Well designed, but way too many ads. I don’t know what to say other then the fact that there’s an inane amount of ads. They aren’t too long or invasive but there’s just like a lot of them and it’s quite annoying. However, the app is quite nice and I do recommend it

Zoom in feature a bit glitchy. Let me start by saying that this app is everything you could want in a minesweeper game. It’s got good controls, great themes, and an overall user friendly interface. I’ve recently purchased the iPhone 12, and when I went to play on insane mode, I found it difficult to zoom in on a certain point. What I mean by this is, when I zoomed in on an area with my iPhone 7, I insinuated an origin in which to zoom in on. However with the 12, it appears as if the origin is a fixed point near the middle, which makes it difficult to play as smoothly as before. I’ve ended up just zooming before I start the game and playing from there. On a sidenote, my daughter has been getting into minesweeper lately, but the hardest part for her is starting the game. She ends up using the google minesweeper because when you click your first square, it automatically blows out an area for you to start with, different from this game where you start with one square (best way to play imo). Might I suggest a beginner’s setting where it starts you off with a bigger area to work from? Thanks devs for a great app :)

Great game. It's a great game overall but I've had some problems with the flag button to mark the mines. I've died so many times by accident when I thought I had the button turned on. The button works itself but it's just annoying when that happens. Other than that simple issue, it's a fantastic and fun game!

Good game but the ads are AWFUL. If it wasn't for the ads would give a five. It's awful to start an expert game and click a mine on the first click and then have to wait on thirty seconds of ads. When that happens four or five times in a row it's incredibly frustrating

Adds. The adds come up WAY to much. At the start of a game it is just guessing and some games only take like 4 or 5 seconds and watching 3 thirty second adds in 2 minutes is really annoying.

Great game, too many ads. Very good port of this game, but the 20 second ads every time you reset is ridiculous.

Great nostalgic App. I think I did not play Minesweeper for at least 25 years. It reminded my on the good old days. But in the free version the amount of adds are killing me. Therefore only 4 stars.

Excellent game. I say! If you are bored, then play this. If you are on break, then play this. Got nothing to do? Play it! Such a great classic well adapted to the mobile phone scene.

Way too many ads. There are multiple ads after every move and they’re unskippable. Considering how many times you lose in minesweeper, it gets obnoxious fast.

One of the better minesweeper apps. This minesweeper version functions well and doesn’t have the same kind of lag I’ve experienced with others. Suggestion for the developers—change the default or at least make it a setting so the board is not zoomed in when you start a new one. I am playing on an iPad and play difficult or harder, so lots of squares. It’s zoomed in way too much every time I have to restart a board, and it’s annoying to have to pinch in to zoom out every time.

This game saved my life [no clickbait]. I was walking Huntington Ave coming out of a class. I had classes since 8am so i was a bit parched and i wanted to stop at a jamba juice. But ok and behold, there were no jamba juices! So i asked the nearest pedestrian for directions and the man (or women, i don't judge on looks) yelled at me and said "I'm black swan give me all yer jewels". He/she was a pirate. Anyways I didn't have any jewels, so i had to bargain with him. I asked him what else he needed and he said he would accept a check. So i went to the nearest atm and i discovered atms don't print checks. So me and black swan walked the streets for a while looking for a bank. We talked abit and I found out he's into making tapestries. I asked if i could see some of his rugs and he was so glad that someone had taken interest in his passion that he took me to his 3-story house in the North End and i've gone back every friday since. Just goes to show u this a friend can be made anywhere u go. Anyways i was playing minesweeper when a bird flew at so i threw my phone at it and i think i broke its wing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ C'est la vie!

Ads. Love minesweeper, been addicted to the game for months now… but the ads are out of hands now. I get two ads between games AND the ad on the top bar while you’re playing makes the game unplayable. Please remove some of these ads…

Controls issue. Promising! But the controls are backwards: it’s difficult (long press) to place a flag, which is the most common action. And it’s too easy (just a tap) to clear a square—which is a rarer and often game-ending move. There should be an option to switch these, so the common action is just a tap, and the risky action is a long press. Also, there’s no way to zoom to fit the screen. It’s always awkwardly a little too small or too large for that.

I enjoy this game. I'm really enjoying playing Mine Sweeper. I never played the versions, so I have no nostalgia connected with it, as others do. But I like how it keeps me thinking.

Great app. I love the app and how you can customize the game. I also like how they have an extreme mode with 600 mines and it's the only game that has a level that I can't complete in under 2 minutes almost every time. But the problem is it has way too many ads. Every new game that you play will give you an ad that is usually a 20 second video

Can’t say this enough. I’ve been searching for an intuitive yet aesthetic minesweepers app since 2011 and here it is. The answer to my prayers. When people joke “Maybe your future partner hasn’t been born yet,” this is what I imagine it’s like. All the past 23 apps I’ve tried were somewhat lacking in one of the two but this app is the best of both of worlds. Would recommend to anyone ready to satisfy their minesweeper addiction.

Just like the original. This Minesweeper is very similar to the original minesweeper game. There is one bug, the flag icon continues to blink red after losing however does not mark flags. Otherwise, works great.

It's the classic minesweeper. If you are looking for a nostalgic way to play, here it is. Just get rid of the ads every time you restart the game.

Pretty good. The only problems I have with this app is the amount of ads but I at least like it that there is an option to pay to remove them. I also like that I can make my own game boards and choose different templates just like on the computer!

There should be levels. I have won many times and I get bored

New banner ad broke the game. The latest update has added banner ads while you play the game that take up the top 1/6 of your screen. It also overlaps the top row of the game and makes it difficult to complete it. If the devs stick with this find another minesweeper app because this is not the best any more.

Great game... But too 'ad-friendly'. This is a beautiful take on the original. It's faithful and well-crafted in design. (It's Minesweeper. Not too hard to mess up. I mean, unless you're a Windows 7 developer.) Unfortunately, this game is chock full of ads. It's terrible. I'm pretty patient, and they don't trouble me much, but I know plenty of other people would like to be warned about it.)

Love It! Very Nostalgic!. I remember the last time I played Minesweeper was like 2 years ago, and I sort of lost touch with it and forgot how to play. This really helped me remember, and I'm really thankful to the app developers for restoring the game and making it look a lot nicer!

Great game. Great version of minesweeper. I like all the theme options and the second chance setting. Hard mode is the perfect difficulty for me.

Ok version. The way the game plays and sounds is cute but it’s annoying that the free version has an ad EVERY time you start a new game. Even when you don’t get very far in one game before blowing up a bomb and have to start a quick new game. It got grating so I deleted it.

Trash. Are people dumb or do they just play on easy? Because when i try a hard game i cant even start because it wont reveal a small portion of the blocks to start. You have to keep restarting the game until it decides to work and start you off properly by guessing a lot. And then theres the guess factor thats in the original minesweeper but thats not as big of deal as the first problem.

Too many ads. I love this game so much and am happy to watch ads to help the creator get profit. The ads, though, have gone from coming up every 5-15 minutes to literally after every game. If you play a game on easy that's only one to two minutes long then you get an ad after every single game. I love this app but I'm going to look for a different one that doesn't ad as heavily.

More ad time than game time. This is one of my favorite games. I think it fair to expect some ad time (or else pay for no ads). But, 30 second ads that pop up after every game (whether it is a 3 minute or 3 second game) is a bit excessive. I find I don't play much anymore because of the lengthy ads.

Very Satisfying. A very satisfying puzzle game. The only problem is the format is bigger than a phone screen, so you have to scroll around a little awkwardly. But it's not too problematic.

GREAT GAME.. I wish there were less ad pop ups, I click on them far too often by mistake. But overall super fun game, I play with my husband before bed.

Overall well-executed classic casual title. Love having both the vintage and modern themes. Worth the 99c to ditch the lengthy ads on this one. Nice soundtrack, overall a stylish, intuitive UX. Suggestions: 1. Classic MS doesn’t require tapping out all non-mine tiles, i.e., once all mines are correctly flagged the game ends. Please fix it so users don’t have to hunt down to the last non-mine tile to tap them all out, it’s annoying, and now I can see the logic behind the original MS not requiring that. 2. Would like the option to turn off just the mine explosion and leave the other SFX. 3. Love night mode! Great font choice with Avenir - I use it a lot, great font. One tweak to aid visibility: lighten up the tile borders a bit to make them more easily distinguishable to the eyes. 4. Biggest pet peeve: the flashing flag button. It’s novel, but unhelpful. Has caused several errors or second-guessing whether the button’s active or not. At least add the option to make it a solidly lit button. I’d also love for the button be larger and stand out from the menu row - maybe even add the option to place it in any corner, so lefties/righties can choose? That would be perfect. As of this version it’s honestly just poorly designed. At the very least get rid of the novel flashing effect - it’s a distraction that slows down game play. Overall, fantastic design - great work! Makes me want to check whether you’ve also done Reversi and some other classics.

Commercials. I understand apps have to make money but it can take 5 or more minutes to get a game going. This makes an app that would be great, terrible. For example you can start on the hard level and hit a mine on the second guess. Then have to watch another stupid ad before the same trouble again. When the first box hit is a 5 or 6 another start point is necessary. At least give me 5 or six moves on a hard level before I'm stuck watching 30 seconds about a game I have no interest in. Deleting this app

I love this game. I am really happy to see this is still around I loved this when I was younger and computers were basically a big block!

Love Minesweeper!. I love this game in general. My only complaint is that it is easy for me to accidentally hit a mine when I mean to place a flag. I don't know how that could be changed though. Very fun to play :)

Simple and fun. I was looking for something quick and simple to pass the time (instead of solitaire), this really hit the spot. I have poor eyesight so the large tiles are perfect for me.

Broken ad model. The ads are intrusive to the point that you can’t even play the game. Half the ads are impossible to get to clear the screen and the only way out is to force quit and hope they don’t come up again. Removing ads cost $7 for a game that was free in Windows 3. Deleted

Game-ending bug. Addictive and fun! Currently playing insane mode. I found a bug that mines show up where it should not be. I had a four that had five bombs around it. But later, I recheck it and it wasn't a 5. It's a 4.

Better than the original, perhaps. I was looking for a clone of the original. This seems to be a flawless knock off with updated graphics.

First time writing a review. For starters I wanna say I never wrote a review for an app before. Whether that has been out of pure laziness or an app has never upset me as much as this one is besides the point. Completing the puzzle on beginner to medium is no problem. Once you get to level hard the play board is much taller unless you pay for ads the ads will cover the top 2 to 3 rows of the plate board. When you scroll up it automatically scrolls you back down. Even if you turn your tablet or phone into rotation mode you will still have the same level of resistance when scrolling up to the top 2 or 3 rows of the play board. It makes for gameplay past level hard impossible so that’s why I give this app one star.

Easy way to get rid of ads. Don’t pay to remove ads. Whenever one pops up just tap the top right corner of the screen and it goes away.

Not the greatest. The game itself plays fine (let’s be honest, there’s not much to it). Unfortunately, there were a few things that made my first attempt to play it likely to be my last: 1) Very slow to load 2) There seems to be no way to turn down the game volume, and it’s set to be mind-numbing it loud 3) No obvious way to display the entire game field on a phone, even for a medium board

Best Minesweeper GUI on iOS. For some reason all Minesweeper Apps on the App Store look like Windows 3.1. It’s a dated look even Microsoft abandoned after Windows XP. It looks out of place and boring on an iPhone. Minesweeper Go has a fresh look, is easy to use, and the ads are frequent, but brief and bearable. To date, it is one of the best versions of Minesweeper for iPhone.

Great. It's free and it works well. If you mind the ads so much, it only takes a dollar to remove them too!

What the actual heck. I dont know if the people who made this game ever actually played minesweeper, but i highly doubt it. Even ignoring the deluge of ads (which is very hard to do), the main issue i had was the fact that they dont seem to know how indicators work. You know when you click a box and it gives you a number? Thats supposed to represent how many bombs are in the eight blocks immediately around the box you just clicked. I played five games (and watched ten ads it felt like), and every single time id find a bunch of ones around a block i'd flag it and move on. When i inevitably died, lo and behold, those ones were surrounding an empty box. Like what the actual heck is the point if having indicators if they dont work? Id be just as well off smashing random boxes and praying

Ad pop-ups & movies for other games. I was enjoying this game until the app started playing 25-second movies that you cannot skip through. What a waste of time!!! Then a "Family Guy" clip played today that was so disgusting. I am deleting this app and never opening again if you allow this trash to be viewed. Do you realize young kids may be playing this game? SO INAPPROPRIATE! Goodbye B&CO.

Really enjoy game and features but too many ads. I watched my friend play Minesweeper, and that got me interested i the game, so I looked on the app store to find many apps, but this seemed like the best, as it had many different features besides just the game (changing boards, etc.) But an ad shows up after almost every board, which really aggravates me, as this game is amazing. I paid the $0.99 to remove ads, and it was worth it, but I shouldn't have had to in the first place.

Great Game. Best mobile version of minesweeper I have played. If you play a lot it's worth it to pay for the ad free version as they pop up after every game.

More ads than gameplay. Imagine watching TV where the show is on for the same amount of time as the ads. Would you watch it? I don't think so. That is what this game is like. 0-60 seconds of gameplay followed by forced 30 seconds of ads. To top it off, after the 30 second ad, you get another ad you have to click out of. If you want to pay, sure. But if you don't, forget it. The ads outweighs the gameplay. PS. I don't review many games but this one is so blatantly biased to ads I just had to.

Solid 4, for an old classic. Would have gotten a 5, but I have noticed, very rarely, when you press for a flag,it doesn't come on; then you die, because you set off a mine instead of flagging it. Other than that, a great rendition of a oldschool game.

Cute game. Hard to scroll around, and frequently misplaces my tap, but fun nonetheless.

Great Game. Easy to play

Slow playing. The game doesn't let you click on a square with all the correct mines labelled to clear more space. This is inconvenient and slows the game down.

Pretty, but slow, and very annoying inappropriate ads.... The different board styles are pretty, and there are several to choose from, but sadly, that is the high point of this game. There are options to mark or flag a space, instead of the default of revealing on tapping, but if you hold a square, it always cycles flag -> mark -> nothing, so there's no quick way to toggle between mark and reveal. Why I keep getting the same ladies razor advertisement between each game is a bit of a mystery to me, since I'm not a lady, nor do I shave. The game itself is silent, except for the video ads. No explosions, and the success message is so anti-climatic it could be considered digital Xanax. It feels like whoever put this game together has only heard about it from someone else, and has never played this, or any other version. Sadly, the version that shipped with Windows 3.1 was more fun, and appears to have had more play testing. The best thing I can say about this is that there is plenty of room for improvement. For now, I'll keep it around, so I can see if it gets better with the next update.

Advertising should not be used as an irritant. - it should be an alternative for lower budget user that still provides support revenues to the developer. Try again!

Used to love it. I loved this game and have beat the insane level a few times. As of today I am looking for a new game. I do NOT want to see a distracting ad bar while I am playing or have to sit through a long ad that I can’t close.

Awesome Relaxing Game. I love the color options and the music. It's relaxing and calming for me at a medium level but if I want more of a challenge they have that too. Love it!!

Flashback memories. Other than a couple of glitches, it has been every bit as much fun as I remember.
