Great counting app. So simple yet great for teaching toddlers to count! My 20mo daughter loves it. I also love how you can customize the pictures, voice, and numbers. Perfect for my daughter.

Helps teach 1-20. My daughter quickly learned to count to 20 with this since it offered her the visual number, audio and ability to interact. I just wish she could expand upon it and use it to help count past 20 as nothing else we're doing is helping her consistently recognize or count past it.

Omg he understands numbers!. I started using this app at 14 months and now he is 16 and he really understands numbers 1 to 10, it crazy how fast he is learning and loves playing it daily. I replaced all the rewards sounds with my wife and I, so they would also say his name every time. Great app.

Wonderful app!. My younger kids all love this app. It's really helped with those tricky teen numbers. The repetition each round is very useful for helping learn the counting pattern.

Counting Bear. This app is perfect for young children just learning to count. I love that I can customize so many things. My three year old can count by memory to 20 but was having trouble associating numbers with an actual quantity of items. With this app, I could break it down into bite size pieces. Instead of working with 1-20 or even 1-10, we started with 1-5 and added the rest as she got more confident. Great app!

Counting Bear. I like the images and the auditory and visual feedback each time an item is tapped. I would like an option to create an endpoint or finish - after a set of trials and a " play again" option rather than have the program go on and on and on.

Nice. I wish at the end of counting the items instead of saying "sweet" or "awesome", they would say "five strollers" or "two bears". Because of this they only learn to count but not understand the amount or purpose of counting.

Counting fun. Really think this a great app for our students. Love the ability to customize . Also good for fine motor practice for some of our special needs students.

Simple, Fun & Customizable. My 3 year old loves this app. We love customizing the various congratulations using Dad's & son's voices. My wife is from Laos & we made the app pronounce the numbers & objects in Laotian. Very cool!

Crashes. Crashes on my iPad. I'm only able to load it for 0.5 seconds. Worked fine before, not sure what happened. iPhone version so far so good.

Great. My 3 year old is always skipping random numbers when she counts. We have been using this app to help her practice her counting. She will count longer with this app than any other teaching method I have tried.

Fun and Educational~. I LOVE the photo quality picture of all Grasshopper Apps, and this is no exception! My almost 3 yr old loves this game!! Our K teacher always reminds the kids to "touch and count" so this is a GREAT tool for him to learn BEFORE he gets there!!!!

App crashes when you try to add your own pictures. I was excited to be able to add my own pictures but every time I try the app crashes.

Boring bear. I saw this app being advertised on a morning Fox program so I thought I'd try it out for my grandson who is a year and a half. It was interesting to him for a short period of time. The program is boring to say the least. Maybe they could also change up the woman's voice and it would be more tolerable. The repetition of the app is to get the kids to counting. That it does.

DOES NOT TEACH PROPER COUNTING AND LACK OF TECH SUPPORT. My 18 month old loves this app and I did too, at first. After personalizing the settings in my own voice, the Numbers & all the Objects I've noticed this app is too slow at counting when my toddler touches the objects on the screen. She will touch 3rd item then if she hits two really quickly it will skip from saying #3 to #5. Therefor Teaching INCORRECT COUNTING. I have now sent TWO emails to their support team and have had no response what so ever. No updates to fix the error therefor I rate this so low. If changes are made I will definitely rerate this app BUT UNTIL THEN LOOK FOR DETAIL IN "MORE SECTION" THAT SHOWS "BUGS WERE FIXED ON COUNTING ERRORS" BEFORE YOU WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Great App. My 2 yr old just loves this app. Very user friendly. Would recommend it to others. Just tap each picture and let the counting / learning begin. Great for the young ones. My 5 yr old is too advanced for this, but still loves to interrupt her brother to touch the pictures.

Counting bear. This is a geat app for teaching one-to-one correspondence. My kindergarten students enjoy it. I like the ability to customize. We put different teachers' faces on it to help kids identify theit itinerant teachers. Great!

Another great success!. The company delivers a perfect strike on everything they make. My daughter isn't even two yet, but already counts to 20, figures out logic puzzles, and says over two hundred words with amazing clarity and points out things she knows everywhere we go. We've made dozens of our own flash cards for some of the other apps this company makes and she knows how to say nearly everything we've been able to take a picture of. These people have fantastic apps and best of all they're either free or $.99...we have no complaints and show them off to everyone one we know. Great. As an early childhood special ed. teacher, this app as well as all Grasshopper apps are great tools for students. The counting is reinforcing. The screens are well laid out and not cluttered. We've put all Grasshopper apps on our iDevices within our department. Great resource.

19 month old counting to 10. My 19 month old counted to ten one day by himself and I was wondering where he learned it. Now I know. He showed me this app one day and was counting along with it.

Great for preschoolers!. I love this app for my three-year old. It is very understandable, encouraging, and the lady's voice is so happy and fun for my child to listen to. The only recommendation I have is to change the photo for the oranges. Since it shows 1.5 oranges in each photo, when the program shows the two photos, each with 1.5 oranges, technically there are three oranges, but the program says 2. This is a minor detail, and I am so impressed with this learning app! Thank you!

Great app!. This is a nice app for very young children. I love the way it says the numbers as they tap each object teaching 1 to 1 correspondence. I like the fact that a child could tap any object in any order and the objects are still counted. I agree that very small kids will love this. Great customization features and a large variety of pictures.

Great for Learning numbers. How else for a youngster to learn the numbers except thru repetition? Math is work and I have had a hard time until now teaching the concept of numbers to my 3 year old. My two year old is catching on also. This app, however, crashes more often than all the others and also fails to display the image on the screen occasionally. all that is needed to do is close and reopen or hit the home button. So I am still rating it a 5.

Fantastic app. My son loves this app. To those that complained in the reviews below... just email support and you get an answer in less than 24 hours. The fix was really simple. They made a mistake when updating the app so just delete it and download it again. You don't have to pay again and that fixes the problem in a second.

Closes. Great app for learning, but it automatically closes when my daughter touches the bear in the corner, which can result in a frustrated child, otherwise great.

Very happy!. Yes it is very American, but no Aussies or Brits have stepped up to create anything as good, so I'm very happy! I have never had this app crash on me. It would be perfect if there was a confirmation at the end after the praise, eg. 'Well done! 5 squares'

Crashes!. When the little bear in the corner is touched it crashes and a lot of the time it will freeze and not progress on to the next number to count, have to close the app and reopen it.

Auto Close. My 2 year old loves this app but every time he touches the bear at the bottom the app closes. It's really annoying. If this was fixed I would rate it 5 stars.

Fun. This is a great app to learn to count. My 5 month old loves hearing the numbers as he touches the screen. I like that I can adjust how high it counts to suit his needs and that you can choose which pictures to use. I'm sure we'll be using this for quite some time to keep him entertained. Good buy!

Simple but useful. Simple concept but its useful and effective. I would have liked to hear the corresponding number when a previously counted object is clicked on the screen. Besides that it works well and would like to change the counting to higher number. Perhaps a custom setting for parents to set the upper limit.

Okay App. My 3 year old loves this app but I wish it was a little more challenging for her. Instead of having children touch the picture & having the number said for them, I would like to see an option that allows them to first count the objects then select the correct number of items.

One to one correspondence. This app is more about targeting where to touch on the screen and teaching the concept of one-to-one correspondence than counting. As each item is tapped the next number in the sequence is spoken. The user doesn't have to count and enter an answer in any way. Good for very early learners.

They love it!. I like this app for kids who are learning how to count. Besides, as SLP I use this app for children who are non verbal or are starting to do it. Great app!. We have a houseful that love playing games and this one is no exception. Our 18 month old, 3, 5 and 7 year old have all enjoyed this one. Some of the key things I like about it are, you can taylor it to your child's level, they don't have to count in any pattern in each set, the numbers and words are spoken and appear for visual and auditory learners, and the realistic pictures of everyday objects are awesome. All the kids keep coming back time and time again. Thanks for a great app!

My special students love this!. I use this regularly to help my special students review counting. They love hearing the numbers while they count and do not mind repeating the process over and over because there are new pictures everytime they finish counting one set. Great!

ipad version crashes. I liked the fact that you can add your own pics...but this crashes the app when you try to do it.

Great for learning to count.. This app does exactly what I was looking for in a counting game. The child has to touch each item before going to the next screen. Some counting apps change screens as soon as the first item is touched. I love that you can customize how many items and what order they are being counted (in sequence or random). My 3 yo loves learning to count with this app. I would like to see it support the landscape view on my iPad.

Doesn't Open. It used to be a great app, now it doesn't open. I've submitted two complaints with no response and no improvement.
