Excellent News App. I rarely write reviews anymore - but this app has changes my news reading habits. Simple to set up, and a wider range of news feeds available than any of the other 9 news apps I already had on my iPhone. Faster at updating feeds, and no crashes or bugs that I've encountered. Maybe there is room for improvement (the AP feed seems to deliver HTML header information that is meant to be hidden), but its the best in the App Store, and deserves 5 stars.

Great News App. Best news app I have found. I love that you can have news from around the world. My husband loves the German news as that is where he is originally from. It helps him retain the German language which he struggles with from using English for so many years. When he calls his relatives in Germany he can talk about news from their country and in their publications. For news junkies I highly recommend this app as you can have news from so many different sources. It's great that you can tailor it to your interests.

Great concept but just buggy.. Blank windows pop up on the bottom. Certain news sources freeze the screen. There is so much potential and lack of attention to detail.

Tab back to original article. This is a good app for the quick news. When you do pull up an article and click one of the links you can't get back to the original article. Hopefully this can be fixed unless I'm missing something.

Quick and informative news. I don't care for most news stations on TV today, so this is the best way I know how to keep up with the news!

Stop Crashing. Well I didn't know if it was a legit app at first because there weren't any reviews but I downloaded it so hopefully it doesn't destroy my phone. However the interface is really creative and easy to read. Its exactly what I was looking for. I'm a super busy student & don't have time to search for news online, i like that it gives multiple news sources. The only problem I'm having is keeping the app up long enough to read. Every time I click on it, it crashes within like 4- 5 seconds. It's really annoying. So if you fix the bugs then it will definitely get 5 stars.

Need improvement. I should say I do like this because this an one in all app, while the question is, the notification for economist is quite new but when I run the app, all the news is days old. I can't even find the story showing in the notification

Great Rss Feed Reader!. No special accounts! And it works really, really well. I got this app because I needed something to read my hobby RSS feeds. It works great for that. The news feature is just a great bonus. Lots of countries, lots of news organizations. Highly recommended.

Brilliant!. This is the absolute best way to get the best of news, politics, sports, entertainment headlines and stories from across the country and around the world. Plus the RSS feed reader is easy to use and quite accessible.

Pretty good, almost great. I needed something to open RSS feeds from mobile Safari while my favorite app, Reeder, adjusts to the Google Reader situation. This one is the best I've found so far, after trying a few others. It displays the full article well, and doesn't put too much chrome around it. It is also nice to be able to add new feeds right in the app. Thank you! On other side, for me, News lacks a few user interface features and the polish of Reeder, so I'll probably switch back if Reeder becomes a standalone RSS reader. The paid version of News has no ads, so it's well worth the 99c. Who wants ads in their feed, especially if the original site has none?

RSS Reader Well done!. Just a very well done RSS reader. Looks nice and what I really like is the auto selection of RSS sources. If you like reading about tech Just pick the select all under add sources section an you get a great selection of tech feeds. Very nice!!

Best News App. I looked at nearly all new apps in the App Store. This app is my favorite. I love the look, and rss feel. Very smooth feeling, and the app makes it very easy to share with other apps.

great app. ive been using this app for at least six months ... easy use ... can email words you want to study with dictionary definitions to yourself as you read a french newspaper and change between newspaper and dictionary with ease ... i loose sound to the speaker and that is rectified when i wear ear phones ... i would highly recommend the app even with audio problems ...

Good. This is a pretty nice news app with one caveat. If you have several different news feeds, it occasionally loses the buttons to select one feed or the other. One of the things that I like about it is that you don't need Google reader which is going to be ending soon.

App is quirky!. I downloaded the freeby and it kept shutting down so purchased the new one and still can't get it to work right. Would like to get all my news in one place but this still needs work.

Good news aggregator. I think this app does a good job. Room for improvement - better duplicate removal, better ability to share with friends. But for free, it rocks. I don't understand the 2-star average rating, it's better than that.

Likes to Crash. I actually like the app, it's different. However, in the last 30 minutes, it has crashed 5 times and I'm not doing anything except surfing the news which is what's it's for. I hope you fix the crashes and I like you offer Newsvine in the app.

Needs opinion pages. This app dissappointed me. It would earn more stars if it had the option of opinion pages. Also , loading of some content is clunky-- takes multiple tries to get the entire article. Three stars may too many-- more like 2.5.

Many news stories. A flood of news stories, almost too many. Hard to pick which story to read or to scan or organize which to choose. But a host of up to date articles!.

Personal mix of news. News let's me pick & choose from what's interesting to me. If I get bored with a topic or news source it's easy to change.

No nonsense news. Great way to collect a wide range of news and info. But, if you lose cell service, even temporarily, there's an annoying popup for each feed that tells you you aren't connected.

So Far So Good. I haven't experienced any download or freezing issues. No one reports what device they are using. I am using iPhone 4S with Verizon. Love that I get to choose news agencies, topics, and subtropics. News updates continually and that is what I am looking for. I hope you can fix the bugs for other users.

Excellent!. This app is great for news junkies. I enjoy quickly reviewing news from around the world targeted just to my wide-ranging interests. (I read in English, German and French). Great App!!. Great app for top news of your choice. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of news from some sources like "Barron's" only gives you headliners without paying for subscription. I understand they need to make money but its a waste to add them unless you pay.

Finally one for all. I am new to apple products and the world of apps and was about to give up on trying to read the news because every paper I wanted to read wanted a subscription fee. Not with this app. It has the biggest names in the newspaper industry and allows you to choose what you want to read. Pick the sports section from MSNBC, the World news from CNN, Top Stories from NYtimes, Travel from LA Times, entertainment from E! all for free all to one location. Top notch app very easy to navigate and does what it says it does. Highly recommend.

News from several perspectives. The app gives you the capability to get international perspectives of news stories. Every country/government/press puts their own slant on the articles they publish. It's great to all the different 'style'.

crashes contantly. This app allowed me to add a number of feeds, and worked once. Today, it does not work at all. When I started the app, there was nothing displayed, even though I added a number of feeds yesterday. I tapped the + icon, and a number of stories appeared, but then the application crashed and it hasn't worked since. There are no settings in the "Settings" app for iPad, and there doesn't seem to be a way to export your feeds, so you need to set it up on each device. I'm close to asking for my $.99 back.

The best news app. This app is the best news aggregation app I've used on a phone ... I use it daily to catch up quickly. It's a go-to app for me every day.

My Go-To App For All Things News!. I've tried a number of apps designed for this purpose, and this is by far my favorite. It's fast, simple and easily configured. It's the first app I refer to in the morning and the last one I run at night before bed. Great job!

A good app in concept, but it crashes frequently.. I couldn't even get through adding all the feeds I wanted without it crashing a dozen times or so, sometimes as soon as I opened it up. A good selection of news feeds from around the world plus the ability to add custom feeds makes me want to use this app, but they need to fix the horrendous stability issues first.

Be careful.. Great app but if you are not a Facebook user like me be careful not to tap the "f" at top left corner. It brings up the Facebook log in and the only way I could rid of it was to delete the ap and reinstall. Not everyone uses Facebook. Other than that best news ap I have.

Pretty disappointing half a star.. I was looking for an app for a bespoke news point. I.e. Away from the Murdoch Press. This App only works off RSS feeds and independent news sites don't seem to use these. Pretty useless really. Not much different from Google News in fact.

Great App. Can't believe that I have access to daily newspapers from all over the world at my fingertips! .99c is such incredible value for money! My iPhone is becoming more and more essential!! No problems yet but I've not had the app for long.

Great News. If you love keeping up to date with the news as I do, this News app is a must! Afterglow, 99 cents is a small price to pay for an app that allows you to pick the genre' you want to be informed of, when it happens, without having to sift through entire websites. In addition, you can select which countries news stories, or actual print editions from all around the globe that you find most entertaining to attach to your own news app. Therefore, if you want political stories, or an endless supply of trash mags, this app is a no-brainer!

Just downloaded. This is a new app for me but so far I have found it easy to use and am looking forward to reading the wide variety of recourses it has on offer.

Great app. I used to read boring MX newspaper on the train but now I can read a lot of newspapers around the world in this single app. This app is easy to use and I even can share interesting articles with friends on Facebook. To people who find the beeps annoyed, you can turn off the sound in the Settings. Highly recommended!

Paid version worth the $0.99. Definitely worthwhile paying $0.99 for full version and having unlimited feeds. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is sometimes the app doesn't download stories if I am not connected to my wifi network. I'm connected to 3G and it says, "cannot connect to the Internet". If this is fixed its definitely a 5 star news app

Best ap for Australian news. Easy interface allows access to news from major papers in Australia and overseas. My only real issue is the instability as it crashes quite frequently, otherwise I'd give it 5 stars

Good when it works. A good app when it functions properly but I've been having problems when my reading is interrupted by the app crashing or by error messages about feeds being missing, even though I'm currently reading the feed. If the problems are sorted out, it might be a consistently very good app, but at the moment, it's barely useable.

Fantastic App. So much written news, pictures, videos from all around the world on so many different topics. I'm very happy with the free app & just today purchased the pro version for a very small sum ($2.29 Canadian) considering all of the content.

Free works paid not working at all!!!. I just purchased the paid version for my XS Max and it doesn’t work at all!! It’s not even updated to use the full screen of the XS Max and you can’t see any news at all or even add any. I want a full refund!

Some good features, needs work.. I like the ease of subscribing to feeds. It does not need to give a pop up every time it fails to find a network connection, just not refreshing would be far less disruptive than a bunch of notifications I have to dismiss. It could have background app updating ability; like a lot of other apps I do not want it updating and adding stories in the middle of a list I am trying to read. And do I really need to click through 3 or 4 levels of story beginnings and "read whole article" links to read a whole article?

nice app when it works.. This app is great when it works. Unfortunately shortly after using it I can no longer choose the news from various countries. Without this feature the app is useless IMO. I removed the program and re-installed but the issue is the same. I am using the pay for version - not impressed considering I paid for it. The app offers no methods to troubleshoot the issue.

No news is not good news. Good concept. Poor execution. I can no longer read full stories. All I get is a spinning wheel.

Excellent Selection. With other news apps you get the feeds they choose. This app lets you choose the exact feeds by country, then by news source, then by section (business, local news, etc). So if all you want is UK sports, that's what you can select. The free version limits the total number of feeds at once, the Pro version (99 cents) has no limit. It's easy to change the news feeds too. I really like this app.

Disappointing Uodate. Loved this app up until the most recent update. Now it loads less quickly and usually freezes after I open one or two news items, which is sending me to other news apps that I used to pass in favour of this one. Wonder if there is a remedy?

Crap. Your app is unstable and crashes. I have reloaded it five or six times but it still will not work. It crashes when loading pages and when you can add content it crashes when you try to use it. Your last "fix " did nothing.

Loses custom feeds. Love the interface but hate the way that it loses my custom feeds at least 3 times a week. If this app were more stable, it would easily be a 5.

Good bug fix. Back to GR8 App.. Yea! The iPad bug is fixed! I have tested 7 rss news apps and chose this app for both my IPhone & iPad mini. The Savy Soda RSS News app is now BACK to be my favorite app of its kind. Good effort by the developer after 3 quick update tweaks. User Tip: use a pull-down gesture on the iPad left column to refresh the stories and icons. =RECOMMENDING=ONCE=MORE= Tested 16 times in 8 days.

Disappointed. Does not show more than one custom feed, even though several are set up. Emailed developer for advice....no response. Please fix problems.
