Totally Undependable. The worst app on my phone. Never know if it will open. Have to delete it and reload continually...at least once every two weeks; sometimes every other day; occasionally multiple times in one day. This is the only app out of 100+ that has this problem so I know it’s not my phone. Add this to the live broadcast problems with Wane TV and the conclusion is simple. They have one of the best broadcast teams, but are stuck with a very mediocre tech department.

It would be great if it would quit crashing all the time!. I really like this app, except for the fact that it has started crashing all the time!

Review. Don’t like sound automatically starting, would rather just read the news and click on it for the comments if I want to hear them.

Freezes up. App has a tendency to freeze up once in awhile

Not worth it. Sure they have all the latest news and all, but this app keeps freezing. When I scroll from Crime to World News it doesn’t always respond. Sometimes I am halfway through an article and it literally just goes blank. I love watching this station on tv, but clearly they don’t care about this app. It’s the only app on my phone that I’ve had problems with to this extent.

New App Update 👎🏻. The new update (August 2021) is not good. When a news story is clicked on, the article scrolls in a choppy manner, making it difficult to read. It’s very annoying. It did not do that before the update.

Bring In Some High School Kids to Edit!. Clearly, the local stories have not been proofread before publication. The writing is childish and hard to understand sometimes. And the bias ... yikes! The headlines are slanted and the stories are often not fair. The Pyramid Style of writing (Who, What, Where, When, etc.) was, apparently, not taught to WANE reporters.

Disappointed. This used to be the only channel I watched and listened to. However , in the current t political and societal issues over the last year - WANE 15 has easily made it evident they are swayed to one side. Professional journalism should reveal news and be completely UNBIASED. When it is clear to even a child that a newscast is representative of a certain political view - is racially charging situations within a community by their method of reporting and helping create divisive mentality within a town they should be uniting - they are worse off than the politicians they criticize or the criminals they highlight. Stop mentioning color only when it’s white on black and start referring to people as people. You don’t report stories saying a black man did this to a white man or another black man - but you most certainly do say color when it’s a white man. Stop referring to our President of the United States as if he is a fool and invalid ...... stop showing such unity to the left. Stop allowing a drive for popularity to motivate your journalism - be real , not biased. Be truthful - not editors making stories that speak to hearts of the misled and misinformed. Neutral - be neutral !!!! And maybe - just maybe people will begin trusting the media again.

Review of WANE 15. Your coverage is very apparently liberal, left and progressive. I only look at your local stories and read those with an understanding of your bias! At the moment, the weather and sports seem ok! It is sad true journalism is dead by suicide.

Stop freezing!!!. I love the WANE app WHEN IT WORKS!!! I’ll try to click on a notification and it freezes instantly, I try to shut down the app and go straight through the app it freezes. I can’t look at anything, and it drives me insane. Please fix it

Hate the video. I like this app and would give it a higher mark but I hate how when you tap on a article to read and the video automatically starts playing... so irritating. I want to read the article not watch the video, if I want to watch the video I want the option of hitting play, not having it start playing automatically.

Updates. Your app would be pretty decent if you updated MUCH MORE FREQUENTLY!! Sometimes on the weekends, it is over 24 hours behind. Also, how about updating when there is “breaking news”.

Swipe up annoying. I love staying tune to all things Fort Wayne but the swipe up ad every time I log on is extremely annoying. Coverage on wrecks in the news feed is equally disturbing. Is there nothing else to post about?

Lots of video issues lately. Love watching this app for weather forecasts but in the last 2-3 months, the videos have been playing zoomed in. There is no way the user can fix this so you end us seeing less than half of the screen and they have become useless. Please fix this and then it will go back to 5 stars.

App needs improvement. TV news is wonderful, however the old mobile app was so much better than the new one, The layout was better and it was easier to navigate. It was also more visually appealing. However I have noticed some changes to the new app that are headed in the right direction.

President. I don’t see much written about accomplishments of PresidentTrump. This point In my life I am making more money. Going into retirement very financially stable. All my children are working and have a good future. Under President Obama there was no future. We are much better off today. Stop printing The negative narrative. “Be Positive” in your reporting!

News Team Rock!. I am amazed at the incredible team that is a part of Wane TV. I find them to be personable, humorous, and serious when speaking to the heart when appropriate. True professionals. I love the diversity on the team as well.

New format. The previous format had you swiping left or right to move to the next story. Now I have to wait longer between stories when scrolling downward and have to skip over “suggested stories” that I might have already read.

Weather. When it comes to reporting the weather I notice that they avoid reporting for Huntington. Makes me mad.

What does Trump have to do with Wane?. I understand that you’re in love with a Cheeto, but leave your political views to social media, not on a review of a news app. It’s not appropriate and quite frankly it’s totally Kindergarten. As far as the app, I would love to give it five stars, but it glitches out too often and who ever has the responsibility for proofreading what gets posted does a horrible job and the misspelling or grammatical errors make you appear very unprofessional. Other than that, I appreciate the local view of events around us, and feel that political bias is not a subject matter that I would pin on WANE.

Playing ads. Super buggy, ads play automatically when open a story. Good info after these issues. Would not recommend.

More variety in sports department.. You would think all we had were football teams in Fort Wayne. Cover the others sports equally.

Was my number one station. Video playing annoying. Whenever you click on any news to read then video starts playing as default. That is very annoying.

Ads open with only the slightest touch. The app itself isn’t bad, but if you even so much as touch their sponsored ads, the ad opens in your default browser immediately. May not be a problem for some, but it drives me batsh1t crazy. Won’t be long before I delete it permanently.

Love. I get to know what’s happening in area where my relatives reside. But would like more news from Peru Indiana also

Ehh ok app. Sketchy layout and hit with ads first thing. Could be better if they put in some Siri suggestions to access certain parts quick. Don’t think I’d recommend.

The stability of this app is not good. I tried to open it this morning and all you see is the splash screen with the line “coverage you can count on”. Apparently the the app you can’t count on working. Disappointing

Weather. I would like more details on the weather for example the rain percentage possibilities for every day. Frost and freeze warnings

Advertisements at full volume ruin the app. Ads that launch at full volume even when phone is in silent mode ruin the app for me. I no longer use this for my news because it has been disruptive more than enough times.

Overwhelming ads - I deleted it. This local app is inundated with ads that you can’t mute or close. More ads than content. Other local news outlets don’t have nearly the same number of ads and pretty much the same content, so I’ve switched.

Stop automatic video playing, please!. Please remove the feature of automatically playing videos when you click on an article! If I want to watch a video, I’ll click on it myself! Instead I have to hear an annoying 15 second add before I can pause the video just so I can continue reading. It didn’t used to be like this...PLEASE FIX!!

App Constantly Freezes. You open an article, try to scroll down and it is frozen and times out. Tried deleting and downloading again, same thing.

Please Fix It. Please fix the app so that it doesn’t immediately start playing the videos when you click on a story. If I want the video to come on at full commercial volume, I will click on it.

Preferred NEWS Provider// accept multiple ADS. I’m so disappointed to repeatedly be bothered by MULTIPLE ADS with pop up pages websites(I’ve lost count). I don’t use App as often —because horrible experience!! Being harassed by multiple Ads disappoint & create a negative experience.

Awesome. I love the app and 15 news on the TV, I like the breaking news when sent to my phone it is very informing keep up the GREAT WORK!

Weather problem. WANE 15 weather morning and noon weather casts. On the tv screen, during the forecasts, there is a small box in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This box says WANE 15 with the current(?) temperature and the current time…as expected the time is always current and correct. On the other hand, the “so-called” current temperature is NEVER CORRECT‼️🙃For instance, the on-air picture and meteorologist said 50* and the box continued to say 47*‼️Why can’t these two be compatible ❓❓This bugs me every day. Hate the pop up ads!. Getting frustrated with the pop up ads that get in the way when trying to watch the weather forecasts. It’s not bad enough that they pop up but then you have to wait a certain amount of time to close some of them out. By then you’ve missed part of the forecast and have to rewind it to go back. And yes, I have blocked pop-ups on my phone but I still get these on the WANE 15 app. Please lose the stupid pop up ads 😠

New ads causing glitches. This app has been working great until they introduced ad “articles” in-line with the news. Now it reloads while scrolling so you can only see 5 or 6 articles, then right back to the top.

Great to Have but Doesn’t Work Well. It’s great to have the news in an app. However, this app has some major issues! Reading the news this morning, a pop up add (which opens up in a web browser) was initiated four times when trying to click the back button. Also, clicking back in some other areas brings you back to the top of the page so you have to scroll back down again and again to get to through all the news. I have never reviewed an app before but this one is so annoying to use that I felt it necessary. It’s better to just use the webpage instead of the app for Wane TV.

Ads lower quality of news experience. I do not mind advertisements, but when they are formatted to appear as news rather than ads, they become "fake news". In addition, the slow loading of inline ads interferes with reading of the news article because the page keeps jumping around; you a fixed container size to avoid jumping due to resizing as the content loads. The opening ad requires one of the more extreme actions for dismissing. Very annoying. Besides being inconvenient, it delays getting emergency weather updates. 5 star for the news. 1 star for the poorly done ad experience.

Ads ruined this app for me.. This is the best local news, but the ads made me delete the app. Any time I would click on an article, using the app on my phone, I would instantly be taken to a Safari webpage of a spam ad tracker page. Safari notified me it prevented 58 trackers from profiling me. I started getting a lot of spam after that. I deleted your app, reinstalled and same problem. I tried using your website instead, same problem. I don’t have this issue with other local news apps or websites. I really hope you can get better ads and not these bad ones that track your viewers and create spam.

Go back to other layout!. Not liking the layout since the latest update! Want it the way it was before!

New 15. Old news same everyday no information on stories when they post news

Big improvement. It's definitely much different from the old one, but once you get used to it there are lots of benefits. The biggest is a huge increase in the amount of content available. There also seems to be lots more video than on the previous version. I also particularly like the interactive radar which allows me to zoom in and out. I know some people have claimed it crashes, but I haven't had it happen. I use it on an iPhone 4S running iOS 6.0.1.

Excessive Ads. The reporting is great. However, way to many ads. I decided to download another news station’s app.

3/21 Update Downgrade. It still gives you the news, but with a lame new format plus four times the advertisements!

Don't waste your time.. I had this app for all of a frustrating half hour before deleting it. The old WANE app, as simple and featureless as it was, was better than this garbage. This is like amateur hour app development, and whoever put it together clearly had no idea what they were doing. I would expect a better quality app from a high schooler completing a computer science class project. Just a few issues off the top of my head: -This app freezes, stalls, and lags frequently when switching from a news story back to the home screen. -The screen pops and flickers with a few frames of black every time you tap on something, like a story or the sidebar menu. -The "inertial scrolling" of the menu is an absolute joke. -The Home button, when clicked, has an odd behavior of dimming only part (but not the whole) of the button.

Updated Application Stinks!. Your previous app was the only news app I ever used - LOVED it (with the exception of the video links / links Inge stories not working) - HATE is not a strong enough word for how I feel about this new app. Things are difficult to find and in general it is difficult to use. On an iPhone the home button is so small it took me two weeks of using the app to be able to find it - and the menu items are so small it makes them difficult to use. I HATE that when I am done reading an article there is no back button now so I have to go back up to the home button, etc., etc.... (And I have already told you the issues with that!) The old app was so much better. I used to use your app several times a day to stay up to the minute on news and weather, now I use it about once a week or less - and only if there is something in particular I am looking for. Fix it already!!!! Sincerely, A frustrated user.....

Terrible. This new update is terrible, I wish I would've had deleted the previous app. First of all, it freezes 75% of the time. Scrolling down the news feed also upsets the app and makes it freeze. Lately I can't even click on the news post. I can read the main headline, but I can't click it. After you do read a news post, the way it's set up is annoying on how to get back to the home screen. Sometimes when I click on a news post it will send me to one I didn't click on either. I wan the old app back, it was simple. Just because this new app gave us more options doesn't mean it's better. I used to use this app hourly for check ups. Now I don't think I'm going to open it again until my App Store has an update for this. Go back to the previous set up, please.

Another news station bites the dust. Blatantly lying to the citizens of Fort Wayne and the surrounding areas about large-scale fraud. What ever happened to curious, unbiased journalism? You won’t find reliable, credible or trustworthy reporting here from anyone. Wane 15 tanking right before our eyes. 🚽🧻

Random blaring ads or newscast.. Randomly very loud audio happens while simply trying to read a headline or article.

Improve Rating. Your rating will improve when you stop opening with an ad that has to be swiped away.

New WANE site more adds than news. Loved the old version, this recently updated and now has multiple adds and is hard to navigate.

Love it but, needs more work. I honestly like this app only because I like weather and this app does have it but it only has very little information about the weather. That's why I will rate it a 4 stars, but I beg u to at least make it like the PC version. Then I will rate it a five star.

Change is not always good.... Not at all happy with the new app. Went from a very smooth and functional product that is clear and navigable to one that is not. Even the presentation of media is odd. Reconsider your upgrade with the understanding that if the user doesn't feel comfortable with the mobile app, they will no longer be users.... Otherwise, this is all for not.

Click bait. Too much click bait. It’s irritating to navigate the app in an attempt to NOT click on some irrelevant click bait add.

Bad!. I don't know why it was decided to change the old app because it worked just fine but the new one doesn't. The set up of the new app makes no sense. After you click on a story to read the rest you have to scroll all the way to the top to go back to the list and it doesn't save your spot so then you have to scroll through to find the last story you read which is ridiculous. Now every time I click on a story it takes me out of the app and opens my browser. So I deleted the app.

Pride in work. Does not show with this site. Articles written in haste are not proof read. Information is not double checked or updated in correct fashion. Apparently WANE feels the readers using the internet are not worthy of professionalism.

Update not necessary. This update does not have great features. The app does not open properly on my phone; it prompts me to "upgrade" before I can view the news page. The buttons are small, confusing and inconspicuous. I am not a fan of the drop down menu, I liked the menu bar and its options on the bottom that the previous app offered. Please consider another upgrade that fixes these troubles; otherwise this app is more difficult to use and of little value to me. Now I am forced to select a rating, though apple does not understand that I don't want to give this update any stars.

HORRIBLE UPDATE!. The new update for WANE is so un-"user friendly" and frustrating to use. The set up is terrible, when you read a news story you have to scroll all the way back to the top to hit the back button (which is stupid) so you can renavigate the page to try and find another news story, there are ads all over in inconvenient places which interfere with the flow of the pages, the weather tab is difficult to use too. Please bring back the old app, this one is horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A horrible waste of WANE money. I hope Hoosier Windows is paying a fortune for the most annoying pop up ads ever!!! I'm deleting this waste of memory due to that and the fact it crashes EVERY TIME you try and read a news story. There's also the annoying inability to look at the pictures associated with the story. Why put a story on the App asking for help in identifying someone if you can't see the picture past the title text or in a separate window? I would think that WANE would actually have an App that wasn't a piece of garbage like this...

Wrong direction. Each version you make drastic changes that just make it more unfriendly. The latest one where the a advertisements show in middle of the story is very annoying. I understand you are trying to make a little money with that but I have been using it less and less each version. Please be sure that your own people have to use this every day and if they enjoy it then it must just be me. But I think many news places outsource their reader and loose focus if what it is suppose to do.

This app is trash. The app was good but the new video at the top of the story is trash.

This has gone far enough. Videos still won’t play when you tap the play button it’s still NOT fixed this need to be fixed RIGHT AWAY that’s messed up

Too many adds. Used to be my go to news app. Do you really need all the pop ups and redirects for adds? NBC has a much better app. This one is garbage. I expect more from news channel 15.

Disappointed. This app does not function properly at all. Pages skip. Alert links take viewers to blank pages. I've had the app and have faithfully applied the updates for months now. Issues have never been fixed. In today's high tech environment an app like this is common and easily managed. Lack of proper navigation for consumers is just plain unacceptable.

Not even usable. The previous version before March 7 was actually usable. Now the app just constantly freezes up it's not even usable. to begin with it's a web app program that pretty much a Internet browser. You guys need to pay someone to actually making an app not a web browser. This is pretty much a web browser with a back button . I have easier luck using chrome on my phone and using the desktop version.

Nice job.. I like the new App. I admit I initially missed the buttons on the bottom that enabled me to quickly change from news to weather. However, it didn't take long to adjust to the new format. The greatest change is that I wasn't able to play video before and now I can.

Buggy and slow.. using it. Bring back the old version or get out of the app game. This new version is truly horrendous

Stop. No matter how dire the news is...you constantly have to dismiss the ad that pops up when this loads. Are you about news...or making a dime from your ads?

Not Up to Standards. The app for the iPad doesn't work as well as the tablet website they have. The sidebar on the right isn't fully working on the app as it does on the website. The graphics are not updated to take advantage of the retina display. It needs a lot of work and polish. For now I would recommend using their tablet website or full website because this app is no better at taking advantage of the iPad's features.

Poor app. I have used Wayne TV app for quite a while but every update they put out the app gets worse. It now freezes frequently takes longer to load drains your battery and pictures with wrong articles or pictures with in articles do not load. The last update was the worst now it claims it's fetching articles and will sit and load and load and load and no articles appear. Please Wayne bring back your old app that worked well.

Recent update today won’t load app at all. I just updated the app with today’s update June 30th and the app won’t load at all please fix this issue as I rely on this app.

Local info. Like the local info. Makes it convenient to keep up on the go. Wish you wouldn't block the headline pictures with the headline. When you click a link it should go to the link instead of just going to your web page and making you search for the link again. I am sticking with this app and hope future updates fix these issues.
