Nice app. App works as advertised. Really like it. Would buy it again. Only 7 timer sounds while timer is running, more would be nice.

Works like a charm. It's a game timer!!! Therefore, not working in sleep mode isn't an issue, unless you timer needs to be on longer than your sleep mode settings, and my iphone is set for 5 minutes so no problem. If it is, use the one that comes with your phone. It is a fine game timer, goes down to 5 second intervals, keeps yor settings, it is better than the useless freebies I tried.

Make your own game. Love the app! It has enough versatility for a person to make their own game. Settings are simple and easy to follow and give a short description if you are unsure of what a particular setting will do. Also, various sounds can be used for different audiences.

Neat. This timer comes in handy and boosts the fun at game parties. The sound effects are well selected and executed. The interface is intuitive and polished. Random and fixed time intervals go with a large variety of game situations.

Great Training Timer. I like to start from a relaxed mental state and this me to just start in "Go Mode" then repeat. Great tool for my iPhone.

Great for classroom motivation. Mumball gets a little boring sometimes, not with GameTimer. If the game show buzzer goes off randomly while you’re holding the ball -you’re out! Not enough time to play one more round? Well then, if the Gong sounds while you’re holding the ball - you win! Not playing games? Ok. If you are working when the timer sounds you get a treat from the teacher’s desk, or you get to take a break. This tool is totally worth the $0.99. Thanks for making it. I wonder what else I can do with it. I’d give it a five star rating if it had more sounds, or I could add tone from iTunes.

Nicely done. Does what it says. I've been looking for one of these type apps for a while. Specifically the random without displaying time remaining. I like the 5 second to almost an hour options. I would like to see continuous mode with time to the second displayed and a scrolling of the timer reset times.

Stopwatch sound... :(. I have been searching for a realistic sounding kitchen timer. This has an extra beat to it that is just not the same. Tick tock is the sound a pendulum makes on a clock not the hand of the stopwatch. It’s just tick, tick, tick...

Almost what I needed.... As previous reviewers have said, the application does everything it says it does. Unfortunately, it does not continue to keep time and sound alarms when my iPod automatically goes to sleep. As soon as I wake it up again, the alarm will sound, but that does not help if you want to time anything longer than a few seconds. Recommendations for the developer: make the alarm functional when the iPod Touch is asleep, and it would be nice to be able to use other apps while the timer is still running (hopefully easy fixes). Other than these two issues, it's a great app.

Random timer feature not obvious. I bought this while at a game party to use the random timer feature. It was hard to figure out how to use the random feature. It also needs to have an audio option for an accelerating beep to increase pressure as you get closer to the end of the random time.

Works as advertised!. If you don’t have someone handy to yell “switch!” at random intervals and would like an app to serve that function, this is exactly what you want! I use it in my guitar practice. The UI is simple and effective; the feature set is appropriate to the task.

Annoyed. Paid for app and it seems like it will do what I need but I am annoyed that after I pay I get the message that it needs to be updated and will not work with future iOS updates. Wo PD have been nice to know beforehand.

Great!. It does what it says, it’s a random timer! I needed this for an activity with students, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. I am timing between 15 and 50 seconds and anywhere in between this time duration the alarm will go off, and I announce special modifiers to my activity! It’s a lot of fun.

Doesn’t work, plays alarm constantly, not randomly. I set the minimum time at 5 minutes and the maximum at 10. About a second after I hit start, the alarm sounds and does not stop. I’ve turned off looping, I’ve tried stopping, quitting etc, but as far as I can tell, this app just plays alarm sounds continuously when started. I cannot get it to work at all. (Also, even if it did work, it’s disappointing that it doesn’t allow users to select their own ringtones.)

Perfect for Spiceball. This app has changed our lives. Before, we played Spiceball (the best game ever) and it was always ruined by a lack of random timer. Now, fart noises ring out when we least expect it. Everyone stays on their toes. Not only that, but my girlfriend returned to me. She left because Spiceball was lame. She heard about the timer and came back. She loves me and Spiceball now. I owe her sweet embrace to this app.

Perfect for Behaviour Modification. I was looking for a random timer to produce variable reinforcement schedules. I tried a few of the free options but they were buggy and unreliable. This app works great. It is very customizable as well. I could easily see this being used for other things as well as you can configure it to be non-random if you like.

totally useless. do not waste your money or time with this app, put it my Iphone 4 and on my wifes iphone 6, you cannot change the tones, the buzzer is not adjustable, you can barely hear the buzzer in a quiet room
