A waste of time and money. I bought this app in order to learn the pronunciation of Hawaiian words for my upcoming trip to Hawaii. 1st of all it has incorrect information about how Many consonants there are. There is not 7 like they say. They're 8.. The one letter you didn't include in the glottal stop ' in English it is known as an apostrophe. 2nd of all when the pronunciation is said it needs to have the put together. It is very hard to learn it just by hearing it being broken down. Even if the full word is said 1st then it was broken down that would work too. 3rd it needs to include more words. Especially the island names

Aloha. This app is great for learning/translating basic Hawaiian. It doesn't replace a full fledged language program, but it also doesn't claim to. I use it to help with mele lyric translations and to look up fun words for everyday conversations, and for that it's great.

Hawaii Connection. Moved to OR about 6 years ago and really miss my home state. Keep connected by using Hawaiian words and phrases, that I grew up with, as usernames or passwords. No, I don’t use “Aloha” as it’s well-known and easy to guess. The Hawaii Words site helps me create interesting PWs.

I found my ham radio Callsign here!. Great app!

Word of the day. I love this app. It’s THE BEST Hawaiian word app. But, I got a new iPhone and had to get the app again. This time it’s not letting me get the word of the day. I have it set to do that. What’s up with that???

Edo Eco. Love the language and Hawaii....thank you for the App

Hawaiian to the MAX!!!. Very informative love this app

In app purchases. I would LOVE to buy the audio but it doesn’t work! I’m so frustrated!!

Disappointing. I love the dictionary so I gave it two stars, but I hate that I paid for the same crappy pronunciations I would get if I plugged these into any free text-to-speech app. I feel like charging for “Hawaiian audio” is pretty misleading. I want my dollar back.

Good, not great. Got this just for fun to help remember and learn Hawaiian words. There are definitely lots of words provided, and the brief pronunciation guide is useful (I didn't realize all words end in a vowel… so obvious, yet I never noticed). Things that can be improved: 1. The search feature works both English --> Hawaiian and Hawaiian --> English, but it is not well set up to let you know this. To switch preferences you have to first activate the search bar. The toggle feature should be on the main screen. 2. You can only search English words and have them translated to Hawaiian; it would be better if you could search Hawaiian words as well and have the English translation appear. I purchased the audio pack. It's useful, but pretty basic in terms of the sound. Just a computer voice. Not very smooth, but it does the trick.

Pronunciation is not includdd. Like everything about app however need to upgrade to be able to hear pronunciation

Auwe!!. Suggestion: Get a native Hawaiian speaker to voice the pronunciation. For goodness sake— the pronunciation is horrifying and NOTHING like Hawaiian is spoken. I used the app for a time to look up words. Then I sprang for the spoken bit. To teach my grandsons. Seriously? You need to give me my money back! Nothing like Hawaiian words sound! If you say the words as you are saying them, no one will understand. It’s offensive actually. If you need so references, I can connect you with native speakers. What I’m listening to is a travesty. Rea T Fox Hawaii

Haoli pooi. The audio is not pronounced correctly, The letter W is generally pronounced with a V sound as in the word Hawaii, plenty of other errors in pronunciation as well👎

Perfect for those Uhhhh moments. Moving to the mainland for college has been a strange transition, accent changes, vocabulary expands, words are pronounced "properly." I've known ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi for a while and when I run into another islander who knows ʻŌlelo I wanna talk to them in our language, so trying to remember the words can be a pain. This app helps a lot and teaches me words I didn't know before!

Useless unless.... ...you buy the packs.

Word of the Day?. I paid for the bundle and have been enjoying the word of the day. I checked my settings and I do have it set for word of the day-but it has disappeared. I even restored my past purchase and still no word of the day.🙁

Fun!. I use this very simple translation app whenever I want to send a special greetings or wish to my friends and relatives. Good luck, Happy birthday, congratulations... things like that all sound so much more fun and festive in Hawaiian!

Fun app. My great-grandparents spoke Hawaiian and my grandpa does too (in fact his middle name is Kealohalani, which means the love of heaven) so I decided I wanted to learn some words. This app is fun and easy to use.

A great way to learn!. This is a great app for those of us who grew up on the mainland and "lost" our language along the way. It's a great start to learning, what I lost not being home, except to visit, my entire life. I'll continue to use this app even after I return home next summer. Please keep up the good work. We need to work hard to keep our language alive!

Audio not worth the money. The dictionary is pretty good but the audio sounds nothing like Hawaiian, which is a big disappointment. Wish I never would have purchased it.

Worst app ever. This is the worst app ever. This app will not let me use the bundle pack I bought and it will not work after restoring purchase every time. Is any one else having this problem? If so plz help me.

Amazing. This app was so cool

Not working after purchase. I paid the bundle. But it’s still having ads and no other functions running. No audio, no hawaiianize. Every time it still asks me to purchase the bundle. Contacted the developer, no response. Scam!!!!

Not very happy 😣feel tricked. This sounded so fun and useful. I was excited to get it, no where in the advertisement does it tell you that you won't be getting the real full app. The ad tells all about the fun features and conveniently leaves out the part that it won't perform as advertised unless you pay $1.99. I just think if you want to sell your app you should either have a lite version free and a paid version for your cost and be honest and up front from the start instead of deliberately misleading people hoping they'll be "hooked" and pay up. Not a very trustworthy company tactic. Sooo 👎😞 it does't feel good to be manipulated and tricked.

Doesn’t know animal words. I put in “dove” and it said I was entering a proper name. Worthless if it can’t handle animal and bird names.

Helpful App. This is a good app for studying the Hawaiian language. Aloha Nui Loa Karen

Doesn’t work even after I bought it. Unless you only want to translate the word Papa it doesn’t work.

Incomplete. This dictionary has big shortcomings. I checked out words I know. For example I looked up the common word pu’u and it was not found, yet when I entered hill, I got pu’u. The only translation for aloha is goodbye informal. We all know aloha has other meanings as well. I’m still looking for a good Hawaiian dictionary.

Nohea (lovely). Great app! Helps teach the Hawaiian language!!!!

Nice Concept, Mediocre Product. It's a nice concept, but honestly quite mediocre. It doesn't know many words except for the basics, like months and colors--simple things which one could easily find online in a flash. Also, if you do decide "Well, it's free... I'm getting it anyway," DON'T even bother with the pronunciation add-on unless you are completely lost when it comes to actually saying the word--it's merely a computerized voice pronuoncing the word one syllable at a time. Hope that helps!

How's it?. Ok, so I want to share with everyone that is having an issue with the audio portion if this app. If you make the effort to learn the enunciation of the 5vowels, and the 7consenants. Then you will have a better idea of its proper pronunciation...as in any language, getting familiar with the sounding of the alphabet, and the vowels is the first key to learning how to say the words correctly. I am Hawaiian, and that's how I learned the correct way to enunciate the proper way! This app as a whole is very informative!

Not comprehensive - disappointed. Several commonly used words that locals use are not in this app. For example Ku'u (beloved) is widely used in names- not in here. Hula which means dance is not here. For Dance the app uses Ha'a (not hula). A Kumu Hula (properly translated by the app as master or teacher) would be very disappointed 'Home' a Hawaiian word in the Title of a very popular song (Ku'u Home o Kahalu'u) is not here, nor is 'holo holo' (to walk around or explore) is not here. Further, for those words that are present the translations are different to what most locals use. For example, the example used by the app 'hoku' is usually know as "Star" but it translates it as "Night of the full moon". Loosely it can be 'light from the heavens' but the narrow choice of full moon light could mislead. I rarely have time to rate apps, so I am not a typical 'e-complainer', yet I felt I must disagree with the high rating. I'm going back to the books that my Kumu always recommended until someone develops a Hawaiian Language app that is app propo :) Aloha & Mahalo, 15 years kama'aina (not just 'familiar' but local), TBoneTravels

Can't use unless you pay. It was suggested to me that to keep my older brain working, to try learning a new language. Both my mom and uncle had dementia before they passed so it's been a fear that I'll get it too. I happen to be at the age where people start forgetting things but for me, it could mean much more than just aging. Anyway, I decided I wanted to learn Hawaiian because it's such a beautiful language, so downloaded this app. I can't use it unless I buy packs. That's so disappointing, especially as it's one of only two free apps.

Fun app. Nice to hear the words as well as see them

Had some glitches. I like the app for the most part, but it does have some glitches. Namely the audio glitch. Every time I attempt to play audio, I receive an error message. If I press the audio button a second time it usually plays… Not always. Searching for Hawaiian words using the okina is problematic. I’ve tried using both the Hawaiian and English keyboard and nine times out of 10 the word does not appear. I have to manually search by scrolling to find the word I’m looking for. There are many words the dictionary doesn’t contain, but I refernece my hardcover dictionary in those cases. Mainly I am using this app for pronunciation, so audio is extremely important to me. For the record, I have the full paid version. There are also some major words missing. Like the articles A and THE (He and Ka). Or the hysterical sweet potato (ʻuala) which is translated kweeki pokako. That’s not even a real translation. For the price I paid, I’m a bit dismayed.

Word of the Day. The translation feature is pretty much what one would expect, and the free rules of pronunciation are very helpful & simple. The best part is the Word of the Day feature! It's like a countdown to holiday time each time a new word pops up on my phone. Some of the word choices seem a little strange but that only adds to the exotic feel of adventure.

My experience with this app. For basic Hawaiian single words it works and it'll get you by. You have to go to another app for names and such which is fine. I use this app pretty well and enjoy the background music. Word to the wise, if you combine some words they mean something else so look for another app if that's what you are trying to do

Pretty good. I am able to learn a lot of Hawaiian words but I don’t know if I’m pronouncing them right because I thought this was a free app but you have to pay to be able to listen to the pronunciation

Do not install. This app is a joke. Nothing works on it. Do not waste your time

Good for translation. This app is great for simple and easy to use translation. But the pronunciation feature is terrible. For Mahalo is says “ah” for aloha it says “ah .. oh ... ah”. For ‘ae, which should be something like ay. It says ah - ee.

Very helpful and fun. This is a great way to learn words in Hawaiian. They also have an app for translating names. We used this quite a bit on our family vacation. This was helpful and fun! Thank you for this app!

Audio. Audio is terrible. I would advise getting a real Hawaiian language person to speak the words properly.

Happy to Learn. The Hawaiian Language is Powerful. You speak it from the abdomen, where deep breathing is centered. Vowels are the backbone of it, with limited consonants reinforcing the entire structure. Accentuation & Intonation are key to proper Punctuation, and as certain words and sub-words have myriad meaning, the ʻŌlelo can be very confusing to ones who haven't lived here. As a local haole who was conceived here, born in the Mainland, & brought back as a three month old, I should be able to speak Hawaiian fluently. But success is commensurate with effort and consistency. Knowing the fundamentals and having a solid foundation is paramount. I look at the app as a vocabulary guide: I cannot afford to purchase the add-ons, but I have a Hawaiian dictionary, am looking for a usage guide, and have the advantage of living here! If don't know something, "no be shame" to ask someone who does! Understanding pidgin English is also an important tool in comprehending Hawaiian usage. If you can't attend Hawaiian language Immersion classes, talk story with the locals. Show no fear, be yourself, and you will normally receive Aloha. And if you don't, no be discouraged: keep trying until you connect with people who have It!!

Several short-comings.... Very limited dictionary, poor sorting in lookup lists, even main translate page functionality is not clear...needs a lot of work.

No daily word. Ever since I updated my phone to iOS 13, there’s been no daily word. Hopefully you’re trying to update your app in order to catch up.

i want my money back!. get a person who actually speaks hawaiian doing the pronunciation!! dont buy this app.. it is a robot voice

Really fun app. This app is super fun, between the sound of the ocean on the app and receiving the words as notifications every day. There is also a huge word bank so you will be pleased with the variety of words. The app is not made to verse someone in the language toward fluency, it's a fun app and it's engaging I find. If you are someone interested in language it's really a treat.

Aloha Ed. This does not translate the most basic and simplest of Hawaiian words. Like “kokua”

Not a good app. Look for something else. This app has been a boring adventure. You can google words you need. Plus in Hawaii they speak English lol.

Hawaiian is amazing. I LOVE THIS APP i’ve always wanted to learn Hawaiian & this app helps me with that✨🌊☀️

Traveller from oz. Great app. Will make it fun to converse when we go to Hawaii in november.

Pretty good. Useful for traveling to assist with pronunciation of words.

Very helpful!. Love the ukulele music too!

Rubbish. It's an electronic voice saying the words, which doesn't help at all! And you can't look up sentences or phrases. What's the point!!

Hawaiian words. Love to learn a new word daily

When in Hawaii. Knowing a few words is a great way to feel at home and enjoy the Hawaiian culture. I have had a lot of fun with this app.

great little app. it is a great little app to get you started with a bit if the Hawaiian language and pronunciation.

Fun. A fun app to have, makes me want to go back to Hawai'i

Great app!. A fun way to learn a new language. Really enjoy receiving the word of the day!

Super great app. Absolutely live it!

Nui. Love it. Lots of fun

Kala. It's a really great app

perfect. so useful and so fun! i love the music it plays when you open the app and i love the word of the day notifications... mahalo

Pretty good. It would be nice if you added some notes about Hawaiian grammar (you can't speak a language properly without grammar).

Love it!!!!!!. So much fun! Hawaii is like my second home and I love learning the native tongue.

Love it!!!. I have been to Hawaii and I just love the State. Wish I could move to Hawaii. I'm from Canada, eh!! 🌴😎

Amakina!!! In other words .. Amazing! Love the ukulele touch!. Amakina!!! In other words .. Amazing! Love the ukulele touch!

Awesome. It's awesome

Love the language!!. Super helpful to learn the pronunciation of Hawaiian 🌺language

Great App. Very handy to have

Awesome!. perf

Mahalo for the app!. Love it!! From Montréal to Hawaii back and foward! Aloha🌺

Awesome. This game is awesome

I love it. I may never truly speak Hawaiian, but this makes it fun!

excellent. Very pleased with this app!

Great!. Found it very helpful

Fun. I love it

Mahalo for the music too .. :)

🌺. Awesome!

A. Not as many words as I thought

Won't install. It won't install

Pretty fun. I like the word of the day, I keep a running list of them because for some reason I think I might be able to learn them over time. Good for a little fun, though it cannot help you translate sentences. Some words don't translate at all, perhaps there is no Hawai'ian word for them? I would love it if the music playing wasn't just the same song every time. I suppose it's ok as this is not a music app and only a perk to have playing in the background. When I receive the notification for my word of the day it does not go away until after I have opened the app AND gone through some of the features of the app. I find that a little strange but for a girl who loves to have a daily reminder of her favourite place on earth the app is lovely.

Wrangler Soort. Awesome

Daily Hawaiian. Over time, I think that practicing the way things should sound makes one better at reading Hawaiian words properly, even when not using the app.

Great quick reference tool!. When I just can't find the Hawaiian word for something, this is the best quick reference tool!

Love it!. This app is a blast! Hawaiian word of the day is so great, and I love the background sounds of waves and ukulele music. No tech issues encountered so far, and the app isn't constantly being updated like other apps I have. Chill out, and learn some Hawaiian Words!

Awesome. Although it doesn't have some words, It's still better than all the others, and it's better than any website I've found 😃 5 stars

Awesome. I grew up in Hawaii but only picked up a few Hawaiian words here & there. Now I can look up any word I want. I also have the one for names. Use these apps a lot.

I Really Enjoy This App. This is a great app for entertaining. I have use this little for looking some words and it's been great. Some words there was nothing for it and I believe its because their is no word for it in Hawaiian.

Fun, but occasionally annoying.. It's fun to get a word a day even if it's somewhat silly at times. I kid you not, once it was "the Hawaiin word for Ukelele is Ukelele." Wow! Who'd have guessed??? The only downside is the annoying music. Using the app in public can be embarrassing with the music. You can turn it off but it wasn't very intuitive and sometimes it just randomly turns on again.

Love it.. The only thing is that there are still ads after buying the bundle. Other than that, this is the best Hawaiian language app I've seen!

Good App. I like the search for either Hawaiian to English , English to Hawaiian where partial letters can be given. I may be listening to a Hawaiian song, and the app cuts to sound disabling the other app from playing the song. I use it more as a translation dictionary. Overall it's really good. Thanks

Great app. I live in Hawaii and have picked up many words on my own. This app is a perfect way to learn about the culture and to learn words and phrases beyond what Ive picked up. Sure the voice pronunciation is a bit robotic but it gives me a starting point to help me learn a beautiful language and culture of very beautiful people. Adding the Hawaiian language iphone keyboard helps as well. Hawaii no ka oi!

Mahalo. I really like the daily word given in this app. It's lots of fun and I also enjoy being able to hear the words.

Hawaiian Words. I started learning Hawaiian even before moving here and I find this app a nice way to augment that learning process. It's neat to find a different word everyday. Some I know already but there is an abundance that is new

Love it! But I wish... I wish It had Hawaiian phrases that are English but commonly said so we could get to know the lingo! Like howz it and ho and cousin and things like that. Otherwise great!:) love the music! Wish it had the audio included.

I was feeling homesick. Awesome app and I couldnt ask for more! Ive been in a Texas for 6 months now and the Hawaiian culture is what I miss the most! My roots will always be strong and this app helps. Thank you, so much

Da Kine. I visit Hawaii for business every three months and knowing a little of the local language shows respect. This app gets you the typical words with definition that gets you a head start without having to buy a book. Definitely something for those wanting to learn the basics.

Aloha!. My husband and I visit Hawaii nearly every year. We love the islands, beautiful scenery and love to learn the culture of the Hawaiian people. We love this app and we learned new words all the time and always hope to put them to good use when we make our visit. It's a great App!

Needs some work. I really like the music and waves in the background, and the translations seem accurate. However, the audio pronunciations are so phonetic they sound robotic, and it's difficult to understand how a true Hawaiian would say them, and how to make the word flow. Also, they should have the translator include full sentences and phrases, not just singular words. Maybe a little more information on Hawaiian culture, too, but good start!

Most useful. On our trip to Hawaii, thus was extremely helpful. Hawaiian is not an easy language to learn and this made us feel comfortable when using the few words we could.

Hawaiian Word. Quite dissatisfied, I have many Hawaiian friends that I have tried to use some of your words on. Embarrassed myself because the meanings we're incorrect information. You also do not have words available that I would like to use as well, so I really don't find it to be of very much help. I'm better off with a true translation of of many languages that does not only a single word be completed paragraphs and texting as well as SPEAK TEXTING!!

Very good dictionary.. The audio voice pronunciation is computer generated and very stilted and not true to the actual pronunciation of the words. With only 1,100 words you could have an actual person pronounce the words accurately.

Fun but needs work. Great app that's easy to use, I love the word of the day. I was a little disappointed with the audio pronunciation being a computer voice, rather than a native Hawaiian speaker. I hope they take the time to record that! Also, the vocabulary is a little limited, but still useful and fun!

For true aficionados of Hawaiian culture. this will be a much-appreciated app. Also worth a look for tourists headed to the Aloha State. Given the fact that the Hawaiian language is used virtually nowhere outside of Hawaii, learning it is of dubious value at best. Still, for what it is, this is perhaps the best app that could be imagined; the music is definitely a nice touch. For serious lovers of all things Hawaiian only.

Love it!!!!. I really love this app because it's quick and easy to use. Also the word for the day is fun so I can constantly be building my Hawaiian language skills. Great job and keep the words coming!

Handy and simple app!. It has solid basic features and the daily word notifications are a nice touch.

Nani. Having fun getting my word each day. Its silly but I'm having fun with it. Not sure what happened yesterday or today. I didn't receive a word. It was the weekend so maybe it only works during the week.

Fun app. I really enjoy using this app. I especially like the idea of having the option to hear the correct pronunciation of the word.

Love it!. Amazing can't get enough of it! Really teaches the language well and supplies the viewer with much information on thing people need to know to master the language and improve their Hawaiian speech!🍀🌺🌴✌🏽️

Rip off. I downloaded this app to help with my pronunciation in a Hawaiian studies class I am taking. It is awful! It either pronounces the words wrong or leaves off the last syllable. If I did not know how to pronounce any Hawaiian words and followed this app's examples I'd sound like an idiot. There are other issues as well with the search feature, word of the day, translation, etc... Definitely do not recommend.

Love this app. The display opening is welcoming with a soft strumming of the ukulele over the sound of surf only one thing update the complete definition of aloha this word needs the full respect of aloha meaning thanks with the true island blessings aloha

Helpful app. As a resident of Hawaii, I don't speak the language fluently, but this app is helping me learn and use the beautiful Hawaiian language quite well in both written and oral form!

E como Mai.. This is probably the best Hawaiian dictionary app there is. Very handy with spelling and phonetics. I love the Hawaiian word of the day that shows up at noon no matter where you are , hooked up to the web or not.

Good. Ok so I bought the app cause I was goin to Hawaii ! And it works really well ! The only problem was that its voice is really robotic but other than that it tells u what u want to know and gives u hawaiin word notifications every day so u learn a new word everyday ! Over all it's a good app

Terrible👎. Iʻm Hawaiian myself and I know a lot. Most of these words are wrong, the Hawaiian words that are matched with the English words arenʻt even right. The way that the Voice sayʻs some of the words is not even correct. If youʻre going to make an app to teach another language, you should make sure you do some deep research and get everything right before you give everyone false info. Useless app.

Hu'I Hu'I!!!!!. That means cool. Im 12 years old and I'm going to Hawaii for college so I thought that it might be cool to learn Hawaiian. I actually admitted my feelings for my crush today in Hawaiian, so , of course, he didn't understand a word I said. What a relief!: 3

Great!. I love this app! The only thing is It doesn't do full sentences and sometimes the word isn't available, but other than that, I've learned a lot ^^

Hawaiian Daily Words. Excellent way to learn the meaning of common words that we see or hear about in HI. Glad to see this app. on my iPhone. It's a pleasant way to begin my day with a new Hawaiian word.

Amazing. This App really helped me. I like a hawaiin boy and I'm learning all about his culture and language !and he is really impressed .this app is great and very accurate and has great music in the background!!!

Love it!. I love this app! I just recently moved to hawaii and it's really convenient when I wanna translate a word :) the only thing I wish is that we could hear the word without purchasing. But other than that, great app

Meh. Got the app and purchased the 'play audio' portion. Not impressed. It is a robotic play back that is so unnatural that you will have no good idea how to pronounce the words. The playback would be much more helpful if it also played the word at a natural speed so you had some idea what the word really sounded like. Other than that, it was fun to look at and get ready for a trip to Hawaii. If you get the app you will still sound like a Haole.

Fab. this app is awesome because I am in love with the music it plays. LITERALLY I LISTEN TO IT EVERY NIGHT WHILE FALLING ASLEEP! your app doesn't have all of the words I'd like to know but I'm grateful for the ones I have! thanks for the app and I rate it a 4 just because you don't have ALL the words which is annoying at times but yeah! I still love this app and the names one too! PLUS I AM IN LOVE WITH HAWAII so now I can learn some words in the language 😊 ALOHA 🍍🌊🌴

Limited vocabulary and translation. As a basic app, this is OK, but needs a much larger list of words and better two-way translation capabilities. The "word of the day" feature is a plus, but the words should come with example usage in context and notations as to the type of word (noun, verb, etc. or their Hawai'ian equivalent usage pattern). For example, "clean" (ma'ema'e): is it used as "Ma'ema'e the dishes, already!" or "These dishes are ma'ema'e"? (These would preferably be given in full 'olelo Hawai'i usage examples.)

Asking me to repurchase the add-on. I really loved this App! I updated the App and went to use it like I end up doing most everyday and when I hit the pronunciation speaker it asks me if I wanted to purchase just the audio pack or the bundle. I already purchased the bundle and I know the rich native Hawaiian language hasn't sprung up any new words in the last 2 months. I'm frustrated.

Aloha. App seems to work well enough and will help grandchildren learn enough Hawaiian words to be polite when they visit the 50th state. Sometimes the pronunciation is a bit difficult to understand and a little questionable. All in all, it's a fairly helpful app.

Love It. I listen to the background music every night. But I believe some of the words are wrong, don't hold me to it but I still believe some words are wrong.

Great app ever. I absolutely love this app for 2 reasons and the first reason is: for once I actually know how to speak Hawaiian words and the last reason is: I can finally speak to one of my friends that only speak Hawaiian. And that is why I love this app!!!!!!!!!!

Not very good. I get notifications everyday and when I open the app it takes me to a page with nothing on it. I'd have to type something in to get a description, so I'm not sure what the notification is for. Hawaiianize doesn't work unless you buy it. All in all not too happy with the app. I open it mainly to hear the peaceful wave music.

Need to Pay for Things. I love trying to get words from English to Hawaiian, but if you have a unique name/word, you have to Hawaiianize it...and that Cost money. Plus, sound cost money. So you may be wrong when pronouncing a word. I guess 3 stars since it lacks of 2 things because of cost

Very helpful. My dad was born is Hawaii so I have part Hawaiian In my blood. But I live with my mom so I don't know much about his past so I decided I learn about some Hawaiian words before I start off with some history. When I searched this app up I found this very helpful, I recommend this app to everybody.

In love!. I absolutely love this app! The Hawaiian culture interests me so much and even the music of the app i adore! I just recently visited Hawaii and am going back in the summer of 2014. I am hoping to brush up on the language in the meantime;)

Not comprehensive enough. Just purchased because I didn't want annoying ads. I am disappointed with the lack of definitions of Hawai'ian words and its proper meaning. I am not Hawai'ian but have lived their for several years. I know some of the words and I have found that the definitions are not always the best; some don't have the idioms which can be helpful. You should do an update and add more words and its correct definitions.

Love it. I absolutely love this app, I just wish I had found it when I was living out on Maui but I'll still use it anyways. I love the Hawaiian language and this app will help me understand it more and to learn how to pronounce the words.. And when I go back to visit my local Hawaiian friends they will be shocked.
