So so. Works when it wants to. The free version worked more often. If you use this you'll have to double check to make sure the computer is off. I use (try) it with 2 PCs and an iMac. This app doesn't function well for either of them. UPDATE: stopped working on me. Doesn't login to any of my computers any longer. Ah well. Guess I should have read the reviews. Back to VNC and logmein. I thought I could find a better solution that's faster.

Best app ever. I put this on my brother and stepbrothers laptops and when they get deep into their nerdy games I turn their laptops off...it's funny bc they think it's their batteries...,

I am lazy. When I am too lazy to go down and turn off the computers. I just lay in bed and turn them off. Works great.

Works like a charm!. The app works perfectly. I have them paired with my home workstation and use it when I am watching movies or tv shows and am lazy to get up and turn of the screen or computer. The only thing I would want to add is being able to remotely turn my computers off when I am away from the wifi the computer is on.

Greatest App Ever!. By far this is the best app I have ever purchased. I have bought many but this is the first that delivers on what it promises. It's nice to be able to turn off kids computers who fall asleep and leave them on.

Just what I needed!. A sleep timer and remote for my two macs? Fantastic! Couldn't ask for anything more.

Great App, Excellent Communication. The Shutdown and WoL feature works perfectly. Of course the latter requires some moderate modifications to the bios and NIC driver; however some cursory Internet research will reveal how simple those modifications actually are (semi-pro tip: your computer must be hardwired to your modem or router in order for WoL to work). I also wanted to say how pleased I was with the swiftness in their reply to an inquiry I had about smart home integration (in case you are wondering IFTTT is out of the question for security reasons, completely understood). Overall, well done and I will be keeping an eye out for other developing apps from this company. Cheers!

Simply... works!. Cool, works also great like VLC-Remote! 2 Hint's for the sixth-star: First: Give the pc-tool a auto-boot. Second (more important): Make this app buyable in the VLC-Remote-App... more infos in my e-mail ;-)

Bad Support. After the update to sierra, there is a bug that makes it impossible for the program to use. I contacted support and received this response. Here is the conversation: I'm afraid I haven't had time to investigate this further so I can't give you any more info. If you feel that you have been mis-sold, then the best bet will be to contact Apple to ask for a refund (I have no power to give refunds myself). Sorry I don't have a better answer.

D:.. I can't believe I wasted 3 dollars on this app, but totally worth it, no difference then the free version but when you're tired and you don't wanna wait for the dang commands, you should buy this version.

Flawless!!. If you have VLC remote, you need this handy little app as well. After you are done watching a movie you simply shut off your computer with this app. You don't even have to get up. It's the ultimate in anti-fitness.

works like a charm. this handy little app does exactly what its supposed to - simply, efficiently, without any problems. I use the (also highly recommended) Wake app and when I'm done I use this app to put my PC back to sleep. Wonderful! I love it when technology works correctly at a reasonable price.

This app is EXCELLENT. Not only is it convenient for turning off your PC, but if you unknowingly install it on someone elses computer, you can shut it off without them every knowing! It's hilarious I promise! Hahahaha ;)

Smart App. Another smartly designed app to save effort. My VLC Streamer pc is two floors down from my bedroom floor.

Great app. Have a htpc tucked away in a corner connected by a long hdmi cable to the living room tv. This app is great for putting it to sleep if left logged on - no need to turn tv on and go through he steps to make it sleep, much quicker to check if it is awake from this app and make it sleep.

Kids hate it, we love it,. Great app that gives parents control of kid's computer time. Tell them they have 20 minutes, set the app, and listen for the scream for when the computer locks. The kids can go read a book or something.....

Brilliant!. I was looking for an app that would let me shut down my kid's computer from downstairs after hollering like an idiot for the fifth time and getting nowhere. This does that and more. The ability to send a warning message and set a timer are awesome features. This is going to save me and my wife's vocal cords and politely but firmly set boundaries for my kid. Nice work!

Works great!. I love this utility! This coupled with my iTunes Remote allows me to listen to music anywhere in the house then shutdown on my way outside. Plus I can check to see if I accidentally left my Mac on too. Fabulous!

Cool app. I use it for my HTPC. Works like a charm. Very easy to setup and run. For all those people that think it will just magically turn off your PC, you need to realize that there is a server application that needs to be running on the PC you want to remotely shutdown, restart, lock, or logoff.

Yet another winner!. Hobbyist software has got to be one of my favorite iPhone software companies for the fact that they create simple, easy-to-use and yet feature packed applications. This application is great and I recommend it to anyone thinking they might need a way to turn their computer off. Only thing I wish for is a built in wake-over-LAN. If I could wake my computer from sleep while in this program, that'd be great!

Great remote app. I use this along with Remote Desktop and Mocha Wake on LAN (mwol) to remotely control two desktops over wifi from my phone. Also lets me shut the computer off when the kid's screen time is up.

Great Program. Nice little program. Works like a charm. Love the timer, it's nice to know all my computers get shut down even after I've gone to sleep. Don't hesitate to get it.

Needs helper app. There are free pieces of software that do the same thing and don't need yet another piece of software installed on your PC. MS Remote Desktop can COMPLETELY control your windows machine, is free, and written by Microsoft. Mac remote control is tricker, but it also always remote power on functions. All in all, this app is ok, but I don't do apps that need "helpers," since you don't know precisely what info they are/aren't sending out to the Internet. Helper apps can EASILY be spyware in disguise, even though the author didn't design it as such.

Does what it says. Works well, easy to set up, reliable. I do wish the wol feature worked better. I know it's an unadvertised free feature, but if it worked, this would make the iPhone into the ultimate media center remote.

Great little App. This is a very handy App. I use it with my Macbook Pro and it does the job. I would definitely recommend it!

Fantastic app!. This is a simple, easy app that anyone with a computer will appreciate. Setup is dead simple, and it works great with all of my PCs (XP, Vista, and 7). It's great to have total control of my PC's power state from anywhere in my house.

Off. Man every thing about this app works great WOL (wake on lan) works flawlessly i love it i love it i love it and every thing was easy for me to set up:)

Worked once. This app needs work. Everytime I use it it added another line for the same computer. It was at 7 the last time I checked it won't save the passWord Error messages flashing Wow what a POS. Such a simple program and they couldn't get it right

Should be already installed. This app is so great that it should be a standard to your iPhone like iremote I love this app I use it all the time with my Mac.

Great app!. This app does exactly what the description says it does. Would like it better if you could turn on the PC as well. But still great!

Not working after update. Will now put computer to sleep for 30 seconds and then turns back on magically. Other options (off, restart, etc) either do same or nothing at all.

Does the job. Works pretty well. Wish it had the ability to turn off and sleep remotely (dynamic DNS).

Turns off computer.. Does exactly what it says it does. It's fun to type messages while someone else is on the computer.

Works Great!. Have installed on 3 PCs. Reliably shuts down each on command. Developer very responsive to issues/suggestions.

Disconnects after command sent. Ok so I use this for 2 computers. 1 for a old windows 2000 pc which is my dads and one windows vista pc which is mine. Wehn I use this with the windows 2000 pc it works fine and never disconnects, but when I send a command to my windows vista such as "sleep". Right after I send the command the pc disconnects with the app/fone, but my dads old pc doesn't have tht problem. And when I send the sleep or hibernate command my pc sleeps and or hibernates for about 30 secs and then the screen just turns itself right back on. I want to turn my pc off in bed without walking to the pc itself and holding the off button for 5 secs to turn it off. Fix this and itl deserve 4 stars. Get a " turn pc on" button and it wil get 5 stars. Thank you very much

Wow!. This is really great it's just a little shutdown menu to make things more convenient should you have the need. Works flawlessy with no wait time. The software is a no brainer. If you can make it to the website just download it and run it, enter a password and it disappears. Then download this app and everything just works by itself from there on out! Perfect! Worth a buck for anybody who ever leaves their computer on at all. Thanks.

Very Happy With App. I use this app to limit my son's PC time and it works great. I have two feature requests. One is to configure automatic warning messages that go out periodically. My other request is to extend the control to Apple devices. I would happily pay more for both features. Great App.

Great app!!. I just love this app. I have a multi computer household and it is VERY convienient to own this app. Instead of getting up out of bed or coming back inside or while in the car about to leave... I can just go through the list of computers and make sure they are in the mode I wish to leave them in! Very cool. It's a must have for those who have multiple computers in thier network. Parents too, you can turn off your kids computer if they won't!!! Also, EXCELLENT support from app author. I had a very minor issue with my install and contacted the author. I wasn't ignored and he didn't stop communications untill I was satisfied. EXCELLENT APP!!!!

Great app that does what it says!. This app is perfect for limiting your children's use online and remotely shutting down after streaming movies at night into the bedroom. NIL complaints, works great. Those complaining that it only works the first time you set it up the solution is simple. Give whatever device you install it on a static IP address every time it boots up. Otherwise it will only find your networked device if by chance it selects that one when it boots up. I had issues when I first got the app, but the developers were absolutely fantastic via email in assisting me to work out what was going on and how to fix it. Just find your computers 'mac' address, punch it on to your router to make it a constant and away you go! Keep up the good work guys.

Works like a charm. I tried the free version, and was instantly convinced. Real easy to set up, and the best bit is that it works on mac and pc!

An okay application worth having. I found the application a little hard to set up because I didn't know you have to save the password then reboot it and perhaps my Mac, but after a bit of fiddling around I have got it to work well. My only real gripe is the instructions seem a bit threadbare and while it works well a few metres away from the Mac the remote application didn't give me the reassurance that it had shutdown my Mac when I told it to, but eventually it seemed to and I'm pretty happy with it and I think it is worth having and hopefully subsequent versions will have these issues dealt with properly. I forgot to say it does seem to work with Snow Leapord.

Approve. Dont like the fact that you need to pay for something like this, but its worked 100% of the time and responds quite quickly....

Well worth it. Well worth it if you, like me, find yourself wondering "is my computer off" or needing to turn your computer off after getting into bed and remembering. Or even while on your way out of the door, rather than unlocking and going back inside to turn off your computer, just boot up the app and switch it off easily! Love it :D simple easy to use interface, straightforward and intuitive. Great work guys!

An ok app with some bugs. Useful, simple and does its job, but as others have said, it's unreliable in connecting to your computer at times.

Waste of money. Completely unreliable connection and yes I did follow all the setup/troubleshooting tips and it was setup fine. It can't connect when the Mac is asleep which, if you want to turn off a computer that's been left on and forgotten about, is a pretty critical feature. Don't buy it.

Works well. Most of the time, and when it doesn't just turn wifi off then on I find that it works for alot of wifi apps

Erratic, undependable!!. This app is a useful concept with poor execution. The app shows erratic behavior and many times takes aeons to locate the computer on the network. Totally undependable. I complained quiet a few times to the developer but all i got at the end of it was that "may be my network's difficult". Its difficult only with this app...... Wonder why???!!

Inconsistent and inaccurate. The 'lock' command logged my Mac off completely instead of just locking the screen. Rename it to 'logout' as that's what it does. The user interface needs refinement and the icon needs the standard iPhone app 'look' with the square and rounded corner surround. Looking forward to an update though.

Good but time consuming!. Works well when it does but often requires me to reopen it 5+ times before it displays / opens my networked computer. Sometimes it displays it and just won't let me cluck on it.. Very weird at times!

Doesn't play nice with another app!. It works great on its own. But does not work well with air video app. Conflicts. Some kind of network issue between the two. Had to uninstall. Too bad.

Love it. I find this app very useful. It's nice to check to see if my computer is asleep when I'm in bed or if I'm downstairs. I am one of those who don't like to waste electricity, so I never leave my computer when I'm not using it.

Brilliant. Brilliant app for monitoring time used on the Internet. We give our daughter 60 min each night and can now enforce it. We also like sending messages to her pc - no longer need to yell for her. :). Thanks for a terrific (and inexpensive) app.

Doesn't work at all. Installed the app on my MacBook and there was no way to pair, and I had to uninstall it through safe mode. Absolutely worthless.

There is no way.... There is no way to wake the computer up once you press sleep....i was thinking i could tap my iphone screen when in the app to wake my computer..thad be cool

Malware Detected!. Microsoft Security Essentials detected a trojan "hroosguy.dll" after installing the accompanying desktop software for this app which proceeded to infect and cripple my system. If you value the security of your machine and the data on it, stay clear of this app.

Needs Wake On LAN. WOL is a much needed feature. Since there is a PC client, there should also be a PC app that works with the client. Power Manager from Peepleware has the same features but HAS a wake on LAN feature integrated. Power Manager has a companion helper app as well (needed for non-domain connected PCs).

Last update broke the app. It worked perfectly UNTIL your August 14th 2015 update that you put out. Now when i try to send a command to sleep or power off using the app, NOTHING happens. Please fix this

📢 Not Good, Please Read. 📢 It really messed up my PC, I had to uninstall and then reinstall some of my Applications on my PC that Wi-Fi affiliate it due to app HOGGING All of the resources Wi-Fi Applications needed to run.

Nope!!!. So, great, you can turn the computer off or put it to sleep. But you can't wake it up. What's the point??? Wasted my money.
