Favorite Tower Defense game. Kingdom Rush games are the best TD games imo. Game balance is perfect, the game can be beaten with the heroes included and the iron & heroic challenges can test your skills. The more I've played other TD games the more I appreciate the KR series. The price for the game is a great deal, especially since they continue to add more levels. The additional heroes get pricey, but they aren't necessary to win, just add the ability to use different attack strats. I like beating the game straight up, so I never buy stuff from the shop with gems, that could get pricey as well if someone over uses shop items

Practically Perfect in Every Way. This game is the best TD game I have played in my life, and the variety of enemies and maps added to the simplicity of the towers makes the game easy to master, but not to win. The only complaint is that you will never enjoy another TD game as much after playing this.

Best TD game of the 2000’s. This may sound like a stretch, but hear me out. This game has it ALL. Good graphics, good animations, good dialogue it’s great. It has its own unique upgrades, and very level is unique in its own way. You can see that this game had a lot of effort put into it. I remember playing for the first time 9 years ago when I was 13 and now as a 22 year old, I still enjoy this game. I play all types of games, strategy, sandbox, .io, battle royal, across all different platforms. Coming into this game, I was never a fan of TD games, but this game was different. since then, TD games have been my favorite genre of video games and this is easily my favorite game as it has been for 9 years, and I finally decided to write a review. Great game, never gets old. I would be willing to pay 100 usd. Amazing!

Amazing one thing. This game is good no amazing the art style the enemies it is not pay to win but some levels require you to buy abilities with gems which you get those for levels other than that it is so great and iron hide if you are reading this please tell me if you have other games like this I wish there were more games like this

Tower Defense Masterpiece. This is one the of the best tower defense games of all time. Not many other TD games have had such an huge impact on the genre than Kingdom Rush. I’ve played KR for countless hours and will continue to. I highly highly recommend this game to anyone who likes TD games or wants to get into them.

Avoid Newest Update. 5 star game just turned into a 1 star game with 10 year anniversary update. Did they not ever hear the saying “If it isn’t broke don’t fix it”? They changed the sound, the way it fits on my iPad, the way orange magic tower infects targets, etc….Went over to Frontiers and Origins and verified that they changed them as well. Not the same games anymore. All three will be deleted from iPad, not as fun anymore.

Great game, extremely fun, creative and addictive right from the start.. Amazing tower defense game. Cool towers, creative enemies and really fun levels that are always entertaining to replay. It is easy to see that Ironhide really cares about making their games a fun experience, everything they put out is geat!

Finally.... Finally a game that has upgrades, explosions, and proper grammar! I’ve been searching for so long, and I found the perfect game... Kingdom Rush, you are a hoot. From the graphics to the sound effects, you are the game for me! Reader, you must download this game! It will change your life!

Amazing yet challenging. This game is really fun but once you get into the higher levels it gets a little bit tougher. This game is fun on the go or at home. You can play it with your friends and try to challenge each other to see who ca get the most stars or finish faster. Plz download this game, because I think most will have a lot of fun.

Used to be perfect but. Recent updates make it so hard to tap the towers and boss. For example, in ‘the dark tower’ and ‘stormcloud temple’, no matter how hard and fast you tap on the ‘locked’ towers, they still get locked. It used to be so much easier for the game to recognize the taps and activate the locked towers. Now it’s just frustrating to play these levels.

Please look into this!. I’ve been playing this specific game for over ten years. I LOVE it! This is a great game that I can always come back to. seriously I cannot explain how much I love this game. HOWEVER, I’m unsure when the new update that changed the archers new targeting was, but at the time I LOVED it! It was always frustrating when the poison on the rangers would only get one person, but then they fixed it. I was playing a level today and realized that the poison distribution gets in the way of killing the enemies closest to the end of the map. While trying to hit all of the targets with the poison it let a few enemies slip through with out getting directly hit. THE TOWER COULD HAVE EASILY KILLED THE ENEMY, but because it already had poison on it, it forgot about it. Please, I’m not sure how, but find a way to balance the poison targeting and normal tower targeting.

The start of it all…. What can I say? Kingdom Rush is the series that changed the Tower Defense genre forever. I want to thank Ironhide for the memories of playing all of the Kingdom Rush games since 2012.

Money Wanted. You can get through the main campaign really easy, but you need “Gems” to buy items that help you during levels. These items aren’t really needed that much during the campaign, but once you complete the campaign, new levels unlock, and they are unwinable without the items. Also, the extra difficulty levels to the campaign are the same way. The game hooks you in with an easy campaign, but then hammers you with unwinable extras. I’ve tried multiple combinations of towers, and the only thing that helps is items. I loved this game at first, but now I hate it. I’m not buying crap that runs out every level.

Newest update is awful. I’ve been playing this app for years, since it first came out. The recent update makes the screen move all around on my iPad while I’m playing it. It cuts off the top and bottom of the board. When I’m trying to place troops, it shifts the board instead and I die. It’s unplayable now.

Amazing game!. Overall this game is just awesome. The difficulty level is perfect, and nothing is unfair. To all people that left a 1 star review because they were unhappy with the cost of hero’s, difficulty, etc: This game is meant to be a little bit difficult and requires a lot of strategy. Like countering the proper unit with the proper tower, placing barracks in good locations, etc. Now I personally agree the the hero’s are a bit expensive, but then again, you don’t NEED them to win. And if you ever feel it is to hard, change it to casual. I flew through the whole game on casual with any problems.

Weak hero’s. Update: origins and frontiers are light years better Update : buggy but getting better their other games are better They want too much money for their superheroes and gems , I'm through spending on this game . ( Actually not a bad game but too expensive)

Awesome Game. These guys know how to make an awesome tower defense game. It’s extremely challenging in the higher levels, but it is doable! No reason to spend any money on this game, although you may want to just to show your support. The game is filled with Easter Egg type humor.

Dis game be amazing 🤩. I’m not going to lie, this is the best td game I have ever played, one of my favorite things about it is the insane amount of customization available and the availability of having whatever strategy I want! This game is soooo amazing

One of the best mobile games now.. It’s hard to find a mobile game that is so fleshed out with content. Although it is pretty funny that the mage tower sound effects are just stolen straight from terraria.

Really good game. It surprised me a bit, its really easy the first 2 levels but then all of a sudden it gets really challenging. I love this game. It's a good way to pass the time and really fun. I highly recommend it.

Fun, but needs improvement. I wish you could keep upgrading your equipment. About halfway through the game board, you have upgraded all of your equipment with stars. The rest of the stars are useless.

Love this game! And series. This is the best tower defense game I have ever played. Cool, simple graphics, funny one liners “hail to the king, baby”, fun game play. Hours of fun! I wish there were more games like this. If you know of others please let me know.

Do not underestimate this TD legendary.. I can tell you straight-up that I did not spend a single penny on this game. The awesomeness of this game is to-the-sky and frankly funstoppable. The achievements are punny,(beat a yeti boss... sas-squashed, anybody?)and in the final stage you are bad joke-insulted by naz’gul. And to that reviewer saying that it is “too short” once you clear the Main Quest lots of other quests pop up. These vary in difficulty, with one having a routine quest and another having a GIANT SPIDER AAAAAAAA Aaaand you can increase difficulty on a level when U clear it.

More levels needed!!. Me and my family love this game! It's a fun game for everyone to play. But seriously, get yourself together. We have been playing for hours in total to finish all of the levels in the time span of about 6 months. Our family and I would like there to be a upgrade on the game soon so we can enjoy more hard and complex levels of Kingdom Rush. Overall the game is great, I would definitely recommend it. Pls fix this bug. I’m playing the game and I won a match but when I was at the score my device got me out so I log back in and put my age but my progress wasn’t their anymore so I try going back in and out and then it still dosen’t work pls fix this bug☹️

The game works fine but... The game works fun but when I updated it it deleted one of my characters, ignus to be specific. I don’t know if you can do anything about it, but if you could that would be greatly appreciated.

Fun if you don’t mind ads. This game is a lot of fun if you don’t mind ads, pay real money, play lower levels for days, or any combination thereof. If you go into battle with 5 Fat Boys and 5 Bags of Gold, you can kill anything! But a Fat Boy takes 10 ads to acquire, so that’s 50 ads just for the Fat Boys. I’m retired so have ALL DAY to watch ads. I usually watch ads for a few hours then play one battle.

This game is the best. I would play this game for hours, it was he best. The Tesla was my favorite unit. It was a beast game, and even when I completed it I went back and played all the levels over again. I have completed all three of them, so you should really create a new one, given that these are the best tower defense games EVER.

Best app ever. I love this app it doesn’t need WiFi so I can play it on the plane. And it’s really addicting especially if you like to win I have completed this game so many times and I’m still not bored with it so I recommend this to everyone on the face of this planet and I hope more people get it

Amazing, but too easy... So I downloaded this game yesterday as it took me an hour to, and I can say this game is the best Tower Defense game I've played. And that's saying something. But, the reason I gave it 4 star instead of five is because it's just too quick. I completed it in a day. It's actually not that easy, but there's such little in this game that you could complete it in an hour on the easiest setting. I completed this game in a bit over an hour after the intense final boss fight. Conclusion: Good game, if you have storage I suggest to download it, just note that this isn't Clash of Clans or something and it doesn't hold everything you dreamed. Great game though, if you're a big fan I suggest buying the other pay for versions.

My thoughts. First off, the game is good! I like the tower selection (various choices). Secondly, I was disappointed to learn how short the game is! Perhaps another page or two would have been plenty. Overall, it’s a good game! Just wish there was more! Thanks for the game! P.S. if I could choose my own location to build a tower instead of chosen locations, I think that could be awesome!

Awesome TD. Normally, I find TD games monotonous and boring, but there is so much variety with this one, it kept me entertained and interested all the way through all the levels. Great graphics and fast gameplay make this game a hit!

Fun game but that quickly ends. I was really enjoying this game. Like many you fight your way along the map, you gain powers, abilities and heroes. And then suddenly you find there is only 1 map. I finished it in 1 day. But then you look and you X out of 130 stars. There is no way to get more stars. If you start a new game slot that is just a whole new game the stars don’t add to the first. You can change to a higher difficulty but that doesn’t earn you stars. And only stars allow you to purchase upgrades. The only thing left is achievements that don’t give stars and gems that give you special weapons that you still cannot use on the lower levels. If there is a way to get more stars I haven’t found it.

Superb mobile game.. I review very few ftp games or games priced at under 5 dollars because most are shallow rubbish, this however is a diamond of a game. For the tiny price, it has more depth, innovation, longevity, and high quality art than most 50 dollar ‘triple A’ console and pc games. I’ve owned the game for years and you should too if you have a mobile device for gaming.

Frustrating. At first, this is a fun td game. However, it turns into something that would be easier to play if you buy items for the game. No thanks. The final levels caused me to remove the game. The enemy casts a spell on your towers that requires you to tap repeatedly on the affected towers or they are disabled for a while. Who thinks this is fun? It is just annoying and aggravating. I do like the different heroes you can get , but the in app purchase model ruins it for me. I’d rather pay a set price and earn by playing, not a bunch of small purchases.

The perfect game. There are many achievements in the Kingdom Defense game, and there are also many interesting Easter eggs. The game's painting style is also very good, and the design is also good, but I hope the iron can update the frontline and the original content.

Kingdom Rush is by far the best series for tower def fans. I cannot believe anyone would rate this or any of the series anything less 5 stars. This is the Perfect game for new fans to learn about proper strategy. Bottomless replay value. Every level is beatable without using gems or having to buy anything. I would pay top dollar if they came out with a new one or some new levels..

Fun and free!. I've been playing for awhile now. Just when I need a break. I repeat some of the higher levels to earn ice to make purchases in the store and have over 6000 currency with store purchased items already in my inventory. I appreciate that I don't have to purchase anything, although I've been toying with the idea of making a $3 for a hero. $3 isn't much to support a game I play semi regularly. :)

Would Be Great If it Weren’t Extortionware. Typical pay-to-play game designed to try to frustrate users into paying to advance. It’s too bad, because the game is actually fun to a point. Then you begin hitting levels that are clearly designed to be impossible without spending endless hours getting points. “But hey, we’ll sell you these points.” You know the drill. It is fun enough that I finished all but a few ‘Heroic’ and ‘Iron’ without paying, but this crappy fun destroying business model shouldn’t be rewarded with a single star.

The best mobile game. Period.. The title says it all. I've been playing this game since before it made its way to mobile. Hundreds (maybe thousands) of other games have come and gone from my various devices, but Kingdom Rush and its sequels have stood the test of time.

So frustrating. Okay at the level where you beat vezan the final boss well I can’t beat him because the towers always focus on the minions it is so frustrating I have bought five heroes so I am a valued costumer I also have bought a 7 dollar hero on iron mariners so this had better be fixed because I have spent over 20 dollars on your games

I hate vez’nan, everything else is good. Vez nan is the worst enemy ever. He makes shields, summons enemies and turns into a dragon. When I killed the first vez’nan he turned into dragon!!! I killed the regular version of vez’nan right at the end when he was passing through the losing way. I was so excited about killing him, but turning into a dragon killed me so much. Onestly I hate vez’nan. The rest of the game I love very much except for vez’nan.

Mega bundle please. Please make the mega bundle available in store for KRO, KR and KRF. And please give me the mega bundle in KR, I have played for months and not a single offer, not even single hero discount :( I don’t mind spending money, I really want to collect all heroes thanks! So far I only need KR heroes to be complete thanks!

The best tower defense game. This was a gem to find when it came out, and since then there have been several other follow-on titles. However, the original still is my favorite. I’ve 3 starred every level on every difficulty level and have achieved all badges, yet i still come back and play endless wave mode frequently... still trying to to get to level 60. Absolutely love this game. An all time classic for certain!

Excellent Strategy Game!. Kingdom Rush is a wonderful, thoughtful game that is both exciting and relaxing at the same time. I love the updates and the ability to play levels over and over again with different outcomes.

Fun up to a point, then the grinding starts. You can do most of the main missions without having to go to the store for bombs or what not, but after that you pretty much have to... and you are going to need to buy way more from the store than you get in “gems” during the regular game play... so after that you are either going to have to grind away for gems (no thank you) or fork out real dollars to buy more gems (again, no thank you)... so, since the main missions are about 60% of the game, and they are quite fun, I’m only giving 60% of the stars

Amazing. Truly the epitome of amazing tds, kingdom rush does everything right. With beautiful graphics, fun Easter eggs, and affordable DLC, this game is great for people just wanting casual gameplay or dedicated strategists alike. The graphics are truly amazing, designed in a such a fun way that it never gets boring to look at. The enemy design is phenomenal and the level design just the same. Personally. Kingdom rush is an incredible game that never gets boring, even after the 6-7 years I’ve played it

Sneakily brilliant. Sure, at first it is like all other tower defence games, but then you get the upgrade system that makes sense. The ability to buy your win is there, not too badly priced. Gameplay is colourful, you do need to use strategy. Overall a really good game, that will keep you entertained.

Really good, but.... I love this game, it has a lot of content and is very beautiful but it needs to spice things up every once in a while so something will surprise like, playing as the orcs and each level sees it becoming harder. Just so you know I mean this as after campaign stuff not actually in the campaign.

TESLA OP. Absolutely awesome TD game, love the graphics and sound effects but teslas are way too OP which makes spamming them one of the most viable strategies which kinda hurts the strategy aspect of the game. PLEASE NERF TESLA DEVS Totally worth it though, best TD game ever.

Great tower defense. This is one of the best tower defenses ever although it needs more maps like one with a huge lake with a pathway around the edge and floating islands to put yours towers on and also make water monsters like submarine goblin or zombie shark. Maybe a flying enemy that when near death it dives into the water and jumps out sometimes. Also make a spell that makes a huge snowstorm that hurts and freezes enemy's on a certain part of the field. Make the final upgrade for it rain five snowballs on top of enemies anywhere on the board which damages and freezes them. Great game and please don't stop the updates!

And you thought crack was addictive. This game will make you think, planning how to use limited resources to fend off the hoards of bad guys. It moves fast, with lots happen on the screen at once - bad guys with varying capabilities coming in from different directions and a range of defences at your disposal. You have to act quick to stay a step ahead. When you bomb out (and you will) you'll want to jump back in and try another approach straight away. I've been playing for months and can't wait for more levels!

Great game, let down by stability issues. Fantastic game, very addictive and I haven't been able to put it down for a few weeks now. However, the lack of autosave while in the middle of a level, and occasional crashes (on iPad 1) at the most inconvenient times make it extremely frustrating when you lose your progress, especially when you think you've got the right combination and sequence of towers and have made it to the final wave, and boom, you're back to the iOS Home screen. 😡

Off it's head.. This game is crazy fun, some would say addictive. My mates and I can't stop playing, basically flawless with great variety. Would appreciate a few more updates, don't mind if I have to pay but would like some more content such as new towers, choices of upgrades for the last stage rather than just straight lines of upgrades for more variety, more special abilities other than reinforcements and meteor strikes. no complaints though, keep up the good work.

Awesome game. I downloaded this game to check out what could be built with Cocos2d only to find myself totally addicted. This game is very well built and awesome fun to play. I would recommend it to anyone who likes tower defense games. I would even go so far as to say this is the BEST tower defense on iPad! To the developers - awesome job on the new update. Love the new heroes, great idea. I don't agree with in app purchases. Would be happy with a slightly higher price with everything included. Just my opinion. Thanks for a great game!

Cool game but.... Some suggestions: - Give the player one star for completing a level in casual, two for normal and three for veteran (I just did the levels in casual to upgrade everything because it was easier to get three stars) - Make the heroes available to buy with gems! Considering they're just an animation on the screen, there's no way I would ever consider paying a whopping $7 for one! 99c I understand (you have to make a profit somehow). But not $7. - Sometimes the tapping to unfreeze towers etc gets a bit annoying. Once or twice over a few levels is good, but too much is old... - The endless mode is so hard, even if you decide to give up on normal and try casual instead (me). Idk about you but if you say its casual, actually make it casual, not just less health for the enemy minions/creatures/whatever. But great game anyways :)

Speed Button. I absolutely loved playing this when I was younger and I’ve only just downloaded it again. I think the graphics are outstanding, Its simple but detailed at the same time! I love how you can interact with the sheep on the paddocks too! One thing I would do to make the game better is add a speed up button, That way if your in a rush or something is taking a lot of time to kill (Like an Ogre) you can speed it up. It can get a little boring having wait and watch the same thing happen over and over again ( Eg. similar waves repeating). This is an amazing game and I definitely think it worth your time to down load it!

Brilliant game!. I have never come across a tower defense game I have liked so much. Using the stars you get from each level to buy upgrades is great, the difficulty level is excellent (even easy isn't always a breeze; I hate when games are too easy), the animation is very endearing and the little battle cries are adorable. All in all, well worth the money. It's a shame I've finished it (two or three times), I wish there was a sequel. The latest update had an extra level though, which was appreciated!

Crash and frustration. I played level 12. I knew that i could not defeat the last big guy, which is veznan. At that time i had 17 lives remaining. So i used the heart in the box that gave me extra 5 lives (22 lives in total). Later on he came closer and closer and i could not defeat him. So i lost 20 lives and i was supposed to have 2 lives. Unfortunately the game crashed on me. Nothing i could do abt it. So i had to play it over again. It was so frustrating but in general, this game is really fun.

Greedy devs. Same game as the other version except with the ‘HD’ gimmick thrown into the title. Still have to pay additional money to unlock the other heroes. Pathetic. Pay full price for a game locked behind a paid wall.

Very worth the money. I took a gamble buying this game right off the bat, I didn't read reviews but looked at the screenshots and loved the art style. I am a fan of tower defense and immediately took a liking to the UI and constant unlocks as well as tower variation. The hidden elements of the game are a very welcome addition. I recommend this game highly as their are replay values found in the extra game modes and repeating previous missions to unlock all objectives!

You have to try it!. Initially finding this game when I was a child and it was first released years and years ago on the web I loved playing it. The strategy, the look, and the iconic main theme! Still to this day I love playing it just as much even if I have completed all the levels, it’s still fun to play them and even test yourself, using only certain towers or abilities.

Well balanced game. I played through this game in about two months of casual gameplay and I have to say I enjoyed it immensely. The star upgrade system, although well used is nonetheless effective, and towards the end the game relies on the players skill instead of upgrades. Loved it.

I love it and hate it at the same time. Well it’s really because of the second phase of the boss please make it a tiny little bit easier or just not as many enemies again a little bit easier, because I wasn’t expecting a second phase.

All the one star reviews are stupid.. I already said why this game is amazing. All the 1 star reviews complain that this game is impossible to win without paying money you know what I say to that. You are just bad I beat the who game on veteran just because it takes. More than one try to beat a level doesn’t mean it is pay to win! Also one review says this is a mobile game it shouldn’t be so hard what the hell? This game is a challenge ya that’s good and since when are mobile games supposed to be so easy? This 5 year old just sucks at the game.

Best mobile game ever!. I was playing this for like two months and yeah, it’s the best mobile game and tower defense I ever played! The game has ZERO adds and is no pay2win like every other mobile games. I think I will buy the PC version soon to get all of this but even better!

Warning: Not the same as original pc version. I went back and compared this to my old version, with all stats and talents the same. This mobile version has been rebalanced to purposely frustrate the player and make it extremely difficult to get 2 stars once you get past the training areas. Yes, it is doable as a free player if you have a lot of time invested for grinding stars for all talents. Kingdom rush mobile has been purposely balanced around making the player either wipe over and over in a grind of trial and error, or use consumables which they very handily sell for some real money, or to look at all those heroes locked behind cash and say hey, maybe those guys would help me out more with this.

Amazing!. This game is really fun and I enjoy it! The only thing is that the enemies can be slightly nerfed because I get stuck on the levels for months sometimes but otherwise, very nice game. I have an idea too, maybe players can test heroes in a custom place that will not make them go levels higher, players there can basically just tests what the heroes do and look like so we do not have to pay and we end up not liking the hero.

Amazing for learning tactics. I started playing this a few years ago, and taught my daughter to play it because she asked. Now it’s a few years later, and she’s beat all the levels up to the extras after you defeat the demon lord. She had stopped playing for a long time, but she decided to one off and attempt a couple campaigns that she had had trouble with before. She managed to complete them both in one try, and she said that she was happy she had finally done them. All in all, very good game, and I would recommend it.

Gems and Reselling the game. Balancing the game around the gems makes this once amazing gold standard for TD utter pay to progress trash. I bought all the heroes on the original version to support such an amazing game… suddenly there is an HD release.. for upgraded visuals on iPad? It’s just a resolution change something that naturally should happen when running an app on different devices.

AIP scam. Remember the days where we can buy s game and enjoy finely crafted gameplay and challenges? Those days are over. Like pretty much every other DTD game on mobile this one is designed to be beyond impossible (in the later levels) unless you drop a few bucks per level on AIP. It can cost hundreds of dollars to complete without utter frustration. Let's all stop supporting this dishonest model. F em.

Frustrating to watch ads and not get rewards. In order to complete some levels, you need assistance. When I watch a 45 second ad and don’t get compensated for my time, I get frustrated. This happens a lot on your app.

Fun, but needs improvement. I wish you could keep upgrading your equipment. About halfway through the game board, you have upgraded all of your equipment with stars. The rest of the stars are useless.

Does not open. I've enjoyed this app for years. Latest version does not open on my iPad Air. Update: version 3.1.2 resolves the problem. App opens and works as great as always.

Limited levels. Why aren’t there more levels to play for this game? Oh because this game is free and all the others cost money. What a good marketing strategy. I do love there aren’t ads.

Money or Grind. On casual once you get to later levels , you need to have toshop for upgrades by grinding or paying cash. All the Kingdom Rush games are this way. Fun gameplay, but just overwhelming with too many attackers to keep up with.
