Used to be five stars. Have had this app for almost 2 years it used to go to set location without any problems now have to make five trips around the barn just to get info that used to just pop up not happy with what you did to it please put it back the way it was. Now really inconvenient !!!! If it hadn't cost money I would have dumped it by now!!!!!

very good but..... PLEASE put time in am, pm. That way we could look at a glance. That would make it near perfect for me.

OK, but needs work. The interface is nice, but the application is missing one huge thing: It needs an option to enter a zip code. Using major cities is useful for time-setting, but not for sunset/sunrise, as this differs from location to location. I suppose for iPhone users it might work OK, but for iPod Touch users this is not sufficient, as Wi-Fi network location is far less than accurate at any given time. The software tried to locate me and had the sun setting 2 hours later than it actually does. But the closest major city listed is Denver, CO, USA—600 miles away and far to the east, leaving sunset off by several minutes. Not good.

Simple for sunsets. Just needed something to give me accurate sunset times by region and this works great.

Very good but some problems. The ideal app would have 1) sunrise / sunset, 2) moon rise / moon set, 3) moon phase, 4) sun/moon compass, and 5) graphic world time of day (daylight / dark). This app has all except # 5. However, I just downloaded v 1.2 to an ipod touch with v3.0 software installed and the "new" moon phase graphic shown on the advertisement is not part of the software despite indicating it is present in S&M 1.2. Also, I agree, entering a zip code should be available for setting location. Otherwise a good value.

Definitely not great. Nice look but does not save lat. and long. info and I am at a location where autolocate is not available so I had to enter that data manually evertime I wanted to use it. Too much of a drag... I lost my $0.99.

not enough stars. this rev is exactly what I needed. This app has reached the top. There is no way to improve it from here. I photograph sunrise/sunsets, moonrise/moonsets and used to have to fake out the app by setting the ipod time and date to the time of the event I was interested in to get an actual compass direction for where on the horizon things are going to happen. Not anymore! You can set your location in maps to exactly where you are and with the new rev know exactly where on the horizon the rise/set.. is going to occur. If you are into photography this is EXACTLY what you need for this type of landscape photos. Fantastic job in providing this update. There aren't enough stars to actually rate it.. The only thing to improve on its usefulness to me is for apple to finally get a gps in the ipod touch so I can pinpoint my location exactly.. but that ball is in apples court! thanx for a great update.. hallmark

Great app, but a minor bug. A great little app that I use all the time. On my 3GS running the latest OS, there's an annoying little bug when the "autolocate on startup" option is on. It seems to find the right location, but it's always 3 hours off in the time zone. A work-around is to go to the map settings and click the "find where I am" button, then turn off the autolocate on startup option. But it would be nice to have this bug fixed.

Love it. It works. Simple.. Used it for many years. Definite winner. You can win bets around the solstices, because the times of sunrises and sunsets do some crazy things due to the earth's elliptical orbit.

Wanted to compare locations. I was looking for an app that would store more than one location. This app only stores one. Looking to compare sunrise/sunset locations side-by-side. Will say it has pretty pics and easy to use. Only one FL city listed, need more. Can only choose cities listed, cannot search specific cities. It would be more ideal if user could store more than one location and retrieve from "retrieved save."

Awesome. Exactly what I needed. I'm a photographer and do much of my work at night. Now no matter where i am I can know instantly what time to start and stop shooting, and how much light the moon is going to give me. Thanks fir such a useful app.

Excellent interface. Beautiful layout - very easy to read. Another comment here said you can't save manually entered locations but you can. You just need to turn off the auto-locate at startup. I like how the phases of the moon animate for different days. All of the iOS4 issues seem to be fixed! Nice addition of the animation of sun and moon position and elevation throughout the day.

Good but not great. I mostly want to know when it will get dark. It would be nice to add the civil twilight. Also the interface could look a little nicer. Replace the sunrise/set photos with icons. Add a nice background, get rid of the display boxes around the the times - they look like a place to input text.

Nice little program but could still use some help. I drive a lot right around sunrise and sunset. I like to do more of my driving while it's light so i use this app to try to optimize the daylight. It would be nice if there was AM and PM display options-- that would give it 4 stars from me. The ability to show the moon phases would give it another star from me.

Sun n Moon. Has all the info, but have to look it up each time by hand, when the city is not in the list. Why can't we save a list of perhaps 5-7 locations frequently used?Can only save last location inputted. A pain when planning a trip to photograph in western USA, as most areas are not listed, as there are no cities nearby. So one has to drag the pin from place to place, time and again, across multiple states, as there is no where we can save a list of areas, such as Jackson Wyo, Helendale Ca etc.

Awesome App!!. I wanted the app because I like to look at the moon with my telescope and always wondered when it rose. But I got more than I expected, it tells me where it rises and where it's at in the sky! I love this app! 5 Stars!!!

I like it. It doesn't just give you the times, but it also shows me my exact location, my time zone, and it can tell me the info i need for many many many years into the future. Love to see more updates (soon) : ) Especially the option to view a customizable calendar, with the availiablity to see the sunset and sunrise time for that day, or moon rise and moon set, ect, for however many days, months, or years the user wants to see without having to scroll through the dates and then check that info for them seperately.

Good app. Love the app, as I deer hunt and like to know sunrise and sunset. Would like to suggest adding feature for moon phase which would get 5 stars from me.

Sun and Moon. Excellent app. I love the moon especially full moons. I also have painted moonscapes with oil paints and this app. Let's me know exactly what time the moon rises or sets or for that matter where it is in the sky at any time of any day. I just use the map and drag the pin to my location to get sun and moon info. ~tc

Ok app. Always starts by trying to get location. If last location was map or city search, it should remember it. Also, better date handeling would be good. From the main sun screen you can only go up or down one day at a time. I know you can go into the date set mode, but that seems like a lot of extra clicks when a popup or swipe would do.

Sun n Moon. Both my son and I are into photography and since we got this app we have become sunset photo buffs. Knowing the exact time of the sunset makes it so easy. This summer we travelled from Oregon to the mid west where the sunsets were spectacular and right on time as shown in this app. Very cool that the program could use the built in GPS and auto correct for our new location. Anyone who loves to photograph the great outdoors will love this app.

Handy application. I down loaded this application mainly for the moon set times. It works great for this need. Would like to see a graphical representation of the moon phase on the same page as the moon rise and set times. Currently you need to go to a different area to get that information (in text form).

Sun N Moon. No longer works. I paid for the app and now with the new OS, none of the functions work. What a waste.

Doesn't work. Program crashes with every button tap. Useless.

Simple, easy, great!. I’ve been using this app for years and love it! It’s easy to use, and has a clear presentation of the basic information about the sun and moon. It’s always been my go to app to see when sunset and sunrise are going to happen … today, or any other day. Great app!

ItchyPelican Review. This App is good. It would be great if it had visual representations of the moon phase, rather than having to go to a separate page and read the name of the phase. Perhaps show phase on the face of sundial rather than a full moon all of the time?

Crashes with OS4 on iPod Touch (update). Worked fine until change to OS4; now it crashes with any button press. Looking forward to an update. Update: v1.7 no longer crashes, but location doesn't work right. Doesn't open saved location, and recalled location (Chicago) has wrong time zone (no DST).

handy for anyone outside, awesome for travelers!. Easy to use, does all the work for you. Calculates times by determining your current location, or select a city from the list. I travel all the time, and helps to know if I will be driving a rental car in the dark. Haven't found a good use for the moonrise/set feature yet.

It's ok.. I'm a truck driver who hauls oversize loads, where sunrise and sunset times are critical. An error can cost around $500. So far this app has done well as far as accuracy is concerned, but it would benefit from a better list of cities. I find myself hoping I have wifi so I don't have to set my position manually on the map. This app is trustworthy, but would benefit from additional development and patches.

Good but could use improvement. Any way to have app remember yr location? Especially when u enter a specific city. Annoying that it asks to fond yr location every time you open. Only useful if y're traveling a lot. Should have setting option for both. Also would be great to see a few different favorite cities by adding pages instead of having to constantly visit settings. Otherwise really useful. Love pics and graphics. Look forward to update.

Where are the moon phases?!. Disappointed. Despite claiming to show moon phases, it does not.

Could you add Compass view to Apple Watch?. Sun n Moon is a brilliant and concise App. If the iPhone Compass View with sun and moon elevation and azimuth data could be displayed on the Apple Watch then this useful App would be awesomely accessible and ascribable. ... StvMuz

Great easy to use app!!! I like the animation of the phases of the moon.. I like the easy to read numbers. Gives info about sun, moon, phase of moon and even has a compass. Don't need to be connected to calculate times or go to a different city or location. Like the phases of the moon and the addition of the slide to animate the position and elevation of the sun and moon throughout the day.

Moonlighter. Its good ...But, should offer moon phases for up coming dates.

Everything I Need. Sun n Moon gives me all the info I need. I like that it automatically finds my locatin and calculates rise and set times. Compass view is interesting to see the different positions and elevations of the sun and moon during the day.

Saved places don't really work. This app seems useful enough. But as a cinematographer or photographer it needs more than one saved location. Right now the software only remembers the last saved location. Very frustrating if you a planning a multicity shoot. I also would like to be able to save ranges of dates. Like that you could do the research and then save the sun positions for the day without having to put this information in every time.

Impressive functionality. Great interface. Uses GPS location! Like the Google Maps.. The application has a great interface - really big letters, and easy navigation. I like that it calculates the sunrise and sunset automatically based on my exact GPS coordinates. Or if I want to pick a different city or different date, I can do that too. Moon phases and sun and moon position slider on the compass are great new additions.

Good but.... Good but needs the ability to save and access multiple coordinates/locations rather than the most recently saved. A favs folder maybe.

Sun n Moon. In addition to "Help" there are four "views" i.e. Sun, Moon, Compass and Settings. Whenever I open this application, I can only see the Sun view and Help. Tapping any of the other views quit the program, making it totally useless. I think I should get a refund, because purchasing this app seems to be a total waste of time and money. CSK

First every day. This is the first application I look at each day. It's great to track the change in the interval between sunrise and sunset, especially as we move towards spring.
