Don’t brother it doesn’t work. I downloaded this app and it didn’t work. I thought I needed to pay to upgrade to premium...it still doesn’t work. I would like a refund.

So much fun!!. I did not purchase the premium app, and I suggest you don't. This free version has so much content to offer! For the past couple of months I've been struggling to decide how to freshen up my hairstyle. This app offers so many cute and fresh hairstyles that you can actually "try on" it's amazing how good these look once you format for your face. Love it!! This app is amazing, cannot wait to go to the salon now.

Failed to download hairstyle same problem. This seemed like perfect app but was ruined by the fact that I can’t download any styles EVEN THOUGH IM CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET. Paid the fee and everything, very frustrating.

Should have read the reviews too. This app is crap. Getting the same thing as everyone else. Can’t load the hairstyles; check internet connection. And my internet connection is just find. Hello! I was able to write and submit this review. Oh, in Instyle apparently doesn’t care because after looking at the review, this issue has been going on unresolved for YEARS!! They either need to get it fixed or Apple needs to kick them off the App Store!

Cannot connect. Will not work except to take my money for premium and now there is no valid contact to get a refund!

This gets 0 stars. I’m so mad at this app... it will not do anything it said it would! Keeps saying the styles “failed” to load due to internet... my internet is great. Need a refund ASAP

Fun & looking good. What a fun app! I never thought I could look so good in celebrity hair. I upgraded to the premium version and wasn't disappointed. Great job InStyle!

Great app!. I love how easy it is to take a photo, change my hair and then bring with me to my hairstylist. It's so fun to play with that I splurged and bought the premium version. Now while my boyfriend is playing video games, I can play makeover on my iPad!

FUN!. Once you get the hang of it, it's hard to put this app down! I played with it prior to my recent haircut and was able to show the stylist what I was interested in changing--great result, too. The color choices aren't too great, but you can get a really good idea of what types of styles work for you. I was surprised at some styles that didn't look good for me. In addition, I was able to post some funny options on Facebook. I recommend this app.

Why the crashes?!. Would be awesome if it didn't keep crashing! It may just be the free version, but I'm afraid to try the paid... I think this would be 5stars if it stopped shutting down on me.

Fun!. I think I spent an hour on this app when I first found it! I love how you can change the color of the hair you choose and you can also change the shape and length. The final result is pretty realistic. I was able to show my stylist exactly what I wanted. Not willing to pay money for this app so I would only give it a 5 star if it had a few more styles.

This app is a joke. I’m giving one star because zero wasn’t an option..... I’m having the same issue everyone else is having “No Internet Connection”........ It’s frustrating because I had high hopes for this one, it looked like it was exactly what I was searching for.

Does not work, do not pay for premium. None of the hairstyles download so the app is useless. Even if you pay for premium the styles don’t download. I will be demanding a refund.

CRASH InStyle. As others have mentioned, this PREMIUM App will crash shortly after initial use. I used it for about 30 minutes before it locked up. I went to Apps purchases on my iPad and looked up App Support for InStyle's Hair App, following all the instructions. Still no access (initial screen starts loading then it goes back to iPad App Menu). This is a fairly new iPad, few Apps, with extra memory and nothing was running in the back ground. Still crashed. Don't waste your money...

Dumb. This app uses your photo statically-no adjusting-just pastes some 'celebrity's' head shot hair on top. Useless

Unhappy. This app ran fine when I only had the free version. Once I paid for the upgrade, it crashes every time I try to use it. I can't access pictures from facebook either. I have emailed them with this issue but have yet to receive a reply. I would not recommend this app. because you can't get support and it always crashes.

Waste of money. 1. Download app. 2. Spend money for hairstyles. 3. Cannot try anything because it can’t connect to my active internet. 4. Fools and their money soon part.

Not worth it.. I was very disappointed in how the program actually placed the hairstyles on the picture. Basically you got a little of the style just around the face and not much else. The settings that then user enters need to be more defined to get the coverage that you need to really get any use out of this. I need a refund.

Disappointed. Paid for the premium upgrade and what a disappointment. All the choices are young and the hairstyle selections by age only go to the 40's. And did I mention the "cartoon type" hair! When you select the hair style you want to try, it appears on your face and doesn't have the slightest resemblance to real hair at all. AND, don't get me started on the color selection--very brassy--at least in the blonde selections. Waste of $5.99 in my opinion.

Kinda stupid. It's an amazing app the best hair editor I have I cut my hair once to match a photo of what I would look like but this app doesn't go on phones you need to change that it's great so please make it available to all devices

No good. As a previous reviewer stated, all the hair looks like cheap, shiny wigs. So none of the hairstyles look good. Also, after outlining my face carefully, the hair was in all the wrong places. I looked about as good in the pics as my dog did wearing a wig on Halloween. My family quite enjoyed giggling at the silly hairstyles. Worth one star was finding out I have a long narrow face shape, which my husband promptly told me he already knew.

No internet connection. App will not download hair styles.

Exactly the same nonsense as everyone seems to be experiencing. _cannot download any of the styles and each time I get a message saying “failed to download, make sure internet is connected” I paid the 5.99 for the premium and that didn’t download any styles either. My internet is fine, my iPad has plenty of space. Buyer beware until they actually say they’ve resolved the issue. I’m going to waste more time requesting my money back.

Loving the hairstyles. This app is so simple to use and I'm loving all these hairstyles! I may actually be that person who brings their iPad to their stylist. :)

love it. So many styles to try on--I couldn't stop. Uploading your photo and getting your face shape is also awesome. Definitely worth it!

Fun app. This app is pretty fun although the added cost for the hair styles should be more up front. With out the added hair styles it can get boring. I'd like to see more styles soon. Both me and my daughter play with it.

Is this a scam?. I paid $5.99 for the upgrade and only get messages saying it can’t connect to the internet. I cannot even find the proper link to request a refund. I want my money back!

Supposed to be FREE? but was charged $1. I thought this was a free app, so will be disputing the $1 charge. Even so, the app is crap and does not show try on of different styles.

Ms.. This is the absolute coolest tool I have ever seen. So simple to use and so satisfying. I just pulled a pic off facebook and it worked perfectly. Ps. I posted my "makeover" on facebook and my account is on fire.

CD. Would be such a great useful app if it didn't force close so often. It is easy to upload photos and has up to date styles. As a hair stylist I find this a very useful app and a great new way to let clients see different colors and styles before an appt. Please fix force close issues!

IT IS A JOKE. This app was downloaded on my iPad that has great internet connection and plenty of space. It keeps telling me that it can’t download any of the styles and to make sure I’m connected to the internet. Nothing works. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.

Doesn't work. I feel like you should get a warning that an app hasn't been updated in 7 years before you buy so you don't make this mistake

Won't load. This app doesn't work. I just downloaded this today and it says loading.....loading.....loading....land it never loads. I tried deleting and reinstalling but that didn't work either. Too bad because I would have bought the full version, too, since I'm due up for a haircut soon.

Awesome and fun. My three year old and I had a blast with this app. I even splurged and paid for it. Well worth it. It works great and I finally found a hairstyle I liked before I went to the salon and experimented! I highly recommend this app!

It's ok.. I really enjoyed playing with this app. Although the full version is priced way to high. Then it would just never load. So I deleted it and re downloaded it. It still hasn't worked. I did not get the full version.

doesn’t work. Downloaded and went to try on different hair styles, came up with repeated error message that photos couldn’t be downloaded and to check the internet connection. All connections fine, app does not work.

Terrible. Not the friendliest to use. Interface is alllll over the place and on the iPad it's a pain. To top it all off InStyle wants to monetize by charging you for pictures of celebs. Ridiculous.

Could be good. This could be a cool app but it crashes all the time, so it's hard to see just how it works. It has a small selection of different styles to choose from in the free version so if you want more you have to upgrade but I would stay away from paying for this app until they fix all the bugs in it.

Too bad. Was so excited to use this app but it crashes every 2 seconds- Really bummed- developer needs to fix this! In Style should be very upset, especially since your brand name is being associated with a sub par product.

Terrible. It stays open long enough to get a pop up to buy a subscription to Instyle magazine.....when you actually try to use the app it crashes every time. Really disappointed and don't intend to purchase any other Time Inc apps EVER. Hate to give this even 1 star but they don't let you leave 0 stars.

Absurd. Okay... First of all I do love this magazine and am a subscriber!!! Just today I called customer service just because I totally forgot my password and couldn't log in my iPad... They have a special IPad customer service section and still they cannot manage to fix the bug on this app ? IT DOES NOT OPEN!!! Ridiculous & Annoying

Disappointing!. I started using it and I loved it, but the next day when I went to open it again, it would load for a few seconds and then just close. It won't open anymore after LESS THAN A DAY. if no none fixes the bug soon I'm gonna delete it. And apparently this happens to a lot of ppl!

Don't purchase!. I wouldn't even give this app one star. Whatever you do don't purchase the premium version, it won't give you access to premium content, just crashes. I submitted a request to iTunes to have my purchase refunded.

Love this app!. Love trying on celeb styles, with my photo! And it even tells me my face shape! Fun and easy to use. Great job InStyle.

No stars. I want to give this app NO stars. It's completely useless. I was able to place ONE style on my photo and then I had to upgrade for any other functions. Ugh.

Horrible!!. I purchased the additional styles for nothing. I hardly have anything on my iPad and its still horrible. The memory isn't the problem! This App definitely needs to be fixed. How do I get my money back??

Not impressed. The idea is great, but there aren't many styles offered. They say 200+styles, but you only get those for 'upgrading'. I didn't find anything worth upgrading for. Otherwise the app works fine.

Best app in category. I like what this app can do and it does it well. But for the $6 in app purchase it would be nice if you could drop the adds thank you. Other than that this is a great app.

Stop asking for premium!. Tried this for my kids, seemed like there was an add for UPGRADE or PREMIUM every time we tried to use it. It was very annoying. Hard to use and the upgrade cost too much.

Crap. Fix the bugs. It crashes way too easily. Deleted it as there weren't many hair choices anyways. Fix the bugs and I'll re-download and change my rating.

Great fun!. This app works very well and my daughters and I have a great time trying on all the hairstyles- on ourselves and on various friends and pets. We love it...

Does not load. App will not load, will revert back to the home screen after trying to boot up. Also, I pd the 5.99 fee for the upgrade, but my iPad was replaced (defect). I am unable to access the upgrade features on my new iPad, unless I pay the fee again.

Doesn't work. Nothing works except photo upload. Bought premium and still doesn't work. Can't try anything on and buttons don't work and it crashes. And yes I have good hardware and closed all other apps. What a rip off charging that much for an app that doesn't work AT ALL.

Connect the Dots??. So far, this has loaded fine but when I get to where I'm to use the dots to "perfectly" outline my face, the dots are in a jumble and I can't figure out the directions to use to draw / outline my face! Frustrating as the hairstyles look fun.

Nice concept.....too bad it....... crashes way to frequently. On 2 different ipads with the oldest (original) and the newest (latest) firmwares on them. Please fix ASAP!!! 5 stars if you fix constant crashes otherwise 2.5.

Very poor performance. Stupid app crashed the first time I opened it. It crashed the next time I tried to change the photo. It simply did not work. Not good.

Can't get past the first page!. It looks like it would be a fun app if it didn't immediately crash every time I open it. I've closed every other app I have running and restarted my iPad but this app is still worthless.

Unusable, keeps crashing. This app was unusable for me, it just kept closing itself, usually when first launched. Occasionally I could get to the point of choosing a photo from my library, but as soon as I chose a picture, the app closed itself again.

Options. There arent enough styles for African Americans to choose from. There aren't enough "natural" styles or non-weave styles. Nice concept to play around with on a rainy day....but needs some work.

Terrible. Even with all other apps closed, this runs sporadically at best. The transformations section is especially poor; hairstyleles only load approximately a third of the time. Certainly not worth Onew dollar, let alone six. POS.

Lousy app, very slow. This app brought my iPad 2 to it's knees! Every click takes an eternity to register, and you have to subscribe to get more hairstyles. This app might be fun if it wasn't so slow and difficult to use.

Multiple crashes. Can't get this app to load a pic from my iPad library. It closes every time. It also won't connect to FB without crashing.

Force closes all the time!!. Every time I try to: save a hairstyle, FB a hairstyle, or do anything other than determine face shape it closes. Also, EVERY time I click on "try style" after I have already loaded my pic I have to start over : / Would have been a 4 otherwise.

Looks so fake!!. Do not even bother with this app. The hairstyles that are available look so fake, they look like cheap shiny wigs. To top it off, they want 5.99 to upgrade. RIP OFF!!!! For In Style mag, this should be much more realistic looking.
