Thief app trying to bill me twice for the same app. This is a bunch of B.S. This app is trying to bill me twice for the upgrade to the full app. Already paid once then it reverted back to the free version. Now it is asking me to pay again to upgrade.

Great way to build your vocabulary!. This app gives you the tools to quickly build your vocabulary with the most useful words. It provides not only the words but several sentences recorded by a native speaker to hear how the word sounds and is used in practice. I'm only on level 2 but looking forward to learning all the words provided.

It will ask you for $10 for the bulk of the material.. I didn’t read the reviews very far, and a few explained that what you get for free isn’t worth the download. YouTube is actually more useful for beginners. After spending the $10, it is useful for learning new vocabulary in one’s down time. The sentence examples they give with many of the words are helpful. The flash cards are all reading Thai, so I think this is pretty good for a “high beginner” or lower intermediate level person. Kind of a gimmick as a free version. Not a lot of better apps out there yet.

Great application!!. It is refreshing to hear a human voice instead of a computer generated translation. These courses take the time to sound out the tones which makes learning easier. Highly recommend!

Junk. There no vocabulary as mention on the app name. Free version is mean less , waste my Internet data connection time!

Fun and Easy w/Audible. This app is Contagious & Simple!

Confusing interface. The interface is difficult to use and there's a huge sales pitch to buy their crap.

Female Voice Only. This app is great if you are a female learning Thai. Men and women use different words to say the same phrase. I was testing out what I learned with a Thai friend who kept laughing at me. I didn’t understand until she told me the problem.

Excellent Daily Word. Receiving daily Thai words/expression is a great way to take in Thai learning I look to getting my new words at midnight every night

Terrible. This app is terrible. There is no audio.. Don't pay for the upgrade it does not have audio either

Word power LT. This would be a wonderful app and worth the $9.99 if only the sound worked. Unfortunately the sound does not work.

No spoken words. The most recent update disabled the spoken words which essentially makes this app useless. I have reported this bug and hope they get it fixed ASAP.

Not worth the time. Don't bother to spend the time to download, you get a couple of words on some subjects that are helpful, however app is aiming you to upgrade for almost 10 USD.

Love Listening!. I have only used this app about 2 weeks now but think it's great so far. I like the listening part very much and believe it really helps. Being able to record with the playback option is also very helpful.

Total crap. Zero worth. The free app is supposed to entice you to spend ten bucks for the full version. I'll save my money.

Best Thai learning app ever.. Very organized app with almost no ads interference. Might upgrade to the advanced once I m done with this one.

Great all around app. I was looking for something to prepare me for my trip to Thailand and this app was exactly what I was looking for

Get it. I have all the Thai language apps, and after the Talking Thai dictionary (best dictionary ever), this is the best one out there. The language is formal, and I'm not sure yet if they explain to new Thai learners about male/female language differences in the sentences (ka for girls, krap for boys), but since it seems to all be in female language, and I'm a female, it doesn't matter to me. If you're concerned about this, because you're a man, just don't say "Dichan," say "Chan" or the more common "Pom" and don't use ka at the end of sentences, use krap. That's it. It has fantastic vocabulary, and tons of it, as well as properly constructed sentences to practice the vocabulary with. It's easy to use and has the option to mark words to practice separately. Try it out for free, then two minutes later, buy it like I did.

Decent Thai love the 1/2 speed feature. Very decent learning app

This should be free.. The full version is decent, though it needs some fine-tuning. But to sell a one-word version for $0.99 without knocking a dollar off of the linked premium version feels a bit shady. Just my opinion. Make the light one free and update the bugs in the full version, and I'd probably rate five stars.

Great app. What a great app. I live in Bangkok now and this app helps so much.

It's okay. Needs more work. After learning some "basic expressions", in Thailand I was told that nobody ever uses good morning, afternoon etc, they just say hello. Why are those expressions even in the program? Plus numbers are in alphabetical order, so you start learning with an eight, not 1. Which is ridiculous.

Great what to start learning Thai. I have tried many apps in my endeavour to learn to speak Thai and this is the only one that has helped. Very easy to use, lots of learning to be had and the flashcards turn the whole thing into a game to enjoy.

OK but could be much better. Although this has excellent spoken, written and visual aids, the Word Power app misses out only deserves 3 stars because it doesn't have the automatic advance feature that the other Thai Language APP does. Without this feature means you have to physically and manually touch the screen for each word; as opposed to having it progress automatically so it plays continuously in the background. As everyone knows, language acquisition is done by repetition - so I'm surprised that the designers have not included this essential feature.

Enjoying this app. Word of the day very useful. Thai speaker could be better if slower - we're just learning :)

Mr. This is a great learning tool, great interface, A complete immersion, visual, phonetic, interactive word sounding via microphone recording etc... Sophisticated, practical, contemporary Offline use Great, worth the money without a doubt. The free version is however a scant sample only, making it difficult to fully assess it's features. I was using another app that suddenly turned pro and was asking for a similar amount to unlock all features, the format they used was somewhat different and could be used in the field as a way to communicate. Looking for a similar app I came across Free Word Power, which seems to be more orientated toward providing a step by step learning tool rather than a collection of words and sentences. I did like the idea of a quick collection of words and sentences if the price was right. For the money I opted to get a great learning tool as well. Because off the meagre free sample given by Word Power, I had to take a virtual leap of faith to purchase it. I am pretty much delighted and give this app top rating, five stars. Thank you for the developers, great work but Watch out for the typos ;-)

GREAT APP. Was absolutely loving this app. But now it won't load at all, I get a blank screen then my iPad reverts back to main menu. Frustrating. I WANT IT BACK!!!! Any ideas?

Great learning tool. Great app! Voice recorder is excellent. Word pictures and sample sentences build on one another to develop a strong vocab and grammar base. Only suggestion is to have the flashcards be audible not just dependent on being able to read the language. I'd like my course score to reflect if I can hear and understand rather then read and understand.

Confused. This app has great potential and I would give 4 stars, but I am frustrated by the lack of sync between the iPhone and iPad versions which seem to be at variance with each other... I like the daily word or phrase update on the lite version, wish that this was more fully realized in the paid version. Maybe it is? My iPhone 4 seems confused between the two versions. If you sort that out then 4 stars

Word of the Day. I love the concept of word of the day but lots of the words it teaches are either very similar to English words or are words that would offend Thai people if you used them. The data banks of themed words are also good for basic conversation, but not advanced enough for my personal needs.

Good. I combined it with a few other apps and got a fairly good understanding of Thai. I stopped using the others, but still look forward to the new word every day. Nice, I am able to add to my previous comment. I recently went from a 16GB iPad to a 32GB iPad in the transition lost my "words of the day" which had accumulated over over five months. That part of the app had become one of my favorite features, as it uses the words in a variety of sentences.
