Predatory App - Zero Stars. This app should require passcode to access your camera. My toddler was able to select Yes to give camera access when the app prompted and panned the camera to herself, her brother, etc. With children potty training, diapers and/or just unaware of their private parts at this age, it is extremely reckless, dangerous and unacceptable for an app to allow this access without passcode. Apple should step in and require passcode in-app for camera access for this reason.

Space. I liked the app, but it took up way too much space. Since my child rarely played with it, I deleted it so I could download more apps.

Highly recommend for toddlers, pre-school and the kid in you!. The sounds, colors, graphics....the entire package is very well done. Worth the $4.99....children really enjoy learning while playing this program. THANK YOU

Love it. I love this game for my brother but he is still on c how do you get d or other letters maybe he is losing fix it.

Wrong letter sounds!!!. The astronaut says the sound for a short o instead of a. This teaches kids the incorrect sounds. Elmo should know better. ;) Making teachers' jobs that much more difficult....

Fun!. It has a lot of little interactive things that my daughter loves. It helps with writing, and the songs are great!

Awesome!. Friendly Elmo leads your child to discovering the alphabet in many different ways. He says the letter, your child traces the letter, and there are 3 different activities associated with each letter. As a mother trying to teach a 2 1/2 yr old boy the alphabet, this app is awesome!

Amazing app. I babysit a 3 year old who (because I read on my iPad) thinks its cool to look at my iPad and poke at it. I started with basic coloring programs or talking programs but she is too little/impatient to deal with most of them. So I started on a hunt to find a toddler friendly app (a free one was preferable). This was perfect. It only plays A B and C, but it's the free version. The full version (which I plan on purchasing as soon as my paycheck comes through) has all the letters. There is so much to do in this game. When I downloaded it I thought it was just going to be a few flash cars with a picture of Elmo on them or something simple. However, I was shocked at how much content there is in this one app! So many videos, pictures, coloring pages, activities and fun (I played it for almost an hour by myself it was actually so cool!). The girl I babysit LOVES it, even this free version. There is so much content that even her attention span was used up with only the 3 letters, and we have repeated them with no sign of her being tired of them. Plus the variation of material gives her a lot to take in while being the usual educational style for sesame street. This version is great to see if your toddler likes the game or if their skill level is appropriate, but also has enough content to see if you like the learning style enough to buy the full version. I love it and plan on getting the full version. This free app is a blessing and I was so glad I found it in my search.

Only A, B, and C letters available. Cannot figure out how to "unlock" all the letters past a,b,c. Elmo says to touch any letter from a to z, but only a,b,c are available. Very frustrating for my 3 year old, and for me.

Excellent preview of the full app. As the other commenter said, only A,B, and C are enabled, but what does one expect from a lite version? This lite version does a great job of showing what the full version does.

Free version only includes A,B, and C but great to see what it can do. Right now I just downloaded the free version because our daughter is 18 months old and I wanted me and my wife to see if it would work for her now. It looks fantastic. Elmo is surrounded by letters. He asks you to draw the Lower and upper case. When you do videos and more are unlocked. Like a bear video for B. I would think great for whenever your child starts to learn ABCs. Great job Sesame Street. Will buy the full version for sure when our daughter is ready. Hopefully retina update by then.

Perfect lite Elmo app. This app is insanely fun and has LOADS of content (videos, coloring, games, letter tracing, etc.) - even with only the A-B-C letters available in the lite version! My 2 year old loves it, my 5 year old loves it... absolutely worth downloading and purchasing the full app!

Seriously?. You guys put the controls in the bottom corners right where a kid puts her thumbs. Uh. Move them and I'll buy the full version.

Distracting. The voice of Elmo is distracting and hard to hear. Some kids will only want to play the games.

Lame. The app won’t even open anymore. And there are no reviews in the last year?! Deleting. This app was lame and the lack of support makes it obvious that the company just wants you to buy the paid version of this app.

This is boring 😒. When I was seven years old I really wanted to download this app, even though I already new the alphabet so much. But I love Sesame Street! But it literally only lets you try the first three letters! And if you want to try all twenty six letters you will have to pay $4.99 dollars, it makes no sense. What about the younger toddlers that need to learn the alphabet? I begged my dad to pay almost 5 dollars for this? I thought this app would be better than it is right now. What a shame to make my father pay almost 5 dollars just for me to play three letters. And it’s the same thing with the Elmo loves numbers lite, you can only play the numbers 1 2 and 3 until you pay a certain amount of money. Whosever created this app should of thought better.

Impressed. Lots of learning. I got it before a plane ride and my 2 year old loves it. I was impressed with how much there is to it. I can only imagine what one with the full app.

Not worth the download. You get letters A-C, all the other letters you have to pay for

Only ABC!. There is only so much you can get out of three letters, so that's disappointing. But my 3 yr old loves it and especially the "real" videos!

Updates ruined this once great app. Please fix all of these bugs. The original version was perfect, now my kid can't use this app without getting frustrated ..

Please Fix!. My 3 year old loves this app. It is very easy for her to use. The app is very age appropriate and offers great activities. The BIG concern I have about this app is that Elmo is teaching my daughter the WRONG sound the letter "a" makes!

Unlock. My kid loves Elmo but my kid loves that letter E and we want to you unlock all the letters and to unlock them maybe you should give points for the game so every day unlocks a new letter please do this please

Not well written, good idea though. As a developer, this app is terrible. My boy loves elmo and all the good apps we use all disable buttons as soon as he touches something and wait to move on before re-enabling them. This app lets you touch everything so he is constantly, inadvertently playing things he doesnt want to do. When you touch one thing, it shoud disable all the buttons till the video or song or excersize finishes. Or at least time it to 10-30 seconds per push. As it right now I would not buy the full version. If it was fixed to disable buttons like it should and all the other Elmo apps do, then I would recommend it. Good idea. Poor coding.

Great learner!. I also felt the touch wasn't as on as it should have been.... But then realized if I just waited till it stopped whatever it was doing, it responded better! My son is almost 2 and loves everything Elmo, and is beginning to recognize letters. He immediately enjoyed this app and all of the fun it has to offer. Definitely buying the full version! Thanks sesame street, keep up the good work!

Great if you only want to learn three letters: ABC. Must pay after that.. Not useful. Mostly a free way to sell an upgrade so you can learn letters D~Z, which cost extra.

Great, but so limited!. This gave us the perfect opportunity to evaluate the benefits vs annoyances some apps never allow for. We definitely just invested the $5 in the full app. Three letters can become old after awhile. My almost 18-month-old loves the videos. He still needs help drawing and locating the letters, but it's so fun watching his face as he completes a letter!

Gonna get the full version. The reviewer that commented he could only get abc letters only is because it's the free version u pay and you'll get all the letters...DUH!

Grate game for my baby sister. This game is fun and addicting too my baby sister she loves it and she takes my phone too play it lol 😂 and I love it as well get this if you have a baby sister I bet they will love it too btw so good 😊

Disappointing. BAD! I dislike this app very much: terrible quality and way too many MB's. I would expect better from Sesame Street, especially as the full version costs $5. Elmo is not enough to make a good app :-(

So far so good. My daughter loves it so far and it's very easy to use and has the right interaction.

Good. You have to buy the full version in order to have all the letters available (as most of the games for iPad). Good overall.

Improvement needed. It is very difficult to trace the letters. The app lags constantly. They also don’t utilize the full screen so there’s a lot of waisted space which results in all of the buttons being very small. If they could fix the lagging and make tracing simpler (for toddlers) it would be a whole lot better! The videos and songs are great but function is missing the mark.

Update for iPhone X please!. You can’t close the app without a home button!

Needs shut off button. You can’t turn the game off or clear your screen on a newer iPhone without powering the whole phone down. Plus Elmo keeps talking and talking when you’re trying to turn it off. So it’s pretty frustrating when your child is done playing with the game. Otherwise the children do have fun with the game while they are engaged.

Good for the lite version. Both my 2 and 3 1/2 year old seem to love this lite version app despite the fact that it doesn't go past the letter C. Pretty entertaining nonetheless. It has several versions of the alphabet song with videos. Also has a letters game. Of all the apps that promise to keep your child entertained for hours, this one actually did it for my kids.

Disappointing. My 2yo really likes this game the problem is you only get the first three letters, if you want the full alphabet you have to buy the full version for $4.99.

Only Gives First Three Letters of the Alphabet!. This “lite” version is only a trial that only allows you to access the first three letters! If you want the whole thing then you’ll have to purchase the full version for $5. Otherwise the games are very fun and educating.

Outstanding!. My 2 year old loves this and can mostly use it by himself! The hardest part is that he has to trace the lower and uppercase letter if he wants to unlock videos related to the letter! But he recognizes most of his letters and when people asked where he learned them he says Elmo!

Freezes up. Half the time the app will not open and when it does it freezes up. Very disappointing for a 3 year old who loves Elmo!

Go Hammer!!!. My son loves the H go Hammer song. Other than that this app is a waste of $5. I think it may cause autism so be careful.

Banana. Nice app for toddlers. My only concern is about ernie and bert's video where ernie put the banana in his ear. Now, every time my 2 yr old son sees a banana, he would put it in his ear. Not a good example for kids to follow :( I'm now deleting this app.

Pretty good. This is a great app that incorporates video and interactive activities in a fun way. There's the odd bug but I'm sure they'll look after them in time. Buying the full version for sure. My daughter loves it.

Wasted money buying alphabet only worked for one day. Paid 7.99 for all the alphabet to show and it only appeared for one day. So what I have to pay $8 everyday for my child to be able to use the whole alphabet ? I’m very disappointed

Don’t bother. While the kids seem to enjoy tracing the letters and playing the limited games and videos, you can only access letters a,b and c in the lite version. It will frustrate them to not be able to access any others so you are faced with paying $7 for the full alphabet which I think is too much for what it is.

Screen is not centered. The new iOS moves the screen out of the box and is basically non viewable.

Limited and too $. I cannot understand why this app only does letters A B and C. It gets boring quick. It seems like other letters will be unlocked, but that isn’t the case. Disappointed for the price. Potential there, it doesn’t live up to.

Great for testing out before buying main version. For those who complain about this version.....how many apps allow you to actually test the products before you buy the product. Tested it, kids loved it, so we bought it

A bit buggy. While this is a good step in execution, the app is buggy. When trying to select items it's a bit hit and miss and becomes frustrating.

Touchpad problem. The touch pad did not respond well and makes me leary of purchasing full version. Other than that it is good.

They only give the first 3 letters of the alphabet.. Your child can only access the first three letters of the alphabet to learn, all others are blacked out.

Not sure about the learning portion. Lots of videos from Sesame Street for letters ABC,but is it really learning? If you wanted to watch Sesame Street videos just use the PBS app.
