Love the newscasts, the app: not so much!. I truly enjoy the newscasters; the team’s chemistry is awesome. They bring the audience in and captivate us with their humor. The application on the other hand leaves much to be desired. It buffers, stops working and needs to be reloaded all the time, etc.

Get notification about bad weather and shows commercials. Get notifications about ‘bad weather, watch now for the latest’. So when I click to watch ‘live’ I have to watch commercial's first. I totally understand sponsorship and having commercials added, but don’t have them be the 1st thing I have to watch. By the time the commercials are over the broadcast is over. How helpful is that?? Very frustrating.

Notifications. I get a notification from the app telling me about something happening now and to open the app to get live updates but when I open app no live updates going on. Very frustrating!

Channel 9 Eyewitness News. I have relied on WFTV for as long as I can remember. They stay on top of everything important to us locals. I’ve been in Central Florida for 32 years.

Favorite News and Weather Teams. We start every day with WFTV for accurate news and weather, but also for the personalities that bring the information into our homes. Thank you to those in front of, and behind the cameras, for jump starting my day.

Commercials TOO Loud. Love the information that is given. Love the content. Love the personalities. But why are the commercials so loud? I have the app on my Apple 4K Tv device and the content is so much lower in volume than the commercials that are being played. I have adjusted my volume settings on my actual tv but that just makes the volume of the news content lower to the point that I have to keep the remote handy to asjust the volume. PLEASE FIX THIS!

Stopped supporting my iOS. I live stream the news on this app every evening on an old iPad. Tonight the app requires that I upgrade, only it turns out that the app no longer supports iOS 10 or 11. I guess I will no longer be able to watch my favorite local news station, and will have to switch to watching the competition.

Retired. Channel 9 gives the best news coverage! They are always “on top of everything”!

WFTV Florida. I’m so happy that I can enjoy my TV station while I’m away from home. It’s always good to keep up on the local news.

No WiFi no news. I don’t know why but this is the ONLY news app that works solely on WiFi. When I need news I’m not always on WiFi. What good are you???? WFTV has the best weather team but they’re app is USELESS when WiFi isn’t available. Please WFTV get with the program!! I pay for data and I should be able to access your news app with data like I can ALL of your competitors!!

Awesomesauce news!. I moved here a little over 10 years ago, so of course I’ve checked all the news stations!! I’ve found in my research that your station IMO is the absolute best for me!! Your reporters are very professional, while on a assignment!! That is very important to me, there is another station here that I feel likes to basically , I feel tries to sway my opinion about what the next story is about. For instance ( oh get this, wait until what this person did while committing the crime we will tell you after the break! In my opinion ( they should report what they have about the story, and let the us make up our own minds IMO!! Your news team’s are great and always professional !! Tom Terry is the best Meteorologist! He Awesomesauce in my book!! I don’t watch any other station anymore!!! Keep up the great work....♥️😃😃

Expected more. The professionalism of WFTV channel 9 on tv has always drawn me in. Why I’ve been a loyal viewer for 25 years. But your websites/apps are horrible!! Not user friendly. To watch channel 9 is impossible to actually watch. It’s first so many ads to watch to get to it, then it’s always way behind, not live. I seriously expected so much more out of the weather app. The daily is not user friendly nor the radar. As much as I love channel 9, I always use a different app for news and weather. Please upgrade!

Redundant news. Limit the news feeds to one in regard to COVID. I am sick of the plethora of articles on the subject daily. That way I can avoid reading the inconsistent numbers between articles and go on to the REAL news. I’m aware that limiting posts will cause the news stations to come up with a lot more REAL news. It’s out there!!!! Please delete the old articles that have been out there for weeks. The station could even report how many traffic deaths occur in the state each day. Oh that’s right - all deaths are reported as “COVID RELATED”. Oops!!

News coverage.. Would like to see fair and balanced coverage of news items. So many things covered are sensational and help drive ratings . I understand that. What is missing is the background or follow up. Like it’s ok to see a home burning but go back and see the progress of repairs or the continuing issues of this family getting to normal. Following a drunken driving incident do a background or follow up on the people involved. They don’t have to be exposes but a little better. Crime coverage. See a lot of crying family members , which could be expected, but what’s the background. Wrong place at the wrong time or did their lifestyle lead to them becoming a statistic. Is a law enforcement officer justified or wrong in a case or the chain of events leading to the encounter. Just try to be fair. I will filter out what I think is biased coverage . I think you do pretty good in our climate of news coverage.

Video section of app is terrible. When you start a video, it is very difficult to stop them. There is no obvious exit button and after many minutes of frustrating pushing in different parts of the screen which opens advertisements a “x” finally appears in the upper left corner. When that is pushed it completely exits the app. GARBAGE! This app needs some serious work

WFTV NEWS. When we moved to Florida over 22 years ago we “auditioned” the four local tv news broadcasts offered by our cable company; ABC NBC CBS and FOX. We decided that ABC’s local affiliate WFTV was our go to for local news and weather! You guys won the “role” of being part of daily news and weather coverage for my family. Thanks to all of the people on the staff who keep us informed about what’s happening in and around our Central Florida neighborhoods.

The greatest. This is my favorite news channel and always on top of the breaking news

Mediocrity. More times than not, the news articles are poorly written and don’t seem to be edited at all. The grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure is embarrassing. News is not updated often enough and articles seem to be on repeat. I rarely get the headlines and bullet point that I’m looking for which is why I downloaded the app in the first place.

Limited updated. You don’t update quick enough and or expand previous posts. Stale news.

WFTV. Watching channel 9 since we came to Florida that has been 40 years. Very warm atmosphere especially the anchors. Feel like Greg Tom Brian have become part of our life. Everyone keep up the good work.

App issues. I don’t know what changes were done in the last update but when watching live through the app it will no longer go to full screen

Commercials. Get rid of mandatory live commercials. If I want to watch commercials, I will on my own. I get out of the story, so I don’t have to watch the commercials & I go to another competitors site.

All grown up.. I watch channel 9 all my life tried the other channels and always came back to channel 9 enough said.

Love the station, hate this news app. So many problems with this app, starting with auto-returning to top of stories list after each story selection so you’re forced to scroll back down through all the stories each time to get to the next story you might want to read - that’s just annoying. The worst is the story repetition as you scroll to get to more new stories at the bottom of the list. But there’s more...poor editing for spelling and accuracy has become a problem, too; I’m not trying to nitpick, because I could live with SOME of these issues, but altogether, it just makes this site too sucky. I scroll the headlines, and then google to read the stories elsewhere, which I hate doing. I want to hunker down with this site again, if it gets fixed (even somewhat, because I’m very forgiving). Please....have someone overhaul this site, and format. I love channel 9 news (for 18 years!!!), but this website is going to drive me to drink!

Never works for live update. Every time I get a notification for a live update on something happening and I go to the app I get a commercial that runs for about 30 seconds and then the app crashes. As long as I’ve had the app I have never been able to see a live update. I can read the stories once they post them.

WFTV is the Best!. I watch morning, noon, four o’clock, & eleven! Thank you for providing excellent newscasters, weather, & sports & field reporting. Thank you for bringing back Brian. All of the weather reporters get us through every hurricane with calmness & trust. 🥰

Stop playing videos with sound!. Anytime I hit the notification to read the news article you have it set to auto play a video or ad on speaker even when the video is clearly on mute. Please stop. I want to read it not hear about it or anything else. It’s annoying.

Updated Review. I couldn’t submit an app request as it reverted me to website with no means to submit an App request. However my review here was addressed within a day and all issues resolved. Well done! And looking forward to reading great news!

Forever unproofread. For every article there’s a minimum of 2 simple English mistakes! It’s as if there’s is absolutely nobody in charge of proofreading before it’s sent out. Even my elementary children point these constant errors out. It’s almost as if the people ‘typing’ just don’t care and are in a hurry. For a fun game, every day...download this app and you can play the grammar mistake game too!

Now, you Otherwise, I will be deleting this app and going with a Fox 35. This used to be my favorite news app, but this last update they removed the “back” button. Now, you have to hit the home button and have to scroll back to the spot you were at. PLEASE CHANGE THIS BACK! It’s so annoying! Otherwise, I will be deleting this app and going with Fox 35

Best news first!!. I live in Jacksonville Florida and get my news from channel 9 Orlando. I get the news before any of the other local agencies have it! They also have the best coronavirus data of any state wide news station! Will continue following them as long as they stay this accurate, which I expect them to do since it’s been the best news for about five years. Keep up the good work!

No full screen. I use to watch the morning news on this app every morning. A few months ago they eliminated the full screen option. I am now using another local news program with full screen option.

My news everyday. I read your news everyday. Cannot start my day without it. I don’t like sometimes you click onto an article and it doesn’t open. Or a video which plays a commercial then plays a report like a dictated story.

Average app. The app could be improved by including more news stories. There are only a few stories that are repeated a few times which makes it look like a lot of items. And some stories run for days on end while others are gone after a few hours.

Tracking any storms. Hi my name is Ron I’m from Palm Bay , Fl I’m a land Surveyor and your weather crews are 2nd to none . My go to every morning before I head out . Oh and I’m up and gone around 0500 . But Thank you channel 9 weather team for your professional approach and reporting on every detail of every storm . Commercials. Don’t bait us with important news and then make us wait through long commercials. Just start out, “This news is being brought to you by “such and such” company. Then get to the news. Your listeners would so appreciate that consideration and would probably be more willing to check out your sponsors because you cared about getting the news out to them. This is especially important when we are in crisis mode and concerned for our loved ones. Can you imagine Paul Revere being held at the highway being preempted by a commercial while trying to get the message out, “The Red Coats are coming!”

Terrible. This app is absolute trash. It’s very difficult to find articles, if they’re not one of the five displayed on the main page. Then it’s filled with so many ads, there’s more ads than story once you open an article. It’s disappointing that such a good news station has such a terrible app.

Horrible update. Since the update, they took out the back button requiring you to tap the home button instead. No search feature and, more often than not, when you try to tap on a story, it kicks you completely out of the app. A roomful of monkeys could have done better with this update. Deleting now.

Channel 9. Channel 9 gives more weather and news for Volusia County . Information we do not get from the other channels. It contains more of our local news such as Daytona and Deland.

Accurate and dependable. I can always count on channel 9. I enjoy all the news and weather teams. Especially like Vanessa and Jamie.

Stories. The stories are written at a 100,000 foot level. Not asking the right questions so we as viewers can truly understand the depth of a story. This is important during an election year and the complicities of today’s world

Too many ads. Literally the most frustrating app, way to many ads and pop ups makes it so frustrating to read just one sentence

Review. I go here first to know what’s happening now. Great news station.

Traffic map doesn’t work. For months now the traffic map doesn’t work it either crashes or it shows no traffic it’s just a map no colors to show current traffic

Alerts. I have an alert or message alert On the ap icon. Cant make it Go away!!

No access. Summit Broadband and Cox Media have denied us access to the only news station we trust.

Kudos Channel 9. You keep us updated on the pandemic and how to combat it.

Just report the news. Constantly negative gun stories never the positive gun stories . Yes , there are positive stories . Please don’t try to sway people ( no fake news)

Clear and concise!. My go to news source.

Where’s the Story??????. When a headline/notification pops up you would think that clicking on that would take you to the story, right? No, not when you use the WFTV app. And oftentimes you can’t find the story referred to. It’s crazy but true according to many who share the same frustration.

App is broken. Have used this app for many years. But recently it says no Internet connection please try again. This is not true. Using an Apple iPhone 14. Deleted and reinstalled and got same message.

Text disappears. Text of stories disappears over and over while you’re reading it.

Ch 9 news. Always up to date

Give them a minute. Don’t be so quick to destroy the lives young black men. You always blast pictures before knowing if they are even guilty. Don’t you think slavery did enough damage to the black race. I’m sick of the double standard. Good God.

Channel 9 App. Sometimos it’s impossible to connect so that we can listen to the news or see the alerts in its entirety

Not able to view news. After receiving a “breaking news” notice, clicking the link the news story does not appear.

Too many ads. Too many ads that makes the app crash

No Chrome cast option. Unfortunately this app has no chrome cast option.

Love this news. This is my daily news always!

Too many videos. Most stories seem to be on video. Not many you can just read or see graphs or charts like for tracking tropical storms.

Commercial volume spike!. Still way too many commercials. And now after last update, what little news is displayed the volume is very low. But wait too the Commercials come on the volume goes way up. Needs serious improvement.

Flaky app. It returns to the top of the story list when you exit a story. It should return to your previous position in the story list. The story screen goes blank while reading a story at least 50% of the time. The subgroups are just repeats of the first subgroup.

I enjoyed watching Eyewitness , even when I am out of the States. Zentille

Trusted. Have watched since 72 when I moved here since a small child. Everyone from the past to now are the best of the best.

New 11 PM Format. Hate the new 11:00 format and the morbid music played with it. only watch the show to see Tom Terry’s weather team forecast at the end of the day and there is almost no weather report. I guess i will just watch Fox at 10 PM to get the truth in reporting until you go back to real programming again...

No longer switches from portrait to landscape. I no longer use this app because it stopped switching automatically from portrait to landscape on my iPad.

5 o’clock news. What’s up with newscasters standing to read news? Not flattering. Seated much better. Also dress that Sugalski (sp) worst choice of dress EVER. Someone at studio should help with wardrobe choice. The black, pink and red dress just doesn’t work.

I live in Orlando and I find this helpful. I think it’s a useful app. No surprises from what they put in the tv shows.

Could be better.... I enjoy the app, however, I am constantly having loading and reloading issues with it. Too many silly little bugs with it. Other than that it’s great.

Apple TV App. Can someone please turn off the are you sure you want to exit notification on the Apple TV app. It’s incredibly annoying and the only app to have it. When switching apps it’s so irritating being asked every time.

Why is there no Search function ??. Why in the world is there no way to SEARCH the news ?? If there is one it needs to be in plain sight. Search would be a priority for any news organization.

Would be a better App. If when using would rotate to landscape/horizontal. Dont use much because its annoying to have to hold ipad when with other news app it rotates so I can place on the kitchen counter as I cook or desk at work.

Distracting videos. Please bring back original format in which viewers can hide distracting content and view read only content as needed.

Moderna Booster. On Channel 9 news tonight they said that your website shows where to get a booster shot. I’ve searched for 20 minutes and I cannot see that information anywhere. Why do you make it so difficult to get that information?

Too many intrusive ads. I like the app but wish the ads were less intrusive. It’s discouraging to have to jump around ads to read the article.

Local 9. Ch. 9 has the best Orlando Metro area website.
