Already on my 27 inn!!. This game is WAY BETTER than Game Dev (I still love Game Dev Story though). This game was quite not amusing, until I got a bit further into the game and it's was BETTER THAN AMAZING!!! I love the modern/antique Japanese theme of the inns. It's worth buying non like those other games that cost $5.99 or $9.99.

Just as addicting, not as fun. I'd say that this game is more addicting, but somehow less fun than Game Dev Story. The premise is probably what causes me to say it is less fun— I dunno about you, but Japanese bath houses aren't exactly something I'm enthusiastic about. HOWEVER, the game is simply too addicting to lose my interest. If you loved Game Dev Story, this should be an insta-buy— it feels very similar, and has the same addictive power. It just has a unusual premise to most Americans.

It's okay. It's not great I got it when it was 3.99$ so I feel a little gipped, it's okay if you want kinda a mindless game, it really doesn't take a lot of skill, but just because some people who can't figure it out it doesn't mean it's not good, it just means they aren't smart enough to figure out a game that a 8 year old could

This is how games should be!. I absolutely love this game (and have been getting other kairosoft games too!) My girlfriend and I bought this and we're addicted to it! It's not one of those silly mindless games like tiny tower or those repetitious games where you keep playing the same thing just to hit different achievements. This is game is a LEGIT GAME. the developers put a lot of thought in it and it is at once simple and difficult! By that I mean this: you are introduced to the basics of managing a spa but there are a lot of things such as building combinations, item and building combinations, etc. that you have to figure out yourself in order to make your spa better (and get higher score). And it's really satisfying when you unlock something after various trials and error -- which also gives this game a GREAT REPLAY VALUE! DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE LACK OF REVIEWS: I suspect there isn't as much reviews because not once while playing this game was I bombarded with notifications asking me to rate the game. (But hey, look at the ratio between 5 and 1 stars for those who bothered to review!) It is a little bit pricey, but i've bought hundreds of apps and none beats the price/value of this game! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great App. This app is so much more involved and will keep me busy for a long time. Really great game !!! I would like to be able to rotate in all directions and move already purchased objects to a new location. Other than that I love this app.

Help me!. For some reason my game won't work! I try to open the app and it shows me this long message in another language and then the screen goes black! I was really far in the game too! I don't understand what happened I love this game!

Large Tub. First of all this is my favorite game app. For the people who is trying to get the large tub. What I did is got 1st place on all magazines. Then I invested in a chimpanzee. I got pass year 30 and I realize there are many more things I don't know about this game XD.

Not as good as Game Dev but extremely close.. This game is just as addicting as Game Dev Story. However, it is a bit more complex, but it still has that fun in it. It's also very similar to Game Dev. I would recommend this game if you loved Game Dev. I bought this game on the first day it came out. I was probably the first to buy it, haha. But anyway, I highly recommend this game.

Very addicting ♪(´ε｀ ). When I started the game I was already hooked. It was just so fun for some reason! After a while it can get boring at times, but an overall great game to pass the time.

It is such a GREAT game!!!. Hot Spring Story is a very addictive game. I have been playing this game ever since i bought it! Hope the developer will bring more games to the iPhone!!! I really really hope the developer will bring their new games to the US store. They all look like so much fun!!!

Splendid. This game is incredibly complex and detailed. All of the interactions between different rooms and all of the customers are complex and detailed. I do recommend playing Game Dev. Story first, however.

Best Onsen App there is!. ★★★★★This was available before in Japanese only so I debated a long time whether to create a japanese account to buy the app but now that it's come out in English, I am sooo super happy and ecstatic. There are no other onsen (hot springs) games available that I searched at all~! Even in Japanese~ So this is by far the best and only one out there that really makes you feel like the hostess of many 'ryokan' residents who are tired from work/life and want a vacation at your inn! 　　　　Don't be fooled by the simple, cutesy graphics too, the game is far more complex than I expected and it may make you want to restart the game from the beginning on a fresh new data file in order to make your onsen the best and efficient it can possibly be. There is no 'put into inventory' function if you want to remove something placed in your inn. You basically must destroy something first in order to refurbish the place. Which is somewhat realistic but at the same time, a loss of money. For those who enjoy these simulation strategy managing games, it is a challenge that is fun and exciting and tickles your mathmatical brain. 　　　　And if you've never been to a japanese hot springs in real life, I highly recommend it!! 　d(ﾟ∀ﾟd)　＜two thumbs up!＞ すごく楽しいわ～！

Not their best, but still good. This was one of kariosoft's earlier games, and while it's perfectly fine, it's nowhere near as good as other recent games. This one gets repetitive after a while and there isn't a ton or variation in your spa amenities. I recommend hotel story for a similar mechanic better executed

Worth the price!! seriously!. I was skeptic at first when i saw this game because it looks like just some farmville, but gave it a try. BOOM!!! this game was indeed a really good game, can't describe it in words all I can say is that you wont regret paying for it. It also has this retro BG music and feel that just hits you on the spot :)))

A Little Unusual. This, the second Kairosoft game to make it to iOS, is certainly fun, if not a bit unusual. In it you run a spa, or hot resort, in a slightly similar style to Sim City in object placement, but different in almost every other way. I've seen some people complain that it gets boring quickly and you are left with little to do. While the action is more dispersed later in the game with new opportunities popping up much less frequently, mostly through leveling up the huge variety of visitors who allow new investment and such, it can still be quite enjoyable to play, especially if you listen to a podcast, audiobook, music or the like while you do so. My big gripe with this game is that it doesn't have Game Center integration. All of the Kairosoft games are perfectly suited to have online leaderboards and acheivments.

Cheap and buggy. Not worth $2 or your time. Ignore this shoddy game.

Update please!. I love this game and I played it about a year ago on my old iPod and now I got it on the iPod 5 and the screen is small. And it would be nice to add more stuff in the game. I did the last expansion land deed and it feels like it's still too small. More items would be great like more room types and more stores. More trees would be good too!

So Cuteee!. This game is adorable && sooo addicting!!! This past week we've been taking the CASEE && I always finished like an hour early && turned my iTouch on to play this wonderful game<3 It's so cute && fun && I'm buying the Game Dev Story, too, && any other one that comes out like it! Amazing Game. I usually don't write a review but I had to for this.... I absolutely love this game. The graphics are fun and the gameplay is enticing. Definitely worth 4 bucks. I wish there were more games like this in the app store

Flawed but still good. Reviewed 1/7/19 on an iPhone 7 The flaws are too insignificant to warrant taking off one star. This is my first Kairosoft game. It can be played in both portrait and landscape mode, with automatic rotation (a setting can lock rotation). There is an option for a game pad, but it’s probably unneeded for modern phones. Controls are still smooth, despite the age. The mouse cursor is irritating and can not be removed, but it’s a small flaw and can be useful for selecting facilities that are hidden by other facilities. This game has aged well. It’s flawed and hasn’t been updated in two years, but it still runs smoothly (and a little warm, which is strange considering it’s 7 or 8 years old). The menus don’t feel cramped either. The gameplay is fun and relaxing. One of my favorite aspects of the game is that you can play as casually as you want. You don’t have to maximize profits or configure rooms using expo sheets, but you still can (and that would be a hefty amount of work, too). There is still no 360° rotation. There are only some facilities that can rotate at all, and even then, there are only two directions to rotate. Regardless, people can walk through some walls (but not others). So it becomes a matter of figuring out which rooms open where. Be careful when considering this, as some facilities have doorways that seem like walls. This game is complex but slow. I find that relaxing, as watching people happily filter in and out is interesting to me. However, while it can be a micromanagement game, the micromanagement isn’t constant. You will have to wait for money to fill from time to time. If you need a continuous experience, consider getting another Kairosoft game. People undergo a variety of activities based on how many facilities you put down, so the animations are not uninteresting. You can tell they’re old, however, as they aren’t as fluid as modern pixel game animations, including the studio’s newer games. I have yet to find a bug in the game. It hasn’t crashed yet either. I’m assuming the “glitches” people are complaining about are how customers can walk through walls. It’s not a bad bug, if it’s even a bug. Better that than have you constricted by one or two entrances when placing facilities. At least this “bug” somewhat makes up for the lack of rotation. The music is repetitive, but the sound effects aren’t annoying. You can lower the volume or mute both of them, if you want to listen to your own music. For an old title, the menu system is surprisingly user friendly. I find the double tap to confirm feature is a good feature and a necessary one, as placement can be inaccurate. The movement of new facilities is pretty simple and easy. People complain about the fact that you must destroy a facility (you can’t simply move it). I don’t find it annoying at all, as it’s still relatively quick to get rid of something. I guess redesigning can become a chore, in which case it’s easier to start over. That’s what some reviewers mean by “replay value”. If you find yourself uncomfortable with a design and you don’t want to bother redesigning, it’s much easier to start over. I haven’t done this yet, but supposedly some stats and unlocks carry over into new game plus. A solid experience with minimal flaws, all considering. I was surprised and pleased that this game went beyond my expectations. Please don’t be deterred by the age, lack of updates, or reviews; as the flaws may not be nearly as bad as they seem and the game still plays very smoothly. If I continue to be impressed, I will buy another Kairosoft game. (It’s not optimized for iPhone X though. I know because the last update was from before the iPhone X came out.)

I loved Game Dev Story so I bought this.... At first, I hesitated to buy this because I was unsure of what would be incorporated in this app. I thought it would some rip off of Game Dev. But to be honest, it is very far from GDS. That is a great thing! You don't want two of the same games. Hot Springs Story reminded me of playing Roller Coaster Tycoon more than anything. The premise is that you are creating a hotel, try to get people to come to your hotel. You have a spa (of course), a restaurant, and a pachinko center. One big step up from GDS is the use of the screen. You don't look at the same screen the entire time. I would invest money into this app. I have been playing for a month now. It is well worth it. No complaints either. :D

Best Game Yet!!. Hot Springs Story is the most addicting game on the planet for me!! I love it!! If you are interested in any sort of buisness field, this game is sure to trigger your thinking cap! It's not one of those games that if you do one thing, it rewards you. No, you have to actually TRY. For all those people that love thinking, this is the game for you! I'm warning you, this game is extremeley addicting. Much more complex than any other game you waste 99 cents for, this game's worth the money. Big time. Fan Letter. LOL. This is one of the best of their games, just like a real hotel and I wish the orices were a little lower but wat ever these games are all fun, but like always it takes a little time to get the hang of the game I recommend this game to everyone.

Cute and good fun. It's a super cute game honestly and it's supplied me with plenty of entertainment. The graphics are adorable and it's so fun to build a hot springs from the ground up, it definitely keeps you entertained for five hours or so. I highly recommend if you like games where you build your own business.

Worth It. I give four stars because i have yet to try everything it has to offer in game. Really fun and starting to be worth the buy its getting more challenging with the new features in a good way. now unfortunately i want to buy another pocket app. fun addicting nice app

What iOS games should be. Kairosoft is 2 for 2 with the release of this awesome game. I loved Game Dev Story, but was hesitant to buy this title because of the hotel/spa theme -- didn't really seem very exciting or interesting. Boy, was I wrong. There is so much depth in this game that it will take several play throughs to see/do everything. This is an easy to learn, hard to master game. You can skate by with broad strokes of management and still be very successful in the game, or you can micromanage the crap out of everything and do even better. It always suprises me on how the most basic of games can be the most entertaining. Leave it to the Japanese to make a game that may not look graphically superior, but concentrates on what matters: FUN. BUY this game if: You appreciate a well developed, well constructed, stable game. You miss the days when gameplay trumped graphics (8-bit FTW!). You have always wanted some depth in a game on your iDevice. DO NOT BUY this game if: You don't like to actually engage your brain to play games on your phone. You're content with flinging birds at pigs over and over again. You're looking for something "pretty" to show off to your friends. TL:DR Great game! Easy to learn, hard to master. Always fun.

Good game but still plenty more to improve. I love this game, good graphic, creative gameplay, however, it gets kind of boring after a while. The game will be fun if you guys add the ability to upgrade rooms, hire people, more items, and more game modes. You guys can also add different events to make the game more interesting, for example, a disaster that damage the inn, or a sudden boom in number of customers come to the inn and so on. Customers should also know how to be disappointed, so we have to keep looking out for the inn. I look forward for a big update as well as other games.

Great Game. Lots of fun. Needs to support app switching. I really enjoyed playing this one. It doesn't take long to get into and it's very addictive. I was super disappointed when I couldn't expand my property anymore. The only real gripe I have against this game is that you have to reload the entire game over again ever time you switch to another app. It gets really annoying if you get a phone call in the middle of playing because then you lose anything that wasn't saved. The autosave helps, but it's still not the best setup. Maybe in a future update? Pocket Academy doesn't have this problem, so it should be easily fixable. Overall very fun. Can't wait for more Kairosoft games. Please release 開店デパート日記 in the US store soon!!!!

I've already played Game Dev. Story.. When I saw this game at the first, I just decided to buy this game, because I've played Game Dev. Story, which was developed by Kairosoft. And finally I noticed that I'm addicted to this game again.

High Replay Value. What I love best is how creative you can be when building your hot spring resort. I've played this game through a dozen times and I'm still not bored. Fans of anime will adore constructing an authentic onsen, but you don't need to be a Japanophile to have a good time. Buy it, you won't be disappointed! 

Now optimized for IPhone 5!. Nice to see Kairosoft updating their apps to work with newer models! You wouldn't know it based off their app updates which usually only say bug fixes, but they have been going back and updating older games.

Probably the Best "Hotel" Tycoon Game in the App Store!. Just recently, I've seen a ton of modern "tycoon" type apps in the app store, and to be honest, they're a pain to play. Most of those games revolve around you waiting in real life time for simple things to actually happen. They also make you pay real money just to actually enjoy the cool stuff. This game is the holy grail of Hotel Tycoon games. In Springs Story, there's never spending real life money on things, construction of rooms and entertainment take seconds, and the gameplay speed is balanced enough that you'll enjoy it for hours on end. Pros: -Likable Nintendoish graphics -Never loads, gameplay is smooth -Difficulty factor is actually challenging -Very Addicting Gameplay Cons: -Just starting the game provides very little customization options -Rotation of items is only provided for the hot springs -Music can be a little monotonous Overall, Hot Springs Story is definitely an awesome app. It's not exactly the same formula as Game Dev Story, but it's definitely worth a try if you're a fan of Tycoon type games! Highly reccomended!!

$0.99!!!. I really wanted this game but it was $4.99! I'll probably pay $1.99 at the most. But when the sale came out. BOOM. I bought it as quickly as I can. And if course I love it! All the graphics and stuff are great! But I wish the days were longer. But other than that it was over whelming. Get this game before the sale is gone. Trust me, you won't regret it. You should also get Dungeon Village if you like RPG.

Definitely worth it.. Hot Springs Story is completely different from Game Dev Story in terms of gameplay, but the simulation foundation is the same. HSS is a lot more in depth though. I got this for $1.99. Way better than most games... Entertaining, addictive, and looong. If you liked GDS, get this. It's just as awesome, albeit more confusing.

Fun at first but gets boring quickly. This is more of a sim city style game, as opposed to a sally's spa type. At first, it was fun trying to unlock the various "investments" and buy upgrades for your spa. However, that quickly ended. I'm no longer offered new investments and there are no new items in the shop to buy. Now what is there to do? Just try to raise your ranking in the spa guide? Pretty boring. Too bad. It had potential but did not pan out. Not to mention, the music is extremely annoying.

Kairosoft. I have bought other "stories" in the past, and saw this on sale; it was a must buy. Kairosoft delivers a charming throw back to the retro ages. With it's unique design, traits, bonus items, it's well worth it. Great Game, A must have for iPhone.

FUN!!. I bought this game because the lite version of this was SOOOOO FUN!!! but I'm a little scared that after I finish this WHOLE entire game that I won't be able to reset it to play again and the $3.99 was a waste of money. So I was asking if you guys could make a reset button so I could play FOREVER and won't have to waste $3.99.

Few Ideas For The Developers. I absolutly love this game, its sooo much fun! But I have some Ideas/questions: 1. Why does the game stop? As you can play it forever, why does the story-mode stop after some time? It doesn't really change anything, does it? 2. My BIGGEST issue: why can't you expand for ever??? That would be soooo much more fun! You gather more and more money, but you can't really invest it anymore towards the end, thats sad! Maybe you could bring an update which changes that? I'd be sooo grateful! 3. It'd be cool, if there was a statistic like in the "game developement story", where you cam see what type of customers you attract and can use specific marketing to target them. 4. Great Game!!. Absolutely love this game, very addicting but I wish there were more stuff to buy and add I bought everything so quick :/ . Would be cool if there were rooms for special vip or you could adjust the price to your liking and more people to reserve. Game was fun while it lasted worth the money.

Its time consuming so be prepared. I am a sim kind of person and this game was perfect for me to play with. I wasted a good two days on this game and got the monkey to come to my resort. All and all, it was worth the 3.99 to support a Japanese based app developer, thanks!

Fantastic!!!!!!!. I like this one the best and i bought two other games i need the other two!!!! I think you guys are the best and maybe can make a game like running a movie theater or something close. :)

Great game. This game is similar in feel to game dev story, but layout / building related, think sim city, thus a bit more tangible than building games like in game dev story. If you want to be building something tangible you'll probalby like this more than game dev story. If you don't mind a slightly more abstract mechanic game dev story will likely be better. That said, they are both light hearted sim games so if you like one, you'll like the other. I just wish the app was universal (worked natively on ipad).

Disappointing but not terrible. Clumsily ported from the PC. Building is awkward, failing to use touch controls. Little instruction is given early on, making you more likely to fail (as opposed to Game Dev Story, which guided you at the beginning). Fun game after you figure it out on your own. Not worth the full $5. Wait for a sale.

Very Addicting. I didn't expect much at first, but the game turned out very entertaining and I became hooked. Creating a hot springs resort and watching how the different characters react is very fun. This game is definitely a must own.

Game Dev Story was awesome and I spend countless hours playing that game over and over again, this time Kairosoft has done it once again with another Simulation title - Hot Spring Story, not only it is as addictive as the last game, this time with a lot of improvement on gameplay, playing the game has become more strategic, every spare minute I have is spend playing this game.

Good But Inferior to GDS. After all the media hype, you can tell that this is just another good game as expected from this amazing developer, Kairosoft. because it has already got so many reviews, I won't go over the minor details of game aspects. One of the let down in this game for me is that it doesn't remain as addictive as their previous masterpiece, Game Dev Story. It did get me hooked for some time, but not for long. The main problem here is there isn't much progression even after the tenth year. Every month feels like just another day. But it did get me absorbed into this game for a few hours. Yup, a few hours, maybe two to three before I got a little bored. But I've spent about 10+ hours with GDS, which makes a huge difference. Some improvements over GDS include better touch support and two save slots for more users. Although this isn't as good as the previous title, it's still a fantastic buy. But I should warn you that unless you don't mind getting sucked your iDevice battery and a part of your life, you shouldn't get it. And yeah, I'm waiting for Game Dev Story 2. ^.^

Awesome. I luv this game the time goes so fast when I play it the only bad thing is that u can't move items once their put down apart from that this is a fabulous game I recommend it to everyone :)

Great depth. Really fun game, exactly what I was looking for to play on the iPhone. Reminds me of good old times I had with harvest moon. I just hope that the devs know that releasing a great game is only a start, it needs to have good support, so I agree with other reviewers who are asking for updates! Can't wait for the next game, I'll definitely get it!!!

Is there anything they can't do?!. These guys bring out the best games on iPhone hands down! Game dev story was my fav game but I think I like this one even better. It's so fun. If you are unsure about spending the cash then download the lite version. I would be very surprised if after that you weren't rushing to the ap store to upgrade to the full version. So addictive. Can't wait to try pocket academy. Keep the games coming guys :) 

A blight on humanity. its too addictive for its own good. sucked away all of my free time. The Hot spring story is a lot more complex than the Game Dev story, in a way its a sim game. A dang good one.

Favourite. My favorite game! Hope it can improve to be better!

No multi-tasking?!. For real? This is a mobile game! You could play it for two hours, then get a text message, phone call or forget and hit the home button and all your work is undone. Seriously guys, this isn't 2009. Your other games have it, give us an update. Otherwise this is a good game, but not as good as Game Dev Story or Mega Mall Story.

4 stars. needs ability to move things around. it should cost to move things around. need ability to sell your rooms and such too. I'm always changing the looks of my spa whenever I get land deeds >< 5 stars when that happens. everything else is good :)

Bro - OK. Man, I regret buying this game for $5. It's a great simulation, don’t get me wrong. The problem is that it's really repetitive with the objectives and it gets boring really fast. I read so many good reviews which persuaded me to purchase it for $5. It would be better if there were more items to unlock and more different types of objectives. The graphics are good and the music as well. Controls aren't bad as well as you can use the touch feature or the pad. If you really are an addict of simulations, you will like this game, but if you only like to play simulations once it a while, it may disappoint. The max I would of paid it $2. Graphics: 3/5 Sounds: 3/5 Gameplay: 3/5 Controls: 4.5/5

Awesome....just Awesome. This game is really good as it actually gets you sucked in, unlike some other management games This game does have improvements though. Only improvement is to be able to zoom out more since it is really hard to keep moving around when you have filled all possible land, as well as zooming in should have better quality. Also the boring, watching bit.... it gets REALLY annoying. You should allow targets to have a larger timespan to do thing especially after 15 years because we have to make to decision go back to the beginning to get a better high score or continue with the fun of managing this fun hot springs! I SERIOUSLY think you should drop your prices to ~2.45AUD and make HEAPS more in this series/fashion........ Anyway, the main point is that this game is worth what it cost but quite pushing the "value". Overall Superb Game!

Mass Addiction. 1000 curses kairosoft for I had just managed to put "Game Dev Story" down and now you once again dominate my iPod touch with comforting electrobliss. The simple addictive interface of this game is without equal and is only matched by its simple, addictive charm. On a side note and after many hours of play however I will say that this game is more expansive than "game dev story" but also not as deep or as involved with much time being spent doing little that requires any real attention. Sadly, this game is lacking in any useful guide as well so most of what you do comes down to a stab in the dark. Now excuse me while I go and fiddle with my device.

Love this. Abso loved this game but feels like it just ended abruptly... For the money I am actually really disappointed that while it's a great game I find it hard to want to play again. With the rating it has received we should really be getting updates!! Playing it over again would be an idea if there was new content added!!

Just get the sequel. I’ve had this game since it was initially released and recently I have decided to play through all my kairosoft games. This one definitely has its bugs like the pond, the tea house never getting unlocked. Better to just get the sequel instead!

Fun but a little complicated. The overall experience is good but some of the items, facilities are hard to unlock...

BEST. KAIROSOFT. GAME. EVER. I love the idea of this game because it's so simple, and the combos are easy to identify. I love how it also gives us monthly or yearly competition. It makes the player want to better their hot spring. This is my first kairosoft game ever and purchased 3 more after this experience.

Suggestions. My suggestions are: Airline Story like Game Dev and Grand Prix build planes, and hire pilots. Music Story different from all your games. First you make your avatar then choose your genre. Features include: Write songs (obviously), make albums, get featured in songs, feature people is songs, make music vids, award shows, and build a studio and sign people to make money. Movie Studio Studio like Grand Prix and Game Dev but different just in features

What a waste thankfully was only $.99. Totally messed up. Can not open the menu, can not save. When you turn your ipad you lose half the screen, turn it back you have still lost half the screen. Unplayable.

Best game of the year!. I think that this game should win a game of the year award because of it's great plot and the fact that there are so many combinations you can make yourself also you could get so hooked to this game and that is ok because it NEVER ends! In my eyes this is the game of the year and the best game of the decade so far (may 13 2011)

Not worth the price. For 7$+ tax you'd expect more than just 3 expansion possibilities. The game is fun, yes, but not 7$ fun.

Fantastic :D. The game it self is such a good idea. The graphic is cute and it never never never ever ever crashes on me before. The icons are cute and the seasons changes from year-round. I would really recommend this game to players that like games wtih operating your own business. :D

Low replay value. Upgrades for the hotel is too small, expect a bigger expansion of the lot. More control of the environment, such as having all sides being accessible to the streets. Last but not least, have a new game please. I love the idea of these simulations.

Pure fun!. If you enjoyed Game Dev Story , then you'll definitely love this game. It looked like kairosoft, the developer of these games, took what they learned from Game Dev Story and applied them while making Hot Spring Story. This game has much more depth and different elements that results in much more variety! In a nutshell, this is one the greatest games ever made for the iPhone

Combo Breaker. Crazy addictive and fun game. But, there is no multitasking support, which makes answering texts while playing a major annoyance.

Amazeing!!!!!. It's got the most beautiful graphics I have ever seen!!! But it would be cool if there were more types of plants like palm trees or you could make sand ( so you can make beaches) and water!

Great game but I think there is a bug. I’ve played the game multiple times and spent many hours designing the “perfect” layout. But in recent replays, I found no matter what I do, Pond is not getting unlocked. I think there may be a bug after certain iOS upgrade. Considering the game is still selling at $6.99, the developer really should look into this. I couldn’t find any other way of providing feedback or having the problem solved, hence leaving a review here.

Incredible!. This game is extremely good. Similar to GDS but yet it is addicting in many more games. If you like games that the company releases stuff lots. This is not for you. But if you would rather have games that actually have a awesome retro look and have a great design unlike other crappy games then this game is so for you. Keep up the good work KairoSoft! Addicting. If you stayed up all night playing Game Dev Story, also made by kairosoft, then you'll probably find yourself doing the same for hotsprings story. Lots of new features, and cute retro graphics will keep you playing this over and over.

Best iOS simulation game yet. Compared to the game dev. story, this one is even better. There is a lot more complexity and the customers move. It's similar to roller coaster tycoon in one sense merged with a simpler version of sim city. The price is slightly high, but so far the game lasted much longer than game dev. story. The game keeps on flowing well with very brief alerts of events. Seasonality also keeps the game interesting.

Disappointed. I wish I didnt spend money on this, this game was confusing I couldn't figure out how to move or delete items or even delete a game file, it didn't explain anything. It also had poor graphics in my opinion.

Very addicting and fun. If you don't love japanese culture (or the Weeabos) this game is still fun for you. It's like a cafe world meets sim city and the sims rolled into one. Worth three dollars and a great way to pass the time.
