GolfNow Book TeeTimes Golf GPS Comments & Reviews 2026

Disappointing and inconvenient. Most overrated app I’ve ever used. You are charged a convenience fee for each tee time you book even though nothing about it is convenient. God forbid you are a human being and have something come up and have to cancel a tee time, not only will they charge you for the tee time (even if it is cancelled a week in advance) they will also let someone else go ahead and book that tee time and tell you it’s been filled (I wanted to let my brother use the tee time since I would have to pay for it anyway). I was also once charged double for a tee time because the app froze, was told I would be reimbursed in full (after waiting on hold for an hour and a half), and wound up with “promo codes” which are only redeemable Monday-Friday when any productive American is working at their job. This is the first time I’ve ever written a negative review for anything but this app has caused me so much trouble I needed to get it out there. I would highly recommend anybody using this app to switch to another golf app like 18Birdies. This app has cost me hundreds of dollars unnecessarily and has been nothing but trouble for me.

Terrible customer service / communication / cancellation process. I booked a reservation but never received a confirmation email. There were NO reservations in the app under my account. I called the course to confirm that I was not NOT booked (prior to the 24-hour cancellation window), because I could no longer make the time. They confirmed there was NO reservation. However, a few days later Golf Now charged me a $50 no-show fee. I tried to dispute with my credit card company but they requested I provide proof of cancellation. However, GolfNow can’t provide a proof of reservation, because it didn’t appear on the app, in an email, or with the golf course. In theory, they could basically just charge anyone and say the customer is at fault, even though there’s no documentation of it. I’m deleting the app and, moving forward, will book directly with courses.

Course location was far off, terrible CS. Visiting a friend in a city outside Louisville, KY and we wanted to get a round in before dark. Searched the city in the app that I was in for nearby courses and it selected a course that was 7.4 miles away (or so the app told me, my filter of “within 25 miles” was also on.) the course was in a different city, which was normal for being in a semi-rural area. Trusting the app I didn’t put the course into my gps yet to check and proceeded to check out. Come to find out that the course was over 3 hours away. I’m guessing my “use my location”was turned off but it shouldn’t matter since I searched the city directly, state and all. The app was obviously wrong but I assume responsibility because I didn’t check the location of course through Maps. I called the course to cancel and they stated they can’t do anything which I expected. Called golfnow and they refused to accept responsibility. Deleted the app immediately and switched to a competitor.

GN .... not what it was. Read before they rob you!. App works ok. The policy stinks! .... become VIP, get golf balls. Didn’t happen. .... rewards only apply to hot deal rounds. Really? .... used to be able to apply rewards anytime you booked. Now.... you must book three days in advance in order to apply rewards. HEY Golf Now.... you took my money, allowed me to book one round, changed the booking policy, and rendered my vip account non refundable. .... oh, and for all you non vip members, don’t bother to book unless it’s a hot deal round. GN charges a booking fee ($3.49 pp) when you can simple call the course for no fee charges. GN... the courses are advising customers. And the players are talking. What used to be good chatter.... is not so good anymore. Edit: ....as well, when searching, hot deal rounds list as one price, when clicking through, the hot deals are then different prices (higher). Edit: you’ve just sent me an email confirming a worse booking policy. You’ve doubled the VIP price. And you prey on Lower level courses.... You’ve lost your way. Abandoned your core business model. Lost customers. And ruined your cred at courses. If you focus on good business principals and deliver good customer service, the rewards will come. Keep in the direction you’re going.... the doors will shut.

Good concept, bad execution for the app. I’ve scheduled a fair amount of tee times through the app. I have recently tried to schedule one where the app tells me there is an error or the tee time has been taken, yet continues to schedule me under the tee time and charge me their “convenience fee” after I have moved on and booked at another course under the assumption the course I originally wanted to play at was taken/booked. It is frustrating because I am being charged for this fee and am unable to get a refund on this now schedule tee time that I am unable to cancel due to it being less than 24 hours. Please fix the app with it telling me there is an error then no longer offering me the tee time I intended to take, then charging me for the intended tee time. Unnecessary money spent…

Good app bad with subscription. Great app and very nice to pair with the new Compete app. But the yearly Golf Now subscription is scam”ish”. May be beneficial for some. But the peacock yearly they offer is the lowest tier with ads. I had to call to get the subscription key. Still have not received my 40$ Taylormade credit so will have to call for that as well. But most importantly, the “savings” on bookings are only for the “hot deals” that you book day of. No way to apply the savings credits to future tee times. If you are booking for a group you’re charged 20$ for the hold which then reduces prices for remaining tee times making you ask your partners for 5$ in return to make yourself whole. Subscription not needed FYI.

Beware of HOT DEALS, predatory refund policy !!!. I booked a Hot Deal for a foursome $422 thru the app on the wrong weekend two weeks in advance . 10 minutes later I realized my mistake and changed it to the correct weekend. I assumed the paid amount for the hot deal would be credited towards the correct booking. I sadly learned that GolfNow NEVER EVER refunds a hot deal. Only a credit is issued for 6 months. This predatory practice traps one’s money in their system and penalizes simple honest mistakes. Customer service is a joke. Very nice front line agents took my call, sympathized with me, conceded the point but ultimately my pleas were flushed away by higher ups. Yes this appalling policy is all spelled out in the fine print but it is not customer friendly. Not easy to use a credit given all the restrictions. Just give me back my money! Only use app to scout courses and fees. Never book thru the APP, and be particularly cautious with Hot Deals. Always book directly with the pro-shop.

Stay away!!!!. I used to use this app a lot to find a tee time and maybe save a few bucks also turned a few friends to it. But now I will never use it again. I bought a tee time, when I hit the book button and it charged my account, it glitched and double billed my account. Now usually this isn't a problem for any company. But for over a month I fought to get my refund. I called numerous times every time holding and waiting taking away time from my schedule. Every time starting from scratch because no one could look in my case file.(unless there isn't one and it was them feeding me bs) Every time the conversation ended with "we are issuing a refund call back if you don't receive the funds in the next couple days." Few days later still no refund so back to square one. Or my personal favorite was when the associate told me "I'm gonna personally look into this and I will call you back with answers." Never got a call back. After a month and out $132. Yes a $132 was double billed. Finally someone emailed me they couldn't issue me a refund. Furious I called and found someone who explained to me what was going on and I had to get my bank representative to prove I wasn't lying and their system was the one making an error. But hey at least they sent me a few sleeves of golf balls.

Terrible Customer Service. I have used this app a few times and it worked fine. I made a tee time for this weekend and received an email that the course modified the tee time to something we couldn’t do because of Covid-19. I tried to cancel the tee time and discovered it was not eligible for cancellation even though I was following the direction of Golfnow. I called the number in the email I received from Golfnow to discover they have no phone agents, they are now all chat agents. I went back to both the app and the full website to try to chat and there are no options. I tried to call the course to cancel and their automated system hangs up on you. The app is fine for booking a tee time, though probably worth saving your $10 “convenience” fee and just call the course directly. The real breakdown is their service if you need to modify something. Terrible experience and I’ll be letting everyone wi know who golfs about my experience as well.

Can’t create an account. I downloaded this app on my iPad and iPhone and on both devices I get an unknown error when I try to create an account. I have varied emails, passwords, user names and phone number and each time I get the same unknown error message. You can’t do anything with this app without an account so at this point it is nothing but an icon and wasted memory on my devices. Help!! I was finally able to go online and create an account. Apparently the unknown error was a user name that was already being used and the app didn’t understand it. Programming error. Now my local course has been rerouted about a year ago and the app is not up to date. Frustrating when I am on a 124 yard par 3 and the app thinks it’s a 525 yd par 5 and the lines for the hole crosses 3 fairways. So far on 3 courses it has been worse than useless. Great concept and probably great when released but if it’s not kept up to date it’s a waste of time and battery.

Golf now scoring and sharing. This app had been about the best available until earlier this year when, as a result of a change we cannot again add and retrieve any new player. In addition to this grave inconvenience, we cannot again share scores with other players in our group (of course, only those players whose names were not removed when the app was tinkered with). GolfNow promised to have had this glitch fixed back in April, it’s approaching October and after too many calls and complaints it still has not been corrected! We are beginning to believe that it cannot be corrected or GolfNow isn’t listening to us the consumers!

Was great…now scamming. At first, the app was terrific. It would book teetimes at reasonable prices for courses that I didn’t even know existed. It was a welcome change. Now they put up hot deals, you go to book them and they say it’s no longer available, but they will still charge your card. I understand the charge will eventually come off, but they leave the times up there thinking that you can go back and get a new one. When you do that, they charge you again and say it it’s no longer available. They sent a charge to my card six different times in one day over times they kept putting up that were available and then would say they are no longer there. I realize that these are first come first serve, but six times in one day is a little suspicious. Just be warned.

Decent... I’ve used the app a few times. The hot deals aspect of the app is really the only part worth using. Today I booked a tee time for 2, because I used the app I was automatically grouped with another 2 sum and the starter at the course was unable to change it because of the app. I was also charged a $5 “convenience fee” and when I got to the course to pay the remaining balance the starter told me that I would have paid the same amount if I would have just called minus the convenience fee and I would have been able to golf as a 2 sum. Basically, I wouldn’t suggest using this app to book tee times, beside the hot deals. It’s handy to look at courses and see when they have tee times available, and then just call. Not worth paying an extra “convenience fee”.

Horrible user experience w/gift card. I received a golfnow gift card for Christmas. The fine print says that you can ONLY use it on hot deals. If it’s not a hot deal then you can’t use it. I then tried to use it on a hot deal only to continue to get errors. When I tried to get more information, they requested for me to provide the persons name and email and date of purchase from the person that gave me the gift card. So I had to go back to the person who gave me the gift card to get this information. Why this gift card doesn’t allow you to simply enter the gift card and book a tee time is beyond me! So frustrating and have never in my life had so much difficulty trying to use a gift card. Don’t buy gift cards from them otherwise you may regret it! And because of my experience, I’ll never book through golf now ever again, not worth it.

VIP pays for itself, missing 1 key feature. The app is very smooth and does everything it says with ease. Getting the VIP package takes off convenience fees when booking tee times, and will easily pay for itself over time depending on how often you play. Even with the convenience fee, the hot deals discounts save money if you have a more flexible schedule. The one key feature that’s missing is the GPS functionality to give you distances and see the layout of the course. The only GPS function is to find the course closest to you so you can select it to keep score and track club usage on a particular course. Other apps that have a lower subscription and similar abilities have this GPS capability. I may switch back at the end of this year if it doesn’t come into being.

SCAM – STAY AWAY. This company preys on lower-level courses in need of revenue and then strong-arms their clients and the courses. I have personally talked to one course who told me GolfNow wouldn't allow them to let me push my time back 20 minutes, even though the course was 100% okay with us teeing off 20 minutes later. I then called a nicer course to try to get our round in, and they told me they would never work with GolfNow because of how they operate. Traffic had me 5 minutes late for my 12pm time and even though the course had a completely open 12:20pm time, GolfNow would not allow them to let us play the 12:20 time without paying for another round. So I payed for a twosome that we couldn’t play and GolfNow refused to refund our money or allow us to play the open 12:20 time which was totally unbooked and the course was fine with us playing. I had to open a bank dispute with this company to have any chance of getting my money back for services I didn’t receive. Worst thing was that my banker was totally aware of GolfNow’s antics and vowed to try his best to get my money back because he was fully aware of how they operate. ONLY USE IF YOU MUST PLAY LESSER COURSES AT LESSER PRICES. ALSO NEW GPS FEATURE IS A JOKE. Just get 18Birdies app and do it right.

I love the App. Customer service on the other hand.... I frequently use this app as I travel the country. The app is fairly reliable... except during fall conditions when they are over seeding or clubs have tee boxes closed. I get the communication breakdown. However, it is frustrating when you pay golf now a rate twice as high as what the clubhouse offers (plus a convenience fee) and then customer service with golf now doesn’t even attempt to honor the club house rates. Buyer beware!!! I have learned to call every clubhouse first and only use this app if they offer a better rate than the course. It’s sad there is no integrity or accountability in this site. I do love the accessibility of this app and believe it has a lot to offer. All of the features work excellent and the app is very reliable.

Now the poor can play the rich mans game. Thank you to the person who came up with this idea . I’ve never been able to afford to play such a great game more than once or twice a year being that it’s so Expensive to play and not having the most money to be able to play as much as I want and that would be every day twice a day now I can play at least once a month or once a week like in the beginning but for some reason it went from having to pay 10$ to only get 12 to 15 off a 65$ deal so not really helping atm not having a job and not having money like I should from what I’ve learned in my crazy life story , like who knew that having REAL PROPERTY is kinda a big deal thanks everyone who is close to me but I’m not here to talk about not being able to play the game I love but to endorse this awesome thing . So two thumbs up from me James Allen White of Wickenburg 👍🏻👍🏻

Good and bad. You get good deals sometimes. You get enough credits to offset the subscription fee. And overall you will save money if you use the ‘hot deals’. Otherwise you just pay the going rate. Easy to use. Good access to video lessons. You’re very restricted on using your credits and bonuses. There is ZERO customer service if you have a problem. No email address listed and no phone number to call. It says there’s an online chat available but I can’t find any link to it in the app or on the website. Doesn’t tell you all the restrictions on using credits and points. You just have to try and see what happens. Some courses you can use them. Some you can’t. Your points may be worth one amount at one course and different at another so be careful. You may want to sit on them for another course to maximize the value. If you get a credit(no refunds are ever given) back for a canceled tee time, you’re even restricted on when you can use it. It may be your money but they tell you when you can spend it. Like I said, you’ll save money but it’s very frustrating sometimes. They advertise your promo codes as “any day/any time”. Couldn’t be further from the truth. They are only good on Hot Deals and those are very limited as to day and time.

Too bad used to be amazing now useless at this price. I have been a loyal Golfnow customer for years. For the first time in several years I did not renew as the app has less and less value. - used to be 89 $ with amazing amount of hot deals usable weekdays and weekends with not limit - they raised the price and started to reduce the number of hot deals but also removed the weekends of the awards usability - then came the massive price hike but with a good deals with 12 coupons to be used on any hot deals to play for free that was amazing but the following year shifted to Monday to Thursday after noon time We started seeing a flurry of hot deals at 11;59 am making this deal pretty much unusable !!! - then this year replaced by a 10$ coupon per month with same Massive restrictions Why renew hot deals are rare to known at least in New England , the prices for hot deals took a hike , and I can now get the same deals by calling the courses directly I did call Golfnow but they told me they knew but nothing they could do The only thing I will miss is The ability to cancel tee times by not enough to justify such a high price. I hope they will come back next year to a better value proposition as I used to love this app but it has become useless too bad

Customer Service is A1 | The App is A1. If you’re a golfer and want an easy to book tee times and get hot deals use this app. Want to see what courses are near you and available, use this app! I accidentally thought I scheduled a booking for Friday and I did for Thursday on a Wednesday. Matthew with the British accent resolved my issues with a new account one time grace credit back. Explained that I can upgrade for a 1 year membership and get to cancel up to 1 hour before a tee time if needed, and your first 10 bookings have fees waved. Just a great app, when it comes with real support service, what more can you ask for these days.

Terrible Customer Service. DO NOT GET VIP UNLESS YOU ARE A RETIREE!!! I love the golf now app, it is super convenient to book a tee time in a matter of seconds without having to make phone calls. I like to get out first thing in the morning and those slots can be hard to get. GolfNow gives me choices that I would have to call several courses to get my preferred time slot otherwise. Their customer service is TERRIBLE. I paid for the VIP membership because as a weekend golfer I saw a lot of value in the waived fees. The best part about the promotion is 10 Free Hot Deals! However, no effort is made to make the consumer aware that these tee times are only good Monday through Thursday after 12. I have a job. Full time employment, Monday through Friday, 8-6. It is impossible for me to take advantage of the driving factor behind me deciding to be come a VIP member. I call, THREE HOURS WAIT TIME, I opt for them to call me back. I requested either a refund or maybe a handful of weekend Hot Deals. I was promised a call back and never received it. 3 calls, same story every time. “I’ll pass your feedback on to management and we will get back to you.” This has been going on for over 2 months. Completely unacceptable. Waste of money.

Essential for any golf enthusiast.. BUT. We've got some pretty good golf in my area and this is a nice convenience yet I'm moving to a new city soon so I already see where this can come in handy for me. Love the app so far I think any golf enthusiast should staple this onto their homepage, with that said I think there's a lot of things that could make the experience much smoother from app to tee. It'd be quite nice if I could pay my entire rate all over the app instead of paying the convenience fee to book my time and then go to the clubhouse and pay my rate. With my main use of the app being such, I could delete the app and just call and save myself the cost of the fee. Overall I like it though. Saves some time searching the web for great deals.

DON’T DOWNLOAD THIS APP!! Truly A Zero rating. I’ve been using Golf Now for years. I had to cancel a tee time the same day do to the course having to close their back nine. The rainy weather the days before made it so impossible to play their back nine and for $76 there is no point in playing the front twice. The fact that I got an email for the full tee time reservation is not only outrageous but the nerve of Golf Now to say it’s the course asking to have the fee collected. I called the course and they were very frank with me and accommodating and willing to try and help. There is absolutely no purpose for this app. They have ZERO I mean ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE! If you don’t believe me look for a contact number on the app or website you won’t find one. This is the first time I’ve rated an app and I will continue to rate it with this same message as often as I can so other golfers don’t get screwed by a horribly run company! DON’T DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!!!DON’T DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!!!DON’T DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!!!DON’T DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!!!DON’T DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!!!

Could be useful to some, but…. I find this app may be useful to people who pay right away possibly, or only pay for themselves, but I’m usually planning a tee time for a 4-some. I don’t pay right away cause sometimes guys don’t show up or won’t pay me so I choose to pay later. Every person added to your group increases the fee for booking a time. 10 dollars just to book a tee time is ridiculous. Just have a flat fee no matter the group size. I stopped using the app because I’m always setting up tee times for my group. I just call now and get a tee time for free. So the app can be useful for people, and I’m not saying it’s a bad app, but in my case it’s useless and I do think the fee shouldn’t change per person when you can call and book for free.

Terrible customer service will steal your money. I use to love y’all’s app but after an incident yesterday I doubt I will ever use it again. I booked an afternoon tee time for me and a friend yesterday. When we arrived at the course they did not see our time anywhere. Once we started looked we discovered the time had been set for the next day. The course general manager and my self both contacted your customer service and was told there was no way to Change/ reschedule/ or cancel because it was prepaid. I understand if I just wanted to out right cancel then yes charge me but the reservation was made for the wrong date. I had to pay the course their fees plus what I had to pay y’all so I am out 75 dollars for a simple round of golf. If I cannot confidently book through your app and know the time I am selecting is the one it is setting I am better off just booking straight through the course itself. Thank you for you time in reading this and look forward to hearing from you.

Fix this glitch. I love golf now and have been using it since it was introduced. I generally search a long driving distance as I want to find new courses in my area that I want to play however, it FRUSTRATES ME TO NO end when I click on a course I want to find tee times for or learn more about and if I decide I don’t want to play that course you hit back and it send me all the way back to the top of the list!!!! This is especially frustrating when I travel to places like the Phoenix metro area or living in the Bay Area and have 50+ courses to choose from. Please fix this. When you look at tee times for a course and back out keep the list where you left off. Don’t send me back to the top of the list only to scroll down through 30 courses I’ve already played or don’t have any tee times that are desirable for me. I’ve already had to look at them 10 times!!!

Refund on a hot deal reservation made by mistake.. I’ve used Golfnow app to book reservations with no issues. But today I made a reservation on the wrong date and it was a hot deal. It was meant for May 7th but unfortunately I clicked May 14th on accident. I went back to cancel my reservation but they say no refunds on hot deals. So I book the right date...May 7th and give them a call. Wait times over 3 hours so I have them call me back. I talked to a representative and told him it was an honest mistake and that I already rebooked my reservation for May 7th. But he says it’s policy and there is no refund. First of all they should have waived this and not just send me promos that I still haven’t received. I lost $60 and then booked another same reservation for $61 on the right date and in the hole $120. It’s doing the right thing and giving good customer service. The app seems to be good but the service is terrible and makes me want to delete the app. Warning to everyone who uses the app...to never make a mistake and don’t buy hot deals on the app.

Stole my money. I have been using golf now for a year now, almost all of my bookings have been through golf now and I’ve booked more than 50 rounds with golf now. I unfortunately chose the wrong tee time for a course I was going to play at a later date SAME DAY, regardless there was no customer support on moving the tee time up and the course was not answering the phone. Had to cancel and explained the situation on the comment box when you submit a refund request. Golf now returned my 90 dollars in the form of “credit”. It’s been 10 days now and I’ve tried so many ways to use the credit to no avail. They straight up stole my money. Tried calling golf now and writing but they have NO customer service. Good for a quick round but beware, if you have any issue good luck trying to reach someone

Meh. Golfnow is great at booking tee times. The app is incredibly easy to navigate. It is also useful for those that don’t want to talk to somebody on the phone. Problem is, if you’re not booking a hot deal, you’re paying a fee to Golfnow that’s makes it overpriced. Might as well just call the course to avoid the normal fee. My other complaint is that it shows a notification on the app everyday without a single thing going on. I’ll log in to the app when I see the notification icon on the app and it’s like I logged into the app as if it didn’t have one. Regardless, Golfnow has given me the opportunity to golf over twenty new courses this year. And for that, I am grateful.

Rude people don’t even deserve a star. I have been a client for years booking almost every weekend with you guys. Using your app all the time. For some reason your app set me up on the wrong day and tried to cancel right away but out of the 24hours. I called in and not only were they rude and stated that that is our money and we can’t refund when I was asking just to put it towards a another booking, they told me I was lying! I can’t believe how awful you treat you customer that were here for years!! There are a lot more apps out there I would be careful moving forward how you treat your customers. Never using you ever again

Good app BUT.... This app is good for finding tee times and assist in not having you call all over the place. HOWEVER, as stated by many others, which is pushing me to the brink of deleting the app and downloading another, is the fact that I can A. Only use my rewards $ on a hot deal? And B. It has to be three days in advance, which I noticed never has the cheapest tee times that early. The 12-15$ tee times are always 24 hours out, so it's there way of preventing you from using your rewards money wisely instead of on a 70$ "hot round" that will literally be as cheap as 12$ two days later. 5$! Every time I book a round for a twosome? That's ridiculous for fee's and the 100$ to "eliminate fees" for a year, you would have to play 2x a week every week to even make it worth the 100$ lol no thanks

GolfNow, are you listening????... Easy to navigate, and save $$$$. Saves a lot of calling around. I would like to see GolfNow work with more courses to accept single tee times instead of "2 only" when there are openings. I do book a lot on my own and it seems silly to leave the tee sheet empty when people are willing to play..... My only other comment is the recent decision to require 3 days notice to use your $10 rewards coupons. BAD decision, plain and simple. Hopefully you're reading other reviews who feel the same..and it is forcing you to play before the coupons expire. You can make other tee times the day before, so why not the "Hot deals"???... Please change it soon before more golfers leave the site. I'm pretty close to leaving also....

Deleting my account. Terrible policy. Refund and cancelation policy is just too rigid. Accidentally clicked the wrong date and booked. Upon realizing my mistake, I tried to correct my error but unable to get it corrected. Not only did I have to pay at the course, but also was forced to pay for 2 tee times that I could not use. Since it is not easy to book a tee time for you and a guest and have them pay for themselves, I booked 2 tee times and had to eat the cost of 2 rounds I did not play. Also, the price after fees is more than calling the course and booking direct, and they don’t make you pay when you don’t show up. This used to be good until you need customer service. It’s like the airlines making you pay $200 to change your flight. Customers need to change plans when life happens. Golf is supposed to be about being able to relax. This just adds way too much stress and I’ll never use this service again.

No customer service. WORST customer service of any company I’ve ever worked with, borderline nonexistent. If you have an issue with a refund like me, there is no possible way to talk to anyone on the phone, there’s no email to be found on the website, and finding where to virtual chat was nearly impossible. It took me 30 minutes to find a way to communicate with a human being, and that was an online chat. I had played 6 holes of the round as a group of 4, so the GolfNow hot deal had cost over $100. The course closed for weather which qualifies for a refund, and when I finally was able to chat with customer service they tried to negotiate a less than 40% refund in a credit to my account that would expire in 90 days. I had to negotiate like it was some kind of car sale rather than a REFUND. They came up a little bit, but needless to say, if there’s any chance of weather during a round, I will NEVER use GolfNow again.

customer service?. The app functions well, does what it is designed to do. My recent attempt at contacting the company to solve or at least answer a question, however, left me less than pleased. The customer service phone number, after the usual negotiation of options, purported to be “experiencing an unusual volume of calls” and that the wait time would be three hours. It suggested if one did not want to wait using their online live chat service. So, I logged on and started a chat. Here it said there were two customers ahead of me. After a twenty minute wait, a box (automated I suspect) popped up asking if I was still there. Yes, still waiting. I disconnected after another ten minutes, having better things to do with my time. This all occurred on a Wednesday morning, leaving me wondering how long one would wait on a busy time.

Very poor customer service and loyalty. I’ve been a user of Golfnow for about 5 years. This weekend I had a tee time registered at a local golf course at 830 am…. Are area was hit by very bad storms the night before over 5 inches of rain in 30 hours governor actually issued a state of emergency for the day freeways were flooded higher then car roofs. I proceeded to wake up at 730 am and call the course and received no answer. I assumed with all the rain and no answer course was obviously closed. At some point the course opened that day and told Golfnow to bill me for a no show or cancellation. I’m an avid golfer never once missed a tee time or forgot to cancel a tee time it’s the respectful thing to do. But no answer at course and 5 inches of rain I thought seemed obvious. Needless to say I contacted customer service talked to employee who said the course said charge was valid and could do nothing about it. I asked to speak to a manager after about 20 minutes on hold they came back and said he would call within 24 hours it’s going on about 4 days. No attempt at calling me back at all. Seems a little careless on Golfnow to immediately take sides with course worker over a customer who has used them for over 5 years and never once had any issues.

Helping me rediscover the game.. GolfNow is the premiere service for both discovering new courses to play near or far and capturing a value so you have some extra change on your pocket to play even more golf! On average GolfNow saves me $10-20 per 18 holes played, and when you play as much as I do it adds up fast. The absolute best part about GolfNow is the exclusive offers that are available for users of the service. Just recently, I was able to play Firestone Country Club North while the top 50 golfers in the world were warming up 100yds away from me on the driving range, GolfNow invited me out to participate in a "member for a day" offer that I would highly suggest others to take advantage of any time it's available.

Waste of Money and Terrible Staff. Downloaded the app to save time booking tee times. Had an issue on vacation with a booking for a $100 tee time and they refused to refund the Green fees. Then they said this would t happen if I was a VIP member. So I paid for that another $100... Yesterday booked a two some on accident when we had a threesome playing, went back and canceled it immediately after. Instead of refunding my money they issued a “credit” to Golf Now. I called and spoke to Michelle (Jimmy’s supervisor) who was apathetic towards the issue and just kept repeating the same thing about the terms and conditions. Usually when I trust a company I don’t worry about the fine print, I guess that’s on me. They burned me TWICE, don’t waste your time with this app. Call the pro shop they usually are more helpful and at least you can speak to them face to face on any issues. They will also provide better prices on tee times. I will tell everyone I Golf with going forward about this to do my best in preventing other people from getting scammed.

Awesome 🏌️. I signed up as a VIP last October. Golfnow has saved me and my golf buddies $$$$$!!!!! 1-Tee times are incredibly easy to use and very flexible. 2-Top of the line courses are offered at amazing prices. Played Mohegan Sun for $40 several times. (Reg price $120) 3-Reward points are a bonus and enable me to play 18/w cart for less than $10 ‼️ 4-Customer service is amazing *had to cancel last minute due to raw weather, course was open so a refund was technically not allowed. I called Golfnow and they gave me coupon codes to compensate me for the cost. *every time I call CS they address me by my first name and treat me like a VIP!! 5-I love to browse the different golf courses looking for new courses to play WITH amazing discounts. 6-I find the golf courses are getting used to the “Golfnowers” and tend to embrace us. The only complaint that I have heard is late arrivals of some Gofnowers. 7-I don’t use Golfnow GPS ... I use Swingxswing. May try Golfnow if they fix the GPS turning off during use. 8-My golf buddies love my ease of getting tee times and call me often. 9-VIP “waived fees” saved me my VIP cost and then some!! 10-Love the REVIEW YOUR ROUND EMAILS! It’s cool to read other golfer’s reviews to get insight on playing new courses. I also provide my summary after every round. All in all Golfnow for me is absolutely awesome‼️🏌️

Convenient App. Could use some tweaks. I found this app at the beginning of the golf season. It has saved me money overall, as the "Hot Deals" are hard to beat. I've paid as little as $14 to as much as $54 for a hot deal, depending on how long I hold out to book my round. I, like many, share the frustration of having to book 3 days out to use your "Bonus". Sometimes I don't know if I'll be able to play until the day before, and by then it's too late to use it. I understand GolfNow wants to make as much money on the tee time as they can, but you are also making money from the course that uses the system. I only have 3 courses in my area that use it, one of them being my "Home" course, so for that I am lucky. I've tried using it for keeping score, but it seems the same as other Apps, where if your phone goes to sleep between holes, you have to start from the beginning, unless you take your phone off power saving mode. Overall, it's a good app to have because the rounds from what I can tell are at least 1/2 off the regular greens fees. You just have to be willing to abide by the their policies concerning the Bonus for booking the "Hot Deals"

Generously giving 3 stars. The app is useful and accurate for a free gps. Basically the only thing its good at. It also has a slight stat track feature which keeps handicap. Besides these things which need improvement on their own this app sorta blows. If you let your screen dark you must open, load and resume round everytime. Stupidest sht ever when im using a gps app which should be in use till I close it. Stat tracking is weak as well. I want to know more about my rounds, ie putt lengths, sand shots and penalty strokes. Also where i live (SE PA) there is no reason to book a tee time through the app. You will always pay more than course rate. I have yet to find 1 tee time on the app that beats just callin the course (hot deal excluded, usually 1-2 golfers at weird hour) Whats the point? Greedy and half of the courses around arent listed to book tee time with. I deleted this app once after 2 rounds. Itll probably happen again. Golfnow needs to improve on things. All that money and youre names on a generic product. Like a prov1x playin like a mojo. C'mon

Fine product for deals and ease..... I am (newly) returning to the game now that my boys have become avid golfers. I didn't have all these new features and ease of booking when I played this game many years ago. I like the ease and 24-hour availability to book tee times. My crazy life and business make it difficult to be available to many courses during business hours to reserve a time. I live in Utah, which has a LOT of terrific golf courses. I wish that GN had more Hot Deals at more of the courses around the Salt Lake, Davis, and Weber County areas. I find myself limited to only a couple of courses for Hot Deals, and a couple of my favorite courses are not in this program. I have spoken with a couple of reps at GN, and they are familiar with the courses I am wanting to play - they just have not been able to work out a contract with those courses. Good luck! I hope we can add them soon! All in all, GN has been a good product for me and my boys. I would like and appreciate a greater variety of courses in the Hot Deals program. There are too many great courses around me to be limited to a "couple" of deals.

Poor Customer Service. I’ve just deleted the GolfNow App. I’ve been using it for over a year now. Functionally, the app works great. The aggregation of area golf courses was a useful tool. However, last week I accidentally booked a tee time for the next day when my nephew and I intended to play that day. We arrived at the golf course around 45 minutes before the tee time but immediately I realized my mistake when I went to check in. The course was able to get us a same day tee time and we happily played. I immediately went to the GolfNow app and cancelled the mistaken tee time. They still charged me. I called customer service today and they informed me that I had cancelled 23 hours and 27 minutes prior to my tee time therefore breaching their 24 hour cancellation policy. I politely informed the customer service rep that if she didn’t find some way to make an exception and refund me the $100 for a mistaken booking that I had cancelled in good faith as soon as I realized the mistake, that I would never use their service again. I also informed her that I’m a daily golfer. She made the decision for her company that she’d rather lose them a few thousand dollars rather than refund me $100. If GolfNow refunds me that money, I’ll happily renew my use of their service but I won’t support a company with such lack of empathy and unbudging adherence to strict policy. There’s ALWAYS a way to make an exception. In this case, they decided not to.

Awful customer service. This app is not worth it! People! Just search Golfnow Review online! It shows you how they rip you off! But this is my experience. I tried to book a tee time, it doesn't work saying it's not available anymore. But the app charges me anyway. So I wanted a refund. I try calling and it takes forever so I give up. I go to their site and try customer chat and I tried to explain my issues. In the mid sentence I'm writing this, their "customer service, Scott P" close the chat... What?! I wasn't taking long time to write the sentence. And I purposefully divided explanations and sent my first sentence ahead so they don't think I'm gone. I thought maybe there was a connection issue and I tried to reconnect. Same "Scott P, the customer service representative" appears. He asks for my name and email. So I did. He recognizes my name and email and instantly cut off our chat. What?! This isn't a good company. It might have been descent app before, but they obviously don't know what they are doing anymore.

Tee time mistake corrected quickly!. I had a very bad first experience with this app. My "hot deal" reservation booked me at a course where a tournament was happening. We were told it happens a lot and I had to contact golf now to get a refund. I was upset at the time but didn't call customer service or do anything. I just hurried to make a new reservation the old fashioned way. That being said, in less than 24 hours, without me contacting anyone at golf now, I received confirmation that my refund was being processed. Happy to say they corrected their mistake and I was compensated quickly and without a hassle. Still not 100% sold on the app but then again I only booked the one tee time, but I will give it another shot. Well done.

User experience is excellent!. Woke up today, got tired of googling “courses near me with open tee times and reasonably priced- also a single for 18 with cart”... so I just followed the link from an offered price and went straight to the source and downloaded the app. I found an amazing deal and then went to play. Got paired up with another single and after the round I thought, huh, that dude was pretty cool, too bad I didn’t catch his info. Open up the app to “invite friends” to a round this coming Friday. There, waiting for me, was the guy’s name and profile. Suggested friend. So, this app is pretty fantastic at scheduling, inviting, booking, saving money, and just all the BS that makes you want to wave it all off sometimes- like how I initially felt this morning. Awesome app: smart, easy to use, and very intuitive!! Can’t recommend enough.

Typically works. Golf now is a great option for looking up courses in the area. I have been experiencing problems lately where the presets I use stay the same but the date in which I search for tee times will change every time I go back to the screen that lists out the courses. It seems like a problem with the app. This caused an error in booking a tee time and when I contacted customer service, the gentleman I spoke with seemed to care less. He was short and made it seem like I was inconveniencing him. He first offered a six month credit which wouldn’t have helped seeing that it’s September in Chicago and I may not book through golf now until next summer. He issued the refund eventually but wasn’t happy about it. I’m not sure he realized what I was trying to explain but oh well. Still a decent app when it’s functioning properly.

DO NOT BUY A GIFT CARD-stole my Wife’s money. App works fine for booking tee times however My wife bought me a giftcard for fathers day and I can not add it to my account to use…some sort of glitch in the app system, looks like other people are having the same problem. I called customer service they said it will take 7-10 days to resolve, its been over two weeks no call back, I called again today to see the status, still no progress…nothing they could do apparently… I’m giving it one more week to get it fixed then I get my lawyer to take NBCSports and golfnow to court I don’t care if it costs me money… what kind of company will allow you to purchase a giftcard and then not be able to use it with no solution for the customer but to wait? It is 2023 and they could have offered me a refund or some sort of credit on the spot… This is called fraud! Once I get my refund I am deleting the app unless I get some sort of compensation for all my rounds I have booked in my life using golfnow

Dont go unnoticed. Ive been using this app since the beginning and i absolutely loved it. I do have one concern that maybe i hope im not the only one. What would make this app 110% better. Give us the ability to use our golf promos on the same day as we golf. When i first down loaded the app this feature was golden!! Then golf now had to go and change their rules to 3 days in advance. For someone who doesnt neccessarly book 3 days in advance due to price changes at different course. Having to wait to use my golf now hot deals promo codes kind of ruins the experience of having those hot deal promos to use. So if you can do one thing to GREATLY improve this app. Bring back using promo codes regularly and none of this wait 3 days.

Refused to refund money - I WANT MY $100!!. Accidentally booked a tee time on a wrong date. Instantly cancelled it and still took $100 out of my account. After being on the phone for 40 minutes they refused to give me my money back. I am out $100 and the tee time was cancelled. Thanks....

Horrendous customer service. Tried booking a tee time. App kept telling me unable to confirm tee time, then when I checked my bank statement, the app charged me 7 times for the round. There was no round booked but 7 charges on my card. Could not for the life of me talk to a human being. Junk customer service. Still trying to sort this out.

GOLFNOW. Has made so many memories for me in my golfing life. Being able to play courses all over Hawaii, Cancun and Canada at pricing superior to just checking in. The promotions and customer service are also top notch and grateful to support you.

Best app as a snowbird coming down south. Honestly the best app to book rather it’s a weeks out or same day. It gives amazing deals and also let’s me know what’s around me. Could not be happier.

Canadian review. I like the app but the promo codes do not work. There’s a 50/50 chance the course you’re thinking of is on the app. Have not tried the pro version yet, have booked at least 7 rounds on here and all have been great when I got to the course.

tough to talk to a human. love your site but damn is it hard to talk to a human being when in need that is my only pet peeve

DO NOT USE. Do not book through this app! $11 booking fee non-refundable even when cancelling a week in advance! Youre better off booking over the phone directly with the course. The deals they offer are no different than any standard twilight fee. I deleted the app and would never recommend it to anyone. Complete scam

Needed app but frustrating. This app is needed to make booking golf easy but on the flip side this app is super frustrating. 1. a charge should appear for not being able to get the tee time im trying book. 2. It needs to be more seamless with showing which times are actually free, nothing makes me more frustrated seeing a time that is already booked being on list. You guys book it for us already take it off the list when you book it. 3. Will randomly delete your payment method making it more frustrating when competeing for a time. as i said this app is needed for easy tee time booking but goddam is it also frustraing at times

Save your money. You pay 6.99 Canadian plus tax to book a course. Don’t need to pay that if you call the course directly and book with them. No refunds on canceling booking ahead of time … will be refunded in promo codes.

Scam. Beware using this app, they will take your money and not give it back. I had to remove one golfer from my tee time the day of, they refused to give me my money back unless I purchased a $99 membership. I’m now out $51. Book through your local golf course not this app.

Love GolfNow for Cabo!. Great discount golf in a very expensive area so much appreciated!

Where are my points ? Used to get points for any purchase but don’t seem to get them anymore. Used to get points for

Crummy company with horrific support. I booked and played hundreds of rounds with this site. My account was deleted for no reason and I lost a lot credits and all the round and score history. Pretty crummy company.

Useless. Tried booking constantly crashes when entering Canada for the country

Take money and can’t get it back. Terrible app to get your money back. No contact info at all. Had to cancel due to no carts when we showed up to tee time but booked carts on app.No problem taking your money and provide no way to contact them to get it back. Won’t be using this app again.

Avoid at all cost. We show up at golf course and we were prepaid via app golf course said we were not pointless to prepay on app and get a service charge too

Fantastic. Get to golf our favourite course at a discount as well as have the opportunity to golf elsewhere for cheaper.

Terrible. If you have a problem there is no one to email or help you.

No help, and city searchable. Despite there being courses in my city which I have already booked with this app, I can’t search courses based on my city. And , this is one of the largest cities in Canada. And, there is no chance to reach out for help/questions with this app/company. You are on your own.

Mistakes and Ads. I’m having to call too often, which takes a considerable amount of my time. Tried to apply a bonus gift card my wife gave me for Christmas…..card not valid! Have to call again. Presently on a golfpass plus membership. I was offered early renewal last year at a reduced price. The 10 “free” cancelations were not credited to my account - had to call. Then after 5 free fees, I started getting charged fees. Called and the agent told me I only get 5??? Too frustrated to stay on the phone any longer, so I was ripped-off of 5 booking fees. Free cancelations are not free. GN does not refund fees and taxes. Not my definition of free. Also they have some convoluted system if you have used a promo code and wish to cancel one person in your group. You lose a percentage of your promo code??? That’s enough ranting for now.

Poor customer service. App works fine but when a buddy had to cancel a round with more than 48 hours notice they gave me a credit, which is fine, but said they could only use it on “hot deals”. This is inconvenient. Very few hot deals available, especially for foursomes.

Golf Now. An absolutely amazing App. Truly the best deals around. If you golf lots this is the app for you. To bad in Canada we can only golf 4 months out of the year.

TERRIBLE APP. I booked a time with a golf course only to be called by the course saying they don’t have a contract with golfnow for this year and the time should have never been listed. I tied to contact golfnow to cancel this (since it was their mistake) so I wouldn’t incur a fee and I couldn’t even get any contact info. It only takes you to their useless FAQ. DONT USE THIS APP, I only wish I had seen the reviews online (not on the App Store) before using this. Judge for yourself.

GolfNow sucks. Golf now used to be so good now it sucks. You can only use the rewards mon-Thursday after 12pm and the stupid site keeps crashing when trying to enter multiple rewards coupons

Golf Now. The latest update made the app non-functional

Great golf app. The app is easy to use, and it always has good or better prices.

Great. Great app!!!

It’s cheating!. Golf shot sucks. I booked a tee of Newlands Golf Course on Christmas and paid the money. When I got there with my son, it turned out that the course wasn’t open at all. I applied for refund on Golfshot, but no way to get it done. More ridiculous thing is: there is no phone number I can call, but no damm online chat either. I deleted the app after that.

Good app. I like it but no confirmation e mails received

The cheapest golf I’ve ever paid for!. Great app!

I want to filter out sim golf. Wish there was a way to filter out sim golf options.

Peter. This app and membership is the best golf organizer for me and my wife. When I am travelling si ply love it … now I just need to make more birdies 🙏…

Booking walkers and Carter’s. Can I book once or do I have to reserve twice? Other than that I really like this system of reserving tee times.

Can’t add cc to pay. No option with cc work and most of the courses do not honor their rates

Price is tricky. No integrity, the price is very tricky!be careful!

Hot Deals Not Available. Some of the Hot Deals are no longer available when you decide book them. When you come back in a few hours, it shows them again, but still can't be booked due to the same reason. Please stop showing Hot Deals that are no longer available.

not worth it. much easier to have departures with Canam and the price of GN is not good also some appear as on sale for a penny less

Constant errors. This app has become increasingly difficult to use. I have used it for several years but in the last year everything that I try to do like check reward points or even book a tee time is met with error messages. I have even had to call the 1-800 number to confirm that my tee time is booked. Please improve your app!

Works only sometimes. The app will not consistently let you complete a booking with the selected golf course. Tee time not available and system not able to book at this time ( or something to that affect) happens frequently. It’s easier just to find the course you want to play and call them directly.

Trash.. Never written a review on here so this says a lot, I paid 45$ to book a tee time at a golf course - assuming it (of course, right?) comes off the green fee. Nope. Still had to pay full price at the course as that was Golf now’s fee, so my buddies paid 82$ for the round and I ended up paying 127$ because I wad the one to book it. Don’t use this app.

More filters!. They need to add an option to filter out indoor ranges. Brutal!

Best Club in the Bag. I have had the pleasure and benefit of being a member of Golf Now for many years. It has served my game better than any private club membership as it has facilitated travel to many destinations to play golf at reasonable prices. More over it facilitates keeping up to date with golfing trends offering current trends. No pun! It is the only Club in my bag!

Excellent outil pour le golf en Floride. Cette application est facile à utiliser, bien configurer. Les informations sur les terrains sont pertinentes. Les commentaires des utilisateurs sur les terrains sont pratiques. On y trouve d’excellents rabais. Les récompenses fidélité sont intéressantes. Je l’utilise depuis plusieurs années pour réserver mes départs et je suis entièrement satisfaite!

Review pop ups. App is buggy. Pop up to review a course I’ve already reviewed keeps popping up every time I open the app.

Beware. I used this app to make booking tee times easy and it was. However I recently booked a tee time for 18 holes with a cart but due to weather conditions all they had was 14holes no cart, therefore I cancelled the tee time. GOLF NOW continued take payment in full 4 days after the cancellation! Beware they will take payment without honouring their end of the deal. However after a poor review and e-mail of the severity of what they have done, 2 weeks later I have received reimbursement but no apology for the inconvenience therefore rating of 3 stars instead of 4.

So convenient. Especially when I travel around and don’t really know any golf course in the area. It’s easy to book and I can checkout reviews . It really works for me.

Pointless in Alberta Canada. App is great in theory but Canada golf courses using it are far and in between and the deals they give are garbage, I thought the point of this was for them to fill last minute times up with lower prices but it’s basically just being used as a 20% off coupon riding only. And only for like 3-4 courses in major city area.

Easy to use GolfNow app!!. Simple and safe!

Bad app.. This apo will arbitrarily change the reservation date from what you want. Don’t waste your time on this app.

Call the courses. They charge you for the service and usually by phone you will get a better rate. Additionally if you pay and for any reason you have to cancel your money doesn’t go to you credit car and by the policy if you don’t use the money in a year the are very happy taking your money… this is the app than you don’t need

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR GOLF PASS. This app is a total joke. The golf pass is a total rip off. They trick you into signing up but it is NOT worth it. Most of the time you try to book a tee time and it says the tee time is no longer available or there was an error booking the tee time but it still shows it available. Sometimes you can then book it the next day. The app doesn’t work well at all. It always seems to glitch when you use the $10 off coupons. Basically you pay $100 per year to get $10 off each month (saves $20 for the year if you book one using a coupon every month). Not worth it at all. The deals are not good and if you call any of the golf courses directly they will give you the same deal or better.

Worthless service. Why use this app when you can call the course and get a better price direct? I recently was charged for a foursome even though I only had 3 and it didn’t effect the course at all because we had nobody behind us or wanting to join to make 4. Why charge me for 4? The course said they wouldn’t have charged me but Golf Now did and then there is a reason you can’t find any contact info on the app. They don’t want to be contacted. This is nothing but a service fee app. There is no point in using it and you are better off just using to see open tee times then NOT using the app to reserve but calling the course direct and saving yourself $5-$10 for making a phone call.

Not my favorite. The only reason I still use this app is because they offer a better variety than Tee Off. That is the best part about the app. Over the years this app has continued to make it difficult to find great deals. Now with the added taxes on top of the fees the prices are just about the same as purchasing from the course direct. Then the handling of rewards is a joke. You have to wait until after 12 and 3 days out. Now I’ve noticed in my area with the weather change that a lot of the tee times have moved up to11:50. Lastly, the not customer friendly cancellation policy that has changed as well. Tee off has no fees, taxes, stipulations on rewards, and a friendly cancellation policy.

Changes to reviews access is unacceptable.. I have been a member of Golf Now for several years and have made multiple contributions to the golf course reviews as thousands of other golfers have. These reviews are meant to help other golfers when they are searching GN for a course they may want to play. Unfortunately Golf now is no longer allowing access to the individual reviews and is forcing users to their pay site, Golf Pass, to read reviews. At least for now, with some searching, you can find the reviews without a Golf Pass account. Golf Now is soliciting uncompensated reviews to their site but using them on their pay site.

GN .... not what it was.

THEY DON’T GIVE CREDIT. I have been using golfnow for years now, but the only bummer is that you better not make a mistake while booking online, they will NOT credit your card!!! They will offer credit in codes and I have had issues with that because of the restrictions placed on booking and play days. They used to be so great but now their business model seems to just want to capitalize on profits, leaving the client at the tail-end. Their booking fees are a story for another day. I miss the old Golfnow!! Opted to download another golf App that doesn't charge fees.

Great service/customer service, but unkept promises. The golfnow app has always been great and the golfpass is an unbeatable deal. My issue is with their association with pointsbet and the bonus I was promised by golfnow after signing up with their partner. So far, I have talked to several customer service representatives (who have all been great), yet my problem has yet to be resolved by upper management. I never thought I would have to leave a negative review for golfnow, but I am disappointed in their lack of responsiveness and empty promises. This seems like an issue that could/should have been resolved in a week instead of me still waiting for nearly 3 months.

Not so good now. The discount is over unless you are a paying member From a review they use in promos Ratings & Reviews - Now the poor can play the rich mans game ***** 2y ago. GhostKing86 Thank you to the person who came up with this idea. I've never been able to afford to play such a great game more than once or twice a year being that it's so Expensive to play and not having the most money to be able to play as much as I want and that would be every day twice a day now I can play at least once a month or once a week like in the beginning but for some reason it went from having to pay 10$ to only get 12 to 15 off a 65$ deal so not really helping atm not having a job and not having money like I should from what I've learned in my crazy life story, like who knew that having REAL PROPERTY is kinda a big deal thanks everyone who is close to me but I'm not here to talk about not being able to play the game I love but to endorse this awesome thing . So two thumbs up from me James Allen White of Wickenburg

Not a fan of the new update. Been using the golf now app for years. Loved the old gps and scorecard features. New update is nowhere near as good or as user friendly as the old one. New update no longer keeps track of bunkers or penalties in a round. Also cannot see these statistics for a particular round like in the older version. Only the overall statistics for your average round. Miss seeing the fairways hit and gir for a particular round. That was a very helpful feature. Not sure why it was removed? Also, why does the image of the hole not load automatically? You have to manually hit the button the see the layout for the hole? Now, once you enter the score it stays on the same hole instead of automatically advancing to the next hole. App was great! Don’t reinvent the wheel.

Do not support this company. As a manager at a golf course, I feel completely compelled to express my deep frustration and disappointment with this platform. After a long period of issues, we’ve made the difficult decision to sever ties and walk away from this company for good. This platform has consistently undercut our tee times, they sell them at a fraction of their value, while we receive no compensation when golfers book through them. To make matters worse, they have been known to remove our own tee times in favor of their own bookings, causing significant disruption to our operations and our ability to serve golfers properly. This is unacceptable. What has been even more infuriating is their disregard for our scheduling, especially when we close the course for events or tournaments. Despite us being unavailable, they continue to accept bookings, forcing us to turn golfers away and leaving us in an incredibly awkward position. We’re left scrambling to explain to frustrated golfers why their reservations are no longer valid—an explanation that makes us look unprofessional, when in reality, we are the ones being taken advantage of. Their customer service is an absolute joke. Both we and our golfers have experienced nothing short of frustration trying to get support or a refund. It’s nearly impossible to resolve any issues with them, and unfortunately, if you book through them, we as a course cannot issue a refund or provide assistance. This creates a huge burden on us and leaves golfers angry and confused. In short, we are beyond disappointed. This company has made our job harder, tarnished our reputation, and caused unnecessary stress for both us and our golfers. We’re relieved to be ending this partnership, and we will never recommend or support this platform again

Different. I’ve had this app for years and use weekly. It saved (past tense) me a lot of money in the past. Now it seems it’s just a booking app. I’ve found if I just call the course and reserve a tee time it’s cheaper. No fees and cheaper rate. Very disappointing. A phone call is way more convenient than perusing through an app which is significantly slower than in the past. Hot deals aren’t as plentiful and have to be book out days in advance. Which unless you are retired and have no plans for a week is not convenient. And this began before COVID-19 golf craze so that’s not the reason. This app was awesome but not so much anymore. I’ll give 3 stars based on the past.

Terrible!. Tried to use this app. Several times without success. Can’t register(error messages). Booked through the website successfully, and immediately contacted by the course and told they were having an outing and couldn’t honor our tee time. No problem....we pushed our tee time to after the outing. Golfnow cancelled our reservation and then called to let me know about the mistake. Believe me....it’s easier to deal directly with the course and find coupons for discounts. Big thumbs down.

Not Like it use to be. I have somewhat lost interest in using GolfNow due to the rewards program. The subscription rewards program is not like it use to be. For with the old version, you were able to track your rewards points easier. This new version is difficult to track and I am contemplating whether or not to renew my subscription. In addition to the aforementioned concerns, you were limited on how to use your rewards. In my humble opinion, the rewards program needs to be revamped to a simple set up and eliminate how and when the subscriber can use their rewards points. Just food for thought.

Feels Sketchy. Every time I try to book say a hot deal someone else has booked before me. Okay, cool right well why do I have to get a charge on my card? The other thing is if fails to let me book the system should know that tee time isn’t available so why even be there for me to select. Once it fails the booking falls off and you can’t book. However, if you close the app and go back it is right back there for you to “try again” and it will continue to take your money. I would be weary and ensure if this happens to you that you make sure you’re truly refunded. This also seems like a really poor way of booking keeping having so many pending transactions as a company. For the user just make sure you don’t get scammed.

Useful app but buggy when trying to use discount codes. I like the app for booking T-times, but it’s really difficult to use the rewards as you have to back out of the reservation screen to get to your reward codes. It should not be this hard to use rewards that you’ve earned. Honestly thinking about not renewing my premium membership due to how hard they make it to redeem rewards on this app. Also when looking up you codes, it still lists old expired codes so you have to search for the ones that are still valid. They must be doing this on purpose to discourage members from using the rewards.

What happened to split booking??. My one issue with the app is that they removed the ability to split the booking/round fee with friends. Why is that? Could you please bring that back? Otherwise, there’s no benefit to booking through the app vs through the actual courses. After the convenience fees are factored in, you’re paying the same as you would at the course. Some courses, it’s actually cheaper to pay in person/book over the phone. Bring back split booking!

Nothing but positive.. I’ve been using the app for a few years now, and have appreciated incredibly good deals. I average twice a month, and play in central CT. If you are like me, and get bored with the same course, this is a great way to find new scenery at a great price. Tip: when arriving in the clubhouse to check in, and the guys ahead of you are swiping their card for $50 each, DO NOT mention you paid $19 booking through the app the night before...they hate that, and it puts the pro shop cashier in an awkward position. 😂😎

Hit or miss. I’ve had the app for about 2 years. When the app is fictional it’s great. My problem the last 6 months or so is how glitchy the app is. It either shows open tee times but are gone once I select them or I’m not able to select a tee time at all. Shows me tee times but won’t let me click on them. Ive deleted the app and re downloaded it I’ve updated to the latest version that was suppose to address the glitches but still nothing. Super frustrating. I just call the courses now or walk in.

UPDATE: Broken Login workaround. UPDATE: I was able to workaround the issue by creating/logging into my account using a desktop browser. Once the password was reset, I was then able to successfully log in using the app. —— I had been getting a failed workflow message when attempting to log in. The message suggested a password reset but the reset email never arrived. I set up a new account but then a tiny web view window opens up telling me I have to change my privacy choice but the window is too small to see or select them. (iPhone 16 Pro Max iOS 26.4)

Local GC>GolfNow. It rained halfway through our round. The back nine is easily the best part of the course. When we came in, the pro shop offered a rain check, but once their system saw our tee time was booked through GolfNow, they said we’d have to contact GolfNow instead. GolfNow was only able to offer a prorated refund and could not issue a rain check to return to the course. Unfortunately, the customer service GolfNow can provide is nowhere near what a local course can offer directly. The GolfPass+ membership does deliver solid savings, but unless GolfNow changes its policies, its customer service will never match the flexibility and responsiveness of booking with a course directly.

Great app and company. I’m a VIP member thanks to a promotion they ran a few months ago and I will definitely be renewing. I’ve saved a ton of money and the deals and Reward points have allowed me to play several courses I couldn’t otherwise afford. It’s extremely convenient- I just woke up with an urge to play golf and found a tee time two miles away at a good price. And there were many more options. The couple of times that I’ve called customer service have been impressive— very friendly and they seem to bend over backward to help.

App has gone downhill. Besides not being able to see golf course reviews, the app itself has become super glitchy. Example: It’s stalling on a course that I have a tee time set at, for which I am trying to expand the tee time number. But it’s giving me an error message when I try to pull it up. Other courses work but not this one. Also, a course I booked recently mentioned only the 10$ reservation fee, but when I booked the course I was charged for the entire tee time immediately. Not a big deal but I’d like to know before I am charged. Mind you, I’m paying the extra fee for the “golf pass plus” membership but that doesn’t fix the bugs

Needs work. The app is not bad. There are some improvements that need to be made to adhere to what I would call device specific features. Some UI and UX clean up to make things more clear to the user. Also it would be nice to be able to compare multiple times and prices ex. Having a scratch pad so I can have a list of my selections in one view to help me make a better decision. Would also be nice to have a more clearly defined tab structure to help me navigate through the app more seem less. Would also be nice to have a way to view my times in a card view versus list view and a map view option so I don’t have to constantly go back around forth but more general radius view etc

Deceptive User Flow. When booking standard tee times through the GolfNow app, users are shown a final confirmation screen where they can review details, apply discounts, and confirm the reservation before payment is processed. However, when booking a “Hot Deal” tee time, selecting the “Book Now” button immediately completes the purchase without presenting the same confirmation step or clearly displaying the key terms of the transaction. Most importantly, the app does not adequately disclose at the point of purchase that: 1) Hot Deal reservations are non-refundable to the original payment method. 2) If canceled, the refund is issued only as GolfNow account credit. 3) That credit can only be used toward future Hot Deal bookings. This creates a materially different transaction experience from standard bookings and does not provide a reasonable opportunity to review these restrictions before committing payment. There are numerous similar complaints publicly documented describing the same issue, which suggests this is a systemic design problem rather than an isolated misunderstanding.

Unbelievable and not in a good way. Just recently added this app and the first time I used it I accepted an invite from a friend. I was charged a couple of bucks for the service. No big deal. However the day we were to play something came up and we were unable to make it. A week later I received an email saying I was being charged $65 because we didn’t make it and GolfNow was collecting on behalf of the Avery Ranch course in Austin Tx. Checked my bank and the funds had already been withdrawn. Keep in mind I did not add a card on my app and was not a member of their service. They snatched my money from the card I used for the service charge payment. Deleting this app having my bank reverse the charges and will never play that course again.

Great app. Saves me money. Had an issues at a course where they canceled my tee time and wouldn’t refund my money. Guy at the course was a jerk. Golf now took care of it even though the guy at the course wouldn’t talk to them on the phone. I think golf courses are not understanding how to use Golfnow. Better training for them would fix the few issues I have. Me I love golf now and have been using it for years. Even though I’m a paid me never now I never did receive my free golf balls.

Wow awesome app, MONEY SAVER. Buying the golf pass was the best thing I’ve ever done , I’ve got to play courses that normally charge 50$ a round for literally 8$ a round , I’ve gotten rounds for under $30 at resort golf courses . I can’t express how much of a good deal the golf pass is . I also got $40 to TAYLOR MADE . Ended up getting 3 packs of new golfs balls for $3 dollars shipped to my house also got a year membership to peacock for free . It’s a no brainer if you golf get the app buy the pass you’ll get your moneys worth almost immediately

GolfNow no longer needed. I wasted 20 minutes trying to figure out why I could not spend my rewards points that I earned. The reason I use Golf Now is because of the rewards system. Otherwise I can buy my local Golf Card and save money in my area. I take clients out for rounds and I rarely know which days we will go out until 48 hours before. It’s called Golf NOW, not Golf Three Days From Now In An Unknown Time. But now I noticed that policy changes have been made. You could only use them 3 days in advance. This no longer works for me now. Which means Golf Now is no longer a necessity for me to use. I might as well book another app or 3rd party or call the pro shops that actually matches the price of Golf Now. I used to use this app every time but look like I will go buy our local " 2 year golf card" for $90 that literally drops our rates in half. That's double the value of GN's $99 1 year VIP membership. I will plan a round out in advance and use my last rewards and be done I guess. It's been great GN. Also, please figure a way for the VIP membership to be actually worth it. You would have to golf like 25 rounds a year just to break even on the deal. Add something worth it.

Bug causes review details to be deleted when uploading a picture. I have been using GolfNow for many years and today was the first time that I wanted to upload a picture that I had taken at the golf course that I played last week. I entered my individual ratings in the categories and wrote a detailed commentary. I wanted to upload a picture to show the condition of the greens at this golf course and when the upload completed the entire review was wiped out. There has to be some kind of bug that causes this but I am not going to attempt this review until I see a fix applied.

Criminal promotions - DO NOT BOOK HOT DEALS. The company refuses to provide a refund for any “hot deal” reservations. I had to cancel my reservation because I tested positive for COVID. I cancelled my reservation five days prior to the tee time. They refused to provide me with a refund and offered an account credit. However, the account credit can only be applied to other promotional “hot deals”. Regular non-promotional reservations require you to pay at the course, which doesn’t allow you to apply the credit. You have six months to use the credit. I live in Maryland, so the weather is suitable for golf for half the year. I received the credit in September, so it will likely expire before I can use it. After speaking with several customer service members, they refused to provide me with a refund. They told me that they will extend the credit if I’m unable to use it, but have not received any confirmation that they will honor that request. Any reasonable golf course would provide a refund on pre-paid reservations if you cancel five days beforehand. Now I’m forced to find another promotional reservation or I’m out $100.

When it works it’s great, customer service is not great. This app is awesome and I love it. However, it’s only worked for me a handful of times. There reached a point where anytime I went to reserve a tee time I would get the message that “it is not longer available”. After this happening several times I would call the clubhouse directly to check and they would say the time that GolfNow said was unavailable is still available. The most frustrating thing is I have reached out to the email they provided to try and resolve the issue and have gotten zero response. I want to keep using this awesome app but clearly the owners don’t prioritize customer service if I can’t even get an AI generated response to my question. Please owners, if you see this, please do something. Thanks.

Use to find aggregated availability not for booking. I’ve long used this app for easily aggregating and seeing what’s available near me across courses as well as get reviews. I’ve avoided booking directly on it however to not incur fees you could otherwise avoid by booking with the course direct. I finally booked through it anyways the other day, then had to cancel due to covid and it was a hassle as expected. Got a credit back for GolfNow not returned to card, but no way to actually use that balance when checking out for my next outing so I had to book again using new credit card funds and a balance remains on my account. Lesson learned stay direct with course.

The worst golf app around. There is ALWAYS an issue with this app. Too many times you’re trying to book a round & it locks in the payment processing or it tells you the URL is unavailable, and you end up missing the desired tee time you wanted. It’s not just me, I know a few people that have had this happen to. The other thing, I’ve been charged for rounds I attempted to reserve, only to not have the rounds reserved, which isn’t that big of an issue, but just try to get a refund....!!!! Their customer service people are just as bad..! Not helpful in ANY WAY..! And many of the courses themselves have complained about this service!! I’d avoid this app altogether & book directly through the course! I wish I could give it ZERO STARS...that’s essentially what it’s worth.

Not bad but not good.. I have used Golf Now for years and have had pretty good success with it. Many courses are charging the same price but with out any extra charges lately. There is one major problem with Golf Now. About 3 or 4 years ago (it’s been so long I forgot how many years) our daughter bought us a gift certificate for $200 as we were going away on our anniversary. When we arrived at our destination we were unable to use the credits. She spent hours on the phone trying to fix the problem. After 3 years we still have never received the money in our account or refunded. She finally got through to a manager that said it was all set but now we could only use it on Hot Deals. The next day we tried to use GN for hot deals and it didn’t work. My daughter was back on the phone for probably the fifth or sixth time in 3 years and spent another two and a half hours with no results. She is out $200 and we never were able to use our anniversary present. NOT GOOD. Now I go out of my way to not use GN and mention this issue to all of my friends that golf.

Golf Now. PLEASE DONT EVER USE GOLF NOW! Go directly to the course for your T times. Their rules and conditions are hidden, not clear and ridiculous. The necessary booking fees should make the site and the service they offer flexible. GolfNow is completely inflexible Their cancellation policy is tricky and unclear at best but more accurately it's just deceptive. They will post large charges to your credit card. When there is dissatisfaction with their terms and service, they will hide their contact information. At best, they offer silly credits that can be used for a limited selection of golf courses on on days and hours only retirees can use. This is not the way to treat paying customers. They are thieves. Delete the app, delete the website and get your T times directly from the golf course.

Weather insurance is a fraud!!!. Golf now is a great app as long as courses around you are on it. But, do not fall for any of their add ons. I just played a round where I booked their weather insurance because it looked like questionable weather for the weekend. Needless to say, got through 2 holes before it proceeded to rain for 5 hours. Golf course said it’s all with golf now. Golf now says it’s the weather insurance I paid EXTRA for. And sensible weather has scammed me out of my money and I’m out $90 for the round now. Sensible weather said that the rainfall didn’t meet their requirements to issue a refund and the course is literally under water from the rain yesterday. So what is the requirement for a shady insurance company to give someone their money back is now my question? And be warned. Golf now will never give you a refund on a round I’ve had a couple rain outs before and golf now will never give you your money back so that’s why I got the insurance. My recommendation. Wait till day of to ensure you will get the round in. Or find the course you want to play and go book through their website for the same price and cut out golf now all together.

Good until it isn’t. Tried to cancel in advance to bad weather. Per GolfNow policy tee time can be cancelled 24+ hours in advance with no charge. When cancelling in the app I continued to get an error message (‘5151’). When I went online, same thing. Some online threads said try to contact the course and cancel through them. I reached out but they said I needed to cancel through GN. So back I go looking for a customer service number. All I see is that chat is available from 8am-5pm EST. Well it’s after 9am est and chat is still not open. Once inside the 24 hour window (too late for a refund) it let me cancel no problem. Just without a refund. Screw this company/app. There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Disputed the charge and will be deleting this app!

Explore local golf, easy booking, all in one place. It’s good to explore golf around you. Booking is super easy and works well when arriving at the course. Years ago, I was calling different courses, hearing word-of-mouth, and while that does sound nice, it’s so much easier to find available tee times and book just a day or two ahead of time—and same day! Downsides, I’m still not sure how to best use my rewards, and not all “Hot Deals” are actually deals when you check course websites directly.
