The FBI's Department of Puzzle Research has marked the case closed -- are they sweeping it under the rug? Or worse, do they not even care? Worried that the case will languish forever unsolved, Tethers must go rogue and venture back to the eerie town of Scoggins, Minnesota to solve the mystery of "the Hidden People" once and for all.

Excellent game from a still-developing franchise. I have now played through both Puzzle Agent 1 and 2 and I must say, I love them. The fact that it could be better doesn't mitigate that I thoroughly enjoyed and compulsively played through both games. Let me break both of those down: Why I loved the games - Doing the abstract puzzles, and the satisfaction from getting them right; especially the moment when the accepted or rejected stamp comes down. Even when you know you solved it, there's still that moment of worry; did I think of everything? - Good storytelling. The story tells itself, you only need to figure out the puzzles. But it still keeps you wanted to know what is going on and the developments are interesting - Great characters. I do find myself having every conversation with every character because they are interesting and entertaining. I love the voice acting and the artwork. - Mood. Always endearingly creepy, great art, great music, and there's something just delightful about it all. Where it could be better: - On average, Puzzle Agent 2 had better, harder puzzles than the first installment. However, it is still inconsistent and you get the idea that they couldn't come up with quite enough good puzzles so they had to throw some fillers in there - repeats, obvious ones, etc. Also, there were a few (coins in boxes, I'm looking at you) that required outside knowledge to solve. I had that knowledge, and most of the demographic playing this game probably does, but I found it surprising that they would rely upon something like that. - The story in the first one was more mysterious and more compelling than number 2. Number 2 was still good, and more satisfying as it brought things to a close, but it was less coherent and polished. - This is nitpicky, but the flyer puzzle really bothered me. It mirrored the fish-spawning puzzle from the first one, which was my favorite, but this time the puzzle did the math automatically for you and it became very easy. Challenge us! And I mean that in general. Every time I had to quit a puzzle and come back to it (which was only twice), I respected the game more and enjoyed it more. In summary, I hope they keep the style, tone, and high quality voice, visual, and music art. The heart of the game is the puzzles, and I hope Puzzle Agent 3 improves on the puzzles again as much as 2 improved on 1. This franchise is still trying to achieve its full potential, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it and endorsing it every step of the way.

One of My All Time Favorites. I loved the first Puzzle Agent. I thought the story was unique and funny, and loved the puzzles. I was really excited to see Puzzle Agent 2 come out and I have not been disappointed. I have read some of the comments about puzzles being confusing, but so far haven't had any real issue. Some of these puzzles are undeniably tough, but I think that's part of the charm of the game. I wish I could give it more stars. Please, please, please, make a Puzzle Agent 3!

Glitches everywhere!. Absolutely a fun game, but it doesn't live up to the standards set by the first. Even if it did, the enjoyment is cut seriously short by all the issues with the sound in the game. Segments of dialogue go missing, sounds get stuck playing on a loop, I even had one random sound effect play out of nowhere. And, of course, while the sound is messing up the screen freezes and I'm left wondering if it'll come back, or if the app is about the crash. Very disappointing performance-wise.

Loved both games. But did telltale only buy the rights to part 2??? Where is Part 1 in the App Store? I have it downloaded from my purchase history but if I search it in the US App Store it doesn't come up! Trying to recommend the game to a friend.

Such a great game, best on iPad. Telltale is known for making great point-and-click adventure games, and this one is no exception. Very high production values and lots of fun, too. And I'd rather play this on my iPad than on a desktop computer any day of the week!

I love this game. I've played it over and over

I can’t find tje first game. Hello creator’s I was wondering were is the first Puzzel Agent I can’t find it :(

refund please!. hi, the game doesn't work: slow, sound is choppy, unresponsive, and eventually freezes. the game will not play. your website does not address how to get a refund, please advise. i love your games otherwise.

There are so much better games out there. Plot is odd, gameplay is boring and 'puzzles' are silly except for a few.

Unsatisfactory conclusion. I love puzzle games so Puzzle Agent series seemed like a good fit. However I ended up playing the games only because of a seeming lack of alternatives. I did complete both games and found both to suffer from overly lengthy dialogue and pacing. I'm not here for the story - especially if its as obtuse as this one. Please make it zippier. If the dialogue was smarter and more brisk, then I wouldn't mind the seemingly random plot. In fact with some pacing and editing decisions the story with gnomes and astronauts might even be quirky and charming. But as presented it adds dreary length unnecessarily. I tried to tap through the dialogue sequences. I read infinitely faster than the characters talk - and the words presented on the screen. So I would have liked it if i could read the entire text dialogue, instead of having to wait for the characters to slowly eek out the lines. Tapping causes the dialogue to disappear. Maybe I could get into the story if i could read it at my faster pace? The characters speak and move too slowly. The cuts and actions of the character movements add too much idle time - without much substance. Face reaction shots from static drawn characters does not work in this game and adds unnecessary wasted time. The puzzles in the sequel were too easy - many completed in less than 30 seconds. The second of the series is by far worse - mostly because the story gets so haphazard and random that its hard to become invested in the outcome.

Still good...But glitches and too SHORT. Do not usually complain about length and price, but way too short for the cost...but lobed PA1 too much not to try it. Lingering on a scene and taking unnecessarily long to transition does not make it better, just seems like system issues. Still a very fun and good puzzle game...better than most! Alot of puzzles..some pretty challenging to figure out even what was needed, let alone answer. Love the story and graphics. Definite technical issues ... Stuttering and spelling/grammar errors. Hope there is an update with fixes and perhaps a bit more. Are we going to Bermuda next?

Super short. Way too short for a $6 game. I loved both games but this was so short i felt ripped off

Short, a little buggy, and uses recycled artwork. Game stutters a bit in places on my iPad-1, and the game uses a lot of recycled artwork. Bought it this morning and solved it the same day. That said, if what you want is more puzzles and don't mind the extension of a silly plot with recycled artwork, then it's a good buy. It has been a long time since I played the original version, but the instructions this time around seem clearer.

Fantastic series. I loved PA1, so I am thrilled that they brought out PA2 for the iPad. The artwork and story are so utterly charming and different, and the puzzles are so much fun, especially since it is so rare to find a game that focuses solely on this type of play without hidden object filler. That said, I felt that the puzzles in PA2 were slightly easier than I expected, excepting the few that required prior knowledge (crazy higher maths equation, anyone?) Some seemed a bit too obscure to divine on logic alone, while others gave too much info, making them childishly simple. It's definitely a difficult line for the developers to follow, as I'm sure they'd get complaints no matter which way they went on these... All in all, the game is certainly entertaining enough to ignore the few puzzles that are outside your comfort zone, whatever that happens to be. Great job by Telltale, as always. Keep them coming!

Good, but short and easy.. This is awesome, but shorter and easier than the first. The first was great, and with more puzzles added, this could be as great.

Very disappointing. I was really looking forward to PA2 after recommending PA1 to friends. I was really disappointed on several levels: 1) Lots of misspellings in the dialogue and hints 2) The story doesn't go anywhere funny or interesting. I found myself just skipping through the dialogue because I didn't care -- and I loved the story in the first game. 3) Music and sound effects often skip, stutter, or drop out 4) The game crashed and/or froze several times 5) The puzzles are RIDICULOUSLY easy in comparison to the first game I know everyone who liked the first game is going to buy this one anyway, but...

Rushed and Several Uninspired Puzzles. Telltale makes amazing adventure games, and Puzzle Agent ranks up there with other series like Monkey Island, but PA2 falls short of PA1. The game felt very rushed with little time to explore. Unlike PA1, you aren't afforded the same freedom to explore the town at a measured pace and instead are directed to go where the story leads you. Also many of the puzzles take a back seat to the story and many are unrelated to the plot and require outside knowledge to figure out. I felt many of the best type of puzzles from the original game such as the logic questions were excluded from the sequel and instead many of the sillier styled puzzles were done to death here, such as the chain cutting puzzle or the photo rearranging puzzle. The game does answer some questions from the first game and raises many new ones and has a few grickle Easter eggs that don't disappoint, but the game lost some of its charm by being far too linear and rushed. I hope there are more games in the series as the concept is highly original with so many possibilities.

Simplistic. Not challenging. The storyline and dialogue takes more time then the limited puzzles.

Amazing game where is ep3?. Fun puzzles with a main story line. The production and user interface are super smooth. Love it but I feel the story isn't complete yet. Where is the ep3? :)

Best game ever. This is like my favorite game and they need to make a third, no flaws

Sequel?. This is my favorite TellTale game. I wish they continued it. Also wish the first game was in the App Store...

Great game, but bugs greatly detract from gameplay.. Even after the update, there are many spots where dialog is not played. There are also spots where the animations don't display smoothly and are quite choppy. I really hope these issues get fixed, as I'm going to stop playing until they are.

Just as much fun as the first!. Start with the first puzzle agent and then move on to this one. Same fun animation, voice overs that nail minnesotans verbal quirks dead on. Lots of fun and silliness. Puzzles are not super hard, but move you on through a continuation of the story from puzzle agent 1. High production values make it worth its price tag.

Puzzle Agent 1 MIA. Hard to recommend this game since the original is still unplayable.

VERY GOOD. Great gameplay !

FIRST. I really liked the first one and can't wait for this one!!!!!

Stuck!. I am stuck in a loop at Valda's Inn...I am looking for the skier, and nothing is happening. Any thoughts?

Awesome just finished the game. I love this game please make another!!!!!!!!!

please bring back the first!!!. this is sincerely my favorite app series. I bought the first game… a decade ago (?) and have beat it a dozen times and still loved to play through it up until it became incompatible with new IOS. Puzzle Agent 2 is still fantastic but I’m dying for developers to make the first one available again!!!!!!!!

Brilliant and flawed. Okay, so the story continues on from Puzzle Agent 1 - which is great since the first one definitely ended on a "where's the ending?!". Story is great, though a lot happens very suddenly near the end. However, the puzzles either hit or miss, and when they miss they miss badly. There are some where you don't understand what is expected until you've submitted your answer. Glitches abound. And the sense of creepy is actually lower than the first. Overall I enjoyed it, but there was enough "huh?" moments ( and not just from the puzzles) to only give it 3, maybe 3.5 stars.

Love it. Couldn't put it down, just like the first one. The who done it is fun. Why so long between versions? This is my favorite game.

Unable to finish. There isn’t a way to skip over a puzzle and because of this I was unable to finish the game. I got stuck on the lander circuit game. 13 moves with 3 electrons is too much to work out in my head without being able to see the electrons move. The game wasn’t very good anyway. Long tedious dialogue, puzzles that are not fun, slow movement and full of bugs.

Make more Puzzle Agents!!!!. Telltale, I would pay $10 for a new version right now! Just saying, I love this game, I've played it twice and I hope for a new one soon?! Gamers--very fun, great and diverse types of puzzles. I even like the music.

Great game. Puzzle agent is a great game but I can't play it right now. The screen is white and It apparently can't be repaired.

Where’s the First One?. I LOVE these games. The first one is even better. Wish they would offer it…

awful game design. cute concept but at least 50% of the puzzles had a major flaw - poor construction, badly written instructions, just not well considered. the other 50% are repeats of each other and/or too simple to be interesting. i have zero experience and i could design better games in my sleep. did no one review this lol

Love it, despite its flaws. I love this one just as much as the last. But I've found some mistakes with the puzzles. Hidden sight puzzle where you arrange photos with tracks in the snow has one photo where a man shouldn't be in it and should be in the last photo. Don't let it fool you. I hope the mistakes don't keep showing up. It definitely makes the game a little more puzzling!

Fix my glitch and get five stars. It says the voice skipping is fixed but it continues to skip for me. And now I'm stuck in the house that was in the forrest, can't click anything and when I click the app it takes me directly to that screen. I loved puzzle agent one and I've enjoyed this one too, just wish I could continue. I paid seven dollars for this app so u better fix it

Not as good as the first. Disappointed by this one. Easier than the first ( not that that one wasn't easy as hell) and shorter. If you just have to know the outcome of the isac davner go ahead and get it. If not save your self the disappointment.

I love it!. This is my favorite app of all time! If I were you, I would get it!

Love.. Please make another Puzzle Agent game!

Exceptional iPad App. While not as polished as PA1, the story line, puzzles, animation, and soundtrack are all absolutely engaging. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I wish there was another one!. Love this game.

Boy was that disappointing.... First of all it's really annoying to look SO FORWARD to a sequel and be so utterly disappointed. Too short, puzzles either ridiculously easy or ridiculously hard with nothing much in between, elements of the story were completely disconnected and my biggest pet peeve of all...rife with spelling errors. Seriously, if I can dole out the cash, you guys can hire an actual text editor as opposed to running a spell check. The two stars were given for great artwork and stellar voice over work. Not much else to see here, sadly.

Need Puzzle Agent 3. Great game, kids enjoy. We do together and it becomes part of the evening routine. Can only do some much repeat!

I really miss the Prequel. This game stole my heart! It honestly changed my life, and I love it to death. But I’m really depressed that the first puzzle agent got too old and was removed from the AppStore. Like honestly, what the hell, apple and telltale?? Get your crap together. If you are looking for the first game, you can get it on steam BUT don’t do that if you wanna play on Mac because it’s broken as crap too. Works on windows.

Weak and obtuse puzzles, buggy software. First the story: creative and weird, like the last game. The first Puzzle Agent had creative puzzles with decently written instructions; Puzzle Agent 2's puzzles are either so simple that they're not challenging a all, or the instructions are written so ambiguously that you have to blindly poke and fail a few times to figure out what you're supposed to do. Te software is also buggy, even after the most recent update - particularly in the "sliding furniture" puzzles, Nelson will often disappear, meaning that since yon cant see him, you don't know how to arrange the furniture - huge fun killer! I'm disappointed, TellTale - you can do way better than this. Love your other games (especially Sam & Max on OS X).

Please bring the prequel back. This was by far my favorite puzzle game series ever. The story line is impeccable and so captivating. The puzzles were quirky and fun. Please make the first Puzzle Agent game comparable with iPad again. Sincerely, a die hard Nelson Tethers fan.

Almost there. Just as fun to play AND look at as the first. However, some of the puzzle instructions could be worded better ( e.g. Log path). Glitch-free up until Agent Tethers starts chasing (?) through the woods. From that point on, animation was jerky and the sound was stuttered. Characters are just as funny and sarcastic!!!

Good, but not as much as its predecessor. I tend to agree with most of the reviewers—The puzzles are good on the whole, but there are a handful that are confusing until you hit "Submit" to see what will happen. In addition, the story isn't as good, IMHO. Without spoiling anything, I'll just say that things take a very strange turn toward the end that leaves you scratching your head in confusion. The graphics, music, and sound effects are still top-notch, thankfully. The app is also quite stable and the game is enjoyable to play. If you played the first, pick this one up, too. The story and puzzles may not be quite as good, but it's still very enjoyable!

Excellent. Once you start playing you quickly get hooked. The story is a bit wacky and doesn't really make sense sometimes, but it's supposed to be wacky and not make sense so you just have to run with it ;) another great game from telltale.

Puzzles usually serve no purpose and are repetitive. This game is not really in the league of other puzzle type games I have played. The puzzles often have no purpose in progressing the plot and are quite repetitive.

Puzzles, Mystery and Intrigue.. Impressive release from Telltale Games. Puzzle Agent is one of their classic series along with 'Sam & Max' 'Bone' and 'Tales of Monkey Island'. These days however instead of making 'all ages' games with excellent quality, they now focus on making high impact 18+ games only, quite disappointing. Puzzle Agent 2 HD has a well-chosen voice cast, engaging puzzles, detailed hand-drawn graphics, an imaginative storyline, ominous music and good controls. The aspect ratio gets letter-boxed because iPad is 4:3 while the game is 16:9, an ignorable flaw. Could you please re-release Puzzle Agent 1?

Okay when is number 3 coming out!!. Love this game challenging puzzles and random story!

Good stuff. I played the first one and loved it. When I found out they'd released a second one, I downloaded right away. This version was enjoyable as the first. I can't wait for Tether's third outing (in Barbados?) If you like puzzle games, you'll like this.

Brilliant. I can't wait for the next one!! This series is so enjoyable and fun it beats all the other games! I have played many puzzle games but this one is so interesting and treats the player like an adult; no childish sequences, decorations, or story lines!!!!!!

Great game. Every bit as good as the puzzle agent 1. Love it !

Quirky and fun. Enjoyable puzzles. Except that one about the raccoons, that one wasnt explained well. But hints are easy to come by. Fun game

Where is puzzle agent 1?. Great game but I can't seem to find the first puzzle agent. Please put it back on the app store.

Love the first one....the second has issues.. I loved the first one, but now I am more then half way through this one and the game has a serious glitch and won't let me continue on. I'm stuck in Olav's cabin and would really like to see how this game ends. PLEASE fix it so I can finish this game!!! Otherwise love the characters and storyline.

Brutal. Worst puzzles and story I have ever seen. If I could give a 0/5 I would.

Similar to Puzzle Agent, slightly better puzzles.. If you liked Puzzle Agent, you can expect more of the same here. The puzzles here seem a bit harder, which is good. Though the puzzles still feel lacking compared to Professor Layton. The plot gets a bit hair brained though, and Tethers reacts in ways that seem out of character. Still, it was enjoyable. Not particularly long. And no annoying in-app purchases.

Thought you said you fixed the issues. I read that you put out this all seeing update that fixed the cutscenes, sound tearing and other issues. That is the reason I bought this app and as far as I can see you did no such thing. 5 minutes in I had freezing, sound tearing and glitches galore. I even had a case file get frozen on the screen! Please fix ASAP

Can You Solve The Case Sequel?. When you’re part of the FBI’s Department of Puzzle Research, you know a lot of puzzles will come your way. Agent Nelson Tethers solved the case in Puzzle Agent, but now in Puzzle Agent 2, he’s returning to Scoggins, Minnesota to finalize the case first released in the original. Get ready to solve all kinds of various puzzles as you attempt to discover the Myth of the Hidden People. The game is a deluxe mystery, and you travel around the town questioning people, and solving puzzles to figure out the mystery one small piece at a time. We covered the game during E3, and now it’s time for the full review. You don’t need to have experience with the original to fully enjoy Puzzle Agent 2, and if you’re interested there is quick summary in Tether’s journal. The game lives up to its name with so many puzzles included, and each one is completely different than the last. The puzzles are based on logic, and can become quite challenging, but it’s so worth it to figure it out on your own. You can use hints in case you’re completely stumped, and you have access to plenty of hints. The best part about the puzzles is that you need to be sure of the answer, because there is no feedback from the game until you submit your solution. Then you get to find out if you were right or wrong, and you get three attempts per puzzle. While traveling through the town of Scoggins, you’ll come across many characters to interact with. There are multiple topics to discuss with each character, and it’s up to you if you want to know the whole story, or just get to the next puzzle. The story is an outstanding mystery that is unveiled ever so carefully to keep you intrigued throughout. This is the kind of story and game that you’ll want to keep playing until the conclusion. Puzzle Agent 2 comes with tons of puzzles, and there are multiple hours of gameplay and storyline to make it well worth the purchase price. It’s the type of experience that you really dive into, and you want to curl up and enjoy it. You really need your thinking cap on for all the puzzles as well as unraveling the mystery. The art design is quite unique, and there are so many subtleties to the design from Graham Annable. The voice acting is spot on to further immerse you in the story, rounding out the great experience. Puzzle Agent 2 is an outstanding sequel that easily stands on its own. It may be the best puzzle experience in the App Store, and once you start you’ll be captivated until the finish. Puzzle Agent 2 is a should buy for your iOS device of choice, and be ready to be challenged.
