Twitch: Live Game Streaming Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Some kinks but otherwise good. There’s quite a few things that could be implemented that the mobile version doesn’t have yet, but desktop does. I did notice that there is no longer a pop-out version for Twitch anymore and it’s frustrating that I can’t watch streams in a mini pop-up anymore while doing other tasks. Edit: after several updates the small media pop-out option is still broke and does not work. Twitch also has a glitch where they keep having your stream crash and restart a dozen times, sending a dozen notifs to your followers that can be quite annoying. Twitch studios software has also bee a huge reason for concern as the last several times I’ve streamed using it, it crashes the stream and then restarts it, as well as the layers I set will often times disappear and I need to reupload them. So I am removing yet another star till atleast some of these problems are fixed.

Error problems. I’ve been having nothing but problems for the past few months since the coronavirus. I guess they gave up on this app or are too lazy to fix the problems with it. There’s not even a place to complain about the issues. I know Twitch doesn’t care about iPhone app problems because they don’t get any money from Apple. That’s why there’s not a subscribe button on there. Because Apple doesn’t make any money from Twitch. But it doesn’t explain the reason why I can’t get anything other than an error on my phone or on Xbox. There’s always loading issues and error problems. And no way to complain about it. When I do get to see somebody stream I can’t chat. Somebody needs to fix this or just ditch it and remove the app completely. I pay good money for subscriptions I can’t even watch the channels.

Would be 4 or higher but. I have loved twitch for a long time, but when they removed the host option I lost a lot of respect. Simply because they just stonewalled streamers. Hosting someone was one of the best and easy ways to help a streamer reach people who they might otherwise never have reached. I feel that this is both a power move and to try and save money so they don’t have to pay as many streamers. Sure the share option is still there but that don’t help near as much unless, you as a person, have a big following. Meaning now if you want to help a small streamer grow, you need to have a large following and hope that they are willing to help the streamer you like. Instead of hosting them on your channel and keeping the stream live as long as they’re live. Passive traffic has dropped off due to this. And it’s really sad that a streaming service would do something like this to make it harder for anyone actually trying.

Close to perfect. If your into finds my quality content creators especially gaming Twitch is the place to be. The only thing that’s always driven me crazy to the point I almost gave only 4 stars is all the QUALITY broadcasters that are buried in such a saturated market. You must sift through hundreds to find a few hidden gems. “Partner” streams or “Featured” channels have put in the grind and deserve it but some of these other upstarts have no prayer to cut through the noise. With that said the majority of people sitting through directories do not take the time to sift to the streams at the bottom with little to no views. I find that to be the Consoles (XBOX & PS4) fault for making it so ez for any toxic 12 year old with a console can connect and upload toxic trash. So considering at the end of the day it’s not all on Twitch? I went ahead with 5 stars for the app. good for tips, & tricks for any gamer and other IRL streams as Well.

New update. I have been a bit frustrated with the new update for the twitch mobile app. I have an iPhone 10, so the corners of my screen are rounded off and when I go to full screen the top and bottom of the video get cut off, along with things being blocked by where the camera is placed. This used to not be a problem because they left a blank space on each side of the screen so that it all fit in frame, but now especially while watching games like Minecraft where the bottom of the video is very important(the players inventory and the chat box) is impossible to see. This can be frustrating to watch and take away from my overall experience as a viewer. Another bug I have encountered is that often when I start to type in chat it will make the stream lag, causing the video and audio to get out of sync. Reloading/refreshing the page always fixes it, but leaves me waiting through an ad. This makes me less inclined to interact in chat, which is one of the best features of twitch. Besides these two bugs I absolutely love this app and the community that Twitch has created!

It was great until a recent update kinda ruined it for me. One of the things that I like about Twitch is being able to clip moments from my favorite streamers, being able to edit and trimming the clips was always fun to do and letting you see how the clip turned out during and in the end of the trimming process was always satisfying. However after I recently updated the app the clips that I, well clipped, weren’t showing during the trimming process making it hard for me to know what unnecessary fluff I need to take out. So I pretty much gotta leave the clip unedited and hope that I timed it right which isn’t fun for me if I don’t know how it turns out after trimming it. I don’t know if I’m the only one with this problem but if I’m not and others have this problem and they can fix that issue that’ll be great and I might give it a 5 star because I actually like the app. Update: a recent update fixed it, so now I’m happy and will give it 5 stars.

Design Problem fixed!. UPDATE: the below problem was fixed! Thank you for making hype train stop taking up all the screen on mobile! Keeping the original review below to show that there was a problem but it was resolved. Obviously still not a perfect app, with problems such as implementation of DMCA rules, but at least the UI designers are trying, thanks :) Please fix this design problem. When I am watching a stream on mobile (iPhone XR) in horizontal mode with chat, if a Hype Train appears, it extends the chat to over half of the screen space. This makes watching the stream harder, as it becomes very small in comparison to the chat. Please don't force the Hype Train to make chat bigger, or give an option to remove seeing it entirely please! When I am watching my favorite streamers sometimes the Hype Train lasts several minutes and I have to decide whether to not see chat or not see the stream well. Other than that, great app/service.

Buggy. The new update with that collapsible side menu has brought on a bunch of bugs. The ones that are plaguing me right now are the lack of tag filters (I always have English selected and now no tags show up at all which floods categories with channels I’m not interested in), I always sort by high to low viewers but that is constantly getting reset to the recommended sort, and the search icon sometimes doesn’t work. Usually the search is in the side menu but sometimes it’s replaced with esports in it’s spot and the magnifying glass icon is up in the right corner like it used to be except you can’t actually click on it in the corner. That means I have to close and restart the app any time I want to search (which in turn means another set of ads when I have to rejoin the channel I was watching). Also I just generally dislike the side menu thing. The user experience on iPad is worse with it. I do appreciate that the hype train banner was made much smaller though.

Lost streams. I been using this app for a long time and its very good but the thing that I'm frustrated about is the streams disappearing or being deleted now if who I'm following is doing that Im fine with that but is twitch is doing that it makes me frustrated cause some people stream for long hours and sometimes I don't have that time and it will take me a while to finish it but twitch rushes you and you don’t get to enjoy the stream cause if you don't watch it “fast enough” its being deleted which upsets me when ever I just started watching a streaming series or the streamer im following start playing something new that I have interest in but then I miss out and others that I missed out on too cause people don’t have 10 hours in a day to finish it so A. Can you make a option where you can bring back any lost streams and maybe to where you can save it for later or B. bring back the streams and let the viewer finish them then you can delete them again later when their done watching, this would help a lot of people and me who are busy in life. also the multiple search bar functions be brought back cause sometimes twitch will bug and it wont let me search anything then I have to close snd reopen it and the one search bar thing is so slow to use when you wanna search multiple things.

Twitch prime running ads. I used to get so many hours of enjoyment out of this app as a twitch prime member. I could channel surf with ease and go back and forth between all of my favorite streamers. I loved the freedom of being able to watch any streamer I wanted for 30 second or 30 minutes. Now that they have introduced ads to twitch prime members, it makes this app almost unusable. To watch a 30 second ad almost every time I switch channels completely ruins the experience for me. I literally hesitate to open the app every time I want to watch one of my favorite streamers. I previously used this app for multiple hours a day and since the change I have only used it maybe 2-3 times. There needs to be an premium option to remove ads! Subscribing to individual channels doesn’t help. What I liked about twitch was the ability to watch more than a dozen streamers in a 30 minute watch session, freely surfing between channels. Please do something about this!! I want to use twitch again without ads! I would pay a similar price to what I pay for a Netflix or Sirius radio subscription to watch ad free.

ANALYTICS PLEASE!!! FIX THIS!!!. I have a unique situation where I cannot make any money of any type that is taxable or I will lose my SSI. I’m an OIF veteran and retired when I was 22. I stream the “Graveyard Shift” 12-6am. I don’t rely on the viewers you CAN see. I rely on the ones you CAN’T see. Unique Viewer, “lurkers”, Live Views, etc. Also it’s a “Quiet Place”. No chatting or talking. Some how this method works. But it only works if I can see my Analytics while I’m streaming. Last week I could. And then when my channel started jumpin yall took it away or its glitched. Whatever. That email summary is irrelevant to me. I don’t want anybody I there I can see or hear. The analytics lets me know if my viewers are losing interest and helps me decide what is more profitable to stream. I’ve noticed that people (like me) have a short attention span. They dont want to watch 200 hours of Forbidden West. Anyway please fix this. It’s my livelihood. Thank you! OH YEAH and I am not authorized to create or alter my schedule on the app. I have to use Safari to go to the browser and do it. But there’s a “Schedule” on the app… why don’t I have access?

Streaming, simplified.. I’ve used Twitch for years, and I’ll try to keep this review as un-biased as possible following the fact that I also now dwell into streaming onto this platform. To start off, Twitch makes watching your favorite streamer fun, whether it be the subscriptions I can purchase to support my favorite streamers in favor for things such as emotes to keep up with the chat hype or using channel points to get the streamers attention, it amazes me how simple it is to keep me engaged in the stream. Another thing I should mention is how easy it is to keep up with your favorite streamers, on twitch, the following system shows your followed streamers and if they’re active when you boot up the app, and getting into the stream is a click on their icon if they’re live, this makes keeping up with things such as Kai Cenat’s Subathon easier to not miss out on. Overall when it comes to watching streams and having a overall good time, Twitch is where I reside.

Not for conservatives, they are removing them !. Please note that Twitch has manage to kick out the majority of the conservative voices who we’re streaming!they do allow Nudity though so I guess it’s a porn channel now, I was on for streaming with You tube removing conservatives now Twitch is, Duane Cates just got booted for claiming misinformation without a explanation of what he misinformed but I thought that was up to each viewer, I thought we had a 1 amendment right in this country, and he wasn’t Even streaming anything medical or science related! This is election interference! Just because they got there panties in a bunch when Trump ratings go up and will be back in the White House! So we take our business to rumble where I suggest if you are a America loving person then open a rumble account because twitch will eventually drop you that’s how the shut out conservatives! To bad twitch there are plenty of platforms better than what you stream so good luck to all that use it and hopefully one day we will hold these platforms accountable for shutting peoples first amendment rights down!

Was Good, Not Anymore. The app used to run great on both my phone and tablet but as of late it seems to have some weird latency issues. I thought maybe it was my connection but if I pull stream up on my PC using the same wifi connection I have zero issues. If that were it I’d maybe give the app 3 or 4 stars, but there is just so many odd design choices, more than I care to list. For example, why do the clips of recent streams appear above live channels? How many people go to Twitch to watch VODs/clips primarily? That feature should be moved and honestly for the small screen real estate I have on my small tablet I don’t want it taking space from the content I actually want, so being able to take it away all together would be the best. The ability to load in default audio only would be nice and maybe some Apple CarPlay integration so I can listen from my car without having to go through unlocking my phone, hitting play in the app, locking my phone, hitting play on my radio just to sometimes have it not work.

Amazing, but!. Overall, the Twitch mobile app is a great tool for casual viewers who want to stay up-to-date with their favorite streamers on-the-go. The app is well-designed and easy to navigate, with all of the features you need to watch and interact with your favorite Twitch channels. One thing that would improve the app is the addition of a search bar for emotes. While the app allows you to use emotes in the chat, it can be difficult to find the specific one you want without a search feature. Adding this functionality would make it much easier for users to communicate with streamers and other viewers. That being said, the app is near perfect for anyone who wants to watch Twitch streams on the go. The interface is user-friendly, and the app includes all of the essential features such as following channels, viewing recommended streams, and browsing through previously watched streams. Additionally, the app offers a great viewing experience, with the ability to adjust video quality and access full-screen mode, even low latency mode! In summary, while a search bar for emotes would be a nice addition, the Twitch mobile app is an excellent tool for casual viewers who want to stay connected to their favorite streamers on mobile. The app is easy to use, with a clean interface and a host of useful features that make it a must-have for any Twitch fan.

I’m frustrated with an issue. I was streaming today for an half of an our filming a craft that I was doing. When I stopped filming I went to check the video and it said it was only 44 seconds long. I just thought that it was a glitch until I watched the video. I had sat making the part two of making a lantern for so long. I had spent 30 minutes making this stream only for it to cut and end up 44 seconds long even though it was way longer than that. It took me two and a half days to make the lantern. I was so happy to show the finished product and the steps it took to make it to my viewers. Now I’m really upset about what had happened. I understand glitches and bugs happen that you guys don’t no about. This is a glitch that can make people leave really bad reviews so I would try getting it fixed as soon as possible but thank you for trying your hardest to keep this app up and running. Other wise I really enjoy using the app. Thank You!

Feedback. Needs improvement; Twitch could certainly use some new and fresh ideas in terms of viewers/viewing capabilities, native communication is basic at best yet struggles with latency throughout the app. When asked, the initial response given was from long time users of Twitch, which was great! others not so much mentioning several technical problems from namely the app in and of itself with a few other hiccups here and there as expected however Twitch in it’s entirety is a brilliant platform as well as a great way to showcase any and all of your talents if you will. Continually Twitch will keep providing us with UI glitches more often than not currently there is no way suggest anything aside from writing a long neutral review about said inability, currently there is no way (that I am aware of) to exit a video you’re streaming without closing the app one would think of this to taken care of already and maybe it is or their working on it, if not then the solution is right here, all of which could be provided at a small nominal fee 😉😏

Great App..The worst Customer I’ve ever seen. Looking at the app from a developmental standpoint, the app is terrific. Outside of little things like not being able to change your profile picture, everything seems to run smoothly. However after having the app for a while I noticed that my email for some reason wasn’t linked to my profile. I tried to fix it from The Xbox app on the console but no luck. Then since I was already logged in on my phone,I tried it there, still no luck. I then logged out and that’s when I really started to get upset. My password and login info stopped working once I logged out then the reset emails weren’t sending and kept saying my account doesn’t exist. I thought I would email and it would be a 2 day fix...wrong! I’ve sent roughly 10 emails in almost 2 months and nothing from them at all. I received a bot reply saying I hope the problem fixed itself, when prompted to email back if it isn’t. They again just ignored my emails. The brand new game I wanted to stream is now 2 months old and I don’t even want to play it considering now no one wants to watch it. Twitch Customer Service officially ruined playing my games while streaming.

Great App. I know twitch has been around for a while but I didn’t feel like I needed another broadcasting app. However, since 2020 I’ve been on twitch a lot since there is so much time now lol. I gotta say, it is a great way to connect with your favorite content creator. I’ve been noticed by the smallest content creator to the big ones who either have a huge following on twitch or are famous from another platform. My only issue is this app lags. Say I start watching a stream on my iPhone and then I switch to my laptop, the steam will be delayed. Other than that, it is a good app to make some friends for discord. I’m an introvert so I don’t really talk in chat but I’ve seen many people become friends in chats. Just to note: I think memberships and bits are pretty expensive and they run out super quick like I think after a month but that’s just my opinion lol. Okay.

New update garbage on ios. App was fine prior to last update. Freezes constantly and completely locks up your screen you have to open and close multiple time till app actually closes completely and restart again once it close To get it reopen properly. Ios app as a whole it terrible if you mod anywhere your a glorified chatter with a hammer cant do any real mod functions to create interaction with the community. Not sure if thats twitch's fault or ios being to controlling either way seems as though it shoulda been a simple fix 2 years ago but here mods are still waiting to have mod functions. Fix it for real kicks available and becoming a very viable option to alot of growing content creators. Not a time to suddenly be subpar or we can all buy androids and stream to kick instead 🤷‍♂️but who am i thats just my personal feeling as of late as someone that spends the majority of my days being a lack luster mod in several communities due to you app and device functions not existing. Ive even tried loading pc version from browser which is even worse if you do manage to get a poll or prediction started in a chat from there good luck on the app not freezing long enough to pay it out. FIX IT for real!

This must be out sourced to people who never used apps. I love how I can sync accounts like twitch to my discord. That’s how you get into sub only discord’s and this app makes it so easy! Oh wait no it doesn’t. You can log into your twitch but it won’t show you ANY DISCORD CHANNELS. ok fine. I’ll log in online. Sorry no login screen on the home page of discord while on mobile. Fine I’ll dig in even more and find the most hard to find link online to log in. Now I need to spend 30 minutes clicking buses on a “I’m not a bot” window more times than it takes to log into a major bank account or credit report monitor. Awesome, now I should be logged in right? Nope. An error saying you’re on the wrong type of discord. Why do I need to log into a computer to check or join “connections” discord’s. Has no one in the company ever been a human. It’s insane. Use the app. More than just once. Try things normal people want to do. Fix the website. Realize mobile browsers aren’t flip phones anymore and give actual full features on the site instead of less than the app even gives. If discord didn’t have a monopoly I’d wonder how the hell theyre still in business

The most recent update is awful.. I tried stalling the update after seeing what was involved, but I could only delay it so long. The most recent update introduced buttons on the side of the screen, and chat on the bottom of the screen when in horizontal viewing. I cannot find a way to toggle this feature off, so it is just stuck there. Twitch probably figured that having these buttons here would increase interactions by making it easier, but instead it’s driving me away from the app. The problem is that video games, the primary media viewed on twitch, already make heavy use of the sides of the screen. The HUD for video games, and any sort of informative overlay in esports use the sides and bottom to convey important information so that they don’t interfere with the main components of the game. And now, Twitch has decided that on mobile, their stuff is more important than the piece of media I am trying to consume. This isn’t an ad that ends after time. This isn’t interactivity that goes after not touching the screen for a bit. These are bits/cheers/messages that sit on the screen the entire time, preventing me from seeing the stuff I want to see. If you’re gonna fundamentally alter how users can interact with your platform, at least give us the option to turn it off. If not, I’m probably gonna stop using the app. What’s the point if I can’t see the the game?

This Probably won’t be seen.. But the advertising is becoming a big issue. Not only there is far too much advertising especially the annoying ones GOD plz atleast choose advertising that is worthwhile to watch. But the advertisements have gotten so troublesome that it is literally causing saved streams to restart from 0:00:00 every time. This advertising has gotten so ridiculous that its about time for someone to revolutionize the way advertisements are handled. So it won’t be as annoying and disruptive as it currently is. I for one appreciate advertisements in the middle of shows, its the same as watching tv. But when it gets this disruptive, this annoying, this detrimental to an actual feature of your product it begs you to question why don’t anyone want to figure out a much better and more consumer-efficient way to show there advertisements. But you know what you wanna keep being this careless with this advertising fine I got plenty other things to watch!

App structure. I think twitch is cool and different than other platforms. I have a couple channels that I follow and browse some others that peak my interest occasionally. There are some issues that I have with it tho. When you open the app, the first thing you see are other channels that are being promoted or match who you are currently following. The channels you follow are at the bottom and you have to scroll all the way down just to get to them. Put the ones I’m following at the top for quick access, please. Also, I understand that the app is for ages 17+ but when you open the app and the channels that are being promoted show up, I’d rather not have a bunch of pages of girls with every part of their anatomy hanging out as the first thing you see. A good 2/3 of the channels are like this. I don’t even follow channels like them; just some gaming channels and a couple where the women actually wear all their clothes and talk about everyday life. Yet they are spread all over my front page in string bikinis in hot tubs. I’d rather not open the app and look like some creep who views those kinds of adult channels when I don’t. It’s like you have to open the app with your phone or tablet covered in case there’s someone else looking by mistake. Maybe I’ll look through the app and see if I can fix things myself or hopefully the app is updated in the future.

Why do these apps make bad updates. Why do you apps make bad decisions by updating the app to where the notification’s are turned off or can get turned off? Trying to make it even harder for people to receive support from the people that are subscribed to the channels by removing the notifications? Making it where they could get little to no views. These apps make bad decisions and which defeats the whole purpose of having subscribers and defeats the whole purpose of using the app. Just because people miss a few streams doesn’t mean that the app should send the subscribers notifications implying them to turn off the notifications. Which could lead to them unsubscribing to the channel. The app should encourage people to join the next stream. They should stop messing with the notifications and let the people decided on their own whether they want them on or off and the app shouldn’t make that decision for the people. The app should turn on and leave on all notifications.

People should only get banned for one day. hear me out. Honestly, I enjoy the platform a lot however, me and my younger brother share the same account and he is really immature because he has autism so he would end up saying things really inappropriate thinking. It’s funny in some of my favorite streamers chats and end up getting banned and since we share accounts, that means I am also bad too and he has did this to some of my favorite streamers like defective nutt, frost fox, and even dream. And I know you can appeal your ban but I am still banned. I even gave the peel some time, but my band still didn’t get appealed, so hear me out if someone says something inappropriate and that certain streamer bins them, it should be one day then the next time to get banned it’s 2 day then if they get banned one more time it’s permanent I know some people will disagree with me, but it’s a lot better than having to appeal bans I hope twitch sees this, and if you do, I hope this gets added into the app Goodbye. Oh and if there are some misspellings, I do have dyslexia and I’m not the best at writing so yeah

Mobile finally doing well. I love the streamers I watch on twitch. I’m going to watch them regardless of my experience, but the experience can definitely cause frustration when it’s not working. There’s been a lot of headaches (annoyances) over the years on the mobile app and each update that would bring features also seemed to bring some annoying bugs. I say this as someone who will use this app most of my waking hours. Even at work or on a commute I’ll have it running but be listening in only. I’ve realized that the annoyances I’ve been having have significantly improved. I no longer feel like Im missing out by not watching from my PC. Picture on picture mode was a huge improvement. Im not stuck having to stop listening/watching when i need to multitask. Low latency mode brought to mobile no longer makes me feel behind the community in the chat. Ability to do sound only mode is excellent for lower connection areas (perfect while I’m driving!) and even when bugs come with new updates twitch is actually making some quick fixes now. I’m impressed. For years it felt like the app was an afterthought. They’ve turned a new leaf everyone!

Some problems. A bug still exists that has for a long time where when in dark mode, certain movements or actions can cause the app to switch to light mode, which takes a long time and 4 menu pages to flip through to turn it back on which is inconvenient and slightly annoying. Another issue exists that when you are watching a stream in full screen mode and you double tap to open chat, and you click on a chatter’s name, a menu will pop up that allows you to gift them a sub, or look at their info etc. The problem is that when this menu pops up when in fullscreen (phone sideways), there’s no way to close the menu; you can’t click anywhere to get rid of the menu as it takes up the entire screen, and the only way to close it is to flip your device and go back to non-fullscreen, tap anywhere outside of the menu, and it’ll close. Again, this is an issue that has a solution but requires a lot of time spent to undo which can be annoying for users. A simple fix would be to add a close button for this menu, both in fullscreen and non-fullscreen. Similar to the last issue, when you tap on emotes in chat, the only way to close the menu is to click outside the menu which can be difficult/inconvenient. The same solution exists where all that is needed for this problem is to add exit buttons to menus.

Very solid but still loads of room for improvement. I have been viewing twitch more and more and honestly the best twitch experience on mobile is this app. But there are a few things that if implemented, would greatly enhance the app. There have been a few times where I wanted to link my twitch and prime accounts but there is no option to do so on this mobile app. It would be great to be able to support my favorite creators with out worrying about missing a chunk of their stream. Overall there are a variety of features lacking on the app that really make me feel like I’m missing out while being a primarily mobile user. The only benefit to getting twitch prime on mobile is the crown symbol next to my name in chat. Besides lack of subscription options there is virtually no customization available except my profile picture. I know it’s not easy giving the pc experience on an app but the iOS app should be equal in features to computer. If they do so I believe many of the user base would prefer viewing from mobile.

A major suggestion. I did not know this app defaults to auto play. Not to say there’s anything wrong with auto playing streams themselves but I was not aware of it and as a result I assumed a stream would end if I let the phone be. Halfway through a late night stream, I fell asleep without worries. However, I woke up and found my phone went from 100% to 13%. The streams stopped it from naturally falling into sleep mode after I unplugged it and set it to low power mode. This night of nonstop video playing no doubt harmed my phone battery’s maximum capacity, meaning it will be quicker to drop to 0% in the future and I did not intend for that. My suggestion is that you please make a pop up for mobile that stops the stream, live or otherwise, and asks the viewer “Are you still there?” after one or two auto plays have already occurred without outside input. If there’s no further response, the phone can fall into sleep mode. If there is someone still watching, they’ll tap ‘Yes’ and keep watching. Anyway, I’ve turned off auto play in settings, so this problem won’t happen for me again. But I still I wouldn’t want any people starting out with this app to make the same mistake I did.

Optimization. Edit: Even viewing the subscribed channel has been dreadful. With audio bug, video bug, random error msgs that force quit stream, after that, loading signs that takes forever. What a performance by the biggest streaming service. I go on twitch mainly to watch live streaming service and connecting with the gaming community. The current layout makes it impossible to enjoy what twitch offers. On full screen, chat taking half of the screen is okay, but the other buttons such as follow, subscribe buttons and streamer descriptions taking the other screen is just too much, especially when i have already subscribed or followed the streamer. When i open the chat the actual gameplay takes less than 20% of the full screen. As twitch updates its mobile applications it makes me not want to use the app. It becomes more and more inconvenient to users. Also please let users decide what they want to do when the ad is playing. I’m watching the stream at 460p trying to save data and this 5min ad comes out in 1060p. No way to change it. Maybe ill try to subscribe when the ad is playing or follow the streamer but it is not available. These buttons and descriptions that are annoying when people are actually watching the stream will be useful when people are watching the ad.

The app has been made unusable after a recent update. While the app has always had problems with stability no matter when you look at it, as of recently it’s been extremely unstable. The slightest wrong move and you’ll freeze the video you’re watching. But not only that, if you close your app and then try to come back to the video and resume progress, your app immediately freezes every time! Another problem exists where if you switch from landscape to portrait, and back again, you’ll cause the dimensions of the video to be out of whack (basically shrinks the picture and puts it in the top left corner and leaves the rest of the space where your video should be blank) and when you try to get the original dimensions of your video back by switching between the two modes, lo and behold, the app freezes! It works as it’s supposed to for pretty much everything else, although i can think of a few minor nitpicks. Like when fast forwarding and rewinding through past broadcasts clears the chat each time instead of the chat simply being synced with the video. As I’m trying to test the app to find these minor issues, my app is now freezing no matter what video or stream i try to watch. It’s truly never been this unstable, but currently, the app is unusable garbage.

Great idea, horrific experience. I absolutely love live streams, and twitch in general. I’ve been on the twitch bandwagon for longer than most, but can’t help to notice these extremely common, frustrating bugs. I will play live streams or VODs, and the audio will just go out. I used to be able to close out stream, change video quality, or close out app to fix it, but that is no longer the case. The only fix I have been able to find as of late is to completely uninstall and reinstall the app. I am now doing this 10+ times per day, and that’s unacceptable. If this issue isn’t solved by the end of this week, I’m just going to go watch someone else re upload one of your creator’s livestreams. Which mean that’s neither you, or the streamer you pretend to help will be making any money off of me, and I will cancel my multiple subscriptions.

Broken App. I started having issues with the bonus chests a little while ago, when I tried to claim them it didn’t work and a message would pop up saying “Claim failed, please try again later”. So then after that happened I would just delete and redownload the app and then just keep it open, and it would work fine for a while. But now that’s not working, I just can no longer claim the bonus chests at all. I tried deleting and redowloading the app and I tried logging out and logging back in to my account, but neither of those worked, so then out of curiosity I tried using twitch on Safari and used the desktop version, and on there the chests work perfectly fine but it’s very annoying to use it like that. Oh yeah, and I also recently discovered that when you tap on people’s usernames in the chat it doesn’t bring up their profile and it also brings up an error message, so there are probably other things that are broken that I just don’t know about. Please fix it soon! Like I said, it’s been like this for some time but now there is no way for me to temporarily fix the issue, so I would really appreciate for it to just be fully resolved already!

Easy to use, ethically shady. I’ll cut to the chase: Twitch pushes a lot of ads onto the user as soon as they open any stream they’re not subscribed to. It can be anywhere from one five second ad to eight thirty second ads. Furthermore, they’ll intermittently push MORE ads from that range (more often than not landing on two or three thirty second ads) unless the streamer is doing it hourly on their own initiative. The format and the like ability of their streamers is twitch’s saving grace. Unfortunately their current set up makes it almost impossible to willingly discover new people to watch. I’m also not 100% sure on this, but I heard that their creator deals are being lowered to 50% revenue for either side, which is the lowest I’ve heard a social media platform go with their affiliates. Twitch feels like a money grab and any good community it has, has nothing to do with twitch itself but entirely with the streamer it pertains to. Twitch has demonstrated time and time again an utter lack of care for all its streamers, even their poster children and highest earning streamers.

Missing Key Functionality. So, no issue with streaming performance, but either A) there is a LOT missing from the app, or B) it’s super un-intuitive and these things are impossible to find. Missing features include: - The ability to subscribe to a channel via mobile. - The ability to see existing subscriptions and when they expire. - The ability to change your profile picture. - The ability to easily get to a channel’s home page if they are live. (I am forced to go into the live video, often causing blaring audio even when my phone is silenced, and then have to poke around to find a way to get to the channel’s home screen and THEN I have to terminate the still playing video). - A means to set subscriptions to auto-renew. (Unable to find this on the web version either - maybe just a missing feature?). All in all, forcing me to log into the site severely inhibits the app’s on the fly functionality. I’d think these item would be a priority as the easier it is to manage things, the more likely people are to download/open the app. While not a huge amount of competition in this market, it just takes one competitor doing it better to start stealing people away. If these features are missing, I’d recommend adding them. If they are just hard to find, I’d recommend either re-thinking the layout or adding an overlay tutorial that walks through functionality for users. Something that launches initially for brand new users and can be launched at will for people needing a refresher.

What is going on at Twitch HQ?. I’ve used the twitch iOS app primarily on an iPad. Each successive update seems to make it worse and worse. I tend to minimize twitch into a window while I work with other apps. In the past, this wasn’t a problem, the stream would keep playing and required minimal attention from me. Today, September 2019, not so much. The windowed mode of twitch on an iPad frequently becomes unresponsive, such that I need to completely close out the app and restart it. If ads play in windowed mode, I lose the window and have to re-open the stream I had open. A year or so ago, this wasn’t a problem. I could leave a twitch window running all day on my iPad without it crapping out within 30 minutes. Now, I frequently have to re-launch the app when it ‘breaks’. Unsurprisingly, when it breaks, I get to watch ads again. Please go back to the drawing board on this app. Go back two years, find what made it work so well, and implement it now. Today’s iOS twitch app is just a pile of s*it compared to how good it used to be.

Bugs and excessive ads. There is a recent bug that causes audio from a stream to keep playing even after it is closed, which results in multiple instances of audio playing at once, forcing a restart of the app. Also, why did they remove the button to put the stream picture-in-picture mode so you can watch it outside of the app? For a little while, it would automatically put you in picture-in-picture mode when you would minimize the stream. But now, the picture-in-picture stream doesn't stay open anymore when you close the app. For some reason, you can get the stream playing when you close the app, but only if you swipe up very, very precisely with some arbitrary momentum (I'm on an iphone with no home button) And the ads... man... they are getting ridiculous. Instant 30 second ad after switching streams makes switching to another stream to see another perspective of something happening impossible. And the blocks of 5-7 ads that are all 15-30 seconds long are appearing much more frequently on streams as well. At least get some good ads if you plan on shoving them in everyone's faces. Don't you guys already make enough money from subscribers and turbo?

Needs polish. I love having twitch on my phone, but in its current state, mobile twitch is strictly worse than twitch on PC. There are lots of annoying bugs and quirks that all culminate in making it really annoying to use. For some reason, there is always a delay between the stream and chat that doesn’t appear on PC. In a recent update they made it so your phone itself has to be in dark mode to make twitch dark mode too, instead of just letting you toggle it from settings. This makes it really annoying when you want to switch from one app to another and keep turning dark mode on and off. Also, sometimes when I’m using twitch in light mode, it will magically toggle onto dark mode when I turn my phone sideways and then go back to light mode when I turn it right side up. Another major problem is that you can’t go to a streamers channel while they are live, so if you want to unfollow them or turn off notifications you are forced to watch an ad every time. If twitch mobile actually worked properly then I would give it a 5 star review.

Nice but app’s update timing…. I’m a newcomer over 6 weeks. App has some interesting features for live stream segments with content streamers and chat. But last Thursday after 5pm, I got an update notice during the same time I was trying to get on Sasha Grey’s live stream segment (not a recent one). Held off the update but most of things were affected; her live stream froze and live chat was stuck in limbo. I could not update while on public transit to home. There’s no wifi signal until I got home; I updated the app. I tried getting on an hour left of Sasha’s live segment, I was kept out with a brief message on the lower bottom frame I tried to read, only appeared 2 seconds then disappeared before I could finish reading it. Don’t know why I wasn’t allowed to attend her segment. Either her chat room was full or something else from the update affected the app from letting me attend her live segment(s) I subscribed for 3 months. I’m not that interested in viewing recent streams since users cannot interact with the streamer(s) nor with others in chat. Now I’m considering on dumping this app since the update affected a number of things and most of the content streamers I’m not familiar with.

Can’t pause or hide chat on twitch app. So when I click onto a stream first thing you get hit with is a 30 second ad. Every time. Going off of that I usually use twitch on my computer and I have the option to pause a stream/hide chat if I wanted to but on the mobile version that isn’t the case I tap the screen and nothing shows up no options to pause no options to even turn on captions or to even change the quality of the stream and say I click off the stream to go answer a text message I go back to watch the stream and it starts it over (I was watching a old stream at the time) so it’s either you sit through the whole stream and god forbid you accidentally click off because when you click back on your at the beginning and can’t skip the stream forward to where you we’re because there’s no screen options :) It’s super annoying and really inconvenient I just wanted to leave this review before I uninstall this app from my phone maybe some changes will be made for the future but I doubt it

App Needs Work for Mobile Devices. I have the app for both my phone and iPad. I have never Live Streamed from my Phone, but I attempted a few weeks ago to do a Live Stream from my iPad because of technical issues with my computer. There was no real tutorial process of how much of anything worked for someone NEW to the Twitch app (had the same similar issues with the PC app version) and I could not make heads or tails of if I was actually LIVE or not. It just kept giving me a screen that was my cam, but appeared that it was still loading and this went on for a while. I also kept accidentally re-setting my stream details, only because I was trying to figure out what everything did (and that’s frustrating when you’ve told your viewers you are going live, only to have it take forever, it feels like, to get things up and going). The app for mobile devices and non-mobile definitely still needs some work in my book, but thankfully since I’ve been using it for a bit on my PC I have a better handle for it now, but when I first started I did NOT feel it was very New Streamer friendly.

I love this app but.... Let me get this out of the way: almost all the problems with twitch are erased on a computer. Whether on the site or on the app, on a computer everything works perfectly. However, on the phone it lacks a lot of what it needs. You can’t subscribe with twitch prime for some reason, and it’s much harder to navigate on mobile than on pc. The other problems are the sub tokens they added and buying bits. Why did they add sub tokens? They’re just kind of stupid, why would I buy sub tokens before instead of just subbing to who I want? The last problem is bits. The price of bits makes no sense. Ive been told before it’s about a cent per bit, but then why is it seven dollars for 500 bits? That’s way more than the tax should be, and my only explanation is that twitch gets a little bit too greedy between the viewers and the streamers and tacks on unfair prices, making it harder for viewers to support streamers. Other than that, incredible app, I love watching streamers and talking to the twitch community that you can surround yourself with, it’s really incredible

User interface is TRASH. The controls are atrocious to use. Can’t fast forward or backward without having to click the screen once where the busy user interface pops up, which serves absolutely no purpose. I already am following the streamer so why is this blocking half my screen as if I didn’t already who this guy I’m following was? Same thing when you pause the video in fullscreen. I pause it because there are things I want to look at but guess what? I can’t because this this thing is obstructing half my screen again. Can’t click it away like you do when it’s not in full screen. Are people who designed this stupid? Also for live, video and clip, only video does NOT have the sort filter out of the three. WHY? You have it on the web version. Why not on the app? The design is all over the place and inconsistent. The only good thing is that it has been stable for me. But everything else is trash. The controls, UI. It’s a mess to navigate through and it’s unnecessarily convoluted. Please fix it or I’m deleting the app. The web version is much easier to use anyway.

I am an avid twitch user but this app is very frustrating. I on average watch Twitch streamers for 2-3 hours a day and it is my main form of entertainment. So it saddens me that the iOS app is riddled with so many issues. First off there is an insane amount of delay (15-30sec) which makes it very difficult to be involved in chat. While on my other devices the delay is essentially unnoticeable or very minimal (5-10sec) when I’m on mobile chat becomes separate and I no longer get the full twitch experience where I can be immersed in a community of other viewers. Having the app play in the background is riddled with issues and is extremely finicky. I can barely get it to play at times when I’d just like to listen in the background. Then when I go back to the app it pauses for a while consistently and then suddenly starts after waiting. Many times when I click on a stream it will be frozen without the option to press the play button. The only way to fix this is to reload the stream and sometimes it requires completely relaunching the app. I love twitch and the app isn’t unusable by any means but it could really use improvements. What is really disappointing is that the iOS app has been around for so long yet we still deal with these bugs. Considering a large number of viewers are on mobile it is time some work was put in to polish the app and improve the experience of mobile users.

Previous version better. The previous version was better in that it would remember games I last viewed. Now, I have to scroll to find the game. Though I did hate that it always showed most recent and it was all or none when deleting them, but oh well on that. If it’s possible to creat a favorites games list I haven’t looked for it, but apparently it doesn’t stand out either, for me anyway. I hate the new continue watching feature. I understand some might like it, but the only reason I watch a rerun is because I can’t find anything live I’d like to watch. And the only way to remove the continue watching is to watch them, fast forward to the end, then go back or to watch the remaining part. Why can’t I just delete items while they’re in the continue watching area. Plus, I have something stuck in continue watching because I apparently need to subscribe to watch it, so I can’t go into it and watch it or fast forward to get rid of it. Either let me disable continue watching or give me the ability to delete from that area, not by having to go into the video.

I had it but…. So recently around June 19 I was doing a live stream (just chatting) and a couple minutes later my stream just stopped then I went to start it again and it said log in or sign up I was really confused and I was like at first oh I got logged out let me log back in when I did straight to the appeal page if you don’t know what that is it’s where it sends you to submit a request to get unsuspended/unbanned and then I got an email saying my twitch account was indefinitely suspended this is a bit emotional for me to talk about so I’m not gonna say what for but I promise you it’s not anything bad and when I try to make a new account it doesn’t work it’s a I think it’s a hardware ban if you don’t know what that is it’s when you get banned on one account and they send a signal to your what ever your using and ban you from even making an account. well at least I can watch people on my pc, well anyways (8/10) and that’s my review and I actually have to go back to bed it’s literally 4 in the morning #FreeExtremeisaiah?????????? aka my twitch if you wanna check it out see y’all later peace.

Updated App Design, It’s a no for me dog. I’m on twitch almost every night and it’s not a huge issue but the new update is slightly annoying/ inconvenient. First world problem but when I go onto twitch I like being able to see who of all the creators I follow are online so I can choose which channel to watch at that time. Now it’s just the top 2 view counts that take up my first view and the scrolling is not as streamlined as picking from a more compact list. Experience of the app itself is worse with the new design. Just my opinion tho so it doesn’t really matter. I mean who’s really reading these things anyway. I could prolly talk about anything on here like hey did you watch the new bachelorette last night. Me neither I was too busy scrolling 5 miles down my screen to see the creator I wanted to watch. Anyways, I digress, is that the right place for “digress”? Is digress to a side thought what digest is to food. Very similar sounding. Anyways, digress, have a good night everybody

Auto-Charging Subscriptions; Irritating and Unethical. I like Twitch, I watch Twitch regularly but they irritate me with this simple problem; If you subscribe, it should not Automatically Charge next month. Their current system Auto Charges you, unless you unsubscribe as soon as you subscribe. This system has caused me access problems bc im broke and its tough out here month to month, but they make it hard to support my favorite streamers without going through a hassle and it REALLY irritates me. I wish they would make subscriptions month by month. Unless you choose (DELIBERATELY) to set your subscription to ‘recurring’ in the stream’s (OR individual user’s) settings. The way they currently have it is Shady, because Auto-charges unless manually opted for are unethical, in my opinion. I really hope they consider setting Subs month by month, then a setting for opting in for recurring payments if desired. Or AT LEAST adding a preference in the individual viewers settings to only Sub month by month.

Unstable as of late. I used to never have problems with twitch, it was one of the apps I used to always get on and just watch a stream for fun. After a while I left because had life things to handle. But recently I decided it was a good time to get back on twitch. Was I wrong, yes and no. While the audio is fine without video, I’ve had troubles watching a stream and have audio at the same time. While the video plays just fine, it’s the audio that don’t work well on the stream. While I’ve been thinking maybe it could be my end, but when it’s been constant, I just don’t see the point in watching anything. Another thing, you removed the option to switch from 720 to something like 480, how can you test something to make sure it’s not your end if you actually take away a feature that was fine to begin with. I get the times are changing and technology is getting more and more advanced, trust me, I was born in the age of technology’s very beginnings of taking over. Just fix the stability of the app please, is that so much to ask. And please just add back a 480p button just for the users who can’t watch in 720.

Love Twitch, but some things desperately need fixing. Twitch is great. But these 2 things drive me absolutely insane. 1. 'Swipe to change streams' feature NEEDS to be optional. It is FAR too sensitive to even the slightest touch, incredibly annoying when you then have to go back to the stream you were watching and are hit with another 30 second preroll ad. Results in missing up to 50 seconds of stream time. 2. This app is incredibly intrusive and plays in the background after you've exited. I will exit Twitch and not even be using my phone, then 5 minutes later the audio from the last stream I was watching will just start playing until I go back and close Twitch again. PLEASE FIX these issues.

Please change the featured clips section. Been watching twitch and using the app for years. Recently an update made the following section have a “recently featured clips” thumbnail. This is no problem except it appears above all other categories, including currently live channels you follow. These thumbnails can be spoilers or (like me) you open twitch to watch a live stream and not a clip, and it makes 0 sense to me why this section would be placed at the top above every other section. Going to keep my review score at 1 star until this is changed, I tried googling a way to change following preferences hoping there would be a solution, and only got a bunch of 1 month old posts also complaining about the same issue. Hoping this might change a developers mind. Pleaseee fix

Review. I am loving twitch joining a couple months ago. Enjoying watching Fortnite streams, valorant and much more! The one downside is the ads are so annoying. When watching a stream I get about 3-4 advertisement videos in a row! It’s very annoying please cut them down. Many people don’t enjoy watching ads. It’s not very enjoyable but other then that it’s great. - Anthony 👍

Ease of function.. My favourite content creator recently received a temporary suspension on a major video platform. I migrated to her Twitch account & found the experience to be superior. I enjoy engaging in live chat & found the auto-fill handle/name tech excellent & time saving & their are some cool emojis. I could also switch between other platforms whilst still enjoying the live broadcast with ease. Also observed no time lag when watching from a different country. The only negative is that Twitch always wants me to respond to an email before logging in. I can get around it by not logging out, though do prefer to log out of any app I’m not using for security purposes. I’m also seeing more hateful content on other platforms which does not sit well with me.

why does the password have to be so complex. I’m not even kidding i’ve had to write the most complex and longest password just to make an account and it’s so hard to remember every time i have to reset my password… LIKE DOES twitch really need maximum security on the account like dedaas my twitch password harder to guess than for my bank, my email, insta and like idk my apple icloud 😭😭😭😭 can someone PLS go fix it i cannot anymore i literally wrote a really intense number sequence and used so many special characters and stuff and it still says password not complex enough!!!:!2!;!4! am i the only one or is it like a glitch or either the design is super annoying and dumb.

Wonderful. Loving the recent update. Thank you for making Twitch as easy as possible for creators. I think it would be a game changer if we were also able to access and update our panels section on mobile.

Miss the older version. I’ve had an old version of the app for years until it finally stopped working yesterday. I was hoping updating would at least mean I’d now have the option to change the playback speed but nope. But now I do have to scroll past a bunch of recommended channels to get to the ones I actually follow, I don’t seem to be able to comment on old steams anymore, there are more ads than before, the font is ugly, and the dark mode is darker and the contrast is hurting my eyes now. I’ll get used to all of that but it’s just another instance of an app updating and changing things that didn’t need to be changed and making it slightly worse than it was. I do like that I can subscribe via mobile now though.

Error in app. Can you fix the error? Everytime I go to watch someone it closes the stream and says “An error has occurred” I have to click on the stream countless times till it works, or I’ll get an Ad, it gives me the error during the ads… I have to watch a stupid number of ads every stream because it continuously gives me the error and thinks I’m trying to avoid the ads, this has been happening for a while now, not sure if it’s just a mobile error or not but very frustrating!

Whispers have been broken for at least the past 2 or 3 updates. Whispers have been broken for at least the past 2 or 3 updates. Messages randomly disappear and reappear, duplicate, and for the past several weeks it’s been showing me i have an unread whisper but it’s no where to be found so i can’t even get rid of the notification.

Usually love this app. I usually love this app but it’s getting on my nerves. I want to watch streams but it keeps crashing, saying, an error occurred watching this stream (something along those lines), multiple times. I even restarted my phone and it keeps crashing. Please get this fixed. It has been happening to me for a few weeks now and it is stopping me from enjoying some tea! I want to listen to my fav while I am driving, but it crashes, so I have silence for most of the drive.

Thank you twich. Twitch has been a lifeline for me. The platform has offered an incredible sense of community and connection during some of my darkest times. The variety of content, from gaming to creative streams, allowed me to escape from my struggles and immerse myself in captivating worlds. I found solace in the chat, where I could interact with like-minded individuals who shared my passions. The streamers themselves became my virtual friends, providing a comforting presence even on my loneliest days. The ability to support and be supported by these creators, both emotionally and financially, gave me a sense of purpose. Twitch has saved my life by offering a distraction, a network of caring individuals, and a platform for personal growth. It's more than just a streaming site; it's a lifeline to a better, brighter world.

Decent app overall. This app is well done relative to the standard twitch has set for their mobile apps, however I am personally experiencing a bug that crashes the picture-in-picture mode on live-streams whenever I receive a live notification from another channel. This is super inconvenient as I have to restart the app every time to get it to work again. If this were fixed I would have no issue with this great product! Thanks.

Verified only chat bug. There’s a bug in the current version that makes all channels say they are in verified only chat mode. They haven’t enabled that mode and my account is email verified. It mostly happens if I open from a push notification, workaround is closing and opening the app manually.

Amazing. I have found twitch to be a amazing app were you can express yourself in minecraft, fort nite, just chatting. On twitch I can creaky be my self and do the things that make me happy. I love watching all my favourites stream and I totally recommend twitch to everyone .It has everything and something for everyone💕

MOBILE STREAMING. So, I’m a small streamer which has around 300 followers. I stream IRL but the thing is I play on Nintendo switch and stream Fortnite IRL. So I have to aim my phone at the screen and stream IRL. But, you need to fix that when it says select a category. There’s only just chatting and others. Like you can’t pick the game your self. Please fix this so I can pick Fortnite when I stream.

Airplay to Apple TV. Airplay to Apple TV is absolutely terrible. Every time you try to stream to Apple TV the app freezes and attempts to play another random clip. Then it needs to be completely restarted and try again. When it eventually starts the stream, it will randomly crash every 15 or so minutes, meaning another restart of the app is needed, and we’re back to square one. Add in the stream randomly restarting again instead of at the time you were last watching it, and it all adds up to an incredibly frustrating experience. We have tried this on multiple devices and multiple Apple TVs and it is still the same result. It’s been like this for at least a year. PLEASE FIX IT.

Clunky. Why can I watch 2 streams at once only some times and navigation is not streamlined super clunky it could be so much better like if it saved my settings I do Not want to click cs go streams in other languages that I don’t understand Sometimes watching a stream it will jump and freeze to catch up to the live broadcast so when it comes back I have no clue why 3 people are dead or who even killed them.

Bring Live streaming to Ipad’s also. Live streaming seems to be available in phones, but not on Ipads. It would expand the streamers base for ppl who want to stream their Ipad gameplays. Also, another thing that could be added is bringing a tutorial on how to use twitch to stream and upload videos. I am struggling with this as this is my first time using Twitch and so I do not know how to upload my videos.

Browsing is impossible. Watching pre roll ads to see what other streamers are showing is ridiculous and restricts bothering to explore more twitch channels and grow the platform. Why not pre roll after a minute not immediately… you watch 30 second ad to see the channel is not worth staying on after 5 seconds of viewing… infuriating at the least.

Good but adds are annoying. It’s good works well and most of the time a problem happens it’s because of internet and not twitch self but adds are annoying and I am not saying adds should be removed just that they should be sinked for everyone and the streamer knows a add has started and that only subs are watching for a minute

Video quality issues. This review does NOT mean you shouldn’t get twitch. Occasionally when I’m watching a stream my quality option only shows auto and the highest quality there is which isn’t a problem if you can run that but if you don’t have the best internet nothing will load. I haven’t found a solution to this except for disconnecting my wifi and even than that doesn’t always work. Please fix this.

Read. Twitch is a great app and everything about it is generally good, par the bias towards Alinity, though on IOS subbing costs $10 for a “Sub Token” compared to desktop’s $5. This has resorted to some streamers making a command that links you to the desktop sub page just so their viewers don’t have to spend as much money. Some things don’t make sense, but everything else is generally great.

Apple TV app giant problems. Please, please, PLEASE fix the frequent black screens you get during a stream on the Apple TV app. Audio continues but the screen goes black for a while and then when the picture comes back it does a weird fast forward of the picture that it’s missed, all while the audio stays normal. Also, not a bug but a pretty annoying absence is being able to fast forward and rewind by pressing and holding to the left or right of the Siri Remote touch pad. Every Apple TV app uses it but twitch refuses.

Great app, but needs a couple of tweaks. Firstly, the app is awesome. Very well made and great UI. But I find it really annoying how you can’t subscribe to anyone through the app. You have to go through the main website. Also, when in full screen mode, the current time isn’t visible. As in the time of day on my iPad. Such a minor thing that really stands out when you wanna know the time.

The Disappointing Disappearing Act. So when are you going to address that fact that people we follow sometimes don’t appear under the channels tab? They are not online, not hosting anyone and they are not offline, they are just gone. This isn’t recent, it’s been going on for a long time. If I wanna catch up on a stream I missed I sometimes have to go searching deep for the streamer. If you can’t remember the streamers name then your just gonna have to wait for them to reappear in the channel tab. I’ve had to resort to taking screenshots of streams I follow just so I can look them up again incase they go missing l. I don’t understand why there is no page that just lists all the people you follow/subscribe to. I don’t need to know if their online, hosting or haven’t steamed in 2 months. I just want an accurate list where the people I follow are ALWAYS there. And where you can better manage the notifications for people you follow without having to unfollow and follow them to change the notification.

It’s a good app but still has bugs. The latest update has introduced a bug where the text turns black making it impossible to see what I’m typing in dark mode. Since this update searching for streams doesn’t show if the stream is actually live or just a re-run. Also the app is still delayed by up to 30 seconds compared to a pc browser making it infuriating to interact with the streamer. The Mixer app doesn’t suffer this it’s instantaneous.

Love twitch but a problem with recovering my account…. As a person that used to do live streams alot i really wanted to recover my account on twitch and live stream again! However when i kept trying to recover my account on twitch with my phone number it always said “invalid phone number”. It keeps saying it and i always say that it is my phone number and it shouldn’t be “invalid”. If you could fix this that would be great.

Missing heaps of Emotes. The mobile app is missing emotes such as Poggers, OmegaLul and Monkas. Also it’s hard to find other emotes when there’s no way they’re organised. All I see in the chat for the above emotes are there names, and they’re the most popular, it really takes you out of the experience and I can’t express myself along with others. Please fix this. Thanks.

Notifications. Hello! I turn my notifications on but they don’t come through I’ve turned them on and off but that didn’t work and I’ve checked my settings and they’re on. I’ve missed a lot of streams. Hopefully you fix it!

Chromecast Problems. This app is great but I am having a problem with live streams and my chromecast. When I try to watch a live stream the audio is horrible. Everything is good for the first 10 to 15 seconds but then the audio begins to cut in and out continuously. This is both for the mobile app or casting from my laptop. I don’t however have this problem when watching video, only live streams. Please fix.

Absolutely the one of the worst experience in my entire life.. My account was suspended for buying bits and cheering them on a stream. Today I received an email saying that it was fraud activity and it was an indefinite suspension I must say for something like that, the Twitch team team needs better judgement security and strategies of dealing with stuff like this, never have I ever seen such holes in a social media platform till now. I will resent my feedback if and only IF!!! my twitch accounts appeal is successful I will allow 1 week to change my change my mind seeing it took 3 weeks to decide to suspend my account so this should be an easy decision. I’m not a bad person I’m not greedy, I am a law biding citizen who always plays by the rules I would never ever commit unjust acts.

PLZ READ. Overall a great app but. I have one thing I dislike about it -licking ASMR_ it’s whane ppl find ear licking mics and lick them with umm not fully clothed sure tere wearing cloths just ya know ik \the vhiews are good but still plz start banning em k don’t like it don’t watch it but little kids are on the app watching this they just lie about tere age no hate on twich I love twich but still don’t ban ASMR just ban licking ASMR like tere is some good ones like cooking ASMR we’re ppl cook or that’s about it thanks for reading #banlickingasmr ❤️‍🔥

Amazing!. This app is amazing. The positive vibe that the streamers share is very impressive. They put some much hard work and effort into creating successful streams for their viewers/community. Aside from all of the positive outcomes there are a few negative parts involved in this app. Sometime the audio does not work and their videos as well as the audio isn’t synced. Apart from the slight problems, this is a very useful app that can be viewed by many people.

Persistent device freezing while trying to type.. I’ve mostly had a good experience with twitch, but that’s coloured by my bias for my favourite streamers on the platform. I’d rate the streamers 5/5, but the app itself is a 2/5 or lower, especially recently. There’s the usual persistent problems that I’ve grown used to, but an update to the app about 2-3 weeks ago now freezes my iPad whenever I tap on the text box to write a comment. The stream continues on, but all touch screen controls stop working while on the twitch app, and manual controls, such as going into the app viewer with a double click of the home button, take 4-5 seconds before they actually work. Even when closing the app - properly closing it, not just leaving it - the sound from the stream continues, with any touch screen inputs lagging for up to 10 seconds until the app finally closes properly and things go back to normal. I don’t know what caused this, but please fix it, it’s making it extremely frustrating to use the app.

Why is this app +17?. I just don’t get why this app is +17 because yeah there is a bit of swearing but who cares like 5 year old kids won’t be watching this stuff. Apart from that this app is awesome, you just look up a game and then you find a person and you watch it is just so good. I would definitely recommend this to everyone over the age of 12.

The delay will be the death of me. When watching on handheld devices, the twitch app has a 15 second delay to streams compared to the desktop version. This limits viewers to interact with their favourite streamer more often which may also decrease the amount of viewers to a stream. If the app was the have the same 3 second delay as the desktop version, it’ll allow for clearer communication between parties anywhere due to how mobile these handheld devices are, thus increasing watch times for streamers. Please fix this issue.

Read. The Twitch App is Very Well Made But, People Such As Me that stream, Use the app too look at chat, Design There Channel, Etc I found changing your profile picture and channel art not possible on the app. I also found that there was not as much customisation as the desktop version. I think twitch should give more mobile streamers a opportunity to better design and do things with there channel. This App is very Good but needs work I hope, I can see some improvement with customisation and also more options to use the app over desktop mode. Thank You Heaps.

Recently watched streams. Twitch is great for watching, and sometimes rewatching streams. But what’s annoying is that, say, if you swipe off a stream, you have to search up the channel and find it again instead of being able to quickly go too it through a “recently watched streams” feature. This feature is in the website I believe, but I’m not sure if it’s on the app. The app is still great and that’s just a minor inconvenience which is pretty uncommon. EDIT: this is a feature, I was just being dumb :/

My opinion. I feel Twitch is a great way to talk to people and reach out to people with the same interests. It’s a creative platform. The only problem is to be able to use it to its fullest, you need to use your money. I think that what’s stoping me from having the most incredible time.

READ. I read the reviews when I was downloading twitch and that where all saying how you could do this and that. But my experience has been grate all up, you can do everything on the mobile app that you can do on the desktop app. BUT There where no reviews about purchasing bits using an iTunes gift card. Because when I tried to buy bits using an iTunes gift card, they just took the money out of my iTunes account and have never given me my bits which I have legitimately paid for?! That is my only criticism, so if you are trying to purchase bits buy them with a credit/debit card.

Everything you should know!. Twitch is great! Not only is it a wonderful way for gamers to create careers out of what they love most, (gaming), you can meet people with the same interests as you through the chat or maybe you’ll open up to the streams where you feel most comfortable. Many people have actually come out during another’s stream because that’s how warm and welcomed they feel when chilling out on twitch! The people are great and sure you might come across some bad people here and there but those people are everywhere, it’s not like we can just press delete and we won’t have to here from them again! Just get twitch! It’s fun and calming and a great way to meet new people. Go and give it a try!

Abysmal Streaming Options. Common Twitch! You guys are the leaders in online streaming, how could your own app lack so much in streaming abilities for mobile streamers? It forces anyone who is serious about streaming to look for alternative OBS’s. Zero ability for quality selection - aspect ration, bit rate, frame rate etc. Instead it’s just 432p for everyone...That’s just sad. No editor for widgets etc. so you’re forced to do all adjustments on your computer and then have no idea how it’ll look until you go live on your mobile. Also I use a microphone that attaches directly into my phone, so no chance of a delay. Doesn’t delay on any other OBS, video software, ANYTHING besides, of course, Twitch’s app... Please overhaul the app ASAP!

Can’t Make An Account. This is a very annoying problem. Whenever I try make my account it says something stupid like “can’t use this email try another email” so then I tried my phone number and it’s like “can’t use this number try another phone number” which is SO annoying because I don’t have multiple phone numbers and emails please fix this I know twitch is an amazing app to watch your favourite streamers but this issue is just so annoying. Ik it won’t change bc the developers won’t read this but still might as well try ig.

No longer bored. I like twitch because I can watch them live and see what they actually do when they play and they don’t cut their face cam thank you so much for adding the game frame because some people could have bad internet and they can change the screen settings so they can see better thank you twitch for letting me do and hope you have a time in the future

Past streams always reset to start when I try to watch. Whenever I try to watch a stream that’s no longer live it is constantly restarted to the beginning. This has been happening since I downloaded twitch over a year ago. It gets frustrating when I’m hours into the stream and have to try and find where I’m up to. I love twitch and use it daily but this issue has been getting to me. Twitch is probably worth millions so I’m not sure why it’s like this.

Twitch keeps buffering?. I’m not sure if it was because of a recent update but as of late twitch on iPhone buffers like once every 30 mins. I don’t have an internet issue because twitch works literally everywhere else. It’s a bit annoying when I’m laying in bed and wanting to watch streams and it buffers all the time. Please have a look into this.. I also have issues when moderating on mobile. I do not have all the features as a moderator on a pc would and it’s a bit frustrating.

Rewatching twitch stream glitches. I absolutely love twitch and i think its an amazing app but oh my goodness. Say if you miss a stream and you go back to watch it on the twitch videos, well if you turn off your device or you get an ad, and you go back to the video, the video restarts. It’s also quite irritating because for some reason my slider on the bottom of the screen isn’t working and its really annoying because i have to spam the +30 seconds button just to get back where i left off. So to summarise what i basically said, If you are watching the stream videos, it restarts the whole video when you turn off your device or get an ad and if you try to use the slider tool it wont work for going backwards. This is the only reason why twitch lost both 2 stars for me.

Issues. The app is a good starting point but I think we should be able to see the people that follow us. Also the notifications symbol will say I have notifications but when I click it it’s empty. Also can’t wait for affiliates to start making revenue off of ads. Even if it’s a very small amount, every bit adds up 👍🏻

The best app in the world. This app might be the best app ever you can live stream you can chat on your live stream you can put any tag you want you can edit your profile for example, pictures, banners and you can edit your thumbnail on your live stream and it is the best app ever thank you for listening

Latest update seemed to have removed presence. Seems like the latest round of updates has removed the ability to change the presence of your account? My visibility when joining streams seems to be stuck on invisible with no way of changing it. Have been told this by some streamer friends that I don’t appear in their viewer list even though I’m in their chat ???

Verified email. I verified my email but still can't talk In chat because I receive a message saying It requires a verified email address

FINALLY STOPPED SENDING VODCAST NOTIFCATIONS. Finally. You still get one star though. There are nice ways of showing off a new feature and then there's the way you chose to do it.

Making accounts is not working. First off I try to log in my account and I forgot password and had them send me email and then password would never work so I had to do it a bunch of times and still didn’t work, then they suspended my account which made no sense because I never go on twitch so I’d don’t do anything, then when I tried to make a new account several days later they said I made the account too fast which makes no sense why is there a time limit of how fast I’m going ?? There set up is hard and difficult and made me stop using twitch because I couldn’t log in and it wasn't even my fault. Fix my account twitch ur missing out on someone who wants to try streaming and watch videos of my friends because I love too.

Why add different chat screen if they don’t work. Immediately restarted my twitch app, went on a stream, switched to column chat and as soon as I press the chat bar it freezes. Obviously no bug testing was done whatsoever before they released this crap update. Audio still plays while the screen is frozen and after force closing the app. There’s been so many bugs recently. What did you guys do to the app? I have a brand new iPhone 14 pro max. I never had so many problems with this app until recently. Sometimes flipping my phone horizontally will cause the video screen to go upside down or the chat box to randomly turn a random direction. Fix this.

crashes. everytime there’s an update to it for iso it crashes and when u try to minimize it and watch it on a small window and open an different app very annoying

Quackity my beloved. Quackity my beloved

Restarts the past broadcast after an ad. Great way of streaming, but most of the time when I go to watch a past broadcast I get an ad. But this is no ordinary ad, it tends to play the same one and restarts the broadcast making me lose where I was. I find this an issue that just ruins the experience.

Poggers. It’s very good for metal Heath

Horrible. Random video audio playing in background despite restart and even reinstall along with constant crashes. PiP crash mixed with the constant ads every new video this is a miserable experience. Parent company is one of the richest companies in the world yet clearly no money was invested in hiring actual programmers, pathetic. Every update breaks something, no wonder twitch is starting to die.

Falling off. This streaming site that used to be a safe place is turning into a porn site. No wonder streamers are leaving for other platforms, the twitch staff just seems sexist. Keep letting girls get away with showing off sexual content to young viewers, it’s more 18+ NOT 12+. Makes me sick to my stomach’s and I will never be using twitch again.

latest version. latest version crashes constantly and black screens

Great Design. The app works great and is much more functional than watching through safari. It also looks really good too and is easy on the eyes at night.

Stream audio stacking. Recent update is slow and laggy. It will also have trouble closing a stream, so if you are watch one stream then switch to a new stream, audio from both streams will keep playing. Can repeat multiple times and have multi streams playing audio at the same time.

Fallen from Grace. Twitch is now a camsite for egirls wearing bikinis in hot tubs to make $1000s off of sad, lonely men. I remember when you could actually watch games being streamed on it... smh

i love karl. this app helped me watch karl 😩

12+??. This site is NOT 12+, there’s cam girls all over and they never get banned from the site for the nastiest things, yet other streamers (non sexual streamers) get permanent bans for ‘saying something mean :(‘ I will never see twitch the same ever again and honestly, twitch has been on the decline for way too long.

Simps. Even though I never downloaded and saw the app WHEN I SEE THAT POKIMAINE THING IM GIVING IT A 1 STAR

yay. i can watch mcyts now👁

Twitch fell off hard. I mean aside from the basic issues that they’ve become super money hungry and forcing streamers into bad contracts the app works fine on my iPhone. As far as my iPad goes, I can’t update iOS to meet their requirements anymore so the app has been rendered useless as far as that goes which is a joke. The amount of ads they force down your throat has become insane lately. Without turbo, which is reasonablely priced if you watch multiple streamers and can’t sub to everyone, twitch is unwatchable. Swap to a new stream and you can’t even watch for one minute before they force 3 minutes of ads on you. Actually insane. It’s going downhill and that’s why they’re losing so many big names to YouTube. If YouTube improved their live gaming section making the ui and discoverability better, twitch would be a wasteland

Unstable. I cannot browse through the list of live streamers because it just freezes when you try navigating on this app. Last update ruined the stability.

Cheer bits. While in my stream it mentions that i cannot send bits to my own channel and i cannot remove that and i cannot interact with my community BEEN LIKE THIS SINCE MONDAY

Uncontrolled ads. Self-refresh means ads all the time, no matter what the broadcaster wants.

Band. Beloved streamers getting banned for no reason like Minx she gets banned for saying simps and men calling her slurs, twitch really needs to work on who needs to actually get banned and who doesn’t ,anyway good app.

Twitch is simp. Twitch is dumping for thots

Woman. I love woman

Great. Love you

8 ads in a row. Twitch, are you kidding? 8 ads 30 sec each in a row while streamer is in online?

Recently featured clips are annoying AF. I love twitch but I’m tired of unfollowing people to get rig of the recently featured clips that just STAY THERE FOR WEEKS. It’s so freakin annoying! Move it down below. I don’t care about clips I only care about live streams ugh. It takes up way too much real estate and honestly makes me just close the app instead of scrolling. Or give us more options to customize the page to what we want (so we engage more) because it’s better access.

Mobile audio problem. On mobile if I switch to a different stream the other stream audio still plays in the background on top of the steamers audio I just clicked to watch.

Allowed me to stay calm. Gave me access to many of my comfort streamers hecc yeah Ranboo my beloved

No longer can use with chromecast. Since the update last week it can no longer discover my chromecast. I’ve tried re-installing this app and resetting the chromecast.

#FREEMINX. She gets banned for saying simp yet male streamers using slurs against women are nothing, this disgusts me, this is minx’ job and she’s a big comfort to many. Do better twitch really disappointed.

This platform is not good. The hoes don’t get banned

pog. needs a bit more jack manifold

Broken much?. Fix your app, twitch! It’s embarrassing! I can’t use the app on my iPhone for more than 5 minutes without crashing, and forget trying to use chat! The app crashes right away 😴😴😴😴😴

Videos for bits. I can’t watch videos for bits please fix this. It is a great app otherwise

Ya. Great app 👍

Time outs. Seriously annoying, timing out every 10 mins at times. Very annoying. I’m thinking of deleting this app

App sucks.. This app is straight dog water compared to the actual pc version. It loads so much slower and every time you are watching something that isn’t live, it will bring you back to the start of the stream if you get an advertisement. Love using twitch, just not the app. D o g w a t e r .

Good update... Adds reset videos, again.. Pretty sweet how every second update or so the bug where an add plays and then your video/old stream goes back to 00:00 and it just keeps on doing that. Made it 5minutes in each time, and has happened repeatedly and even after re install. Keep up the good work, can see why ninja left, joke of a company imh

Crashing. This twitch app crashes 5 times out of 10 when I open the chat to send a message, I looked online and there is others having the problem on ipads iphones etc. I deleted and reinstalled and updated everything. Nothing works

Help. The app is great but..... every time an ad plays while I'm in the middle of a stream it would restart it. Pls fix this soon

Good. I saw a dog

Ban. Ban pokimane

Ad-free experience 10/10. Latest update is a perfect ad-free experience. Only downside is that streams will freeze and crash every 5 minutes when it attempts to play an ad. Literally unwatchable. Advertisers beware, you are paying for ads people do not see.

Great App. Please add subtitles for different languages!

Why can’t you use your prime sub. You can subscribe on the app but there’s no option to use your prime sub.

Pay your content creators better. You’re profiting off of them

Terrible new UI. The layout for the Following tab is awful, each streamer profile has a huge preview video and it takes up way too much space. Go back to the more compact list view

Multiple streams playing at once.. On twitch mobile, there is a bug when if I’m watching a stream, for example pokelawls… if I swipe his stream away and click on someone else’s to watch, it will play the audio of the first stream in the background while watching the new stream.

👉 Are you looking for an Adsense alternative advertising platform?

Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!

Customer Support. I recently had to delete my account because it was hacked repeatedly and the issue wasn't addressed quickly enough for any of my information to feel safe (i followed all preventative measures and my account was still accessed even without my two-step verification). Unfortunately, upon going to create a new account, i discovered i was trapped in my old account on the app, unable to do or watch anything, but also unable to sign out. I deleted and redownloaded the app several times to no avail. I'd love to continue using the app with a new account but it seems that i have to have an account to speak with customer support. This is both a cautionary review and last ditch effort to reach out and hopefully receive some assistance with this issue. The app is completely unusable to me at the moment which is a huge disappointment as i'm missing out on a lot of my favorite content creator's streams.

Lack of Customizable Access. The Twitch website gives you a lot of access towards your customization and profile editing. You can change your chat color, change your name and or capitalization, change your profile pic, etc. This app, however, doesn’t give you access to most of the offers the website has. It would be nice to be able to do certain things on the app instead of always having to rely on the website such as customizing your profile and being able to subscribe to channels by viewing them instead of having to use chat commands. Sometimes I want to support a streamer but I can’t because they do not have a set chat command. Overall, I’d appreciate it if the app would have more accessibility just like the website instead of it feeling like it’s taking away your access and ability.

I don’t have to find be a sub to find good gameplay.. I just stay for the comments. But I’d like to comment in on the good plays. Fuel the excitement and push for more people to test their limits. Browse filters. Alittle more console support as far as the Kinect and overlays, widgets control panel. Nothing’s perfect, just surprised a lot of what I expected hhasnt happened yet. This generations alittle behind, still hating and hurting. Won’t make your pain stop. If you want that, you have to get over yourself. We’re all humans. The Human race. Not racial, regional. If each person had one million, no one would struggle. Below one million, work, or invest correctly. Oh wait that’s right. the wrong three power system. Last one had it right but still fought amongst each other. Pitty. Hopefully we can prepare before the next round.

Great, just a few suggestions.. Twitch is cool. Found out about it a few months ago and get to connect and watch people that I love. I just have a few suggestions. Dates and times for each stream and whisper. I don’t like going back to my favorite streamer and it saying “a month ago” or “two months ago” because then I don’t know what stream it is. The same for whispers. It doesn’t give you a date or time the message was sent so if someone asks when you sent the whisper it seems unprofessional to not know because it doesn’t tell you. The app I’ve noticed glitches a bit and when you go to watch previous streams it takes forever. Overall twitch is great and I like it a lot, I just think these suggestions would improve the layout and help people.

Quality freezes. The quality usually be at the highest like 1080 but since recently there’s been problems where it just go to 360 or 166 and play good but at 1080 it skip every 10 seconds of the live I’m watching or it pauses and doesn’t play I tried goin lower to 480 but the same problem happens every time, one time I put it on my tv and it worked fine on 1080 then it started freezing so I put it down to 360 and the video was going back to normal just low quality it was moving at good speed please fix this I even deleted the app plenty times and downloaded it back to see was my phone the problem tried on different devices the same error kept occurring to I put it on a low quality everything else works perfectly just bad quality to where it have to go perfect good quality makes it freeze and skip over videos.

Love Twitch, but There Are Always Mobile Issues. I’ve noticed, as of late, several bugs unrelated to my internet connection and/or iPad/iPhone itself. When I watch streamers, often the chat freezes completely which can only be fixed by leaving the stream and coming back, or refreshing the app. This can result in more ads being played before the stream can be watched again when I’ve already missed a large portion of the stream. Additionally, separate from the chat freezing/not updating, the stream itself and ads often freeze as well when first entering a stream. Finally, I hope that mobile support for follower emotes and Prime subscription becomes available because I am more likely to use these features on mobile then to get on my PC to watch streams. Looking forward in the future to supporting my favorite streamers!

Terrible Ui, and updates make the app worse. navigating through the different broadcasts will give you a migraine, random channels you arent interested in with no viewers will be dropped in the top of your feed for no reason constantly. you cannot delete messages, and notifications will remain for years after youve “hidden” the messages theyre attatched to. on top of this the newer updates have fixed nothing but added the most annoying feature imagineable: autoplay on whatever is in the center of the screen, (meaning when you browse the app while watching a stream, there will ALWAYS be a second stream randomly autoplaying and overlapping your audio.) the app is lazily put together and the new features they add actively make the experience worse, with no settings menu to turn these annoying things off. whoever is in charge of design should seriously consider stepping down and letting someone who has the first idea of what theyre doing step in.

Lol. Got rid of my iPad and wanted to try watching this on my phone. I don’t get why I need to sign in. Just let people watch but not communicate or chat or interact if they are just basically spectating. You clearly don’t want people using your service. Who in their right mind thought this new layout was even remotely a good idea? Let’s go from having a very thin line at the bottom that lets you select discover and categories to almost a quarter of the iPad screen to pull out some bar that is completely unnecessary. The recommended channels on that bar are useless to me cause while I like and watch most of the same people it depends on what they are playing. The bar on the side removes that and just shows all these people are live. I’m not gonna click on each one giving you money twitch by watching multiple ads to see they are playing something I don’t care for. Whoever designed this needs to be fired.

iPad streaming problems. Before I begin to describe the bug, first a disclaimer: I know that streaming on an iPad is not ideal. I understand it would be better using a computer. I’m well aware. I want to use my iPad. Now that we have that out of the way, when I attempt to stream and my camera goes live, the live feed appears to be rotated 90 degrees in a clockwise direction. Screen lock doesn’t fix it. Rotating my iPad doesn’t fix it. Switching to/from frontside/backside cameras doesn’t fix it either. It seems like a bug in the app itself. I downloaded the app on my iPhone, and it works just fine. No problems. It very well may be a user error on my part, but I have yet to figure it out. Otherwise a very enjoyable user experience. Thanks.

Subtitles. Having subtitles is extremely important to me due to my deafness. (Born deaf, uses sign language) I have made several attempts over the past three weeks to enable subtitles on different devices, such as my PC, but unfortunately, I have had no success. It has been quite disappointing for me, and as a result, I had to stop following my favorite streamer because Twitch does not provide basic access to subtitles. I have made sure that the subtitle button is turned on and that the stream captions are enabled, but it still does not work. To make matters worse, the mobile version of Twitch on my iPhone does not offer any subtitle options at all. This has been a very frustrating experience for me, and I am deeply upset about it. I have decided to give it another try in six months with a new computer, hoping that it will resolve the issue. If that does not work, then the responsibility lies solely on Twitch.

Icons, like emotes, profile pictures, banners, etc not showing. So I think this bug came with the patch from two weeks ago because I’ve been having problems since about them, and it only affects my mobile Twitch. As it says in the title, the icons won’t show. In a stream chat, badges and emotes are just blank, and I know there’s emotes there because of the streamers putting chat onscreen. It is frustrating because I have subs that I can’t use emotes for, and Twitch support was essentially useless, as I followed what they said word for word, step by step, and it fixed nothing. When I mean the icons weren’t showing, I mean they are blank in chat, and profile pictures are the default thing, when I know they aren’t like that normally. It seems to be something from the last patch, so please fix it in the next patch!

Not Recommended, 1/10. This platform fell through my expectations. Sometimes the platform fails to load videos and it’s extremely glitchy, I do not trust that want I watch is in real time with the streamer. I once wished to subscribe to a streamer I’m interested in but I had to pay through my parents, we attempted to purchase a sub token but failed due to apple not accepting twitch ,then when we switched payment method a glitch in system kept informing me “A request to buy sub token will be sent to your parents for approval” no notifications on my parent’s end what so ever, This is nonsense, This is 2020 not 2014, I expect such problem to not occur at all when relying on a platform this famous. ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND if you wanted a platform with proper functionality and good quality

Needs some actual optimizations.. Seriously. For a company that racks in 230 million dollars a year from ads alone to have such a horrible app that forces you to watch streamers at 1080 p on mobile devices that can't handle it without lagging every 3 seconds. Whether its a lack of servers or programmers doing optimizations isn't a good excuse for how everything twitch has isn't any good, from their clipping that was fixed not too long ago, to the forced stream cap to the default of the streamer so if you wanna watch a small streamer you have to turn on audio only mode, to if you missed a part of the stream you're better just asking the streamer than using their horrible video player. I get its a company, but c'mon man. If this is Twitch's "best" it doesn't deserve its popularity. it isn't a small company, it isn't a new company. It should actually be working to better the platform for everyone, not just the hot tub streamers that line their wallets thanks to horny whales.

Great service, shame about the recent added Nudity. I love Twitch. I’ve used it for years and have been a member of twitch prime for a significant amount of time. Twitch has been a great way to preview games before I consider purchasing them as well as staying involved in the video game community. This all changed for me when Twitch started allowing the steaming of games that include full frontal nudity (Cyberpunk 2077 to be specific). You may have your own opinions about censorship, but for me this crosses a line where I can no longer endorse this app for users that are kid’s or have kids. The app did a great job screen this until now. To specify address Cyberpunk 2077, I think it’s a great game, it has a “streaming mode” that is suppose to screen out nudity to make it streaming appropriate, but it doesn’t work. I hope Twitch is able to decide to stick to they’re previous model of censorship instead of turning a blind eye when a popular game comes on the market in the future.

Blatant racism and favoritism. Doesn’t support or promote people of color. The most subscribed twitch user in America (English speaking) has never been mentioned or promoted by twitch. The ads are insane, 7-9 ads every time I go to support a smaller streamer. Makes me not even want to watch. the ads stop me from browsing to find new content creators, as soon as you open their stream your hit with 4-9 ads right away. I’m not going to be forced to subscribe to a stream that I’m just trying to check out. What if I don’t like it? Then I just wasted money subbing to a channel I’ll never watch or support again. FIX IT, or I’m done with this app. It was tolerable before but now that you’ve increased the ads, we can’t and won’t support it. To top all of that, they’re now taking more money from the content creators… makes zero sense. Once those creators realize they hold all the power.. I hope they all leave at once, to a better platform that appreciates them and the consumer!

Basic functions very buggy. This app crashes constantly, and even when it doesn’t crash, basic functions rarely work correctly. It never remembers where I left off in watching a replay and starts me back at the point where I began watching the previous time so I have to scrub to find my place every single time. Replays I’ve finished watching frequently do not clear from the “continue watching” section because it keeps insisting that my last spot is from some prior point when it crashed or I paused and that I haven’t finished watching, and there’s no way to clear a video from there, and even going in and repeatedly trying to scrub through or jump ahead or even just sit through the end again often don't work. Lastly, I don’t know if this is a bug or how it’s designed to function but I do NOT understand why when I am watching a replay in a collection, it doesn’t play the next video in sequential order but the most recent video.

Solid app, poor management. While the app provides a satisfactory user experience, the opposite is to be said about its management. The twitch staff and management seems to play favorites in the treatment of its communities and broadcasters, being either extremely strict or extremely lenient of who gets banned and for how long. For creators, the staff is often vague or unclear about reasons for a ban if one has occurred and appeals often fall on deaf ears after an already lengthy period of time waiting for a reply. The content restrictions too of the DMCA has severely restricted the possible quality of content, and many times bans for breaking DMCA guidelines are extremely harsh. There is more to say but these are prominent points of failure. If these were addressed, I believe that the app and the platform have a huge opportunity to shine and achieve their full potential to allow for a more fun and more entertaining user and broadcaster experience.

Great App, Great Problems.... I’m on Twitch, on a phone. Twitch is great, there is nothing wrong with their app, only that something NEEDS to be added. For some stupid reason, you can’t turn on “Past Broadcasting” or something around that name, which basically means that you have the ability to make it available for your viewers to watch past live streams that they weren’t able to see live. Apparently this is only available on the Twitch website, so I had to turn on “Past Broadcasting bla bla bla” on the website. The only thing is, is that IT DIDN’T WORK. I turned it on, went to Twitch, and my live stream still wasn’t there. Ironically, the website has more features than the app does, but on a phone, both the app and website are garbage. Nonetheless, I will continue to stream on Twitch because I’ve seen what it can do on an iPad instead of a phone, and I love the app, just really mad about not being able to do slot of things.

Some issues.. Now it’s great and all, but some twitch streamers enabled verified commenters only, so you have to verify your account. Now, I wanted to do that. So I entered my phone number, and then it asked for my password. I have ADHD, so I have a tendency to forget things. So I clicked “reset passcode”. I entered my email, and verified it. Now, when I tried to make a new password, it repeatedly told me that there was “no need for special characters”. The thing is, I had no special characters. It was literally a plain, unique passcode. It didn’t even have any capitals in it. This just pisses me off, because I want to comment like everyone else on the chat. Overall, 2/5 stars. The only thing keeping it from being a 1 is the streamers that I actually like, otherwise, I would rate it 0.

Great on PC, horrible on mobile. TLDR; 0/10 would NOT recommend I have used twitch for a while on mobile and for a long time I thought it was fine. It had some issues but for the most part it was all good. Until I got my PC. Then I realized just how awful twitch mobile is. Half the features on Twitch PC are non-existent on the mobile version. In addition to that, the mobile version is filled with bugs that I’ve never once encountered on PC. For example, I will frequently be watching a streamer that I’ve subbed too but when I go to use emotes all of them will be locked. And emotes from other channels that I’ve subbed to won’t even be visible. This includes the default Twitch emotes that everyone has. The worst of it tho, is that despite the fact that the mobile version is an absolute dumpster fire compared to the PC version they still charge you MORE money for subscribing or buying bits on mobile. The last time I checked it was about 50% more for bits on mobile and an extra $1 every month for subscribing on mobile. My recommendation? If you wanna use Twitch Mobile that’s fine. But expect a terrible experience and don’t even think about spending a dime on their mobile app. Absolutely not worth it. If I had any other way to watch my favorite streamers I would have deleted this app immediately.

Still a great streaming service, but the app/login is annoying. I love Twitch and I’ve been using it for years, but recently have stopped using it entirely because the app doesn’t want to play nice. The required login is really annoying, especially because the chats are always toxic anyway and I really don’t care to participate. I honestly just want to watch the streams. Since my account was stolen by people overseas twice, the password requirements have become completely obnoxious and I feel like I need a password manager to keep one that complex straight. However, I don’t have the ability to even do that. When I try to reset my password on my phone, the link in the email immediately redirects to the app sign in and not to the password reset screen (there’s also no option to just continue in Safari). Thus I’m stuck in an infinite loop of having the “wrong“ credentials unless I actually use a computer to right it.

Great app but bugs need to be fixed. I really love the twitch app for when I watch streams on the go but it does have a few bugs that are annoying. For one, only when I use the iPad app, anytime I type in chat the audio cuts out completely and I have to restart the app to get audio back in the stream. Another thing that happens is similar but when I type in chat sometimes the audio doesn't cut out completely but it cuts for a few seconds then comes back but its 3-10 seconds delayed from the video. As you can imagine its pretty annoying to not be able to use chat without having to restart the app and miss what the streamer is saying. Another bug is on the iPhone app. Sometimes when I click a notification for a stream and go into the app, the following page is frozen and I cant tap anything.

better off on your computer. don’t get me wrong, i love twitch BUT you’re just better off using twitch on a computer. first of all, i noticed the stream delay is WAY longer on mobile (5-40 seconds) while on computer (1-10 seconds) it’s not that long compared to mobile. i have a download speed of 200 megabits so my internet isn’t the problem. second off, when i go to buy bits, i can buy more bits on computer than on mobile. for example, $1.99’s worth of bits is 95, while on computer, you get more for $1.40. kinda absurd. lastly, twitch on computer is just so much better, because you get exclusive feature like the channel point goals and stuff like that. (also not to mention the bug where the stream just goes completely black with no audio from the stream) so in conclusion, just to twitch on a pc if you can, it’s so much better

Really bad experience. I was a partner, some guys put bots on my channel, exactly 15k bots that followed my channel, I report them, and I reported the toxic streamers that did it, but the staff is corrupted what they did was send my report to those channels, and type the report on their chat. I reported the staff and the channels again by the partner email and it was the same all corrupted the staff only listen to their friends and others streamers... really sad they just destroyed my career and everything and twitch did nothing they didn’t fired them they still working there but I can do nothing. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 i removed all the accounts with the ignored feature but it doesn’t matter the staff is corrupted whenever I send an email the same staff or her/his friends just delete the email and just like that. I’m no rich but if I had money sure I’ll be suiting Twitch and the corrupted staff that violated my rights and the twitch ToS. I guess it is what it is I just have to start over on another platform after all my years of work. I hope the Spanish staff from Mexico get fired.

Devs that listen to feedback. A couple months ago, the twitch app had a major redesign and overhaul. As is so often the case, the Internet reacted violently to change, but in this specific case I would say it was warranted. New Apple is clunky and removed Features from the twitch app that we knew and Loved. Even the smallest, most accidental swipe left and right would change the channel, and it was infuriating. Over the next couple months however, the Twitch dev team started listening to Feedback, and implementing changes that the masses were crying for. And I can finally say with confidence that this is the best way to watch Internet video of any sort. Thank you Devs for listening to Feedback implementing changes, it is greatly appreciated

Bring Back 14.5.1 Chat Layout. This is the first time I’ve been compelled to write a review in years. Introducing three double taps with text that comes on to the stream between them is highly annoying. I don’t ever use, and do not ever want to use the new chat overlay option. Before the chat overlay update I was able to quickly switch between no chat to maximize the stream area on my phone, and column chat overlayed the stream which allowed me to instantly see chat’s reaction when something happened on stream. The ability to watch streams the way I like to watch them has destroyed with the introduction of the 14.6 chat overlay update. Just allow me to go into a chat setting and remove the new chat overlay option so I can go back to just one double tap to quickly switch between chat and no chat. This update has me looking at 3rd party twitch apps for the first time and I hope this triple double tap is removed.

Many missing features and bugs. Using this app for years now and there’s been very little improvement over those years. The app allows you to do basic functions such as watch a stream, or tip bits. However if you want to do other things such as tip and subscribe you won’t be able to do that in the app. You will have to go to a PC or request desktop mode from the safari browser. When you request desktop mode it tends to cause problems for your fighting with the app opening and then trying to get the desktop mode painful process. Missing subscribe function is the biggest issue I’d say. Could this be true to be missing for so many years it’s just incredible to me. It’s a basic function on twitch it’s been around for a long time and that’s how you can show support for your favorite stream, same with tipping that should be in there too for some reason it’s not.

Bugs For Over 3+ Years. I love Twitch, but it really feels like they don’t want to fix the problems with this app. On computer, almost all issues are gone. However, this app has been having optimization and viewing bugs for 3+ years, and still has very many. Videos restarting after ads, stream delay occurring specifically on mobile, background play disappearing, audio continuing to play after closing background play, app refreshing after full screening background play, and many more. On top of that, you can still only purchase a tier one subscription. I’d like to rate it higher if they ever fixed these issues, but at this rate it doesn’t seem they’ll bother to put the effort into doing so which is very disheartening.

PLEASE FIX CHAT. I felt like it was fine before, but in one of the recent updates they added a feature where, in full screen mode, you can double tap to switch between column chat, overlay chat and no chat. However, the app hasn't gotten extremely slow, so most of the time when I tap to get the stream info off the screen, I'll have to tap more than once, but then it catch up and automatically go to column chat. Then I have to double tap more than once AGAIN bc it will lag going to chat overlay so then it'll skip right past overlay and no chat and go back to column chat. There should be a BUTTON that you can press to switch between them, the double tapping is incredibly stupid. And that's not even bringing up how dumb the overlay chat. Why would you want the chat going over the content you're watching. It's all just so stupid and I'm BEGGING Twitch to fix it.

New update. I love twitch and I’ve been using it for a little less than a year to watch some of my favorite streamers. I’ve had no problems with it until the most recent update. When I go into the app, the people who I follow that are live are really enlarged and it takes up all of my screen instead of when they used to be smaller and you could see them all easier. Is there a setting to put this back the way it is? I looked into my settings but couldn’t find anything. Not a huge inconvenience, but a little annoying when 10 of the people I watch are live, I have to scroll a lot rather than just once when it was smaller to see everyone listed. If someone could help me understand this better, that would be great!

Please bring back the old Apple TV app!. This review pertains to the Apple TV app only. I watch the majority of my Twitch streams on my Apple TV and the recent updates to this have just been downright terrible. It’s a complete downgrade from the former version. It lags constantly when I’m trying to select things on the home page. There is no more “recently viewed” for VODs that you may have been watching so they are more difficult to navigate to. My home page is now full of suggested streamers that I couldn’t care less about. There is also no option to see the live playback of the chat on VODs as well which, in my opinion, is one of the most fun parts of watching the playback of streams. I don’t normally write reviews for apps but this one frustrates me so much that I had to voice my opinion. Twitch, please please PLEASE make changes to the new app or bring back the old version! This new Apple TV app is significantly worse in so many ways. It is not customized to the viewer or user friendly.

Love the app, but there are a few bugs. I’ve actually been really enjoying using twitch so far, but because I’m generally short on time I tend to not be able to watch entire streams. Good news is twitch records past broadcasts, but I’ve noticed that while watching past broadcasts there are some pretty frustrating bugs. For example, sometimes when watching a past broadcast and an ad pops up, after the ad break the broadcast will send you back to the beginning and you have to scrub through the video to find your place again, which can be annoying especially when watching longer streams. Also, the scrubbing is a bit buggy to, sometimes the bar acts like you pressed your finger in a different place. I really do enjoy using twitch, so I hope this bugs can be fixed.

Freakin amazing but.... This is by far the best streaming service on the face of the earth. But there are some things that the pc version has that the mobile version doesnt. No 1. The ability to change your channel name. So i noticed after about a day prior to downloading this that you are unable to change your channel name. Now that isnt a problem for me but it may be for other people, as other users may not be able to access a pc or laptop. No 2. The ability to customize about me pages and channel banners: it’s basically the same reason. So twitch i really hope you see this and possibly make some changes but aside from that, twitch i a great streaming service and it will be for many years to come.

Decent. Two things have been bugging me lately, but otherwise the app is fine. Ads are out of control sometimes. A 4 minute ad break means that a lot of people, myself included, just close the app out and do something else. Another issue I have is something that bugs me with all tech/product companies in the age of convenience and digital industry... you guys have got to stop tweaking things until they're broken. "Design refresh" is a bullsh!t concept that results in over-design and regression (not to mention it infers a clear focus on money rather than a good product), and the new "recently featured clips" being smacked onto the top of the following page is a prime example. I don't care about those, and it's a dumb place to put it anyway. Stop with the unnecessary tweaking please, things simply do not need to fixed until they are worse than they were before.

Solid, but could be improved. Great app, allows me to manage my chat from my phone through Stream Manager. HOWEVER I would absolutely LOVE it if the devs enabled vibration whenever someone comments in the chat, follows, etc. I stream virtual reality games and peak through a small opening in the headset to look down at my phone while playing. It’d be really nice to have haptic feedback instead of constantly checking. Also had a weird bug yesterday. Whenever I I was streaming to streamlabs and opened the stream manager, it bricked my iphone 12pro for a second and I couldn’t click anything on the phone at all. Even when I tried to turn off the phone and turn it back on, I couldn’t swipe to reset.

Twitch is beautiful. Twitch is such an incredible app for gamers. Twitch can even be appreciated by people who might not game, but may enjoy action-packed content along with entertainment from the interesting personalities that stream on this platform. Each stream has its own culture essentially, which is a really unique aspect to this app. When you spend a copious amount of time in a specific stream you not only learn the ways of the culture of the stream, but you also become part of the culture itself. When you support the streamer with a subscription or gifted subscriptions (to other viewers) you really invest into the stream and allow the streamer to continue streaming, thus allowing the culture to live on.

Great platform/app But Lack of Bug Fixes. I love twitch. A lot of a my favorite content creators are on here. But here’s the thing: Twitch is not properly working. Ever since they have allowed Live copyright claims, I cannot watch past streams that are have copyrighted music in them through certain devices. For example, twitch is not a featured app Samsung Smart TVs so when I AirPlay a past stream from my iPhone and it gives me the “Some portions of this stream have been muted due to copyright” warning. The advertisement will play but the stream won’t. I have reported the issue various times. No fix. I know twitch doesn’t have does best staff but, they could at least look into things like this for the love of people who can’t always catch a stream. 3 stars; cool and all but it little things like this that ruin it for working people, students, etc.

They gave my personal info to scammers. Stay away from this platform, they are in league with scammers. They lie and say you can setup an account with email only, but will hound you for more info, specifically your mobile number, which they have zero need for. DON’T DO IT! Literally the instant after you will be deluged with scams by voice, by text, you name it. They have been told over and over that they have a serious issue, and they won’t take action. They even made false public statements that the issue was limited to one employee who had a company laptop stolen. Lies! At some point it dawns on you that the reason they don’t fix their problems is they are profiting from it. Also, every time I reached out to them for support, I would again be bombarded with scams, like within minutes. Their corruption coupled with the fact they have turned their platform into an ad network makes it so not worth it. There is better out there.

Viewer Incompatibility. There never seems to be an update that actually fixes the issues myself and other viewers experience. Sometimes changing screen orientation or trying to open chat causes the video to freeze. I will close the app when the video stops and the audio will keep playing. Today watching streams landscape using guest star the entire video shrinks to maybe only 10-15% of the screen and cannot be fixed. Deleting and redownloading fixed that issue once, but reopening the app after that first redownload the problem persists. The twitch mobile app seems to update every few days and yet it never seems to improve. I’m not a software developer and I have no idea if these issues are common or perhaps difficult to fix but as a regular viewer without a desktop, watching streams and chatting with community members on the app has been nothing but a headache. Twitch, please figure out these issues.

This app runs terrible. This app won’t load videos if I’m using 480p or higher I don’t know why I saw it was at 360 for default don’t know why thought this was 2020 so I put it to 1080 wouldn’t load I was like ok I guess 720p is fine then doesn’t work so I’m like Jesus Christ 480p what is this 1995 but oh well better the 360 doesn’t work I exit the app every time in between changing the graphics just in case also so after 480 doesn’t work I exit it again cause I’m like oh well get back on it loads at 180p by itself I didn’t change it to 180p it’s not my phone I have a pretty new undamaged iphone 10 with at&t I tested my speed I’m at 150mb for upload more then fast enough for it to load it’s 2am and I live about a mile from a cell tower with full bars it’s not me this app runs so bad so if you like watching streamers on terrible quality this is the app for you Well I wrote that a while ago quit watching streams for a while now I’m back it’s on 720p and the streams won’t load this App is a joke

Delay. I like the app it’s very similar to the pc version. But a big problem I have is that there is so much of a delay. I was watching this Nhl streamer named Tougie24 and he was doing a draft. He wanted the viewers to pick. In the nhl game there is a 3 minuet time limit and I did not get to make my pick (the time ran out) because of the delay I would tell him to do something then it would take at least 30 seconds for me to see or for it to appear and in his chat. Another example Is when watching a stream and something cool happens it will be spoiled or revealed before you see it ruining the moment. Wether the rest of the chat is emoting or talking about it. I will always be the last person to see. This also makes having a conversation with the streamer difficult because he is waiting for 30 second to a minute to see a response because you see what he said so much later than it was actually said

Has anyone who develops this app opened it even once?. When browsing my followed channels, I can’t read 9/10 of the titles because there isn’t enough space given for the entire title to fit. Then I open the stream to check out what’s going on and the title is still not completely visible. You would think, no problem I can just watch for 30 seconds or so to see what’s going on, but instead I’m immediately hit with an .5-1.5 min ad. Also when the ad begins, the title completely disappears. If there was another streaming platform that cared about their user experience I would use it, but twitch has essentially monopolized the streaming market so they don’t care about anything other than profits. It’s VERY obvious. I’m sure this isn’t going to be addressed, but you guys need to get it together. The functionality of your platform is completely garbage. It takes less than 5 seconds for me to notice obvious glaring issues with the app. I’m convinced no developers have opened the app.

Recent update is bad. The app freezes, the keyboard won’t load, cannot scroll through messages in chat, and closing the app takes several seconds until audio stops playing. This is referring to version 16.8.2 of the app. This has been ongoing for the last few updates excluding version 16.7 which worked fine. UPDATE: I uninstalled the app and waited a while (don’t know if waiting helped) and reinstalled which hasn’t helped with previous versions. So far it’s working fine but I’m going to wait a while and check it from time to time to see if it continues to work properly. I will then update my review appropriately. UPDATE 2: after trying certain functions while in chat, the keyboard disappears and the app locks up with the typical several seconds for audio to stop after completely closing the app. It’s still not fixed. Come on already. Every app update states bug fixes and yet the bugs still persist.

Broken. I don’t know how this app has such high reviews. I’m just trying to use the app to watch past streams of some people I enjoy. Every time I pause the video and turn off my phone screen or switch to a different app it starts the video from the beginning, assuming it even brings up the video at all when I open the app again. When dealing with 3+ hour content, remembering your place is vital. I also can’t find a way to quit a video I started, just make it small and click on something else. (If there is a method, I haven’t found it with all my prodding and swiping). When I pause the video full screen, an overlay pops up that hides half the screen and makes it really easy to misclick something (For the 20th time, no I’m not trying to unfollow the person I’m watching, thanks), and also makes it hard to see the thing that I paused to look at. It’s ok (and actually better) to have some information and options outside of full screen mode.

Idk if it’s my fault or not. So I think the app is great but it’s not letting me watch my favorite streamer it lets me watch everyone else but it’s only this person and it doesn’t matter if I have full WiFi or if I’m using data it won’t let me watch my streamer but others it’s completely fine I honestly don’t know it might be that my phone is old and is being annoying or if it’s the app but here’s the thing up until a they finally came back to America from a trip I was completely fine I could watch them from my cousin’s house where I don’t have WiFi and I’d be completely fine and they didn’t like block me or something because I made another account and it still doesn’t let me watch them so whether it’s my fault or not I give the app 5 stars

it’s not the greatest but it’s great for streamers. 1 with channel points if you have the stream on a console you don’t not gain channel points which i found absolutely dumb because i’ve been watching a stream for around 4-5 hours and don’t get channel points which is supposed to be something that is rewarded. the app is not very user friendly for new streamers i don’t not feel you have to normally look stuff up or get help from other streamers on the topic. I also feel that some of the ban options are unnecessary and useless because if two friends are having friendly banter with each other which is extremely common they could get banned because they a said something that is innocent but certain people that the word wasn’t directed towards find it offensive so like get banned for it. i love the app but some things are unnecessary

Slowly making poor updates. Love twitch and its where I get to watch all my favorite streamers and content. Twitch used to run so smoothly for me before a month or two ago where I noticed that even when I close a stream, I would still hear the audio of that stream being played while trying to watch someone else. Both on mobile AND PC. My biggest complaint is that you took of probably one of the better features that twitch had offered on mobile and it was being able to have the picture being played when getting off the app and using another app. It made my car rides a lot more entertaining. Now reverted back to old ways of only having the audio play in the background instead brings the rating back down. Hopefully y’all make the decision to bring back picture by picture again.

Good... mostly. I do have one major gripe with Twitch for iOS. I typically watch Twitch on my TV using a game console, but I open the same stream on my iPhone because it's easier to type in chat with the phone's touch keyboard. Which works well as long as Twitch is running on the iPhone... except it doesn't. Whenever you pause your stream and then switch away from the app and then do something else on the phone, it's very likely that when you switch back to Twitch, the app will restart completely. This is really annoying because not only do you have to search for or dig for the stream again but often the app then makes you watch the 15-30 second pre-stream ad again. I don't know whether this is Twitch's fault or Apple's: I've observed it for at least a year while keeping up with the latest iOS software. Either way, please fix it!

Twitch mobile dashboard problem. It’s been some time now (for about 2 plus weeks ) and I thought that within each update that you guys did, this issue would be resolved by now. The Twitch mobile dashboard has been having this problem where only two blank fields which are the category of the stream to set what game or just general category you’re going to be doing on stream and the other field which is the ad breaks section of how long you want to set it from as low as 30 seconds to the max which is 180 seconds. Hopefully, this probably gets resolved soon cause I use this feature frequently and been having to revert to creator dashboard on my laptop because I keep forgetting that certain fields on the mobile dashboard I can’t fill in.
