Learning vs time efficiency.... I love that it helps me learn chinese! The other app was all in English, and I felt dumbed down. But the other app was a tap here and a tap to and all good. This one is a tap and a tap to route then having to remember what the place was to find. A little more time consuming. But again, I’d rather learn chinese.

Review about this map. now the app is totally updated, using it and very helpful to move around all over the Shanghai

Please Update!. This app is not up-to-date. For example, there have been major expansions of line 12 & 13 that are not reflected. Please update!

Travel with ease. I don't always use the route planner function, because google maps gives more precise directions, but this app is a godsend. It keeps me from looking like a tourist because i don't have to study the posted maps, I can discreetly check my direction with this. The maps are clear and in both Chinese and English, so I need to ask a local, I simply change the language. I've gotten so confident with traveling now that I have many of the routes memorized. Everyone get this app!

Great offline map. In both English and Chinese. Essential map for straphangers

New map update. There are new subway stations that lunched recently but map is not updated

Not bad but.... Here's a suggestion - provide the option of viewing the map "to scale." For example, you placed Longyang Road directly north of Pudong Airport to save space on the screen so we don't have to scroll a lot. Yet, on a truly scaled map you'd see that the airport is actually southeast of Longyang. It's misleading and makes it hard to judge distances.

Great App. Up to date; easy to use- zooming and scrolling are very smooth; cool features.

Very useful. Travel within Shanghai is much easier using the Metro and this is a clear map of the system.

Inaccurate and outdated. Sadly, this once useful app is no more! Stations are missing on the iPhone version, most notably Hongqiao Airport Terminal 1 (a gross oversight) among others. Entire lines are absent, too. Shame...

Perfect app for our trip to Shanghai. Great app. Works offline as well. Has fastest route and least connections options.

not updated. I'm not sure if you (the creator) have noticed, but a few lines have had their routes either changed or extended. so this map app is that reliable anymore.

"Was" a good app but too outdated.. Dropped this app since no one is updating.

Great app. Its being 1 year since the last update, that makes me sad since its really and easy to use app and map, compare to other route planers in my opinion. Hope someday Mapway retake this app and take it back to the top as it is supposed to be ^^ keep the good work mapway!

Best one in shanghai. This was my favorite app for metro but it's out of date and there are a few lines that aren't listed. That's a shame

needs updated lines added. app not updated since 2013. new stations/lines need adding. first and last train, trip cost and travel yimes need adding/updating.

Great app, could be greater. Works perfect and easy. It's very simple. Would be nice if it told you what time at night and what time in the morning the different lines stop and start running.

None. Very easy to use and better than reaching in to your pocket for a paper map. Just about every person on the Shanghai subway is using a phone, so you'll fit right in and look like you know where you're going. The ticket machines have an "English" button for easy ticket purchase.

Used to be GREAT. Now out of date.. I used this for all of 2014 living in Shanghai. But now it’s out of date. For example, it doesn’t have the Shanghai Natural History museum station. If it were updated, it would again become the best Shanghai subway app.

Great app! But, needs to be updated!. How is line 12 not on this app yet??? It has been opened for awhile now. It makes no sense for it to be easier to build and activate a whole metro line than update an app. Great app otherwise.

Out of date. Good app but out of date. There are many new line extensions missing. There are now better aps.

Ridiculous. This app is ridiculous. I opened the app only to be blasted with some loud, obnoxious music that I couldn’t turn off. Completely unnecessary and unrelated to the app. I deleted the app immediately.

Very easy to use. Metro is a fabulous way to get around Shanghai and the map and route planner a great help.

So practical, so simple. Used this in Shanghai a couple of months ago. The shanghai subway is easy anyway, but this is really a good app to make it even easier.

Fantastic app!. This app allowed me to really go "off book" and get out and enjoy Shanghai. Getting around was an absolute breeze. I never even took a taxi in the week I was there. It is incredibly easy to use - from finding stations to plotting routes (2 options) this app is a must have. App and Day Pass is all a tourist needs to get the most out of Shanghai.

Had the previous version which was better.. The previous version allowed you to just click two different stops and it would then tell you the fastest way with cost. Now you have to click one station then type in the other. Makes it much more difficult if two stations have similar names etc.

Map not up to date! Has missing stations!. This map hasn't been updated in a while and could do with an overhaul of all the new lines and stations in Shanghai. For example, line 12 extends further across more stations and there's even a Disney Resort Station! Where is it? You'll need another map to show you that...

Good, Lacking Disney Station!. The app is really great in its easy-to-use interface and clear maps, but Shanghai Disneyland just opened and this app still lacks Disney Resort station! Many people will be visiting Shanghai and thus, Disneyland, and needs that station to be added for navigation.

Great subway map!. Very detailed, very accurate. It not only helps visitors to get around the gigantic city, but also helps the locals on their daily commute as well!

Simple but effective. I use this app quite a bit while i vacation in Shanghai. It has a good basic map of all the routes. The travel planner is also good.
