Maps to spots are rad!. Really appreciate the maps and overview of spots. Growing up in a heavily localized area you were told to keep quiet about spot locations. You folks have opened the doors and changed the game. Don’t have to waste hours trying to locate spots anymore. Times are changing and folks are being more open with their local surf breaks. Ignore the haters and keep up the good work

Consistently accurate. MSW consistently gets 8 out of ten points for accuracy. And that’s the BEST anyone should reasonably expect unless you are living at the break that’s being forecasted. For a model based system, they are the very best IMO. Sand, currents and wave directions do shift quickly which always alters current local conditions. Model based interpolations can’t be expected to reflect those nuances. While driving to your local break for a look works best for me, the combination of MSW and another site called “Windy” work great in tandem. Although both use different base data to create their respective models, and both are the best at what they do, combining each on any given day gives me the best model based analysis.

Key to my planning. I’ve used magic seaweed for a few years now and it is always the first app I check. It’s views are simple and clear and accurate. If things look interesting on a specific day I validate the forecast with other apps. I have to drive 2 hours to surf so accuracy is vital. I definitely consider this the best all around most user friendly.

Where is Jones Beach State Park?. I appreciate the info you provide to surfers; it is typically correct & useful. I live & surf year-round in Long Beach, NY. I have worked weekends as an ocean lifeguard & surfed during the summers at Jones Beach State Park, Robert Moses State Park, & Hither Hills State Park for the past 48 years. You may not be aware that your map places Jones Beach State Park incorrectly. West End, which is correctly located on your map is the west end of Jones Beach State Park. The east end of Jones Beach State Park is about 3-4 miles west of Tobay Beach, which is also correctly positioned on your map.

Most accurate surf app. The fact that this is available for free, essentially anywhere in the world, and covers a significant percentage of all Surf breaks is amazing. I’m only giving it four stars because the accuracy can still fluctuate more than is desirable, but it is absolutely better than nothing and hopefully your team will continue to work to improve its accuracy, as it is already a very valuable tool in surf forecasting

Love the stars. I like the interface and the stars. I wish it had a way to sort for the best spot at a certain time and day. I have lots of favorites but really only interested in the ones nearby today. Also it would be nice to have an indicator of how choppy and messed up it’s going to be. You should be able to tell by the timing of the swell.

More Accurate than Surfline. Just my personal experience but I’m not the only one with this opinion. Surfline may have a bigger audience because they hit the scene first but that doesn’t mean they have the best or most accurate information. I rely on Magicseaweed and from my experience it’s been less disappointing and more satisfying than Surfline’s exaggerated reports. Life’s short so I don’t need to waste my precious time chasing waves that don’t exist. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Great app - needs more clarification for new users. I love this app and I just got it. It gave accurate results the time I used it for Huntington Beach in California. The only thing wrong with the app is that, as a newer user, I don’t know what all the different conditions symbols mean. What’s “14s” mean? I know it means seconds but what does that mean out on the water? Or the arrow with a number with a degree under it? Otherwise I love the app and it has great metrics for people who are unfamiliar with it like myself and for people who are familiar with it. Thank you

Almost perfect. For the most part I love this app and use it daily. However there are two annoying things I would love to see fixed. 1. When I switch to fullscreen webcam on my iPad I have to turn the iPad upside down in order to watch the webcam. Seems silly. It would also be nice to have a landscape view of the app so I can continue using my iPad as normal when checking the app. 2. It would be great if I could create a custom order for the favorite spots list. Thanks for your hard work on this app. I hope it continues to improve! 🤙

All you need to stay up to date with all things surfing.. Great App! Fast, accurate and up to date information on current weather / wave conditions in your local surf spot or favorite spots around the globe. The news feed section provides interesting stories, videos and pictures that essentially serve as a quality surf magazine. A comments section helps connect you to the social media side of surfing as well.

Not a surfer.... But I love to watch them. We don’t get much of that on the Gulf of Mexico. I do like to walk on the beach every morning. I check this app for where the tide is (high or low makes a huge difference on the walk) I also like to go early so I check to see first light and sunrise. Finally on my Saturday morning beach read-a-thon, I can check and see where to put my chair so I don’t have to move 10 times. I have used so many other tide apps but this is by far the very best, and you don’t have to be a surfer to appreciate!

Awesome site!!. I’m a former surfer many years ago and now I am a photographer of many things waves being one. The information that you share is spot on and gives a great review of what’s to come i.e. the forecast. You have a very extensive number of locations to check out both in the United States and abroad. This is what you get when you are non-paying user. I can’t imagine what it would be like as a paying user, most likely even more awesome. Thank you for this website I hope you guys stick around for a long long time.

Best App Out There. I used to have to look up surf reports online until one of my coworkers showed me this app. You can add your favorite surf spots and get the current wave height for each of them on the same screen. I gave it five stars because there are no pop up advertisements. One suggestion I have now that iOS 14 supports widgets would be to make a widget for the Home Screen that displays wave height for specific surf spots. Thanks to everyone involved with creating this application and running MagicSeaweed, you rock! 🤙🏼

Magic seaweed. Definitely like the app very reliable and accurate as of wave height and wind always use this app before making several hour trips to any destination it’s better than winging it and being disappointed when the weather and water isn’t what is says it’s suppose to be like many other apps! All around great app!

Helpful content. 2021: I’ve started using MS about a month ago to give me an idea of the surf conditions at Doheny, since I’m just learning to surf. It takes a bit of understanding the forecast, but it seems to be accurate: tides, swells, wind. So I always know what to expect. 2023: I still refer to Magic seaweed for surf conditions in Oceanside. The Mobile app lacks the following: converting temp to Fahrenheit, hourly forecast of surfing conditions.

Cool. Morbius intrigued me because of its underlying story that gave a thoughtful and pervasive comment on George Floyd’s death aswell as the holocaust. The story is a fresh take and can be compared to The Godfather, apocalypse now, and the emoji movie some of the all time classic of our generation. Rumor is that ray liottas actual cause of death was at his utter sexual thrills being met by the movie, he could not survive the morbussy. My morbussy was soaked by the time ended and everytime I finger myself now I will be thinking of the movie.

Atlantique. I’ve worked as a lifeguard at Atlantique for over 35 years and I can’t believe that we are on Magic seaweed Thanx it’s awesome I use your website all the time in the summer to check the waves and tides. I used fair harbor because it was the closest beach about a 1/2 mile away on the ocean. The new Atlantique tides should be almost the same but the tide table that is being used is on the bay side. Any way you can change it to the ocean tides. I would love to hear back from you. Ronnie

MSW review. As a SCUBA diver, I always check the weather and the waves along with the swells to see if it’s gonna be a good dive day. It would be nice to know water temperature, jelly fish/sealice warnings and local Inlet waves. In coming/outgoing tides. I personally have been out attempting to go through an inlet where MSW has said FLAT and the waves were so big we were nearly capsized. That is scary to depend on a website and have that happen. These additions would be nice.

Great app.. The star rating isn’t dependable but the actual information on weather and ocean conditions is fairly accurate. I like the setup and can easily see what time tides are up and down, light and dark times as well. Plus they added more beach cams! One annoyance which isn’t on surfing info is the photo section. I live close to Oceanside Oregon and the page is blasted with people’s photos of Oceanside California. Most pictures are even labeled. It’s false advertising for our local beach but anyone who looks well enough can see it’s not Oregon. (No wetsuit or we don’t have pier’s). Same with Seaside Oregon.

best surf app ever!. So much better than any surf forecast app i’ve ever tried. i’m not a huge surfer, but i like to look at the forecast and plan when i can go ride the waves. with magicseaweed, it’s so much easier to plan and with this app then any other. it’s so easy and so accurate! the only complaint i have is it’s in celsius instead of fahrenheight, which is announcing because you have to google the conversions, but it’s the best and i totally recommend! ;)

Great way to plan my weekends….for most spots. Since I live in Seattle, every time I go surfing, I have a choice to surf the straight (northern coast of the Olympic peninsula) or go to the ocean just south of the peninsula. When this app says that Crescent Beach or Twin Rivers is having a 5 star day, it’s a little shorter of a hike for us to get some good waves. There have been a handful of times that we have been skunked just taking this apps ratings heading there. Because the difference is about a 4 hour drive, if we make a wrong decision due to an inaccurate prediction, the day is spent. I understand that it’s hard to predict but it seems like there is information that’s being taken from the coast and applied to the spots on the straight of Juan De Fuca. It can be firing on the coast and dead on the straight depending on swell direction. If more attention could be paid to that, this app would have a 5 star review from me.

Shame on you!. I loved this app until you required me to purchase the pro package to view the cameras! Why was it ok to have free access to the cameras for all those years and now it must be purchased? I patiently watched the advertisements and was happy to watch the ads in order to see the live camera feeds. Shame on you for taking that away, especially in this economy. Even a few dollars a month is more than we can afford. It is obvious that you care more about increasing your profits than helping surfers and beach goers know where best to go and enjoy the surf. I have erased your app from my phone; you will no longer have the privilege of my support.

The best surf forecast/report app. MSW has been my Go To for ages. MSW actually focuses on giving you a good product. Unlike other surf websites, MSW isn’t trying to constantly force me into a subscription. Weird, I know, but it’s nice when an app just does what it promises without ads and subscription offers popping up every 15 seconds. MSW doesn’t limit the number of surf reports and forecasts like that other surf site does. MSW simply just works and it works BEAUTIFULLY

Way better than surfline. The forecast is accurate most of the time, and that’s from someone who lives in a very fickle and spotty area. Much better of a deal than surfline is. If you’re between the two, this is definitely the better option in my opinion. My only issue with it is that sometimes the cams go down for weeks on end and I have to go to the websites the cams are streamed from to see the live feed.

Very accurate forecasting. I appreciate how accurate you guys are compared to Surfline in the Oregon area. I wish you guys had more cams to view in the Oregon area though. I feel like the star system is hard to gauge at times too, I’ve been on days where it was forecasted at 5 stars that were much worse than 3 star days so to somehow streamline that would be helpful. Thanks for all you guys do though

Best info an old salt can find. I only get to surf a few times a year at best. I try to plan trips that have a chance for a side surf session. I rely on Magicseaweed for info on surf breaks, their description, best times and up to the minute conditions and tide info. I have use it for years and wouldn’t trust another site. Thanks for many years of great and timely information.

Good basic info. I don’t understand a lot of the intricacies of Surf reports so I am basically looking at things like water temperature, wave height, and wind direction. Magic SeaweedProvides all of that and more in a basic easy to access app. I appreciate that I can get the basic information for free. Other apps and programs charge money for basically the same information and seem to have more complicated programs.

MSW best tide app. This is honestly the best tide app I can find out there. It gives you specific spots all along San Diego; all the other apps only have one or two stations along Southern California. It also describes each beach, with photos. It’s super easy to read, easy to navigate! I’m really bummed this app is going away. I have searched so many apps out there, and I cannot find a single one that compares to this.

Old Surf Dude. I like using Magic Seaweed because it’s always true to it’s reporting. I can trust that when I head out for a session, that I’m not going to be disappointed and fun waves are to be had. Another great quality about MSW is the fact that you can setup pin points for your favorite breaks so that when you’re looking to find a particular break and how it’s working, wether traveling or in your local area, you can quickly make an informed decision to head to your favorite spot for the best action. The MSW app is always up to date and working properly.

Thank You!. This is an awesome app, especially for a noob like myself. Gives me an idea of what I’m getting into and has given me a closer understanding of the relationship between wind speed/direction, tides, and wave period (speed), to know what conditions are optimal for me. I go out regardless, but it’s nice to know, even after a session, how the conditions impacted my time on the water. Thanks so much!!

So much better than Surfline.. Surfline Used to be great. But now it just feels like a huge corporation. Only today forecasts and expensive monthly fees for premium. And don’t forget the inaccurate wave reviews. But Magic seaweed has everything surfline has and better. Seven day forecast for free that feel accurate and have more information. They have more surf spots and a great description. The website was a little tricky at first but now I love it. Get magic see weed!

Magic Seaweed. The app is/was easier to use/better set up than Surfline. I get they merged but would be nice to still have the option for the traditional view. I still had the MS app on this phone and was able to use it since the merge. I had no option but download the SL app on my new phone last month. The only way I could get it to work was sign up. Give my email. I had already signed up years ago but didn’t like the SL app and went back to MS. I had forgot the password and used the reset. The feature was buggy and took 4 times to get it to work. Sorry for the long winded review but what it comes down to. The free Magic Seaweed app was far better than tge free Surfline app and you didn’t have to sign up to use it. Hopefully the SL app will improve with time but for now it’s a 1 star app in my opinion.

So much better than Surfline. Why is it better than Surfline: you get 7 days on the free account! Want the pro account? It’s less than half the cost of Surfline for an annual subscription. Easier to use, doesn’t waste space and require tons of scrolling. Gets to the point, easier to find your spots, etc. I don’t even need a pro account but I’m buying one because I want to monetarily show my appreciation for the app.

PLEASE ADD NOTIFICATIONS. I like most of y’all check MSW every day, but yall need to add the option of notifications when the swell is up in your area. You can add sliders to how big you want it to get before you are notified/ wind conditions etc. I surf, fish, skim pretty much every hobby i have is on the water and it would just be nice when im busy to have a notification go off and tell me a strong S wind is coming in if i got a early morning fishing trip planned.

Love the app, just one thing…. So I haven’t used magic seaweed a whole lot but I do think it’s very useful for finding surf locations. One thing I have noticed is that whenever you are reading the description of a beach is that if there is an apostrophe in a word, it’s replaced by symbols. Specifically †and a trade mark symbol. Here’s an example. If there's the word “aren’t” then it would be changed to “arenâ€TMt”. I find it distracting and it makes the text hard to read. Other than that it’s a great app! But please do fix this bug!

Best App ever. If you are a surfer this is the app you want because it shows you the best places too surf and it shows you how big the waves are out and how windy it is it shows you 𝕡𝕚𝕔𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕖𝕤 of professionals on surf boards itssss just soooooo cooooool 🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄🏿🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄🏿🏄🏿🏄🏿🏄🏿🏄🏿🏄🏿🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄🏿🏄‍♂️😎😒😎🙁🙁😎😎😎😎😎😎😎🥸😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎🥸🥸🥸😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎 just trust me if you are a surfer you want this app i,m only 8 years old and i love this app because i lovvvvve surfin so much even my mom and dad have this app because its awsome surfs up and plus no adds for free.

Major Beach not listed!. I know most people wouldn’t think of Chicago as place were people are using this app but they would be wrong. Paddle boarding/surfing, windsurfing, and Kitesurfing are huge sports here. The rules are strict here as far as where one can “launch” their boards. In fact the two beaches are Montrose beach and North Avenue beach. This is also where we store our equipment. You have North Ave. listed but Montrose beach. This would be in my opinion the best app out there if only Montrose Beach in Chicago was listed which is the Number 2 spot for this sport in Chicago. Is there anything that could be done to add Montrose to app.? Thanks

Dig it.... but I’d like to see a little more.. MSW has been my go-to forecasting app for years. I do wish I could customize the settings to notify me if one of my saved spots is predicting a specific “star” rating in the forecast. Say one of my spots is gonna have a 3 or 4 star day, I’d like a push notification. The ability to pick which spots I get noticed on and pick what star rating I get noticed on (1-5) would be legit. Let’s make this happen MSW! (If I can already do this, cool. Please tell me how lol)

MSW is good, but pays less attention to Texas.. I live and surf in Texas where our surf has some hidden gems. You have to be very knowledgeable to know where to find tubes, offshore winds, and quality uncrowded surf. I’ve used MSW for a few years now and noticed that the report is updated pretty frequently - a pro. I’ve also noticed that whoever makes the report doesn’t quite understand how swell hits different spots along the Texas coast - a con. For any surfer who knows something about Texas surf, he knows to pay little mind to MSW’s forecast and to just look at the swell and swell direction. I think that for any forecast everything else is pretty much impossible to predict with any certainty. MSW has plenty of forecasts in surf spots along the Texas coast, but they usually get everything wrong about the descriptions of the spots. Other than usually giving you an idea of when there’s going to be surf, MSW doesn’t really do much else unless it’s about the day before you plan to surf. MSW is easy to use, has a ton of features and cams and is helpful when planning trips. Would definitely recommend to anyone; even though it has its imperfections.

My Go-To Forecaster. Where all else fails, MSW rises above a sea of inaccurate predictions and over priced models. I always preferred magic seaweed over the others, but when swellinfo went down for a few years and Surfline locked anything beyond a 2 day forecast behind a paywall the choice became a no brainer. Simple and clean layout, and it’s easy to find any info you need within. Highly recommend.

Best surf forecasting site on the internet. Tried them all... Magicseaweed has the best layout, best articles, and the most pleasing presentation of forecasts. The technical information takes a backseat to usability, but is still there if you want to nerd out. Above all Magicseaweed is most accurate, which makes living a greater distance from the shore easier to invest the time to drive to the beach for a session instead of wondering if I’m about to “make the best of it” or have wisely invested fuel and time pay out with decent surf. Never thought of seaweed as magical before, but now I’m convinced it is true!

What the locals check. We love this app!!!! Find a webcam nearby and use it with this app to see if the report is true. Also really helps narrow down which days to pay attention to. We (my 8 year old surfs with me) check this app during the week and first thing when the weekend hits so we know what boards to bring. Haven’t gone to the Pro version yet but I’m so impressed with the free version that we’ll have to give the seven day trail a shot.

The best. Interested to see what the merge with Surfline does. I live in Texas where the surf is very inconsistent and magicseaweed is perfection, free reasonably accurate forecast, I like scrolling through the uploaded user pics of that spot, and always make not of the advice MSW gives you about a particular spot. I have a 4 hour drive to the coast so it’s not just hop in my truck when the surf is good, plus I work a Mon- Fri. $30 a month for Surfline is not justifiable when I’m only able to go once every 1-2 months. Hoping the merge doesn’t start requiring payment for a forecast past 1 day like Surfline.

Love the weeklong forecasts, wish more accuracy & spots around Lake Michigan. The app works well, looks decent, is easy to use, has a nice weeklong forecast and other helpful features, and fairly often gets the forecast right. My main complaints are that it often seems to lag quite a bit behind the buoy reports and NOAA info, and it doesn’t have forecasts for many of the best areas to surf in the Great Lakes. St Joe and Holland in Michigan would be really nice, and there should be at least a couple of spots along Door Co in Wisconsin.

Good presentation of mostly accurate data. No an easy feat to provide perfectly accurate surf forecasting for my area (NJ), however MSW seems to do a good enough job getting the gist across. The charts are high quality and they give you a good idea of what’s going on out there. wind is tough to forecast around here sometimes so I don’t want to blame them when their forecast is wrong but some real-time updates would be nice. like when it says it should be blowing 9mph SW but it’s actually blowing 30 mph ESE. Pretty frustrating. All the forecast tables are very user friendly and In depth however I really dislike the 6am 12pm 6pm layout. I think it would just make so much more sense to have 12am in there. even though you might not want to get out there and surf at 12am it’s still important to know what’s going on, I also think it just makes more sense report on even six hour intervals. Food for thought. Great app overall. Just wanna see some waze type of interactive live forecasting and a slightly more sensible forecasting table.

Underrated surf app. Surfline has become an ad-riddled monetized mess putting up paywalls for basic information; I can’t even check water temp after opening the spot page 5 times in 1 week! Magic seaweed gives you everything you need to judge the surf. Sure they don’t have the daily in-person surf report, but if you know how what swell periods are and the difference between onshore & offshore winds you’ll be golden. If you can finesse some free surf cams for a somewhere else you’ve got yourself a formidable Surfline replacement.

Love It. Pros: long forecast, pretty accurate, mostly free, chill, doesn’t list a lot of local spots on map (have to look them up by name) which forces you to get to know the local community and culture more personally (if you weren’t already) if you want to know the spots, the name of the app Cons: No surf cams, no local/written reports; just data, misleading star ratings for spots on any given day (local reports or better system would give more relative/subjective ratings to the individual swell, could be accompanied by an objective universal rating), Overall, great app, but has much opportunity to grow.

Basic accurate surf report app. I live a couple hours from the beach these days, so I pay for the premium 14 day report. For 3 bucks, it’s fully worth it. I’m busy, so it’s hard to plan surf trips. This app makes it much easier. It’s accurate most of the time, as accurate as a 14 day report can be. The only complaints are small and won’t matter for most. I do wish the app said which way the wind is blowing in relationship to the shore. It says the direction, but in Cali, not all beaches face west, so it would be nice to get a better description. That said, I’m sure if I weren’t so bad with a compass, I could figure it out. Many will scoff at this gripe, I’m sure. The other thing is the “nearby” feature. There’s straight up nothing there for any beach I’ve been too. Now perhaps it’s up to a business to add their info, which I understand. But if businesses don’t want to participate, perhaps just ditch the feature all together. All around, this app does what it’s supposed to do. I’m definitely pleased with the service at this price point. Bottom line: I recommend the premium version of this app. The free one is good too if all you need is a week.

Review. I like the app…it is free, easy to use, and I get the information I’m looking for on this site. How big the waves are, how much wind, and when it is happening. I live 15 miles inland, I can look up local beaches for info I want. I can choose what beach I want to go to given that info. I also appreciate it goes out 10 days. I can plan my trips accordingly. This year the waves on the Oregon coast are not all that impressive, as far as size. I want North Shore waves, but alas don’t live in Hawaii anymore. I watch it because I don’t want to miss a big swell when it does happen. Thank you for doing such a great job. I’m happy I have this app! Cynthia Muscat Mapleton, OR

Go to app for free surf forecasts. I’ve been using Magicseaweed’s website since I lived in Oregon and surfed Pacific City back in 08’, probably before that but can’t remember when I started using surf forecasting (yes I was alive and surfing in the days before internet forecasting, back then the newspaper-I am from Cape Fear region of North Carolina-was the source for a forecast, though then, as now, the most accurate forecast is still on sight forecasting), but its always been spot on in terms of predicting groundswell, there isn’t a surf forecasting program alive that I know of that accurately predicts wave height, which is a fickle thing depending as it is on so many factors including shifting sandbars in both NC and Oregon. When I say spot on I mean accurate for groundswells days in advance in my experience...it also has useful information about the various surf spots in your area and includes historical data, all for free. The historical data is quite interesting as it gives you the statistical average percentage of rideable wave each month going back to like 2007 for some spots, along with percentages of ground swell vs. windswell, average height of swell/wave for that month and average height for each day and maximum height each day. This is free!! Other forecasting sites don’t even do this at all. It’s not my go to for general weather forecasting, for that I use Windy, but for it niche, its the best you can find.

Amazing. It’s just amazing app to see the surf 10/10 would definitely reccomend for others this app is just so so perfect and tells me everything I need to know before going out to the surf

Great app for beginners. Great app that’s easy to understand for beginners but I would like to see more beginners friendly beaches mapped. For example, in Perth (West Aus), Key West at Mullaloo is a popular beginners beach that lessons are often available at. A forecast for here would be perfect before surfers move on to Trigg and Scarborough and busier places.

Decent. I like this app because of the good features it has, but the forecasts can sometimes be wrong. At least it doesn’t make you pay to view the surf more then 5 times *cough* *cough* Surfline.

Good site. I’m finding Magic Seaweed quite an easy to use and dependable site for information. Would have scored it a 5 from 5, but deducted a star as I’m somewhat disappointed that the very few free surf cameras are now gone….. can you not give us a few free cameras back?

Great app!. The pro feature with extended forecast is awesome and the star rating is really helpful. However, I have used it for a while now and still don’t know what it means when stars are faded compared to solid. Also would like a better way of looking at a region on the map and knowing where has the best waves for the day.

My go-to surf check. I’m not very technically minded, so I don’t use the app to its full potential. Just being able to see the wind and swell direction plus tide and wave heights is enough for me to quickly workout when and where I’ll be surfing over the coming 4 days. Oh, and there’s a star rating system for each 3hr bracket. Michael T Sunshine Coast, QLD

Magic Seaweed across the globe. I use this app to post sea conditions to my Triathlon training group in Port Elizabeth South Africa. My location is in Western Australia. With the 6 hr time difference it makes it easy to forward weather/sea/wind forecasts to the group from my remote location. Excellent source of information. Locally we use this app as a planner for our swimming, diving and small craft activities.

Best daily conditions. Good app, I find it’s really easy to read the star features, which makes me think of different locations to surf, and love the different surf breaks to choose from. It’s super intuitive. While not always accurate, it does provide a good starting point of where to look. It would be great if you could find where to find the best surf on the day within a state or a specified km radius from a map point.

Good for beginners. Gives good indication of how the wind and swell should be for good surfing at different breaks. Good idea with the star ratings. But… I am in Victoria, Australia. I have found that sometimes the data presented in MSW app does not reflect the actual data the the point nepean bouy is listing. The bouy data on Vic Ports website is better once you know the breaks and how they work. It is nice to have tides/forecast/swell height ect all packed into one app, just seems that the data doesn’t refresh often enough! Also does not account swell direction, not making its way past peninsulas and heads ect, for example point Leo surf break often is listed as 2-3 stars when it is flat.

Sarf til ya barf. Super spot on surf reports in most parts of the world. Currently in Nicaragua and it’s predicting the swell like Gandalf casts spells. Might even read up on things like directions and winds and swell periods one day when I pull my finger out.

It’s great for all skill levels. I Have just started surfing and a mate of mine recommended magic seaweed and to be completely honest , this app has helped so much in learning how surf forecasts work. The easy colour coding and the basic estimate on wave size is great for beginners and the extra info to choose ur perfect surf day is great for all skills .

Easy and correct. always easy to read and fairly accurate compare to other surf check apps I’ve had in the past

Love the simplicity. I love the quick access to the current situation and what’s coming up - in hours and in days - at a glance with all the different spots in our area. Thanks guys... stoked!

Best Surfing App. MS App is best I’ve seen with accurate detailed information so I don’t waste time going to the beach and being disappointed. The hourly projections allow me to time my surf to perfection. When I get to the beach I know exactly what it will look like.

Love it. Love Magic Seaweed... living a bit further from the coast than I’d like, Magic Seaweed makes it super easy to plan a quick trip down the coast for surf a few days in advanced with accurate swell forecasts. Use it all the time!

Accuracy in forecasting. I discovered Magic Seaweed ten years ago when a friend showed my their forecast for next day. The service I’d been using predicted 2-3 feet swell, NSW predicted 4-6 feet. Turned out MSW was spot on, and it has been every time since then. Great predictive ability, and realistic calling wave size.

Surf cams. I switched over to magic seaweed when the surf stitch app got shut down. It’s layout was pretty spot on. You guys were the next best option. Can you provide a link to local surf cams?

Better than expected. Really pleased with the accuracy of the for casting for my location at Phillip island. Easy to use with the right amount of detail. My only criticism is I would like to have the choice of wind speed in Koh with wave heights in feet. Cheers

Reeeaaaalllllyyyyy easy to use. The app is really easy to use and gives me the correct surf conditions all the time. Would recommend no.1. Better than any other surf app.

Almost perfect. I like a lot of the features especially the swell angle all the swell sources and the ability to adjust custom swell dice in percentage Swells generally arrive half a day later than the forecast says and the winds are not live so especially when cloudcover or evening glass it is actually offshore and app says onshore that should be fixed

Could add a couple little things to top this app off. I liked that Nobby beach had a description and difficulty rating at the bottom( good little feature) Maybe have more facts about other beaches for travellers looking for a spot Might be a bit far fetched but maybe for those of us that use the app for spearfishing too could add a water clarity section or something to help us with our favourite spots Otherwise it’s the go to app for finding a slab to ride for the weekend Thanks fellas

My go-to for checking surf conditions. At a glance, I can plan my week around the surf conditions because of the simplicity of this app. Nothing comes close.

Better than most, but...... This is probably the best forecasting app I have found. But there are a few places along my coastline that it consistently gets way off... Bells Beach is called about 4 ft bigger than the rest of the coast every day of the year.. yes the topography of the bottom at Bells can push swell a bit bigger than other spots nearby and sometimes it is even close to 4 ft bigger but every single day.. it’s just laughable.

Reliable, local & easy to use. MSW is the most reliable surf app for forecast/current conditions throughout all of Australia & the Indo Pacific. Easy to use yet detailed insights. New cam feature makes it a one stop shop

Reliable forecasts. I surf the east coast of Victoria, Point Leo to Flinders. Generally if the forecast is positive on MSW the actuality matches it. I find wind direction is accurate as is tides, very important in this part of the world. Stories and photos are also a good look if you can’t get in the water. Good work.

Decade campaign. This app it a vital component in my quest to get my kids away from screens and onto boards. It has taken 10 years, but yesterday they were both shredding all by themselves, and having the best time. Kids don’t like getting dumped. Picking the right condition with the app was vital to getting the surf vibe right to hook em!

Great surf predictions. Great predictions, accurate and generally great use of the long term forecast. I also love the long forecast it is very helful. I absolutely love the 14 day forecast so you can map where your gonna surf and what boards to bring. And also how accurate it it. It’s so much better than all the other apps Surfline etc

Great app for checking on forecast conditions. Have enjoyed using the app - have not found it to be fairly accurate - it’s a good indicator of future conditions and let’s me plan surfs in advance.

Best Surf condition site.. I check into Magic Seaweed first thing every morning to see what the waves are doing. Great to know the expected wave height, tides and wind direction. It is also good to look at the next few days coming up.

Perth Surf forecasts wave size incorrect. Perth Beach Surf forecasts for places like Trigg, Scarborough and Cottesloe need to have the wave size scaled down by 60-70%. The reason is the swell size is taken from offshore readings, however a Perth waves are always at least 1/2 the size due to the blocking effect of the offshore reefs and Rottnest Island. I’ve seen Cottesloe with bigger wave size than Margaret River!

True surf app stats. I’ve tried other surf apps and they’re all a little bit rubbish, either the Cam’s don’t work on all the sites you want to compare or their surf report is the same for 300 km radius. This one at least just gives you the specific weather conditions important to a surfer to know the places to be at. The only fault I have ever found is the wind speed and direction can be off, but its only been a few times. and the app asks for a review nearly every week which is getting annoying

Ocean swimmer. I use the app to provide an early forecast in swimming conditions to out ocean swimming group. It is usually pretty spot but I also use a second website for comparison and to get the wave energy rating. Would love to see the wave energy rating added here as well!

Accurate and clear surf reports!. The weather data behind this is way better than others I’ve used and the design makes it quick and easy to see surf conditions.

Flats710. Good sometimes varies from other local reports, but that’s the difficult task of forecasting... both MSW and others both face this difficult challenge. well done, good resource to use world wide as one of the tools

Great!!. Good to get an idea what the surf conditions might be. It’s good for checking the tides and more. It’s also good for checking the swell direction, how big the waves r going to be, how hard the wind is going to be blowing, and it’s also good for have a good estimate how big the waves r going to be. Great app Get now

Very helpful. Pretty good app to get a quick sense of what’s expected from the surf. Tide forecast would greatly help in getting a better sense of the conditions near my favourite spot.

Almost perfect. Everything about this app is a+ except for the fact that you can’t configure notifications for swell. I’ve always wanted an app that can just simply notify you if there was going to be swell over a certain size especially because where I live the local swell can be rare.

Great free surf app. This is like Surfline but free! Forecasts are excellent and being able to track your favourite breaks is awesome. Yes there could be more breaks but overall it’s solid and you can use your own skills to adjust the forecast for other close by breaks that are not listed.

Magic seaweed. Best surfing site ever it helps me so much like sometimes I’m like I want to go for a surf and say but what if the surf is bad then I say MAGIC SEAWEED it will help me so every day at 5:00in the morning I check my favourite surf stop and it tells me

Accurate surf forecasting. Magic seaweed is a great surf forecast app. It provides a good daily surf report for my local break in Western Australia, and the long range forecast is great for planning trips down the coast or overseas travel. Any account issues are always fixed quickly with the minimum of fuss. 5/5.

Very useful app for Bali. MSW provides an excellent service related to forecast and general conditions. The live camera view at multiple spots also helps greatly when piecing together a game plan on where to surf.

Such an awesome app!!!. I love this app. Just one feature that would be super helpful would be the display of star ratings for each location on the map so when you search the local area you are able to easily see where the best waves are going to be. Keep you the great work.

MSW. This is amazing! easy to understand and use. Super reliable too! Many options/features that let u see ahead into the forecast makes planning a trip such a breeze, definitely would recommend!

Great app. Very intuitive interface, and reliable forecasts, with lots of information, even in the free version: swell height and direction, wind strength and direction, and surf height at specific spots. I'm giving it 4 stars though, because the wind information, which is also colour cosed, is not always consistent, e.g. red is used for strong or onshore winds, but not all the time.

Please keep exactly as is!. Please don’t change anything!!! Really really appreciate that you give a week long forecast for free… Big kudos to you & the team!!!

Don’t leave us like this!!. There’s no other app around that is as clear, concise and generally accurate as MSW. Why must you end it like this??? Time to give up on surfing apps 😪

Good app. Good app with pretty good predictions of surf conditions. Recent problem: being pressured to start paying, once in a while I am blocked from seeing the forecast. But I wait, and then it’s back to normal. Other than that it's awesome.

Surf report. In depth accurate. The only thing I see that needs to be added is whether that particular beach works with that swell height and tide … for instance some breaks won’t work unless there is a minimum 4-6ft etc.

Amazing app. This app is an amazing app if you are either getting into surfing or already started surfing, it shows you everything you need to know about the surf swell, the wind and everything else that you want to see as well as the extra few things like a camera to show you the current surf and that is why I have used this app so frequently because it is the best app on App Store for surfing

Awesome app must get!. If u love surfing and looking at forecasts that predict surf conditions and show many other details this is the app! Magic seaweed shows so many details about the particular surf spot ur viewing on the app giving extensive detail of the surf break that no other app I have seen offers. Must get if ur a surfer or bodyboarder!!!

App is dead. Don’t bother downloading. Developer, just remove the app?

Great App. Great for forecasting but don’t really trust the wind readings as they’re not consistently accurate. Wish there was a longer forecast on the free version but it’s great all the same

amazing info!. It’s accurate and shows the best swell so you could go rip up some waves. Love this, life saver!

Swell. Great app

Love it. Help to see where best surf is

Amazing app. Easy to use!. Great app!! Highly recommend for surfers.

Surf. Thanks. Love knowing accurate tides and winds.

Excellent reference. I use it for planning hiking activities! It gives. Quite reliable predictions of weather. Okay

Great App clear and concise. Provides what you need in an efficient way

Love this app. So great

Great app. Been using this app for a few years and have been loving it. I use it at home to help me with surfing the greats. It’s more helpful when I’m away and in the ocean but still great regardless

W app. Ong amazing app love it

Love MSW!!. Great website, I check it all the time to see what’s going with the waves I wanna surf

Works well. Great app, I use it all the time!

Nitai Vardi. Good but why ads

Love it!. Gets me where I need to be at the right time with my camera

Magic seaweed. Very useful. I run the open water scuba diving for a local club and find the site very helpful in picking calm sites! A button to toggle between US numbers and metric would be handy.

Thanks. Your surf reports have made it much easier for me to understand where and when to surf

Good acuracy at some places, not so kich at others. Still provides good information and is mostly accurate, but certain spots couldnt be further from the truth

Amazing App. Such an incredible tool for planning our surf days!

Great resource. All the information you need, most importantly: accurate!

Great reports. Great reports, it’s free and you can add as many locations as needed. Always accurate with water temp and swell too

Wow I like. Is so good I like use it all the time thank

Canadian surf. So much better than surf line. Please don’t go. The simple charts at a glance are so much easier to navigate then the text that surf line generates.

everything i need!. works great. perfect for tidepool hunting.

Very helpful. This app is fairly accurate

Surfing. Very good app to have and easy to use

Msw. Love the forecast!

Nice and easy to use. Easy to use to see the tides, forecast and water temperature. Maybe needs the option for wind in knots with waves in feet

Great app. Gives me the info I want and it’s free. What more can I ask for?

Easy to use and understand.. The app is easy to use and understand.

Best App. Very good app to see the spot to surf

Helpful. Great app

Magic seaweed. I live 90 mins from my fav surf spot. I rely on MS to let me know whether it’s worth the drive what board to bring and what suit to bring based on conditions. ❤️

Very useful for travelling. Not sure what the pro have to offer. But the app as is seems to do great

Great app. Very good when you’re planning your surf trip !

Looking good from afar. Difficult to figure out the app and get it to work but once it works camera clarity is very good thanks Still learning the app

Axecellent,. I find I get all the info I need right in this app Is it bad that I look at it nearly daily lol.

Great easy surf report. Gets you there.. It’s my first look every time.

Josh. Great app. Use it all the time.

Great app!. No complaints!

MSW. Great surf app with plenty of info even in the free version!

One of the best. Need just optimize the reports of remote spots. I mean, provide more details.

Great app. Awesome app and good coverage of my local spots

Useful app for planning sessions. Love checking this app to confirm conditions prior to heading out … very useful!

Great info!. Use this to get the tides for walking the beach. Tides, sunlight etc are so accurate. Not sure the temperatures are but I don’t use it for that. Highly recommended.

Global surfing. Good app. Usually pretty right on with the forecast as well !!

Great App!. Very useful! And a wonderful user interface!

Good. Pretty good

Great app for surfing but more details for Canada please. I love this app, it gives you a pretty good idea on the best beaches to hit ahead of a surf day. Love the charts and what to consider at each beach. But please provide more details for Tofino.

Forecast in free version. I don’t surf often enough to justify a subscription but Magic Seaweed offers a full week of forecast with their free version. Definitely recommend even with another surf app. I’ve found they each offer something different. Thank you Magic Seaweed!

Great Surf App. By far the best. I use Surfline as well, but with the new having to pay for info junk Magic is my go to for sure. Always has great tide insight and has never steered me wrong. Using this combined with Dawn Patrol is a must for any surfer who also has to work a real job and need to watch for the best day they have off to surf.

Good for a free ap. Love the fact it links to maps to get directions to new spots. The star rating system with light and dark stars for ratings threw me off now unless it’s 4 fully filled stars it’s no go for me. There are areas in which I surf that I wish I could pin with gps coordinates and get the surf report for the loc. especially when those spots are over 2 hrs away. For my local break it’s pretty consistent

Easiest forecast to read. I’ve been to a few apps,This has the best long range forecast, easy to read. The only small complaint is that some days there waves are rideable, but the app shows zero stars. I wish there was some way of knowing if you’re something rideable out there in the summer. But it’s the same with all of the apps I’ve seen.

Magic seaweed and me. I’ve learned over the years how to watch the forecast . Although it’s not perfect I’ve adapted to their view of the forecast and my years of knowledge to predict the best days . I scored many good days and knew other times when not to even waste time on going to the beach . Keep up the great work!

Great surf forecast app!. i’ve been using their website for a couple of years now. as soon as i heard about the app, i downloaded it and it’s better than any other forecast app or website i have ever tried. I use it to plan ahead for future surf trips, and it helps me plan where i want to go. definitely a 5 star app

Worth it for planning surf days. Specific break info not that useful, but overall swell, wind, and tide is helpful when paired with experience of a known surf location. 14 day forecast is accurate enough, but the swell often shifts by a day or two over two weeks. Weather is as weather does.

Love the app would like more. I feel like I’m one of the last if not the last person to comment on magic seaweed. Surfline isn’t the same it has some cams free but the app itself isn’t the same. It has less spots and no pics of the surf spot. You will be missed magus seaweed.

Accurate!. I am occasionally staying at the beach, and able to look down at the waves. Often it looks like surf I would like to go into and enjoy. However, I have learned to trust the accuracy of Magic Seaweed, for example to let me know when things are too big for me. It is accurate!

Kook opinion. As I’ve started my surf progression this year I wasn’t sure what would give me the best chances for good learning conditions. Waves in NH can be far few, and between days so it can be tough. Using MSW I’ve found that I can locate some decent conditions with fairly accurate forecast and directions. Solid app and will be getting the pro version mid season.

Awesome, free app to check surf. When Surfline changed their settings to only three checks a week, I sought out other apps that would allow me to view surf reports for free. MSW offers full week in advance forecast! The only bummer is that there are no surf cams, but I have really enjoyed using this app.

Make no plans without checking Magic Seaweed. I’m a diver and this is my go to app to figure out where the surf isn’t going to be, as beach diving includes carrying everything through the surf zone, knowing when the waves are great or the interval is quick is important. Easy to use and easy to trust.

Great app!!. Solid forecasting with consistently accurate data for multiple points at nearby surf spots. The layout is user friendly and simple while also providing much more sophisticated and detailed data for those needing the finer details. I go here before any other sir app, and so should you.

Way Better Than Surfline!!. I’m so glad a friend of mine turned me on to Magic Seaweed! To think I was actually thinking about paying money to just get a basic forecast for surf blows my mind. Magic Seaweed is free, to easy to use, and gives you reliable surf forecasts that are frequently updated. If you surf and don’t have this app, do yourself a favor!!

Helpful as a cross reference. I’ve enjoyed Magic seaweed but I wouldn’t rely on it fully for correct data. While it’s forecasting abilities on the cleanliness of waves tends to be quite helpful it’s sweep magnitude can sometimes leave much to be desired. I typically like to use magic seaweed in conjunction with Surfline and Swell info to get the most full and accurate picture possible.

Quality App. I used to use Surfline religiously when I lived in America for the cameras and my assumption of reliability, however since moving to Central America I found that Magic Seaweed is much more accurate and I found my self using it more. This is the first app review I’ve ever wrote, but I thought it deserved it due to my satisfaction and hope for sharing my experience with others

Forecast is generally accurate. I’ve been using Magic Seaweed for at least 3 years now. The app is great. The accuracy of the forecast was better a year ago, but has been spot on last couple weeks. Definitely recommend it for the new surfer. Easy to understand and shows plenty of information. I would have given it a 5 star if the winds were a bit more accurate. Great app. Definitely use it.

Love it. Love magicseaweed, it has a lot better spot specific forecasting, I’ve hardly ever seen it wrong in the PNW. I usually use this for specific spots and Surfline for region forecasting. My only problem with it is it never stays on my Pro subscription. Every time I reopen the app I’m on basic and have to go restore my purchase to get it to the pro side. Only reason I dropped a star ! Love it otherwise ! Good looks MSW 💪

Track record you can bank on. Over 20 years of relying on a surf report from someone you can trust to be right has always been a challenge. I’ve been using MSW for a few years now and have been very pleased with the percentage of time they are on the money with their report. No one and I mean no one likes to hit the sand and stand there in utter disappointment over surf conditions. Thanks MSW

Great Service! Accurate Data !. Magic Seaweed is my Go-To for planning my surf trips. Considering the cost of gas these days, it definitely saves me a lot of mileage and money to be able to access professional assessments of live data to determine if my trips will be worth the haul. Thanks Magic Seaweed 🤙🏽 - Sky Live (#livintheskylife)

Love the app, just bummed there’s no cams. I love MSW, super easy to navigate and correct surf forecasts, but I was bummed to find out that most spots don’t have cams after I purchased the premium feature that promised cams. I emailed them a while back and they said they were working on it but nothing yet. Seems to only be a cam for nazare and some east coast spots. If there were cams for many more spots (especially Southern California) that would be great. Only reason it’s missing a star. Great app in all

Pretty good forecasts.. Pretty good forecasting. Would be more willing to pay if I knew my $$ were for forecasting and not articles. At least the marketing toned down from a few years ago pumping up pro surfers. I had pro version, but not willing to pay it any longer. I just want conditions. Stick to conditions and make the annual fee less, you will get more subscribers. We don’t want to fund surf explorers or influencers.

Accuracy. I find this app to be relatively accurate compared to others and mostly accurate compared to others. It supplies many more spots as well. Though it’s impossible to be exactly right with the weather and forecasting this soo does a great job! Thanks for being free too!!

Easy to use and generally accurate. I only get to surf once a month or so due to being landlocked in college. Forecasts are generally accurate and easy to understand and even without paying for a full membership offer forecasts a week in advance, making it easy to plan your next trip.

MSW is Awesome. I use MSW along with a few other sites, but the accuracy, format and charting is so easy to understand, I always have to reference. Updates often and the free features really make this site one of the very best, especially for those with limited time off and strict mission strike needs.

My feedback. Your app is awsome, the only thing i belive is missimbg is a map with all the spots markered. For example i am in greece and i know that strong south winds are coming, insted of me going through every spot to check the waves it would be great if i could check the map first to find a specific sujested spot based on its geographical location

Accuracy. WSW is a good site but lacks the true accuracy of incoming swells, and storm tracking tools. In the world of surfing today jumping on a plane to catch a great swell is normal. Before leaving you have to know the true forecast, or you might get skunked on some inaccurate calls. More video feeds would be nice, so look into putting more videos of breaks. That's about it!! Shane Horan

Love the forecast. The forecast is always so accurate. There are pictures and videos too that you can look at if your board and stuck inside. Also you can pick where you want to look at I really recommend this app.

Helpful with trip planning.. I drive 7 hours both ways for each surf session so I have to make sure I’m not going to get skunked. Some of the local spot forecasts aren’t always accurate but all the information is there to make an informed decision.

Magic. I use this and Surfline, and both are off sometimes. But you get the overall picture. The swell chart seems to give you the best idea when swell is in the water. Overall cool app, lots of different spots to check out and read about in the overview which is a nice little feature. Whenever there’s swell, I’m looking at Magic Seaweed. My go too!

Great, up to date surf conditions and maps. As a novice I appreciate the up to date look at wave conditions, tide schedule and winds. Only suggestions are to define the terms used in the app & links local resources (based on your location), more video content like tips and lessons, which might be available in the Pro version. Keep up the good work and thank you.

Everything in one app.. I love the Magic Seaweed app. I’ve been using it for over a year now and have found it to be extremely accurate! It’s important for me to know the wind speed and also the height of the waves. As a photographer it has been an invaluable tool. THANK YOU Magic Seaweed!

Makes me look like a veteran. I love this app! I have lived in California all my life, but never have surfed with a board, only bodysurfing(please forgive me). But my second childhood has been fishing with my 17’ foot boat. I really only fish in good conditions and thanks to Magicseaweed I haven’t gotten beaten up by the swell and wind. Thanks guys and gals, oh and I only keep the fish My family and I can eat.

Great App. Surf reports are pretty accurate. Easy to find areas close to you. No need to populate all your local surf spots. They just pop up automatically. If you want to look at another location you just scroll down on the map and tap on it and you can get the surf report for that location on the map.

Best source for free multi day surf report. As someone who enjoys lots of ocean activities, I find MSW as one of the best sources for local marine and surf conditions especially when trying to plan activities a week in advance. I do find however the surf size reporting is more generous than Surfline but all in all it lets me know in general when the best time to go for it!

Magic seaweed. This app is very accurate and helps me know when to surf! I would recommended this app to people who like see how big the waves are. You can add multiple favorite places around the world that show up and how big the waves are. This is a great app that I would really recommend!

Best easy to use app. Been using magic seaweed for years. I’m a novice at best. I probably only paddle out 4 times a year. But love reading the report and trying to see what it means when I get in the water. Would love to see “ideal” conditions, as it seems my local spot is best on a 1 Star 2-3ft day... anything bigger is a mess.

MagicSeaweed Crushing Forecasts ☀️🌴🌊. I’ve been using this app as my go to source to check what’s going on in Florida’s hotspots! Sunglow and Ponce are my local favorites and Sebastian Inlet my all time favorite. Whether you are looking to do some serious stomping out there or simply relax at the beach, you can always trust the surf cams to be dialed in for an accurate report.🏄🏻‍♂️ To Blue Skies and Gleaming Green Florida Tubes!

Pretty good app to be honest. It’s a good app and the wave forecast is pretty accurate with it sometimes having the waves 1 feet smaller than they actually are. It’s difficult to read what some of the signs mean besides the wave size but overall it’s a pretty good app if you just want to know what size the waves are without freeballing it and not knowing what size their gonna be.

Overall great app. But there’s some room for improvement. Wind speed sometimes seems off from what’s actually happening. Would be nice if there was an easy to find info button to explain the different columns of data. Like why is the surf smaller than the swell at times? What’s with the side by side wind speed numbers? Is one for gusts? Would it be possible to add sea temp forecasts?

GREAT. I live for apps like this! I have been using MSW for a year now and not once have the tides or swell conditions been incorrect. My only request would be that you add Bethany Beach, DE as a location. Even though it is a tourist beach in the summer, it can be pumping in the winter and I would like to just check the app for conditions. Other than that, it’s all good.

Surf Fishing Resouce. Give this app a try. I’m not sure how I stumbled on to this particular app, but I’m glad I did. I don’t surf. The detailed data provided for large numbers of specific locations is entirely useful for planning for surf fishing conditions. I have found forecast data matched up very well with actual conditions when I get out to the beach fishing. I use a separate app for tides. The beach/surf tides are absolutely accurate here. For fishing, having detailed data on the rate and magnitude of tide change as well as tide times for inland tidal marsh locations is the only reason I need more that this app.

Used everyday. Great 5 Day forecast in order to plan ahead, I appreciate the real time updates every so often. I wish the accuracy was a little better further out, but I can understand accuracy would be hard to achieve with the inconsistency of north Florida. All and all gives you a good idea on what to expect.

Sometimes. I’ve been seeing the surf in Ormond Beach as about the same you report. BUT, you report the wave highs and the tides accurately. Your wave intervals are a great guide to me. Please keep it up. I’m a 74 year old surfer. Our local newspaper gets it wrong a lot. Last week the surf was as you reported it. Lotsa good waves. Our News-Journal on line stopped reporting ocean and surf conditions. You’re all that I have now.

Why you should use!. I have tried multiple other surf apps to check the surf near me! All of them claim to be “The Best” but in reality this is… you don’t have to pay and it is super accurate. Other apps like Surfline make you pay to view the surf and water temp! Definitely download this app!

Better than surf line. I found your forecast for the day more accurate than Surfline. Surprising, your report for today south shore Oahu Publix differsFrom local news (channel 5) -you say 2 to 3, channel 5 says 4-6. The only adjustment I would suggest is for you to set forth the present tide level at the time one seeks a report. Makes a difference at Publix because of the shallow reef when tide level is .6’ or less.

Super Surf and conditions Report. It’s really nice to be able to know what the Ocean, wind, and tides are doing everyday. Easy to use, and very accurate. Thank you for making life easier, and taking the guess work out. No more driving down to check the Surf and it’s Flat.

Helps you find the swell. I won’t say that Magic Seaweed is a perfect swell forecasting tool, but it’s pretty dang close! Most of the time, it is very accurate and I use this accuracy to decide which spot to go to for my surf sessions. As far as the application, it is very easy to find what spots are in your location by using the map or the spot guide. If anything, Magic Seaweed is another great tool to have for finding swell!

Add new location plz?. Hey I give this app 5 stars no questions! It’s very accurate and helpful. My only complaint is actually a request. Please add the Pensacola beach pier as a location on this app. As a surfer and skim boarder around this location the tides and swells tend to be different than the other closes beaches on the app. Other than that I will continue to use this app no matter where I am, it’s amazing! Thanks for listening!

Quick surf check. Great app. Easy to read and have non surfers be able to understand. Love that there is a live cam at some surf spots. The only thing I can complain about would be that the predicted winds are usually far off but can deal with it. I use it constantly.
