A must have. This is the one of the must have apps for route planning, intuitive easy to use and I would give it 92% accuracy rating. It’s my go to when moving boats up and down the east coast. Never rely on just one app for you weather

Newbie sailor happy with Bouyweather. I’m a new live aboard sailor. Bouyweather shows me what is coming and helps me plan passages. I like the graphics of the charts in addition to the numbers, easier for me to visualize what the waves will be like.

Best in class. Free version provides robust near-term data; premium version provides valuable longer-term forecasts. I’ve used a variety of similar apps and this by far the best of its kind.

Great for Fishing. This app does exactly as it claims, giving accurate weather forecasts for your chosen area! Easy to set up and read.

Sea of Cortez. We just finished a 10 day Cruise. I would not have left if I did not have this app. From San Carlos Sonora to Bahia San Juanico to Bahia Los Muertos and back. Never had to worry about weather and hurricanes because Buoyweather was right on the whole trip.

Easy to use. I find it very easy to get the report for the offshore places I am interested in. I have not signed up for premium yet but may do so in the future

Fishing. If you like deep sea fishing then you need this app... anytime I go fishing I always check Bouy Weather first to check the weather it tells you which way the wind is blowing and how high the waves are. A must have app!

Very Accurate. I’m always skeptical of anything related to predicting weather, however, this app has impressed me over the last couple of years. Although the premium version extends the forecast to 16 days, my experience is to trust up to seven days. After that it drops to a 50/50 scenario… still not bad since predicting Mother Nature can’t be conquered. If you’re a boater, don’t think about it any longer, buy it.

Very good app; needs tweak!. Glad I hit this for our trip to Antarctica. Felt great knowing the Drake Passage would be calm on our crossing. Will now use it on all our water-crossing trips. Sadly, app is not intuitive. Difficult to set favorites among things needing tweaking.

Great App. Very detailed with the weather. I go to this app when I want to see what the seas are doing before I go fishing or boating.

Accurate & Worth Purchasing. I purchased the Premium version & it's definitely worth the value. I need to see weather offshore, several days in advance, & BuoyWeather is among my best sources. I highly recommend this app!

Excellent app!. As a coastal cruiser, I find this App very helpful in assessing offshore travel conditions. I use it frequently to decide whether to venture offshore or cruise the ICW. It’s one of my primary weather Apps to assess conditions. I recommend the premium version.

Very Easy to Use and Reliable. When you go offshore this is the app to use as you plan and the day of your trip. All the data is in one place with easy to understand data and graphics. It’s a must have app for me.

Great app but too many error messages. I think they don’t have the necessary server capacity to handle the subscribers. If you like error messages and constantly reloading screens which is super annoying when looking at several locations in trip planning you’ll love this. Takes 3-4 times longer than it should. Error messages come up 50% of the time. App info is great when you can get to it but expensive for such terrible service.

Definitely use for offshore. I’ve used Buoyweather for several years when going offshore as one of the ‘tools’ in deciding when to leave. It’s a great resource.

Great weather app. I’ve been using this service for last 13 years and trust them with the safety of my crew and boat. Highly recommended

Going to the Bahamas ?. We use Buoy Weather mainly to plan our trips from South Florida to The Bahamas. There’s nothing better than a smooth trip and no other app gives us such accurate info. With the 16 day window we are able to make plans in Maryland and get still get the best flight fares to FLL, after checking with Buoy Weather. Is say to use and I’d say affordable but the price is no factor. Buoy Weather is our go to app!

Delete this app immediately. It is dangerous. Ok DO NOT depend on this app. This app said smooth seas and light winds 5 -9 knots today. I went out to Sanibel lighthouse and had to turn around. Seas were 5-6 foot with heavy chop. Winds were over 25 knots. I honestly thought we were not going to make it back. My niece is tramatized now. If I could give this app 0 stars I would. DELETE right now!!! And the maker of this app needs to be SHUTDOWN now!!!!!!

Bluewater Cat. I have been using this app for many years and in different areas. It’s has been as accurate as anyone could ask for, based on predicating Mother Nature! I rely on it for seas and wind and it’s rarely off by much! I would buy it again

So far, so good. It’s been easy to use and I just got it. Will be checking the accuracy next weekend, but so far the predictions have match what has happened. Am considering the upgrade, but it’s a little expensive.

Great product from a Guy who Builds a Website. Guys, this App is solid. Hasnt given me any glitches yet and provides tons of information I need days before going out. It was spot on in what it said for my last trip out! I am currently building a site for my company Autohitch and I can tell you its not easy, so what I see here is quality stuff! Download and pay!

Excellent wave forecast. We use this when we are planning on fishing out of Stuart, FL. It is more accurate than any other app I have seen.

Useful app. I’ve been using bouyweather for a few years with good luck and simplicity . Keep it simple buoyweather,and don’t screw it up bouyweather!

Deceptive Content. The app indicates that wave heights are not available, however from NOAA, they are. There was a Small Craft Advisory in effect the first time I used the app, but the app gave no indication. The app gave me the indication that it would be a great afternoon for boating, but that was not the case. Use at your own risk, or go directly to the source for the information.

Stay Away!!!. Garbage. It may be wonderful according to some but that assumes you can actually login and use the app. They took my money for the premium package very efficiently but after registering and jumping through all the usual hoops the app would not let me access the premium data. They have no phone number to call for support and after emailing several times to their support email I have still not heard from them. Had apple support reverse the charge and I will continue to use my other 2 sources for marine weather.

The only reliable source for me. My only issue is that the email services is not working

Most reliable. I’ve been using this app for 4 years+ and it’s very accurate. Hasn’t let me down yet. Updates frequently to give you details about the conditions. If your a fisherman ir mariner. This is a godsend.

Overall good. I love the app it’s the best/most accurate app I’ve used for fishing my only reason I give it a 4 star is because premium cost to much$$$.

Seas forecast. This app comes in very handy to find out the most current weather information for particular area. Better than the weather app alone. Also give you information on the specifics of what to sea chopWhich comes in handy for those of us with smaller boats they don’t want to get the living hell beat out of us! Lewis

Great app. Been using this app for two years. Not perfect but seems to be more accurate than others I have used.

Amazing app.. I have been using for years different Marine weather apps that gives you a forecast, but by far this is the best of all, not only it gives you two source models, it gives you a 7 day and a 16 day forecast which is very helpful in preparation of long trips, and with very accurate information.

Great App. I've been using Buoy Weather for several years and have found it reliable and easy to use. The recent overhaul and redesign of the App has made it even better. Very easy to navigate around and organized in a way that gets me the important info first up but allows you to drill down as desired.

Seems quite accurate. I use this for offshore forecasts in the PacNW. I love the extended forecast option and ability to pay monthly (we only get offshore in the summer). It's pretty accurate.

Great app. I just started using this app and I like it but I’m not sure if the information it’s reporting is correct or not because I was down alone side Castle Island in Boston ma and it was flat Calm and the app was telling me 2ft waves

My go to app. I have tried other apps that provide this data buoyweather is by far the most accurate and reliable. It is my go to app.

Impressive real time data. You come a long way baby! As the software continues to evolve and improve so shall the improvements. There's is one thing that I want to see in the future. Information about the run and their migration patterns? Knowing more about where, what, and when would be sweet for the haul. Keep up the great work!

Best and most accurate app for seas condition. I refer to this app before planning any trip. It puts NOAA to shame with its accuracy. I have many favorite areas set up for easy reference

Buoyweather. This is an excellent app but you have to remember the seas can and will change very quickly. Always be prepared for anything.

Trusted information. Buoyweather helps me to evaluate sea conditions prior to committing to a crossing. The data is presented in a user-friendly format. The data is as accurate as any other source, and I always use several. This is a trusted source.

Use it Professionally. I Capt a private yacht in Bahamas Caribbean and have used BW for 8 yrs everywhere before the above mentioned. Easy layout to use and accurate. Would like to see rain sun clouds symbols to round it out for a daily weekly view. Love it will continue with my premium package

Junk. The 7 day always comes up with a server error. The 16 day only works half the time and I get the server error the rest of the time. The arrow that should provide weather in your current location generally has me 200 miles away from where I am and sometime on a different continent. And this is the premium versions that is $100 / yr. needless to say i won’t be renewing. It’s like someone forgot about this app....it used to be better.

Bring back the additional modeling. With the recent update there is now only one model to consider. The prior beauty of this app was to seeing forecasts through the lens of various models. The update has stripped it down to one model but still charges the same amount (I’m a subscriber, but possibly not much longer)

Gone off the boil. Bouyweather has really dropped its bundle. Nothing seems to work on the website, you can’t switch between the 16 and seven day forecast easily everything falls over and you can’t contact them. None of the tutorials work. And the price they are now charging is double what they had before and it used to work better

Very poor app. This is useless - you have to log on to view or save favourites - poor process - no details about the cost to become premium member. Needs lots of work to improve. - 10

Two thumbs down. Can't log in. App is slow as. This app needs major work and in my opinion shouldn't have been released until it worked. Was looking forward to an app but definitely won't be using this one :(

Thumbs down. I pay $70 a year as a premium member. This app isn't worth 70c It's slow and very inaccurate. I won't be using the app util it's fixed Logging in to the site is how I will use it for some time by the looks!

Disappointed. After being a premium user for many years I am disappointed I don’t have the option to access the 7 day NCEP forecast with the latest upgrade, I found the NCEP forecast to be more accurate in in area that I operate. I would like to have the option.

Extremely poor support. Purchased premium, not provided access but took the money. No response to requests for assistance to actually get access. Very dissapointing!!

Hopeless. Doesn't even let you set your location. Makes you scroll to the location, asks for Timezone, units and then just kicks you back to Nth America every time to start all over. If you haven't given up and left the app by this time, you can't actually find any of the familiar views you're used to on the web anyway. Rubbish!

Deducted Funds without permission. 12months ago I purchased premium. Buoyweather has deducted another years premium from my account without authorization. There are no active subscriptions on my iTunes account - request admin make contact with me

Pointless. Doesn't support iPad (no landscape autorotation).

Boating. Best offshore fishing app I’ve found. So far it’s been very accurate. Wouldn’t fish offshore without checking it first. On land forecasts have caught us out many times.

Bouyweather. If the computer version is rated at 5 this iPad version is rated at minus 10. Needs lots of work to get it up to usable condition. Favourites is a complete joke.

Weather time is fishing time. I enjoy this App so Living in Tasmania you need an accurate weather forecast to optimise your fishing time and choice of what direction to go in this app hasn't let me down Tight lines and fish safe Karl

Inaccurate information on Wind and Waves. I have subscribed for a few years. Just resubscribed but the wind and wave info differs from the map and drop Dodson menu. It cannot be trusted. Just checked against other applications and whilst Buoyweather shows northerly winds others show southerly winds. Buoy weather shows northernly wave/swell and northerly winds. It is not possible. Too many discrepancies here for me and quite dangerous if you decide to trust the reports. How can I get a refund, I just resubscribed??

Only two days, no water temps. Does not provide water temperatures, as claimed. Only two days' forecast provided for surface conditions, constantly prompted to upgrade to very expensive paid version. Regular weather apps are better.

Deep Sea Trawl Captain. Have used since app started Best information Best Accuracy time after time The information provides me the data I require to predict my options for fishing areas and allows me to bring in Full Loads and keep my crew safe. Wouldn’t want to fish without it. Has been the most accurate app for me overall.

Worst forecasting… ever. As I type this, I’m watching 50cm rollers on shore with nearly 1meter swells in the bay of north lake superior in the Thunder Bay region. Meanwhile, the app says “0.1cm light swells and calm sea” I’ve had this all for a few years and it’s never been correct or even accurate to the current conditions. I assume the app gets the details from another service, so the app isn’t to blame. Who ever they get the data from is inaccurate for this region.

Terrible. Everywhere on Lake St. Clair it says you are on land. St. Clair is part of the Great Lakes System and its not even recognized?!? Horrible app

Unreliable.. Works intermittently.......Constant "Keep trying again", message even though it has provided the info before for the same location. Again, same message for areas where it is obvious that weather reports should be available. I'm deleting and moving on.....

Buoy Weather. U can be in the middle of lake Simcoe and the app says you are on land. Not reliable at its best.

I did like it. In the beginning, I loved it (and almost paid the big bucks for the year subscription. But lately, it crashes soon as you try get a forecast for an area. Hope there's a fix soon. Maybe too late to get me to bite on the hefty price tho

I liked the 3 models. The recent update went to one model. Since the 3 sometimes were different i liked knowing that there ain’t consensus of opinion. More info is better.

Jetski trips. I use this when riding my jet ski far off shore on both Lake Superior and the ocean. (Alaska and Florida). It’s a great app which helps me stay safe when crossing large bodies of water.

Nothing will load. I don't know why but it just won't work. Nothing loads, I keep getting error messages.

Just download app but cannot register. Wanted to test it and I download it but I cannot register. Error message. “The operation couldn’t be completed. User not found”. Help. Cannot use app now.

Best Ever!!. I have used this app for years, up and down the east coast and Caribbean. It has never been wrong.

Had to delete. Would not allow me to “register” or open the app.

Not impressed. Difficult to navigate in this app. Whatever you do do not skip the show location question. Impossible to get back to allow the app to access your location. Not impressed

Beware of the trial. The free trial period is only seven days when you sign up by the app. When you download this app you will get an email that will tell you that it is 15 days. This is not true. You will be billed for the full subscription, if you do not cancel within seven days.

Great app for Great Lakes or Florida. I use this app when I summer in the Great Lakes and when I'm in Florida from October thru June.

Horrible. Save your money - this app is absolutely horrible. When you open the forecast, you can’t close the screen without having to end the app and relaunch. Seriously bad.

Ripoff. I was supposed to get a 7 day trial and it charged my credit card when I registered. Went to my subscription and there was no trial period. Beware of the scam.

Login-get with the times. The login for this app is incredibly clunky and horribly designed. After using this app for many years they haven’t upgraded much. Really disappointed for what you get compared to what you pay.

Offshore Fishing must have. This is my best weather app for offshore fishing. Spot on accurate.

Accurate Forecasts. This is a great app for our coastal waters here in Southern California. I use it often and can verify accurate results in the San Pedro Channel.

Truly Global. This app works greet outside USA territories. I needed this for Belize and it works very well.

Yacht Captain. Excellent app! I am a professional yacht captain and rely on the app constantly to keep me informed on wind and sea conditions. Highly recommend for the money.

User not found. Just downloaded the app and was asked to either sign in or register. I have never been on buoywrather so I tried to register my info. After entering my info, it says no user found. I will be deleting.

Cannot retrieve weather for your geographic area. What a waste of time downloading this. Haven't gotten a weather report once from it.
