Great speed test app. The history feature makes this my favorite speed testing tool. Fast and reliable. It is not slowed down by a slow connection like some of the others out there. This one does its job quickly no matter what your ISP speed issues are. Nothing worse than having to pull your hair out when the slow speed your trying to test is not affecting the app’s performance.

Handy app simple and easy to use. Using the app since 2013 speed test of any network you’re use is useful to know the download speed rate... the app is enjoyable and accurate enough compared to website based speed test.

Good app - love to see more. This is a good app, or use it a lot. Works well. I do not mind the ads they are not intrusive and they help the developer. I would however like to see a Wi-Fi scanner added. Specifically the ability to see how strong the signal is. Possibly even a cellular analyzer to see how strong my cellular connection is.

Great Speed Testing App. This app is my go to place for measuring my internet speed. It is very easy to use (even a caveman can do it 😉), and I believe it to be very reliable. You can easily change servers to more far away places to get more accurate speeds, as it is in most cases highly unlikely that the server you use is within 100 miles of your home. I would recommend this app to friends and family.

It's alright. When you launch the ISP map it always takes you to some random New Jersey town. Why can't it show my current location which is thousands of miles from NJ? If you're running dual sim, run a speed test, completely close the app, change sim to the other provider, reopen this app, and run a new speed test it will register your results for the previous carrier. The ISP map would be so much more helpful if it displayed users results in a hexagon format instead of pin drops. Some of my results have registered in Dallas which is 4 hours away. No I am not using a VPN.

I’m very impressed.. I have had several applications over the years plus many companies providing Internet access. They make wild claims about their up and down speeds. This application proves them either right or are blowing smoke. This application have no irons in the fire and only provides numbers that are much closer to reality that what salespeople say.

My favorite speed test app no longer works. It’s been my go to app for testing internet speed on all my devices. It has been solid and reliable for years! Since the recent iOS update the app stopped working completely. Developers - can you please provide support and/or an update to the app that fixes the issue? Thank you!

"Don't go without this app!". This keeps the carriers on there toes or at least proves your getting what you paid a pretty penny for. I cannot tell you how many times I've seen my service not providing full speed. Today it's slightly more. So nice to see! Just switch providers and went w/ Century Link gigabit internet @ $65 per month for life it is the fastest internet I’ve ever used by far... Showed My Supplier❗️. I showed my internet service that I was only getting 10-15 mgs and they said I was getting 35-47 mgs. I got my one year half price. I also received $100 off my new upgrades. I just couldn’t believe that I was getting hundreds of dollars back. Quick and practical. I started using this to troubleshoot internet and Wi-Fi issues at home. I like how it catalogs the scans so I have dates and times to match up with the ISP’s performance. I can give them this data and it’s helped me prove we have issues, when and to what degree.

I like the support. I use the app quite often and like the way it works. I was most pleasantly surprised when I had an issue and contacted support. I got a very quick response and it turned out that the issue was not with Seedsmart However he explained what the problem was so I can resolve it. Outstanding service.

Good internet test. We live out in the country where the maximum hardline download speed is 3.4 mb/s and the only hardline available is AT&T. Though our WiFi router stays up, our internet service frequently goes totally down or slows significantly. I use Speedtest to troubleshoot my service and support my reports of internet problems.

It works perfectly every time. Download it!. I use this app quite frequently as the internet where I live can have a kind of its own when it comes to speed. Instead of wondering what’s going on, I just run this quick, reset what I need to, and get back to what I’m working on. Always a consistently great application. Thank you for making this one!

Great app. Even when Verizon makes me use there app service to test with, SpeedSmart stands up to their numbers. And I would trust SpeedSmart numbers over a company that constantly throttles our bandwidth. Verizon even lets India control all their copper lines. Can’t wait to have another source for our home internet service. Off to call India again for static on line and speeds less than 0.8.

Something I’ve noticed. The app is great and very helpful but there’s a issue that’s bugged me for a while. I’ve noticed that certain servers that don’t fully utilize your actual download and upload speed. For example the server in buffalo ny, no matter your internet plan it won’t go higher than 60-70mbps. But on other servers they will. Idk if it’s just certain servers that don’t allow high speed testing but maybe you guys should look into it. 10/10 app. Have been using it for years 👍🏼

Excellent App and Developer!. This is the best speed test application I have found. The map is much better than other applications’ maps. The developer responded to me regarding family purchase sharing and resolved the issue within a few hours! I’ll continue to use apps from this developer in the future.

The best.. Quick, easy, and accurate, SpeedSmart definitely has the fastest start time of any WiFi or LTE speed test and is just as accurate as the other big players like Speedtest by Ookla, Speedcheck, etc. Definitely recommend this for if you need to test your internet fast and on-the-go and still want to get accurate results.

Score band operations .. The program is very slow when you want to view your speed. I gave it a 2 stars because of that reason. I use internet and DSL Roku services all the time mostly - 2.4 band ,and to wait for this program to run and connect is too long . By then my network is up and running no test needed. Maybe, as more devices move to 5.0 band the 2.4 should be free up for people with older devices and cellphones. This program is a good peeping on speeds .

Best speed tester with more tools. This is the best app for checking internet speed it’s fast and easy to use more features than all the rest I wish I could rate this app with 10 stars to the developer excellent keep up the good job plus this app is the most useful tool to have I think once more people install this app they say wish I had this app a long time ago!

Reliable and Consistent - Highly Recommend. Been using SpeedSmart for a couple of years and continues to be my primary app when I want to gauge WiFi functionality. SpeedSmart is my primary tool when working through issues with my ISP or WiFi router vendor support. The app launches very quickly and I can immediately determine if my WiFi is connecting to the internet before I even run the utility. The interface makes it easy to see status as it runs and presents real-time findings. Result history can be retained with the ability to add a note for each test. This is especially useful to me as I measure WiFi speed at various points in the house to determine slow spots. SpeedSmart is the best free WiFi year app out there. So much so that I had no issue at all paying for ad-free.

Love the app but it’s not working right now!. I’ve been using this app for awhile. Usually works flawlessly but this week it’s started to not work on my iPhone X. The ping goes into the 800 ms range and then just stops before it would normally switch to measuring the download speed. I use another app just like it that is working fine. Looking forward to a fix :) Thanks!

Adds are killing this app. I have been using this app for years and they used to be a 5 star app. Now that they have gone to this heavy advertising model it has become a useless tool. I was just looked out of the app when a add just turned into a white screen with no options to get out. I don’t have time to deal with this when troubleshooting a network issue. I will be looking at other options today and probably remove this app.

Reliable, accurate, great app. I've used SS for 5 years, and still have the full test history. It seems reliable, and produces realistic results. The interface is clear and uncluttered; easy to use. I run it once a month, just to keep tabs on my service. It's been 7 years now, and never a hiccup from SpeedSmart.

Download Speeds Accurate but not upload. I have another program called speed test which I measure this against. Both programs almost have the exact same numbers for download speed, but my current plan for my Internet provider limits my upload speed to one meg. Speed test consistently measures my upload speed at one meg, but this one has it in the 6-8 Mbps range. I think somehow it starts off with massively inflated numbers like 40 to 50 megs a second and then works its way down but the test ends before It can get an accurate reflection of the speed. Maybe if the test ran for 15 more seconds or something like that you could get an accurate number I bet. I do not have a vested interest in either program, just saying what the numbers are compared to what my internet provider says they should be. Others features are nice though.

All the time. I use this app very often. It confirms when our service is down. Our Router looks ok, but things slow or stop. I check and sure enough service is gone. We can switch over to cell and keep going until they fix the issue. It’s a very common thing around here.

Great app. I have used this app for over five years. I have four children close to or over forty. When I go to their homes and find my iPad is slow I use SpeedSmart to check their WiFi speed. My daughter in Derwood has supposedly the fastest speed in he area from Verizon. LOL - IT IS HALF MY SPEED IN GERMANTOWN USING COMCAST. she doesn’t listen!

GREAT APP, 5 STARS ALL THE WAY,, I am going to purchase yearly plan. 5 stars all the way. Works great. I have AT&T which is the lamest company in the world. I’m about to Purchase the app. My speed averages around 11 download & 15 for uploads. I live in a rural area in Georgia. AT&T ran fiber optic down our road few years ago but say that they can’t service anyone in our area at this time. Makes no sense to have that running right past my house & not have access. 😑 I am stuck with AT&T cause they r the only show in town at the moment. I highly recommend everyone to stay away from those idiots. Any call to customer service will last 2 hours or longer while they jack u around.

Best Speed Test Service. Most accurate, stable, and reliable internet down/upload speed test app I have used yet and it hasn't failed me for over a year of use. Continues to get better. Not sure how to use the map properly yet but the map and the calculator are excellent additions to a simple to use speed tester.

Great app and very simple to use. This app is great for determining whether there is a problem with my internet connection, or just my device. The history is a good feature too for a general record of performance over time, and comparison to other servers. I would recommend this to anyone.

Great Internet Speed Test. After the last VPN i used decide that if I wanted to continue to use the app i must let them track me across all apps. I looked and tried a few different speed test apps. I’ve been using SpeedSmart for about a year now and it works great, does not track me across other apps, has one very small ad when I do a test. Look no further if you're looking for a great internet speed test for you iOS devices.

Great firewall, blocks almost everything you can think of in one app. I downloaded this app and didn’t realize how much I needed it and how much faster my web browsing was from all the connections from ads that would have loaded and tried to track my activity. Makes a huge difference. This is one of my favorite apps

I don’t write reviews but. I rarely take the time to write reviews. There are plenty of other people who like to do this. This is my third app testing internet speed. I am not that concerned if I am getting 118 or 78 but it helps me to know when things are running slow that I have lost connection by the app not finding a server or if it’s my equipment at home. It easy to use and informative.

Needs improvement. The app does auto speed test however you have to pay $10 to use the feature. The pricing to use the feature is concerning being as though the feature doesn’t work in the background. If you enable auto speed test and then switch to another app the test stops immediately. Please fix this so that the feature can be used in the background especially since it’s a paid feature.

Quick, easy, no payment required. I was beginning to stress over having to have a subscription fee over using a wifi tester, but this app came in as a god send, letting me quickly test my speed while communicating with the provider and not having to spend a time.

Does not work, recent update broke it. Have use this app for years and it’s been great and simple. Updated it recently, which I really knew I shouldn’t have because if somethings broke don’t fix it I usually don’t update things because they just break things and don’t have my job side. Regardless I did and now it doesn’t work anymore. Tried deleting the app and reinstalling it same thing. It just doesn’t record the speeds, it records a ping and then it does nothing

Great support. I had a question about the server distances displayed in the server list not matching what I knew to be correct. I contacted developer via the support link in the app and he replied back in less than one minute..as it turned out the problem was on my end and setting on my phone but nonetheless great response by the developer. I did purchase the app and it is a really well thought out and useful tool.

Awesome App. First, I have never written a review on an app or even thought an app deserved a review. However, I have literally relied on this app for years to diagnose connectivity issues early on, and I have tried a few others along the way. With the latest face lift I will say that the app looks better than it ever has. But more importantly, it just does what it says it does. Simply test your connection speed, whether 3g, 4g, now 5g, and as always WiFi. Open the app and test speed. Look back at all previous speed tests you’ve taken. You can also export your test history if needed. Because this app is so perfect, after 4 years using it, I very recently upgraded to the advertisement free version to show my support. Great app. Transparent and honest app makers. And an actual ad free, ad free version available on all my iOS devices. Just wish I could extend the ad free version across all my other devices as well somehow. Other than that, thanks guys for an amazing app. I will continue to use your service as long as it is available to me. Highly recommend this app to anyone in the market for a simple speed test app. Download it ASAP!

Fast. I was using speed test by Ookla and my numbers were coming in really low so low I had to call my provider I downloaded this app and the numbers that my provider said that I was getting from their end was what I was getting with this app which tells me this app is a lot more accurate very satisfied with this app this is the app to use if you want to be on point !

Awesome Tool. Living in a rural community in Montana, we have no fiber optics capabilities. Our link to the outside world through the web is done primarily by landlines dedicated originally for telephones. Also, there is only one ISP provider here; proprietary. While it’s much cheaper than a satellite service, it’s also extremely slow. Following a recent outage, my smart tv was all but incapacitated after the internet was restored. My son advised me to establish a personal hotspot. Ha also told me to download the the “SpeedSmart” app and check the speed of Verizon’s LTE versus that of our wi-fi. SpeedSmart showed very little difference in the two “snail-speed” options. Looks like I’m plunging into the expensive world of Satellite internet. What have I got to loose-except money. Thanks SpeedSmart! It’s awesome to check my own speeds instead of wading through countless menu options trying to speak with an actual human being who works for our ISP provider! I’d strongly recommend this app. I plan to use it frequently to checkup on whatever ISP provider we settle with.

Records for WiFi not personal hotspot. It’s able to show you the speed of a mobile hotspot but it doesn’t record it in the history if it’s your own hotspot. This makes it challenging if you’re wanting to check the latency of different locations if you are doing live shows on the road. I was able to connect to someone else’s hotspot and run a speed test, and it recorded it in the history, but, when I tried to use my own personal hotspot off of my iPhone, it does not record the history. Other than that, this is probably the best speed test app, offers and most useful information. I just wish that he would record my personal hotspot information with in the app.

Great App!!. I'm only a home owner but I live in the country and use it daily to test the tower speed that I'm connected too. I've been able to make my little ISP aware of interruptions and slower than usual speeds that they aren't able to detect. It's simple to use and is very consistent. Thanks for creating it 👍🏻

This was what made me realize I was being screwed. Speedtest — all for the low low cost of nothing, is the reason I could say for certain, while being armed with objective and reliable data, that my ISP, Centurylink in the Phoenix, Arizona market specifically, is so woefully underperforming on “high speed” for their overcharged customers that it should be criminal. For all I know if enough people raised hell about their service, it might come to light that what they’re doing is criminal. I’m in a very unfortunate market of AZ east of Phoenix where cable modem service is NOT available for some confounding, maddening reason. But for 6 months plus now I’ve been testing my ISP’s performance and they’re going to hear from me at least. I’ve literally been at an average download speed of less than 6-7 mbps, with uploads in the 2’s at best! That’s RIDICULOUS! Nobody in the country is suffering these speeds unless they’re still somehow on dialup. This must get fixed ASAP! Thanks Speedtest!

Decreased speeds compared to 2 other apps. This has been our “go to” SpeedTest app, but when we noticed significantly lower readings, over the past couple of days, we downloaded 2 more apps to compare speeds. Both of those apps had speeds 4-7 times higher than this app, making it more challenging to determine which app is the most accurate.

Very Goog App!. In past I had used different speed test. When I find this SpeedSmart app, and try it for the first time. It worked wonderfully so far and gave me the correct speed reading every time. I enjoyed of using it. Reliable, Easy to use. High Recommend to other ! Thanks!

The most Accurate speed test App. SpeedSmart is a far more accurate app as compared to other Speedtest app’s. In the recent months I’ve seen Speedtest by Okla gives inaccurate results. I happened to try SpeedSmart and found that it shows the correct result and I’ve verified this multiple times. Great App with a straight forward and simple design. Highly recommended over the others!

Fast, reliable service. I don’t know a great deal about technology, but I can understand figures/ results, and this app clearly displays how my Internet is performing. The history tab is also great for highlighting speed over time (and for showing the provider!)

Speed test evaluation. Speed test does a more than respectable job in testing internet speeds on your devices. Was a little apprehensive at first being same company that provides internet service for my home is the same company who is responsible for speed test site. All that said the efficiency of speed test is as good or better than other services I have tried. Would definitely recommend them for your testing speeds, download and upload.

Love the share and export. I’ve been using this app to document my bandwidth issues with Sprint. For over 4 months they say they will “fix” the service issues I’ve been having. But no improvement so far. I exported the testing log I’ve been keeping for the last couple of months and printed the results and hand delivered to Sprint showing the unacceptable bandwidth. The info in the report including GPS coordinates removes any subjectivity on their part. Great App! Great tool!

I can dig it. The spectrum techs told me to use this application to check my speed on my wifi. It works perfectly and is an excellent tool when you use other wifi to see if you will be haunted by spinning wheel of death or not. Thank you

My internet tmobile. My connection in my room the smart tv samsung curve 50 inch so with my 2 iphone twelve pro max are both performing well even with the internet speed of my internet goes to less than 10mbps download but however to my two house mate there complain that most of the time its loading when using tgere loptap & calling by messenger so with my tv in the living room wd roku sometimes loading this did not happened when i wad using rcn, when i went back to tmobile office at there satilite office in queens mall the representative told me to hang on for a while cause the unit is still in the proccees of familiarization & learning of my location and so far its doing what it supposed to fo getting stronger by the day & thank you tmobile😀😀😀

Stuck on gambling ads??. App does what it claims then opens a gambling ad that I can’t close?? Disappointing and annoying. Ads are fair enough, but if I can’t close them & use the app, why should I bother??

Upload infinity???. I’m quite sure that my upload is not infinite speed! Especially when Speed-test rates it much lower! In fact theirs seems to be much closer to correct speeds, both upload and download. I’m wondering if there is not some collusion with telco providers???🤔

Good but........ I find that when it comes to the speed test side of things it is excellent but the in built calculator is buggy so when you go it change the variables e.g. Speed or download size it most of the time will not work

Very handy little app. It’s so much easier to test connections with my phone than a laptop or desktop. My only issue is that I have to keep scrolling down to the bottom every time for my local server. Other than that, does what it should.

Great to compare with local averages. Not sure of accuracy? I have found that various speed test apps give quite different results. What is 'right'? Nonetheless it's been useful to compare 4g with wifi - so far with iinet to my phone...4g is about 8x faster than their wifi supply to my house. It's been great also to compare to local and national averages. Seems our iinet service is pretty rubbish. Now I just need to get them to believe it.

The best and most accurate speed test APP.. This is so far the most accurate speed test APP. Forget about the speed test websites from your ISP. They always show a fast speed when my actual speed is super low. But every time when I use this APP, it reflects the true speed. It shows my speed is slow when I can’t even watch videos (always shows loading). It shows that the speed picks up when the video plays smoothly. However, if I turn to any speed test websites of any ISP, they always show a fast speed when in fact I can’t even watch online videos. This APP deserves the best score.

5 Stars. Would be lost without it, especially since a Apple update had bugs in it that killed my download speed over WiFi until they put out another update to fix it. GRH

Good benchmark tester. There are lots of benchmark testers. If you have high internet speeds lots of benchmark testers fail because they cannot keep up. Their servers are too slow. You are testing their servers not your bandwidth. So this test works at least up to 100 mb/s. So up to at least that speed you can trust their results.

Latest update. Latency data has been hidden or is it renamed. What is Ping? Does this reflect the same info as Latency?

Very happy. Easy to use and no pop ups. It’s all I use to check my I pad internet speed.

Amazing app speeds are accurate and generally the same as a website my isp got me to use but much more convenient then my home computer. 💟Would be amazing if you could include a note for each test to add which room ur testing ur router or have different coloured icons to show peak off-peak times. Does exactly what it says it does 🇦🇺📶📊 Works very well in Australia. Excellent app for checking and monitoring mobile network speeds and also great for comparing to wired network speeds. Excellent App. Love the pin feature on the map. Gives an indication of what other ISPs are or are not providing. The ability to email the test history is great for keeping records when performance is poor.

Highly valuable - add to your toolkit. Excellent app and i recommend... as an IT Professional i am always looking and testing apps and utilities and this is one app all users show have. Only comment i would make is that it would be nice to have is to have a local server in Perth, Western Australia.

Stopped working. Used to work really well. Just migrated to the NBN. Hasn’t worked since.

Ross. I am writing this as I saw a few negative comments about it not working in Australia. It works fine for me in Sydney now and has done for 6 months. I don't know if the speed is 100% accurate but it certainly appears ok for home purposes. I just got cable and it tests 6 times quicker than ADSL2+ which is what was expected.

Speed App. This is a great app. It has helped me to prove my speed is below what I was paying for and my provider has improved my service. Without this app I would not have been able to get a better speed result which was almost double my previous speed.

Slow Internet. Horrible over priced service

Terrific App. Love what SpeedSmart does. Simple, easy to understand and just works every time. Would appreciate if a location could be added to each saved result, either automatic, or manual insert by user. Useful to know which tests were at home or work, when comparing changes over time.

Servers. It doesn’t have a server for Perth, Western Australia closest is Adelaide this isn’t a exact reading

Great App!. Easy to use, accurate and reliable.

Speed Improvement. We moved house to the country area basically out of the City Kingdom of WiFi. I was not too happy with the speed of data, I talked to a friend and he recommended this program and within a few hours, I was all set up correctly to optimise the system I had installed with the Mac products. I without reservation recommend this product.

Great app. SpeedSmart is simple to use, gives easy to interpret results and best of all, it keeps a running record of previous tests.

Stop working. Worked well for years. Now only give ping results. Seems to be a problem with the Sydney server. Melbourne works well but no advice about why. Working again, still without notice but back to usual useful function. Rating corrected back to 5

Wiggle. It is very good stuff but it’s only for cool doods

Great NBN check. Have been using this app for a year now, since I started NBN. It works very well and I use it regularly to check my troublesome wireless access points. These keep dropping in and out - my main modem is consistent so no NBN problems. Will continue to use as an accurate measurement of speed on my network. I use it on PC, laptop, iPhone and iPad - works well on all devices.

This is a well done app, better than others. I was looking for an alternative network testing app besides Ookla Speedtest, and well this app does not disappoint. It can provide so much information about the connection it's speed and your ISP service.

Great app. Great app and very handy for checking claimed speed on your NBN package

The only app you’ll ever need!. I’ve used a few different apps but none compare to this! I use it regularly to monitor and test the speeds of my NBN connection and to log all of my results to take to my ISP to prove that their connection speeds can be garbage in my area, I’ve since one a few battles with then and have been able to receive a constant speed.

SpeedSmart. Fantastic app. I validated it against SpeedTest and came up accurate for three different NBN providers and locations

VPN caused connectivity issues. Uninstalled app.. I would rate this app no stars if i could. Installed this app on my iPhone 10 and it created nothing but problems. It took two trips to the apple store to talk with them because Siri wasnt working and gave me a connection error. It was a night mare as i couldn't use Siri to operate my smart home because the VPN was interfering for some reason with my network connectivity. As soon as I realised it may be the VPN and uninstalled the app everything went back to working the way it should. It was my second trip to Apple where the associate told me that sometimes VPN can create issues but after resetting it it worked for a bit but soon went back to the same problem. I will try another speed testing app now.

decent. it’s better than most of the comparable apps. It gives you the basics that all the others do with less ads. Id like it if they gave you info on what channel your router is on and who’s all sharing bandwidth on the same channels in the area

Incorrect values. The download speed measurement is wrong. It's reporting twice what I actually have. I only have a 10Mb connection but it's reporting a download speed of 20Mbps.

The best Speedtest app.. I have several others, but they’re not nearly as good. SpeedSmart needs to rest between retests though.

It works. Ya it’s quite accurate. When my internet is slow I just constantly test my internet to see if my ping goes down and when it’s lowered my internet gets faster so I believe it’s accuracy.

Works great. I just read a review with a complaint about not enough servers in Canada to accurately test speed. I’ve had no issues at all. Regardless of the server location my tests have been consistent with others including my ISP claims for service. I mostly test mine to determine the effect of using a VPN for online banking and minor buisness transactions. Again the variance indicated by the VPN provider has been accurate with what the speed test has been showing. I doubt many people need more accurate test results from what is provided here.

Doesn’t work. Consistently shows upload speeds at 5-10 Mbps when In reality I only get 2 - and when comparing with reputable speed tests - they reflect 2.... as they should - stick with Ookla

What we call an app to test another app In a way. Why does it feel like this is supposed to be a game like a game to play

Used 1 GB of data.. This is a great app if you are on an unlimited data plan. If you are not it is terrible. On 3 LTE speed tests, it burnt 1 GB of data in about a minute.

Crashes. The “improved” version does not complete a cycle test. It crashes repeatedly.

A typical American app. When it provides you with a server with which to fast your speed, it is a place in the US. You can select your server from a list of servers, but there are only 3 Canadian servers and they are all in Eastern Canada. There are better testers available.

Speed tester. The modem is rated at 150 Mbps download and 15 Mbps upload. But at test it is less than 50 Mbps/10 Mbps. I don’t understand that as to why?

Inaccurate !. I use this app a lot. The interface is great. Since last update, Speedtest is inaccurate on iPad 4 (iOS 10.3.3) , 20 Mbps below Ookla's results (which give me my provider advertised speed). Something is wrong with connection to test servers, I'm pretty sure.

Absolute Minimum Offered, Even With “Pro” Purchase. What is there to be said? There are very few options to modulate tests. There are a moderate number of locations about the world to choose from, but nothing to especially boast about. I regret paying for the “Pro” version. I hoped it would allow me to set more variables and get more detailed information. It didn’t. I’ll keep it and use it regularly, but it won’t be the only test I rely on to gauge my ISP’s performance in conjunction with my devices.

Unable to save server choice. The app is adequate, but would be better if you could save your server choice instead of scrolling through numerous servers to find the one you had chosen before.

Test result is not quite accurate for certain location.. Anaheim, CA bandwidth speed test result shows somewhere around 16Mbps down and 15Mbps up. San Diego is closer (-85 Miles) to this location. Switching to LA, which is further away (-100 Miles), the bandwidth test results show 350+ Mbps down and 350+ Mbps up. This second data point (LA) is consistent to two other iOS apps that was used for comparison... for an older iPhone+GB internet service.

Not too Shabby..... Other than the other major competitor in the speed check bizz, which I have that app as well... it’s hard to compare bc both have their awesome qualities...but over all...love the darn near precise accuracy.

Reliability. The families that I have in my circle, all with different internet servers, as long as I have their password, it is capable of checking the speeds. They always appreciate the feedback, letting them know their internet is functioning properly.

No fluff. This app is awesome it just works, has no pop up ads, and the UI is so easy to use. I would recommend everyone download this if you are looking for a network speed test tool.

Fast. It was time for a change. My old app changed the rules to provide a “better experience “. Turns out it was better for them not so much for me.

Extremely Handy. This app is extremely handy to check our speed from AT&T as we are on their old rural lines and speeds are inconsistent. Once they downgraded our plan speed and we didn’t know about it for weeks until I checked with Speed Smart.

Something broke. This was my go to speed test app for years. Even though I have several I always used this one as my primary tester. I travel often for work so I enjoy knowing speeds at different locations Unfortunately, the latest update broke the app. I can get the ping usually but it never begins the speed measurement. I will also get not connected to the internet messages too. This is strange as the ads always work. Please fix and I’ll change review.

Tech’s View. I am a broadband field tech, this and ————-.net are the only 2 speed tests I trust, and I use them everyday, multiple times a day in conjunction with each other.

The Gold Standard. To me this is the gold standard of internet speed testing apps. Very accurate and unique the way they do their testing. I've used others but like this one the best - I use it on my iPhones and on my iPads. Thank you for making such a great app!!!

Works. Works pretty good for something that’s free and they want to take your money there’s always some in app purchase but this is a pretty good free feature it works and there’s no limits so A+ to you I’ll give you 10 stars if I could

Very good and easy to use but there’s a problem. Always shows realistic download speeds but the upload speed is obviously not right. Upload speeds of 541.0 Mbps aren’t anywhere near correct. iPhone 6S, Charter Cable.

Good app. Nice to have an independent speed app. Remember, your wireless speed is not near (usually about half) your hard wired speed. My laptop download is 600+ on my laptop with a LAN cable, but with 4 iPhones and 5 TVs streaming wirelessly, that knocks my wireless speed down to ~300 down 35 up with Spectrum Business.

Why so many updates claiming bug fixes?. This is not a very complex app. But yet there are so many frequent updates saying fixing bugs. Guys, are you sure? I think there is something else going on, maybe they are adding ads or adding features asking for reviews. What are all these bugs - this is a stable mature app that is quite simple? Can the developer please comment????? I will add stars once I have an idea what is going on.

A new feature to consider. When I am experiencing intermittent internet problems, it would be great to be able to specify a number of times to run SpeedSmart consecutively! Please consider adding this option!

Battery Hog! Background Activity!!. Use app for 5 minutes and just check battery and it’s been using “background activity” for over 2 hours!! Don’t know what it’s doing in background!! Have iPhone XS and have background refresh off in settings and still running. Found a few other apps doing this also. Have to close app out after using to stop background activity. Will see if another update addresses this, if not will delete.

Easy and Accurate Speedtest. Awesome, Easy to use and accurate WiFi or 4gresults. Clean and clear to understand what’s going on with a nice history and the ability to add notes to each result. A great speed test.

Keeping cable honest. I installed “SpeedSmart” to see my WIFI and broadband signal. It proved my cable company was not giving me a very good package, upon challenging the cable company I learned, for very little money, I could get 10 times the speed

Seems to work okay. My internet provider has an app that shows my speed much faster. I am assuming that this app is correct but because it seems more inline with the performance I am seeing on my devices.

Works Good!. Works Good! I saw my speed was W A Y low as I suspected and I contacted repair. ATT boosted my signal and will send me a ‘New generation’ modem to further enhance my Wi-Fi signal as well! If I had not had this APP, I would have no clue that I was paying for gold service and getting LEAD!

Unfortunately, your reviews are being erased. Putting another to the test here and checking back the next day. In most cases: gone. Reviews are being erased Willy-Nilly. Be aware. A waste of time writing them. Some reviews slip through.

Easy and it works. Seems to automatically know whether you are on WiFi or 4G or 5G. Only disappointment is 5G speeds even in the heart of a major city. Not all that much faster than 4G.

Nice and Simple. It is simple and works as it should. Small download size, minimal advertising unlike other speed test apps. I’ve only had it a day but I’ve tested it quite a few times on 3 different networks and seems to work great.

Doesn’t work.. On repeated attempts, I only got a Latency score, and the upload and download reported zero. (Other speed test apps are showing results, so my internet is not down.) I’m also curious, if this app may be a promotional tool for Spectrum because on the map that shows nearby speed results, the Spectrum pins all have high speeds - 71, 101, 67 etc. - whereas other internet providers all show much lower speeds. As a Spectrum customer myself, I have never had a speed above 40, even though I subscribe to the highest speed package.

Now Finds my Server update. Now it works fine. I finally found my server, after closing and reopening the app. Update First rating was *, with the following comment: I can not find a way to connect this to my server. It says “loading server” but does not.

Works great.. Latest update is great. I am very pleased with this app, a lot of my friends and I are using it, and works perfectly fine for us very accurate and easy to USE. Gives lots of good information and the new jitter test is perfect.

Good Speed Tester. When first used the read out is good but not doing another scan immediately after the first scan. Wait a few minutes before scanning again

I use it frequently. It's pretty good to see how accurate your phone speed is on a day to day basis. Sometimes my phone will test quicker on some days than others and I like to stay in the know. It has yet to fail me

Excellent app for testing speed. I downloaded this app a couple of days ago. I did so when the speed app I had stopped working after an update. I am happy I did because this app is working great. I am using the free version but wii be updating soon to the ad free version

Inconsistent functionality. While the app consistently tests WiFi networks, cellular data tests are inconsistent. The app freezes after testing the ping. Would be 5 stars if the app more constantly tested cellular data.

Not accurate. This service does not provide accurate results. It leads consumers to make decisions based on what they think their internet speed is, when in reality their servers are so bogged down that they can only show me 20mbps on my 700mbps connection. “Oh my cellular 5g and my home WiFi are the same speed! Thanks speed smart! Looks like I’ll cancel my home internet now and just use a hot spot” this service is not providing any value to those who use it.

This Is The One For Me!. After trying several Apple mobile device speed testers that were user-rated as ”Best”, easy to use, accurate, and provided a choice of test servers, I have determined that SpeedTest is today’s ”Best of the Best.” I recommend that you give it a try!

Good results. When I do have Internet, which sometimes work and sometimes doesn’t out here in the boonies, this app tells me how slow it really is!
