Old was better. Loved the old version and used it for years! Recommended it to friends. I still use it, but the updated version has a lot of glitches that never happened in the old version. Particularly the entering of purchases and uneven splitting of items. I also miss the totals appearing when you turned the phone sideways. BUT still super helpful! I use it for trips of 8+ people and saves so much time and energy! On my wish list: shared trips with other people with the app!

Sharon. Not helpful to me at all. I’m sure it works for simple split but then you could just use a calculator. Pd $1.99 for nothing but aggravation.

This App is Awesome - Love it!. Used this app to track expenses on a 4.5 month trip with my boyfriend and it is fantastic! Started to get a little slow at the end but that's to be expected after recording every expense for every day for that long of time. Very easy to use. Highly Recommended!

A godsend!. A friend and I are making a 3 mo cross country tour and this app has been a godsend. If one of us owes the other money for something we can track that as well as the costs we are splitting. It took me a while to figure out how it works, but I am so happy I am using it!! I just wish they had a conversion for Canadian dollars.

Does the job. This app is great. It does exactly what I wanted it to do. Was pretty easy to work out how to use, but reading the informative Help is recommended.

Really Useful. We have used this on multiple international trips. It has worked really well. The reports it generates are especially noteworthy for how clear and informative they are.

Simple Interface - meets my needs. You can have multiple trips. You can split payments unevenly. You can email yourself or whomever the results of your trips. This is great if you are trying to stay within a budget for a trip. And I'm only on the free version where you can only have 2 splitters

Awesome App!!!!!. This app is very easy to use. It splits expenses with ease and totally eliminates a need for calculators or kitty systems. However kitty systems would be so much less trouble to keep track of with this app. It took the money stress out if the equation. Highly recommend!

One of the best apps ever!!. Absolutely one of the best apps ever!! I'm thru week 1 of a 5 week drive across the country and really can't say enough about how easy to use and fun this app is! It takes just a few seconds to take a photo, write a few words, then upload the waypoint. Friends & family back home are keeping up with my travels & I'm creating a travel log for myself to enjoy when I get home. Well done!! Thank you!!

Very nice. A little bit cluttered looking at first but as soon as I used it I found it was super easy and sooo fast to use. Best app I have found to keep track of expenses on trips, and I can even split it between friends. Best of all, it's free :)

Excellent UI - very useful. First off, I want to say "good job" on have an easy user interface. I would recommend that you also consider this up for general users who wants to keep track of their spending, like when they go on vacation. The splitter is cool. I think you will have a wider audience if you market this also for single users. I tried this on a recent trip to use my iPad to track how I was spending my money. I have no need to split the bills so the defaults are great! I tried the email feature and I feel that it can improve more. A few things that I would suggest are 1. Include all information, the exchange rate used, annotations on the item. 2. Make the time of transaction optional or make it a fuzzy time like am, pm, eve, net etc 3. Have quick buttons for sub categories, e.g under food, you have Inch, breakfast, dinner. Under transportation yu have taxi, trains, bus, etc. That way the time is also not necessary. 4. Allow landscape mode for transaction entry. I like to set my iPad down and do data entry and usually use it in landscape mode. I think the turn to show the summary is cool and it is fast. I don't think that is necessary since I wouldn't need the summary until the end of the trip. One touch away is good enough or better yet, use a slide gesture to move between transaction entry and reports. Overall, great product with potential to be better. Thanks!

Good App, but could be so much better. Allow trips to be aggregated. For names appearing in multiple trips, show combined views of multiple trips. Sync with Drobbox. This should automatically allow shared "trips" with multiple users, across different devices. A group can create a shared folder in dropbox, and now anyone in the group can contribute expenses to the trip, and see the synced view. These two features would make Trip Splitter unbeatable, and much better than SpotMe.

Very useful. Got this app to split a mini trip to the mountains with a friend. It really made our lives easier--we split gas, food, ski rental costs, etc and never had to take out cash or a calculator. I have a trip with four friends coming up, so I bought the regular version for that--def a good buy

Trip splitter....love it!. I travel a great deal w/ guys or other couples. Trip splitter is fabulous for its simplicity in keeping track of expenses. Quite intuitive... No more putting $$ towards a shared "bank" ... Anyone pays and TS takes care of the math. Only trick is to make sure expenses are entered. Love it!

Makes group travel a snap!. Easy to use and takes the headache out of splitting trips with varying participation and bill payers.

Great app. Easy to use, captures most expense categories. Doesn't rotate to landscape profile. Best non-expense report type app I could find. Give it a whirl and see what you think.

Roommate bill splitting. This has worked well for splitting our bills throughout the year. I like so much of the interface. Would prefer pushing a button to get the tally, rather than having to rotate the iPad or iPhone to get it. Perhaps that's in the paid version? I'll have to check on that.

Upgraded from Lite, took my money and no upgrade. I paid $1.99 for the upgrade. Deleted app and downloaded Lite again but making me pay again for upgrade. Wow, horrible.

Best travel app to keep track of expenses when traveling with family or friends. This app was great to use during my recent trip to Italy. I was traveling with a few friends and this easily kept track of our expenses and who owed who. A must have.

Great app that I’ve been using for 3 years. I love this app and even though I haven’t done a lot of traveling since Covid, I have used it on 4 group trips so far since downloading in 2018 and it’s worked perfectly!

Great app, confusing UI. Once I figured out the UI and conventions used in the app, I discovered this app is extremely powerful! Just needed to get past the learning curve.

Very good with some suggestions. This app works well to record expenses on dates and split them evenly between people. I would like to see you be able to split things unevenly I would also like to see the photos of the receipt be full screen when you tap on them rather than having to store them in your photos to be full-screen It is useful enough that I did purchase it to plan to use it for personal trips with freinds

Fab!. Surprised at how well this is set up! Made our trip to Germany & France with another couple a stress-less breeze. I even use this for even solo trips as a way to keep track of expenses - so easy to enter cash transactions to get an accurate post-trip budget & remember names of restaurants, etc. Def would pay for the >2 version when the need arises.

Lite version is very lite. Only two people split is allowed on lite then they want you to pay to use more people. Lite version is not worth the download.

Perfect for travel with a group. I think this is the first review I've ever written but i felt driven to do so. Traveling with friends can be stressful if you're trying to account for multiple people, expenses and days. This app satisfied every need and will become a permanent fixture of my group travel.

Europe17. I am finding this a great app when I am planning my holiday with 3 others. With only 2 of us on the whole trip and the other 2 for varying times it is making it much easier.

Great app!. I've been looking for an app that can monitor expense split but have never come across any app that quite does the job. This is on app that did everything I wanted & more. Love the interface too. Only thing is that it is not linked to an online account so that it can span across multiple devices. Am even thinking of getting the full version.

Exactly what I needed!. This app is fantastic! Over the years it has provided me with exactly the functionality I have been looking for, and to this day I cannot find another app to provide the same functionality with all the desired features. Wish list - You could pick the colour associated with each member - You could enter in a % for uneven splits Cons: - It could use a facelift, definitely a dated look and feel

Extremely useful app.. Very useful app. Easy to use and fairly simple in a good way. Short learning curve and pretty intuitive to use. Simplifies the accounting for travelling. Definitely a must have if you travel.

Perfect companion. I've used this app for a trip with my girlfriend in Vietnam and it work so well! Actually this app is an everyday companion to keep track of iou with significant other :). Why not 5 stars? The outdated iOS 6 look. Btw I'll be buying the full version because it's that outstanding !

Buggy but no competition. Crashed several times on iPad mini. Confusing and poor workflow. Emails sends csv along with a nice table tally. Could be much better with a little more effort. Unfortunately there are not many competitors.
