Amazing!!!. It helped me beat my friend playing Words With Friends which I am pretty bad at. Most helpful app ever!!

Very disappointed.. Stick with Wolfram Alpha - this app excels at nothing other than chipping away at your net worth and increasing your icon count by one.

Really isn't that much different.... UI needs work as there are top header black space issues...plus it's not that much different then regular Wolfram Alpha it just organizes the categories pertaining to word choices you searching for. If you own Wolfram Alpha I would not recommend this Words addition since it does all this and more already.

Junk!!!!!!!!. Slow as hell and crashes every time... You can find a better one for free! Screw you for wasting my time!!!!!!

Overpriced and not useful.. The free, general app has the same information, or you could get a free dictionary app that will let you link from the results, instead of requiring a new search every time.

missing too many words. I play scrabble and attempted to use this app. Too many times words found in scrabble dictionaries were "unknown" on this app. No good.

Disappointing limited Lexicon. I bought this on Wolframs reputation and I am very disappointed in the limited lexicon. Most times Wolfram cannot find a word I am searching. I am going to remove this app because Webster's has a better success at finding definitions than Wolfram. I really expected more from Wolfram. I question whether the Wolfram of Mathmatica fame even still exists.

Just what I needed.. I'm always looking for unique words and information in crafting trivia puzzles for my app and this program helps tremendously.

Great uniqe word lookup. Saved me when I needed help coming up with ideas by word for my writing

Keyboard obscures screen when I type. With the Wolfram name I expected a great deal. I am disappointed. When I type in a word that needs definition, the keyboard obscures the text entry field. I can't see the words I am typing in.

Always crashing!!!. Great app, but always freezes and crashes. Please update!

Great app. Love it! Not everyone seems to be impressed but it works for me; there is never too late to learn something new ...

Was looking forward to purchasing this app.. But can away totally disappointed. given how great the WolframAlpha app is, I decided to flip a buck for this - and I wish I had that 99 cents back. The UI is hideous, and hasn’t been updated in years. The look, feel and response all seem from am iOS two, three versions ago. It does what it purports to do fairly well, but from an outfit such as Wolfram, I just expected more. So two stars for its creation, existence and filling a niche, but three stars off for horrible implementation and UI.

Does not do synonyms. Asked for synonyms for "generous" - no synonyms produced.

Engle's App of the Day. This does not replace a dictionary … rather, it adds useful utilities to a good internet dictionary, plus it is fun to use, which is why I have honored the Wolfram Words Reference App as my app of the day … this app may make me into a great poet for now I can rhyme :)

Useful. It's a useful app but it constantly crashes or freezes so I uninstalled it.

ok.... this is garbage on the ipod, but very useful on the ipad.

Unnecessary and Incomplete. Everything here can be done through the full WolframAlpha app or the WolframAlpha web site. If you've already paid for the full app, no need to shell out the additional buck for this. If you do buy it, prepare for disappointment. The words WA knows is a severely limited set. I attempted to use the Anagrams function to find anagrams of my name. It found none. The Internet Anagram Server finds almost 1400, and I could do a dozen just off the top of my head. If you happen to hit the words WA knows, the information is interesting and in-depth. I recommend the full app. though. You'll get much better value for that price.

Ok. This app is ok it has a lot of choice and it's great for scrabble but it needs to stop crashing everytime I go on it plz fix

I'm sorry, not impressed.. I usually like Wolf's products but this one is not very refined. Search engine seems to not understand more often than what it should. Not an improvement over my regular dictionary. I'd think that typing/pasting in the word once would be enough. I'll keep it, now that I've bought it, in hopes that improvements are in the works. I'd love to give this app 5 stars.

This app is useless. If you don't have an Internet connection this app is pretty much useless. I really don't find many apps that I hate but I can never use this one when I need it.

Somewhat lame. Could not compute a homophone (same sound different spelling) for the word 'won'. DUH! Some useful and interesting applications though. Needs improvement. It would be nice to be able to 'carry' the same word into each of the different engines in the app, instead of having to re enter it each time.

Needs work. Common Australian definitions missing. Works on iPad 2 but locks up on iPhone 4S immediately. Tried reinstall and restart of device with no luck. Would be nice to be able to search for a word and then have definition, synonym, etc displayed as one scrollable result

The Best!. Very good app with plenty of features

Accessibility. The user interface is very unfriendly for someone with a vision impairement. I like the idea, but would like the font/layout to be abit "eaiser" on the eye. I think the designers could at the very least, offer a larger font, and a second "layout" choice of white font on black background?! I'd like to be refunded for this App as it's not much good if I can't read it!

Needs more work. Immediately freezes on startup on iphone 4S. Starts to work after 30 secs or so and then very slow and working intermittently. Also, has some definite words missing! Please upgrade as this isn't a cheap app!!!

buggy, overpriced, under-designed. Wolfram Alpha should be embarrassed to have their name on this half-baked app. When it works, it's surprisingly unhelpful. When it doesn't work, the error messages (or lack thereof) are confusing. I try it periodically (naively) and it's 50-50 whether it will even return an answer for something simple like finding words containing "qu".

Horrible. Poorly designed, poorly executed, and incredibly shallow information. Got fooled by the Wolfram name.
