Bugs. Very good game however has a bug when sacrificing and summoning monster animation doesn’t play and stays on a black screen

Bring back the original DS.. I downloaded this game when it first came out. Was in the top 50 players for the first time in my life (lol) until they did that huge upgrade and added way too much crap to it. Best game for mobile devices in history until they decided to take it way too far. :(

Dark summoner. Seriously you have to give this game a shot. They don't disappoint. Graphics are cool, monsters are awesome. Anytime there is a tech problem they take care of it and almost always give you free stuff to make up for inconvenience. Give it a try what's the worst thing that could happen, delete another app? Get in on the ground floor because this one is going to become a classic tomorrow!!!

Problems. So I gave this game a 2 star rating because every single time I open my game it starts then closes so I have to reopen the app. It never lets me play for more then 2 minutes and sometimes it will shut before it even loads the game it’s driving me crazy. I love love love this game and would be glad to make it a 5 star rating as soon as the problem is fixed

Great game but... Wonderful game but lately I’ve been having issues with the ads for the ritual summon. Occasionally the ad won’t close or enlarge to the point I can’t close it. And for some reason when I try to go to my gift box it takes me to a twitter page. If I could get feedback as to why I’d much appreciate. I don’t wanna uninstall but at this point it seems... buggy to say the least

Fix sound please. (Still not fixed after latest update.) Latest update overrides all background music/podcast apps. Super annoying. I get it; you want me to play this game for hours and watch ads. If I can’t listen to my music in the background though, you’re going to lose me.

Aboriginal. It's a fun game what little I get to play. It is an extremely complicated game with a whole lot to do. Trying to accomplish what is needed is the problem. I am constantly running out of battle points, or ally points, or crystals, or gold, or attack points, or mission points, or summons, or relics, or whatever you need to accomplish anything. 4 battles?? Out of battle points, can't do that anymore. Lend aid to fellow guild mates? 6 maybe 7 attacks, out of attack points, can't help anymore. If you want to spend your own money, you can build up quicker... maybe, but the experience you get for doing anything is minimal and you need a lot to gain levels. I work to hard for my money to spend it here though. What little I can do in the game is fun though for now.

App Issue Apple. So I just updated my IPhone with the newest 14ProMax. Successfully transferred my data, but when I open it up, the icons are much smaller and only uses half the screen. Looked through the features in the game and didn’t see a way to make it full screen. And FYI, this is the only app to do this.

10 years ago…. Dark Summoner is a graveyard of what it used to be. It’s hard to imagine how a game like this used to be so incredibly addicting and fun, and now the buttons don’t work. I’m pretty sure this game is inactive. The menu still works, but leaving a comment, battling, or anything outside of missions that requires somewhat of a server is completely glitched out. Download for the nostalgia, or don’t.

Love this game but... This game was amazing when I first started playing it six or so years ago, I remember it the other day and decided to download it and see what was new. It’s still the same tried and true game that I fell in love with all those years ago BUT it doesn’t fit on my phone screen (iphone12) when I launch the game the playable screen area is roughly 1/3 of my screen and it’s difficult to play that way. I’m hoping this gets fixed eventually but until then I can’t play.

Must play. Always loved this game just wish I could remember my original account login and password from 8 years ago lol. Still it’s a great game to download and play.

Sad. I had 2 accounts and spent money on both. My son made one account for me when he purchased a new phone for me and wanted to surprise me. I recently lost that account when I got a new phone email after email and no success. After spending a lot of money as well. I’m sure they can link it right to my Twitter and my bank account but instead give the run around. Very sad. Now I know why the game has been dying. If they treat there paying customers like this. Very sad. I’m a hard guy to shop for so my family buy iTunes cards for Christmas and I usually use them on this game. Guess that won’t happen this year. My bank account will get a break now.

Not a lot has changed. I played this game when it first came out 10 years ago, and recently rejoined hoping to get my account back. Unfortunately I wasn’t able too, but I kinda expected it. Overall, the game really hasn’t changed at all, from what I’ve noticed so far. Not a bad game, but not the best.

Attack history. There has to be some sort of bug, the attack history has not changed once since I got 25 wins, and I won plenty of time during the battle brawl.

Review. Love this game! Wish more were like it! I just wish when you roll the dice on missions, and land on a number; that you get the chest as you pass through it. Game gets better with each level and monster to evolve

Great game. I used to play this 3 years ago, and it was great. I went to start, I got to the point in the tutorial were you summon for the first time and then got stuck on the loading screen and won’t continue. I really want to play this again.

R.I.P. Old account.. I cannot log into an existing account from 2016. I made the mistake of making a new account and I cannot simply log out of it no matter the method I have tried. I am unsure of where to go in-game in order to solve this issue. I don’t have any old receipts because I never purchased any in-game currency; I earned it through alternate methods that was offered before the new updates. I don’t want to reset the player account because that would just prove a point of “wasted time” through the new account and the old account. This game is dead. The past 2 years, is dead. All of that time spent: gone. Time to move on.

Mediocre if not better than before. Your in the right step but you must fix certain issues , the lag In guild battles ,distribution of s monsters and now god + monsters , I don't want to keep paying money to have fun in this game and when I do it still doesn't give me what I want ,, ohhh one last thing I have like 5 profiles with you guys can you sum them up for me that was money lost

Wont even load into game. I used to play this back in 2012 when it was still playable and I had a really fun time playing. I would like to see the state that it is in now but my game wont even load in past some text that says something about personalized ads. sad to see

Still buggy. It’s absurd that a game this old is as buggy as this. Several times a day, hitting a button or a banner will bring up a Twitter “sorry, page not found” screen. How does that even happy? Is this game running on Twitter?? That’s crazy. The latest annoyance is that every 5-10 minutes the server will lose track of you and the game will be stuck on a loading screen. Either wait 5 minutes til the server finds you again, go back to the home screen if the button is active, or force close and restart if it’s grayed out. Even without these issues, the devs make minimal effort to keep the game up to date. They’re great at constantly churning out overpowered new skills to induce the spenders to spend, but lazy at everything else. Events are still stocked with rewards that were helpful 5 years ago, but are beyond useless now. Monster classes that are now useless (AAAs) still can’t be gifted because that’s how it was 4 years ago. S monsters still can’t be traded in at the jewel store because they’ve never bothered to update that in the 3 years since G and G+ monsters were introduced. The game has degenerated into a cash grab in which no effort is made to update this sort of basic functionality. It’s all about making sure the 100 or so people at the top of the food chain have to constantly keep spending to keep up with each other. The other 2,000 people still playing don’t matter.

Wth happened ?. This game used to be great ! But now you can’t even play it for 2 sec before it force closes the app sometimes before u even make it into the actual game !! And for some reason it doesn’t fit the whole screen which is kind of annoying

Question and Review. Its not clear on how to get golden cups for the current raffle, the 10th Autmnal Advent Summoner raffle? Like its says you need them but theres no info on how to get them? And it does seem like the game is starting to become a pay to win since theres no truly easier way to get soul points

Everything for cash. This game was great once.. You would be rewarded for time and effort. Events were more fun, you could survive the game without spending $100’s.. but now it’s the same cycle of a few events, everything is sold rather than earned. The battle system is broken. There are active glitches being exploited. Literally, the only way to stay afloat is to PAY for EVERYTHING.. Now the game has gone to trash

New iPhone/iOS16 display issues. Hi, Ateam, long time supporter here. On the iPhone 14 and latest version of iOS at time of writing, the game has trouble displaying properly and only fills the top left corner of the screen. I’d appreciate it if you guys could fix asap.

one of the best free games. i've been playing this game since 2011, stopped for a while then came BACK for it. i just couldn't stop playing! it's entertaining, has a cool story unlike most similiar games, cool graphics, beautiful monsters when their OWN lore. seriously give this a shot

The game died, when trading did.. I was among the first to play this game, and I was addicted to it for a couple years. It Was THE best game. The old auction house was nice, I definitely enjoyed the newer auction house more (which most wont agree with me) and this game use to not be a “only way to win is to pay”. You used to be able to actually grind this game out and trade your way up, of course paying made your travel faster and easier to obtain, but now it’s a “pay, or you get nothing worth your time and dedication” but it was amazing. Recently came back to the game to find that there is no trading/ auction house that is worth it. Really saddened me. So I’m sorry if I ruffled anyone’s feathers.. but I don’t think I will be returning. Get in the game and look up “kinkyJOKER”, that’s my account, and I was able to enjoy this game without spending a cent. Everything I have didn’t cost me anything and can still beat people on the battle list today. All free. This used to be the best game.. thanks, and I hope everyone had a great day.

The Key Exchange Is Broken. The recent update has the Key Exchange deleting all my rewards except for 2 Xeno Monsters. I’ve lost out on over 100,000 gold and 200 free SP. I’ve played this game since launch and is you can tell the devs barely care. It’s a fun game but fix the bugs, give us the missing rewards, and fix the key exchange glitch.

All about money. This used to be the best and most exciting I have ever played on my phone but everything is about making money . I have spent my share of money to improve but now if u want anything u have to buy it. Getting AAA+ monsters was the coolest thing especially in a summons which was rare but now u are just given stuff which in the long run doesn’t mean anything those monsters the G Really are junk monsters they give those away to keep one coming back . I miss the authenticity of the game.

Great game! BRING BACK OLD SOUNDS!!!!. I’ve been playing since 2012 and I still find the game to be very fun and addictive! I feel like you guys should revert to the older battle sound effects because they sounded a lot better. The skill Sound effects now just don’t sound as satisfying now.

Developers try to get rich off this mediocre game. Everything in this game is about money. For instance, there are always mountains of “special” packs, summons, points, and assorted other items for sale for absurd amounts of cash. Literally all of the events that are supposed to be entertaining have various ways to advance with cash. On top of this, the game is mediocre at best, and, often buggy af. Save your time and money and avoid anything made by Ateam developers because unless you are willing to shell out cash continuously, it is made ridiculously hard to get anything good in their games.

Still runs the same as 7yrs ago. I had this game 7 years ago, on a different device, and it still performs the same as back then. Slow and buggy. 7 years later and it’s the same laggy game, different phone. Lot of bugs but other than that, I play it for the nostalgia. It’s a game where you don’t have to put much attention in to and it has a lot of cool art in it

Needs UI Update but decent. As my title says the game overall is decent but the UI is clunky and needs a major update. It hasn’t changed since they released this game many years ago. I have been unable to collect rewards from several events due to the collect screen not appearing. I’m using an iPhone XS Max and I’ve also tried on my iPad. Please fix!!

Still great after all the years!. Loved the game! Wish I could remember my old account though, rip Omni Seta and my first cypher Selene 🤭. Warning IOS update that allows zoom for ease will throw off the game and it needs to be switched to standard of you want to play this game.

Addictive but still learning. I’ve been playing this game for 8 days now. I find it addicting but I’m not sure why. I’m still learning. There are several different things to do. Quests, battles, coliseum, etc, etc, etc, and each one helps you earn rewards and advance. So far I’ve done fairly well. Hope it continues. I can see myself hitting a wall. Then who knows. I do wish they explained things better.

It’s different. The game is a lot different than it use to be. It’s my third time downloading it over all but the general of game play is still the same but with some new added creatures . How ever, what I’m not liking is the in ability of being able to log back into the game and instead get taken to a testing page . Hopefully it fixes its self cause I’ve tried every fox possible

support is nonexistent. I used to play this game daily. I can’t transfer my data. My phone automatically started a new game, and now I can’t transfer. No way to delete the new account, no way to start over, no way to transfer. You’d think they’d have a way by now.

Get them all guys. The battles in this game blow , nobody wants to hang out in a guild for to long before they quit playing , no action in the battles, you work on your form so hard just to watch an arm hit the other guild lol

What happened?. Loved the game when it first came out. Now i can’t even get the game past the opening screen. Pops up with a “close” button that can’t be clicked.

Dark summon. Ok people , check out this game. I'm not game savvy ( much anyway ). I've fallen for this game. It seems to offer something new almost daily. BEWARE subject matter can be disturbing to some.

Do give it a try. Honestly the game is pretty fun. I love the old school and retro look. The controls are hard for me so just mess around with it to get use to it. It could use some tweaks here and there. As a new Player I don’t understand the hate on the old reviews. I see a lot of potential for this type of game. “Dark Fantasy” truly is fitting. I’m not sure what else to expect from this in the future. I need help on a few things I don’t understand so I might not play this long-term. The communication is hard, or is there communication asides from comments in Clans? I’m a newb after all..

Red menace. Game keeps crashing at least once per minute but mostly more. I think this is caused by my new WiFi device called eero. Anyone else have this issue?

If only.... Great game, but their server farm is WAY underpowered. During sentinel battles (4 times a day) logging in on an iPad Pro takes more than 2 minutes. Any command after that is just as slow. Too bad cause I like the game. The performance issues have been apparent on every ISP I’ve used, from 200mb/sec up to gigabit Ethernet, so I know it’s on their side.

Must try. Great game, always have something different going on. I’ve been playing Dark Summoner for years. Clan battles and events never disappoint.

The game died when they killed trading to make the game pay to win. I recently remembered the game so I came back to check it out and it’s even worse than before. Great game. Would be 5 stars but there is something you need to fix. I spent ages getting A+ max team of the same monster, combos are inactive when you have 2 or more of the same monster. Ruined the game for me. Make combos active for the same monster teams, I feel like I wasted time and effort getting them all A+ max.

Please read before downloading - bad review. By far, the worst game I have ever played. The greed of Ateam makes the game really unenjoyable. You can't get anywhere in the game unless you are willing to pay hundred's of dollars, and even then you probably won't succeed. The game was great at the start but greed and bad players have made this the worst game ever. Along with this, the new updates make it so you have to pay for once tradeable monsters, and you can only gift/trade 5x per day, unless you are willing to pay for more.

Loading....... It is a great and fun game but it would be even better if it was consistant, meaning, sometimes it loads really quick and other times it doens't. I have to keep shutting the program down and try and start again for it to hopefully work and load quicker.

Meh. After playing it for a while I realized its not as good as people make it out to be, they really push you to spend lots of cash on the game which is a waste in my eyes anyway...you can rarely get good cards or summons unless you get lucky, the players on the auction are ridiculously greedy, if your one to blow off cash on iPod games then you may like it more then I did but other then that there's not much great things about it.

A long time ago.... This game used to be a somewhat carefree and interesting time waster, I mean c'mon, that's what all these free to play counter games are right? However it has steadily gone downhill over the course of the time I've played. The events are boring and repetitive, often simply being the same event with a new Roman numeral after it, and the pvp matchmaking is a broken joke. Stick to something with a little more action and a little less money grab, like pong or watching paint dry.... Either would be more entertaining...

Game crashes and gets very very mess. The game always crashes and when it loads it take for eternity well it never loads properly.. An Old Favourite. I first downloaded this game when it had just come out. My friend and I stumbled upon it and were instantly addicted, playing until we were 2 of the top 10 players in the game (I had once even made it to 1st place in the world). Obviously the game has grown over the years and although I liked it better back when it was still a new game and I was one of 300 players; it is still a very fun and incredibly addictive game after 5 years and 8 million downloads. 5 stars, Dark Summoner, thanks for the memories! Game aint working. There is an update message that keep making the game bug, except that the game is great but producer are @sshole. They are using marketing strategy to force player to spend lot more money. All AA monster are more than 250 energy potions (250$) to 700ep ($) producers are the reason of that system. 2 stars. Game is fantastic, but if you wanna get good be ready to spend big time. You can pay 200$ and still have only bad monsters. So basically a nice game you need big money to be good.

Crash!!. Wow nice update huh... I cant even play anymore... Its been like that for almost a week and nothing has been done!

Great but.... This is a great game, there is lots of content. Fun events you can do ( new ones every week), and when you become power full you feel like you earned it. However, there is a wait time to regain your energy and battle points, but I think it is a fair system they have ( you don't need to worry when you first start because every time you level up you regain all of it). The trading went down hill in my opinion but it is still a good idea for the trading system. All in all this is a fun app and is addictive once you get into to. 10/10 would play way to much again. Idea. A good idea for the game, make a search option in the auction so you can search specific monsters instead of going through 140+ pages of everything . The decision between different grades and styles of monsters is a good start, but there can still be 50+ pages to search through that I don't have the time or patience for, but a search bar to type in exactly what you want would speed up everything by far. Still keep the grade and style of monster option, but an "advanced search" would be a great option also. I think that's worth a gift of 100ep and 10 dark summons, lol, just saying. I'd also accept the best AA+ monster and call it even, lol, but seriously. (Vitro_Nass) (SIN)

Forgot my ID. Why can't you just use your username? I haven't actually played this game in 2-3 years, but when I tried logging on using a different iPhone because mine was stolen, I didn't know my ID. Seriously every other online game or website doesn't have you remember a stupid ID number, you log in with your email or username. I spent hours and tons of money on this game, and now I want to play again. Unfortunately I can't because after 3 years Ateam still hasn't fixed this problem.

The old card game days. I hate this new board game style gameplay. I remember the old days of how it was, I tried to get back into it multiple times each time it being a completely different game than what I used to remember

A long time fan. So I have been playing for about 6 years. It’s been awhile since I played and I wanted to get into it again. I absolutely LOVED this game. I would hours into it. On my current phone (XR with the ,as of writing, most recent IOS) the game won’t run. I get stuck after imputing a player ID. Nothing makes it go further. I really hope the devs are still active in working on this game because I would love for this to be fixed and made playable on newer devices!! I would give a higher rating IF I could get it running I’m sorry. No matter how much I used to love this if I can’t run it I can’t give it a high rating.

Greedy. In the beginning of the game it was much more fun but they put too many rules and take away too many good features but other then that I play since the day this came out so its really great game

It's Alright. If you play Brave Frontier this is pretty much an advanced version of it with more stuff to do but the graphics aren't very nice (in my opinion) and this game requires A LOT of patience and if you are an impatient person (like me) this game isn't for you unless you pay money but that a whole different story. Could be better..... This game has the potential to be really fun, and at times, delivers. The artwork on the cards is very well done. That being said, this game is lacking in several areas. It’s a typical F2P, but pay to get anywhere kind of game. And the developers really push the pay aspect on you. During play, especially the weekly events, you are constantly bombarded with in-game adds. Furthermore, to be competitive, you WILL have to spend a good bit of money to keep up with the top players. The normal everyday “missions” are horrible. Extremely time consuming and boring. The PVP battles and clan/guild battles are fun, but you quickly reach a point where you can’t compete unless you pay to get the things you need to max out your monsters. There is a trade market where you can trade your monsters with other player but navigating the menu system for it is difficult at times. There is no way to specifically search for a specific monster. The weekly events are almost as bad as the everyday missions. For example, this weeks event is a slot machine. There is another that is a black jack game. If I wanted to play either of those games I would download an app for it. Don’t expect to come anywhere near the top of an event unless you’re willing to spend money. Sometimes a LOT of money. They require purchases in order to get the items or the weekly “event specialist” needed to do well. Though they do give you a few things to start you off, you will never have enough to get very far. The developers do a good job of adding new monsters but you will seldom, if at all, get them when they come out, once again, unless you’re willing to pay for a CHANCE that you might get them. If you’re looking for mindless fun and good artwork, this game is for you. Otherwise, steer clear. There are much better apps out there that are free to play or cost very little money. For the amount of money you would have to spend on this game in order to get ahead, you could probably buy half the apps in the App Store.

Good game but. I think this game is great, but now every time I open it it lags out on me. I get on and I press the start button then it is downloading the update, it gets to 100% for the file and then it freezes and shuts itself off. I haven't gotten on in a few days, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't work. Pls fix this problem, I don't want to get rid of this game that I put so much time into. It's actually the only game I have spent countless money on and had no regret while doing it. I have spent around 500$ ( Give or take) and definitely will spend much more. There is definitely need for some improvements but much minor compared to the 100+ games I have already played. The first launched they offer A card, buy with point that you can purchase with real money to get A card. No long after that, they offer A+ from upgrading. After that, new card AA is available, yes, you must using point, money again. After AA that is AA+. Buy again, and purchase again. And now, they offer AAA! after AAA should be AAA+. And after AAA+ should be S card and again S+ and so on. Wanna trade? forget it if you dont have EP (not My EP) that you should purchase with dark point. If you dont have money to purchase? dont hope so much, you only get A card with low BP. This game is about the higher rank card should win! The event also suks because the higher level should be the winner to get 1st prize. your level is 100? dont hope so much to be ranked! you maybe should be at 5000+ rank. Fun & frustration. Dark Summoner can be fun but it can also be frustrating. I've never summoned a AA monster in well over 100 Dark Summons & "A" Monster summons. There don't seem to be limitations on how many devices can be used so there are numerous players that play 2-4 characters & can then pool all of their resources. This gives them a tremendous advantage over players using a single device. Even purchasing soul points with real $ doesn't seem to allow single device players to catch up. I know the odds for summoning a AA monster are low but how low? I've sent inquires to the devs but I've never received an acknowledgment let alone a response. Finally, some translations from Japanese to English are poorly written & can be difficulty to discern their true intent. I'm half-Japanese so don't take this as a racist rant. Also, the language filters allow some nasty, disgusting and/or pathetic player names. This can be a fun game but you'll either need multiple devices and/or plenty of $ to burn to do well and spending real cash often doesn't seem to help much.

New update makes game virtually unplayable. Crashes and freezes all of the time. Please revert back to last version before the most recent update. This is just horrible. And I’ve been playing for YEARS. :(

An Actual Review. Dark Summoner was a good game the first two or three weeks I played, before they established the in-app purchases for soul points. After that, it became what every free game usually becomes, especially one with competitive aspects: a rather pointless attempt to try to keep up with people who can buy opportunities. This wouldn't actually be horrendous, but the summons to get Rank A monsters are really hard to acquire, even when they do offer them, as the odd seem astronomically skewed and ratios seem impossible to reach for an average, sort of casual player. I played pretty frequently and still never seemed to make it. Unless you want to invest massive amounts of time and money into this, don't really expect to make it far. And at that, it's not even a good time consumer unless you have money to keep playing after you run out of energy and battle points. I'm not saying its a bad game - in fact, I really wish I could continue enjoying it - but it's simply not satisfying.

Great Game. This is a great game and unlike what some reviews have said, you can enjoy it without spending any real money. Some of the issues of getting ravaged for gold has been fixed. To the developers: I'm not sure if you've taken this into account, but please make sure that there is a way for anyone who has completed all the missions to be able to get "mission items" during events. I have yet to complete all the missions and you are always adding new ones but I know of some people who have completed them all and I was wondering if they were able to get items that you have to do new missions to get. For example, the crystal shards for the last mission. Were users who had completed all missions able to get crystal shards? It would be crappy if by being farther in the game you could not participate in new events. The only other suggestion I have is this: I'm sure you've noticed that people use their wish lists as trade lists. How about making a dedicated trade list so you could see what people had to trade and what they actually wanted. Great game! Keep the new stuff rolling. So far this game has stayed interesting unlike other games that grow old and stagnant.

Toxic Players. Beefing from day one... 2009ish... it was competitive and fun... till around 2016, 2017ish... noticing toxic level rising ever since. Too many militia and fascist far-right like minded players.

Ateams laughing at you. While we spend thousands a day it gives a short rush of fun and excitement. Not unlike drugs this game gives a short burst of fun with an ever so long depression short after. I'm one of the dummies who feeds Ateams greed. I literally have spent thousands, yet I tell no one because I am ashamed.. You can read a thousand other reviews based solely on the greed of this games development team. Make sure you know all the rules. Even ones not in writing on any plain of exist and I have ever found. I paid hundreds to get the items I needed to TRADE for the other items I needed(soul of skills) and sacrificed many at once as I'm sure others have done because THERE IS NO WARNING not to.. And that was they day I learned first hand that Ateam won't even reimburse your fake, imaginary, video game, items that costs them nothing. That I wasted a paycheck on. Game is addictive I'll give it that. But if u haven't played it.... DON'T!!! You will hate yourself, and everything related to the game and it's not worth it...

Once a loyal gamer. I invested myself in this game for quite some time. I was fortunate to make friends. But as their updates continued the game began deteriorating. All things must progress but getting ahead became more difficult, players became increasingly hostile & mean.. Then of course the requirement for payment to play grew. This was a lengthy and supportive letter months ago. Now I've unfortunately deleted it and revised. I want to still play but the fun is lacking. Oh and if you do invest your time and heaven forbid your money if ever you need help, if there's a glitch and you lose something the support team will not help you. If you realize something's gone missing don't waste your time asking for help. Hopefully I'm wrong and perhaps the game will evolve into something as it was before. Now I dare say it won't last much longer. I know it's just a game but it was an enjoyable escape during my down time and there's plenty more games but I just warn you don't invest too much into this one.
