Electronic Toolbox Pro Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Great app!!!. If you are a hobbiest, electronics tech or experimenter, then this app has plenty to offer you. Constantly updated with new tools and application notes. I am not exaggerating, this app offers practical value worth hundreds of dollars. The breadth and depth of what this app offers is amazing. Also, it’s stable and easy to use.

The Test of Time. I downloaded this app as electronics student in 2010! Thirteen years later it is still my first resource for anything electronics, and the continued updates and support make the app far more valuable than the price point. Marcus has created the Wolfram Alpha of board-level electronics!

Very nice app. Lot’s of great information, by what about the RP2040? This IC has taken the market by storm and IoT community. It would really cool to see this app expanded to have and education section with links to online resources such as SPICE simulators and other such “for further exploration” references.

Great Help for the Beginning Learner. I recently attended an Arduino workshop and was looking for a way to document my projects. The beta version of the included Circuit Editor is much easier than some more expensive packages, like Eagle, and there is so much value in having board descriptions, pin layouts and other documentation that I rank this amount my best finds in the App Store.

Electronic Engineer.... I am honestly amazed with this app quality. Marcus has done an excellent job in organizing the information and references in an intuitive way. The only drawback I faced is how to use the oscilloscope with my iPad (as I believe is embedded and there is not mic connector, it resembles me the one used in a well known toy used in schools to teach electronics to kids). Other than that is a really good app, nicely done. It deserves every penny invested on it.

Electronic Toolbox Pro. No matter what level of electronics you engage at this application is for you. Well thought out, organized, and practical from a user prospective. I highly recommend it. Even if your just using it for reference it is extremely versatile.

Best App I’ve Purchased. Amazing library of references for all levels of makers and professionals. Constantly updated with new and relevant material. I am in awe of the amount of dedication developer has put into this app.

Work. I use this about every day. This is the one that everyone should be using

Best diy app. This is the most useful app I have. Great reference for building electronic projects. I purchased this years ago and often use it to look up parts details. Highly recommend this app.

Electronics Toolbox. An excellent quick reference for field work or in classroom calculations. Repairing something or designing gadgets for fun from miscellaneous parts can be addictive when the answers are at your fingertips. The RF App is also handy when designing wireless antennas for exact frequencies.

Absolutely amazing!. Absolutely amazing application! Folks, this is the BEST app that I've ever downloaded. This is a one stop shop for any component level electronic part or methodology! Excellent value!!

Extensive information and continued updates make it great. This app is my go-to for all electronic reference needs. As a hobbyist, I probably use a small fraction of what an EE student would get of of this. The author continues to add to the application, each time a valuable tool or set of references. In fact, the app is slowly replacing many of my other references AND also many of my tools like tone generators, etc. This was a great purchase!

So much better than $76 college workbooks. I’ve only been using this app for around 2 hours and I’ve learned more than I have in weeks from expensive college workbooks. It really is a great app with endless knowledge. If you’re hesitating because of the cost, don’t.

The most complete APP for electronics. This is the best App you will find for electronics and general electrical data. The creator keeps it updated and continues supporting it. It just keeps improving and growing. Extremely devoted to making it better and better. I have a lot of apps where the builder makes it and moves on leaving it to be static never getting any better. I have had this one through 4 iPhones and again just keeps getting better. Thank you!!!

Easy Everyday Go To. If you, like me, are in the EE field then you probably already own this app and if you don't, you're truly missing out. Through out school & nearly every day since, this app easily remains my go to field guide. Amassed are every calculator, component list and guide that I have seemingly ever needed and all in one place. If you don't have it you need it, plain and simple.

Convenient Practical for Hobbyists AND Engineers. Marcus has developed a great iPhone app for electronic hobbyists and engineers to have handy in your pocket. It provides handy reference to pinouts, specs, component markings, formulas, calculators, electronic related physics reference, on and on, in an easy to navigate and use format. I use it to explore microcomputer chips, both pic and atmel, when beginning a project away from my computer and with a little time to kill while waiting for whatever. Even when at my computer, it is great to look up this and that without having to radio-button back and forth between so many windows, or having to print something out just to refer to while I'm working. Marcus has been updating and expanding this app for years now, and doesn't keep hitting his customers up to pay and pay for updates like some developers do, nor does he abandon the app when iOS requires compatibility updates. If you are an active hobbyist or a napkin-doodling engineer, you will not regret purchasing this app!

Electronic Toolbox. This is the best all encompassing Electronics Tool ever made and all in one great app!! I’ve had this for years and with every new advancement in electronics and computer technology, amazingly this app is updated to include them. From Arduino to Raspberry Pi to ESP32 microControllers, to every component like ICs, transistors, resistors, capacitors, diodes, and even tubes, this app has it all! Tons of calculators for every application as well. I don’t believe there is another tool like this available anywhere. Also great value for the price!

An impressive reference. Wow! I was absolutely blown away by the sheer amount of content in this app. I discovered this when I was using a competing app that I found very lacking, especially in the area of microcontrollers. I decided to take a chance on this one and was just blown away by how much more content was in this one. I would love to see more microcontroller/SBC content added, like more boards and pinout diagrams for the existing library. Seeing the frequency of updates, I’m hoping that will continue to evolve and I’ll be submitting some more feature requests. Super impressed, keep up the good work!

Best electronics app ever. I have had this app for a couple of years now, and I have to say the developer of this app keeps it up to date. This is everything needed for using electronics in DC,AC, and some Telecommunications. It is completely worth it.

New Features added All The Time. This developer is dedicated to maintaining a quality app and adding new features. Developer is easily accessible for questions. This app is becoming my go to for project documentation consolidation is that section can’t hold data sheets, notes, schematic diagrams, BOM, and two different components search engines. I’m probably going to end up buying the RF tool kit as well just because I’m so impressed with this app.

Seriously A Must Buy!. This app is worth way more than the$5-$6. It is so helpful. It’s smooth and gives you quick access to any and all the information you need for any component on the market. You can make schematics and the process is surprisingly easy and smooth. Best decision I have ever made for an app to buy.

Best Electronics Tool. This is by far the most in depth electronics tool that if have had to pleasure of using by far. The developer is also still adding useful features to the app without asking for in-app purchases which to me makes the cost of the app worth every penny. If you are new to electronics or a seasoned veteran this is the only electronics app you would ever need!

Great app, very useful.. I would recommend this app to anyone who tinkers with electronic circuits. It is very useful and easy to use. My hat goes off to the developer, the app is constantly improved and updated. Koodos, to the developer.

Very useful App. I find myself going to it often, it gets more added to it as time goes on.

Better Than Advertised!. I bought this app several years ago and have used it off and on. Each time I’ve launched it I was informed that the app had been updated—which of course was a pleasant occurrence. The information contained therein has always been accurate and, while it don’t use it everyday, I have no plans to ever “not have it on my phone”. I recommend this app to anyone considering it.

Very Helpful App. I have been using this app for several (5+?) years now to help me -- an electronics newbie -- understand components as I try to design various special purpose circuits. It has been a great help. Over the years I have been impressed with the updates. New functions are added, bugs get fixed, and the even the interface gets improved to handle the expanding capabilities. I always has been great and it just keeps getting better.

Best app I've ever used!!. I've worked in electronics for over thirty years, this is the best app there is for electronics. Well organized and comprehensive, there's nothing else that comes close. Having this type of reference on my phone, within arms reach, is invaluable. I wouldn't go out in the field without this app. Great job!!

Best electrical app out there!. Ive had this app for about a month or so. What I originally got this app for was drawing out schematic just basic stuff but this app has so much information and knowledge behind it. I have only begun to scratch the surface on its capabilities. I would say I’m a novice to mid level when it comes to electronics more of a hobbyist but this app has pushed me to learn more outside of my day to day applications. This is well worth the money so many good tools and information.

Impressive. This is a great tool for a wide range of expertise. Maybe not the single best tool for the absolute beginner, but with beginner-level tools you will outgrow the capabilities quickly. Marcus’ tool is not only full featured he keeps it updated (a while ago I thought, “hey, I wonder if he’s added Pi pico support” and I checked the built in updater and blam - supported. I have yet to fully plumb the depths of all the tools, but, so far, I’m hooked and a not a single thing I’ve wanted is missing.

Skookum as frig. Love this app so far. Handy quick reference that will help keep me from jumping down the rabbit hole that is the Internet. Has just about everything I would normally look up and open in 1000 tabs. I especially like the Arduino reference as that is what my electronics hobby centers around. The calculators are awesome as well. My favorite part is that they are easy to use and show you a lot of information. By that I mean the focus isn't to recreate the wheel with some over the top interface that looks pretty but doesn't have the content. Worth the money. Would definitely recommend.

Simply Superb. I’ve been using this app for several years now and it has been a great resource. Also the developer’s steady update cycle and communication with it’s app users is unparalleled on the App Store.

Reference goldmine. Engineering reference materials is a classic app domain for pocket oracles, and some of them have become quite polished in very focussed topic areas. What makes this app so valuable to me is that I need not remember which one of several apps holds the golden ticket for the task at hand. The cherry on top is that said convenience doesn’t require diluting expectations as to coverage or sophistication. The only advice is that time spent perusing the embarrassment of riches will be well rewarded, and there is always something else to be explored. I don’t know an engineer who would consider this a bug, but rather a feature.

What used to be in several books or desk items.. Very handy, I print saved page images for reference where iPhone is not safe at hand. Great fast reference to specific items I may have suggestions but not for now. Thanks for efforts

No circuit simulation, poor circuit editor. Be sure you understand what this app is and is not. It *is* a wealth of calculators and reference information, including access to parts info from the interweb. It is *NOT* an electronics design program, simulator or (really) circuit entry. The circuit entry is clumsy at best, and incomplete. You cannot take all those parts referenced and wire them into your circuit, much less simulate them. The “scope” just listens to microphone, it does *not* probe your circuit. Yes, you could wire your phone microphone to a circuit but for 22 kHz and risk overdriving the input? So a tool for building a BOM, yes, for integrating BOM with circuit no, for simulating circuits? Absolutely not

Incredible app. If you work with electronics as a profession or just a hobby, this app is a must have! There is so much to this app that I wouldn't know where to start, if you need it you'll find it in this app. The app support from the developer is incredible.

Awesome reference tool. As a serious electronics hobbyist, I use this app constantly. Always a great feeling when I'm about to go online to search for a formula or data sheet and I remember that it's all right here on my phone.

EE Major, Very Useful App. Currently in my third year at university studying electrical engineering, and this app has proven quiet useful over the years. Even for the simplest of things as a sanity check of simple calculations, the tools and calculators included have made my studies a bit easier. Well worth the price if you are studying circuits, using them, or just plain interested in them.

Get it you will love it. I have used this app for years. As an electronic engineering technician working on protypes and production systems I used this app daily. It’s a great tool to have in your pocket. Love it and they keep it updated on a regular basis!

The number one app!. This is the first app I install on a new phone. I’ve been using this app for many years and it’s one of the only reasons I keep a smart phone.

Totally love this app. Loved this app since I first brought it some time ago. Thank you for the wonderful updates and such a useful app. One of my favorite go to's when I am working... can't wait to see what else you cook up. :-) Kudos

Electronic toolbox. This is a great program for the electronic experimenter! A wealth of information and serious design tools. Continuously updated with new information. Excellent user interface.

Every Electronics Person Should Get This App!. Before I got this app, i sent the developer a email on whether you could design your own Circuit Schematics. They answered me back in less then 24 hours. I got the app. Went to go make a test Schematic, just to get the hang of it. I was blown away! It is better then I could have imagined! They also have parts where you can solve the value of different components. For example, you can solve anywhere from a Resistor, to a Coil. As a student doing online college to become a Electronics Technician, this app is a huge help! Glad I found it! If you ever have a question, they answer it, and they do it quite quickly! Whether you are a Student like me, or been in the Electronics industry for years, Electronic Toolbox Pro is a must for anyone who dose Electronics! Glad I found this app! Thanks for making it Marcus Roskosch!

Fantastic !. If you work in the electronics field this program is a must have tool kit. The program just keeps getting better with every update. The Developer is very responsive and has added many of my suggestions. Thanks again for making this program. It is my best reference tool that I use everyday.

Extremely Comprehensive-Worth it!. I've been trying to learn how to create circuits for the past year or so and this app is by far the greatest reference I've come across. In addition to the vast amount of data sheets and various formulas, there is a way to make a list of parts one may need to complete a project which is very useful. Finally, the developer is very active and always looking for ways to improve the app, if he/she keeps that mind set(without adding too much in one app), this may be the go to reference for electronics and components. Great job and I definitely recommend the app!

Indispensable tool. Well worth the money. I can't count the numbers of hours this app has saved me on the data sheet feature alone.

Just Get It. I don't care if you are a professional or a hobbyist you want this app! More information than you can imagine and it just keeps getting better.

Electrical engineer. I bought this app today and I think it was worth it. Very nicely designed. It has datasheets to me it wasn't that necessary to include them but it has it. Most useful formulas are included. I can see the developer spent so much time to make it look nice and simple. I hope more formulas and features will be added in the future. I will give 5 star. I like it.

Great tool!. I've been using this tool for about 4 years now and it has fulfilled all of my needs. Some of the greatest additional attributes are being able to use it without internet access, having great product support for the app, having the wide variety of tools included in this app; even the Raspberry Pi application is helping with my 10 year-olds' science fair project! It is also easy to navigate and easy to use. Thanks again Marcus.

Awesome app. Helped me out many times. Hard to remember all aspects of electrical engineering and this app is ready with information.

Awesome App.. Marcus who made this app. is constantly adding more to this app. making it the best electronics app. out there. I am sure he works on it 24/7. It is by far the most advanced electronics “assistant” to any technician or engineer out there. Surely the one app I was totally amazed at its usefulness. I don’t work for him and this is a completely honest review. Apps like this make it worth the cost of an iPad. It is truly awesome. Highly recommended.

Fantastic App. I find this app to be intuitive and helpful thank you

Everything at hand. This is one of those great Apps , it simply does everything it claims , no in App charges , no pesky ads , just lots of information , great work Marcus .

Nice.. But still, this app could do with more features and diagrams.

A great resource. A great reference for all things electronic

Good Value. Very useful

Great pocket reference. Fantastic pocket reference. Well polished app. Well done and enjoy

@. Great app, handy unit converter and quick reference to components. Great little Ohm's law calculator. Only complaint is that the transistor I looked up BC547 was missing.

A must have!. This is the most comprehensive and appropriate set of tools that you will need. Each is easy to use and very accurate. The interfaces are very intuitive. Highly recommended.

Brilliant - actively updated & improved. This is such a useful electronic reference with so many utilities and surprises it is unequaled as an app. The author seems to add significant new information to the database weekly. Considering how much time it has saved me I would happily pay much more for this app.

Brilliant app. Best electronic app I've used

A must. If you are looking for an electronics reference, this is it. By far the best app, regular communication from the dev, constant updates and new features for free, no ads. By far worth the cost!

Fantastic. If you want to know something about electronics, this app has it. Well worth the money.

Electronic Toolbox Pro - I love it. Having reviewed ETB more than. Year ago, I find my (favourable) comments are the same now. This is an excellent reference too. I love having the reference tables for most components available in my pocket. The range of components is good, access is fast and I have found the data to be accurate. Regular updates add to this the calculators are there too although I find the reference material most useful. Highly recommended.

Calculating MPT. Maximum power transfer auto calculation

Mr. By far the best electronics app available

Worth the price. Good collection of calculators and reference material for elecronic use. I would like to see the inclusion of voltage and current division (two resistor) calculators. Great to see continued development, improvement and willingness to listen to customer suggestions.

Best reference out there. If you need a reference app then this is the best, I use it all the time, just wish it could find the faults in my projects too.

Awsome job Marcus. Awsome app, defiantly worth them money, very handy...getting even better

Great app!. If you do any electronics work this is a great reference to keep handy as you work. Chock full of info and also updated on a regular basis. Keeps getting better and more useful!

It just works!. Such a great app! Any Maker or Electronics enthusiast will need this app. I use it all the time and I find that I have little need for a few of my other apps now! Awesome!

Outstanding. Awesome toolbox! The updates are always useful and exciting!

This app is awesome, not just for pros. This app is awesome, I'm no pro and I am loving this app. I recently got a raspberry pi and piface board, LEDs, motors but my knowledge falls just above noob. I am digesting the features of thus app (pi commands, schematic 101s, resistor, capacitor breakdowns etc). I would love a total beginners option with tutorials from simple dc circuits to parallel circuits and common problems/solutions. Maybe an in app purchase? And maybe a circuit designer or kids (stupid dads) projects? Thanks for an awesome app.

The app is continuing marvel. The app is well layed out and incredibly useful and while ohm's law doesn't change each update proves to be on the mark such as reference material for the new Pi's. I'm a fan!

Outstanding. This app should be in every engineer's & hobbyist's toolbox, with every update greater refinement & functionality are delivered.

Simply the Best. Always finding more that I didn’t know it had ,so very useful ,continually updated and improved

Thank you. This is without question the best app I have purchased for my iPad and given its functionality and continuous development increfible value for money! A big thank you to the developper.

Brilliant. This is the best quick reference guide I have seen. Like a mini library in your pocket :)

Awesome new features. I've used this useful tool for about a year now - and the new version just made two other apps obsolete - this is the one to get!!

Great app!!. This app is so handy I find myself using it very often. Keep up the good work. Just thought I would mention this latest update does seem to crash a bit randomly though

Good stuff. It's a crazy world our there and it's nice to find a guy who works without regard for payments involved; to work for the love of creating a beautiful thing instead of how much money it will get him. Cheers mate. You've done an excellent job. Thank you.

Brilliant!. This is a great app! I use it all the time. Not only is it a great reference, but you can organise the tools for convenience. Updates are frequent. The best.

Very good. Love this app, extremely handy and useful, I cannot think of a way of doing it better. Pretty please make a iOS version of your RF toolbox - it would greatly help me in my work.

Very useful app, great for references. This app is very useful for my work as electronics engineer. Thanks

Awesome App 5 stars. What an awesome app, I am a hobbyist and it is just what I was looking for! Great user friendly interface too! 5 STARS!!

Extremely thorough. This app has everything you need and then some. Don't miss out on the unit conversion module, that could replace most unit conversion apps too. The dev is very responsive when I reported one missing transistor type and suggested an UI improvement. If you need an electronics reference, get this one.

Great !. No contest, The Best of its kind, a well maintained app with regular updates, this tool box is packed full of features and I'm sure anyone that works with or tinkers in electronics would find this one very handy to have. Thanks for this !

Excellent learning tool. As others have stated, this app provides lots of info for the beginner. Updates are frequent. Interface very easy to navigate. As a beginner, any questions about components I might use are easy to answer. My best purchase so far.

One of the best App designer.. I have 3 of his apps and I am just amaze at how much work and details, this seller puts into his apps. What amazes me even more is how he has always honoured the products he sells. He has never gone to that ridiculous subscription nonsense like lots of sellers have. I have paid about $50 for some apps which are now subscription apps, so if I update the apps I won’t be able to use them. I understand how much work go into these apps and if at some point a newer version required another one time small fee to do a major version or update I would gladly pay into that. These things time, effort and hard work to keep up so it’s not unreasonable if ask to contribute to keep updating an awesome app. 👍 awesome. I will also be buying the other electronic app to complete my bundle.

I love it. I use this when I'm shopping parts or when I'm designing a new circuit. It is a quite handy application. Way to go!

A must have. I'm a electronic technology student and it has been a very useful tool for my studies. It looks great and work excellent for me!

The best. This app is very easy and fun to use on my iphone. Huge database with precise info. Nice interface; very happy

Complete. Haven't gotten deep into this but the amount of practical data is impressive.

Awesome!!. This is one of the most useful apps I have ever bought. Keep up the great work Marcus!!!

Just plain awesome. Best app of its kind, hands down

BEST APP I’VE EVER USED. This app has been worth every penny! Marcus has diligently updated it with more information and fixes minor issues with the app. I have not found any issues that were not addressed quickly. Thanks for all the hard work in making this the number one go to app on my phone!

Wow!. I'm a 1st year electronics engineering student and this is EVERYTHING I need. Well, maybe except for a Boolean algebra calc. Lol But I'm amazed, great app. Thank you!

Fantastic app. I got into this hobby in about 2011 and using this app has been a mainstay of my self education and ongoing hobby projects and progress in arduino and robotics. The app is in front of me whenever I am in my electronics lab. Keep up the good work Marcus.

Feature packed is an understatement!. This app is worth its price! The most complete reference tool of its kind program, hands down!

Awsome!. This app is great. Easy calculation of values. Lots of formulas. Defiantly recommend this App!

Wish I had this in school!. Excellent app! Very impressive assortment of useful tools and information.

Really awesome app. I'm a hobbyist and this is really the best thing I ever had. It got everything you need from resistors to calculation of ohm's law. Even with the text in German, it got every languages you'll need.

Excellent app!. There's no better app than this one! I love it! Great to find any references Perfect for hobbyists like me! I hope there will be upgrade frequently! Thanks!

Non-functional application. The circuit editor is non-functional with touch input, and the app is virtually useless on the iPhone. I fought $7 of digital garbage. No auto save, you just lose work, whole files disappear. App constantly crashes.

Great application. Very helpful!. Being a user for a while now. Great app with great content and features.

cool app. Thank you for creating this app. Love it and very helpful

Excellent!. Very useful and well-written app for students, hobbyists, or professionals.

Best reference for I could have.. Constantly referencing the app. Beats my library.

Calc: equation dsappears. Hoping for an update. The equation still vanishes after the answer appears on the right side of the screen. A simple 37+63=100 but, the 37+63 disappears.

Just a student. I’m just starting out in electronics and this app is my NUMBER ONE go to! Marcus is a great help with fast responses. I highly recommend this app!!

Love the App. This is a great App I use it at the job site and with my hobbies.

I LOVE THIS APP. This app is soooo useful

Great tool. I use this tool for many different projects that I dabble in. Very useful! Thanks

An essential tool. This is one of those must-have apps if you have anything to do with electronics. It has so much useful stuff and the layout is beautifully done. I bought it mostly because of the LM317 voltage regulator calculator but I find I'm using it all the time, even if I don't really need to ("Hmmm....I wonder what the resistance is on that 40W light bulb in my fridge?") Being able to identify resistors and capacitors, calculate series and parallel resistance AND capacitance, convert nearly any measurement to any other unit, and having ohm's law sitting there in the palm of your hand whenever you need it is well worth the 3 bucks. The developer is VERY responsive. I emailed him with a few minor bugs and not only did I have a response within a few hours, but he fixed everything with this update. I've played with it for about a week now and the only thing I would like to see added is the ability to enter the resistor value in the LED calculator. It might be nice to have some linear IC's in the database, too. Other than that, it's perfect for what I need and I would highly recommend it. Buy it!

Not able to run on iPhone X. Tried to open the app, only to find it freeze after the home screen initializes. Was not able to access a single function of the app at all.

Been using this to reference everything I do for years. Love it

Convenient and complete electronic reference. My go to app for all things electronic.

Incredible toolkit. Well written easy to find information. This is by far one of my favorite apps! Jimmy Havins, P.E.

Great App!!. What a terrific app! I wish this had been around when I was teaching Electronics back in the 1960s!

Don’t Bother With Any Of The Rest, This Is The Best!!. Like others who have recently posted reviews, I do not normally write them either. Only when 1) an app is really, REALLY excellent 2) I use it continuously- on a daily or near-daily basis 3) I have BEEN using it for a considerable period of time (at least a year usually) I.E. It has STOOD the TEST of TIME 4) Not an absolute requirement, BUT...it should have an excellent GUI, it should be easy to use and intuitive, regularly updated to take advantage of the latest Apple technology (iPhone and iPad display advancements, Apple A(x) chip capabilities, iOS code/GUI improvements, major new features such as the Retina display back in the day, screen touch sensitivity more recently, dual cameras (wide and tele), iPhone X TrueDepth, etc AND (5) The app should contain No...NO...NO....NOOO ADS, NO POP-UP CRAP that covers part of the screen and hence, part of the app GUI, NO LOCKED or GRAYED-OUT FEATURES with prompts to make in-app purchases in order to simply USE the features that are part of the app, especially sneaky stuff where you knew there were upgrades via in-app purchase, but you thought that you had access to the fundamental features which were what caught your interest in the first place and were the motivational factor behind making the purchase in the first place! And I don’t want it to cost $0.99 just so that I will buy it, only to find out that this costs money, this other thing costs more money, such and such is only a partial version; the full thing is another $5.99 upgrade...and so on. That works for teenage girls looking for apps to make them look pretty when they take selfies and for wasting time and brain cells socializing on the intereb...but it’s not working for me. But I digress... The requirements I’ve listed are rarely fulfilled in their entirety in my 10+ years of iPhone life, and I can probably list on one hand all of the apps that I own which have nailed it completely. 1) SignalScope X by Faber Acoustical 2) iCircuit 3) MultitrackDAW (I’m a musician and recording engineer as well as an EE...) 4) Audiobus 2/3 5) This app. The Toolbox. The most comprehensive collection of data, calculators, formulas, datasheets, product lists, pinouts, connector types, part numbers, reference and cross-references, even access to/the ability to create orders for purchase through RS for example...and of course the actual working tools- the circuit editor, the multimeter and oscilloscope (combined with all of the information and calculators in the toolbox section). Impressive. And it goes on. I think it’s really cool the way the app is set up to be a constant guide and assistant when actually taking on a project in the real world. You have the tools/toolbox for reference and information, you have the circuit editor/meter/scope to do a little preparation and experimentation, and you have a whole purpose-made part of the app for making and saving Projects. I really like that and I like how it gives you a place to begin a new project (in real life or in simulation, doesn’t matter which), you can save and store pdf’s, image files, datasheets, circuit designs, schematics, all sorts of stuff. That is really cool. Well done Marcus. And it is the truth that Marcus is constantly working on the app. Once every week or so I will launch it and find that there’s a new update, and I don’t see him deciding to quit working on it any time soon. And the thing is I do have a whole bunch of other electronics related apps. So it’s not like I’ve just purchased this one and maybe one or two others and I only have a limited point of reference. No, in fact I’ve downloaded every free app related to electronics that exists on the App Store, I’ve purchased probably 90% of the ones that cost money, and the few that are left mostly have to do with some sort of specific thing like for example there is Oscium which is an oscilloscope program yes, but it requires hardware probes and an interface unit and those things cost hundreds of dollars. There’s no point in using the app unless you have that external hardware or if you’re demoing the software to see if you like it and might want to get the hardware. There’s a few others like that which require external hardware and then there’s also a bunch of apps which are ‘extensions’ of some specific piece of equipment. For example, a certain manufacturer of hardware oscilloscopes (very nice ones indeed) offers an iOS app as sort of a “companion” to the hardware. Quite useful, yes, but not required. And of course there’s absolutely zero point in downloading it if you don’t own one of those oscilloscopes. Both of my examples involve oscilloscopes but that was just by accident, there are “companion” apps as well as combo hardware/software (app) packages involving all sorts of things. My point is simply that if I haven’t tried it, it’s likely not even something useful to the masses. So I would say IMHO out of maybe 50 apps out there roughly, that deal with electronics, there are I think two which come close to being as good as this one, none that equal it, and not a one of them can better it. Not one. Which two come close? You’ll just have to wonder... Ok enough dribble. Go and scroll up and down through these reviews. Literally NEARLY EVERY SINGLE REVIEW is not just positive but glowingly so. I was trying to find a negative review and it actually required me to scroll down and further down for a solid minute or two JUST TO FIND ONE.....AND...then when I do, it’s a guy saying that he’s bummed that the app doesn’t have a circuit editor. Ha! So that one doesn’t even count, I went back to scrolling down, finally found another one and it’s a dude saying that the app is freezing up on his such and such iPhone model. Marcus responds saying that he’s sorry about that and that the bug causing that has been fixed. Ha! So that one doesn’t have any relevance at this point. And it really wasn’t even negative, the guy was just having a problem.

Handy tool. I like having this tool in my folder of engineering apps. While many of the calculation it does are easy to do on paper, this is in many ways faster and more convenient. The tool it needs and doesn't have is a current capacity tool where you enter in current and it tells you what gauge wire you need or what size pcb trace you need. (or vice versa). Obviously you would also have to enter the temp rise you would tolerate. It could also tell you total ohms for the wire length of the gauge it comes up with. It does have a wire tool. So you can get the ampacity data (for wag 18 and lower), it's just not as convenient as described above, for those of us who constantly need to look that up and then calculate power and voltage drops. This is common throughout the app. I love that a HUGE amount of data is in there, but it should be easier to access. For example, there is a large list of thyroid torts, but to get at the data you can only look up the thyristor by part number. It would be more awesome if you could search by parameter and the app shows you thyristors. Same with Atmel parts, it would be better if you could have the app show all the chips with a/d resolution higher than 10 bit and have more than 2 timers. Other than that, this tool is pretty complete

Draw. It has a variety of good topics. However, drawing schematics is not practical. Not friendly software too many bugs.

Great job. A huge library in my hand Thank you so much

Love it!. I love this app! I use it all the time. So many features! Best money I ever spent!!!

Great Electronics App!. Using it for years, and it just keeps getting better! No better value in the App Store!

Additional Features. Any chance you can add a Series and Parallel Circuit Calculations features in the app?

Incredible Application. Everything this guy builds is fantastic..

Great app. I’m a systems integrator and use this app everyday. It’s great! Every process engineer at every site I’ve shown this to immediately buys it.

The most comprehensive reference tool for all things electrical!. This app takes the place of several thousand of dollars worth of reference books, and places that information at your fingertips. I am amazed at how much information is contained here. It is very well organized which makes it easy to quickly find whatever you are looking for. It is an amazing tool for any electrical/electronic student, engineer, technician or hobbyist. This app does it all! What's more is the ongoing addition of even more material - at no additional charge! This is definitely a labor of love for the creator - there is no way he could be getting fully compensated for the amount of time he has, and continues to put in!

So good. Very useful for grad student trying to build some stuff. Updated ifter

Great App. You get what you pay for. Well worth what I paid.

Great App. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

Electronic TB. Great App for anyone interested in electronics.

Garbage and pointless app.. The main feature you want(Circuit Editing) doesn’t work, and was presented in a misleading manner.

Great APP. Excellent app.

6 stars. Very comprehensive app!

Perfect electronics app. This is by far the best electronic app available. Nothing more needs to be said. Get it...

Incredible app!. Very useful,as a repair technician I used it all the time still do!

Best App ever written. Mind blowing!! I wish I could meet the guy who wrote it.

Sdeq. Ok 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Not helpful at all. Made an entire project and saved multiple times only to find out that it was deleted in the end. Not worth the money at all.

Excelent tools. Very usable group of electronics tools

Great Tool. This app is amazing for electronics. So many resources and features stuffed in this thing.

Excellent app, truly pro-grade!. Everything you need as an electrician, a tech, amateur hobbyist.

3D wireless. No bread board to simulate if there is I don't know where it's at can someone show me

Awesome. By far the most complete and useful electronics reference app available. It's simply astonishing how much information has been packed into a single app.

Its missing a key feature.. No this app does not allow you to build a circuit and run a simulation of the circuit. You ask me thats a big deal! Thats the whole reason why someone who already knows about basic electrical engineering components would buy this app.

My go to electronics app. Very helpful info all in one place.

Simply amazing!. Great for ham radio project builders. My wish for a new feature was added making it much easier for me to work on ALL of RF experiments. Thank you!!

Can’t edit and save a circuit. The one reason I wanted to buy this app, was to enter a circuit and run a simulation. Using the save button on the editor, the app immediately crashes. Total waste of money.

Now it's fantastic! (1 request). It's gotten a lot better! The new interface is much cleaner, and the latest features are very useful, such as the calculator and oscilloscope. I am also especially grateful for the addition of a 'common units' listing in the conversion table. This alone makes me use the app again. The only thing I would request is the ability to view past calculations in the calculator. Right now it only displays the most recent result, and you can only access that (using ans). What if you could scroll up to view past results and click them, instead of using ans to get only the most recent one? Anyway, many thanks to the developer for making an incredible app.

Electronic Toolbox is an incredibly valuable resource!. Unlike other apps available supporting multiple platforms, the Electronic Toolbox is a MUST HAVE for anyone who frequently submerges themselves in the world of electronics. For you hobbyists, the Arduino and Raspberry Pi resources are of significant value as a reference and for its' microprocessor specific diagrams. College students? The toolbox will provide you with everything you need to complete your coursework whether it's Ohm's Law calculator, KVL and many other useful formula calculations. Kudos to Marcus for the development of one of my top five apps of all time! And don't be cheap, spend the few bucks on the app, let's keep Marcus in business of continually evolving this awesome application into bigger and better!
