So far so good. We’ve used this app and related website five times for 1 and 2-night stays in the last month, during a highly stressful period. The rates for two if the nicer chain hotels in our area were the best on the aggregator apps we use and hotels would not match them when phoned directly, so that’s one huge plus. The other is our luck with customer service. Twice we made errors in our booking (typed wrong name / wrong date) in our distraction during our emergency and both times Agoda was able to address the change last minute with really patient and efficient customer service. I’d never heard of it before this month so that was a surprise. So...so far, so good!

Seems good but beware. App is of a good design however employs scare tactics like only 2 rooms left with in most cases is a complete lie. Also be carful with their best price offer and be ready to never achieve this reimbursement. When booking on the app you enter in the occupants. When you go to book it shows max number of occupants.. ok no problem right? Well after booking it reads occupants and then shows the max number. When I’m fact you never selected this amount. So when you go to submit a best price claim they say your occupancy is not matching and they will not credit you. Spend over and hour emailing a chain with these people and issue is still not resolved, nor will they admit the app has the issue. I travel often so it’s their loss. I’m deleting the app and never using them again. Hello Kayak, you’ve always been so good to me🤗 well…maybe not so fast. After about 2 hours of work, supporting evidence and communication through email I received my $15 credit. But since it’s Agoda cash to use it I likely need to keep the app. Just keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

Agoda lost its credibility. Please let this be a warning when booking on Agoda. Today I found out that Agoda doesn’t perform due diligence on the properties listed on their site. Nobody actually goes to the property to make sure it exists! I booked this property (Myna b307 Hamilo Place, Nasugbu, Batangas, Philippines) for my brother and another guest. Agoda sent me a confirmation number, and a receipt stating full payment for 2 nights. Went to the property based on the Agoda map but was told by the guards of Club Punta Fuego (where the supposed property was pinned), that Hamilo Place is about 9 kms away. So they drove to where the property is, and in fact it existed, only about 9 kms away from where it is on Agoda’s map. The receptionist couldn’t find my booking. I called Agoda and was told they will get in touch with their “hotel partner” who will get in touch with the property, then they’d call me back. They never called back but they sent an email saying they couldn’t reach the property. I replied asking what my guests should do? Agoda sent an apology email but never offered an alternative. Unacceptable and very unethical. I need my money back.

SCAM BOOKING COMPANY - DO NOT USE!. SCAM BEWARE! They show photos of pools and amenities in listings that cost extra upon arriving at the hotel. When we complained they would not issue a refund. I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company but I will never use them again and would advise no one else use them. How would you feel to view pictures of a pool with a listing and, upon check-in, the hotel wants to charge you extra money. Horrible bait and switch scam don’t fall for it! ZERO customer service and after traveling to Vietnam, Thailand, Mexico and countries all over I’ve never ever booked a room with a pool then have to pay extra for it! Reporting to BBB but probably will never see our money back. Horrible experience on vacation. Update: they respond with standard automated reply - it serves nothing and they do nothing, it’s just for show on their reviews, pathetic!!!

Not recommended at all. I don’t recommend Agoda as it’s not that legit as it seems to be, I had an issue last night where I had booked two nights in a hotel in Abu Dhabi - UAE and the app has confirmed and amount has be deducted from my credit card then after few minutes I was surprised by an email from Agoda claiming that a tech error had happened and the booking didn’t go through and the amount which has been deducted will be returned but it may take 30 days !!! So I tried again to look into the same hotel I booked in and found that the price has raised up for no reason for the same offer !!! And this all was just in minutes. So it didn’t go well at all. But the other big issue which I faced with them and it’s totally linked to them is that my credit card details was stolen (while I was booking using their mobile app where these transaction should be more secured) so I was surprised that after 3 or 4 hours my credit card was used to buy stuff online it was bought from “Estee lauder online” !!!! So I had to block my credit card and report this transaction with my bank to run an investigation about it. So it’s not legit at all !!!!

Scammers. Agoda is a scammer. We made 2 bookings through their app. One was made for a wrong date. So they needed to refund us for that night. Which is so difficult to do it with them for some reason. Also we got charge 3d time, which is a total for those 2 nights. Ao basically we got charged for 4 nights, instead of one. Qe have contacted the hotel where we stayed, the manager was a very nice lady, she said she will refund us if agoda calls her to confirm. Guess what, agoda says they contacted the property and they are not refunding us. Which is a lie. Avoid these scammers. Because I still can’t get my money back for weeks . P.S even with their reply on my review, the still lie and go around with no solution. Avoid this platform, I have never experienced such difficulty to get a refund for a service I didn’t use.

Stealer money. If I would have read the reviews I wouldn’t have book accommodation from Agoda !! They steal my moneys so easily!! I have booked 60s condo Hua Hin Thailand !! When I made a booking they said they will send Address details so I booked and paid ! I waited and waited for the address information but no information at all then we arrived at Hua Hin . I have been walking awful long time to find it ! I went to some condo asked about and nobody no what 60s Condo is even I went to the corrected building!! So I sent emails and tried to call but no reply at all !! So I had to book another property to stay ! Then I received the message from Agoda we won’t responsible for it and none refundable!! If were you what would you do ? So Agoda and Owner of 60s condo were totally Fraud ! They took your money and walked away!! Should anybody use their services??

Agoda Error ruins our trip. I always use Agoda and love it. However, this last trip was ruined by it .We fly halfway around the world and drag our bags to an Agoda booking only to find out that it is full. Even worse the owner says he had already contacted Agoda about the issue. We were stuck in the lobby which didn’t have WiFi scrambling to find a place before our events started. Called Agoda and explained the situation they said there were no other rooms in the area and gave us a refund admitting fault. We only had two days in the country and are forced to spend it waiting for slow pages to load while we try to book a room. Places are mostly full now. After even more hours complaining they finally offer a $91 dolar voucher which I appreciate the effort. But, our tickets were $1,600 each. And we are being forced to stay in a place 30min from our event which means we have to go there and back everyday. It doesn’t seem like Agoda cares how their mistake effected our trip

Scam. Agoda is a complete scam. Positive reviews are untrue and certainly sourced through app reviewing services for boosting their score which would have been negative if possible. First and foremost, don’t count on your resi arriving at the hotel - I’ve been working for weeks on getting my reservation processed with hotel and it still hasn’t happened. Customer service is basically nonexistent (takes hours to connect and if you’re lucky, hours to resolve smallest issues). Furthermore, the app is misleading in their offering and does not guarantee rooms consistent with their product offering. I’ve been completely ripped off by them for a bachelorette weekend that I’m organizing and all guests experience huge issues, resulting in a loss of the booking about (in my case 1000) and necessity to book a last minute resi at the hotel.

Don’t use. Always makes everything harder than it should be!! Cancellation: has to go through an agent and deducts a high penalty fee based on their calculations…Bugs on the help/contact us feature: I got kicked out of the chat window 10+ times before I could finish typing and sending my messages out. Service: very disappointing! First time took me 3 months without solving a double charge that was clearly their fault. Second time took 2+ hours to do their so called price match. Price match: totally a scam. They only accept price match claims after you paid; and even then, rejected me twice for an obviously wrong reason. Third time the third agent finally approved it but refunded less than the price difference. I had to argue again for such a simple math. Also, they only refund you through Agoda cash and not through credit card payment, and that Agoda cash expires very soon and has tons of restrictions so you often can’t use it…

Lie customers. Hidden fee. Extra fee is not shown when shopping a hotel to make the hotel to be cheaper on this app comparing with other app. It is hard to write a review on this app to be posted. Your review on this app must be reviewed by Agoda and may never posted if Agoda reject when your issue is related to Agoda too. Never admit Agoda false and always through issues to others that costs a problem. This app is not on customers side. Quick reply, but no real resolution to be resolved. If you book this app and pay up front, you will never be refund; even though, it is not your false after booking. If refund, booking fee remaining kept. Better to stay a way this app. If you book on this app, only book for one night. Don’t ever book more nights on this app. If you failed to arrive the first night, all booking nights will be cancelled and no refund to be given. It makes no sense to cancel all booking nights when paid upfront and fail to arrive a first night. The posted room on the app may not the same picture room at the hotel. Better to see in person before booking on the app.

Poor customer service. I travel a lot, using different apps to get best deal. I though I found a good price with this app, paid for the room, fees, taxes. After my trip I received a bill from the hotel for an extra charge for a residence fee. I was surprised because I was sure, I paid for everything when was booking and It didn’t say anything about any charges upon arrival. Connected with hotel, they said it’s their policy to charge for residence fee and Agoda (third party company) should inform me about that. I connect with costumer support, they took all info and told me wait 24hr for respond. Little later their confirmed me that I was charged extra for a residence fee and they can’t do anything about that. I emailed them 3 times, I disagree with the charges, they suppose to inform people advance and have this information when you booking, they are unprofessional. I just want to let people know, that this company doesn’t care about their customers, I will never book anything again with them. They keep saying sorry, but it doesn’t help and not fair.

Beware. I use it for my trip to Vietnam. I booked hotels, Apartments, and flights. I have problem with the airlines because when I use Agoda I use the English language and so my name doesn’t appear with the little accent in Vietnamese language and was charged extra at the airport even thought my US passport is a match to the reservation. Booking hotels is not all bad there was some good deal however they do faults ads so read the fine print because I was charged full price for no show even when the reservation was cancelled. I booked a private apartment and that was a big mistake. Muong Thanh Apartment Luxury in Da Nang Vietnam. Agoda told me to pay to the owner. When we check in we did not pay much attention, but when we settled in we found out the bathrooms and the bedrooms were infested with black molds. The living room and kitchen was infested with bugs. And there was no hot water. We call Agoda and they told us to talk to the property owner and work it out with them. We have to check into a hotel the next day because it was a health hazard and the owner can’t fix the problem. He promised to refund after he talk to Agoda. You guessed it, there was no refund and the but me as a no show on the Agoda app so I can’t write a review on Agoda. I took pictures of the apartment and showed them but they said it wasn’t enough proof.

Awful app for booking the hotel. Don’t use it ! They canceled your order without notice!!!!! If I could I definitely put 0 star! Never use again ! We’ve booked hotel (San Francisco for 2 night (August 16-18)bay landing hotel at July 18,they’re canceled my order without the notice me ? I can not imagine if I didn’t review all my schedules, fortunately I had reviewed. For sure I order it and called bay landing hotel to double make sure I got this order, the hotel confirmed, but things is this app sent me a conformation email, asked me to upload my ID and major credit before August 13, I really did at August 8), but they still cancel it! I don’t know why they kept my ID and major credit??? I guess that must be someone pay higher price for my two nights, really disappointed! Never use it! And I will sent this experience to my feedback share with my fans. I called the customer service they told me that’s not their problem ! It’s system canceled my order, they’re refused to say sorry to me.

Downloading and try to remove. I downloaded this app for travel purposes. Once I realized I did not like the app so much, I removed it from my iPhone. Then I started noticing that the app was hiding in the background without being download it the next day. Mind you I had already deleted the app and removed it from my phone… I have removed it now after three months 20 times. I’m wondering why this is happening. I’ve wrote to them and told them that I would not like to see it on my phone one more time if I did I’m going to seek legal counsel against the parties who continue to be uploading it onto my phone. This is not a good app I believe it is a scam please do not download it. It will not be completely removed off of your phone, it will keep attaching itself to your phone. I’m not sure what it is but, I’m very unhappy with this matter. So I’m reaching out to my lawyer today in reference to the app and the developers and see what they can do for me. Steer clear from this one

Scam!!! DO NOT BOOK!. i booked a 5 stars hotel from agoda and got an email that stated there was an error and that the booking was not completed and i was not charged. I was in fact charged. They provided me with 2 confirmations numbers, both of which hotel stated they do not have reservations. I even got a confirmation from the hotel stating that they do not do business with Agoda. When you email customer service, different people respond every-time you reply. When called, they keep saying they did not charged but my bank statements says otherwise. They also say they need to check with the “supplier” when asking why it has taken so long to get the issue resolved. 3 months later still trying to dispute it. DO NOT USE! Apple should remove this scam of a company off their app

Do not use Agoda to book a hotel you’ll be sorry. Here is my sad story, book a hotel room for my sons birthday near Disneyland, they charged my card the very moment, next day they email me from their fraud department saying that they need it a picture of my ID and Credit Card ( red flag) Called the Hotel asking if that was their policy and they say no, try to contact Agoda and not luck they do not respond to emails, there is no a phone number to call . Found a number from New York office nothing, they send me another email the day of my arrival saying that I have canceled my reservation NOT true.. they left me without a place to stay for my and my kids, unforgivable who does that.. evil company .. Beware I’m still dealing with refund money.. Donnot use them Hotel manager told me is not the first time that happened and that everyone has something to say about Agoda… please stay away …You Been Warned!!!!!

Worst experience ever!! Don’t use agoda at all!!. I booked an hotel with a very good price, I chose to try this agoda thing for the first time, because it was a little bit cheaper. After a couple of days I received an email saying that I cancelled my reservation (Which I did not) and when I tried to contact them I never get a proper reply, just automatized emails telling me to book again. Of course, when I look the prices they were way more expensive and now I check and they are sold out. Don’t trust agoda with your travel plans, it totally ruined my trip, after getting all the arrangements, and of course they don’t even care or reply, or take care of you, if they made a mistake they should take care of it. Just be safe a don’t use this app, go with the companies that you know!

Very uncomfortable. I found a booking through Agoda where I got the best price offered. After going through the process I got a email requesting card information. I thought it was fraudulent so I deleted. Upon confirming my booking I just found out the want me to send a picture of the front on my card to make sure it’s not fraud and today is the day I need my room! I’m so uncomfortable with a process like this and Agoda really needs to rethink this process. To many fraudulent people in the world and even though it is through my cell phone, they can be hacked as well. Nonetheless I’m roomless for now. I will never boom with any company that asks for my card to prevent fraud. That’s what my bank is for. Other than that great prices hate I have to miss out! The guy said my card will not be charged even though that was the card I used to book so we shall see!

Convenient. I’ve been using Agoda for 5 years now. Booking hotel in this app is fast and easy same as if you make amendments in your bookings or if you make cancellation. If there is no option to make amendments, their customer service is very good in helping you out. The best thing i love about this is you can book hotels and pay it later, also you can cancel your bookings without fee for certain period of time. Also, I love how they offer good discount rates even for high-end hotels. I never had problems in the past using Agoda for booking Hotels.

Agoda is the worst. The app is okay, but Agoda itself is the worst. I’m pretty sure all the agents are off-shore, and the customer service is the worst. They left me and my boyfriend stranded in the middle of China during Chinese New Year because they didn’t actually book any of the rooms even though we’d paid. Then after an over 40 minute phone hold, international calling btw, at 6 pm after a 16 hour train ride, they promised a $150 return for another booking — they never honoured it and changes the stipulation for it. Then they did two double charges for rooms in Cambodia and charged me for a room I never booked through them in Thailand. I had booked it using Booking because I was so sick of them and their app issues, luckily, Booking didn’t precharge me like Agoda did (I never even consented to the booking) and the hotel was awesome enough that they just canceled the Booking res since Agoda already took out my money and didn’t make me go through the hassle of a fruitless fight with Agoda. Again. Never use them. Never using them again.

Worst experience. If I can rate them 0 I would do but I can’t put a review with out sadly put a star. Guys be careful of this scam, they cheated us and canceled our reservation after booking 5 month in advance and they are saying we want your credit card and is ID PICTURES ( which sadly we sent) still they canceled our reservation so they can sell it for higher rate at the last minute and they told us if we want we can re book on triple the price! Very concerning website and representative talk like a robot and do nothing beside cheating you! They ruined our very expensive vacation for over seas I hope there will be some legal work against them as they are really a full scam! Please be aware and don’t go through the fraud we went through!

DO NOT USE- SCAMMED OUT OF $350. ZERO STARS. we booked a hotel for the following day and there was “one room available” we thought it was weird because there were zero rooms available on the reliable websites- orbitz, Expedia, etc.- we booked, and had $350 taken immediately out of the bank account. When we showed up at our hotel the next morning there was no record of our booking at the hotel (which was SOLD OUT), we had no confirmation email, and whenever we called customer service it was completely automated.. when the customer service wanted our booking number (which was never sent) we were promptly HUNG UP ON. This happened multiple times even with the 5 star hotel calling to try and resolve the issue. On top, we found out their customer service is only open mon-fri 9-5. So we are now out of $350 and need to pay a second time for our hotel room at the same day rate of $500+. This website is ran out of Singapore and is a scam.

Could not be worse experience. We ordered the Legoland hotel and got the confirmation email before we made the vocation planning. But when we arrived at the hotel after hours of driving from north California, we were told by the hotel that they were overbooked and they couldn’t contact us because they didn’t have our contact information, they suggested us to contact where we placed the order. So we tried to call Agoda, we told the customer service the problem and each time the call was received by a different customer service, they said they were trying to contact vendor and promised to call us back in 30 minutes but never did that. After calling them 4 times and they promised the manager would call me later but never did. Our child was really disappointed and fell asleep since it’s midnight, we had to find another hotel… I am wondering why they sent the confirmation email but couldn’t guarantee it? Why customer service passed the problem from one to another then another? Why they didn’t give a reply at the time they promised? Why customer should pay for agora’s mistake? The reputation of agoda is ruined, people can’t believe what agoda has promised. You can’t expect them to do what they have confirmed and can’t believe the customer service can help to fix their issues…

Unethical billing practices!. Terrible service!!! I looked at the reviews, saw my price, booked online and I was charged $30 more than the advertised price, although the site said “taxes and fees included” on my final price. It also said “you will pay at the property” and “Book Now. Pay at hotel.” My bank put my business debit card on hold because the transaction was run out of the ordinary from Bangkok, and also there was a $300 charge on my card that I was never told about and did not authorize. Well, the card was blocked. The transaction did not go through. And my wife, myself, and my 2 year old were outside the apartments in a big city for 1 hour while I was on a text exchange with customer service, who contacted the facility manager. The manager called me and would not let me in because they could not authorize the hold, which was blocked on my card at my out of state bank that I could not contact until the next day. Security was parked outside with his flashers on while we waited the last 20 mins. Embarrassing and frightening. Frustrating and hidden charges. I was left with my family and I having to go out of town to stay with extended family who had to stay up late to accommodate us. Never again.

MONEY STEALERS. Well.... The facility was not appealing in person. Room had very little to no air flow. With the poor air quality (wildfires), the breathing air in the hotel was concerning to my health as I already suffer from asthma and environmental allergies. It was small, crammed, and stuffy. I was already beginning to experience an asthma flare up and allergy symptoms. Anyway, I ended up NOT staying there at all! I booked myself another hotel elsewhere. I wanted to get out of the hotel I had booked with Agoda so desperately that I even wasted more money than I had budgeted for. I don’t regret it. I do however regret booking through Agoda. The hotel was willing to refund me my money, BUT they couldn’t because I booked the rough a third party (Agoda). I still left knowing I wouldn’t get a refund. I tried to speak with Agoda customer service, but there was no way of getting through or getting someone to call me. Unfortunately, this is the first and last time I ever use Agoda! I will definitely not recommend Agota to anybody. And if I hear someone is trying to book through Agoda, I will definitely share with them my experience and convince them not to use Agoda!

Customer Service is the worst. I used this app to book a hotel in Brussels from US and even tho the transaction was in US dollars, it went through as GBR (pound sterling) in the system. Because of this glitch in the system I was automatically charged international fees by my bank and this is just absurd. I have booked before with another card and have never being charged international fees (even though the card has international transaction fees). I contacted their customer service and they refuse to credit back the 3% in fees because it has something to do with the bank when it is actually the apps fault for classifying the transaction in GBR (my bank directed me to talk with the company). I sent pictures as proof and the only transaction made that day shows agoda and the fee only. And they are not even understanding that it was the only transaction done on that car in 1 day plus it shows that the fee was based on the merchant, in this case agoda. Won’t be booking with them ever again. Their representative Ken/Camille were not even understanding of the situation and provided the worst customer service. Now I gotta eat the fee because of the app and their unwillingness to understand and help.

My favorite hotel website. I use agoda almost exclusively because it’s the easiest to use with the best photos, info and filters. Would be awesome if I could book two different kinds of rooms at once. I recently booked a room for my parents at the same hotel with myself and my husband. My parents can afford a nicer room and I had to go through the checkout process twice because agoda won’t allow you to choose two different classes of rooms at the same time. Just a little annoyance. Also, I’d be so happy if we could sort hotels based on how highly people rate them. We can only do it based on price or hotel star rating. Stars aren’t nearly as important to me as customer satisfaction. Even if these things don’t change I’ll be a loyal customer, though. Thanks for having my back over and over, agoda!!!

Agoda cancelled booking. I booked Hotel 101 for 2 nights through Agoda website a month. I received email that my booking was confirmed. Then, three days before our hotel stay I receive a call and email that my booking was cancelled. The reason Agoda gave was that the hotel the hotel cannot accommodate my booking due to being fully booked. But since I want to check if there is available room, I called Hotel 101. They told me that Agoda didn't forward the booking to them as soon as I booked it the website and now they don't have available rooms so they need to cancel it. Lessons learn: if you book through Agoda or any other travel website - need to double check with the hotel if the reservation is confirmed. Now I need to look for a different hotel for our switch means paying more because booking too close to the date stay.

Do not book hotels from this app. I booked a hotel in lower Manhattan New York with this app. It was near Chinatown and the address showed that it was in lower Manhattan near Chinatown. The map even showed the hotel is at lower Manhattan. So I booked the hotel for 3 nights. I paid a little for the option to cancel my hotel if anything happens. After I paid I found out that It actually didn’t put me on the option to pay a little extra to be able to cancel my stay and get my refund. Didn’t think much of it because I was going to make the trip anyways. Come to find out the hotel actually wasn’t even in lower Manhattan. When I got the confirmation email, it showed a totally new address which says it’s in New Jersey. The email also had an attached PDF file and in that PDF file it says that it’s in Chinatown New York.. so I looked up myself on google maps to try to find the hotel but I could not find it on the map at all in lower Manhattan. Their website was not helpful at all for me to dispute this. They provided me with false information. I will be disputing this with my bank and I have proof of the false information they provided on their app. I advise others to Never use this app!

Poor customer service and site issues. Booked a hotel and the booking went fine. Then got an email that there was an issue with the card used for booking. Re-entered the card details and got an error, tried another card and got the same error. Had me thinking I was on some phishing site that commits credit card fraud. Emailed customer service who then turned around and said my booking was confirmed. Only to get an email from the hotel through their site saying my credit card had an error, emailed the hotel that the booking was confirmed. Then woke up to an email saying Agoda canceled my booking because of card error. What’s even more lovelier is that the not so nice customer service email basically accused me of not having a valid card, a card with insufficient funds(eye roll), and that my card may not have the ability to be used in foreign areas. Funny cause I’ve been living overseas for the past 5 years with these same cards/accounts and used these cards that same day and to this day. Now I have to monitor for credit card fraud thanks to their inaccuracies

Needs work. This is a great app but many of the buttons doesn’t work such as PayPal. I called support and they told me you can either use a card or book somewhere else. In fact, my friend was also having issues with her PayPal button and couldn’t pay for her booking. She also said she had other customers using PayPal without any problems. I wasn’t trying to call for other customers I am calling for my issue and don’t want to be compared with what the other customers are doing? Every issues is different and just because someone have one issue and the other don’t, doesn’t make the the app amazing. This needs more work and so does some of the agent. Thank you

Great until you’re stranded. We used this app and the first time it was good. The second time we were stranded, 6 hours from home, all hotels were booked unless we wanted to pay $550 a night. Called customer support, got hung up on after holding for 30 minutes. Started to speak to the chat person. After 30 minutes on the phone with the hotel and customer support (they talked to each other), the chat person said they would call or email me with a resolution within 30 minutes. They also sort of blamed us for their ‘mix’ up, asking if we called the hotel to confirm our reservations. Umm….no….I had a booking number and confirmation number…why would I call? You had my credit card number and I authorized the charge….hmm. The hotel accommodated our family (we paid a little more than expected, but not much) because they understood how frustrating the customer service was with them and us. Customer service emailed us back 7 HOURS LATER….long after midnight with one hotel option for the NEXT DAY!!! Good thing we didn’t wait for them to ‘fix’ it. No way will I use this app or company ever again. They only thing they were helpful with was absolutely nothing.

Lancaster hotel in Mactan, Cebu Philippines. Very disappointing. Not safe, no wifi, no phone. The room is dirty and dilapidated. I have pictures to send. You should not call this a hotel. It is a dump. Toilet does not flush, and we have to go down to front desk to report and maintenance guy came and said he will fix it tomorrow. Not staying here another night. Not deserve a star at all. Agoda this place is in contrary to what you state in your website. NO WIFI at all. Not even a phone to call the front desk. Where can I download my pictures of this place? They registered my booking. They registered my booked under my email name I almost lost 400 they funny thing is I entered my name when I was making the reservation, but they decide to give my user name to the hotel. I call them to change they are more willing to protect the user and they would even refund. I had to contact the hotel to help. I trusted these people, but they are scam stay away I never leave reviews. Stay away from this app. Their customer service is trash. They just want your money no help. They couldn’t even fix a mistake they made and they were protecting the user name.

Mimidi. The room was very nice and clean when we moved in. the next day the bed was made but not neath The pillows were on the floor the trashcan had not been emptied the coffee ingredients had not been replenished the water had not been replenish the dirty towels have been removed but no fresh towels had been added none of the shampoo amenities had been replenished I called housekeeping after we had gotten back to the room and seen the condition and they said someone would come back up and take care of it for two hours has passed and no one had showed we were leaving for dinner and I asked one of the ladies that had the med cart out in the hall if she would be able to Help us put our room back together she was lovely and more than willing to finish completing our room

horrible experience. Very cumbersome app. Tried booking 3 different rooms at a hotel for a family trip. App kept prompting me to enter info for each room individually. Could not select all rooms and then check out. Finally gave up and selected 3 of the same room. Entered all info and credit card for non-refundable payment. Still did not get a confirmation. Then received an email requesting my photo ID and a photo of my credit card for fraud prevention. No other site I have booked with ever does this. Submitted the requested photos and one hour later still have not gotten confirmation!! It’s a holiday week and I’m in limbo while Agoda has my info on non-refundable booking but not yet confirmed!! Either confirm or decline so I can book through another app. Very incompetent and frustrating!!

Regular hotel app. I use this app occasionally. I tend to use whatever one has the cheapest prices as I’m unfortunately homeless due to unemployment complications and the department dropping the ball on my account..(admittedly)..so I have had no choice but to live in my vehicle but the summer heat has led me to need a place to go into so I stay at hotels Constantly, booking hotels is a regular thing for me and always trying to seek the best prices etc. This app is fine, regular experience..nothing too special, I really don’t get much from the rewards, I wish it was more beneficial but otherwise, it’s just normal, regular hotel app🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ not much to it (personal opinion based on personal experience, other opinions/experiences may differ😉👋🏼🤝)

Major Product Bug, charged me wrongfully and no refund. If you login via phone number, instead of linking to your original account, Agoda will create a new account. I didn’t know this (since I have my phone number saved in my normal Agoda account). Made a booking that I later wanted to cancel. Could not find it for the life of me when I logged in. So I thought the booking didn’t go through. A month later the charge shows up on my credit card bill. I call Agoda and find out about this other account that I had no idea about and had no access to. Agoda would not refund me for the booking. Their client service is just call center somewhere overseas and they can’t make these decisions and would not escalate. I can’t talk to a real person who gave a crap. They don’t care about their customers. 0 stars if I could. Told all my friends too.

Spent too much to deal with this. I’m so tired of this company I made them close out my account just now. Let’s start with their misleading “platinum status” they claim I have that shows no benefits of having. It states that I can get an extra 25% off of my booking. When I call to see why this isn’t happening when I try to book a hotel they claim the hotel I’m at may not participate in the deal....Even though the platinum status (minus the percentage off) automatically attaches itself to the hotel I’m trying to book & even says I can get Agoda cash if I book it so that makes no sense. What con are you trying to pull, Agoda? Then when I tried to book later reservations through this app it now keeps claiming that for “unforeseen reasons” they were unable to confirm my reservation. I call only to be told it’s because they can’t confirm there are available rooms, but I’m in the same room I have been for a couple months & the people downstairs state there are rooms available. I spent too much money with this company. From their failure to accommodate a customer, false advertising, to the conflicting information I get each time I call, I’m over it.

A complete pile of an app. I picked up this app at the suggestion of a traveler that had just come through Southeast Asia. In the last 4 days I have worked with it to make two reservations and both of them have gone horribly wrong. Hosts are asking for money through 3rd part apps even after I provided my credit card number for a non refundable deposit to agoda. Hosts send me messages randomly whenever they have something to add instead of composing a complete mesage for me. Neither host answered questions about the accomodation. One host kept telling me that I had done things wrong and that I needed to cancel the booking and rebook through booking dot com. Calling customer service was no help- the representative actually told me to click the external link and pay (after my non-refundable boocking) via the 3rd party. Stay far, far away from agoda and this app!

Infuriating experience. I booked a room at Motel 6 for $40 on Agoda. There is a timer on the booking page that clearly says my rate is being held so long as I complete the booking within five minutes. I did. A few knifes later I get an email stating that my booking was canceled due to “an unforeseen technical error.” I went back to book the room again. Now the rate is $49. I had just barely enough to pay for the room at the $40 rate...a rate that was being held if I completed the order on time - which I did! I called customer service and (after about 15 minutes of arguing and begging) they finally agreed to compensate the difference in “agoda cash” which I could apply to the booking. Fine. So I went to make a new reservation, except on the check out page there was no option to apply the agoda cash. Turns out the property is a “pay at hotel” property, which evidently means I can’t apply agoda cash to it. So the $9 of agoda cash that they begrudgingly gave me when they screwed up does me NO GOOD anyway and doesn’t actually compensate me in any way. I still don’t have any way to pay the higher rate and I have no way to relocate to some other property. What a load of garbage! The site clearly guaranteed that rate if I completed the booking in time! And I did! I held up my end of the bargain, you should too! Never using agoda again and will be reporting this story through every agency I can think of and sharing it through every social forum I know. Bunch of garbage.

Horrible hotel experience. When I arrived at the hotel they told me that the travel app (Agoda) I used attempted to pay them with a virtual credit card that was not working. The hotel was not paid by Agoda and therefore the hotel would not honor my reservation. They instructed me to cancel the reservation with Agoda. I was on the phone for 45 minutes standing in the lobby of the hotel with a representative from Agoda who told me at first they were gonna give me a cash refund, which is not a thing. I told them to reverse the charge. They told me that would take 30 days. I insisted that that also was not a thing. Eventually while on the phone I got an email stating that my reservation was in fact canceled, and after many attempts Agoda was able to reach the hotel front desk and confirm with the hotel to cancel my reservation and not get charged a cancellation fee. I then had to check in at the front desk of the hotel with a new reservation, which to their credit they gave me a cheaper rate than what I had in the Agoda app. Although, that hotel was really awful. Like feces in the hallway horrible.

CHEAT. Don’t use this app. They Cheat.. I searched for hotel in Ho Chi Minh for April 2-3 before my visit on March 31 when I was still in Hong Kong. For some reason this app pops up and offers me a “super-deal” and I gladly accept this deal without a detailed reading. Now here comes the CHEATING, the date is not April 2-3 but March 31-April 1. I have no way of visiting this hotel because I was in Hong Kong ! I called several times to Agoda and this hotel refused any negotiation regarding of the refund of my lost. I work in Internet Marketing industry, I suddenly realize that I have become a victim of a designed scheme of internet marketing cheating. They buy advertising banner for very different dates and decoy customers with a good deal and in reality customers have no way of living in this hotel. This trick is just a blatant cheat and Agoda customer service promised to look into it with promise of emails but I got no single email so far. This is such a breach of decency of business. Don’t trust Agoda, use Booking instead.

Forced cancellation three days before the trip. So i got an email 5 days before the stay saying that my credit card did not go through (which the same card had no problem on another website when I booked it later). They said that I need to redo my payment within 44 hours to avoid booking cancellation, they also gave me a link to redo my payment. My card didn’t go through again, after a few attempts, the link showed “Sorry, this link has expired and can no longer be used to pay for this booking". So I went back to the app, there is no place in the app that I can redo the payment to avoid cancellation, the app said that you need to open the link (which was expired) that was sent to your email in order to pay. So that was a bug in the app. I tried contacting agoda customer service and got no respond, I tried calling the hotel and no one spoke English. Then I received an email from agoda saying that my booking was cancelled because I did not made the payment on time. I ended up needing to book another hotel three days before my stay, which the choices left for me were pricy hotels and bad locations. So yea, no more agoda for me.

Will NEVER use Agoda again!!!. My family planned a trip to Dallas. At the time we had no way of knowing that pretty much everything we were planning on doing was closed due to COVID-19. My husband called the hotel to cancel our reservation, but was told to contact the 3rd party booking company. Well it sure doesn’t tell you on Agoda’s website how hard it will be to contact them if there is a problem. I understand having restrictions but when it comes to the well-being of your customers that should ultimately come first. Why would a person want to travel to a place where pretty much all there is to do is to sit in a hotel room or risk contracting a virus. I would never recommend a company that is so heartless and uncaring to their so-called customers. Please thank twice before using this company. Once they have your money they are done with you.

Got lucky…but confirmed accurate reservation with property to be sure.. I’ve booked three stays with agoda in the past 6 months. Each time I received the stay, in the intended room I booked. All three stays were at a resort in St Pete Beach, Florida. I have to say that Agoda has some “extra” room categories that are actually duplicates with different titles. So you may book a gulf Front suite for $225 and a sea view suite for $300 and they are actually the same suite. I recommend doing your research, which may include looking at other sites/property site or confirming with hotel. It might be extra work but the savings on Agoda made it worth it for us. I actually also confirmed with Agoda app under bookings and with someone over the phone with Agoda. Each time the information matched up. Felt especially confident after hotel directly was able to confirm after booking. Have to say, I’d do all these things, with any third party booking site.

Worst EVER DO NOT BUY HERE!. I found my ticket online. Purchased the ticket, which indicates “ Guaranteed room”. Got to my hotel, and they informed me they were TOTALLY booked out and the app was 100% incorrect. There is NO WAY POSSIBLE to contact ANYONE AT ALL with Agoda ~ LITERALLY they ONLY offer an “virtual assistant” that is completely useless when I am standing at the hotel in front of the hotel agent trying to explain to her that the ticket I bought says the room is “guaranteed as well as nonrefundable and furthermore indicates if I no show I will still be charged”. Hotel agent says “we are sorry, the app is incorrect because we have no rooms available and you will have to get a refund from that app”. Yet there is NO PHYSICAL way possible to get ahold of ANYONE to have them speak with the hotel agent. Not only has Agoda charged me $115 for a hotel room that WAS NOT AVAILABLE, but now I CAN NOT GET MY MONEY BACK because there is NO WAY TO CONTACT them to request the refund. I did eventually find an email address to Agoda, but NO ONE RESPONDED!! The phone numbers listed are ALL DISCONNECTED ~ the voicemail just says to go back to the app which as I said ONLY OFFERS a virtual customer assistant. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE!!!

One of the best hotel discount apps for Asia. Update: developer sorted the issue quite quickly, read the previous review. I’m still note sure about the flights section, will give it another try once the borders open up again OLD REVIEW: I’ve been using Agoda for almost a decade, always been happy with their service...so when they added airlines, I jumped on it and bought ticket to Seoul. That was the worst decision, they use a 3rd party provider which complicates things to say the least. Even though the airline cancelled my flights 3 months back, I still have no confirmation of my refund...last email I got from them (2 weeks back) it says we will let you know between 2-4 months!!! That will be a whole 7 months I have them $1300. Every time I call, I’m told they have no feedback from their partner....which obviously doesn’t fill me with confidence. The funny thing is, I booked a hotel at the same time and that’s been as painless as ever, the moment I called them explained the situation....I got a full refund, even though I had no cancellation policy. Avoid booking a flight if you can, I will still recommend the hotel side.....if they a better partner for flights or go direct I would reconsider. Until then, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Agoda review—hotels. Have been very happy using Agoda, mostly for travel outside the USA. I only use Agoda for booking hotels so can’t speak to other services (flights, trains, etc.) offered. I also do my research and check other apps before booking, but in general I prefer Agoda over other apps because of the way the search & filters are set up, because I usually find the cheapest prices on Agoda, and because so many options/filters are customizable. Many times what appears to be the exact same room is shown at multiple price points, often because there are little options like courtyard view, full breakfast buffet, tub and shower, etc. which are not distinguished on Agoda but are known to the hotel. After booking it’s good to contact the hotel and inquire about those things, along with airport pickup and whatever else you may need. I have never had issues with Agoda, even when canceling my reservation. However, I have had occasional issues with other apps. That’s why I usually check Agoda first, check other places, and then come back to Agoda to book.

Don’t use Agoda for flight bookings!. I’ve used Agoda extensively for hotel reservations, but recently booked a flight through Agoda, a very bad decision. The flight is booked but they’ve provided all the wrong information to the Airline. Wrong name details, wrong phone number and wrong email address! And I can’t even add my Frequent flyer details! I’ve now got to try to sort it all out with the Airline, because Agoda’s online help is pathetic! They don’t even deserve 1 star but it’s the lowest I’m able to give for their terrible service!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. A hotel that stayed for a few nights didn’t return my deposit over a false claiming of damaging their bed linen (literally a 1 cm wide stain barely visible on the bedsheet) and I contacted Agoda by sending photos of the bed linen and screenshots of transactions along with the Whatsapp conversation with the property management. Agoda doesn’t want to do anything about it because of the property policy. How on earth a hotel never provides a housekeeper to clean the room and change the bed sheets during the entire stay and doesn’t return a deposit because of a very little stain on the bed sheet. For Agoda there is nothing wrong with this. Well, beware people, never book with them to save a headache during your holiday.

Misleading pricing and no customer support. After one great experience with Agoda I then have a terrible experience. The hotel was advertised at 67% off.... great. However the Agoda discount price was EXACTLY the same as the hotel websites standard room rates. So no discount from Agoda on the price even though they advertised it was discounted. Then I called up customer service through the Australia number in the app, and it went through to Expedia who said they don’t handle Agoda Enquiries and I’d have to call a number in the UK?!? My advice, go ahead and use this app, but DOUBLE CHECK with the hotel’s own website that Agoda have applied a true discount rather than inflating the price and then discounting that figure! And remember, there’s no local customer support in Australia.

Excellent. I try and use Agoda whenever I can and in fact end up using them 90% of the time. Their prices are competitive. Service over the phone when required impeccable. And refunds on cancellations deposited back within afew days. Never a problem . I’ve been using them for over 20 years of worldwide travel.

Card is charged but booking wasn’t approved and now cancelled. Absolutely furious with Agoda. I don’t understand why they would charge my card the full amount when the booking was not yet approved. And then I receive an email that the booking was cancelled due to a payment processing error? I don’t understand where the error is? I called customer service and she was absolutely useless. Does not have any useful information and kept repeating the same words that I’ve received in the email. Now, I have no accomodation booking and my money still has not been returned. I definitely do not recommend Agoda to anyone and it’s better to delete your current account right now.

Horror show. Despite booking and receiving a confirmation over 3 months in advance, my accomodation had been double booked as Agoda had used an outdated email address when contacting the property. Left with no place to stay and two young children I was organised alternative accomodation - where I ended up having to make up my own mattress and sleep on the floor in a lower standard accomodation over half an hour away from my original booking. Unfortunately, due to the situation and lack of notice I was in no position to refuse the offer. Agoda “generously” offered me $3 in Agoda money as compensation for my inconvenience. Ruined my weekend away, caused my daughters and myself a great deal of stress and did not even cover my additional travel costs not to mention the ridiculous accomodation. I won’t use this organisation again - and I suggest others don’t either!

Sneaky and duplicitous pricing. It’s one price when you’re logged in, another price though the App, a different price again if you clear your cookies cache and start again. Or if you through TripAdvisor you get lower prices than someone with a “platinum membership”. They offer “cash back rewards” but then make it difficult and arduous to claim the cash later. ALSO……… beware! don’t save your card details on their site, they’ve been hacked before, and card details and all personal information that’s stored with them is vulnerable to fraudulent use.

Easy and efficient. I have been using agoda for 15 years plus as I’m signed up and they have all my details when I want to book I just select and slide and pay it is the most simple efficient way that I can book any holiday day fully able to trust the system. Love it. Plus they usually have the best deals actually some amazing deals.

A big NOPE for me. 1. Navigating through the App both on phones and on Web app is not easy, not user friendly. 2. Error message at checkout was so unhelpful my card is not now locked!!! I wanted to book two rooms of the same type, at the same hotel, during almost the same period. I was able to add 2 rooms in my cart. At checkout I kept getting this error message saying one of the items didn’t go through. I checked my cart again to see the availability of the two rooms, and they seemed fine. After a few attempts, turned out they had only one available room left but somehow I was able to add 2 to my cart. I figured that out only after I decided to make 2 sequentially different purchases/bookings instead. And now my card is locked and I have to wait for my $1400+ to bounce back… Users shouldn’t be able to add more of unavailable rooms, and payment shouldn’t be processed before double checking the rooms’ availability. The status of those checkouts should be Failed, not Cancelled. And error message needs to be more helpful. Took about a week for all my money to bounce back into my account.

Worst experience ever. Booked an expensive hotel with them. I received a cancellation notice via email. This prompted me to book the same hotel through a different service. I found out that I am double booked in the said hotel. Their customer support informed me that it might have been a system glitch/error but they couldn’t cancel or refund the reservation. I called the hotel and they are ready to cancel since I am double booked with them. Agoda is still refusing to refund me. I just filed a formal complaint against them with the Department of Trade and Industry. I filed a dispute on the charge with my credit card company. The stress and amount of time I wasted trying to resolve this is staggering. Very traumatic experience. Be warned.

It could have been 5 stars but. It used to be really good booking site until I had several booking problems. I told them my flight was late afternoon so I might be late for check in. Arrived at the hotel and got told the room I booked wasn’t available At 7pm we were tired and wanted to sleep but no I had to fight with Agoda agent in BKK over the phone to get the room that was paid for and finally got the room just before 9 pm. Oh don’t get me started with the last stay at Patong. Ps. Agoda agent in BKK was so rude....very rude

Agoda could be better. Difficult to use this app. It keeps taking you to different pages you did not want. I am trying to book a transit hotel and there is no way to enter arrival and departure time. I’ve only registered for this app because it offered the best price but the whole process has been so slow and unsatisfactory that I will not be using it again. I am not even certain whether any confirmation of my booking has been e mailed to me and am going to have to contact the hotel myself. So inefficient!

Best Accom App. Every time I need to book accommodation I head to Agoda first as they list the best rates at some of the best properties every time. Nine times out of ten I find what I am looking for at the right price. They also give you the option to pay now or later or even at the property. Very user friendly.

BEWARE: Make sure to screenshot ALL steps before confirming booking. 1) Twice now, I have booked for accomodation with breakfast. with the IPad/Mobile app and I get the confirmation WITHOUT BREAKFAST. 2) The discounts they sent me by email have not been not applied to my bookings or the promotions that are in my account 3j The interface just jumps straight without confirmation especially if you have a saved card. So there is no time to review your booking.. 4) Advertised or listed discounts or options are inconsistent with the final booking. I have been a long standing Agoda customer, and have been very happy in the past. Within the past few months,these apps are now giving me grief. They seem to have been built like a scam with huge inconsistencies. Be aware It’s may be hard to cancel because the booking may have a no refund policy. Very very disappointed recently. Customer Service will have no clue on what happened in the app. If you do book through these apps, make sure to take screenshots, BUT still this will NOT guarantee you a solution. I have provided screenshots in the past and customer service wipes their hands off any possible glitches. I am now writing this review after the second 'glitch '. It looks like the other negative reviews are consistent to my recent experiences.

Trashy support. I realized one day after booking the dates were incorrect as I had tapped on a previous booking to locate the hotel. Confusing interface to no end. Their chatbot prompts for reservation and refuses to actually escalate the issue. I understand being strict on no-cancellation policy but there would be an allowance when they’re confusing interface causes the issue and you notice just a day later. I would have booked with a refundable option but no such option is present on short notice bookings. Since they offer no reasonable support, I’ll be moving my business to the service beginning with E which does reasonable refunds, reputedly. Thanks for the fish Agoda, goodbye.

Always happy. Been using agoda for years and found the reliability of the site and the contact centre fantastic. Even during covid lockdowns they went out of their way to make sure we got our money back on properties we had chosen the “non cancellation” option. I’ve just used them to book flights for the first time this week and it was so much easier than trying to navigate a foreign airline site.

You just ruined two special needs children’s Christmas. How dare you simply cancel accomodation because Amex suspected fraud on the card we submitted, as you routed the payment through Singapore. In the meantime my husband confirmed it wasn’t a fraudulent transaction and you went a head and cancelled the booking without waiting for AMEX to clarify. You sent an email asking for payment which couldn’t be done as Amex themselves were processing it and there is no way to speak to a consultant in person to discuss the issue. I realise now that it was Agoda attempting to call from Singapore - a call I couldn’t take but no voice mail was left. You have no idea of the situation you have put us in. There is no accomodation left in the entire township we were suppose to have Xmas in and one that my autistic children can cope with. Just terrible!!

Unreliable scammers and fraud, worst service. Had the most horrific service experience of my life. I book a return ticket from Gimpo-Jeju and Jeju-Gimpo through agoda cost me around AUD152. Flight got cancelled for next two days without single notice, when it was crucial for me to reach my destination on the day i had booked my original flight. So I had very frustrating, difficult and long conversation with agoda customer service agent as they were not willing to find alternative flight for me. After 4 long and frustrating hours of multiple phone holdings, passing calls to multiple agents, they finally told me to buy a next airline flight by myself (with the money from my pocket) and send them the RECEIPT of the flight and they will pay for the flight as a compensation (which rightfully I deserve). I spent additional AUD150 for the flight and send them email with receipt however they are now acting opposite to their words and saying they never promised me to pay and only promised to pay me $55(which is still processing, I haven’t actually received yet). They doused me, basically scammed me. Huge scammers. Nobody deserves such horrible service by spending their money.

Great staff and comfy room. This new hotel is unassuming and non pretentious with all the basics covered. The staff on level one were welcoming and professional and the room, while smallish has everything you need. The bed is comfortable and the little lounge perfect. One thing to remember is that service is opt in so if you want your room cleaned out the sign out on your door handle! I learned that the hard way

This a a scam project!!! Be vigilant while booking!!!!. It may works well if you are vigilant. I booked a family room for 2 adult and 2 infants, upon arrival hotel, informed even though I booked family room and paid for it, only one member can live in that room. Contacted the Agoda fishy team and they asked me to send them documents/ prove/screenshot of the booking that I selected 4 member while booking that room (!!!!!) later realised they finely mixed up listing for different amount of people can accomodate with same room with high amount with different listing. Very clever and smart move to scam off few bucks from here and there. Won’t recommend it at all if you travelling far specially with kids. There a lot better options available.

Best app for booking hotels. The best and easiest app for booking hotels. Service is generally excellent but need to improve service in relation to major issues where customer can contact someone either via direct email or phone…if using online chat needs to be a real person

Its an irresponsible platform. One year ago I booked a flight from Bangalore to Australia. It was a 2 flight journey to denpsar and to Australia, the second flight was cancelled from the airlines so we cancelled the whole booking. The agent from Agoda only cancelled the second flight and not the first and applied for a refund but the airline people are now refusing to pay for 2 flights and the refund is stuck. Agoda is taking no responsibility and my money is stuck since a year. It’s frustrating to contact their call centre every month and still not getting any response from them. I requested for my Refund ticket number to check with the flight people and they refused to provide me the details. You guys are a joke and wouldn’t recommend you for anyone.

Agoda. I try to use Agoda whenever I book accomodation. They normally have the best deals and it’s so easy and convenient. Also you get points every time you use Agoda to book accomodation so my accomodation is normally cheaper again with my points I have. I would recommend it to anyone booking accomodation all over the world 😀

Highly recommend Agoda!. I’d highly recommend Agoda, the website is easy to use, can add hotels to a favourites list and it’s very easy to book! I’ve found Agoda to always offer the cheapest accomodation in comparison to other sites, they also offer extra specials and you can earn Agoda cash towards your next trip! By far, the best website I’ve used to book accomodation!

Not honouring prices on the site. Hi, I just booked a room at Cheviot Park Motor Lodge in New Zealand and when we got to reception were told there not using Agoda anymore and the price was in AUS (which is rubbish) and from the $168 price we booked on your site were charged $180 per night. $24 extra for the two nights. Luckily didn’t book for all four nights I was intending to book as the rooms are not worth $180 per night. Now taking my business elsewhere although mentioned we were thinking of staying longer. Really is out of principle. Thought I would let you know as there is no point of using you site if motels are not honouring the price. Cheers

From 5 star to 1 star!. I normally booked all my hotel accomodation with Agoda, in the past 10 years! However, my recent trip Thailand wasnt great, because the booking of serviced apartment through Agoda was in fact not a serviced apartment, but individual operator (same like Airbnb). All communication must be done through messages, don’t have receptionist!. It took me almost 2 hours to be inside my room (from arrived at accomodation). If i want a Airbnb type service, i would book from Airbnb website. I expect Hotel/Serviced Apartment service when i book from Agoda, with receptionist! So disappointed!

Please check before checking before booking. Please be aware of agoda!! We have booked hotel in Saigon with breakfast included which appeared on website however after I have paid and received the confirmation there was no breakfast was included.. This has incurred an additional amount of $125 for 1 adult and 2 children which is hefty! I have called Agoda customer service and also emailed them a few times and complain Also spoke to the hotel and no one seems to be able to do anything. This is extremely sad and disappointing!

Awful. Just awful. Would not recommend!!!. The WORST customer service. Completely misleading information. Led to believe I paid one price right up until I had paid and then got the email receipt through to find out I had been charged 700 dollars more. Then when I tried to rectify the issue, I had 3 customer service representatives hang up on me, one tell me it wasn’t her issue nothing to do with her and the best they could do was refund without cancellation fee. 3 days before I was meant to go on holiday. My recommendation would be DO NOT USE!!!

Great service. We are booking accommodation during a very stressful time to travel OS. Covid has been a game changer in terms of stress levels when self booking as we’ve done for many years. Our experience this evening has been fabulous and we even managed to book into a hotel we stayed at many years ago. A trip down memory lane for us both and we cannot wait 💕. We have used Agoda for almost all our OS bookings for the last 8 years with no issues. The online support is always so fabulous.

Don’t use this app. After using this app for 8 years, I’ve just had it withdraw a promo while I was making a non-refundable booking and increase my price by 20%! I’ve reached out to customer support to notify and ask them to fix this. They’ve insisted on me sending non-existent screenshots before they would fix the billing. When they’ve still refused, I’ve asked to walk away from their business - they’ve offered to get the hotel to cancel and give me an Agoda credit note, ignoring the fact I would need to rebook within hours for my travel. The app is unreliable and customer service is nonexistent. Don’t do it

Scammed on price. Booked a hotel in Japan at the end of March for mid June. Didn’t pay for their special “lock in price option”… locked in CC and when it was a few days before traveling to Japan the price jumped by $200 AU. After much trial and error finally got to customer service. What a disappointment. They first said they would credit me with Agoda dollars. Then explained it was due to a booking fee, when I questioned $200+ fee , it suddenly became due to currency changes. I gave them evidence that the price increase in both AU $ and JP ¥ (which both increased). Also provided evidence that the exchange rate had minimally changed from booking date to payment date. And was actually more favorable to me now and Nada. The price increased by no logical explanation they could give , it was just a scammed price increase 4 days before travelling to Japan and I was stuck with it as an automatic payment had been made and it was impossible to get my money back before travelling and it was enough to blow out my travel budget. The hotel fee was a few thousand dollars. Avoid them, use one of their competitors instead. There are many out there.

Dirty tricks. They definitely use your personal data to bump up the prices of their hotels on the app. I’m certain. If you go to google maps and find the hotel you want to book. Use the Agoda link that is on google maps and it will take you to Agoda mobile web page and the prices are almost definitely going to be different, most likely cheaper. I think they use your data to bump up the prices on the app if they know you’re in the area or have searched for the same dates before. Dirt tricks which I’m sure so many fall for. I have seen prices change after refreshing the app, 10 minutes later and things like this. Be aware

Ok but big problems. agoda is great to book hotels. But when things go wrong agoda is not great. There is no live chat to help resolve issues when hotels can’t honour your booking etc. not everyone can ring numbers when overseas plenty buy data only sim cards and use whatsapp etc. Also this app sends grubby notifications saying thing like “x place is 90% booked!” or “86% discount at place x” five minutes after you do a search. Click the notification but there is no discount to be seen. It’s clearly a scam to fomo you into making a purchase. Also after I book a property I still get these stupid notifications so the company does act very much like a scam.

Excellent Customer Service. Have been looking for hotels in Mactan, Cebu Philippines for January next year so I have been jumping back and forth onto different online booking sites including Agoda. So far, this site has never failed me in terms of delivering messages to its main service provider. I get responses very promptly which is what travellers really need to get organised in time for their trips. And amazingly a lot cheaper too compared to other sites. Thank you Agoda! 🤗👌🏻✨✨✨

Traveler with families beware.... After a trip to Japan we had to pay a whole lot more over $600AUD. - had to cancel our breakfast and swap to include kids at a loss. And I ended sleeping on the sofa - on reaffirming reservations directly prior to leaving, which another hotel had advised that there were children were not included even though we had them on the booking. This was a $500 plus bill we had to pay which would have been cheaper to go direct... - another is the current overcharge... if you choose to option with flexibility to change reservation please note you will be slugged more than stated with their exchange rate. Eg for one of the bookings this was over $35. Be sure to check your credit card bills! - customer service sends you in circles like with standard call centers! after the initial excitement of finding what I thought was a great deal and accommodation I was honestly disappointed when arriving back and felt I was suckered in big time. Buyer beware - You have been warned!

Agoda is the best ever company to deal with. When we have needed help, they have been there to help when we’ve needed emergency accommodation. They have been absolutely amazing I don’t bother with any other company any longer I am in my 60s. My husband he’s in his own 70s. Hidden Fees and dishonest behaviour. It is a pity that agoda has gone downhill and is opting for negative tricks to ensure a costumer book through their app. They don’t inform you of extra taxes applied to certain hotels for what i can only assume is to make the “total price” seem lower than it actually is. Never expected such a dishonest scam. It’s not even much money, but it is the fact that they clearly cannot be trusted. Either that or they are unaware of the taxes and fees aplicable to the properties they offer us. Not really sure which is worse, they being dishonest or inept. Pity, use to be happy booking with agoda but scamming companies, or inept ones, are to dangerous to trust with one’s travels. Travelers are often so vulnerable to scams, it is a pity to see we can’t even trust the travel agency of this dishonest app.

Easy to use & reliable App. I have used Agoda for over 10 years to book hotel rooms. Overall, I have been quite happy with the options listed on Agoda and I have often found competitive prices. It is an App I know I can rely on. The App is really easy to use, but it would best to provide a page free of further advertising where your confirmed bookings are listed. Although more recently I have found it difficult to receive support from Agoda for a couple of concerns I had, I found that, once I found the correct email address to access Customer support, the Agoda team provided with all the information and reassurance I needed. I recommend this App.

Good app… BUT be warned if you have a booking issue. They are fine to book with and I have had several successful bookings (like any travel company)… but be warned if you need help from customer service. They are absolutely horrendous. Most of the consultants are rude, don’t understand english, and barley want to help. I have booked several trips, but two had major issues at the hotel… Agoda didn’t want to know about it, and I spent several hours on phone and web chat… with no solution. Truly terrible customer service. AND… be warned they rebook through third party travel companies, so if there is an issue with your booking they don’t or can’t do anything to help other than make excuses and delay delay until you give up. Their website functionality is also limited, cannot create different favourite lists, and it automatically categorises by country which is troublesome when booking different trips. Again… Agoda didn’t want any feedback to improve customer experience. Useless!!

Was good, but will no longer use. Previously had booked a lot of accomodation via Agoda using pay at hotel. But this year that option seems to be less and less available. Last trip in July and August, I ended up cancelling all but one booking and booked through an alternative platform as Agoda have an awful exchange rate. Negates any benefit of using them or their reward programs. As other users mentioned, the % off promotions are a scam and doesn’t seem to be applied at check out. The main reason I’ve left this review is the poor customer service when raising the exchange rate issue. Happy to report that the rest of my bookings with another platform didn’t change in price, so would rather have that certainty than the illusion of saving some money. Account deleted and never will use again.

I advise you to go straight to hotel websites and schedule your stays.

Agoda is my preferred choice. I’ve used Agoda for a while now and still love how easy and quick it is to use. I have needed to contact Customer Service today to avail unfortunately because there is a credit card issue I want sorted out that has come up before.

Never is the real price till you pay. Bought a ticket recently, the price I saw on the pay now was completely different to what I saw on my credit card the price just jumped up $166 , thinking I’d only pay about $300 return flight for two from Sydney to Launceston Tasmania, instead of $300 now its $466 and even more dear then then jet star site which had it for $450. Big surprise as I thought I was getting a very good deal. Not booking again ever as it’s a by misleading. Sure would be nice if Agoda would update their prices and not lure us in like this . Disappointed

Worst travel site ever. I made a booking and their app stuffed it up. I tried contacting their customer service for help and they flat out refused. After dozens of emails of none of the staff actually reading my messages, just constantly copy pasting the same responses over and over and staff refusing to do anything to help. I’d had enough and wanted to delete my account and never use Agoda again, they even refused to let me do that or help me update the details on my account. It’s not worth getting involved with them. I got my hotel details within two messages from the actual hotel, and nothing from these people after a few dozen emails. They’re hopeless and staff can’t do their jobs.

Great Service. I try and use Agoda when ever I need accommodation no matter what country I’m traveling to. Always lots of information on the accommodation advertised and usually more than 1 option for each motel which is great because it gives you flexibility to change your booking if required. On 2 occasions now for reasons beyond my control ( ie: death in family and Tigerair cancelling all flights to Bail) Agoda has even gone the extra mile for me and got full refunds on accommodation that was no cancellation/refund or changes to travel dates. Just had to provide documentation verifying why I needed to cancel accommodation and within hours the money had been fully refunded. Big thumbs up to Agoda I’m 1 very happy customer.

Rubbish company. Their system is out of sync, every agent works in his own realm. Reaching an agent can only be through calling. They live in the 90s still. I received a warning about my payment were not successful and on the same day I called in and the agent were able to successfully charge my credit card, two days later I received a cancellation for my room. Good app but beware their T&C’s as we were charged a terrible exchange rate. The app works great but we were charged $300 Canadian dollars more than the exchange rate for the day of the transaction. When I called to asked why they used an exchange rate higher than what is posted for that days transaction, they told me to read the terms and conditions. I feel these hidden fees are not proper and will not be using Agoda again.

Dishonest cancellation policy. I booked a room because I saw that I would not be charged and could cancel before a certain time. I canceled the room after about 2 minutes and the. I saw that they do not refund you directly, and I could be waiting for up to 10 business days for my money back. This is not right. I will not be using agoda again and I will be telling g everyone I see not to use it either

The app shows super prices but when you try booking it cannot book and advise to a higher price. The prices are always super low and apeeling. But at payment booking time, it often shows a problem, then it becomes not available anymore, the you go again in, you find the exact same and when you book it shows higher price obviously. Since you are interrested to go, the price could be higher for agoda’s profits. Aside from that, it is a well done app.

Dropped Apple wallet support. The hotels booked did not have Apple wallet slips. Good prices though.

Cannot login. “Technical issues” create an account I can’t log in to. App has no value outside supposed additional discounts. I would like to remove my account & user details but don’t know how to go about that. Apps like this really make me hate being online.

Super buggy app. Be careful if you have to edit your booking of a hotel in a different time zone. They might end up changing to a wrong date because of the time zone difference. Then you have to go through all the hassles to contact the customer service, PLUS you need to pay for a fee for that edit.

It’s great till it’s not. This has been really good alternative to hotel.com and I used it for a many years. But then I had one experience where I lost a lot of money due to some cancellations flaws of their system. It’s quite unfair. I’d be very careful with this platform because if something goes wrong, you will lose money and they will not do anything about it.

Easy to use. I have been using Agoda for a long time. Just use their mobile app for a reservation now. Works perfectly. Will definitely use the app again. BRW, their customer service is excellent. I emailed them to resolve an issue and received the best support I ever had.

Great app. The app works perfectly. I use it all the time. The only reason why I don’t give a 5-star review is because I also have to use the website on my computer to add certain filters like a bathtub in the room. Not all of the same filters are available on the app. It’s convenient to use the app, but it seems unnecessary to remove certain features that are available on the website.

Scam Avoid at all cost. Avoid booking with Agoda. Booked a hotel with Agoda and ended up with the hotel unable to find my reservation. Unable to contact any Agoda customer service ended up wasting 3 hours and have to pay for the night again. So the second time book with them I contact the hotel to confirm the reservation before I go and yet the same problem happened again. The hotel is unable to find my reservation. Customer service is useless not helpful. Customer service took 6 hours to help me with my problems. And only offer to cancel my reservation, ended up paying extra 1000$ on hotel. Terrible experience and if you still going to use it, good luck to you!

Worst customer service ever. We booked 4 different hotels through Agoda during my recent trip. They canceled our last booking day before we arrived at the destination. When contacted customer service they just paste the canned response without any real help. We had to then book through Expedia and pay 3 times the price as other hotel was sold out and last minute prices were much higher. I would say if use Agoda then be ready for headaches and expect no customer service. One of the worst booking app ever.

Very misleading. The words they use often mislead you as to what you are getting. Continuously putting pressure to “go fast”. They say “you just missed it” when everything has been booked for days and I have checked with some hotels that Agoda advertises as “no more rooms available” and they do not even have a contract to rent rooms there. This company exhibits the lowest standard of honesty in the business. I always try to book elsewhere if possible.

Make sure to screenshot their offers!!!. Even if the site offers discounts, they don’t automatically apply at checkout. spent over an hour on tech-support getting Agoda to apply a 10% new customer discount and a second discount that was offered online for Wednesday bookings. They asked for screenshots to prove their own offers. They also suggested I was not a first time customer, even though I was, each message took so long to receive there was one time I was waiting for them for over 20 minutes to get back to me. I still do not know if they’ll honour their own discounts.

Grateful for the deal…. While I always love saving $$ where I can, the process to book is a bit cumbersome… I downloaded the app as suggested (to make transaction “smoother,” yet notified I’d need to go to the Agoda website to sign in in order to book… Counter-intuitive process had me going in circles, back to the app, then to my email … Still don’t understand where my $66 hold fee to begin the “frozen price” process went too? The price never changed on my checking over the last 5 days being “frozen”.

No One To Talk To About Problems. Agoda’s app is all automated. It’s not possible to chat with a real agent with simple things like problems with their app. For example, when booking a hotel, there is a form that asks “special requests”. When you try to type into this box, the screen shifts down and it’s impossible to see what you’re typing. This is really annoying and should have been fixed years ago. It’s still stuck. Please fix! Sorry had to write this complaint in reviews. There’s no other place to do it on their all automated app.

RIP off and RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Where do I even start? I booked two nights at the same hotel, different transactions but somehow one of the nights was non refundable, couldn’t change anything on the booking etc. I looked at many other sites for cheaper rates and I found one. I tried to find their “best price claim” form, it was NO WHERE on their site. I called customer service, they sent me a dead link. I called back, they said to just send an email. I didn’t hear a response back so I called AGAIN. They were EXTREMELY RUDE and HUNG UP ON ME. Then sent me an email after saying my claim wasn’t “satisfactory “ and denied the price adjustment. I tried to call back and they PURPOSELY IGNORED MY CALLS. Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!

Last minute changes. I made a hotel reservation two days before going to Korea from China. The day before we went, they cancelled our reservation for the hotel. They emailed us saying that they would cancel our reservation at 9:00 pm if we didn’t give in two of our documents. I didn’t check my email until 8:30 pm, and I already received an email saying my hotel reservation was cancelled. I called them, and they said they couldn’t do anything at all whatsoever. I asked if they could help me find another hotel, they said that it wasn’t their job to find one for us. I also asked to speak to the manager, but the lady on the phone Ms. Lu kept rejecting our request to speak to the manager.

Downhill. I have used Agoda exclusively for years. My last two experiences have been horrendous. The first I traveled for work and Agoda said I should get the bill from the hotel and the hotel said Agoda was responsible. Agoda did nothing to assist and I was not reimbursed by my company 600+ usd. The second time I made a mistake and booked the wrong dates, five seconds after realizing I had booked one day off I contacted Agoda to help rectify. They spent 24 hours and came back with a form just saying non refundable. I had to get an additional night at the same hotel and the rates there were significantly cheaper. Very disappointed in service and lack of commitment to long term clients.

Bloated app and website. Let me clarify: Agoda’s services, including its customer service, are excellent. My complaint is the user interface of the app and even the website. Both the app and website are slow to load on the phone screen. Product management and design should revamp the UI to allow for a more streamlined user experience. Also, the search options should allow the user to exclude properties that are unavailable. What’s the point of showing users that they just missed a hot property for the given dates?! You want to advertise those properties? There are better ways to accomplish that than annoying your users with bloated app and website!

Wasted time and energy. I’ve used Agoda for years, and finally reached my limit after several bad experiences, so I feel a need to document the most recent problems. 1. It is impossible to update your contact information in the app, so I’ve had to create a new account more than once and lose all the credit earned. Please allow profile information (email, phone, etc.) updates via the app so I can do this myself rather than having to hold 30 minutes, on international long distance, for an agent. 2. I booked a hotel 24-hours ago. Agoda “failed to process the booking due to a technical issue.” They did not notify me of any issue, when I finally reached the hotel, there was no reservation. So I had to call Agoda (again, international long distance), to be put on hold for 30 minutes, to be given the run around and told I would have to make a new booking. This resulted in both a higher price and a lower-quality room than my initial booking. Please get your act together Agoda. I just want an easy, reliable, hotel booking app.

Hotels vanished. Checking different hotels in a location, then trying to go back and look at some hotels that I had previewed earlier and they no longer showed within the spectrum. Had to leave Agoda website for a few minutes then go back and the ones I wanted to review again were back. Overall Agoda is a great booking site for hotels and can usually get the best prices over other sites.

Awesome Experience with this company. Previously had made a reservation but due to Philippine Airlines multiple flight cancellations I never made it. I called it in and they worked with the hotel and I got a refund. Now I’m booking the same hotel and the app is very user friendly. I just hope this time, no more cancellations. My wife used this company before and was very pleased with the discounts they provide. Keep up the good work staff. Very helpful.

SCAM. SCAM ALERT I arrived at my hotel, having flown across country to NYC from California, having booked the room two months earlier via Agoda and prepaid a month earlier for the hotel room via Agoda, and the hotel had no room for me. The hotel told me to call Agoda for a refund, but Agoda has been giving me the runaround. First they told me to get the refund directly from the hotel. Now Agoda wants a document that “proves” the hotel did not honor my booking before they will refund me. What document exactly would that be? I had no hotel room and was left to sleep on a lobby couch with my luggage. They’ll take your money, but there’s no guarantee you’ll actually get a room. And if you don’t get a room, forget about a refund.

App technical failure costing me a fortune. Thought I cancelled a hotel reservation only to find out too late that it never cancelled and I had to pay in full. Ironically, the reason I cancelled is because Agoda kept sending me emails about better fares at hotels in my destination city. This led me to book a cheaper hotel and then cancel the first one — or at least I thought I did. Aside from the technical failure, In the age of big data and companies collecting every bit of personal information about us, Why would the app allow me to make two identical reservations at two different hotels?? Irresponsible and exploitative. I travel very frequently and only recently learned about Agoda and am deleting it now. Beware!!

Request Copies Of Credit Card And Picture ID TO Be Scanned. I used Agoda for the first time last night to book a few rooms as a couples weekend get away during the pandemic. Received email confirmation that my rooms were booked and paid for. At 419 this morning I receive another email requesting a copy of my credit card and drivers license scanned to Agoda. I work in the financial industry and this sent off serious red flags! When I didn’t send the requested information which by the way I was initially instructed to provide the same information to the hotel at check in.... Agoda cancelled my rooms. Luckily I called the hotel and my rooms were reinstated. I will never use this application again for any of my traveling purposes.

My go-to for booking. Easy to use. I’ve only had a couple issues and customer service help immediately. The issues were minor. One was when I went to check in, they saw I was a foreigner and immediately canceled by booking. This was in the beginning of covid. Agoda handled it immediately. Not only is it easy to book a room but you can also read reviews, look at maps, and see things that are nearby.

Not reliable for last minute bookings. I wanted to love the Agoda website and app, but I had a very frustrating experience with customer service and making the booking. I never write reviews, but this time I had to write about my experience. Attempted to book three hotel stays over a five day period while traveling through Southeast Asia. The first hotel was booked two days out, the second hotel booked three days out. Received an email indicating that my payment needed to be verified prior to confirming the booking. Saw the “test” amount taken before the hotel stay, but the bookings were never processed. Pretty frustrating in a foreign country where you don’t speak the language. Will not be booking with this app again.

Absolutely horrible. Customer service is absolutely horrible !!! We booked a crappy room.. and had to purchase another room at a different hotel. It took 15 phone calls to Agoda to get our money back. And was told it would take 14 business days to be placed back on our debit card. The first hotel that was crappy was very kind about the situation and tried helping us in getting our money back. But Agoda was awful to deal with. We had to submit emails, make -5 different phone calls and still waiting for a refund. No one speaks English.. so frustrating.. hoping in 14 days we actually do get our money back.. steer clear of Agoda!!!!!

Too many bugs in app. The application is becoming really bad and full of bugs, I have lost all the promotion codes I had on my account for no reason and I made this last booking without any discount I always keep getting a message saying that the application has a technical problem, prices also suddenly rise up too much in minutes, other applications are becoming more user-friendly and cheaper. I also wanted to insert a picture of the error but your feedback page is also not allowing me to insert any picture

Agoda is the best and greatest go to travel tool. I was searching for a family hotel near Disneyland Anaheim California. I searched other travel websites and even the major hotel websites but could not find a good price for a hotel. Decided to use a go to after not using it for such a long time and found a number of hotels at great prices immediately I was booked in five minutes and I’m happy and will be arriving to California Disneyland sometime before the new year thank you so much Agoda! You’re the best

Beware of this SCAM. This app entices you with flash coupons that promise to give you extra discounts but when you apply them it changes the dates of your search. It then gives you a “Book Now” button to make it easy to book. The scam is that then you don’t have a final chance to review the deal so you end up with a booking on the wrong date that you can’t cancel or modify. I tried calling customer service immediately but they told me that they would get back to me with a response within 24 to 48 hours. The response came back 72 hours later telling me that unfortunately they could not cancel or change anything so I lost $180. Beware of this scam!!!!

Advanced trip planning. I’ve booked 3 hotels for the entirety of my 3-week trip to the Philippines with Agoda. I am pleased with the returned hotel selection. The property descriptions and photos helped me in making informed decisions. The reservation and cancellation options are clearly presented and payment provides detailed breakdown of application of promo codes, rewards and points. I’ve used Agoda for over 10 years and appreciate their continuous improvements!

Misrepresented property. When searching for a Miami Airport hotel for an overnight layover , I listed “airport shuttle” as one of my requirements. Extended Suites America- Blue Lagoon was one of the resulting hotels. The price was reasonable. The Blue Lagoon was a nice area. I chose it. You cannot imagine my surprise when I arrived in the Hotel Shuttle pick-up area at the Miami airport, and called the hotel to let them know to contact the shuttle driver with my location - only to be told “This property doesn’t have a shuttle.” I had to take a taxi at a charge of $23. I will have to do the same to get back to the airport tomorrow. If that wasn’t bad enough, the property HAS NO ELEVATOR. I had to walk up two flights of stairs carrying a heavy suitcase- twice! There’s was no one to help! Agoda clearly has not vetted this property properly and my level of disappointment in the company is indescribable. Had I known that I was going to have to pay an additional $46 just to get to/from the property- or that it had no elevator- I would never have considered the place! Shame on you, Agoda!

Website Issues. I had to submit my request for a reservation several times. I was asked what country/region. I entered United States. It was not recognized. Really? Last time I tried to use your website, I was in the Philippines, I wanted to make a reservation in Mexico. Your website would not allow me to use US dollars. Your website issues cost me higher prices due to later reservations. I really do not appreciate that at all. Especially since I am a platinum member.

Scam. They are scammers sitting there collecting people’s money!!! I made reservation and call the hotel to confirm after three days. The hotel told me that they canceled two days ago. When i contacted agoda they said the reservation is cancelled they are making up the stories, what I am guessing is they sold my reservation to someone else. They said they are going to refund my money. After he hang up the phone, he send me emails saying that zero refund (very much they stole my money). I paid for two person they took my money saying that cancellation fee for something that I didn’t cancelled!! They cancelled and take my money saying that cancellation fee interesting!!! Never recommend to anybody

FRAUD app and Company. Dont danlow the ap and dont open accounts in Agoda. App is terrible and unfriendly to use. One stat is to much for such app. I listed my property and had real problems since the first booking. The app didn’t notified me for the reservation, even through i had chooses to be booked only by request and not instant booking. I compensated in cash those customer with the idea that for sure I will get paid back form Agoda. But Agoda didn’t paid me back even through have already past 2 months. Customer Suportservice is awful 🥵. They lied and make me wait for two months, and still didn’t got a solution. Now that they don’t have other lies to say, the online customer service its always “outside the operation hours” probably must have blocked the service for my IP 🥵🥵.

Horrible customer service. If I could give zero stars I would. The web site is confusing and when I inadvertently click a button when I was looking for a hotel 10 days in the future I was unable to cancel the reservation. I was immediately billed, even though the web site indicated I would be billed when I arrived at the hotel. I contacted customer service immediately and after several e-mails was assured my card would be credited. Two months later I am still being given the runaround. After contacting my credit card company I was initially given the credit, however, the hotel then told them they were never contacted about a refund and the charge stands even though agoda cancelled the reservation. I am still being charged.

Problem logging in. I tried many times to login to the app without success. It Kept on telling me there is a technical problem and ask me to try again later. Good thing is, it lets me continue on to book my room by entering my email address, name, and credit card number. After that, I logged in to my account using a browser and saw the new booking in my account. The app was able to associate the booking with my account by matching my email address. I have no issues with reentering my personal information, just lots of frustration trying to login.

Terrible App and Terrible Customer Service. Agoda overbooked us in a hotel and gave us no notice. An email 2 hours before check in was the only notice and we were coming from out of state. Customer service was not helpful at all and their idea of “Compensation” was $14 in Agoda Cash. Not only is this insulting because $14 won’t do anything when talking about booking a hotel but also because we had to book a last minute hotel in a busy area that cost us almost $70 more for the night. Not to mention I don’t trust the app enough to book through them again so the “compensation” will never be used. Overall terrible experience and would not recommend using this site to book anything.

No support. What’s great about this app is the prices. But don’t expect anything else. The customer support is terrible. When they say 24/7 support, what they mean is a bot that loops you around indefinitely. I had to cancel a reservation due to the recent Covid surge in London, and there was simply no support at all. It was basically a bot saying: “you can cancel!” But no refund. Cool. Thanks for that. Helpful. I could also just not go. Then messaged the hotel through the app and got conflicting messages, and oh by the way, my booking is still confirmed. Congratulations!! Ended up just emailing the hotel directly to hopefully get a better outcome, but Agoda just frustrated the process and the communication and did nothing helpful.

Agoda lists not yet open hotels. Left stranded in Oaklnd, CA when we arrived at the hotel to see that they are not opened for operations yet(as in brand new hotel not yet open) although we book 3+ months in advance. Left on the streets for 2+ hours as we tried contacting agoda and they tried looking for a new place for us. They never did find us another place and only sent us 1 email recommending us another place which isnt even in the same location and the one we book when other hotels in the area do have rooms. We know this as we talked to the front desk of those hotel and called agoda to book us a place in the same area. In the end, we were stranded by the streets of oakland until 8pm and all they can do is refund original hotel and still looking for another place for us. I had to book the new hotel myself as it was getting late. Contacted support after that only to be ghosted about compensation. Want a reliable place to book your travel? Well, USE ANY OTHER APP APART FROM AGODA.

Problems that Application all the sudden does not function properly. I always used Agoda for my booking. I checked if an update is required, but there was nothing. All the sudden all the prices went down on the search engine, but when I come to book a room it flips all the prices and makes them 1000 SAR higher when I come to book a hotel room. All the sudden settings change on your App! I received discount coupons that don’t even work when I apply them. I hope things get fixed very soon. I’ve always relied on your App, but never expected such glitches!!

Horrible website, NO customer service. Don’t book with these people if you can at all avoid it. We booked a room for 5 nights then several weeks later tried to change it to just 3 nights. Couldn’t do it. Their web site didn’t allow any change other than total cancellation. Their phone number for customer service put me in a phone tree machine that alway ended up disconnecting me, four different times! Called the actual hotel, they were great, a real person. But she wasn’t allowed by the Agoda machine to make my simple change. My only option was to cancel my reservation altogether, which I did. Save yourself the trouble and don’t even deal with these people.

Promotions. You guys keep changing the promotions and his crazy I like the cheaper prices and you haven’t opened them open up open up and up and up and up and up and I don’t know why you keep doing it why can’t you lowercase a month understand if you wanna do every once in a while, which ever is deadly doing it instead of lower now I know it’s summertime or whatever but come on man Help is a family out. They are poor and homeless and need these hotels because I have a kid not to sleep in on any cheap prices

Never again!. I will never book here in agoda! Just wasted my money, i asked them to at least change my booking date because my flight was cancelled. They don’t care they just told me that they didn’t get response yet from the hotel which i already called them and told me that its up to agoda because they didn’t get the money yet. I called the hotel they are ok to change the date but said it depends with agoda. It’s better guys to book directly to the hotel not in this site. They just take ur money and just put the blame to the hotel. I already send my documents to show them that my flight was changed but nothing happened, they never care! Worst worst worst ever! U don’t even deserve to get one star! 😡😡😡

Use the website; App is buggy, useless and full of scams. Better yet: Avoid Agoda altogether.. Is the app from the same company who runs the website? Login problems, tons of hidden fees, rates in the app are different from the rates on the website, false “discounts” which only bring artificially inflated prices down to actual values (“You saved $9,999! Such joy!!”), with useless tiers like “VIP” which do nothing, spam in email, hotels which take your money but provide service which is different than what is advertised, and worst of all, Agoda tries their hardest to prevent you from contacting human representatives for customer support. The Agoda app is a borderline scam and fraud operation, and the website isn’t much better.

Price scam. I booked my room for 3 adults and I got to the hotel they said you booked for one adult even though I had a screen shot where it says 3 adults so I had to pay double the price for that room than the actual price at the spot just because I booked through them and they also third party agents if any mistake good luck contacting three partners on your booking and there agent absolutely not helpful they couldn’t add my parents to the booking or update my booking even though I was planning to pay any different and you can’t cancel if you want to cancel you have to pay 90% of the booking price your stuck I will never use this app to my vacation again because I was so embarrassed at the front desk.

Very helpful and easy to use!. This app has saved me hundreds of dollars. I use this app for EVERY hotel stay I need to book, they’ve made a truly helpful app that’s simple and straight to the point. I love that you can gain Agoda bucks to put towards another stay as well as the coupons you receive. So, it’s an all around great app and I recommend it to all my friends, family, and fellow travelers to help them save a couple bucks!

Awful Customer Service!!!. I booked a hotel room for 7 days and even paid in advance through the Agoda App. I had problems with checking in at the hotel and tried calling Agoda twice and both times the call was disconnected. Short after I received an email apologizing about the bad connection. I tried reaching customer service again two days later with no success. I’ve been having problems with my stay at the hotel since day 1 and I’ve tried to reach Agoda Customer Service to tell them what’s going to see in what form they can assist me but I have not been be able to speak to no one at Agoda! I’m major major problems with the hotel.

Second yr w Agoda in Vietnam. Second year in Vietnam, second year using Agoda. Very easy to navigate for hotels availability and price. Hotel pics on Agoda really help with my decision. Easy to book/reserve as well. Minor drawback, it only includes hotels which are registered with Agoda, I assume for a fee. So the area where I stay, only 2/3 or 1/2 of the local hotels are listed, probably because not all hotels willing to pay the fee. But if you know what hotel you want, and you want Agoda one stop shop reservation, you can enter the hotel name on Agoda to search and reserve.

Used to be my favorite hotel app. Used to be my favorite hotel app until on time I reserved a hotel $2900 value not noticing it was non refundable. As soon as I noticed about 5 minutes later I cancelled the reservation. They still charged my credit card. I called the hotel and they sad that had nothing to do with this and they are not getting a penny. I am still disputing this ridiculous transaction and will stop booking threw Agoda because of it. Very disappointed. I have been a loyal costumer with them booking for tour groups for few years. It’s ridiculous for them to charge someone $2900 for a few minutes of booking error which was not even clear or I would have never booked it.

Good hotel booking but TERRIBLE flight reservations. I have been using this app over 4 years now.. mainly for hotel and accommodation booking and it was alright. Not really much problems with that. HOWEVER flight booking system has got to IMPROVE!!!! I made a one way flight in mid-late August and it took longer than 2 days to send me a confirmation of the flight booking and that did not include any e-tickets.. So, I had to call the airline and get a e-ticket link sent to me… and hey if that way all I won’t be here complaining.. When I got to the airport on the day of departure, the ticketing crew said they could not find my e-ticket number. They kept asking if I made a cancellation and made a new booking. I said ‘no’ and they kept checking.. Turns out that AGODA did cancel my booking after sending me a confirmation email and re-booked the flight for only god knows why. And decided NOT to TELL ME THE NEW BOOKING NUMBER. Thanks to them, I almost missed my flight. I will NEVER use the FLIGHT BOOKING via AGODA. Thanks :)

Not so good. The app is annoying. Regularly showing „sorry we have encountered a technical problem. Please try again“. Like just now when I was trying to book a room in Japan. The prompt basically means that they cannot deliver on their promises to sell the room under consideration. Despite their serious „we are holding your price!“. They do neither hold the room nor the price. As an excuse they invent some technical problem.

App prices are higher than Kayak.. I had to update my review after my latest customer service issues. Two times have I had to deal with their customer service, and both times was it terrible. The first time they lied about what taxes were included in the booking, the second time they cancelled my booking on me when the hotel offered to book my at a partner property. They said they would work with the hotel, but instead they just cancelled on my and totally screwed me. Their customer service is the absolute worst. I also discovered that using the app directly has higher prices, even with coupons, than being redirected to their website from Kayak or Tripadvisor.

Predatory - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!. I booked a hotel reservation in the app. Their calendar has Monday as the farthest left day. Typically, Sunday is the farthest left day on American calendars. Anyways, I booked the wrong day for my hotel. After finalizing the reservation I noticed my mistake and tried canceling. The website said I was not able to cancel. I called Support. I was told the same thing. Basically they jacked me for $200 over a simple user error. support was wildly unhelpful and quite clearly outsourced to India. Every travel service I have ever used in my entire life has offered a 24 hour window for cancellations and date changes, because mistakes happen. Agoda seems to think it is good business practice to steal their customers money. DO NOT USE THIS CRIMINAL APP!!!!!!

Misleading. The prices offered by Agoda are often misleading. For example, I bought a hotel room today which was listed at 1081 baht per night I plan to stay three nights so you would expect to pay about 3,240 baht. But when I clicked through to purchase, the total price was over 4000 baht. While this price was said to include taxes, there was no breakdown of what those taxes were, and why were they indicated on the front end? In short, don’t expect to pay the price listed on the Agoda website. You will invariably pay more.

So far so good😬. I’ve only booked once through this app, and have 2 more bookings coming up with the book now pay later option! I’m hoping 🙏🏼🤞🏼 all is well with my 2 bookings coming up cuz if not I’m screwed. After reading all the bad comments I hope I don’t have to change my rating for this app. The option to book now pay later is awesome. But we will see when the time comes to pay for the bookings.

DON’T USE. They scam using cheap dirty motels they don’t check the the authenticity of the places they listed they are a 3rd party company so when you book thru them and something happens they have to talk to another company to talk to the hotel. I paid 143 to stay somewhere blood used tampons black mold in the room(even sent pics) ended up sleeping in my car for the 2 nights and now I’m getting the runaround from not only Agoda but the booking partner which they won’t disclose to you for a refund they only offered me 42 dollars worth of credits which isn’t nowhere near enough to book one night yet alone 2. DO NOT USE THIS SITE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF CURRENTLY IN CONTACT WITH ALL MAJOR NEWS NETWORKS TO EXPOSE THEM FOR THE FRAUDS THEY REALLY ARE

Bait and Switch!. I searched for a room for 2 adults and 2 children, was shown options, booked one and was warned it would be non-refundable once booked. Since I entered 2 adults and 2 children I thought it would be fine. A week later I received confirmation from the hotel that the reservation was only for 2 adults and no children. The hotel blamed Agoda for the error. I tried reaching Agoda and instead of helping in any way, they took it upon themselves to officially re-book us in the same hotel with only 2 adults and zero children. Tried calling Agoda Support and they either disconnect you or keep you on hold forever. Agoda has just lost us over $400. UPDATE After finally getting someone on the phone who promised to take care of this and either fix the reservation or refund, I felt a little better about them. They promised to stay on it until the issue was resolved. But they didn’t follow through and never contacted me again. Fortunately the hotel understood the pain Agoda can give and fixed it on their end, no help from Agoda.

The WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I only have a single experience with this site, but it went horrible. I tried to book a hotel for my stay in Korea, but it was actually motel (this website provided a false information) and COSTED 2.4x MORE than what the actual motel costed!!! The same room for the motel costs around $40, but this website took me $90. I mean.. what? I understand this type of website takes some handling fees but 2.4 times more?!? That’s ridiculous. I was so mad and wanted to cancel the purchase from this site and repurchase from the actual motel, but this site doesn’t allow to do, and their customer service was horrible. If you don’t want to be a pushover and waste money, please avoid using this website.

Misleading. I was was huge fan of this app considering how easy it was to maneuver and hassle free. Recently, I was searching for hotels and given in their filter the option of free cancellation. I used that filter and 2 hotels that stated free cancellation automatically charged my card even tho it stated pay nothing until day of. I was not able to get my refunds. They just lost a customer unfortunately. This app is definitely misleading and customer support is no help.

First and last. I was driving today planning to stay in Denver. The hotel couldn’t find my reservation. I had everything from the confirmation number to price. It took them an hour to call a bunch of people. Apparently they sent me an email. I’m not checking my email while driving. It was the last thing I thought of because everything was confirmed. I checked it and they thought it was fraud. My MasterCard was on a travel alert. It had worked previously. I was appalled as banks and credit card companies will call. They never called. Drury Inn took care of me and matched the price. I will never use this app again. Sorry the customer service is so bad, you guys can’t make a simple phone call!
