The Epitome Of Education. Never have I ever realized just HOW helpful Sal aspires to be. It truly amazes me how Mr. Khan WANTS this generation to succeed. Education is SUCH a big deal, but the most important thing is to UNDERSTAND what is in the education you are being given. Not only does Khan Academy provide you with examples, ways to work out a problem, and their own insight, but they also provide you with a way of how to apply this knowledge they are teaching you to the real world. Calculus and everything else is not BORING. There is a real use to everything. Nothing is meaningless in education. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have all these new PLANETS AND MACHINES AND SATELLITES AND EVERYTHING. All these scientists finding out NEW things. Everything has a use. It’s people like this that inspire me to go forward with my studies because we all struggle and we’re all trying to “GET IT”. I’m sure Mr. Khan himself can relate to that because there’s always someone who needs further help and explanation, but they will eventually GET IT.

Just like KA on the computer, but with some cons. Khan Academy is great. Truly amazing app. All my subjects were synced, everything was exactly like on the website. The only thing that was really bad is the drawing features, the ones on the problems that help you solve the problem on the problem itself. The first line drawn is smooth and nice, but after that there is extreme lag, and the lines are all choppy and impossible to write numbers with. It takes about 10 seconds to write a single number if I want it to be legible. (I am using the Apple Pencil) In the drawing mode, it also takes away the problem. If there was a diagram there that I wanted to mark up in order to help me with the problem, it disappears. This is a pretty big thing for me, especially if Khan Academy doesn’t work with split screen. I cannot work on the app itself, a big bummer. Besides that, it is Khan Academy. Tons of great courses with great teaching and a great experience.

Best app! Needs some features. Computer has alot of stuff, but I want some more stuff including surprise me and bookmarks. Mobile computer needs more content that’s playable and scrollable. Can you also bring some old badges back by coding in new scripts? Basically I never had done old more popular badges and missions as I just joined in December or November. You don’t have to permanently remove them. Next, why can’t we do. the ELA version in mobile? It’s easy coding and is less complex than Pixar in a Box. Just watch out for storage. There should be harder questions as those are really easy. The amount of badges you can get is limited to tweens (sorry 7-9 year olds, we will include you guys also) and can’t do so much… in the 6th or 7th, you gain more maturity. In that case we should put it down to 11 or 12, it’ll make the 6th or 7th happier, a win! There should be more languages and more features to foreign languages. I’d recommend to return Da Vinci as it’s another encouraging badge of 500 mastery exercises. They should also add the Herculean badges as a new official badge + a rebirth including more complex subjects (like 10th grade ela and topology) so the victories of the others could be just the start. Each rebirth adds new courses up to 5 rebirths. They should also add foreign language courses (better than duolingo) to help as Khan Academy only can apply the languages you learn by changing. That’s all

Good Information, when I can access it that is. The information available for free is truly amazing, when I can access it. I either got a buggy version, or maybe something else is the issue, but I have trouble doing more than one lesson—and sometimes not even that much—before I get a pop up window saying there has been an error processing my action, every time I try to do more than one question in a practice lesson. I can watch videos but as soon as I try to do either the practice or the mastery lessons, or the challenges, nothing will move forward. I know it isn’t my internet connection, and I’ve updated the app consistently when the app updates come around. I’d like to find a way for this to be fixed, as I looked forward to learning things throughout my day in doses. A+ information, I just can’t access it most the time. I would love to give 4 or 5 stars to the app, but it doesn’t hardly ever let me practice.

More options. First I want to say that I love the whole idea of Kahn academy, it’s really great. I’d just like to see more options as far as subjects themselves, and maybe even different teachers for each subject so that you have different styles of teaching in order to get more people to learn. I say this because my daughter had said that she just has trouble following and listening to the person talking and how they teach. I realized that there are lots of people that feel the same way, everyone is different and learns different so having other ways to learn for those people would be extremely helpful. Different teachers have different teaching styles. Just a suggestion, and one other thing I can think of is to make it so that you can cast a video to the tv if wanted. Especially for longer lecture style lessons.

I wonder why it’s a editor choice app!. Okay this app is beyond amazing and helpful! I been using this program since I was eight years old to now. I’m certainly fourteen and this program is best to use when I’m having trouble. I’ve made an account about a year ago because I did not have a official yet. I been using it for a short period because I only used it when given an assignment or when my teachers weren’t making any sense. Point is when I found out there was an app I was very excited because now I get to use it to my advantage. Since the Corona virus is spreading it has been putting my school on a stay home. My teachers have to relay on me doing the school work at home having to learn, study, and prepare for my Exams at home. And having to catch up by myself and not getting behind online and dealing with what’s going on right now is going to be stressful. But knowing I have this app will save lots of time thank you plan on using this until I’m in college!

This app is the best learning tool ever!!. As someone who has a Bachelor’s Degree and has been using the Khan Academy app of my own accord; I can say that this is one of the best things I have stumbled on in my academic life. There were so many holes in my understanding of SO many subjects (and I am talking about subjects that go all the way back to skills at the elementary level). I am the type of person that likes to know everything about everything, and that translates into my learning. The injustice of my grade school education was that I was taught skills, but pushed through the “cattle-car” of public education where no one would teach me: WHY I learned those skills, and WHAT are there practical applications in the real world. I was always told: just learn it because. NOW, thanks to Khan Academy, I have been able to go back and allow Sal to teach me ALL of those interesting details that I missed and also sharpen my skills in the areas that I needed improvement in. I cannot thank Sal Khan and everyone at Khan Academy enough for this resource. I have the certainty that I will not be the only one using it to try to better myself in my education; so that I can take those skills and use them to make the world a better place. Thank you to all who make Khan Academy possible!

Great Education, some problems with new update. First of all, Khan Academy is a great app for learning. This is what makes me give it five stars. I appreciate that I don’t have to pay and have a plethora of interesting things to learn about. This is also really cool for maybe second-world countries, for people that can afford a cheap-ish device but not an education. The new update removed the feature where you would have to ace every test, including the unit test, perfectly in order to get to Level 5 and be done with that unit. It was hard to get 100 percent sometimes, but it really pushed me to learn and do my best. Now, there is no level feature and it makes me feel like it’s a little harder to navigate what you need to work on. I still appreciate the videos and exercises, but i thought the level feature was the cherry on top. Bring it back?

Best app for learning difficult subjects. I’m currently working towards my second doctorate and all along the way khan academy has been there for me. Whether you’re using it as a stand-alone learning tool to try and wrap your head around a difficult subject, or need something more user-friendly and understandable to supplement an actual formal course, you couldn’t ask for anything better than khan academy. Their instructors are adept at making even some of the most complicated subjects with high attrition rates relatively easy to understand and breaking things down into short lessons that teach you concepts (or intuitions as Sal would call them!) which make learning the smaller details much easier. I’ll often watch a few khan academy videos to get a good general idea of what a subject is about before diving into the bullet points and materials (PowerPoints, textbooks, etc) offered by my formal professors in courses, and I’ve found this to be very effective in my own learning journey. As someone who has taken A LOT of college courses in my life, I couldn’t more highly recommend khan academy.

Looking for a Developer Response. Pretty good app. I am giving it five stars, even though a recent update put everything in deeper layers. I used to be able to see every video, article, and practice exercise for a course, plus its mission if it has one, on the same screen. Now I have to dig deeper. Please return an expanded view to us! Also, we no longer see our consecutive days streak. The iPad app is missing a few things found in the web version, in addition to the consecutive days streak, but it is quite adequate for the learning experience. The most maddening thing is that when you roll out a new version with a major change like this, you still say “Bug fixes and performance enhancements.” Please give this review a Developer Response and let us know that you will {in the future/in future} be detailed with your updates when something major like the whole interface changes. Also, please let us know why the consecutive days counter (more motivating to me than energy points and about as motivating as the badges) was removed and if there’s a chance we can get it back. Thanks!

it is amazing. Khan Academy is so amazing. It has helped me with boosting my scores and my mom is getting it for my siblings too. My siblings are pretty young and my mom would like them to get in to a habit of doing Khan Academy so there scores will be high. It was not just me and my family who noticed a difference, my teachers have as well. My best friend is really good at everything in school and she is doing ot as well. It is a great substitute for summer school. It takes up less time and helps so much. I watch a (couple) video(s) a day and do a couple lessons. The people in the videos have really helped me learn a lot. For example, before I did Khan Academy I couldn’t spell very good or even do very good in math and my sentences didn’t make sense when I was writing stories. Now I know how to use proper punctuation, grammar, and spelling. It has helped me grow so much through academics. So thank you so much Khan Academy for helping me learn, and understand things. It helped me boost my scores. And become much better at school.

Great app but a minor complaint. This is a great application, and it costs you absolutely nothing. However, if you are going to delve into Multivariable Calculus or other subjects that require you to use “special” characters such as Euler’s number e, which they use often, to enter your answers to the posed problems in the practice, then good luck trying to enter it. For instance, if you are asked to find the gradient of a function f(x y z) = y^2*z +e^x Then it will be . There is no button for the number e to be found, so how can one enter the answer? You can’t! That is only one example of something that needs to be addressed. Your answer is marked as completely incorrect all because because they didn’t provide you with the means to enter the correct answer correctly. There is no way to simply type the number e on the provided keyboard that pops up. I searched and searched their help files, but that was to no avail. I tried to copy and paste it from another keyboard, and that proved futile as well. This is the ONLY reason that I didn’t give this five stars!! There is a lot that one can learn from Khan Academy, and please get me wrong. I love this app and have used it for years. I have donated to their funding drives, and if you use it, then you should consider doing so.

Running into a MAJOR glitch :(. First of all thank you Mr. Kahn! Much love and many blessings. Ok I will be brief... When either using the touchscreen on my iPad Pro (updated OS, no beta) or my professional desktop Bluetooth mouse there seems to be an input issue pertaining to utilizing interactive diagrams (am currently brushing up on basic Geometry) wherein as one “clicks” or taps upon the green dot to place or create a specific angle the OS gets confused as to whether the user is attempting to move the held line segment, line or ray rather than scrolling the page itself up and down. If the interactive diagram is at the bottom of say a review page then the problem is impossible to solve. Otherwise it’s just horribly frustrating to figure it out. So far have only had this issue on chapter reviews and not on quizzes or tests. Hope the fix is easy (my guess is that changing the ability to scroll up and down in the interactive areas should resolve this issue. Thank’s again!

Wow. This app is so amazing! I got it just the other day and I am stunned on how good it is. I thought that it was not going to help me like other apps and you would have to pay for it but no!! I was wrong you see I am in middle school in sixth grade and I am really bad at math so then I was scrolling through my phone and I saw this app then I downloaded it not thinking anything of it and the after I signed in I was so amazed by how many options there where from Early math review to Ap statistics and I thought there was a catch I mean at some point you have to pay for something right!? Nope wrong again! So my advice is if you have a kid sitting at home bored or you are like me waiting to get better at something you should totally get this game especially if you don’t want to pay for anything!! I think that more learning apps and games should be like this mostly because of this thing called summer learning loss all kids have this if they do not keep up with there skill set from the school year they can forget up to 2 MONTHS OF LEARNING!!

Succeeds where school systems fail. As a 14 year old living in the US, my history and feelings toward school are near-identical to many. It had always affected my mental state in a negative way, and made me feel like there was a chain wrapped around my foot. It slowed me down. Khan Academy did the complete opposite. I’ve used the app consistently through the past two years and have done things I could never dream of in school. I motivated myself to finish 3 years worth of mathematics, and did so in a considerably short amount of time. That was only possible with this app. Where school made me lye my head down on a desk for an hour every day, khan academy helped me learn wherever and whenever I could. The app isn’t perfect, but it’s monumentally better then everything else I’ve seen. Thank you for your time, and thank this app for the time it’s given me.

Great explanations. Easy app.. I use khan academy for chemistry, biology, genetics, physics — all of it. It really is very helpful and clear with the instructions. What I love though, is the ability to speed up videos when I’m reviewing or slow them down and take notes. Also, the video transcript is available which is helpful to read along with, rather than just auditory listening. The app is streamlined and easy to use. Thank you Kahn academy. Also, I encourage you if you enjoy the app, donate like $5, $10 every once in a while. I have gained a greater understanding of hard concepts through khan academy than I have through thousands of dollars in school tuition. $5 or $10 to show my gratitude isn’t a ton to ask for, and I’m happy to do it in order to keep Kahn academy free for everyone. :)

Can’t believe it’s all FREE. I struggle with numbers, in general, and found Khan Academy when I was trying to brush up on mathematics, since I’m training to be a pilot. i found the website first and immediately created an account, and was excited to have an app version as well. The app tracks my progress and offers the next appropriate training when the pre-requisites have been completed. I’m blown away by the diversity of training on offer as well as the quality of the teaching. I’m doing math basics at present, since I missed so much of it when at school, and so appreciate the different ways of teaching that are offered. Thank you Sal Khan, for your vision and determination, and for producing this great app to make all this education accessible to anybody who has an iOS device, and the website for all who have internet access.

Great app with one hilarious bug. This is an amazing app and it helps everyone work on anything they desire at their own level. I am doing high school geometry and it literally covers everything you need to know. I am still in middle school but it easier to see what’s coming and prepare with khan academy, so thanks! The one bug I found though was that if there is any question with multiple answers and if I put the wrong number of answers (correct or not) it would not let me move on because it says ‘please select the correct number of answers’. So it kinda helps me out because I know I either need more or less answers than I already have. Otherwise I haven’t found any bugs other than that so thanks for the amazing app!

Needs improvement. I think there’s so much stuff and challenges and quizzes and videos to help, but it gets really confusing sometimes when there’s so much information thrown at you. In the assignments tab I think you should add important key features, viewing the assignments from due earlier to due later, viewing assignments from highest level like 88% on a practice to 100% on a practice and separating them from videos and practices and everything else. It’s really a pain to scroll all the way to the bottom to see my assignments I didn’t complete since my teachers assign a LOT and I mean A LOT of homework on your app. I decided to rate your app fairly and not biased on we’re I like math or not, but rather the methods to teach and learn math. So there are some highlights. I like that you get hints for every single practice and it must be hard to make all of the detailed word problems. I also like that you can look back into the questions you messed up and learn from those questions.

Sadly Lacks split view 😕. I greatly enjoy Khan Academy the videos and practice work have helped me so much. I was introduced to it as a high school student by our math department. It was used as an alternative to traditional math assignments as it ensures the student is actively learning and can help teachers see where a student may need more help. I choose to keep using Kahn Academy in college as the videos often make more sense than what my professor does in lectures. The MAJOR issue I have come across is that the app cannot be used in split view. This causes a lot of issues for me as I use my iPad for notes. So if I want to have my notability app open it has to be in a tiny floating window that is too small to write in. I have been using the website instead because the app will not allow the split view. PLEASE update the app so I can use it more easily on my iPad with other apps open beside it!!!!

Would be perfect if it weren’t for app-breaking bugs.. The last few updates introduced bugs that make some exercises impossible to complete or progress in, even after resetting the app. 1. Formatting on many math exercises has been completely broken. Numbers and equations are duplicated (for example 11 instead of 1, 3x+23x+2 instead of 3x+2). Font formatting has been broken as well, with some problems being displayed in a mix of large and tiny font. Some multiple choice math problems are impossible to progress through because the answers are not selectable, they are formatted in a side-scrolling table which is clearly not intentional on KA’s side. 2. Inputting answers in math exercises is occasionally bugged. I’ve experienced two different bugs. One causes the keyboard to retract after every button selected, forcing you to tap again and again and input one number at a time. The second bug makes it impossible to scroll left and right on the keyboard without the button you swipe on being inputted in the answer field, forcing you to go back and delete each extraneous number or sign before submitting your answer. 3. Possibly not a bug but still annoying: The “correct answer” and “exercise completed” jingle now takes over the audio on iPhone, pausing whatever music, ebook or podcast you’re listening to. I like to listen to other things while working on KA exercises and it’s frustrating to have to constantly restart whatever I’m listening to when I’m doing exercises.

Great math lessons, terrible history lessons.... I had used this app in the past for math and it was great for that. The history lessons, however, are atrocious. Rather than objectively presenting the facts, it gives a warped view of things. For example, the authors have somehow figured out how people ‘felt’ during history. No citations. No quotes. They just claim that this person/group felt this, that person/group felt that. I find the personal feelings of past figures to be secondary to learning the course of events. But, if they did feel some need to include them, they could at least cite sources or provide quotes. I saw none. It turned what could’ve been a factual history lesson into some subjective mind-reading of the past. All it was really instructing me on was someone’s opinion of what people in the past felt. It wasn’t educational. Not only is there a bias of perspective — today’s opinion of the past may differ greatly from how people in the past actually experienced it. Opinion and feeling are not the point. It’s history, not group therapy. As I said, if you want to include feelings, at least use quotes, cite sources. But, again, that really isn’t the point. History is not about the feelings of one person or even a group of people, it’s about objective events. Sadly, there was so little of that here, I just deleted the app. What a sad thing education has become!

Amazing app. This app is absolutely fantastic and I want to make it clear I gave it 4 stars only because I personally have some things I wished would be added to to make this app better. Like for instance videos that are not drawn out by hand, don’t get me wrong this is a good visual sometimes but sometimes I feel the visual falls kinda short to if it was either animated or demonstrated (specifically for the science lessons especially). That being said I want to be clear, that’s all fine tuning for the perfection of this app. This app has helped me learn soooo much and it’s completely free. Most all of the teachers are excellent and the fact that this is videotaped lectures means you can watch anytime at your own speed. I wished things like this were used more widely and familiarized in my state (not that a lot of people don’t use it already cause they do, I just wished it got pointed to if nothing else more as a sort of in general go to guide among other similar programs by schools and government PSAs more.) but that’s not this apps fault. My hopes is that some elected official somewhere will see this comment and this will give them the idea to make this more second nature for people to pick up somehow via PSAs etc

Bad options. I learn a lot and really appravtoce the no ad opportunities to learn as I’ve taken cal us but almost ten years ago in college as im trying to get into the electricians union. My question to you is how am supposed to give you a 4 to the third power option all over 6x on my phone u do not dive the option when it comes to allowing a lot of adding 4=but with the slag theu the equal sign and all over so how do I answer the question correctly or learn from mistakes if your allowing a mobile option that doesn’t give me a way to answer it properly when o have to type it ? If you reply and there is a way I’ll take this down cus you’ve help a lot with my study but when im forced to clicked to all hints without bn able to type my answer on a smart phone and have to skip a test because there’s no way to type it or skip without losing pts now what do I do ? You tell me ? Thank you

One of the most important apps ever made. This is a tremendous math resource for students from elementary school through graduate school. HUGE room for improvement though for iPad app... 1) have a simple button to report problems with a question. There are several errors I’ve found so far, which are really frustrating. No way to report it easily. Please add this, and only investigate questions that are commonly reported to save you time. 2) fix link to videos that come up with the light bulb... when you click on videos it doesn’t link to the video. Very frustrating, especially for young kids trying to work independently. 3) fix fractions. To write 2 1/2 You should be able to type 2 and then the fraction button to put in the 1/2. On the iPad this is tedious every time to pull up the fractions first and then try to click the right location to put in the 2. Young people may not even be able to figure this out. Not user friendly here. 4) add question and testing content for sciences and not just math. This would be huge for gifted kids, special needs kids and children across the developing world. Okay, pretty much everyone... Please fix these things and this already great FREE app could be much better! Thank you for your hard work on this!!!

It would be nice if they had grade school level courses for science.. When I realized I was struggling to understand the stuff my teacher was teaching. I turned to khan academy, there people are really good at explaining things in clear way along with watching there examples. It helped a lot in every subject except for science. I noticed that khan has both grade/junior high school levels for both reading and math. There history also covers a wide variety of different historical things so it wasn’t that hard to find what I need. But when I went to find something for science. It turned out that it wasn’t very accommodating for people outside of high school and college. Just saying it would be nice if they had grade school level courses for science.

Time Consuming and Unfair Gradinf System. Khan Academy used to be good when the whole system wasn’t broken. Everything is overcomplicated, and requires you to waste hours on what can only be defined as guesswork. The way you MUST type in math answers exactly right with no forgiveness is absolutely disgusting, especially when the whole point is taken off. Is one typo really a reason to drop the grade down a whole point? Especially when my Teacher grades this on a 1-4 scale. One wrong answer drops the grade to a 75%. Ridiculous. The fact that using a hint or watching a video takes off the whole point is also completely unjust. Please consider making the system more tailored to learning through visual processing and not repetition and failure. I hope that this system is fixed and makes it more about learning than catering towards students who already have mastered the material. This is not practice if the student does not already know the material. As a student who has a teacher who relies solely on Khan Academy to teach, I feel absolutely frustrated when spending hours upon hours attempting to beat the system.

Problems with progress. I love the new layout and of course I love Kahn academy. Which is why I gave it three stars. But I’ve gone through course reviews and challenges and keep having to redo because there’s an error saving an exercise. I just tried taking the course challenge and got through all the problems but the last I got an error. So I re-entered the challenge only to find that the progress I’d made on the 29 problems up to the last had also disappeared and I was being required to take the entire challenge of 30 problems over again. As I’d already spent my allotted time for Kahn for the day, I’ll have to come back tomorrow and start again. To be sure this is just a review course for me so in the grand scheme of things I could proceed to the more advanced course without problem, but I just so like seeing that 100% on every course. UPDATE: after the latest update, I’ve gotten through challenges and practice without an app error and my progress is saved, so as of now, anyway, I’m quite pleased with the app.

Struggling with biology? This is the best educator you’ll ever have.. I’m so in love with Khan Academy, and I’m so grateful for it!! It’s really simple to use, and it has all the subjects that I need. And it’s free!!!! I am a foreign student who recently moved to the US, and I just started my first semester at cuny as a biology/premed student. Biology is hard, especially that English isn’t my first language. The textbook is really hard to understand and I have to translate most of the words, but Khan Academy made it so much easier for me. The language that the professor uses in the videos is really simple and understandable, yet academic and professional! The best thing is that when I don’t understand something, I can repeat the videos as many as I want!! In addition, there are articles about the same subject that I can read after or before the video! I just want to thank everyone in Khan Academy! You guys are the best!!

pretty great. videos are not super long. 15 minutes max-ish. if you want more practice, there are other sites that offer it. grab a math textbook, personally i study the concepts in khan academy and i practice using r.s. agrawal math. indian math textbooks offer so many questions and helped me so much during math courses over the past 3 years. i have donated a couple times because it is a good site/app, i always recommend their videos to friends who are struggling. i’m a freshman in high school (and i currently take a higher level math course), and i will admit the SAT practices aren’t as well made in the app, i usually use princeton review books. they are likely found at your local library or book store. i always come back and use the app to review old concepts. yes, it’s not super fun, but it’s worth it. study hard everyone, hard work pays off.

It’s aight tho 🤷🏻‍♀️. I want all y’all parents or kids to read this(pls.) Khan academy is amazing BUT can’t you guys add something new in there? I’m saying this from first perspective. Some kids need a BREAK BIGTIME so why don’t ya just give em an educational one??? What ab some Spanish? Or any language for that matter! Maybe a game or a challenge??? Points or stars??? My point is... no kid who is on break or not in school is going to absorb the education if it’s not really fun or interesting to a kid, not the parents. You think a kid will learn anything if interested or, vaguely, not even paying attention?? Well here is ur answer... NO, sadly they won’t. If you guys want kids to pay attention and learn, A let them have more options and B just make it interesting pls no beef tho I’m just saying so u don’t have other ppl saying that. I hope u guys listen to me. I know y’all a are probably like,” who is this random girl?!?!” But trust me pls. Gracias homies peace out deuces🤞🏼

👎👎. There are mistakes in some videos. Sometimes he writes down a different number without explaining why he changed it. There is one example in one format, and all the questions in the practice part are in a different format and you have to learn how to solve it yourself. I have spent over an hour in one practice section because even though I did all the math correct, the way I was typing it into my calculator was missing parenthesis that in the explanation didn’t even say to do so. Basically, I was getting some questions right and some questions wrong even though I did all the math correctly. The explanation misinformed me by forgetting things like parenthesis that will make you end up with a completely different answer. It would be nice if there was a way to restart a unit test in the middle of doing it. To start from the beginning again would be nice because I have spent the last 6 hours redoing one unit, I’ve had to redo the unit test over 10 times, and each time I make a mistake, I hav to finish all the other questions correctly before having to restart again. Overall, it’s annoying and a waste of my time.

I LUV this Place Of Education But Kinda Needs Improvement... Okie, so I would actually give this 10 stars because this is an amazing place of education, and it encourages us to be smart during these tough times, but it kinda needs improvement... So, basically I’ve been doing Math here, since almost 3 years, and I LOVE it. But this place needs to be fixed too, IG.. So one piece of improvement that needs to be made is that basically the questions in an exercise are what mostly Sal and others teach from the vids, but there are also some “awkward” questions that haven’t been taught in the video.. Can you please fix this? :/ Also, another piece of improvement that needs to be made is that if we get even a question wrong in an exercise but if we’re really looking forward to succeed, we can’t sadly redo the exercise.. Can you please add an option when we’re able to redo? That’s why I’m mainly stressing out in. Or else, I just luv this and I would strongly recommend it. Tysm for reading this and reviewing this amazing place of education from the US! Also, to EVERYONE reading this, stay safe and we’ll get through these difficult times! <3

Amazing!!!. I personally love this app. My son and daughter has been using it until they were toddlers since they are twelve now they still use it! I told them to use it a lot since that they could still use it when they are older....my son he uses it when he has stress with his homework so that he could have more ideas! I think this app is made for everyone because when they were just little small toddler I helped them on some stuff so they could do some simple math an now since they are older now I could let them be so they could experience the world of learning in Khan Academy! I decided to write a review this time of the year because since they are back to school they could maybe have some experience in what their class is learning! Something they really like about this app and I do too is that it corrects them if they got it wrong so they try it again. But um mean during quarantine when school did not start yet they have been using this app for hours...every time their mom and I ask them out for lunch or breakfast they always say 1 more hour 🤗. I think they really like it now but I think they are too into it their mom said maybe their growing up to fast and forgetting about us. But I think that they just need to have some time and think! OTHERWISE THEY LOVE THE APP!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS APP AND YOUR TEAM WE LOVE IT!!!!

Great app!. I had an issue with the back button in the app but you guys quickly worked to fix it! Thank you Khan Academy! I’ve changed the 4 star rating to a 5 star now. :) But please consider the following things mentioned below: 2) Allow users to download videos in high quality if they want to. I have enough storage and when I download Khan Academy videos, they’re always in very low quality, both audio and video. Give users the option to choose whether they want to save data and download in low quality, or if they can, download in high quality for offline use. 3) We can download videos to make them available for offline usage, but not articles. Why is that? Overall Khan Academy is a great tool to gain knowledge and it’s proven to be very helpful for a lot of people including myself.

best learning app in the world. its so clear and straightforward and helps me learn math quick. it is the only reason i could be learning algebra1 at 5th grade yes it is very good only question: is this app written in swift?(the programming language) and to all the haters out there: who says khan only has vids? you’re probably the ones who don’t notice the text reviews and practice quizzes. Also, you can just skip over a quiz if you find it hard or just get 50 or 0 points on it. u can still do the other vids and quizzes. suggestion: maybe make the point system more accurate instead of just 50 for 3/4 or 5/7 right and 80 for 4/4 or 7/7. you could do like a 20% for each question on 4 question quiz and 11% for each question on a 7 question quiz or smth. and have the mastery stuff raise ur stuff by (100-curretpoints)%20+30 points (% for modulo) that would be cool and (in my opinion) more accurate than the current system.

Wow!!!. What an incredible app. I’m so impressed. This company deserves loads of money to be thrown at it for making it free. My son has just switched from a Cambridge school to an American School and missed a lot of work. I think we were both about to give up. I didn’t know where to start to help him and being his new school is completely iPad based we felt deep despair at just the thought of trying to navigate through classrooms codes and half working text book apps. Now it’s all here in one place! Simple well explained and the practice really gets your confidence going. He had some maths homework and instead of the total melt down we both would have had trying to work out what was going on we flew through it!! THANK YOU! I love the fact that all the grades are here too so if there is a concept he is struggling with we can go back in the grades to see where that was introduced and work through it! We have been struggling for months trying to find the answer on line. It was only due to the fact that Khan kept coming up that I googled it and found the app. I truly pray this company gets loads of financial support to keep this app going! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

Life Saver for a College Student. This app has helped me so much in college when I didn’t understand concepts and formulas. I don’t know why people are complaining about not seeing their progress on this app or that it lacks in depth because Khan Academy isn’t supposed to be a replacement for a class. He goes over the basics of whatever subject you’re researching because you can’t do advanced material without learning the basics first. Also, progress is in the mind and you shouldn’t have to rely on an app to tell you that. In college, professors don’t have the time to do one-on-one sessions with students and quickly go through a whole year of subjects separated into segments in five months on specific days. I sometimes can’t keep up so I use Khan Academy after homework hours to look up sections/concepts I missed or couldn’t understand in very little time to teach my myself the missing components. Thank you Khan Academy for making my academic life easier.

Geared Towards SAT Prep. If these are the types of questions on the SAT’s, then why even bother? The questions are absolutely awful. They will not help anyone know what your skillset is, they only aim to confuse and befuddle your. If nothing else, they find any and all weak spots in your skills. The instructions on how to actually answer the questions are lengthy and yet terribly vague and idiotic. It gives no real insight into what you’re actually supposed to do. The questions themselves are asked in a manner that I can guarantee would confuse even the most avid reader. The hints are nearly childish. They do not give insight. If this is intended to teach, there’s something off. All I’ve found is frustration and anxiety. I don’t like to leave nasty reviews, especially when I’m sure this is actually the types of horrid questions that are on SAT tests. If anything must change, it would have to be SAT’s, so take this as a message from everyone disgruntled and stressed student. Make the standardized tests vaporize and disappear.

Khan Academy Changed my Life. I live in poverty. I know hardship and struggle. I know what it’s like to have to go to a school that doesn’t have access to the best resources. When I first took the SAT, I scored a 790. The class preceding mine had an average score of 730. It wasn’t that we were dumb or stupid, it’s just our educators could not adequately prepare us. I realized that I had to supplement my education with something more conducive to my growth and intellectual advancement. I began to use Khan Academy, watching math videos, practicing math problems and in 6 months I was able to score an 1180. Now that may not seem high, but when compared the class average(820) it looked amazing. Khan academy opened up tremendous opportunities for me. I got accepted to 7 colleges, received full ride opportunities to The University of Michigan and Michigan State University, becoming the first in my family to go to college. Without khan academy I would have never got accepted to college, let alone be able afford it! I am so grateful for Khan Academy and even more so because it was free!

Awesome!. Khan Academy is an incredible learning app that is totally free! If you want to start learning with an amazing curriculum that is free, download this app, create or use any account, pick your courses, and start learning! There are many amazing videos for you to pick and learn from. Then complete lessons that help you master the topic. Also, take quizzes to test your knowledge, and then take a unit test! Collect mastery points from lessons to customize your character! I am in 6th grade, and have an advanced math curriculum, meaning I learn 7th grade math. So when I picked my courses, I originally thought that I just had to pick a grade level, and then I would just learn that grade level standards. Well, that’s not the case! I can pick anything for my subjects! As soon as I downloaded and set up the app, I started learning and it was incredible! No bugs, so you should definitely download this! Khan Academy, you deserve so much money and support! Thank you.

if I fix this will the bug go away?. I’m doing estimation on khan academy since I forgot about most of it during the pandemic, and it seems pretty ok. It’s not hard or easy, but that’s probably just me. I can’t find a report button so I just figured I should rate the app instead. There was a question where it was asking me, “What is the largest whole number on this graph that can round up or down to 20?” So I picked 24 obviously, and it said that it was wrong. I triple checked the question and I swore I got it right, and I told my mom and she agreed that I got the answer right. I went onto hints to see what the answer was, and there is was. The answer was 24. I’m trying to get as many full points as I can, so if I get a question wrong then I make myself do the test again. I have no idea what that was, but hopefully they’ll fix the bug.

Amazing just one small bug. I love Khan Academy, As a user myself Khan Academy is truly incredible and motivating with all the badges, videos, avatars and quizzes. Its motivating and special thanks to the person in all the videos for teaching incredibly clear. You can choose your grade level and the subjects you wish to learn then you can watch videos on the topics then take quizzes based off of them. When I didn’t have the app I was in safari and chrome and it became very difficult and annoying to switch from tab to tab constantly to get places. The Khan Academy App makes it so much simpler and easy. The only problem is on chrome/safari I could access the SAT College Board area, in my learner home but from the app it only shows test prep not really any quizzes do you think you guys could fix that? Other than that it’s truly an amazing app I hope all future users become successful with it.

Needs Improvement. I think khan academy should be more fun in all subjects. It’s very helpful, but it is boring you should put games into learning, like building your own city and having characters live in them. You can send them on tasks and play mini games with them. You can also send them on exciting group quests win prizes from them. Your reading stories are also very boring. You should put stories about fantasy creatures, like griffons, dragons, and unicorns going to school and learning lessons that people can do at home that seem magical. You can do the same thing for wizard school. You can also do puppy school and talk about lessons that fictional puppies would do at school. You should also make more articles that proves that puppies are better than cats! Can you also make science, social studies, art, history, and computer coding for elementary school students, too?

Horrible interface, and full of glitches. I find this interface to be full of lots of glitches, and the interface self is a pain. It may take you 10 seconds to solve a problem, but a minute jut to be able to type it into the box. And it’s not like it’s a small screen. I use tons of other apps with iPad compatibility that’s flawless. I thought the message was to make life easier, and give anybody the opportunity to learn. But with an app like this, I’d rather carry around the textbook. Also what’s the point of mastery challenges or points, if you can’t access it with the app itself. And on a final note, I would like it if the app wasn’t so glitchy, the pages constantly quitting, going crazy and just being so slow. If you are a teacher, please spare your students, practice problems and videos are fine but please, do not replace the textbook. After a year of using khan rather than a textbook and old-fashioned practice worksheets, I came in knowing more about pre-algebra than after, and it’s not like I’m not trying. It’s just so hard keeping up with it and teaching yourself

Khan’s academy. It’s hard to say what is truly what it was when it originally began anymore... but I can say if Khan’s academy is still what it was when it originally began it is a noble and worthy endeavor I just wish that the public school teachers were able to somehow combine their whatever it is they are teaching these days with the system and lessons they have available to the academy... but at 10 percent of our national budget we’re lucky they don’t just have them go out there picking up recyclables all day or picking our vegetables (but that’s coming soon enough) because the price of being wealthy was apparently at the cost (partially) of educating our children... and that’s gonna be a problem should our debt ever affect the values of our currency…(which I would really like your lesson and or opinion about even just on a personal level and if you want me to stay discreet about your answer, I can…)Sal, thank you. Sincerely, Alexander Llopart

One of the best thing happened to the humanity. Mr Khan’s contribution cannot simply be describe in simple words. To me his contribution can be consider as valuable to the education community of modern times. His generosity and teachings will be remembered among many students even to many people older who had hard times learning math at early age. His method of teaching and being a good orator made each of the topics very engaging and easier to adapt by anyone. Since I have no problem with Khan Academy app or overall system, there are tiny things that maybe would be helpful to students engagements, such as current quiz system sometimes can be feel over exhausting. Like there are couple of time we have to redo same questions again if previously done it before.

Adds new things, in a vacuum.. The khan app adds some new things that weren’t present (I think) on the website, but they’re all lackluster compared to the same features in other apps. The best example is the writing tool. You can write on problems in math an other subjects, but it lacks palm rejection, a feature that has been standard in drawing tools universally for years, and it also lacks Apple Pencil support, which isn’t standard, but the app is on iPad so they have no reason to not quickly add it. The ui isn’t very good, ether, being tiny buttons spread as far apart as humanly possible. That makes split-screening with a calculator app, your notes, an actual drawing app, or whatever really hard, because you have to close the other app to progress. The app wouldn’t be hard to improve (and would probably only take a few minutes of work), but I can’t see anything happening soon because they’re finally updating it to support iOS 10, which came out in mid 2016.

AWFUL. This app is honestly embarrassing, it crashes within 10 seconds of opening it, and that’s not a one-time runtime error or anything, this is, fully updated on iOS 12, crashing before I can even access a lesson. I have courses I need to complete for my programming class and I can’t even start to explain how terrible this app is. I can understand a whole new iOS version coming out and there being a crash bug or something not working quite right after launch, that’s totally to be expected, but this. This is honestly disgraceful. They haven’t updated this app in over 3 weeks, and it has been unusable for over 3 weeks as a result. The service itself is honestly fine, but this app is disgustingly broken. If I could actually complete some parts of my lesson when I am away from my PC that would be great, so my thought process at that point would be to download the app, and sure enough it isn’t stable enough to stay open for more than 10 seconds. As a programming student, I find this mistake on their part absolutely embarrassing and I can’t believe it still has not been patched. 0/5 stars.

Everything is perfect besides 2 things.... I love this app so much and it’s helping me learn so much especially since we have to learn at home. This also gives me tons of ideas to do stuff and I loved the schedule you gave us. Problem is sometimes when I’m doing math the place where I have to write something disappears then I have to go look for it somewhere. Also sometimes it’s not clear if I have to do something or not. There’s so much going on I get so confused. I’m not sure if it’s my internet but my questions glitch a lot when I’m working, but the videos don’t glitch at all. Also sometimes I finished a test or those work sheets or whatever their called and I get a 4/4 percent then it makes me do it all over again for about 6 times. It gets really annoying until I don’t want to do it anymore. All in all this is a helpful app.

Wonderful. I hate writing reviews on apps, and khan academy is the only exception, I have used khan academy since the beginning of lockdown, and once lockdown ended I still had a use for it, like catching up on math that I missed This App has a clean and easy to use interface, a variety of classes, with a variety of topics! this app has helped me get out of having to use boring workbooks and instead has actually allowed me to learn out of school, and even though this app isn’t hidden behind a facade of being a video game centered around math, I have more fun on khan academy then actual “educational games” -with much love, a 13 year old from Australia

Please read now!!!!!!. Hi I’ve been learning with khan academy for a few years now and whenever I get a question wrong I want a good score and I have to go thru and do all the questions and then redo it again and I think there should have a redo button on the question so it redos the whole kid of like round or round of question (:

Great for learning!. I find Khan Academy excellently explains concepts in easy to understand ways. The range goes from sciences like biology and physics, to mathematics like arithmetic, calculus, algebra, geometry, to art and history, to computer programming, to economics, and it also helps you study for some of your big tests like LSATs, MCATs, SATs. I would recommend this to people of all ages, adults included.

Amazing! Just a little improvement would be good.. I love this app! First of all, it’s free, it has many lessons about specific topics and it gives you all the utilities you need to learn well! There’s a few things that do need a little improvement, though. Firstly, when you do the exercises and press the check button, it submits the answer right away. What I mean by this is it doesn’t give you a warning to check your answer. It would be great if a warning system could be added to the app. This is because with me, I sometimes get numbers mixed up. For instance, once I put 9 before 3 instead of the other way around, and ended up getting the answer wrong. I know I should have checked my answer first, but I get numbers mixed up, so I would love it if you could add a warning that tells you to check your answer before submitting it. Secondly, the digital work area is really small. It would be great if you could add some more space into the area to calculate longer equations. Overall, I love this app, and it’s amazing, but if these two things could be considered (and hopefully added), then that would be awesome! 😃

Ok. It’s great and all it’s just I’m having a few problems navigating the app. When ever I tap on something I have to wait a really long time, sometimes I’m in the middle of an assignment and it kicks me out and I can’t get back to it and all my progress sometimes is still there and sometimes it’s not. Other than that I think it a great app and definitely recommend It and keep going with what your doing I love this app thank you. 😁👍🏽

Add a feature to save an articles within Khan Academy. I’ve been actively using Khan Academy for a long time and I have to say I love it. But due to my long term use I find it a little difficult to find articles I want to read on certain topics as I have no means to save them into a folder or categories. I feel it will be useful and helpful to many users if you can add a feature to save articles within Khan Academy that will allow the users to access it without going through the trouble of reviewing the modules. This would be nice if the module is something you learn as part of the course but when researching on a topic of interest, saving the articles would be really helpful. Please consider this feature add on.

Good but fix this. I like this app(some how) but there is something you have to fix . when I do my work it is not there until I use a hint and it does not count. And if I do my work before the time it’s going to tack it gives me 50% can you fix that. From Mamukid665

Work area is essentially useless. Khan academy is an incredible resource, however the app falls short when you can’t scroll down in your work area to allow more room to work out longer equations, or erase large areas (E.g. with a click-and-drag select tool, or erasers of various sizes). Currently you have a small working area and have to erase your work with a pinpoint erase tool... it’s extremely frustrating. I have given up on using the digital workspace and use paper instead. I have submitted feedback about this both directly and in the online forums (where others expressed similar frustrations and claimed to have also provided feedback on these issues months to years ago) however the feedback has been ignored for whatever reason. It’s a minor fix that would dramatically improve the user experience.

Amazing!⭐️. I have only downloaded khan academy today and i already am learning so much. It has wonderful step by step processes and explanations. I in general have no motivation or focus in studies and learning new things. But Khan academy and the show Young Sheldon have given me motivation. I would love to see this app grow more. Its easy and actually kinda fun. Thankyou for helping me learn stuff xx

The best thing on my phone. My 8th grade maths teacher showed our class this website back when it only had math tutoring on it. It’s been another 10 years since then and I am absolutely blown away by the variety of topics covered by khan academy now and I am thoroughly enjoying expanding my knowledge on subjects that I didn’t even know I had a keen interest in back in school I recommend this to anyone looking to learn in there spare time or for their education at any level

Why no one should use this app. When you are just about to finish a big task, like a quiz or a unit test, on it sucksthe last question even if you get it right it will say that you got it wrong. They do this on purpose just to get people to spend more time on the app, so they can get more money, and just to get people triggered.

bugs. Hi there, i really love this app , its really helpful but it would be so great that it did not crack and stop me from learning every time i try to use the app, if you could plz fix the bugs and once use the app before uploading it to the appstore because i kinda faced the same problem with offline learning last year. thanks

Entirely free to use for EVERYBODY. The app is pretty great but it doesn’t contain all the features of the web version. My advice would be that you keep using the website unless what you’re studying is something common, i.e maths or grammar. Plus, all progress gets saved over to and from the app

Great App!. I have only just downloaded this app but have used the website before. This is so helpful as it gives videos to learn from plus questions and more. It has a variety of different topics. I like that it has encouraging messages and hints which keep me persistent. Definitely recommend this app for maths and science help :)

Great Math Tool. So, you want something to help you or your kid. You look for something that says that it is free, but needs extra payments in the app. Khan Academy is not like that. When they say free, it is free. I have been using it for over a year and I am impressed. Remember that this is not a game, it is a tool. So you can’t expect much more than this. It is a great tool, and I would give it more stars if I could.

OMG SO AMAZING!. This app is ridiculously good. I’ve used for a very long time and whenever I need to see how to do something I’d just looked it up on here, watched videos and did a bunch of questions. A great and fun way to learn maths and science. I actually skipped a grade in math and this helped me so much to get there. Thankyoooouuu. Just one thing to improve on is I would really like a show hint button BEFORE you get a question wrong, so you can check how to do it and then know next time without just getting it wrong.

Best educational app ever!. Easy, clear and straightforward lessons. I am loving this app, in each lesson you have explained everything so easily that I actually enjoy my least favourite subjects! Thank you for demonstrating your lessons and making them so easy to understand. I support this company. Cheers!

Perfect, but can get better. The previous version of this app was better than the current version, because the math section and all the other sections aren't there there anymore. Also when I click the math button at the search section, it doesn't click. I have to click multiple times for it to work. But the app is perfect for learning, and the teacher who is teaching math in the videos is very keen and interested in teaching us math.

The best app ever to help. This is such a good app for helping with me doing maths thankyou so much for making this app and I would definitely recommend this to anybody that needs help with stuff best helping app ever I love this app thank you again for making this app

Good lessons but confusing playlists. The lessons are reasonably spoken and visual, but the playlist order and layout is very confusing. I watched the videos in order from top to bottom for certain subjects and got to the “intro” videos after 6 videos in. If you play a video it lists related ones below which you might have already seen and also are not in the same order as the previous page. The courses should be a very linear, structured flow. It should be very clear which order to progress in. I also completed multiple exercises and once completed it went back to the previous video’s end which tried to load the exercises again. The only way to progress was to go back to the menu and find the next one. The pacing of the lessons is a bit repetitive and slow, perhaps aimed at children, but not too horrible. Promising lessons but with a flawed app.

Best Learning App. I’m in Year 5 and I’ve always felt as if the learning we do in class is much too easy for me. But I’ve been using KhanAcademy to get a more advanced level of education. I’ve only been using it for a very short while and yet I’ve already learnt things way beyond my age level. KhanAcademy is very helpful and has videos, explanations, exercises and hints to help you get the best out of your education. That’s why I give it a 5 star-rating! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Idea over knowledge. As a social science academic I was really disappointed that many of the art history lessons were poorly referenced. For some of the course content, you can see the only reference was “New York Times”. You should never use media as an educational tool because it has been more about implanting the idea into the public than actually spreading the knowledge (see Murdoch media in Australia as a great example nowadays). For children and people who are seeking knowledge and information, feeding them with more media lies is just pathetic.

Amazing. I use this app everyday to harness new skills. Deliberate play (a phycological term to practice new things under the disguise of games and activities) is put to great use as when I would learn new things it would be from a textbook or a website, here, the word practices and points make my improvement more enjoyable. The points and percentages assists me to keep track of my progress and reflect on improvements I could make. I would strongly recommend this learning tool for all ages who want learn in a fun, effective way. Thank you so much Sal Khan, you’ve really changed my perspective on math.

Not as much content as i hoped. I’m sure you are constantly updating with more content, but for math particularly (actually, that is all I checked) you don’t seem to have anything beyond a high-school level. After seeing your advertisements, I was hoping you would have some courses on both measure theory and Galois theory. I would not have been too annoyed if there was insufficient on either topic, but I was a little shocked to find that you didn't seem to have any content on abstract algebra or analysis at all! The first (or maybe second after a calculus/linear algebra refresher) topics most (pure) maths students take at most universities! Of course you are providing a free education service, which is really cool, but I feel like you advertise as if your program is a lot more complete than what it actually is!

Not good. The test and activities aren’t that bad, but this app is rigged and keeps on glitching. whenever i get 3/4 on a test, when i log out it says i got 50%. You app is a math app, and you can’t even get maths correct, you need to fix it. Over all, not the best it could be.

Ok. All in all, this is a great app for learning filled to the brim with knowledge, but there are technical issues. The will be data shown in tables, graphs etc. but the often don’t show up, or show up for millisecond before disappearing. This is extremely frustrating, and means you cannot answer the question, and continues to repeat forever until finally, after a bajillion tries to reset and restart, it shows. Otherwise, it is still pretty good in terms of factual accuracy. I think this glitch needs to be patched up, though.

Too buggy and poor user exp. I love the learning and I love the concept. However, there are too many times that the app quits in the middle of a problem. Also it’s frustrating that when you enter an answer you can’t look at your written notes at the same time. If it’s something really long, it means having to continually dlick back and forth between the two.

I love it!!!. This is the best thing that ever happened in my life! I could learn at my own pace. I could catch up things that I should have learnt several years ago without feeling embarrassed. It makes my learning experience so much fun and enjoyable. Keep going Khan academy!!!

Support required. Khan academy still doesn't have split view support; disappointing. I hope it's in the works soon. Split view is a feature that will greatly supplement(actually essential)the learning experience for your students wishing to do digital/paperless notetaking on the ipad. Having split view will allow students to simultaneously access both the learning materials and then be able to take notes at the same time like a real classroom, it will help with engaging with the material better to help better and more comprehensively remember as notetaking is an active process. I know personally it will help me as a student to engage with the khan academy app/course materials more as it increases usability(and situations) and user experience. An example I was can give of the split view feature positively complementing khan academy app in action would be of students taking math courses in khan whilst having the app split together with a writing app(note app, whiteboard, blank scribbling app)this writing app will be used for maths working out and upon reaching the answer be able to immediately submit into khan academy app for answer checking; this ensures studying/learning/taking classes without losing or breaking any nice work flow, a seamless using experience...I hope to see support for split view soon on the horizon. Thank you!

Doesn’t have as much as it says it does. Downloaded this to learn Russian grammar, only to be greatly disappointed in the fact that the only Russian thing they have it about the revolution. Like come on. If you’re gonna say you can learn anything then keep the promise. Otherwise it works pretty normally. Please add Russian grammar and language

The best learning app. This app has helped me so much! I used it for about 3 years and it boosted my experience and level in general so much! I didn’t need to go to tuition for those years. The only downside is that it is based on the USA curricular and there is no way to change it and since I live somewhere else, it gets really hard. This app is really good since there is preschool to year 12 with all different subjects. I would recommend for all ages, just hopefully in the future, they add different countries!

Wish there was an option to listen with the phone locked. The content is unparalleled, but I would love it if we were able to listen to the videos with the device locked! I listen to videos whilst jogging it helps me to remember Cheers

Amazing!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. An easy to use app with lots of educational resources for all subjects. I started using Khan Academy during lockdown and it was super helpful when trying to learn those pesky linear equations. Even today, out of lockdown I using it to help me grasp concepts like balancing equations in science and specific things in maths for my major exams at school. Great respect to those who put time and effort into this educational organisation!

Glitchy Videos. UPDATE: I reinstalled the app, the issue persists. I have submitted a ticket regarding the issue. Considering Khan is the only app where I have seen the issue, I do not believe the issue is with my device. — I absolutely love Khan. The loss in stars is due to the fact that the videos are very unreliable, often so blurry they are unwatchable. There doesn’t seem to be a way to manually improve the quality. More than happy to come back with a 5 Star rating when this issue is resolved.

THANK YOU!!. i absolutely love this app! i have been using it to revise and freshen up on my maths skills before i go to uni after about 7 years of having done pretty much no math at all. i can’t express how much this app has helped! it’s great for learning at your own pace and i feel that some of the lessons on here are even better at explaining topics than the ones i had back in school. and it’s free too, which is amazing because this is something i’d pay good money for. thanks khan academy!

Yusss, still missing keyboard video playback controls tho. The app is way better now since yesterdays update! Support for iPad Pro 2018 is finally here 🎉 and the app just looks a lot better. However, we’re still missing keyboard support for video playback controls (i.e. play/pause, skip, rewind, and that good stuff.) plz can we have. Plz plz plz. Otherwise, I’m very satisfied with this update.

Groundbreaking achievement. I honestly don’t know the right word(s) to describe the incredible gift that is Khan Academy. Khan Academy has achieved what governments have not and that is providing a free education to anyone that has access to an internet connection. The application is so easy to use and provides the ability to download the courses to use them offline. Highly recommend for any ages.

BEST APP EVER!!!. I love Khan Academy. You can choose what you want to learn and even if you think that the subject might be hard they explain it soooo well. I also like how it’s a reliable app and that the information is correct. The videos make a lot of sense (even if it is a hard subject) and all you have to do is choose a subject and they would give you videos about, information and even tests! This app helped me so much! (I LOVE THIS APP😀) Thank you Khan Academy!

Not Working. I’m a big fan of Khan Academy but not when nothing loads. I went into the app and none of the videos and exercises loaded, I updated the app and the same thing occurred. I then deleted the app and tried again but it wasn’t even letting me sign in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Love it, just something you could delete…. 1. In early math review, the money. It says US dollars with stuff like a quarter. We (my family) are Australian. So we don’t know. Also, either way, the images are kinda blurry.

So useful!. This app is INCREDIBLE. I really struggle with math because our school teaches it at a fast pace but I’m a slow learner when it comes to math. This app has really helped me and well exceeded my expectations. It has video tutorials, many different quizzes (which you can redo as many times as you want with many different questions each time!), chapter summaries and it even has a transcript for the video tutorials, meaning I can read explanations rather than replaying a small section over and over again. But the best thing about this app is that it is entirely FREE. Another great feature is that it not only teaches math but many other subjects. This is honestly one of the most helpful apps I have ever used and I really look forward to using it more often!!

I use this on desktop. The app interface looks good, however the video quality quite drops a lot to a time where i just exit and go on the desktop to watch it. There should be a quality function placed in to fix that video quality. The quality isn’t bad it’s horrible especially in the interviews with CEO’s. Which shouldn’t be like that.

Wow. This app is really great. In a matter of fact, this is useful for kids and adults to learn more about different things. I have been using this for at least 2 years. Keep up the good work.

Annoyed. Am enjoying using this app somewhat, but I keep getting locked into activities and having to terminate the app to get anywhere else. Sometimes the arrow disappears and sometimes it just doesn’t respond, nor does the practice again button when it happens. Also have tried to watch a video from within an activity and the video doesn’t play but the sound does with no way to control it other than to terminate the app. Very frustrating. I also find that if the app goes offline I have to terminate and reinitiate to bring it online, which seems to be whenever I go out of the app and return to it. EDIT: uninstalled/reinstalled and the problem seems to have disappeared. I have a new feedback suggestion: the keyboard needs to be swiped in some activities to get to buttons for exponents and such, however you cannot swipe it without pressing a button on the current keyboard. This is difficult to get around and creates a barrier to answering correctly for mobile users. If a button could be added to switch between keyboards, it would fix this :)

LOVE IT !! Just one improvement. I found khan very helpful and interesting and provided information on a very wide range of topics my only ask is for there to be a text to speech option to help people with reading difficulties. Thank you so much for this amazing app.

This app is darn good. For 3 reasons 1: super easy to use ui, that is quite efficient and gets you to where you need to be 2 good and helpful lessons for everyone(including kids) in most subjects and a helpful guide to see not just that u got it wrong, WHY you got it wrong 3 im adding another reason just for the encouraging note that pop up sometimes For these reasons this app is quite fine if i dare say 🙂

It’s ok. It’s actually really helpful I do think that you should be able to look back on questions and learn from your mistakes my year six teacher started using it during learning from home we used Mathletics before this and I thought that they were really good but now I think that they could expand in topics that they do and I think that this will really help me for work during school and the rest of my life ( the other reviews I sent were because I am a lil bit crazy sometimes sorry 😅)

Great app for learning, though there are some problems. I have been using khan academy for math for around 7-8 years now, and it has honestly been great. Though something I noticed was when you get into the more advanced branches of math, somethings that are put into the question are not actually explained in the video. This leads to you actually having to do some extra research to compensate for some lack of information in this app.

Excellent learning platform. With so many courses from absolute beginner to degree level, this is what I recommend to my students who need more background or to fill gaps in their knowledge when they’re not quite keeping up in my face-to-face classes.

Love it, but- too advanced.. I love the computer programming, and Pixar in a box, and how you get to learn all of that in one app just as well as grammar and maths. But, I am having a difficultly learning the math, I think it’s advanced because at school I never learnt algebra, now all of as sudden, I’ve got a giant algebra question. I think the videos need to be more descriptive as well as the questions. So if you get “sally made 25 donuts, and at the end of the day had p donuts. Solve for p.” I think it should describe how it wants you too do it. Like you could hit “help” and instead of it telling you “oh, p is just algebra. You can do this” it should show you step by step on how to do it, not just jump right in. And i don’t think that you should have to redo the whole test because you got one wrong. I had to do thirty questions for 20 points, 1%. I thought that was a bit silly for only 1% so if you could change some things, I reckon this could be a great app for mums wanting to homeschool their kids or just like travelling around the world and being able to do math everywhere! Otherwise this is a great app! Thank you for taking your time to read this 🙏😊

Good. Should touch

Mistake.. I put in the right answers (CONFIRMED BY MY TEACHER) and the app says I’m wrong!

Some problems.... I got this app and was ready to learn some integers but I could get the dot on the number line to move at all. Now I’m stuck on a number line question and pretty much all of the integer questions are number lines, so if you can fix that, that would be great!

I hate this app. This app is garbage not only does it make your kids hate mathematics and other subjects it causes stress and fear this app is making my summer hell and making me sad don’t get it it sucks I’m a kid and I hate this more then anything

Good app but. For the people who use IOS devices you need to make it accessible for people to change the language on the app without changing the language of the device it self. Because some people speak more then one language so it would be helpful that you gave them the option to chose their perfected language ON THE APP!

Please give me split screen. I looove this app, it is an amazing resource. My only wish is that it had split screen capabilities for iPad as I would love to be able to have it open at the same time as Notes so I can do my work with the Apple Pencil without having to switch back and forth between apps. Right now I do it with the app open on my phone and then use the iPad for writing and a calculator, but it would be sweet to have it all in one piece of equipment!

Honestly someone has to say this: YOUR DONE.. this literally dog water of an app has no common sense and says that the right answers are wrong, like someone get them a math mentor or something like GET HELP.

Love it. This app is amazing I’m a grade 4 student and I learned a lot from this app.At first I don’t know what to do but then I try my best and now I finally get it 👍🏻👍🏻🤝🤝

Great app!. My education level is so patchy, and with Khan academy, I can go back and forth over what I do know or don’t know. It also helps me see what areas of learning needs work. I love how visual his teaching is because I am a visual learner. I think it’s really helped me in school as well

Good for learning but once you get a question wrong you have to do the entire thing. They should add a feature where you can just skip the entire thing(not just the question you got wrong) once you get a question wrong, bc then i end up wasting my time.

Amazing. I love this app it helped my child get back on track in math at school plus my child thinks it’s a cool video game

darkmode. really good app, I would recommend adding darkmode though.

tysm for creating this!. Helps a lot

Amazing. This is such a good app for learning it has many topic to learn about especially in math but they have very little language art that is why this is a 4 star not 5, but it a FREE all in one learning app. Thank you!!!

The shush. It dum

This is so stupid. So I was doing math when I found a easy question. It said “9x8” so I typed in “72” but it said it was wrong. This happened to me 9 times already.

Fun. It is fun and cool

amazing app. amazing app.

Awesome. Best app for school by far!

Thank you!. I’ve used Khan Academy previously for a couple years and really enjoyed learning and refreshing studies. Very helpful app and free! Thanks!

Sucks. Very dumb

5 stars for dark mode. when dark mode has been introduced into the khan academy app i will give 5 stars no doubt about it ! the white really hurts my eyes at night and i find it unbearable to use, a dark mode would really help.

Khan Academy 🩷. Its so good i recommend it if you are in any garde or college or university

Amongus. Don’t come here

The video talks too fast after the last update. Great app. The only problem is that the videos suddenly started talking too fast. At first I thought it was just on the subject I was studying but when I tried another subject, it turned out to be the same. When I checked the exact same video on YouTube, they sound normal. Please fix this problem. Thanks.

A Truly Amazing Resource!. Khanacademy helped me learn various physics!

The Seven Years War. You lost my vote at the beginning when the narrator said “The Acadians moved to Louisiana and became Cajuns” Seriously? Are you British? They were deported, rounded up like livestock, a lot of them just coming out of church, pushed onto boats, families separated, mothers, children , husbands and wives. A horrible inhumane act of the ruling British. That is how the Cajuns came to be. Come visit the Acadian villages in eastern Canada, some descendants still live there. The Brits missed some intheir haste. Could you just do more research?

My brain says yummy. I enjoy this app very much I started my first lesson on scaling down the universe sca scan up the universe which was very good I enjoy this app very much I just started my first lesson and enjoyed it very much so I’m an astronomy nerd and I enjoy this and recommend this app to everyone that is around who will listen

So Good!!!. This app is amazing! And it’s completely FREE! I love all the features that help me learn at my best, including the crystal-clear explanations and fun exercises. I just love it! Thank you Sal!

Leveling hatred. Im sure level down is too far

1 star,i cant login 👎🏻😡. I tried ti login on the app and it said, oops! You cant login here but you can on our website! ...LIKE WHY WAS THAT AN OPTION THEN!?!? Waste of time.. on THE WEBSITE “oops! Failed!” ANOTHER WASTE OF TIME! Took me 20 minutes and still nothing DO NOT DOWNLOAD!

How it is awesome. You can do any courses and they explain it really awesome also they have all ages

Is hard. Your mine will explode after you do it

Great learning tool, app needs work. Please, give us a n option to simply type in answers. Some require touch writing, and it’s infuriating to get a complex answer written in their correctly. Feedback link in the app doesn’t work. Opens a pop up where both submit and cancel do nothing, forcing you to leave the app. Reached a question where I can neither get hints or skip the problem, therefore I can no longer practice that topic. I love khan academy, but these little problems can add up to ruin what would be an amazing learning tool

Khan Academy is the BEST!. This app is super amazing! I can learn a lot of stuff. Without it I would be lower than my classmates in school! This app makes me learn everyday something new!!!!!😍

Not working. Every time I do my math on there it shows that i have not completed it even tho I have and I have deleted the app and reinstalled it but there’s no change and it is getting very hard for me to do me school work since it isn’t even going through

🙏. Literally amazing

Can’t believe this is free!!!. Praise God for Khan Academy. Literally changing the world with free education!!!

Heeeheeee. An easy way to learn and even though my mom is strict she likes it

The BEST!. Okay Khan Academy is literally the only reason i’m not failing rn. Like I learn more than i do from 7 hour school

The Best. It’s literally the best app to use to independently study or work with your teachers and classmates. Love it.

Khan académie. Plusieurs langues disponibles de plus, cette application est totalement gratuite.

I’m a super idol. Never gonna give you up

Needs dark mode. Dark mode is an essential and very basic feature that should have been added a long time ago.

Fantastic. A great (free!) learning resource. The fact that you can download videos for offline is a much appreciated feature.

Powerful app. Great app for learning and teaching. Quality is not equal throughout all the languages. English language courses have higher quality than other languages such as French.

Needs Dark Mode. The app is pretty great overall but there should really be a dark mode option for nighttime ready and studying.

Education at its Best. Khan Academy is without hesitation the top resource for mathematical self-study! It exemplifies what the internet and open-source learning can achieve. Its theory of mastery is essential for real progress in mathematics—that is, every skill builds off of a previous skill. Pushing students up higher and higher before mastery really just causes them to struggle more and more. Kahn allows learners to go back and forth in their study regardless of level until they feel confident in their skills.

Needs dark mode. Yes

It’s ok. I wish there was a dark mode but I learn a lot. 😁

Best Learning Device in Existence. I don’t believe I’ve ever written a review for an app before. I’m not exaggerating when I say that this app is single-handedly allowing me to learn subjects at a rate that far exceeds anything that I thought was possible. I’m allowed to mix my learning with visual video learning as well as practice questions. It’s also a serious plus that I’m not bombarded by ads all the time. You would think that all the information would be a bit overwhelming, but the subjects are very neatly categorized and it’s easy to keep track of what you have learned and what you still have left to cover

This app is not my Favorite.. Khan academy is supposed to be a learning and educational app for kids all the way up to adults, although I think it’s very overrated this app is very hard for some kids, especially my kid. My sons name is Trevor he is working on learning ways to solve multiplication and division, although I try my best to help him with this skill, even me a 30 year old woman has a tuff time solving these 3rd grade math problems. My son loves to do these math problems, but he has a very sensitive heart so he cries very easily. I think this app was made very poorly, I think they should have put more time and effort to putting down questions on the grade level of your choice and some of these problems on here, are high school math problems when he is only in elementary school. I used to only use this app for summer school and thought it sucked. TRY HARDER.

Lots of pain. Alright listen up, When it comes to unit test or something with like lots of question, it’s just annoying. I do like lots of question, but when you get 1 wrong, you redo the whole thing which is a waste of time. Think about it 35 questions???? and getting 1 wrong is just a pain. Then you have to answer the rest of the questions. For me, I think that when it comes to course challenges, I think the limit of mistakes could be 6 or 7. Unit tests could be 3 or 2. Also, if your stuck at a question, why not just use a hint? It counts toward your progress??? Yes, you can look back at the videos, but if you didn’t know, the videos are not accurate. Some time, it can be talking about addition but questions are subtraction. It can also be talking about division but the questions are multiplications. Please make it better.

Great app!. I’m a high school student, and this app covers a lot about the maths and other things we’re learning. I initially only used the website because of my teachers, but throughout the years I’ve came across some irresponsible teachers that don’t teach, and I use this app and I get along great. Sometimes the guy making the video messes up, but I still understand it and the fact that people make mistakes sometimes. Also when I don’t want to watch the videos, there are transcripts. It’s also great for when I want to go back on a lesson and this app gives you many opportunities to redo the lessons.(And the fact that it’s also free is great)

Amazing App. I feel like I can literally learn school from this app. Now I’ve only been doing math. In 8th grade I was taking Geometry HON, and the day of the EOC, we had afternoon testing so we sat in the gym, the coach forced us to go outside and play so I played football, and ended up getting a concussion. I don’t even remember anything from that week. I just finished 9th grade and I’m about to go into 10th and my Geometry EOC is in about 17 days, and I’m using Khan Academy to help me. The videos are s helpful and I’m understanding everything, I am pretty sure I will get either a 4 or 5 on the EOC. I also can’t wait for them to change my GPA as they had to put in a 0 for my EOC because I didn’t take it and my GPA dropped by about a WHOLE 1.0. GREAT APP

Khan. Khan academy is a decent app that helps you practice math stuff. The problem isnt the content but instead its the way the app and the site work. DO NOT REQUIRE THIS! I cannot stress that enough. Dont require khan assignments because there is no restart button so getting one question wrong basically screws you. It also expects you sometimes to get 11 consecutive problems correct with no error. Also, dont assign a certain amount of time spent on khan. The timer has this jank anti cheating thing that makes it only count about 2 minutes max per problem. So if you take 10 minutes to work through a difficult problem, you only get two minutes of credit. The computer programming stuff is probably the most fun Ive ever had on it, but dont do it on a mobile computer because the alignment and stuff gets off and its really messy and annoying.

Love it, when it works. I was really excited when I realized I could do the Khan Academy math exercises on my iPhone. I am trying to get caught up in math so I can take college calculus. And for a day, it worked great. But now, the app is showing all the numbers doubled and sometimes overlapping, and I keep getting answers wrong because I can't see them properly. I tried restarting the app, but that didn't help. And there is no place to report the problem. Help!!! Update: the number doubling problem wasn't resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I'm working through this with support, and meanwhile just using the website. However, I also can't see anymore what I've already completed versus what I need to work on, without clicking on every topic to find out. Super frustrating!

Khan Academy. I would be ignorant if I said that the design and overall format of Khan Academy is bad, but I do have concerns. I’m currently using this app for geometry and have been using the mission feature since the beginning of the school year. We have also been receiving assignments from our teacher. These assignments often have attached videos to help students understand how to complete the given assignment, but usually the problem in the video is not in the same format as the problems in the actual assignment. This leads to confusion and lots of frantic searching on the internet for an explanation on how to complete the work given. Another problem I’ve been struggling with is that of progress. As most students would, I’d like to get as many 100% as I can in all of my classes. When doing assignments or missions on this website/app, students do not receive half credit for retrying a question after getting it wrong, and this makes it, if anything, harder to finish our work with a passing grade. My last problem is work load, but that has more to do with the teachers at my school than Khan Academy. I hope this will help in reference to further development of this app, and that the developers will take this into consideration. Thank you.

Overall good app. While the app can be a bit of a bother to navigate at times, the benefits of using it far exceed the negatives. Additionally, there were some issues in a previous version of the app that have been promptly fixed by the developer. I believe this shows that the team behind Khan Academy and its app are working hard to improve their products. And given that access to Khan Academy and all its features is completely free, I’d say that’s a pretty good deal. In the end, Khan Academy provides for free what others will try to swindle you endlessly for: educational content. I’m looking forward to the future of this app and the website that coincides it. I recommend that those seeking to sharpen their mind give it a try as well.

UI needs some work. Love the concept of this app. Khan Academy is awesome. However, the Unit Test questions in Computer Science sections are impossible to read without constant “pinching” the screen to zoom out or in. It will not scroll down at first and when it does after multiple attempts, the same issue is experienced when you try to scroll up. For example, you read a question/problem in the test and you cannot see the answers. So you pinch/zoom and see answers but it is cumbersome to get back to the question again. It takes too much time. Sometimes I have to zoom out completely by holding the screen “pinch” and squint to see the text. I urge developers to use this part of the app on their own phones (I use an iPhone 10) to really understand my perspective. Thanks!

Please add dark mode. I love the website and the app and have used it for years. In terms of content, everything is excellent. Two main complaints: 1. I really don’t understand how the app is yet to have dark mode…it’s 2023 and almost all apps have this built in natively now. It’s impossible for me to use this at night because of how bright the white background is against everything else, which is compounded by the videos mostly having a black background, so it’s jarring switching between these. Please add dark mode. 2. The website has a comments section on each video, which is totally invisible on the app. The comments section is helpful for clarifying questions and topics brought up in the video and promoting discussion of the content. It would be great if this could be added to the app as well.

Perfect app!. This is a great app, let me start -completely free (no in app purchases) -contains so much content -you can download lessons for the go -and I haven’t experienced any bugs It is so easy to use and i just use this over the summer to keep my mind fresh and prepare me for the next school year. Im sad so many people rated this app one star and i think its just to do with them hating school in general. This app deserves to be 5 stars and i treat it as if it is 5 stars. I do have a suggestion however. Normally when im doing complex problems with odd variables and large numbers i pull out the good old pencil and paper and do my work like that however it would be convenient if you made a way to draw and write out your work in the app, there already is this feature in the computer version and its nice to have. For example when you pull up the keyboard normally there are 2 sections you can swipe to, you could add a third menu that has a drawing pad or something similar to that to make doing complex problems simpler to manage. But if not pencil and paper will always get the job done. All in all the app is great and khan academy is great. Keep it up 👍

I can’t recommend Khan Academy enough. As someone who is absolutely terrible at math, Khan Academy has been a huge help. Not only does he explain how to do math problems, he shows how to do them, and shows why you do them that way. These videos are very easy to follow and understand. The fact that this is free is just great! My one problem is that sometimes there are errors. For instance, I watched a Geography video a few weeks ago. After, it had me do a quiz. The problem was, some of the questions for the quiz had not be talked about yet, but were covered in the next video. These errors seem to be rare though, so it’s not a big deal

Good but to many bugs!. Could someone please please update this app? It has so many bugs it's incredible! First each time I finish a task it won't let me try again I'll have to close the app & reopen it just to redo the same questions I was doing, another bug is sometimes when it loads it would lose connection & back out or would start the questions two times so if I went back it would have the same task open! & some of the questions aren't loading properly it would ask a question but won't load the actual thing so I could properly do the question. My internet is great, this on the math section please do something! This is my main source of studying & I have a exam coming up It's extremely frustrating trying to study like this!

Best Educational App. This is the ONLY educational app I could find that does not try to steal your money with monthly payments or distracting you with ads every 40 seconds. This app can teach you almost anything you want to learn and the best part, it’s 100% FREE. It really doesn’t get any better, sick of getting an educational app on my phone that gives me ads or in-app purchases. Khan Academy is the perfect education app, my only suggestion would be to add math/brain training games, vocabulary games, etc. to sharpen the skills you learn and improve them further, but this app still deserves a 5-star review for its great educational value and variety of topics to learn about in one platform.

Practice. This is a marvelous app and it probably helped millions of students around the globe. However, I wish to see practice questions and course quizzes in physics or chemistry courses. For instance, there isn’t any quiz in Physics starting from Centripetal Acceleration and onwards. Concepts such as Rotational Kinematics can be quite difficult sometimes depending on the questions as you have to associate it with centripetal forces(eg. A spinning ball hanged by a rope). Thus, I believe practice questions are essential in all topics. This part of the review is to say that I’m very grateful for Khan Academy. It has surely helped millions of children especially those who are less privileged or are from countries that cannot offer top-notch education. A big big thumbs up

Amazing content but app isbuggy after update. I have some downloaded bookmarks but u can’t access them because the app says it needs to update them, when it seems like it’s halfway there it crashes, I don’t want to delete it and te download because I have those saved classes to not waste data when I come back to them. It’d be nice if it didn’t need to automatically update or if I could just access the bookmarks and downloaded content regardless. I love this app because it teaches you slowly and step by step, sometimes to the point of getting annoying but it makes it easier to not get lost. As a College student with ADHD this is a life saver for when I get home to study what I missed in the physical class and I can just replay if I need to hear something again.

Navigation Issues and writing the letters. This is an amazing app! It totally works in every way and the glitches that bothered me so much in the past. Just one minor fix so that I could give this app five stars. We need a menu button in our videos and tests. I watch a bunch of videos straight, with tests and stuff, and then If I wan’t to go back to the course, I have to press the back button a million times and go through every single lesson i watched and every test I’ve completed. But the one thing that bothered me the most is that when I encounter one of those articles, I’m just stuck. I enter one, I complete the mini tests, i read the article, and there’s no next button or previous button to go to. I have to double tap and swipe the app and get back on it. Also, I have been trying to write the letter O for a problem on variables, but I keep getting 0. If you can make it so that we can have the option to type out our answers, that would be great. And that’s about it. Oh wait, if you can make the profile a bit more manageable like in the computer, that would be great. Thanks!

Great material. This app is perfect even if your teachers do not use Khan academy, considering most courses like Biology still follow the common curriculum. Some of my classes my teachers will only touch on a subject and not thoroughly go into it (which did some reason I need to have in order to understand even the basics), which Khan academy helps with. Usually my Biology teacher is surprised with how much more I know, just from watching 12 minute videos. Often if I do not know a certain part of my chapter, I can find a video on it on Khan Academy which really helps. SAT prep is great too! It pairs with your PSAT grades allowing you to touch on what you have the toughest time with.

Could be more fun for children.. Yes, Khan Academy is super helpful and may have helped me with my math. However, I have a few suggestions for this app. There are many kids who use this app so maybe you could make it more fun for children. Khan Academy kids is for more younger children, so the 10-13 year olds are usually using the regular version. Maybe you could make it more fun for them? For example, you could make it where you could earn coins and them you can use it to make fun avatars! Or you could make it where you can unlock new subjects so it’s more motivating. It might be more enjoyable if you add little educational mini games when you complete a subject. Thank you for reading this and thank you for helping through 6th and 7th grade!

Lessons are great, but there are issues.. I find the lessons and practice to be of high quality. As a career high school math teacher, I appreciate the time and energy put into Khan Academy instruction. The issues I have been less impressed with are using the app on an Apple iPad. I’m not sure if the issues exist on other devices. One issue is inconsistency in recording progress. A lesson can be successfully completed, but then no record exists that it has been done. And trying to get help on this issue is another issue. Spending the time researching how to get the help, attempting to fill out forms on line, and then being directed to a site requiring payment for the help was frustrating. In conclusion, I’d rate this app a 5 star for quality of instruction, a 1 or 2 star for recording of progress, and a 1 for getting assistance.

An amazing app with one weakness 😭!. My only gripe is that you can not multitask with this application unless it is a very narrow sliding window. I really want to take notes while watching the videos and rewind at the same time to understand a concept. But the best I can do is to make the video float in my note taking app. I am an engineering student and I use my iPad Pro 12.9 for all my studies and note taking. Let me put this out here first, this app is amazing for starting at one level and expanding your knowledge at your own pace! I really want to give this app a 4.9 stars but sadly that’s just not an option. Please keep up the great work guys! I downloaded the app to my phone and I guess I’ll be squinting until the update comes. But trust me, it’s well worth it 😂

Awesome, but I have some suggestions.. First I would like to say I am very grateful for Khan academy, and without it I probably wouldn’t have gotten into UMTYMP. It is a math class at the University of Minnesota that gets you through calculus before 12th grade. My life has been a lot better when I qualified, and without Khan academy I am almost certain I wouldn’t have made it there. Two things have been annoying me in this app though. 1. It won’t let me do missions. I took one mission today, and suddenly it says I have to wait 7 hours before I take another one. This is really annoying, and I don’t know what the point of that is. I like learning at a fast pace and not being able to master these limits my learning, and wastes my time. 2. For the exercises you have this scratch pad. It is nice, but previously there was an undo button and now there isn’t one. This makes it really tedious to erase. It hasn’t been much of a problem for me since I got a notebook for Khan academy, but I think it will help a lot of other people. Also since I am doing geometry, sometimes you don’t want to to it in your notebook because you would have to draw everything in the problem. These are all the suggestions I have right now. The app is really good, but hopefully you can consider my advice.

The #1 Learning tool for EVERYONE. Khan Academy is amazing! It helps me sooo much with stuff I need to learn. I use this app to learn things I need to know in the future so I’m prepared and ready. The BEST thing about this app is that it is free!!! I have some downs in the app though. The explanation videos are amazing. They explain everything so clearly, but they’re getting kind of boring to me now. The first time I started I was good with the videos, but now it looks really really plain to me. They should add some animation to it to make it more fun! Khan Academy should also add a flash card tool to make it more effective and maybe some quiz games with fun little animated characters. I think that would make it more fun and appealing to lots of kids!!! Thank you so much for reading - KHAN ACADEMY IS THE BEST! 😃

Amazing. A really really fantastic app. There are very big video varieties to choose from about the specific math topic you need and each of them are very helpful. Most teachers tend to only repeat what they’re teaching about one subject once (from what I have experienced,) but with Khan Academy it’s a different story. Khan Academy presents videos of any math subject you need help on and you can repeat them anytime you want and there are a multiple videos to choose from. This is a great boost because each video has someone explain their way of solving a math subject, that way you can choose which one makes you understand that subject more. Overall great educational app, planning on keeping it.

Best Learning App Ever. As an 11-year-old, Khan Academy has taught me more than any of my teachers. I love it because you can learn almost anything taught at school on Khan, and there’s in-depth videos that teach you for almost everything. And it’s all free. I don’t understand why Khan Academy has so many 1-star reviews, either, since the app works perfectly on my 16GB Ipad that has barely any storage left as well as my slow, horrible internet. I wouldn’t know as much as I did today without Khan Academy, and I seriously recommend any parents and teachers reading this to get their kids/students to use Khan Academy. If my class used more Khan Academy, perhaps less of them would get horrible grades in math and science.

It’s amazing!. I love this app, it helps me work and in between I can watch informational videos to help me, just I had an idea. I this they should have two big problems with this. firstly, half of the time my work space online, so I have to do it multiple times, and just spam it so I forget what the problem is, which leads me to my second big problem with this app, is that while you’re on my work space I can’t see the problem I have to solve, and I forget it, and since I can only see the title of the section, I think it’s that, so you should make the problem appear onscreen while you’re using the work area and fix that little... bug. But other then that, it’s amazing, and I just found it!

Love it. Suggestions.. Love the app as it gives you a variety of topics to choose from. Whether it's math, it's science, or it's writing it can all be practiced on right here. They even have an option for you to practice the SAT's! If you don't understand what you are doing or need help, there are videos you could watch I do love this app, however I wish there were two features we have on the browser version compared to the app. It would be really helpful if I could write on the page in order to help me solve what I'm doing or counts my time even if I am off the app to solve the problem. Another thing I wished they would add is the progress to see how long I have been working.

App problems with iPad Pro & iPadOS. The browser version works great. However, using the app on my iPad with the magic keyboard is frustrating. Specifically, the on-screen calculator doesn’t appear unless I invoke hints multiple times. So, a quick lesson with four or five questions can take much more time than it should. Then, when the on-screen calculator does work, numbers and other symbols are automatically double-typed. For example, if I insert the number 3, on the screen the number 33 appears. This is not a typo nor my own mistake! The same thing occurs if I type the negative sign. Instead of one dash, two appear. I have to repeatedly delete and retype until it works properly. My 4th gen iPad Pro is up-to-date with the latest iPadOS operating system. It’s odd to have to use the browser instead of the app.

Makes learning algebra II fun (not sarcasm). I probably would not have been able to succeed in my Algebra II class without Khan Academy. What’s great about this app to me are the quizzes and tests- if I don’t understand a problem, the app suggests video to me, and also gives hints/ a walkthrough of how to solve the problem in brief increments, so if I end up remembering, I can solve on my own. Also, when you retake a test, it gives you different questions each time. This app is almost the equivalent to having a free tutor. In addition, the guy who makes the math videos is fantastic at explaining any math concept. I rarely have questions after watching his videos, and even more rarely after reading the walkthroughs with them. This app is phenomenal, 6/5 stars

Only one niche problem. Hi there! I really do think that this app is amazing, however, there is one extreme annoyance that I have with one specific part: Factor using Polynomial division. The way that they teach how to factor them in the hints is to split the x factor into 2 parts to then factor them. But in cases like 5xsq - 9x - 2, You have to split the 9x into -10x and x. But you could also do it like -5x and -4x, and you could factor it that way. Only problem is, that solution doesn’t work. Factoring -5x and 5xsq makes 5x(x-1) and factoring -4x and -2 makes -2(2x +1), which is the wrong answer. If you could find a way to factor polynomial division in a more foolproof way, please fix it, because I’m really considering skipping this entire section

Please add a share video button.. I've been using Khan academy for the past 5 years and honestly it's taught me so much. But there's one big glaring issue. I've recently been trying to teach my friends math, and there is no way to share one of the videos I'm currently watching. This makes it extremely difficult to help my friends learn something, because as of now the only way I can show them the same content is by logging in on your website, and having to dig through page after page until I can find the video and then copy paste them the link. If you guys were to add a share video button inside your app I would greatly appreciate it and it would do wonders for my friends and I thank you.

Great to update me on newer teaching methods, but . . .. I downloaded the app on my iPhone X to learn more about current teaching methods, as it’s been a few decades since I went to school. Having a 2 year old that I want to jump start had me looking for options and I was recommended Khan by a friend. All in all, I’ve had no problems with the methods, other than updating myself from what I remember. The problems I’m currently having, though, are how you’re required to use certain functions in the program. The biggest pain in the math/geometry areas is drag and drop ruler function for measuring. It’s extremely difficult on the iPhone X, as trying to nab the “turn” points on the ruler usually ends up snagging and dragging the entire page around. With problems where you’re measuring the perimeter for lengths, it would be easier for the ruler to be tapped where it would align itself to the angle datum in place, then drag the ruler to measure it. I know that’s not a fix-all as some problems might need the user to make that angle drag, but I’m only up to the third grade and haven’t found them yet 😬. Thanks for the product you provide, with continued improvement it can be an extremely beneficial app for parents wanting to help their kids or learn themselves!

Really good for your brain💪. This app is really good for your brain like teachers can send you work And there are videos and stuff so it makes stuff easier Like you can just watch the videos and then be ready for your quiz that’s what I do just watch the video first and then do the quiz you should really try The advice I gave you so you’ll be ready for your quiz and then you can get 100% on it please whoever made this game write me back I am so good at writing reviews so actually whoever is reading this review you should download this app👌 this is the best app anybody has ever made it teaches you lots of skills as I said in the beginning it’s really good for your brain you should really download this it is so good for your brain

Great but…. I use this app a lot now because of summer I have a lot of assignments (around 150) and I can do them from my phone. The big problem with this is having to load every page, until I get to where I want to be. For example, when I go into my assignments it only shows ten and then I have to reload to get ANOTHER ten assignments. I’m ok (I guess) with loading every time but it takes way too much time. I have to wait a good 5 seconds to get my next 10 assignments every time. Not to mention I have to do this EVERY time I finish an assignment because it resets when I’m done with something. I think this could pretty easily be fixed just to make it go a little faster. Besides that the app is great.

Good, but I’m missing a few things.. Khan Academy is a superb learning resource, whether you’re a young person still in school, a young adult in college, or just someone who’s looking to brush up on specific subjects. I enjoy using it, however, there are some things that can be added, taken away, and improved upon: 1) Add the ability to view unit and subject progression within the app. This option is available on the web version of KA, and it really motivates me to complete lessons! However, I cannot view my progress within the iOS app, which represses my excitement and causes me to not use it as often, which is unfortunate. 2) Allow the user to make all videos watched if we’ve reached 100% on units! While the videos are helpful when I’m confused about a specific topic, most of the time, I already understand the concepts explained in the video, so sitting through a drawn out video stifles the momentum I build. 3) Sometimes when I finish a unit, I do forget some of the information given, so it’d be nice to be reminded to review important concepts when KA recognizes I haven’t taken the initiative to review on my own. Besides that, I really enjoy using Khan Academy as a whole, and with the changes I suggested, I believe it could become an even better and more intuitive learning resource.

Not Easy to Navigate. Don’t get me wrong; the idea and the content is excellent. Khan Academy is terrific and it gives my son something to do so his brain doesn’t turn to mush over the summer. My problem is specific to the app. I signed up my son and I’m his reviewer as it were. I don’t personally use it , although I might start; however, I need to be checking his progress and it seems extremely difficult to switch from my profile to his. I did it purely by accident and it should be much smoother than that. So the review asked how I like the app and I have to admit I don’t for the reason I said. I might have a different viewpoint if I start using the app for myself, but it is not user friendly for those of us who would like to be involved in our child’s education. Having said that, if logging in to it via browser, it’s not much easier. A “check your child’s (or whichever noun applies) progress” link would be simpler.

Great service; restrictive app. Khan Academy has been a staple for learning core subjects ever since I was in high school. There’s no doubt that the quality of the video content is excellent here. However I’m a bit disappointed in how unintuitive the app feels for learning. To quickly access courses, you have select the course(s) you want to study and you can only have up to 9 selected at a time. It would be a lot more intuitive to just have a menu item for courses; maybe having a “recently viewed courses” tab. Having to manually select classes like this feels a bit restrictive. And even though you have to select the courses you want to focus on, it’s difficult to tell from a glance the progress you are making in a certain course. Overall I think this service is better suited for use on PC.

No Progress. First off, I absolutely love khan academy! I’ve been using it for over a year on my laptop and log in almost daily, but lately I’ve been riding the bus or the train to Uni. WiFi’s not available and there’s not enough room to get my laptop out so when I found the app I got exited thinking I could use my phone. Unfortunately, when I logged in, I found that I had really just downloaded a blank profile of the website. Even after logging in the app provides no indication as to where I left off, my progress in any of the subjects, or even what courses I’m currently focusing on. Since the website is so simple and helpful, is it possible for the developers to just match the app to the site? The app would be really useful, but without progress tracking I find it’s better to just log in to the main site through explorer on my phone.

10 minutes a day adds up. I have two kids who do Khan Academy with me for ten minutes every day as part of their nightly bedtime routine. My kindergartner is doing third grade math. The kid is five and multiplying numbers like 6x7 without my help. My third grader is doing fifth grade math, which includes long division. I attribute most of their success to this app and the structured practice it provides. I truly believe that if a caring adult sits down to watch a video (or two) and do a practice with their kid every night, math rock stars will be the result. Khan Academy is one of the world’s greatest treasures, and it’s free. Give yourself and your kids a gift by sitting down to work on math skills a little bit each night.

Excellent Education Supplement. I love how Khan Academy supplies such a great extent of applicable knowledge. There are so many topics to learn, and the content is awesome and similar to content being used in schools and colleges. Using Khan Academy, I’ve been able to get better grades in school because I understand things more, and I’m also able to supplement my education with things that I won’t learn in school (certain biology, chemistry, physics concepts/applications) in preparation for a future job as a junior level scientist. So, I especially thank the developers/owners/etc.. for this application: if it wasn’t for you all, I might not have grown this feeling about myself being an awesome college student. Thank you!!!

Advance your kids!. I donate to this incredible organization every year. The consistent and regular use of Khan Academy over the last five years has resulted in our children being in the highest classes. With so many behavior problems not being treated at home, our public schools and classroom teachers are being burdened with an additional work requirement: become a behavioral psychologist to treat behavior problems that negatively impact the entire class. Sadly, some of these children are inadvertently taking entire classes hostage through no fault of their own (they should be given services outside of school to be able to come to school prepared to learn). This causes teacher burnout - they surely don’t have time or energy to boost the higher academic performers. Khan Academy boosts our children’s assessment scores, meaning they are able to be placed in advanced classes that don’t have as many children with basic behavioral problems, meaning more time will be spent learning. Thank you to Sal Khan and your entire team!

Don’t regret 😁❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. This game was a recommended by my aunt’s boyfriend buts that’s besides the point. I’m in love with this application ! However, I wish there was a higher level, like if you are really amazing at one subject you can level up. This might be a feature, and I’m just a starter. I also wish that you can see how you’re doing compared to other students in you’re grade or subject. Although this might bring student’s confidence go down, maybe there should be a setting that asks “enable board of leaders” or something else. You can also use my header, I think that’s what it’s called,. . I mean this program was free so, i do not regret purchasing this application .

Amazing and Helpful. This app is amazing! It helps me a lot and I definitely improved in every subject! Khan Academy is my #1 absolute favorite learning app! This learning app has many subjects such as: Math, science, etc. That’s not the only good thing! This app is very organized! They have: Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd grade, all the way up to 8th grade! After clicking what grade you’re in, you can choose what you want to learn! Ratios, Algebra, etc. Once you’ve click what you want to learn, they have videos and practices for you after learning it, they give you a quiz! Just like what REAL teachers do! What makes this game more fun is that they give you energy points whenever you get things correct! You also earn badges! I am in LOVE with this game! Thanks a lot for the help! 😊

Streaks, Badges, and More CS Content. I think it would be nice and motivating if I could see my streaks and badges in the iOS app, just like I can online. I miss being able to do that. Additionally, it would be really helpful to have more CS content on Khan Academy, especially based on standard CS curriculums in college, like data structures in Java and Python, discrete math, functional programming, and C Programming / Systems Programming. Also, it would be nice if there were tutorials about machine learning, human-computer interaction, computational linguistics, artificial intelligence, software engineering, and other “sub-subjects” within CS. I think it would be very useful for college students in rigorous CS programs, especially in times when over-enrollment, lotteries, and the inability to get into certain classes is a very prominent issue across colleges and universities in the United States.

Worse Educational Source. I believe that Khan Academy in general ( not only the app ) is just a system does not provide the help that is needed when a student is confused. I also believe that it makes the student frustrated with the system . The quiz and tests in my opinion the worst part from the whole thing . The quiz are very vague and when you are confused you get a hint or a video and the hint straight up gives you the answer and the video most of the time has nothing to do with the lesson . I have used this app recently and in the past and both times I had to take hours from my day to just finish one lesson . I DO NOT think that Khan Academy is the right place to find educational help , especially with math, it is confusing , hard to deal with , and in the end it hurts your grade and you just have to deal with it and it just isn’t fair . I would give this 0 stars if their was an option.

New update bums me out. I would love to give this 5 stars, Khan Academy is a wonderful concept and I am so grateful to them, but the new update is really bumming me out. I’m studying for the MCAT and I often listened to videos on my Bluetooth while driving in the car or doing chores. I liked closing the phone screen so I wasn’t distracted by the video pictures, but now I can’t do that. Before, I could have my phone closed, I could be on other apps, I could be on the web, and the video would play in the background. Now, unless the app is open, the videos will not play, and I have no idea why this function was taken away from us with the update. Please bring this function back and I will happily update to 5 stars

Issues. So when I do studies on here ( I am in the 7th grade ) so when I do the assignments on here, for some reason, like on his one question where it said, on like find the diagram, or like do an adding, or subtraction, to represent the diagram on here for integers, and like adding and subtracting them, so I put one right that said it was incorrect, but when I went onto the hints it said that it was wrong and it said one when I put one in it’s still said it was incorrect so I give us like a four or five stars because for some reason some of the answers you put are correct, but they counted as wrong and that needs to be a that Hass to have a bug that needs to be fixed until this is a really good website for learning

Amazing!. I love this app, it really helped me when I didn’t understand the material. If helped me pass my math test and I really understood what we were learning when I looked at Khan Academy. I’m going to give it five stars for that, but I wish that it would give you a hint and not take away the points. This is because I’m my class in order to get credit for doing the assignment you have to get at least a 75%. So if makes it difficult when I’m not really sure how to do the problem. Either way, this is really good when you need to study or when you don’t understand something. Thank you so much!! 😁😁
