better than the iPhone one.

Improved coworker communication. I work at a non-profit agency that has three locations. We have used Asana for 5 hrs (I think) and this has improved our communication greatly. It has helped with even the simple things such as setting meeting dates that everyone can go to. We also share pictures of activities that are then used on our social media and newsletters. As a side note… I love the update descriptions. They are very clever. Most co-workers have auto update on so I often do a screen shot of the note and post on Asana. 😂

Scam Alert. This company as well as Monday both trick buyers into thinking their product price is inline with what one would think the price is. However, at checkout you will be charged for 5 seats (5 people/users) that can only be lowered to 2 later. So you pay for two users even though there are more one person companies than there are large companies by a huge margin. I absolutely hate this trickery. If your product is do good you can charge for one seat and as we grow we will gladly add users as we hire them. Monday is even worse with confusing “whats included” stuff that makes no sense! I just went back to using google sheets. It’s free and does 90% the same thing once you get it lined out.

Exactly task and project management tool. This is an excellent tool. There are some inconveniences. There seems to be no system or order for referencing attached files within tasks/projects. I understand this can be tricky because of the way files are attached to specific tasks or projects, however I’d wager this is a pain point for many users. I also noticed that one assigning hyperlinks to text inside a description of a task, the hyperlink will only populate information within a browser. The pain point here is users are unable to assign hyperlinks that open files from windows file explorer or Finder (for Apple). Please consider that many businesses Do not use cloud-based storage to House sensitive information but yet still need to be able to access files on the network. Allowing hyperlinks to open files within the file explorer could be a powerful solution.

Asana is amazing!. As an Ops Analyst and Graphic Designer I honestly don’t know what I would do without Asana. I’d miss every deadline If it weren’t for Asana. We are in the process of bringing the whole team on board! The app is definitely limiting so PLEASE check out the web version! Of all the limitations on the app, the one major one I’d love to see rectified ASAP is toggling between Asana accounts! I have two different jobs that both use Asana and can only access one Asana dashboard from the app - no option to add an additional account/e-mail address. Big bummer as I have different deadlines every day! P.S. I still think the app is incredibly functional and worth a shot for everyone. This app made me 10x productive, seriously.

Watch Out - Will Not Accept Single Users. First, asana is a great platform. It’s got everything I needed and so I went through the 30 day trial only to get a nasty surprise at the end. They refuse to allow single user licenses. Seriously. They won’t take your money unless you can drag another coworker into it. So they force single users to pay DOUBLE in order to use their platform. I can’t even wrap my head around the idea of refusing a user’s subscription and good will. Now, all the project data I’ve input over the last 30 days is being held hostage because I won’t pay for an extra seat I don’t need or want. Keep in mind I want to pay them! I’d be happy to start a paid subscription. They simply won’t let me because all I want is a single license.

Can’t easily access labels. I like the app for the most part. My only complaint is the confusing interface to filter tasks by label and long process of even adding labels to tasks. Initially I thought that to filter by label I first have to remember a task that has the label I want, then click into that task and tap the label I want to filter. I’d much prefer a “filter by label” added to the drop down that includes “uncompleted” and such. EDIT: It took some poking around, but for some unknown reason the ability to filter by task is under the Favorites tab in Projects. Sorry, but that makes very little sense. I’m glad I figured it out, but how does putting the ability to filter by label under Projects make any sense? They’re applied to tasks, so there should be that ability in the TASK list! This is a failure in basic interface design. Also, for adding a label I have to created the task in the task list, then click into the task, tap the edit button, tap add label, and then type in the label. Far too many clicks. This greatly reduces the usefulness of the app to me since I use labels extensively. Couldn’t you do a pop-up like iCal on the desktop does that allows you to change some of the basics of an entry? Good things about the app are that I can have my to-do list easily accessible on the go and assign team members to tasks relatively easily.

Amazing App. Not to discount the review below me. But god knows many apps have short comings. Honestly this app is a great start to a program which to my knowledge is free? Least I have not encountered a time where I needed to pay. The desktop may have a bit more but I've seen many programs fall way shorter. In fact this is the first app I've taken a time to review. Again the guy below me might have run into some issues and I think the developers should take those into account, but honest to god to say this app is a watered down todo list is pretty misrepresented. Again if he paid and found it lacking by all means complain. But I can say I've found a few apps and even online versions of paid programs more lacking (cough) QBO

LOVED the app, but so disappointed. Let me start off by saying if you need a push notification to pop up as a reminder when something is due, the app is NOT capable of providing that. I am beyond disappointed because this app gave us everything that we were looking for. I had reached out to the Customer service team to inquire about this because I thought I was doing something incorrectly, however they have gotten back to me saying the app is incapable of providing that sort of notification. I do want to note that I was getting notifications when something was commented on or liked, so the capability is there they just haven’t gotten to it yet. But overall great app, but disappointingly did not satisfy our needs.

Almost a 5. Product wise I love Asana. I have to manage multiple different clients so I was in a hustle to find something that could work for me. I tried a couple other programs and just didn’t like them. I have a routine down with Asana and really helps me keep on track of things. Plus, when I get a team it’ll be nice to scale. The reason I subtracted a star is for their sales tactics. When showing you the prices they show you a price per seat. After going to check out you realize multiple things. First that price is the annual price, you have to pay more for monthly. Second they automatically put you with 5 seats which might trick people into thinking you have to do 5, but you have to go in and edit it to two seats. That’s the next problem, you can’t do only one seat. Even if there is one of you. You have to pay for two. All of this was very frustrating when I was deciding to pull the trigger and purchase the product. To top it off I contacted their sales chat and asked for a human. The bot prompted me a few questions then asked how many people were on my team. I answered less than 15 and the bot gave me FAQ’s then turned off the chat. A clear sign that they don’t care about you if you’re a small business. If that were fixed I’d give it a 5. I recommended them to a few people, but unfortunately I had to warn them after that portion. If they just changed that it would be awesome!

Best in project organization and calendar recurrences. I’ve tried every app out there for calendar and project organization and they all lacked something. Asana has it ALL. I’m able to get all my needs met by the free version of the app and for that reason alone I’m considering upgrading for some of the bells and whistles as I’m sure they can only make the experience better. We use this in my office for project management, recurring tasks and deadlines. I’m now using it at home to help keep us all on the same page with vacation planning, appointments, chores, and bill pay.

Love it but constant updates create problems. The latest updates allow more functionality in “My Tasks”, now my issue is that dragging and dropping tasks into a specific order doesn’t work well on mobile. Tasks get jumbled up and the screen has to be refreshed several times before the correct order of the tasks shows. As you can imagine refreshing the screen 2-3 times before I can move a task is annoying and time consuming. Please fix this user experience on mobile.

pleexy and Todoist pro make it fire. You gotta trick it out just right but after taking off a month to build a system for managing projects, I ended up reluctantly deleting every other app and using asana (my least fav). BUT- then I found out it can be pushed to Todoist pro with pleexy and wow… yes there is so many settings you have to tweak to make it flawless. I have to rely on screenshots to make sure it’s exactly the same for each client I setup. But dang. I get Todoist interface, plus exact time notifications without paying incredibly steep price for asana. Keep in mind, I have the asana setup perfectly using templates I created from paid courses, so for example… my friend already has asana with everything he needs to do. But he never checks it. I come in and make a new project and simplify his goals and tasks, boom, now he’s using it everyday. That’s the big game changer. Aside from Todoist being able to flexibly change things around AND get calendar notifications at exact times I need. The free version of asana app alone is limited without this, and therefore, 4-stars at best.

Widget, Widget, Widget!. Asana is great if your on your computer at your desk… but I find it really lacking when you’re on the go and using a mobile. The widget is pretty much useless for long term projects because it will only show you “todays task”… but most of the time my tasks are due days, or weeks out but I want to be able to see them at a glance. I love TickTicks widget - but prefer Asanas interface. Unfortunately for Asana I use the widget so much that Asana became pretty much useless for me.. If Asanas widget was updated so I could see tasks, and projects, in their entirety and see what was coming up or do next that would be amazing. Please Asana! Update your widget to be more useful and provide more functions. Set up a Project Widget so I can see my projects and everything that is tasked in them. Set up a “ To Do” Widget that overviews all tasks not just “today”. Set up a Priority Widget that shows your tasks in order of urgency! Please ✨

New update makes App less mobile friendly. My small construction company has been using Asana for almost 6 years now and this most recent App update which made a pretty big overhaul on the Inbox which has made it almost useless while trying to work in the field. I do like the swipe to archive feature and that you can hide a task string in the inbox, but now that you can’t “like” a comment right in the inbox OR read a comment that is longer than about 10 words only slows down the entire experience. The whole point of the inbox is that you can quickly read through all of the things happening in the various tasks that you own or collaborate on and having to open the task every time to see what someone said or like the comment to let them know you read it or whatever really slows down the workflow, especially if my cell service is slow, and now I find myself waiting until I can sit down at a computer to go through my inbox which is slowing down my response time and causing my inbox to stack up to overwhelming proportions almost daily. Keep the update format, but bring back full comments and the “like” button in the inbox.

Unable to reach tech support. We are a team of 2, and only one of us has access to the home page. We both had it for the first hour or so, then mine disappeared and has never returned. The live webinar was no help- they said to contact tech support. Tech support is just a series of articles and none apply to my situation. Tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, updating the app, updating my iPad Pro, search you tube videos, etc. I can never ever get to my Home Screen and now it’s a useless app. Shame because we were in love with it at first! If anyone has a way to help me, I’m listening! Thank you!

Trash. This app is trash. It lets me login and think that I am creating a new project and tasks, and once I’ve done a bit of work it throws an error “can’t sync with server. Download the latest version”. Well I downloaded this version 5 minutes ago and there I no newer version. But really? What kind of customer experience is this? I would prefer the app to crash completely before use rather than bait and switching me into doing work and then throwing all that work away during an error. I’m connected to WiFi but either way where is your offline mode? There’s seriously no queue so that offline entries can be persisted when you are online? Or in this case when you completely break the parity between mobile and your API.

The desktop site is amazing, but the app limits productivity. I love project management software tools and the full computer web version of Asana is a powerful, efficient tool. The mobile app, however, is exceedingly limited. If you are only managing a simple to-do list, no problem. If you have multiple projects with multiple team members, the mobile app is a roadblock to productivity. You cannot view tasks assigned only to you sorted by project. This is huge...you loose the context of the task inside and project. You can view all tasks by project, but you cannot filter to see only your tasks, but have to load and scroll past all those tasks assigned to your team members. If you have a few minutes waiting in line out in the world and want to check off a task...forget about it. You’ll wait for a while as the app loads and then have to spend more time trying to find be relative content. OmniFocus has this solved exceedingly well, but is only for individuals, not teams. I sincerely hope Asana will work on its mobile features. My team simply cannot use it on mobile or tablet devices.

Would be a 5 if these two are added. The Asana iOS app has improved significantly. I actually enjoy using the iOS app and it’s my preferred interface. The comments below are for Asana in general. 1. Please provide better file management. The current process is clunky and frustrating. Users should be able to put files in an hierarchical structure. There should also be a comprehensive search feature. 2. The chat function is the least used function in my organization because it is buried so deep in the app. Users resort to Teams, Email and Whatsapp for project chat and discussion.

Love Asana, but not iOS. Are use Asana a lot for work, and overall, it’s been an incredibly valuable tool for myself, and my colleagues to manage a strategic plan, various workflows, ad hoc, teams, and projects that come up throughout the year. But I really find myself avoiding using it on my iPhone because it’s just a really clunky UI. There’s also a few things that you can do on the computer that are missing on the app which in this decade I feel like it’s really just unacceptable for a Saas product that was developed so recently. For example, you can’t create a new team on the app, only on the computer. I recently had this problem, while on business travel at a conference and identifying something that needed addressing. I wasn’t lugging my laptop around to the conference sessions, but I wanted to start laying out our project. It would be assigned to a new team though, so I can’t do it. I googled and found a post in user community forum from over five years ago of someone asking for this feature, and getting blown off by the support rep. 👎 Also, in addition to having your own dedicated my tasks list, I feel like every new user profile should automatically get as a default, a team consisting of just themselves, for building out richer projects that they aren’t ready to populate into any team yet. Like how you always have your own DM channel with yourself in Slack.

Awesome free version of the app.. Let me start with saying that I’m using the free version of this app to keep track of a couple different personal projects I’m working on. It’s so easy to use and reminds me a lot of Jira, which I use for work. It’s easily boosted my productivity and keeps me going while working on multiple tasks. While the paid version has some of the better features, the free version has enough features for the home enthusiast worker trying to move along on personal projects. Great product.

Please Revert. We have been using asana extensively to manage both tasks and communication throughout all branches of the company. It’s a lifeline and an extremely valuable tool! Since the newest update a week ago, the work efficiency has been effected significantly. Unread messages are condensed into a drop down accordion (good), but even when you click on the drop down arrow parts of the threads gets cut off and we have to click into every conversation to read the full thread (bad). This is very inconvenient due to the start-from-first formatting in asana, rather than starting from the last comment and scrolling back to historical comments. This means A LOT of scrolling, and creating new/duplicate tasks, just to reduce the amount of scrolling before arriving at the latest comments. The “like” 👍🏻 feature is also less useful now as messages get condensed. We are using asana for very time sensitive updates and tasks. Some employees may receive thousands of updates per day through all the various projects. With the new update, this makes it very difficult to handle the higher volume collaboration that asana is such a great resource for!

Missing Critical Functionality: Prioritizing. Thought I would use this app for my husband and I to keep track of all our household projects. I am a Project Manager by day and have worked with a few different professional tools. Asana is missing a very basic piece of functionality: prioritizing! The priority set by the drag and drop feature should be carried to all member’s lists of the project (everyone on the project should be working off the same priority). I looked up some work-arounds to accomplishing this, like custom fields, but they are not available in the free version. This should be an out-of-the-box, free feature. Going to delete this app and keep looking for one to meet our needs.

Lacking a key feature!. ASANA is good but certainly NOT great. The app is able to manage all of the users tasks, and I really like the ability to use boards vs lists for projects. However, the reminders/notifications are so lacking that the user is forced to remember to revisit the app. There is NO WAY FOR TIME-BASED PUSH NOTIFICATIONS. What kind of productivity app is incapable of creating a little nudge at the time of the task being due? Developers allow users to set a time due and then remind them at 9 am of everything that is due that day—broken. As soon as this issue is solved, ASANA would be a one stop shop for productivity. Unfortunately, until then it’s not functional for full integration.

Use it daily for our team. I own a business and we use this every day for our small team to keep up with all the millions of things we work on. From company goal setting social, media content planning, to daily to dos, events and more - I like that there’s a mobile app that syncs with desktop so you never miss a beat and get notified via push notifications. I do wish recurring tasks once completed would disappear and reappear on the assigned date rather than living permanently on the board regardless of status. It takes a little bit of getting use to as there’s so many features and ways to organize but overall it’s a pretty great app.

iPad app is Garbage. Love Asana on the desktop but this iPad app is a dumpster fire. The interface is severely nerfed in order to make it overly tablet-friendly. The entire point of calendar view is rendered COMPLETELY moot when i can only see one day at a time rather than a bird’s eye view of the month or week ahead. No access to templates. Can’t convert tasks to projects. No reporting. Board view is clumsy. Search is super slow. And I’m on the latest iPad Pro so that’s not the problem. The good news is that you can use the browser version on your iPad. The bad news is that when you pay thousands of dollars for a service like this…well, you kind of expect better. As far as Asana in general goes, it’s great. I’ll agree with a few other reviewers about the messaging though: it’s all there but is terribly implemented, which is so confusing to me. It feels like Asana doesn’t want you to use it. Make it it’s own section or a persistent panel that sits on the side or something. That would be a be a game changer; I’d drop our other chat platform.

Fantastic platform, but could use a few key updates. Absolutely love Asana - swear by it for project and task management. The app lost a star from me because it lacks an Outlook integration for iOS. Super frustrating to be using your phone for work and not be able to make an actionable task, easily linked to an email, like you can on the desktop app. An offline mode would also be helpful. If you look at the Asana customer boards, both pieces of feedback (especially the mobile Outlook integration) has been brought up for literally years. People are even moving to Trello for it and I might too. Please, Asana, add these!

Love Asana, App needs work. I love Asana. It’s one of the best productivity web apps I’ve used, and I particularly love how they listen to feedback. However, their mobile app and iPad app definitely needs some functionality and interface upgrades. For one, my team tends to check on individual member bandwidth via calendar view, but currently that’s not possible when viewing tasks for other team members, only your own tasks and projects. Another is the inability to see the projects a task belongs to when just glancing at your task list. I have to select each task individually to see what project they belong to. It’s quite annoying especially since we use templates for our projects — so I end up with 4 tasks with the same name from different projects. There’s just a lot more functionality and interface design in the Web App over the mobile and iPad app. I’m okay with the restrictions for mobile, but I just switched to working on an iPad and would love to see the app become a little more robust. Til then, I might just go on safari and use the web app on my iPad. Not ideal, but it’ll give me the functionality I need to use Asana effectively.

Features not the same in web, mobile. It would be great if this had all the basic features that even the free web version does… but it doesn’t, and that boggles my mind. For me, the biggest thing is that the app doesn’t support tags, which we rely heavily on in Asana. Try to log in in Safari on my iPhone or iPad and… it just redirects you to the app, or if you delete the app, it directs you to download it. Why even have an app if it’s not going to have feature parity (every method of accessing Asana should have parity with the other methods), and why *completely block people* from using your web site to get to the features your mobile apps lack? Tbh, we wanted to expand our use of Asana, but dumb (because this is basic stuff they haven’t fixed in years, and shouldn’t be too hard to do, and are table stakes) stuff like this is just hamstringing our use of it and keeping it really limited.

A distant third from desktop and iPhone version. Asana desktop is great, and Asana on iPhone is also pretty good, but please fix the iPad app. It feels like little or no thought went into porting the iPhone version. If you only fix one thing here, fix the column proportions. Either make them resizable or dynamic or make them 50/50 instead of 75/25 or whatever it is. Seriously: when commenting on tasks, you give us a tiny, tiny box on the bottom right with a massive amount of empty space on the screen in the middle. Take a cue from Things 3, which does the task list UX on mobile far better. The iPad would be the perfect Asana device, but it’s actually less useful and more frustrating than this same app on the much smaller iPhone. 2/5

Beautifully works as a WIP. In search of a low cost WIP (work in progress) app and found this. We are forcing it to do what we want and it couldn’t be any happier. This app is amazing. It is flawless and every time we think “I wonder if we could implement this in the app?” .....we can. It does everything we need and not only allows us to communicate with those who depend on our services, but they can watch the progress on each of their items as well as see when it has shipped. Please don’t let this app ever die! Our business now relies heavily on it.

Customer service???. We have been dealing with a double account now for over a month. Customer service is only via email. Though they continue to link my account to another company that I don’t own, which that they did without my persuasion, they are not solving the problem. They Keep emailing the same fixes that don’t work, and do not provide any human to get on the phone to get it resolved. I would love their platform, if they weren’t so messed up in the customer service department. Though it will be a HUGE undertaking, I am now faced with having to take our entire company setup offline, and to some other platform. We have spent hours and hours setting this one up. This is costing our whole team money. But honestly, we have come to the end of our rope with this crew.

😠 Frustrating UX makes it impossible to manage subtasks 😠. Jebus Howard Christmas, do I have to come over there to Asana HQ and teach their designers and product managers UX 101? It’s all for naught it’s unusable / gets in the way / wastes my time, instead of getting things done. We’re evaluating replacements because Asana can’t do the basics of task, subtask and project management without firing up an actual computer. 🤢 1. The web interface, which has subtask<->tasks features is unusable. Drag-and-drop doesn’t work on iPhone in (Mobile) Safari. 2. Can’t convert a task to a subtask on an iPhone in the iOS app. 2.1. Can’t multiple select many tasks and convert them to subtasks of another task all at once. 3. Can’t convert a subtask to a task on an iPhone in the iOS app 3.1. Can’t multiple select many subtasks and convert them to tasks all at once. 4. Can’t convert a task to a project on an iPhone in the iOS app. Why don’t they have a drag-and-drop feature to drop onto another task to turn it into a subtask, instead of rearranging tasks, after a delay? or hard press menu to do something else?

HORRIBLE clients of people who want to use this app. If people want to use asana to manage their work, great for them. What is awful about it is it forces their clients to use asana to communicate through asanas messages. I don’t want to install an app. I don’t want to click a link on my email to see what someone wrote me. I want to be able to search my own emails if I need to find something in our thread. I don’t want to use asana, but since the company I’m working with does, I have to go through the hassle. Asana needs to send messages to others as normal emails or something to stop frustrating others who don’t want to use their system. My whole office is beyond annoyed to the point we don’t want to be the one to work with the clients who use asana. If you are thinking of using asana for your own business management, please don’t use their messaging and task system with others. It’s seriously frustrating for others working with you.

Love Asana.- Needs offline Mode though…. I was searching for the perfect task list / project management software to help me and my incredibly short attention span gain an ounce of organization. I needed it to synchronize with multiple devices. I needed it to keep my projects and clients separate, but also needed it to be able to link them if needed. I had to be able to upload files and link them to the projects and clients. I needed to keep notes and comments on each project to keep up with conversations that span emails and various other forms of messaging despite my pleas to stick to email. I found all of that with Asana. Now, I don’t have to remember every detail because I can just take notes freely that are linked to my color coded, time stamped task. It’s a fantastic app and one of the first and last I open daily. My only gripe with it is my inability to work with it on my iPad while I’m on the move since I couldn’t afford the model with cell data. It works when already connected and lost connection, but not if you freshly open the app without being connected. If that little issue is resolved then I have no reason to give this less than 5 stars. Even at the free level, it’s a great app.

Looks simple but feels clunky to me. I don’t find this app to be very intuitive in design. I find myself wasting time by looking for simple functions, such as setting privacy. I expected more transparency in settings and more fluidity in project management - based on the sample pictures here. Maybe it is more simple to use than it seems at first glance, but I found the setup to be confusing, possibly because it’s geared more for teams. I’m a Solopreneur so I have no team to share projects with. Therefore, constantly seeing prompts to invite team members or to share a project or to even have a project set to “public,” just makes no sense for me. It can be a little defeating and overwhelming to be consistently reminded that everything is a solo activity. I think it’s an awesome team app option that is free and ..for anyone who wants to take a little time learning how to access the mobile app functions or better personalize the project tasks, it is most likely a winner. But solo artists and entrepreneurs should keep looking. This is why I am more neutral with a 3 star rating. It’s not a bad app, it’s just not feature rich or intuitive enough for my needs. To clarify, I’m looking for quick and easy note taking and brain dump features in a clean and intuitive app layout that features project management through fast and easy task organization. If it takes too long to fumble for settings then I’ve already forgotten what I opened the app for.

Good but Needs Account Switching/Multiple Accounts Support. It needs a functionality similar to Gmail or Instagram where you can have (and monitor) separate accounts through the same app without having to log out and in. I understand this is meant to happen through “Teams” and their different views, but linking two accounts this way is not always feasible (if one, for example, has two different and unrelated businesses both on Asana that one would rather not associate; or one account for personal tasks, goals, errands and another is given by one’s workplace and they have no reason to be mixed).

I enjoy this app however improvement is needed before I buy into premium. This has certainly helped with task management and notifying my employees on a central interface however there are a bit of kinks to be made: -Being able to assign a task to more than one person so they show on their dashboard -Being able to have "announcements" instead of just tasks and projects so I don't have to assign a task and add followers which once they view won't see again unless they search for it because I'm the person "assigned". I want it to show up on their dashboard until I remove it. The conversation option doesn't really work for this and is also not availablen on the phone app. -the inbox has a tough time loading new and incoming notifications on the phone app and more often than not it won't load at all but I can see I have notifications yet to be seen so then I have to go on my computer to view the notifications in case it's time sensitive. - I also would like for there to be company calendar everyone can view for the public events, mandatory events, and schedule.

Great App BUT Missing these 2 features are killing team work and productivity. Asana has really been a game change for me personally. BUT, not so much for my team. People are typically stressed out and overwhelmed with Asana because of these 3 things. 1- IOS and even on Web app, it’s EXTREMELY difficult getting to the conversations area. As a result, people on my team resort to random and chaotic text/email threads. Solution? Have a dedicated conversations/chat area on iOS, easy to find and not hidden away. It’s questionable how they placed conversations deep within project area. For those new to Asana and even tech for that matter, it’s really a pain to get people to use a tool when important features are tucked away. 2- Feedback from my team has suggested that it is equally confusing and difficult trying to find files, folders and reference material. Sure Asana has a dedicated space hidden to find files and app for a particular project however, there really needs to be a central are to not just see files/folders but have ways of organizing as see fit. In our business, our team is constantly using the same documents for projects or our business. Solution? Create a a documents/folders dashboards are for which to store and save files with flexibility. Basecamp did this the best having hierarchy and easy accessibility for documents and folders.

Not very accommodating. In general, while this product is solid and useful, it could be much better if not for the ivory tower attitude of its developers. It’s fine if you’re willing to do things their way. But they don’t give you enough control over the user experience which Is littered with little annoyances that drag down the overall experience. For example, there appears no way to turn off the annoying splash screen in the iOS app that displays for a ridiculously long time. There’s pretty much zero opportunity to tailor it to your preferences or needs. I won’t be persuaded to pay for this app until there is. If you are evaluating this product, there is no obvious or easy way to ask questions or give feedback. (Sorry, help forums are not convenient. Convenient for the developer maybe, not the customer).

Love the app!. I use all the categories and features on the free version. There are 2 things that would make it even more amazing. The upcoming list would be cool if it were already sorted by date. You can get there with several clicks, but why not just set it up at from the start? 2. I used the repeat for all those habits I’m trying to build. I got a little carried away with sub tasks. So when I check off a repeat task with out checking off all the sub tasks, it adds all those sub tasks to a dark pit somewhere. My fix is to stop using the sub tasks and add the list to description. Or just change the date manually.

Absolutely Love This App. I use both the desktop and mobile version of this task manager. I love the ability and ease of use for me to be able to add, assign, follow, update etc my workflow. I’m a GM if a hotel and we have turned this workspace into a place to not only track guest requests, cleaning schedules, waiting lists and more to preventive maintenance and deep cleaning schedules. This keeps us on schedule and on target for completing required work. The ability to comment and attach files keeps all relevant information in a central location and is easily searchable both for completed and incomplete tasks. I recommend this to everyone I can and even show it to new GMs that start the company as a tool to plan their hotels as well.

Perfect for a Design Team. I run a small design agency with less than 5 people, so we need a tool that is robust, but not so feature-filled that it’s cumbersome to manage. This combines the best of tools like Trello (Boards/Kanban method) with more full featured task management and collaboration. I’ve gone through a host of tools, paid and unpaid, and Asana has quickly become a favorite and indispensable part of our day to day operations. The app itself offers most, if not all, of the features of the web app and is super fast. Highly recommended.

User Experience is terrible. Trying to do some basic things like look up all tasks assigned to a worker and it’s impossible to find. Not intuitive for sure. When viewing a task and clicking the worker it takes you to a task assigned to someone else. One touch later you’re accidentally un assigning the worker without any warning or confirmation. Accidentally touch another spot and with ZERO WARNING you just completed someone elses task and didn’t even know it. It’s delayed when you click something so you’re don’t know the effect of your click until seconds later and you already clicking something else. The search leaves little to be desired. Its so frustrating, and to make it worse, Asana disabled the web version 100% so there is not even a backup method. They’re forcing this crappy, horribly designed iOS version on all. In summary, I think this was designed for the unicorn user. I mean for the person who actually designed it. I expect that persona to have small fingers, and know exactly where the mystery hotspots are. For me, I’m uninstalling this iOS version and looking for a better option. Our company has been using Asana since 2014. Use the app and you get that nostalgic feeling of going back to that time.

A fantastic app. I have spent endless hours in so many apps trying to understand their features, workflows, settings, etc and making my life fit to them. So frustrating! And it doesn’t ultimately work! But then I came across Asana. It has a simple interface and yet deep functionality. It’s beautiful in form and function. It’s intuitive. The web site as well as the app work so well. I find the app fully functional for most anything you want to do. This entire ecosystem was so well thought out. I use it every day. I would be lost without it. Thank you!!

Working well so far but wish I could upgrade for 1 person. After watching and reading how to work with Asana I started to figure it out more and apply it to how I need to work. It works very well. I’m in the free tier at the moment which is a great thing Asana offers, others only do 30 days. BUT there are lots of missing features, most important to me in timeline view and templates. Most software nowadays you can unlock features with a paid upgrade and I feel this would be super easily for Asana to implement a paid upgrade for one account. Currently you need to pay for 5 users minimum to get the features to make the platform awesome. Seems like a quick fix to make just a one person upgrade or maybe even just a pay to unlock feature sort of thing. Because of that I’m not sure if I’m going to stick around or not. It’s 1/4 the price to get these features from other companies and as a one man business that is a substantial amount.

Favorite productivity app. This is my favorite productivity app ever. I work at a church and this helps us manage our projects and special events. We use the desk top version for our task lists. But I love the app because, when I am at events or church services away from my actual desktop, if someone asks me to do something, schedule a meeting with a pastor, or just whatever, it is so easy to simply add the task to my to-do list on the go. This removes the pressure of having to remember the task from Sunday to Monday, giving me my weekends back and freeing up mental real estate to focus on relationships rather than my calendar. It’s amazing!

I like the app but there are few things it could use. The app is awesome! I use the project feature to communicate with my web designer the changes I want made to our website. It cuts down on meeting time because I leave images showing what I want done then he can log in and modify at his convenience. I will say though.... the app does crash unexpectedly from time to time which becomes a distraction. Also, I would really love to see a calendar feature so meetings, important dates, tasks, and projects can be consolidated within one app.

Easy to use. I am probably the most unorganized person ever lol. This app is simple to use but effective. I use this app for College assignments. It lets me choose to look at my tasks via calendar, board, or list. I love the board it’s more organized for me. I love that you can check things off and the reminders it gives you.. I need lots of reminders lol. It’s also nice that you get like a month free trial without putting your card information in. Definitely recommend!!

iPad not like desktop?. Like most things to do with the iPad. The closer it is to the desktop the better. Rather than thinking of it like a mobile app, think of it like a desktop browser made to suit the iPad. One other thing - how do i upload a photo lol.

Worst app ever. Would help if you could update your details, change email ect through app. Also browser forces you to use app on devices when I don’t want to.

Great but.... PLEASE do Apple Watch app even just for task alerts.

Cute and functional. I like the layout. It seems easy and user friendly.

Life saver. A must for students and teachers.. Powerful organising system. Help me with building my workflow effectively. Personal and professional life helper. Hope you could support older IOS system like 13.0 Thank you.

Title. Easy to use and minimalist but this app really needs smart due dates. Tapping in and out of menu after menu is tedious and frustrating.

Asana. Wonderful app that keeps getting better! I would absolutely love it to be onApple Watch, I have used other apps because they support watch but they are nowhere as good as Asana!!

Disappointed. The concept is great however, only my partner can add items, for this reason am deleting

The first time you have uuzuuzuui. I’m going on my walk with the dogs now so if

Good but lack essential feature. Generally good but not for long term mainstream use. Not able to add task for long term like in 10 years time. For example, remind yourself to replace fire alarm in 10 years time, it doesn’t allow you to enter that due date. Also, it’s ridiculously tedious to set due date like in 2 years— you have to scroll the calendar each month, that is, 24 times. It’s unthinkable. With this essential feature not thought-out, I’ll look somewhere else for long term use.

Love ❤️. I love Asana! Project management has become so much easier since using it for me and my remote team :)

Great project tracking app. Love it. Great design. Easy to use. With basic function provided, you can manage project well already. Highly recommend.

Great organisational tool. Love this app! Very reliable and easy to use. Great to assign tasks with expected time outcomes to different people. They are very generous with the free version too! Very grateful thank you so much.

Asana improved my business management capability 100%. I thought I had very good project management capability utilising excel, outlook calendar and sms (which became a tad hectic), however as our business expanded we needed a far more effective project management, work task list and communication system across different mediums (iPhone iPad and computer). Asana provided this. Best of all - it took 2 days to implement the new Asana system across 22 staff / contractors. Great system

Awesome for planning trips and goals. I use this app to plan and track my upcoming travels. It helps me keep on top of all the small tasks that I need to take care of. With a really busy life, this app is really easy to use and I find it to be very useful. Would love to have to option though to send a special link to join the board. Would make it easier to get others involved? Impressed!

Great app, works just as well as the website. I use the app almost every day to manage work tasks in different projects. The app works very well, I haven’t had any issues with it.

No Go. App just decides it wants to live on the login page and not let users get past. What ever you did in the last update can you FIX IT PLEASE?!?

Sound notifications. Please make sound notifications. That is all this lacks.

Can’t use multiple accounts. I work for two companies both on 20 hour plus work week basis. Both companies use Asana. I need to sign into my Asana accounts for both companies regularly. Is there a way I can sign into two accounts without having to constantly be signing out and back in.

Very Good. I can effecting use this app to organise my tasks. For improvement, they should add a little bit more colour and visualisation. Otherwise, a very good app.

Great App, Minor Issue. Been using this app for years. Really useful for tracking your tasks. One issue with a recent update is you can't drag and drop tasks on the app anymore as they don't stick to where you drag them.

Easy to use, nice layout options. I’m using Asana as a sole trader managing work and personal projects. I love the desktop and phones apps - the layout options, categorising and ease of use. For me, it would be even better if there was a more affordable single use option and if the task manager always defaulted to the person inputting on the desktop app. Otherwise, I’m finding Asana to be really helpful and easy to use.

Always logged out. I’m tired of logging into this app so I’m deleting it.

Great tool but needs to adapt to freelance workforce. Asana is great for project management but if you have multiple clients/workplaces you need a separate account for each. I wish you could merge all workplaces so you can see a list of all tasks rather than toggle between all your different clients. Also if a team mate sends you a whole heap of files (not zipped) there’s no “download all” function, you will have to go and individually download each attachment

Great promise but still incomplete. The app like the desktop applications has UI shortcomings that would suggest the devs have never used the product. Take for example subtasks. If you have say 10 tasks each with the same subtask you just get a list of the subtasks titles and no way to know what task they belong to making the task list a mess. The desktop similarly has no horizontal scroll bars so the board view is unusable if it has more than 5 elements. Promising app but not a platform independent project tool that you can jump from desk to web to ios seamlessly. Another huge missing piece is any help in the app. Again back to the browser. In a couple of years this will be good….so for business an expensive app to implement because of the UI shortcoming and required training…. Last thing tasks have start and end dates …. where is the start date you ask …. hidden in the timeline view and not available in the task card.

Loving it so far. This is a well polished app worth spending time with. I haven’t tried it by collaborating with anyone yet but love it just the same. Any chance of having hourly reminders devs? Such as “check patient every 5hrs from completion date “ ?

Great and simple. This is a great way to communicate to the team as a whole as well as visualise the ways in which each is department working on to achieve their goals to achieve the vision. Would be great to see Asana incorporating Apple Watch.

Version History Easter Eggs. Arguably the best part of this already great app. My personal favourite is the citronella version update

Very Stable, Great Concept. They treat me well. 5 years testing this. Very Stable, Great Concept. They treat me well. 5 years testing this platform and I’m so impressed. They haven’t deleted my data (or lost it in a server upgrade). They haven’t pushed sales. They’ve created a great product and delivered on all sectors. I have a Global vision for my brand, and I will certainly be buying space (ie. when I get dozens of clients) because I’ve pumped so much time into the build over the past 5 years of free use. I’ve been able to build a small team, for free, and test the upload capacities, free storage, labelling characteristics and integration with my vision of a cloud-based enterprise, and I am so impressed! I’ve compared this platform to my workplace platforms (in International Business Strategy) and found it to be excellent for basic integrations and workflows for teams!

Ok but needs some funk. The bones are there to make a useful AND fun task manager that I want to use, but it needs the funk that Trello has to really make me want to use it. Things like photo backgrounds, colours and icons etc. these things aren’t gimmicks, they make you want to use it. Strongly suggest you get some graphic design support.

Task list. It would be great to see all tasks as a list. Is this possible?

Love this app - needs duel account capability. We use this daily for work, it’s been easy to learn and I use the app at home and web version at work to keep track of my tasks and coordinate replies from external clients. I love it so much I want to use it at home for managing home tasks between myself and my husband. I’d love to see the functionality of being able to switch from one account/email to another within the app. I don’t want to use my work login and email for home tasks and start a huge task list which if I ever move on from that position I can’t take with me. Similar to how Facebook or Instagram allows work and personal accounts within one app, I’d love that!

App lacks functionality. Would love the ability to “un-delete” deleted tasks from the app in an easy to find menu option. Also since an update to both app/computer Asana a few months ago, we’ve lost the ability to “mark” a task for “today” or “upcoming” and these particular headings under the “my tasks” tab no longer automatically apply and move tasks from the “upcoming” into “today”. The “today” list feels almost redundant now.. Because I have to move tasks over myself and or tasks that are upcoming can sit in today for as long as possible. Can we please get this back to how it was.. It’s affecting our companies work flow with how Asana previously worked compared to how it works now.

Such an amazing app!. ASANA is just fantastic. For a busy entrepreneur it makes everything so simple. Just as good on the phone as an app as it is on the computer. Highly recommended!

I keep coming back to Asana, but…... They really need to allow us to change the wallpaper / background of lists and boards. It’s nice when you use Trello and during the work day you can see a nice beach outlook or landscape. Asana is very clinical, it works but I’d like the option to make it a bit prettier !

Poor support. I used to love Asana. In my new business, however, I can’t get basic things like connection to Google Drive working. I wrote a detailed note to support but, 48h later, got no answer, except from an automated response acknowledging the ticket. I can’t afford to wait this long for a return and a fix - this is a business tool, not a social network platform.

Mind Body Clinical Hypnotherapy. Asana has been a god send as I can visually see what I need to do for online courses I’m creating, clients, my home - everything. I love the way you can still achieve a sense of accomplishment from ticking things off...and so much more - if you haven’t tried Asana, do...it will turn your organisation round in a flash.

Sync error and lose all your work. Thanks Asana

Can’t get past login. The desktop version is fantastic but I can’t get past the login page on the app

Needs multiple account support. Decent except for the lack of multiple account support. Absolutely insufferable logging in and out regularly with the addition of 2FA slowing things down as well.

More than one account. I hope to be able to use more than one account in the app

yes yes yes gurl. good good good, i like this very much helps me so so much please get it HOWEVER i would like it to make a noise once a task is due since you can set a time, i would love it to make a noise, but knowing me there is probably a button for that i just have to find it. iv connected my mac and my phone to the same task so i can look at both

No push notifications on app. Even when using the desktop site, I rely on my phone to remind me of tasks. Email reminders get lost with all the other things I need to do in my inbox. Please fix this. Still need to use Wunderlist for this feature.

A must have. Great tool for any business or team. Simple, easy to use and makes work flow much easier

Great platform, iOS UX now out of step with web version. I love Asana. But these days I find most of the planning and forward-looking tasks that are best done in a cafe on an iPad or an iPhone can only be done on a laptop or web browser. It’s frustrating.

Improves prioritising & completing tasks. Have really benefitted from and ENJOYED using Asana. I find the interface user-friendly and easy to grasp. I don’t find myself forgetting so much - I simply make an Asana task out of everything I need to do, and Asana reminds me! Helping me prioritise, especially useful when projects have multiple threads. Find myself completing tasks more often and wasting less time on unimportant tasks. Great how it syncs with Toggl so I can track my use of time too! Thanks so much, Asana.

Awesome and very helpful. This app has really helped me do my homework and be organised for school. It also helps me set some personal goals for myself.

Asana for the win. Awesome program, really has helped bring our business to the next level. Much appreciation to the creators. You have helped myself and my business so much, we are still learning so much

Looks ok, but. Way over the top for what I need Not comfortable about storing my business info on an external server. Deleted

Great app + service. Would love to see tags in the main view though.

Lagging. It lags when I’m trying to add photos or attachments, for some reason it just freezes whenever I try to. Even after I close and reopen.

BEST APP FOR SMALL BUSINESSES. By far this app is a huge asset to my business. As my customer base expands, I’m able to keep organized and updated in a way that I couldn’t before. I tried EVERY SINGLE project management utility out there and this one is the absolute best! Not to mention that other apps charge a lot of money for a business run by one person - whereas Asana is completely free for me to use ALL of its features. I own a jewelry keepsake business. I start a new project for each client. I’m able to add specific tasks, dates and can label all of the information that I choose. I use one column for customer information, another column for the customers order, columns for each item ordered, a column for items I need to order for completion. If I need to see all the items I need to order from every client, I simply look up a tag and have all the information right in front of me. What’s even better, is you can invite the client to look at their orders progression. It saves time on messaging and was what I initially was looking for when I came across this amazing app. I have nothing but great things to say about the usage of Asana for my business. THANK YOU!

Wow. Incredible app. We moved our entire team from a previous productivity app that was going out of business. Had I know how much better Asana would be, I would have made the change sooner. Our staff is now super excited about checking things off their to do list. It’s like a game to them. And we can communicate about tasks in one place. No more endless emails. No more text conversations where the information gets lost, and only one person received the communication. I can see exactly when the task was created. We truly love this app. Thank you Asana.

Great app but could be simpler. Amazing app with great features. It took me a good 15 min to understand how to fully use the app to its full potential. Maybe a tutorial or a simpler system would help. Also to get the rest of my group to use the app was tricky since they also found it hard to learn to use the app. But that’s minor things, overall a great app.

Fantastic app. This is the perfect app for anyone that has many projects on the go.

Always behind the Web app. I'm a long time Asana user on the Web, and it's a perpetual frustration that features from the Web version take forever to trickle down to mobile. For instance, right now you can't even make a header inside a project. Nor can you make a task dependent on another. Really annoying.

Won’t sync. I can’t even start a project or anything because it keeps saying it won’t sync. I uninstalled the app. Going to try to re-install it and see if anything changes :(

Y force to download app. No mobile site? It worked before.. Y force to download app. No mobile site? It worked before.

Great. This is a great tools for my team

Great app. Hi, I love having the mobile app to check in on the team and review deadlines when away front the computer. Can you please add the hour glass symbol (blocked by other tasks) to the task list? Else it looks like all tasks are available and outstanding Thanks

Great for delegating. But add this one thing!. I’m really loving this app. I’d switch my entire company over to this. But please add *voice note* as a way to discuss a task in the discussion filed - not just video. Sometimes a voice memo can be the fastest simplest way to explain a task for a manager. Without this, you’re forced to move away from the app and use other systems, which creates confusion.

Amazing app. I’ve been using this app for more than three years in my company and I have pretty much six different departments everyone with a variety of projects. This amazing app has lots of feature to keep me on track on all our projects even with the free version, Great job Ehsan team please keep up the great work.

Rating. Not driver friendly

My Favourite. I’ve use all the Project / Task management platforms out there, and Asana is my favourite one for sure!! - @DanielZiedins

Lily. I love Asana but OMG the IOS app is not the best. There’s a lot of stuff I cannot do. Please upgrade!

Siri can create tasks in Asana!. So creating a task is basic, but easy! As a first draft of the feature, it works flawlessly when I demonstrate it to my friends. Occasionally Siri and Asana need to reauthenticate to enable tasks to be created while the iPhone is locked. But it’s been a life- and time-saver being able to create tasks hands-free in the car!

Great app. One of the most interesting features about this app it's the possibility to create sub-tasks with specific dates. It's easy to integrate with google agenda.

Bring back the colon. There is currently no way to add a section on an iPad, rendering the app essentially useless. Stay away until they fix it. (P.S.: it’s been six months, they ain’t fixing it.)

PDF management. We use to attach PDF files to tasks, so that others could import them to Good Note (5) so they could write on them. Looks like the new version is no longer allowing this! This a step back for us !

Not for what I need. I’m sure this app is great, however I’m a Detailer with severe OCD so when it comes to organization I need an app that can do it all… ideally I would like my boss to be able to add a car to my list and me be able to change the status from Start to In Progress to Completed without having to create a new task between start and in progress (if that makes sense) which is super important so we know how long it’s taking us to complete tasks and my boss knows where we are at in terms of our work load without having to come downstairs or text us. also being able to manually order the tasks based on priority would be handy too… obviously these are just a few things Im looking for in an app so maybe this can be some good feedback for the developers.

Messy to navigate on my phone. The desktop version makes sense and you can use a few different views to match your though processes, but in the phone app it’s just a heap of junk in no particular order. Tough to do anything unless you’re on your actual computer - which kind of ruins the whole process for me.

On iPAD, this sucks.. Sorry but this is a really bad user experience on my ipad. Trello is much better and easier to use.

Please support PWA. Here's my suggestion: remove this app from the App Store and enable Progressive Web App support for the Asana website. The website has all the features and much better UI than this app, but is lacking PWA support for a separate window experience. Plus, the website keeps bugging me to open or install the iOS app, which is annoying.

One suggestion. It would be nice to have a “Tasks I’ve completed” filter, the “recently completed tasks” shows everyone’s tasks.

Tasks, Goals for Work and Life. I am really enjoying this app for not only planning my tasks and goals for business, but also for personal. It is truly an amazing all-in-one app. Highly recommend this for anyone who is setting goals and needs a little reminder throughout the week.

New version caused notifications to stop. Great app for work related communication, unfortunately this new version has caused the app to stop posting notifications. I have checked the notification centre on my phone and everything is turned on. Anyone else having this issue?

President. The app was more intuitive and user friendly. You are trying to have to many things in one basket, very hard to use the app.

LIFE CHANGING. This app is really good for notes and I use it for my YouTube channel but it looks great for your company and I would recommend it

The App isn’t user friendly. The app is not really user friendly, the UI is complex for nothing. It’s need to be optimized. We can’t easily delete our account inside the app.

DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Try to cancel our plan and its impossible to cancel anything because Asana make it too hard to cancel. When you clic on (cancel my plan) it open a error message and the customer service is ridiculous. We had to call Visa to cancel our credit card and all the problems it comes with. Very bad customer service.

integration with gmail app still no work. Harrro, I still cannot assign task to other team member (only myself) via gmail app integration. 😿

Something is fishy with the reviews. Asana, as an experience I’ve been burdened with at work, is pretty average. Lots of features, not a great workflow, but I can live with it. One of my biggest issues with Asana is the burden it places on me to figure out the context of “where I am” with any given issue/ticket/whatever. It’s messy and disorganized. Complex workflows or automation are slooooowwwwwww. This is amplified by several orders of magnitude on iOS. The interface is difficult, unclear and generally the kind of frustrating experience that makes it difficult to work on the iPad (IE it’s the apps not the tool itself). There are so many issues beyond “where I am”. The most pressing is the same inability to resize the bulk of the reading to a decent column size. Why are my tasks lists taking up 2/3rds of the screen and the tasks themselves with all the details and conversation forced into a view the size of a smartphone? While the same concern exists on the web app, I do have some control over other factors. Let’s not even talk about the auth/login flow. I must have had to click login and signing at least three different times, including a final “login to Asana” after I’d “logged into Asana.”

Lots of fake reviews. Stop buying fake reviews start do some decent improvements so maybe people will pay you without the need to scam them!!

Changed my academic career!. I discovered this app after looking through the productivity section and was trying to look for something to help me with university because I was struggling to keep motivated. Asana honestly has changed my life, I got the best grades ever this semester because I was able to stay organized and record all my assignments on the asana website. The interface is amazing and so easy to use, I love I can change colours and add sections to organize and better visual my tasks. I wish I knew about Asana years ago!!! 😍 I recommend it to all students!

Need a black theme. Black / dark themes needed

Don’t use this app. Go onto the desktop and use it through a browser. The app is useless for calendar views and general function of the service. Compared to desktop using this app is frustrating and useless. Combine that with the lack of safari support on the website and you force me not to use my iPad as a daily driver.

Ha. Ever look in the comments and think “why did not I think of that?”

Unlawful inability to cancel this app. I cannot cancel this app. I follow the instructions to cancel but it won’t let me. I even tried the “Rport a Problem” Page here on the App Store. The part where you click is covered by an unclickable message. My 30 day trial ends in 8 days! But it won’t let me cancel. I wonder how much money they scam doing this?? Cancel my account!!!

Today widget. Love Asana, but do wish the Today Widget would have a running tally of items due on the day, as well as overdue, so you get a better picture of actual items to do - not just ones set for that specific day.

Superb. Life become so easy after using Asana ✌️✌️✌️😊😊😊

Life Saver. Best scheduling app ever! Let’s you assign a person to a task as well as a time and date to complete it by. And that’s all with the free version. Perfect for Group projects

Notifications badge glitch. My notification badges just keep climbing in number, even after I’ve archived everything. It’s super stressful to wake up at see 20+ notifications!

Forced to use App on mobile. The app is great, don’t get me wrong. BUT I’m not able to view Asana on my mobile browser - it forces me to use the app - which I’m not able to download unless I’m on wifi. So work on the go? Nah. We had to drive home today for a work emergency, just to get into Asana, because my phone has deleted the app (thanks apple). Whatever my own phone is doing or not - I should not be forced to use your app to be able to view a task, when I have a browser in my hand. It’s beyond frustrating when you’re already low on time.

No support, serious issues.. Certain core features aren’t available on mobile, making it impossible to onboard an entire team quickly. Zero support, but plenty of spam autobot emails. Like literal floods of them. Could be useful, but it’s too late for our companies. Have moved on. Be better.

Good app. Good app but should send more reminders

Froze. I signed out and switched accounts and the process was super laggy on my iPhone X and then suddenly it wouldn’t even load the tasks or anything at all on wifi or data. Had to delete.

Spam your email all the way. Got the app as one of our builders use it but since I get constant emails that are not needed and I cannot find an option to turn them off. Extremely upsetting!!!!!

Disappointed. I have asked repeatedly for support. Asana charges for additional emails if they are the same company and will not even allow as guests. I purchased the upgrade personally and they keep charging me even though I want to use it as a solo user. All I’m paying for is so I have an alarm for the scheduled items. It is extremely expensive and not worth what I’m paying. When I have tried contacting them for more info, they will not give me a contact or answer the phone on my invoice. No personal service and chat bot useless, Dark Net.

Not the worse far from the best. Have been using Asana for over a year now all the while hoping they would add a way to download attachments as a collective from tasks so you don’t have to open and then download each one separately but I guess not… not very efficient and can’t even upload entire client files/folders have to upload each attachment on its own or only as a zip folder hopefully it gets better and can actually help some of us maintain efficiency as that’s is one of the most important aspects of running a business

Please cache tasks. The app is obviously great. However, not caching any tasks means there’s no offline functionality, so it’s happened where I don’t have good cell service, I add tasks, and they don’t sync back so get lost. It also just makes everything take longer since the app has to load all tasks and sections every time I open it, even if the last time was 30 seconds prior. These obviously aren’t total failures but do make it harder than necessary to add tasks sometimes.

Really great but a couple steps from perfect. I love asana and use it daily but there’s a couple of things I think it could improve on. First, I agree that there needs to be an offline mode where you can at least view tasks and edit projects that no one else is a part of. Additionally, I’d like to be able to see a calendar view that shows all the projects I’m a part of at once so that I don’t have to open and close all the projects to take a look at my day.

Not all change is good. This used to be an amazing app. I’ve been using it for years and have been quite an evangelist for Asana for work and personal use. This year, however, they took out a major function, which is the ability to create sections in the mobile app. (And to be honest, the shortcut in the desktop version is also now clunky.) It’s totally useless to have to log in to a desktop to organize a list. The app was previously amazing for making sure all the important details got captured and organized. Now not so much.

I’m a fan. Long-time user and fan. I have utilized Asana collaboratively in a school setting and while working as the controller of two cannabis companies (I use it personally, as well). The recurring tasks function is unforgiving, forcing me (a lifelong procrastinator) to move forward in my assignments. I have used other desktop and mobile project apps but always return to Asana.

Too complicated to be useful. One of my clients implemented Asana on their project. It was a CONSTANT struggle to get people to actually use it - especially the folks over 45 or 50. It has too many bells and whistles, which caused confusion and overwhelm, so then people ended up reverting to e-mail... which defeats the point. We were constantly moving things to their “proper” places, because confused users were posting messages where they didn’t belong, etc. Asana just took a lot of maintenance because the interface is poorly designed (both iPad and desktop versions). If you’re looking for a tool to help you manage projects, Basecamp has a much simpler and friendlier interface, so people will actually USE it!

All Hail to Asana. Asana, let me count the ways I love thee… I love how you have so many free functions…I love how easy you are to use…I love how you have a board view, a list view, and a calendar view—easily changed, depending on your preference…I love how easy tasks are to move around… I love that there are tasks > sub tasks > sub-sub tasks… all easy to assign to different team members. I can go on and on.

Wanted to like this. I really wanted to like this app, but I need more control of the functions. For instance I need to be able to delete a task, and not simply archive it. I have no idea how to do that. I can archive it, but that’s not good enough because I need to be able to play around with it then delete it. Is there a reason the developers are retaining this I do not know. Great for the price though. There are other things I would like to be able to do as well. Thank you for the attempt. I’ll keep it just in case improvements are made.

Section “:” Command Removed without Alternative. Developers updated software recently to force the use of “tab N” to add a section, removing the function of “:” forcing new sections on the mobile device. Now I can’t create sections on cell phone, my primary use for both personal and work. Why would you remove a feature without creating an alternative? Terrible development choice. If not remedied will be the reason my entire team changes software. This is an important feature. Went backwards from 5 stars to not functional for our needs. Seriously, needs remedied. This is my favorite app.

Phenomenal product. We at Spruce love Asana and have been using it for over 6 years now. The inbox is a very elegantly and effectively designed feature that I cannot live without. Having a great mobile application is key for productivity. We have a distributed engineering team spanning 6 timezones and Asana makes working asynchronously a dream. Thank you for building such a great product and braving through a crowded market.

Meh. Kind of counterproductive. I like efficiency and any app that offers a way to streamline communications has my vote. Sadly, Asana fails at a critical function: notifications. Either you must leave email notifications turned on or you'll never be alerted when your assigned a task or someone leaves a comment. Unless you sit at your computer staring at the Austin a screen waiting for a tiny orange dot to appear in the menu bar. Until Asana adds push notifications to text or desktop, there's little efficiency gain over just emailing files and comments to people. I want to like Asana for its simplicity and aesthetic, but for team communications it needs more work to provide real gains.

Stole $700!!. I was told the account was closed but then they charged me $700. There is no customer service phone number or email address. It took me three months to get the chat bot to finally connect me to a person who could close the account again. HORRIBLE COMPANY, makes it impossible to close accounts. Very shady too- the person said they ‘don’t offer refunds’ but would ‘refund the charges if you continue the account for 2 more months’. That’s some shady business practices, I declined to work with them anymore and canceled the account immediately because I don’t trust them to fulfill their word on giving me a refund and am sure they would charge me more money.

I Never Knew Asana was so powerful. I have to admit that I had shiny object syndrome. I signed up for everything I could. I really did not know how to use most of them and became frustrated. I almost gave up on Asana too, until I joined a challenge that introduced me to a glimpse of Asana’s potential and I became excited. It has transformed how I do business and helped me to realize that I don’t need half the apps that I was using. I’m excited to leverage more of asanas power!!!!

Not nearly as good as desktop. I love Asana and use it to keep track of everything - social, freelance, workouts, personal life BUT the app is frustrating. The main issue (please fix this!!!) is that it is a real pain to assign a date to things on the app! When you select a date on the calendar and then press + Task it does not automatically go to that date. I want a quick, visual way to go from date to adding a task. Also for the love of god PLEASE make deleting easier both in the app and desktop. You currently have to click each task then click “...” then click delete.

More difficult to use than before. Back in 2016 and even 2021, this was easy to use and explain to others. Now, using the app on my iPad, the features are difficult to find, there are glitches (the side panel shows my a task’s details when I’m on the homepage looking at my favorite projects). It’s a bit difficult to work for me. However, compared to other project managers it’s still easy to comprehend once the project and tasks are set up, and it’s cute. I’ll stick with the web version for now, the app needs some work.

Great company, great app with limitations. I am a premium supporter of Asana. Many of the basic options are available in this app. I’d like to see options to control notifications, custom templates including creating them, project privacy controls, and categories within the projects available soon. It is these features I pay for and without access to them on a phone/tablet I feel this app falls short.

Stop the Midnight Notifications. I like this app a lot but I HATE how it will notify me at around midnight that I have a task due later that day. I don’t want to turn my notifications off and risk missing important assignments, but I’m tired of the app waking me up just to tell me that I have a project due in 20+ hours. If the designers are reading this: please give us the ability to turn off the project due notifications, or at least give us the ability to schedule the due reminders ourselves so that it works best with our own personal schedules. It would make the app SOO much better!!

Solopreneur checking in!. I’m a one woman show for Brand Management! From project management to request templates from my vendors, Asana allows my assistant and I to keep all my client projects straight, communicate efficiently with respective Asana users and there’s even a 8hr time difference between us! Truly appreciate Asana for offering this time management tool at an affordable cost! Thanks yall! Solo Dolo in Texas! 🤠

Simply !!! ASANA just change my routine. I normally used paper, excel sheets and a lot physical documents, you know about progress just went you update your schedule, with ASANA, I have a 360 rotation, I do not use more paper and I just use the search to navigate around different projects, with a simple typing I found it in a seconds. I am sure that you will be improving more and more. !!!!!

One of the best tools out there - subpar app. Listen, I love Asana. I’ve been using their tool for years now, and think they’re the best in the business. HOWEVER: I truly wish there was more desktop-like functionality on the iPad app specifically. Things like being able to see “parent” tasks of subtasks, more easily track custom fields, and better ability to organize teams/projects/orders/etc. It very much feels like a watered-down version of their tool, which is disappointing. And yet, in a pinch, I still use it and can usually get things done, even if it takes many more taps and scrolls than I’d like

They make it difficult to cancel trial. Great app but they make it difficult to figure out how to cancel the trial. I couldn’t from my phone so I emailed them and didn’t hear back after a few days. Then I had to use my laptop and still couldn’t find it. Went through their chat to get it cancelled (agent was nice). Even if I needed this app I wouldn’t support it. Cancelling a trial should be straight forward like other apps. It should be quick and easy and not take over 30 minutes to figure out. Could easily be interpreted as deceptive.

Great but I wish it had Siri commands.. I used to use Apples built in reminders app. I loved it because I could tell Siri to add a reminder for me. But to better keep track of projects and collaborate I started using Asana. I’m not going to spend all that time adding the voice reminders from Siri to Asana by hand. But this old habit is dying hard and I often find myself half in Asana and half in reminder. I like this app and this system but if it had voice commands or audio notes instead of voice to text, I’d be all over it with 5 stars.

Planning and tracking. I really like this app and the functionality it provides, but there is only one thing missing I can’t seem to find… the ability to have a unique number for each new task/ card… it would be useful to reference the number or search for it instead of only the name…

One big bug. I’ve been pretty happy with this app overall, but there’s one bug that never gets fixed: The badge number doesn’t change/reduce when you mark items complete. If I open the browser app or mobile app and mark something complete, there’s no change to the badge number UNLESS I open inbox view. The problem with inbox view is that it clears the badge as if I’ve completed everything—even if I haven’t. As a result, I either see the wrong number in the badge or nothing at all. When I mark an item complete, I want the badge number to reduce to indicate that.

Finally!. The Asana app is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve been in business now for over 5+ years and I’ve been searching for the most user friendly project management tool. The free version allows for me to organize myself, my work flows, business needs and communicate with clients and team members. I haven’t found another app and / or website that beats their services. Highly recommend!!

AMAZING app. It’s been such a great app just to get my personal life organized and now using it for my LLC to share tasks, the only complaint that I have because it’s so annoying is every time I leave and come back to the app or website page I have to change that I want everything organize by due date and to show only incomplete tasks. Those settings do not save and it’s the only thing that drives me bonkers about Asana but other than that it is awesome!

Badges not functional. Asana is critical to my freelancing work, companies usually on the other side of the world. So I have the iOS app on all my devices. App shows a badge with five items requiring my attention; I open it, and there is no indication anywhere what the badge was referring to. This isn't incidental functionality, this is basic. I'd add at least one more star if this worked. Edit: the use of the word "story" to describe a feature is offensive, suggestive of milk and cookies and nappy time. QUIT IT.

No Push Notification for anything!. So I love asana and it’s UI but the fact there’s no push notification makes me want to ditch it. You have to see notifications when you open the app and click on the notification page otherwise you wouldn’t know if there’s a task that was assigned to you. I had to constantly check the app to make sure I was up to date if there’s a new task that was assigned to me. And yes, my notification setting is on for asana on my phone but still nothing. No notification was sent to me nor my teammates whatsoever.

Give us more control. I love Asana but the mobile app needs a lot of work. The thing I love about the web/desktop app is the ability to customize how I use Asana. The mobile app is far too prescriptive due to its design. The same is true about the widgets. Specifically, I want to have my left hand sidebar on my mobile app without 11 taps. Just let me have Starred as a menu option. I don’t use My Tasks so why am I stuck with it as a menu item? Again, Inbox, if I rarely use that, why is it my only option at the bottom of the screen? Why can I only see Today, in my iOS widget instead of a selected project or search? I just don’t get why an app that thrives on having so many ways of using it, would make a mobile app so limited.

Full screen mode. The app itself is great, but it’s missing a critics, feature that makes it very hard to use. There’s no way to full screen a task. On the desktop you can press “tab + x”. But no way of doing it on the iPad. Which is a shame, I’d love to use the iPad to read the tasks, specially the big ones, but currently it’s a really bad experience. The app is good to have a quick glance on your tasks, but missing a critical feature for actually consuming the content.

Fine but not great. App is fine, but their task management system lacks some things you will find yourself wanting if you have a large team or complex project structure. Tasks are not very visual or modular in the way you can organize them. Probably with a really dedicated project management team you could make the best of what is otherwise a somewhat confusing experience. Edited to 3 stars from 1 originally, I had a frustrating billing issue the company was able to resolve after a lot of back and forth.

Please hide completed tasks!. I enjoy this app very much and find is so useful for keeping track of my personal and work to-do lists, however I think it’s so annoying that when I complete a task it isn’t hidden and I don’t have an option to hide it. I don’t want to scroll through 400 completed tasks to have to find the 5 I still need to do! Please add this feature!

Complete fraud. The free trial is impossible to cancel! After having to look up online how to cancel and trying it I was not able to cancel for some other bs reason. I tried to call the company but there is no phone number listed. You cannot speak to a human being if you have a problem. In their help section there is no details on how to cancel your free trial. This service is about as dishonest as I have ever seen. As I was trying to cancel for over 2 hours I was hit with a $119 charge to my account. Again, there is no way to speak to a representative. All you get is an email to contact. I will be contacting the BBB about these corrupt practices

Unintuitive. Something as simple as deleting a project is a pain to figure out. Should be able to long press > delete. Instead you have to go into the project > go to list > go to about (seriously?) > press the 3 dot > hit delete. Even googling didn’t have the right instructions. Completely unnecessary, unintuitive, process for something so basic. There are other user experience infractions like this too. Other wise app really has potential if they manage to improve navigation.

Great but needs work. I love the ability to make both boards and lists (very important to me). However, there needs to be the ability to switch back and forth between board and list view. Right now I have to create a second project with all the same tasks in both projects in order to use a Kanban system and see all of the tasks in list form under their respective sections (which is a hassle). There also seems to be a bug for the task list. Tasks are being listed in “My Tasks” under a section that they aren’t even a part of! I can’t seem to get it to fix.

App flawed. Asana has a nice product but is not app friendly. Best to use desktop version. The app shows an annoying bubble count of tasks to be completed with no way to update in app. Can’t figure out what the h!LL this counter is for. Makes me think there’s something I am not following up on. Going to desktop our cohort task list is managed well and up to date. Am about to delete the app as absolutely useless. Worse the useless bc it wastes my time.

Great tool!. Free version has its own minuses, while sufficient for a small team. Because of those minuses I have encountered an issue that someone by mistake removed me from my own “organization/workspace”. Contacted Asana multiple times, understanding it’s a free account, maybe minimal support, if any. Eventually someone was able to focus enough on my issue and eventually resolve it, even though it took 1.5 months me to get connected back to my “organization/workspace”. Bottom line: 1. Excellent company and sufficient customer service even for a free version. If NASA using it, you can too. 2. Be careful who you let into your free version “company/workspace” 3. Get a paid version for more functionality, security and faster customer service.

Beautiful, effective, convenient. I love Asana! When I’m away from my computer and think of a random thing I forgot to do or need to to for work tomorrow I can easily jot it down in the form of a task for myself instead of a random note on my phone that I would forget about or a cumbersome cal event/email. Also - obsessed with the fact you can take a photo of handwritten notes and it will convert to text!

Ten stars for narwhals, -7 for a fatal flaw. Your widget is highly limited in that it will only show items assigned to today, not past-due items. So, when my schedule starts to slip, the only way to maintain that onscreen encouragement is to massage my schedule to make sure everything is set as due today. When I’m busy, I don’t have time for that, which makes your widgets unhelpful. Please fix so I can go back to loving you.

Good service, bad app. This app is next to useless when you realize everything that’s missing compared to the web app. It might be good for entry level employees, but it’s worthless for managers. The whole Home Screen is missing, as well as many of the features for managing teams and projects. I don’t know how long this app has been out, but it feels like barely an alpha. I really wanted this to work because the web app doesn’t work well on my iPad (I can’t set dates or assignments on sub tasks on iPadOS Safari). Remembered why I didn’t have this app installed and deleted it again.

The greatest great. I use it for my “one man show” business, so not really for collaboration… I do see the benefits for that scenario. I love this app so much that I don’t know how I would organize myself without it. I’ve tried many apps and analog solutions like Trello, todoist,Evernote (maybe not the same category). By far the best of the bunch for my situation and I can link all kinds of stuff from my Google suite of products.

Life Saver. Asana is an essential part of my business! Before Asana all of my due dates and tasks were in spreadsheets and floating around in my head stressing me out. Now I don’t worry about due dates and tasks because they are all stored in Asana. I also work more efficiently with Asana because I don’t waist time thinking about what I’m going to do. Get this app!! 😊

Asana is amazing but this app is eh at best. First, Asana as a web product is well done and maximizes the web GUI extremely efficiently. The iOS app does not live up to this, as there are higher and different expectations as it relates to GUI and responsiveness. It looks like the iOS UI team just tried to port that great web GUI to native iOS which is a fair approach, but that’s not is what best of users as users are telling you in the reviews. Let us choose. Keep the GUI you have now and add “alternate mode” button where the GUI becomes like the Memento app. You can experiment with this view maybe or have many options of ways to view content (tasks). Right now you have that with the timeline/cards/tasks for web platform - now do the same with iOS. Boom 💥 You’re welcome. PS make timeline free on web for orgs less than 2 or 3 plz

OK…should be much better. I love Asana and have been a power user for years. However, the iPad app version is OK…basically marginally more effective than a fax machine!! 2/3’s of the screen is fixed/reserved for the task list, etc…while 1/3 is for the actual tasks where most of the work happens. It was be AMAZING if we could expand the task screen but for some reason you can’t. At least not that I’m aware of. More often than not I find it more effective to use the phone app vs. the iPad app. Hope Asana has better plans ahead for this app.

I like it, but clients do not.. I like Asana especially when it comes to organizing tasks for brand design projects. However, my clients do not like Asana. They have mention that it is too frustrating when communicating on Asana. They suggest something easier to communicate their feedback on logo presentations. I got Asana to make it easier and have my process all organized and lined out for them to see what’s next on Asana. They can see what’s due and when. Which I love! I just wish some how the communication wasn’t a problem for my clients. They find it difficult to write their thoughts using Asana.

Great app but could be better.. I’ve been using this for quite a while now. It’s great for keeping your projects balanced and progressing. My problem is there is no way that I can tell to create new teams on the app, so you are forced to get on your computer and use the desktop version. This is a cumbersome procedure and does not seem to align with the company’s goals. It’s supposed to help keep your tasks moving, not bogged them down. Great concept overall, but it needs an update.

It’s ok. I think it’s helpful for my work. I can just have all my tasks on here and check them off. I can also write notes on each task. The only thing I really didn’t like is that it says you can add friends or your company, but you can’t actually add them on. Also it says you can people from your contacts...But it only shows you 3 people you can add from contacts. And you should be able to chose from all your contacts. Over all not bad, I use it for work. But I wouldn’t use it if your gonna have more then just you.

Priority. I’d like to only view my highest priorities but this is difficult between the desktop and app experience. I don’t want to look through 100+ tasks to figure out what I should be working on. In the app, I can search for tags - if I’ve tagged High Priority tasks I’m able to see them all in one list. However, when I create a task in the app, I can’t assign a tag, only a Priority. I can’t see a list of high priority tasks in the app, only a list of high priority tags!! Super frustrating.

Finally! A system my mom can use.. I’d been searching for a project management system for a really long time. My ultimate test had always been tied to “adoption” and our continued failure to achieve sustainable adoption. Im also a big fan of a Gantt chart. Well I’ve seen this system fully adopted three times. My modified test became “can my mom use it?” Asana met that challenge too. I was able to talk her through it on the phone. I may have gotten a few too many alerts all at once, but she got the hang of it!

Missing Narwhal. I’ve used Asana for some time because it’s the most comprehensive task/project organization app I’ve found, very beneficial to my work and saves my sanity memory-wise. Just a quick note to say that I miss Narwhal terribly. Unicorn is sweet, but Narwhal is my favorite. Any chance he can be brought back into rotation or randomized? He made me smile every time.

There’s something so delightful and easy about a repeat. Like—have we watched the “can I pet that dawg” video approximately 5 billion times? Perhaps. But will we drop everything and watch it in full anytime it’s reposted? Without hesitation. And while recurring Asana tasks typically lack the charming drawl of the aforementioned aspirational dawg-petter, it’s now easier than ever to set them up to repeat. You can quick-select options and get more specific with when exactly tasks repeat. And speaking of delightful viewing experiences: our modals are now all full-screen, so you can see more options at once and select them with ease.
