Terrible!. After the most recent update everything got bad! The live streaming won't work. Ad pop ups all the time, it stops the live streaming. I have to now watch Channel 2 News.

Visually confusing. Got this app after the update everyone is talking about, but came to say yes its visually confusing. Please change it back to how it used to be

Update worse. Was an easy to navigate app, with everything needed. Update provides new graphics, which get in way of use but provides more advertising space, slows down use, and I want the old app back! I don’t want to be a forecaster, just a user who needs details in a hurry!

Terrible updates. This has been my go to weather app for years. The new updates are horrible. Time to delete.

Update. This used to be my Favorite weather app. I just deleted it because of your update. Too bad. 2bad2//!!

Horrible update. Find another app. This was my go to weather app. Update is really bad. I want to read the amount of snow or rain not watch a video to find out. Will be switching to a new app for weather. Very disappointed in Channel 4 app. Don’t waste your time, look elsewhere. Zero stars

Four warn ads. Filled with screen ads AND pop ups. tried to use in severe weather and up come the pop ups...easier to use national wax service web site...one word...DELETE

Missing Marine info. Thousands depend on Wind Speed and direction, Wave heights, and Water temperatures every summer here in WNY. But the developers didn't think it was important. They need to get out more.

New update. Stinks

Continuous obtrusive ad pop-ups. Forecast & Warnings are accurate but recently the ad pop-ups are so incessant that they prevent one from reading them in full. Too annoying to keep this app so will try another local app. Also, the radar has never worked for me.

Radar does not work. I don't mind the verbal warnings I do like those but the radar does not work at all so this app is no help to me. I'll go to other weather apps for radar and more detailed weather reporting.

Changed for the worse. This was a great app and then one day, all ads, no usable content. Dumped it immediately.

Good, not great. Be better if you show wind gust either on main screen or even better, hourly. Talk about wind gust all the time and it's been bad this past year so why not tell us what the mph is

I like it. This newest version is useful. It does what it has to and is very easy to navigate. I never had the old version so I can’t compare, but it’s good by me.

Review. Amazing!

One year later - Still terrible. The app lives down to it’s one star rating. I wish there was a NO Star rating. The app implementation is especially bad on the iPad, and that is where it should shine. If it was not associated with WIVB weather, I would have deleted it a year ago. And I may still, if I can find a useful replacement.

I tried. I tried to get used to the new layout, but I can’t; it’s awful. I miss the old radar as well. Deleted.

January 2022 update. Update in early 2022 is horrific. I never leave reviews for apps or clothing but this is awful. Used to be very early to maneuver and get to the information I needed but this new format makes it so you don’t understand what is the app and what is ad.

Poor weather app. Used to be a good app until they made horrible changes and it’s too difficult to follow. I switched to the channel 2 news app. Much better.

New Update Really Bad. This new “updated modern” format stinks. The map is LESS interactive than previous editions. You can’t see lightning strikes. The colored boxes are not labelled on the map. (You can see them but there is nothing telling you why they are there). I subscribe to weather Alerts and have gotten none. It is advertisement driven. Fix it or it goes bye bye. Using another app in the meantime -AccuWeather.

Terrible!. Crashes constantly. Radar is counter intuitive. Overall layout is poor.

Not happy with new app !. The new layout is terrible , the old app was so easy to use . The new print on home page is so small to read . I could get the 5 day weather on a horizontal lay out , so easy, not on the new vertical one day at a time. I am searching for a replacement so good by !

Terrible since the update - don’t bother!. I used to love this app. It had a great radar that was easy to view, lightning detection, and great weather information. Now it’s just junk and clutter. No lightning detection. The layout is awful. Not sure why they changed it. There are better apps available from rival stations. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

Update. The new update is not user friendly. I chose to go with another weather app at this time. This one used to be my go to!

Useless. Doesn’t work when you need it to

Avoid this App. I would rate at 0 stars if I could. The latest update makes a poor app worse in general and the radar map in particular. The background is now glaring white and cannot be changed. The Loop is only 40 Min. and the speed is too fast. There is no option for Future Radar except in the settings. On iPad with radar in landscape orientation, when you switch to Current Conditions or Home, it flips to Portrait and you have to reorient the device. Also even with the iPad set to Dark Mode, everything is bright.

Horrible update. I used to love this app as it was one of the most accurate forecasting locally. Everything was easy to find and right at your fingertips… this new “modern” layout they released today is horrible! Can’t tell what’s an ad and what’s part of the app. Locating the features your looking for is difficult now and no longer right there when app loads. Deleting this one and downloading channel 2 weather app because they have the page layout channel 4 used to have! Also, I’ve never felt the need to write a review before but this update is frustrating and kind of upsetting. 😞

Keeps me informed. Channel 4's new weather app has been great for keeping up to date on quickly changing weather conditions. Finally a weather app that is easy to use!

New design stinks. You have to scroll through to find what you’re looking to rather than a quick summary on th start page.

New version update is awful. This new version of the app is awful. Switch back to other version please. Used this app for years for weather, but will change if it stays this way.

Aggravating update. The Radar map has motion control right on top of the map. The original map looked much better. The hourly forecast is graphic and not tabular so now you need to scroll sideways - annoying. There appears to be more ads mixed in which makes it difficult to get to what you want to view. Bring back the original app please.

Just like the news app...:0(. The 4 warn weather app was a wonderful app until the latest update... Now it isn't any better then the news app. It's loaded with redirect adds and adds on the home page!! I deleted it just as fast as the news app... Great job channel 4!

Horrible after app was updated!. I used this all the time as I travel a ways for work. Then last year they did this update and it was terrible! I tried getting use to it but I just used different app for rest of winter season last year. As the winter season approaches this year I downloaded again hoping that they made changes to the app thinking I couldn’t be the only one who hated this update and hoping they’d listen and revamp the app. Looks like I’m using a different app again this season. I downloaded Channel 2 weather app and that app seems to be like what Channel 4’s used to be. If you are thinking about using this app then I hope you only need to know about weather as it is happening because that is all this app seems to show….weather for an hour.

Works 4 or 5 times after downloading. I gave up constant downloading after 4 or 5 openings the app does not respond to the touch, cover page displays and the eternal spinning circle hangs up! Useless! Their previous app was flawless, this one is garbage!

Crap app. I am sick of deleting and downloading this app because it just stops! Fix this dud!

Hate it!. What have they done??? This new version of the app is terrible. I will be deleting! Not user friendly at all. Information is very difficult to find. I loved the former set up. Someone ran with a really bad plan here. Bye Channel 4.

Update? No thanks.. I’ve never written a review before. This was my go to for weather. It was easy to navigate and find the info I was looking for. The recent update is horrible. It’s hard to locate the info I want now. Seems there’s a bunch of ads on the app now so much so that I often can’t tell what’s an ad and what’s an actual part of the app content. And the presentation of the info is such that I can’t find what I want anymore. Visually it’s extremely unappealing and it’s way to busy. Disappointed and will be deleting the app and finding a better one.

Terrible update. I liked the simplicity of the old design of this app. Now that it’s modernized it’s terrible! It’s too hard to understand what everything is supposed to mean or where things are in this new update. I know most updates take time to get used to but this is awful

Terrible update!. This app used to be great and our go-to until this last update. It’s not worth the hassle since there are much better weather apps out there. I wholeheartedly suggest the newly updated Weather Channel’s app offering, it’s excellent! We are just about done with channel 4. Even viewing with the cable this station pixelates, goes dark and has trouble with smooth transitions - pretty sad and at times maddening.

Advertising App. I downloaded this app to keep up with the latest weather alerts as they advertise on tv but it's just an app that bombards you with advertising. I deleted it just as fast as it took to download it.

Wrong direction. This app used to be my favorite. New update is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I’ll check back in a few months to see if any changes have been made. I’ll be using another app in the meantime. I tried to get used to the layout, the new radar, and the interface…just don’t like it. Sorry guys, feels cheap.

NEW APP IS POOR. They updated their app in early 2022, it’s horrible. The new update is way to confusing and not user friendly whatsoever. The old app was simple, straight forward and easy to navigate. Please go back.
