A Little Disappointed. I like the concept and even the interface isn't bad, HOWEVER, I am disappointed that there are only 568 short fact cards to read and then you have to buy more card packs. For the price I was expecting more. You should do updates and add free packs for those who purchased this app and then I would raise my rating.

Good app with some flaws. I find it easier to find information on the web, and the 80MB file size really turns me off.

OUTSTANDING App!!!. Geo Walk is definitely one of my favorite apps!!! I am learning a ton about people, inventions, places, history, animals, etc. Very unique, fun and educational app; BEAUTIFUL globe, graphics and photos and lots of great information!! Thank you.

Good-except. My child loves this app. She loves reading about various people, animals, and sights from around the world. Her complaint with this is when she tries to save a favorite, she clicks save and it saves it, but It isn't saved for the next time she opens the app. Very irritating.

Disappointing. To say this app offers very little information is a gross understatement. As another reviewer remarked, the information is not without errors. This is entirely unacceptable for any learning application. Lastly, for what you receive from this app, it is extremely overpriced. I like the layout, but sadly that's about the only positive remark I can offer. Add content please.

Not what I expected. But still a very informational app. I like their other apps starwalk and solarwalk better, but I think that's because I'm a bit of a space buff. This company makes some quality informational apps.

Not what I thought.... I thought this was going to have more information rather than short little factoids. Also the resolution is poor and You can tell it was written by a non native English speaker because some of the questions and statements are so awkwardly written you have no idea what they are trying to say. Nice idea, but I wish I wouldn't have bought it. 😒

Great for my homeschooling 10 year old.. I've been having a hard time getting my 10 year motivated to read. He loves this app! It is an excellent to way learn world geography, history, you name it!

Needs updates. Lethargic. Had to reinstall a couple times. Sound didn't work at first. Stalls a lot. Have to restart the app. Needs updates....

Parent of 8 year old. This is pretty cool. It could be improved by adding videos and ways to explore countries by name. A better zoom feature to pinpoint specific locations and the ability to search by typing in what you are looking for would help. We were looking for Pompay and couldn't find it. I look forward to some updates and will come back and up my rating.

Grammar Issues. Great picts and interesting facts...too many typographical and other tense/usage errors. Needs some clean-up!

If I could I would give it a zero.. I have purchased the additional cards and for 24 hours they were showing downloading. I have reinstalled the app and now the "add more crds" options are no longer available. I am hoping to get some help from the developer or I will have to consider it a big scam... I have just waited $2.99

Bland app not worth the money. Glitzy graphics with no substance. Descriptions of animals are superficial with just one static photo. It has less information than an encyclopedia, even Wikipedia offers more interesting information. Plus the locations are limited. I was expecting information that was local to the pacific northwest of theU.S.

Very cool!. App is Really cool. The NEWS function is really neat, reporting new happenings around the world. Can't wait to show it to my three year old. My only gripe is that some of the grammar, spelling and use of words is a little off. It's almost like a bad translation sometimes. One improvement for the developers would be to add a "audio" button, so that you can hear the descriptions as well as read them. Would make it Uber easy for kids to use. Probably unrealistic as it would make the app HUGE, but one can hope for future updates to include it.

Great educational app!. Although not perfect yet, Geo Walk HD is a wonderful app for getting children to learn about the huge and marvelous world that we live in! I do not have children of my own, but I let my friend's young son play with it and he had a really good time exploring the world, looking at the pictures, and taking the quizzes. I don't think that he read much of the text information, but just having a child take interest in different aspects of the world is great! For adults the app is also still entertaining, as there are a lot of things most of us do not know that our complex world has to offer. People who have watched Planet Earth of Life will understand what I am talking about. One downside to the app is that there is only so much information available, which means that it may not have a huge lasting appeal. Also, the file size if fairly large as well. Still recommended if you want to spend some time learning with your children.

World of wonders!. Being able to look around the Earth and zoom in on important places, animals, people or wonders of the world is just way cool. There's even a filter system so you can do specific searches. Everything works well and the illustrations are really high in definition.

Needs work. Nice idea, some nice photos, but the writing... Someone needs to proof this material. Typos, grammar and even spaces all need attention. Given the strong astronomy apps they make one has to wonder what happened.

Great.. It's like having a national geographic app on your iPhone with high definition pictures. Also contains a lot of information to make yourself seem smart around others. Definitely recommend.

A grammar check would help.. This is a nice app that is easy to use and figure out. Spin the globe and see what comes up.

Price not aligned with the value you get. It has very little info cards, it's like browsing through a souvenir card gondola. The price misleads you into thinking that your getting more value, it is not a $2.99 app. I also found a card labeled Eucalyptus that is clearly not an Eucalyptus tree, How many wrong cards are out there? (Hover over to Australia)

Please add more!. Also in the interest of accurate journalism please add "2011" to the dates of events that happened this year, as it's doubtful you will go back in the future to fix these. Please fix now and use proper dating to minimize confusion. Love this App

Amazing Education. When I started reading I couldn't stop reading because all of the things are so interesting.

NO Audio. At $2.99, one would expect audio, with the option for voice over with the fact cards, animal sounds, etc. This is a silent app, with vocabulary well beyond the average 10 year old. Would have been impressive in 2007. Dissatisfied.

Nature. This is a good learning experience for me. I love history and all that it has to offer. This is awesome!!!!!! Thanks a lot!!! Love the upgrades.

Awesome!!!. This is a great app that just keeps getting better! This is the app I use for a little downtime. I learn a lot of interesting facts and see beautiful photos. My grandchildren also really enjoy it. Initially I had a few problems with this app. The experts at Vito Technology got back with me within 24 hours to correct it. Impressive!

For enrichment. For a few bucks, this is definitely a bargain! You get to learn new things everyday. Updated facts. I just hope soon they make this interactive so kids will enjoy as well.

This is an atlas?. You call yourselves an Atlas? This app is riddled with incorrect information, starting with a photo of the Manhatten Bridge with info about the Brooklyn Bridge. Here's a hint - one of them is metal, the other is stone. Also, a lot of your information is written poorly. Consider hiring a native English speaker to clean it up - some of the science is way too dense for kids, and some of it is a total disaster, grammatically (see platypus).

Great app. I love this app so much . It helped me a lot in my studies and teaching . Only if you can create an augmented reality apps it would be great . thanks a lot !

Absolutely awesome- teacher approved.. My school kids wouldn't get off this app. I had to turn the IPAD off for the students to go to another science or SS app. Great one.

Geo walk. Geo walk is truly amazing! At first I wasn’t sure but now Ives learned so much about cool animals to the different caves and tunnels. I would recommend this game for children ages 27 and up!!! Only because there’s some things that aren’t age appropriate for 17 year olds!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic. This is the app you are looking for to use in your classroom the kids love it and are always asking to use it. I can not believe how much they have learned and retained from using this app. There is nothing else to say!

Geo Walk. Just purchased this to share with my grandson who has special needs and introduce him to the wonders of the world. Not user friendly. I was unable to get specific animals that he wanted to see, such as the zebras , sharks or giraffes ,when I typed it in the search bar. It appears to have a limited number of animals available to see and explore. There should be a way to adjust the volume as well as other features such as the ability to zoom in for those who have special needs such as poor vision. Would like a refund. Very disappointed! Also it would be nice to have a contact number to customer service and speak to a live human to express concerns . Please consider making educational apps that are appropriate for people with special needs.

Great pictures; decent facts. The app is entertaining and the pictures are good. However, the grammar and sentence structure are very poor. An app that sells itself as a type of encyclopedic reference should be vetted and/or reviewed fully before it is released to the public. However, that being said, it's still a fun little program to learn some random trivia or share with your kids.

Needs more meat on those bones. I like the other apps by this developer, so figured i would try this one, too. Well made and pretty to look at, but my kid is spending way more time flipping the globe around and glancing at pictures than she will ever spend reading the little articles about them. So it is nice as a picture show but I doubt she will learn much.

Cool Tool To Learn. I got this program and am incorporating it into my program for kids with special needs. Great interactive features to learn with!

Yes!. So, if you are looking to explore the world a little bit, quiz yourself, keep up with major historical events, and look cool in front of your friends (or really nerdy depending on your friends) this is the app for you. Basically, there are a few different "modes" (that's what the developers refer to them as) in this app. For example, one mode allows you to toggle a 3D globe, and then explore things indigenous to the region you decide to stop at. Another mode asks questions about historical events, figures, or people and then allows you to pick the correct answer via a multiple choice answer stem (which are different pictures). Importantly, the incorrect choices have an explanation and they allow you to keep choosing until you make the correct choice (which also has an explanation). Anyway, the other mode just gives you random pictures with an excerpt (but they don't show you the excerpt until you click the photo so you can kind of quiz yourself in this mode too). Anyway, if you like this app, I would recommend also getting Art Authority, 50 places, Star Walk, Louvre HD, Naturetap, and World Atlas. That way, you can pretty much explore the universe and everything in it....and, at the same time, be as cool as me.

Waste of money. Maybe useful as a car game? Icons hide the map, no exact locations given for the 500 different people, places, things. Minimal -and i do mean minimal - info given for each object. Who exactly gave this app all those 5-star ratings? Total waste of money.

Cool app!. It's really cool, but with everything there are mistakes from time to time. The one I found was of the wilis tower aka sears tower in Chicago, IL. The picture is of the John Hancock building. But the factoids were good.

Geowalk. Lovely app but wish it had audio so it could be accessible for children with dyslexia.

Refund please. I purchased this based on how good their other apps are and cant believe how awful this is. Obviously the first one they ever did. Don't buy it.. You will be dissapointed

A great App, but please add one feature. This is a fantastic app. It has a beautiful interface and is very handy for teaching my class. I downloaded another app with VGA adaptor support so I can project it through a data projector. This feature alone would definitely boost your sales. Especially with all the teachers out there.

Awesome. This is a very good educational app it can tell you a lot of things but they have not updated it lately and I would like to see some more inventions added to it but the amount of info it provides makes up for it keep up the good work guys :)

Suitable for a 6 year old. After buying star walk and solar walk from the same developer (the former being the best app I own) I would have to say that this app is a big let down. Utterly useless in my opinion and far from user friendly. It lacks substance and provides absolutely no educational value to an adult with even half a clue. In fairness, it is perhaps better suited to a six or seven year old.

Et pourquoi pas en Français?. Cette petite application permet de fouiner, d'explorer de façon parfois un peu trop aléatoire mais divertissante divers éléments culturels. Un lien nous mène directement à Wikipédia si on veut en savoir plus. Cette interface est un bijoux en devenir, à condition de créer une version française ET de regrouper des sujets reliés (ex: Égypte, Pharaons, Pyramides, Sphynx, Politique, Drapeaux si on veut couvrir en quelques éléments sans passer par le requin et les Beattles) À suivre de près...

Good price for what you get. Students love looking at the pictures and reading the info on this app. Visually, it's quite nice. However, it doesn't allow you to search for a specific animal or geographic item/location. You have to search for what you're looking for by spinning the globe. Overall, a nice app for $3 but could be sooooo much more!

Very fun. Educational and fun. Love the pics all over the globe. My sons and I have played the quiz game around the dinner table. Lots of new photos to go with it too.

What about Canada. I really like this app. It is informative, interesting and fun. Having said this what happened to information about Canada? It would be great if you added some of the great facts and data about Canada. Hoping you hear this. I will be looking for updates that demonstrate that you have. :o)

Blame Canada?. I was so excited to get this app after thoroughly enjoying star walk. The only icon I found for Canada is the transcanada highway. I even installed the extension files and still nothing. No wonder Americans think we live in some wasteland of snow and igloos! Apparently we have no animals, interesting plants, geography, history or inventors. Who do they keep giving the order of Canada to every year?

Please translate in French too. Totally love the concept ! It is beautiful! On the minus side, I too would like some content added in Canada which is totally empty in the app and if French language was added I would definitely recommend to all my students. --------- Suberbe présentation! ...mais pas encore disponible en français et le Canada est totalement absent du contenu.

Geo Walk HD. Terrible App - don't buy it! It is full of mistakes and horrendous biases and omissions! Erik the Red is shown on the Globe to come from Russia, rather than Norway. "Francesco Pizarro ...leaded an excursion..." All but two of the people listed are men, and almost all are white. I would never inflict this kind of thing on my, or any other kids!

It's a shame. Hello there, I'm in Canada! You know that country that is north of the 49th. Parallel. You'd think we were a wasteland with little or nothing to warrant a least a cursory mention. This is an example of the little knowledge that our American neighbors have of their best friend. I'm very disappointed in this app after seeing Solar Walk. I would give it zero stars if it were possible. I will not be recommending this app to anyone. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!

Poor content. This app looks nice and works well but the content is very poor. The facts listed are often inaccurate, making the educational value suspect. Even the image credits contained obvious errors. The text is obviously written by someone who speaks English as a second language. It was rare to find an entry that had no grammatical errors. Painful to read.

A great app-needs even more. I think the redesign has really helped this application. It looks beautiful, is easy to use, and the facts are pretty varied. But for a trivia junkie, 500 facts is a drop in the bucket. I'd love to see fact updates, maybe even subject plug-ins.

Disappointing. First picture my child looked at was mislabeled. The pictured labeled Willis Tower is actually the John Hancock building. Makes me wonder what else is wrong.

John. Very cheap looking interface and little content aside from what you randomly come across by spinning a virtual globe. This is a very poor app and I don't recommend if your intention is to use it for more than just an idle time waster.

Will not update!. Tried 20+ times after last update to get off my installed list! NEVER EVER GOES ANYWHERE STAYS ON SCREEN SAYS INSTALLED BUT NEVER WORKS OR EVEN ON MAIN SCREEN TO OPEN. EVEN UPDATED 12 updates on other apps and this one is only one STUCK!!!!!!!!

Good entertainment for all ages. Like the graphics. Kids like using it as well. Wish it had more quiz questions and more of a geography specific mode like geo safari.

Geo Walk HD rip-off. Hodge-podge of very minimal information. I see great difficulty returning to some item that may have sparked my interest. I would not recommend this app.

Great App. This is a fantastic free app. Informative and visually stunning. However some of the text needed proofreading.

Waste of 3.00$s. Well there went three dollars down the drain! Bing has Ten 100 times more info then this thing and it's free! This is just a cheap knock off of google earth and it too is free!
