New site. Like everything else, change is hard to accept. I much prefer the old site, to this one. Also, the older site frequently said fetching article, which was annoying so I would need to try later. I didn't have problems with other sites, just yours.

Your TV Signal. I can’t receive your signal here in Salem even though my antenna with a booster is headed towards you. I recieve channel 21 very clear however WKBN 27 is my favorite channel. Even pointed your direction I even get Cleveland Channels. This is a FYI only. I have your News and Weather apps on my iPhone and iPad. Thanks.

Up to date on news and events. Nice to know what’s going on around me, and in the rest of the world no matter what I’m doing

Clunky. This app continues to disappoint. Freezes, is clunky when moving from one heading to the next. Currently it won’t let me view at all, saying there is an update needed. When attempting to update, nothing happens besides watching the circle spin. Come on guys. You’re a media company. Get it together.

News Alerts. No sense to send news alerts cause when you click on the alert it doesn’t take you to the article it just takes you to the site. You have to search the site for the article and HOPE it’s on there. Every time you do an update to this app you just make it worse instead of better

Terrible. The new update is awful. The automatic playing of video is annoying. I can understand ads but not opening a story to read and getting blasted with video. I’ll probably delete.

Too many adds. I would rather pay for this add a few bucks than deal with the ads. You can not do anything without having the an ad pop up. This is horrible!!!

When away from home. I can get on my phone but , I have the app on my fire stick but will not function on any fire stick.

Love it!. Very informative. Info is up to date. No political bias is interjected. Just the facts.

Update is terrible. Didn't like the site before with too many videos I'd rather read the articles and not have to sit through the ads which are ignored anyway. Don't like that the local news doesn't automatically come up.

78 Penguin. I would like to see more frequent updates especially on weekends. High school sports schedules are difficult to find, as I like to see different teams each week during football season. Access to timely police blotters each day would be great, not just weekly or monthly. The weather reports are excellent.

5star. I LOVE this app!! I have a busy life and I’m always on the go. I don’t always have time to sit and watch the news at home so it’s just more convenient for me that I can just pick up my phone at anytime and check out the news and see what’s going on in my neighborhood. I don’t have any issues with this app. I give this app a 5 Star.

Freezes. It used to work well, but now it freezes on everything. Sorry, but you have dropped the ball

Keeps me up to date!. The app is great, keeps updating with important news.

No more automatic video. If I want to watch the video I can click on it turn off the automatic play. When I am somewhere that is quiet and want to read a news story I don’t need the video to start making noise

Great local coverage. When the WKBN site first changed I was unsure of the quality of the reporting. But it has grown to be the number one site I go to for all things local. I think they do a fine job.

WKBN. It’s awesome because The kids can watch weather for kids

Was very good, but not recently. I’ve used this app for a long time, and it is always been very good, but as other people have mentioned recently, it’s almost unusable now. It locks up constantly. I have the latest version. I restart my iPad and iPhone regularly. The app is just locking up and crashing a lot in the last month or two. Hopefully this can be fixed and it can go back to being a very good app!

To much copy and paste articles. When WKBN post an article from another news outlet, it doesn’t make it a real story. That story should have real people and real information and not just hearsay or opinions. The copy and pasted articles are just bias stories that News outlets want us to believe.

We read it everyday. We live in San Diego and read the news from home everyday. We moved here over 30 years ago (time really flies) from the Sharon area. When we came to San Diego, there was no internet or cell phones. It was much harder to keep in touch with local news. This website keeps us connected to our hometown and Youngstown area news and events. We both have our iPads and iPhones setup for notifications. My husband and I couldn't be anymore pleased with the quality of your app. Clusew

Kim Jong Un report. Sent out a news flash (forwarded from TMZ, nice touch) that the North Korean leader was dead. He’s not. Whatever happened to “investigative reporting “? You don’t have to be first to report the news, just accurate. Murrow must be turning in his grave at this point.....

Home news away from home. For those like me that live most of the year away from the area, I‘m glad for this local news app. The app functions well, but it could be technically improved. I depend on notifications (turn them ON!) and usually read the stories that interest me. If there’s one thing I could change it would be for the content editors to show less left wing bias; It’s sometimes like you’re on the DNC payroll.

Too many ads.. I know you’re in it to make money but the ads are getting to be too much. They make reading the content difficult.

App not working on iPad Pro 10.5. Although it is one of the first apps I use in the morning, all of the sudden it has been freezing on startup. I would restart my iPad and all is good. Today after restarting twice, it still hasn’t started.

Update. Needs nothing looks good

Blurry pics. Please fix the thumbnails. They are blurry. Even when you click on them. Also give people an option to see a clear photo not a video still. Most people wanna read the story not watch a video. Thank you.

Ads. In the latest update lengthy video ads pop up, fill the whole screen and aren’t able to be closed while trying to read stories. Tried to read 2 stories this morning and that happened 5 times, I finally just gave up. I understand the need for advertising to create revenue, but if continues to be this aggressive I’ll just switch to another app for my news.

Live in Naples, Fl. When the Vindy closed, I had no way for news and obits. Very grateful for this information. I’ve been gone since 1979. Enjoy WKBN daily. Thank you, Mame

New version. Terrible ads.. The new version of the app is very nice. However the ads are too sensitive to touch and I accidentally open them all of the time just trying to scroll through. It’s a very unpleasant user experience. I understand why you’re doing it, it just stinks.

Unreliable performance. This app has gotten worse over time! I loved it and used it regularly but over the last few months it has gotten so bad that I rarely CAN use it! I can read one or possibly two articles then they stop populating. I open an article and get first one or two paragraphs and a blank white screen below that. I’ve waited and waited but it never populates an often it freezes or the app just spontaneously closes. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

Warren. I have never seen a station so biased as your station against the city of Warren . When your weather team shows views of other areas Warren is excluded when they show temperatures they show the airport using the excuse of not having a thermometer for Warren but working on getting one which has been ever since Paul became head weather man. Your news announcer referred to the airport as the Youngstown-Vienna airport I will encourage all Warren residence to refrain from doing business with your sponsors until the time comes when your staff can be less biased

Deceptive "headlines". The ads on this app are placed so that you accidentally click on them. I don't like that the ads often have "headlines" that look like a news story. The ads are often inappropriate. I don't want to be linked to a page about a gun range when reading about the Texas church shootings or any other murder. When trying to read election results, I was redirected 3-4 times to a site asking for money to send Bibles to Syria. Very annoying.

Anchors n weather. Your Two from 5:am to 9:00 am are are excellent Chelsea n Dan n Alex that does the weather is excellent too. Chelsea n Alex work together from 12:00 to 12:30 grt Them two are e best they are both more than 5 star

Rate. Your top rate quality service very informative

One flaw that could be deadly. Nice app, except when the weather changes for the worst and your trying to watch the live feed broadcast and have to sit through a 30sec to a minute ad. In moments where seconds could mean life and death and somebody is trying to sell me a car. Smh please remove ads from emergency broadcasts on the mobile app.

Review. So hard to navigate through the app. Many times I want to get quick local news updates but then refrain from accessing app because of the challenges in navigating the app. I like the news team but app needs something to make it more friendly and easier.

News while away from home. I love that I get to watch WKBN News while out of town.

Definitely useful. I absolutely love this app. It’s so useful when you’re constantly on the go. And I love that there is more live content than on some of the other local news apps.

Recent Issues. I use this app daily to keep up with local news. Lately, it has been freezing on me every time I use it. No other apps do this, so I suspect it is this app. FYI!

Review - Pictures. Many times the pictures are not clear. It seems that the resolution is not high enough.

New IOS update killed it. Overall good app, but Whois the font so small on some of the stories? Make the font adjustable or at lest bigger.

When new things happened. I have my favorites and this is my #2. New Yorker by birth ABC, NBC & CBS. Now it’s NBC, CBS & ABC. Excellent app!

Too many ads!. When the app first came out it was fine, but now it has gotten ridiculous with the ads. There’s an ad when the app is first opened. Then there is a permanent banner ad at the bottom of the screen. When you click on a news video you get a commercial first then the news is played. Now most recently, there are ‘Sponsor’ ads in between every couple of news stories on the feed. Crazy!

App freezes. The app is ok but it freezes constantly. Thought maybe it may have been my phone or WiFi, but other news apps don’t do that at all, I never have to deal with that on the others. Can that be addressed and fixed? Thanks so much

Lousy content. The app isn’t worth the space

New format is terrible. Too many ads interwoven into the news articles. I find as I try and scroll to the rest of the article it is pushing me to an insurance ad on my browser. Very frustrating.

Network connectivity issues. Almost every time I open up the app it tells me I have network connectivity issues even though my Internet is strong. It might be because I have an I phone 5S and struggling to be compatible with the newer applications but nonetheless it is very very annoying. I ended up just deleting The app.

Wkbn app. I now live in Fort Myers, Fl and I love this app. It keeps me in touch with home.

Please add an offline mode. Please add a mode where it load all the articles and still photos and retain them allowing the last batch of stories to be readable when there is no Internet connection. Both abc news and USA today apps can do this.

Good notifications!. Much better after the update. Could be more easy to navigate but really like the app

The world is full of lies.. I don't get why no one likes the new app? First off there's many more options, it's MUCH easier to use than the old one, the pictures are bigger, it's more accurate, and last but not least it gives you sports news (my personal favorite). Great job with the new app guys I love it much more than the old one!

Fix the bug I can't open this app. I love this app I usually open it several times a day, although haven't been able to open for several days now and seriously tired of the atty ad before I could look at the news!!!

latest WKBN update is buggy. Do not update until this is fixed.. Latest update is buggy. Sure the notifications are no longer a problem but now there is another one. You can't read the full page when you do the page just jitters. Making it impossible to read the news.

Horrible!!!. I have never written a review before on any app. This update is so bad I finally had to write one. Nothing about this update is good. I agree with all the other reviews. I used this app all the time for local news and even entertainment news. Now the local news is all sports and the entertainment feed has stories that seem like random news about people no one has heard of. Please redo this app!!!

WKBN. This one is just as bad if not worst than the last site

Update horrible. The new updated format is horrible! We are unable to get most updated news. Usually a page error pops up, when we do get the page with out an error it is difficult to navigate. Also, it does not include health news, horoscopes, and other different types of news or just for fun info the old app included. Please go back to old app or please fix this one to make it more user friendly and interesting.

It Blows. The myValley weather app was much better... I got it got weather alerts.. This app doesn't push weather alerts... Actually just a couple weeks ago, when we were having storm warnings.... Not only did this app not push the weather alerts, but it showed no alerts in the app itself, all while warning tones were going off on the radio... And what it does push, stupid news stories... I want the weather alerts

Used to be better. This app was much better when the stories were in a fixed position. Now that they rearrange every time you click on a story and you can open it and find week old stories ahead of ones that happened today, it's very frustrating to look through them.

App is a p.o.s.. App constantly crashes or freezes.

AWFUL!!!!. Wkbn should have not changed this app. It takes too many steps to get to different areas. Why no pictures? Why no separate weather app? New weather info too hard to follow for a quick look. Needs lots of changes. Doesn't load or crashes most of the time. No animated radar. Don't waste your time with this app.

Disappointing. I previously relied on this app for ALL my local news. However, WKBN recently decided to sell advertising rights and now every time I open the app I am immediately greeted with a pop-up for local businesses such as "Boardman Nissan". What a total disappointment WKBN. You have lost a loyal reader. I encourage everyone to delete this app.

Hate it now. I loved this app until the last update. It's absolutely horrible now.

Sharing issues. When you first click an article then go to another and want to "share" that second article via share options Facebook, Twitter email, it will link to the first story viewed not that current article you want to share. Too many ads. A few are okay but one too many.

Weather. Great Weather Men and Always Watch WKBN.

Horrible!. This app constantly has error messages. I much preferred the My Valley Weather app to be separate. It worked much better.

Used to be OK. Does anyone who develops this app actually use it? It used to be OK and now it is unusable. Things I don't like include the following: ads cover up the bottom of articles so I can't read the ending; double pictures show up when clicking on an article but no words appear - I have to click on one of the pictures to see the article; the menus are on the right - are Chinese developing this app???? Menus / selection choices belong on the left! Sometimes I can't scroll to see all of the info. Basically today I am giving up on once was my sole way to get y-town news. Please have this fixed by someone who actually uses it to get their news.

Download wfmj's app instead!. FINALLY another news channel has created an app. Wkbn you did NOT set the bar high at all. Poor grammar, misspelled words, horrible stories, unstable app, crappy updates, the latest one which opened an ad when you opened an app forcing the user to either read the advertisement for an lawyer or 'x' out of it. Pretty shady wkbn! Now the app won't open at all (jan, 18, 2014). I have now downloaded WFMJ's new app and will be deleting THIS app on both my ipad and iphone. You dropped the ball on this app for many years, but we kept it because it was the only local app out there. Well, NO MORE, have your app developer and story writer (transcriber) put down the crayons and go back to third grade.

Works fast, annoying ads.. The new update is great, it loads and functions much faster! The only complaint I have is the ads. They pop up way too often.

Hooooooorible!. This was one of my favorite apps until the recent update, now it is my least favorite. This app is terrible. This was the worst update ever in app history. This app in now garbage. I am deleting it. I would rather have no app, than to have this junk. Why someone would change something, only to make it worse than it was before, is beyond me.

Recent Update is a Downgrade. The layout is not user friendly. This used to be the best local news app in Youngstown. Now I’m switching to WFMJ.

App freezes. This app is constantly freezing and lagging. Maybe it’s due to the way the advertising is set up but it’s awful!

So poor not worth a star. It's sad a good new station put out such a worthless app. Video stream hardly works, weather info gets stuck after the advertisement. Please update this app so that those of us who can't park ourselves in front of a TV at the correct times can get our news too.

What is this junk. I tried to play a news video. The screen turned black and about 5 to 10 seconds into it a car dealer ad started playing noise over the newscast so that I was treated with great deals on new and used cars and news of relieved business owners on 224. Both at the same time. Once the ad finished the blackness went away and the whole iOS poltergeist had come to an end.

Awful, Horrible, Terrible!. This used to be one of my favorite apps, and is now totally ruined. No local news. The same Sports story appears 3 or 4 times, incomplete and flat wrong weather. Complete garbage!

Go Back. The last upgrade pretty much rendered this app worthless. If I could give this zero stars I would. App won't update or refresh automatically. Always defaults to national news instead of local like I want it to. Fix this WKBN!

Remove the ads!!. I tolerated the subtle increase in ads for WAY too long. The straw that broke the camel's back occurred when the cheap folk at WKBN started using intrusive video ads that played regardless of what you were doing in the app. The goal of using a news app is to see news, not to be hammered with ads at every tap you make. Take out Dallas Hartman's mug shot when you open the app and take out every other ad inside the app and I'll start using it again. Switching to WFMJ as they seem to be less hard up for cash, and if they are, they're not desperate enough to load their app with ads.

Non-working garbage. I updated this app and now it doesn't work at all. What's worse, I tried to go to "app support" and that link doesn't work either. I would like to think they would have at least tested the update before releasing it. Oh well. I'll have to find another source for my local news after I delete this app.

What the heck happened to this app.... The ad at the beginning with the attorney needs to go I'm tired of seeing it everytime I open the app!! I think y'all need to review what happened to this app! I loved your old app and with this new change its horrible! Nothing on the app is working correctly! Needs fixed before I use it again!

Horrible. I had to change to this app because you got rid of the weather app. Now I can't set my location or view my weather in Brookfield. There is no app support anymore either. I just get taken to an Internet version of the app. Fire your developer and get a new one quickly! This app is a waste if space.
