Simple, easy & good one. !!!

It’s pretty good, but…. My only real complaint about this app would be the fact it doesn’t separate the different frequencies in the history. I would like to have a running history of each of my routers and their respective frequencies. Instead they are all shown in the same history report. Otherwise, it is okay and seems to be fairly accurate against my provider.

Quick and simple. I like it!. No pop-ups or adds like other speed test apps. I like that!

Good App - Easy to Use. I am very satisfied with this app. I would have rated it 5 stars if there were more options to select nearby servers. I live in Charlotte NC and I know there is a server in this city but the closest one the app selected was 66 miles away and the next closest one was in Atlanta, which is 200 miles away. As a result my download speeds were rated less than I know they actually are. If corrected I would enthusiastically endorse for 5 stars

Evidence. I used “ speed test”to prove to my internet provider that I was not getting what I was paying for.

Simple and easy. Gives a choice of a hundred or so servers so you can judge the efficiency of your router, modem, ISP, and other equipment that is used for Internet hookup. Clean and uncluttered look and feel. The only complain I have is I can't find an option to turn off ads, or for that matter, to pay the developer.

Results aren’t accurate. Results can’t be trusted which defeats the entire purpose of the app.

Fine troubleshooting tool. Simple Speed is a terrific, easy to use app for troubleshooting my local network. I have a cable modem and two wireless routers in my house. When the network stops working, I need to find out whether the problem is the cable provider, the modem or one of the routers. Simple Speed makes it easy to test each router individually to identify which box is acting up.

Accurate. Works well, fast and accurate. Less you choose your own server.

Even Better!. Such a big improvement over the previous versions of this app, and its very accurate for both 3G testing, and WIFI testing. Love the fact that my results are now saved for me so I can go back review and compair them. The ability to select a specific speed test server is a real nice touch add and makes test accuracy better.

Why don’t they?. Why oh why does one have press a button to start the speed test? The reason to be there not to look at the “glorious graphics” but to do a speed test. So why the additional step.

Awesome troubleshooter. We have areas in our house that drop calls or take forever to down load information. A millennial 😀 turned us on to this app! Simple speed pinpointed exactly the rooms we had trouble and then we were able to put in a wifi extender right where we needed it. Simple speed then proved it worked! Now we can tell people it's their cell service carrier and not our house!

Awesome app. Does what it is supposed to do with a minimum of theatrics. Love the history page. Great tool for diagnosing local connectivity issues. Numerous connection locations help identify temporary bottlenecks in closest servers.

CONSISTENTLY ACCURATE❗️. I've used most of the speed test apps out there and this one seems to be the most consistently accurate. Most have problems with server sites that tend to make test results unreliable. This app seems to have a very reliable and stable server targets that makes test results a benchmark for comparisons.

Speed test. The speed test of my iPhone. 5Cs download speed was not or could not be completed. No explanation given. It just showed 0.00 whereas the upload speed did register consistently at. 0.89. Which leaves me wondering if this app does not test download speeds at all, or if there is something wrong with my wifi or iPhone. No comments or suggests or help button and no FAQs. I'm totally in the dark and disappointed. Esp because it took me hours to get this worthless app downloaded. Hohum.

Settings. It seems to be very easy to use and is very user-friendly. There is also the problem. There are no settings from what I can find to set my location. I have used this for several months and always thought it knew my location but then I noticed that it said my location was 11 miles from New Jersey. I am in Chicago and would like to see a way to set my location so it is more accurate. Every time I start it I have to scroll through and pick Chicago to see what my speed is to the city since I live in the suburbs. Picking more than one server is a feature you must have because even though I can get a very fast connection to the city, when I pick other cities across the country, especially going west, the speed will slow down as it hits bottlenecks at other network points which are good to know.

Cutting the cards on your cable company. This is a great app for measuring your wifi speed. With data from this app I am able to determine that Charter Communications does not deliver 60MBPS minimum as they advertise. I know what download speeds are before I frustrate myself by trying to stream Netflix. If only the cable company used this app to determine their infrastructure is inadequate to deliver advertised speeds!!!

Horrible, horrible. This app was good before the recent "update." Redesign means no list of previous tests for comparisons; incredibly slow; no upload test; etc. Re-designed for one thing only: to sell the ad at the bottom of the screen. Note how the ad banner is the same size as the title banner, which draws your eye to it. Note also how the dial, which is nonfunctional, is partially obscured by the ad, which also draws your eye downward. There are other free speed tests out there. This one, which I have had and used for months and months, is now being deleted by the person who is me.

meh, no point. no way to compare, massive download for the speed test that would've taken 30 minutes at the rate I was getting (and no way to change that). this free version is only good for testing your wifi speed.

Simple, cheap & easy - consistent reliable res UI lts. Overall I'm very happy with this App. It provides all the information required quickly & reliably, and is very simple to configure & use. It has always worked well & given consistent results, which are generally in agreement with a variety of other more complex and detailed testing methods I have used (ie. are within +\- 10-20%, which is as good as you can expect from any repeat tests of this type, regardless of the App/Program/Website or method used).

A worthwhile app to keep your internet provider honest. I’ve recently up graded my internet speed to 100 and for the first several weeks there was not difference in my speed so I rang the supplier and confronted them with the facts. That same day my speed increased.

Needs a location index. On first operating it opens in the USA so I would suggest that the writers have a opening search index so you can peg in your local location and get your local speed also a selector for your local provider with a distance

I switched from Skymesh to Aussie Broadband!!. Whilst their speeds are an improvement from 1.3Mbps, I’m still only getting around 10-12mbps down in the evening on a 100 /40 plan - pretty ordinary IMO. Might be moving on pretty quickly! Ray

Original version was better. The previous app (Speedtest X HD) was abandoned and replaced with this one, which is worse, because in this version, if you don't have location services on, you cannot do a speed test. It won't let you. You can't even choose any servers because they don't appear on the map if you don't have location services turned on. What if I have wifi and would like to choose a server of my choice without location services choosing my location for me? I could do that in the previous version, why can't I do that here? Disappointed.

Bad. No ability to choose alternative servers. I recommend the speedtest.net iPhone application instead. More accurate results.

Awesome. Before version 7.0.0, it was ok I guess. It would work on speeds higher than 10mbs and almost never lower. Half the time, it never recognized there was wifi here at all. But after the new update (7.0.0), it instantly worked for my wifi speed (a little over 1mbs.) I am now extremely impressed.

Disappointing update. I liked the previous version of this app a lot more than this "completely redesigned" version. The new interface is overly simplistic and stark. The old interface was far more attractive. Also, the app didn't work at all after the update until I changed the default server. (This may have been a server issue that is unrelated to the update, but an app update that doesn't work after the update is suspicious.)

Great App. Use this app all the time, great app to hold my ip's feet to the fire on "so called" average speed. Dropped 1 ip who promised 4 Mbps but proved only .7 Mbps, and caught current ip delivering 25 Mbps when had upgraded to 105Mbps. Forced current ip to issue work order and corrected to upgrade speed. Love it.

Works good. I've had this app for a long time. It's fast and simple. It always works for me. I don't use it often but it has never failed. I have a usage limit on my satellite internet. Using this app lets me know what I've been throttled down to if I Exceed my usage limit!

Simply Perfect. Great App for wifi triage. Helps me tune my home wifi coverage and for friends and family as well. Was able to argue discount with our ISP due to history of actual speed versus what we were paying for. This app put me on the path to finding a better router and wifi utopia.

Best app I've come across!!!. This is one, if not the best, iPhone speed test app. Does everything I need and more. Plus the interface is just incredible.

Great WiFi test. Easy to use, easy to Tweet results, and really like the history report when I have to contact Comcast on problems. Too bad it doesn't track how many times "unable to connect" in the history. I still highly recommend this app.

I like it. It's quick and easy to set up. Interface is clean and simple to use. There's a good selection of servers to choose from. And a big plus is that there is information included available on screen within the app.

Prior review: This is my updated review. Easy to use. Clear graphics. But three sticking points. First swiping to delete a saved result doesn't actually delete the result. Second, I personally am willing to pay to remove ads and the developers do not offer this option. Third top speed on the dial is 72 Mbps. Some setups actually can run faster.

Helpful!!. I use this app when I'm not at home to tell if I should even bother trying to down/up load using someone else's wifi. Surprisingly, I found I was getting better speed at my doctor's office than I could at home.

Very good results. I notice that most poor reviews on this app were posted 1-4 years ago. I’ve been using this app for the past six months. My download speed with Charter Spectrum through my Netgear wi-fi router varies anywhere from 60-90 mbps. I’m totally satisfied with this app!

Great app. Use for troubleshooting my wifi in different rooms to make improvements in my wifi coverage. Have to say it worked like a charm and it gave me the download and upload speeds easily and simply. Again, great app.

The de-facto Speed Test Standard. Yes, I will admit that I have other apps that use to measure network speed.... but I only use them in the rare event that this app isn't working. Simply put, this is the best one out there from what I've seen. Highly recommended.

Incorrect. This app shows a very and I do mean very incorrect view on the speed. I know for a fact that I am getting higher than 6MB/sec per sec. And I am sitting a foot away from router. I tried on different app and it shows 70MB/sec. Which makes a lot more since. My Internet provider Guarantees 50MB/sec. Don't waste your time on this app. If I could I would give this a zero star.

Good speed test. This works consistently on I phone, iPad and iPods. The results carry with the performance of the device somewhat.. That is to say that later devices will get faster times. This test helps on rating your cable carrier. My carrier advertised that " uploads are as fast as downloads" the test confirms this, but both speeds are worse than our previous provider (begins with C)

The ISP listens to proof. I was paying for 12 meg service and barely getting 2.5. When I called to complain with the SpeedTest results they dispatched a Tech and found the problem.

No iOS 9 Compatibility - does not open. WARNING: Does not open in iOS 9.0 Before I upgraded to iOS 9.0, the app worked amazingly well under all versions of iOS 8.0+, however, after the recent upgrade, the app does not open or work at all. So for now, it is useless. Last update on the app was in May, I doubt there will be a new one to fix this anytime soon. ⅕ for now.

Simple Effective Valuble. This does just what it says, push test button and does a download and upload speed test in 30 seconds and displays on a screen. How fast you can download is the equivalent of signal strength for a radio.

Location. Three reasons for the low rating- there are lots of speed testing apps and this latest update doesn't set it apart; the app has difficulty determining my location; the only new feature in the update is a popup that asks you to rate it five stars- not to just rate it like many apps do, but it asks you to rate it five stars. It's not the companies place to tell me how to rate their app.

Horrible!. I bought the paid version years ago and it used to work great. After reading other reviews that there were issues with iOS 9, I thought it would be fixed by now. I actually downgraded and installed the free version as the paid version no longer exists and can't be updated. Free version gives an error every time it tries to connect to server; regardless of chosen location. Get things back how they were and this app would get 5 stars

Great tool and easy to use. The tool works very well. It is easy to use. After download, you push the button to test. It tests the upload, download and pings. It keeps a history of the tests as well. It works as advertised. There are advertisements in the app, but that’s expected with free apps.

A must have. I use this app almost everyday. I use it to see how fast my connection is where I am. If it's a shared signal I can gauge if I will be easy surfing or watching a movie.

It is what it is.. Very simple testing app that does exactly what it says it does. Does not save history. Is not fancy or have hip slick and trendy graphics because then it wouldn't be simple. It's perfect and the price is right.

Works fine. I have not encountered any of the problems that the other reviewers have. I am using iOS 9 and this works fine. I have used it at different locations to check the speed of my connection. I am very satisfied with this app

Needs work. It is able to pick a server that is within 50 miles or less. However it is only able to test against a few servers which seem to max out at 10 in this area. My cheap cable connection is more than 5x that speed. Ping time is close to accurate. My upload speed is capped at 6 and it gets that fairly decently too.

Very Good App. I have enjoyed using this App. It does what it is supposed to do, including providing lots of information regarding other networks. However, I have not discovered a way to delete the history. I would have given it five stars if the history could readily be deleted. WH

The Best. I have tried nearly every Internet speed test app out there and this is the easiest to use and gives very accurate results.

My go to app for trouble shooting.. Whenever I suspect network issues I immediately run speed test to get a quantitative view. It's a staple on my phone and tablet. Reliable and easy to use. A mobile users best friend.
