Simply the best Remote Desktop. This is the best remote desktop in the app store, the latest version fixed the connect issue I have by using TLS 1.0. I hate using Microsoft RDP, it is difficult to select and move around the screen, it is great that other company could build a better product than the ones that build the original software, I have used this software for years on my ipad and my iphone and never have security issues on the server like others write on the reviews, it is safe to use this software. Because I like very much this app I have buy the paid version.

It works!. Just as long as you realize you have to be on the SAME network as your PC, this app does exactly what it says it does! You CANNOT be 500 miles from home and expect to connect to your PC unless you have a public IP address for it (why would you???!?). If your office has Wi-Fi and you can connect to it with your iPhone, then you could access your office computer and check to see if an email has arrived while you're in a meeting.

Great app to start scanning my computer (but that's about it). I like this app because it allows me to start a computer scan when I'm away from the computer. Also, people complain that they cannot use the Ctrl+Alt+Del to access the Task Manager; there is a workaround by going to the Windows Security icon in the start menu. What I don't like is how there is no click&hold, no click-hold-drag capabilities at all, and apparently it is not in the full version either. I reduce the screen size to save on memory, but then I need to drag windows around to see my stuff. I also cannot use the top-left corner menu either to move windows, because Windows will not cooperate in that accord. I'd safely say that if all you're going to do is just click about, then this app works.

Life Saver. this app saved my life. one time in my history class, I forgot a project at home before I went to school. to save myself, I used this program with vista and emailed the file to myself and was then able to access the file on my phone and get it at school. other than that, it's way better than windows mobile, and it runs quickly and easily. one drawback, I can't seem to be able to right click but typing is fine.

 Works! . I was able to connect to my 64 bit Windows 7 computer in under 5 minutes. Also, if you want to be able to connect over a 3G network you need to log into your router and set up forwarding to your computer for port 3389. Once that is done you use the app to connect to your router's external IP address and port 3389. That will allow you to connect to your computer. More detailed instructions (with pictures for those who do not want to read ) are available on the developers site.

Work Great I Love it Now I have my computer in the Palm of my hands. This is great you get full access to your computer. You surf the web everything its like I have my compute at my finger tips (literally). This will be useful once I go back to college best it the best app ever. I just hope people figure out how to use it before they bash it with negative comments it's only took me a few google searchs and I was set up in no time. Great App my favorite thus far!

Works Well on Win 7 (64). It does work well but not without some research on your part. For Windows machines that support Remote Desktop, you must turn on this feature or you will never be able to connect. As with most Windows computers, this process is not intuitive. I had to Google the info by searching for "turn on Windows Remote Desktop." There are instructions (HELP) available on the RDP website but these do not go far enough for a novice to be able to make sense of them. Those icons you see in the screenshots evoke the keyboard, bring up a menu that includes disconnect and center/resize the guest screen on the iPad. A double tap on this icon will lock the screen in place so that you can use a slider bar without sliding the entire screen. It is very exciting to see your remote computer completely accessible on your iPad. A fantastic value for the price.

works great, its just lite.. doesn't have all the features some of the paid apps have but very good none the less. Please don't listen to the people giving this app a 1 star review because it doesn't work with XP Home or Vista Basic. These OS's don't support remote desktop, its not the apps fault. Before you use any rdp app you should learn how to use RDP and have it setup and working correctly from PC to PC, then get this app.

Better than iTapRDP and Desktop Connect. It is definitely a better application than Desktop Connect, which is too slow for typing while connected via Desktop, and iTapRDP which does not work with physical keyboard. I've not been able to define a custom resolution in portrait mode. If I could do that I'll uninstall the two other (paid) applications that I've already purchased. This one is fast and works reliably.

Not exactly fair to compare a FREE app to one that costs $12. Ok folks, what part of free don't you get. The darn thing is FREE. Sure there is another competitive product available, and I happen to own it. But guess what not only is it not free but they don't even offer a free "light" version. At least the people at MochaSoft offer a limited feature version of their product so you can get an idea of what the full paid version is like. I purchased WinAdmin when it was the only RDP client available, and guess what it isn't perfect either (shocker). Don't forget that the cost of WinAdmin is DOUBLE that of the full MochaSoft RDP client.

Surprisingly Works as Advertised - Check website for instructions. Works! I tested this by opening folders, browsing the web, even using the instant messenger on my notebook, viewing movies, etc. Of course there is lag and the resolution isn't exactly as clear as the desktop which is expected due to the intensive task of what this app is trying to get a phone to do. After logging back onto my computer I did notice that my folder icon looked different and a few other minor things. and btw, READ! the requirements are LISTED. For XP-Pro only!

This thing actually use your Wi-Fi and a hackers behind it. Believe me, I almost gave my Wi-Fi password to a hackeriiii

No scroll in lite version. I wanted to email a picture to a friend but I forgot it was on my computer. In 2 minutes flat I was able to remotely connect to my home computer and send the email to my phone. I couldn't be more impressed with it's stability and ease of use. This app is fantastic. I don't understand how someone could vote < 3. I give it 4 because no scrolling really detracts from it's possibilities. But then again this is the free version!

Great!. I've got this on my iPhone 4 with latest OS from Verizon. I've had no problems at all connecting to my work PC (static IP). For those having problems connecting, look at port forwarding in your router's setup. Small piece of advice: Troubleshoot from a computer, not the app! When you can connect to your remote computer from another computer, put the settings into Remote Desktop Lite and you shouldn't have any issues. Although the display is small and I would have to be in great need to actually "work" using this method, it's nice to have it as an option.

It's a FREE App Folks!. This App does what it says it does. Why people whine about a useful and free app is beyond me. It has worked great for me. I have successfully connected my VPN and used it across a normal VPN connection. So what it doesn't have VPN built in, it didn't claim to have it. I am disappointed that the purchased version still doesn't have gateway support but overall this is an excellent App for the money you pay. Great job MochaSoft!

Awful just awful. Why would u developers do this when I get into the app and something else just pops up can’t it just look like a computer when u get in but no something else just pops up idk what to do on that screen dude u developers won’t even let us in ur just putting in random screens and not letting us in u guys need to shut this down

Seems to work well. Installed and worked well. I need to do more testing, so far it looks great. I'm considering the full price version. For those complaining, keep in mind you need to enable remote desktop in XP first. Search for "configure remote desktop XP". Also, if you're behind a router you'll need to configure the router to redirect traffic to your machine. Search for "configure remote desktop router XP". It will require some comfort level with computers though. Good luck.

Genius. I love this app as it is iPhone friendly AND is the only free one that actually uses Window's RDP session instead of downloading a program and using valuable system resources. My only complaint is that it's a bit hard to mouse click on edge of screen.. As for the pebkac issues being reported; Windows XP Home will NOT work with this app as Remote Desktop is NOT a part of the Home edition. This means that the developer is not a penny pincher - you are.

Just a mobile vis. I think you have to connect to a PC for this app to work I’ve been searching on the App Store off for a long time now thinking I could find an app that would just be like a PC but really no you need to have a PC to play that PC app which honestly I think is ridiculous!

Works well. Works just as expected, a word to the less informed - you need to have at least the professional edition of windows. Also make sure you can actually connect from a PC client before assuming this app does not work. It will not work with the cheap home versions of windows which is probably what most computers run. If you have some skill you can hack home editions to support RDP.

Beware Ransomeware Leaker. This app is monitored by a human and is used to gain access to your computers. I was recently attacked by ransomeware using RDP and have discovered that hackers use this app to gain access via your credentials. Beware!!!

It works!. Others I tried were very cumbersome. This product worked immediately by simply entering my IP and password. No download on my PC required. Works almost like Microsoft's Remote Desktop app. Very nice. After using it for awhile I'll most likely buy the paid version to get a couple of the other features. Thanks for a well designed product with excellent help and documentation.

Can only connect for five minuets. Very good program but for only five minutes

Saved my skin. I just used this app in conjunction with the Cisco VPN that's built into iOS to save my skin during a potentially expensive incident. Instead it cost me $0 because I was able to connect to my infrastructure and do what I needed to do quickly. With that in mind I have paid for the full version because what I just accomplished with this app was worth WAY more than $6. Many thanks to the developer for making a reliable, easy to use, FREE remote desktop app!

Works great. Alot of people don't have a clue what they have. This app works great if configured properly. Also your home ISP must support outside or remote connections, in some areas I know TWC doesn't allow any outside IP addresses to be accessed or any open ports. Talk to your ISP before whining. And for the home users, Microsoft didn't put the proper application with that version of windows to do any remote connections you need to use a 3rd party software on the desktop to access it.

Horrid app. Time limit is total rubbish. Use to be unlimited with restrictions... will never use again

Pretty good for a FREE rdp app.. The setup was easy. Just download and install the RealVCN software from their website then install the app. That was it (it's two steps of you already know your wireless ip address and have set up your settings). It connected right away for me. The screen resolution could go higher but that's ok. My only gripe is that when you zoom out to show the whole screen there's a boundary of grey outside your pc screen. If they could fix that to show only the screen when you zoom out, that'd be great. Overall, I don't think the 3 stars does this app justice. It desrves 4 stars.

Great app!. I only wanted the app to be able to check my work email at any time. I already use the remote desktop on my laptop, so after entering the same info as on my laptop, it instantly connected and I was able to access my email. Although I haven't tried anything besides the email, it looks like I shouldn't have any problems. It looks exactly like it does when using the remote desktop on my laptop. After reading the other reviews, I agree that people should try to research what info needs to be entered before giving it a negative review. Great app, and it was free, so really worth trying out.

Ok, But Not Working for My iPad Mini. I Used on Today, but Nothing Happened

Awesome!!!. This app works great (lite version). I use it on a regalur basis. I have connected locally with no problem and remotely via external wifi and 3G. version. My only complaint and would give the app 5 stars if it supported 128-bit encryption or higher. Currently, the app supports 40-bit only. This is OK while internally connected on my private network but not to safe externally. Hope to see this in future updates especially in the full version (paid). The app works so good that I purchased the full version...see full version for my review.

not the real thing. well, it works but it is very limited (low color depth, etc.). found a much better replacement: iRdesktop which is also free and has lots of addotional features!! And one thing I want to say to all this braindead reviewers here complaining about not being able to connect to xp home or vista home: these systems do not have support for rdp. you cannot complain that a car is crap just because there is no highway available! if you want to connect to xp home or vista home using any rdp client you have to install some rdp terminal server software like e.g. thinstuff xp/vs server! so don't blame mochasoft for this but microsoft because they did not add this service to the home editions.

Windows. This app doesn’t work for windows 10 home

Works fine. I always read bad reviews not good ones cause maybe the company owners or marketing firm writes those. Call me jaded lol But most of the 280 negative reviews sounded like people just don't know how to use VPN &/or Remote desktop connections. I installed the "lite" version cuz what the heck, it's free, rt? In under 5 minutes I was logged in and working - I activated my VPN FIRST, then booted up remote desktop. I'm logging into a remote server for work so the computer I'm logging into is already set to accept remote connections (important note! Lol). I input the "IP Address" (which in my case was more like a URL than IP address). My user name & password & it worked immediately. No problem. Maybe me detailing my steps will help others. All & all, it worked & easy setup if you've done remote connections & know what it's asking. Now - does it crash? Lose my settings? Etc..? Can't say. I just used it once so far (hence 4 stars not5) but so far so good! :)

No longer allows no password setup. The whole reason I used this app was to remote into my PC that had no password. Now they change it so that this won’t work. Too bad. So long.

Works great, though has some minor annoyances. If you have the right OS and have it configured properly for remote desktop, then this app will work fine To those who say this is a bad app because it's not usable with any "home" OSs, this is NOT this app's fault, you will have the same limitation if you were to use the actual client program installed on every Windows OS XP and up, therefore it is MICROSOFT'S FAULT, you have a problem with it? Bring it up with Microsoft, therefore of you know what you are doing (and admit it, the majority of you don't), and everything is set up properly (and it took me a while to set up, even when I have had previous experience using remote desktop on the past), then it will work fine, so if it doesn't work, it is because YOU are doing something wrong, so if you need to, look up some information on remote desktop or terminal services and you may be able to make it work Now for the reason I rated this 4 out of 5 stars instead of 5 out of 5, there is a lack of dragging support, because of the zooming and panning support, so if you attempt to drag something, you will end up panning instead, this will make it impossible to do things like play solitaire or copying or moving files by dragging, but if you don't need to do any dragging on this app, then this app is for you

Awesome App!. Seriously, this app works perfectly on my PC on Windows XP. Now I know I can use my PC anywhere there's wi-fi! Although the screen is a bit laggy when I drag anything, it's a perfect companion for my soon to be clamcase. I can convince my friends that apple released a touchscreen notebook, assuming I skin Windows XP. The only complaint I have is that I want all the mouse functions. I am not spending 6 dollars just to be able to right click or scroll, and get all of these features I don't need like another keyboard.

Perfect remote desktop app for iPad. As an IT guy, I highly recommend this app for anyone who uses an iPad and needs to connect via RDP. Connects to anything from WinXP to Win Svr 2008 R2. This is an awesome remote admin tool. I must caution those of you who want to try to "work" on that remote desktop; it's a little clunky for that. I suppose the paid version would improve that experience. Also, before I downloaded this app I read all of the 1 star comments and noticed that most were from people that were having other issues beyond this app. For example, not knowing their IP or not knowing how to enable remote desktop on the remote machine. Seriously, if you can't figure that out, then you need to call in an IT pro or cousin or something before you slam an app.

Initial setup confusion, but works well. I was about to give this a one start rating, as I could not get it to work on my 3G iOS 4.2.1. If I go Configure>New>PC Address and hit the Icon area "PC address", the iphone timer just churns away, and does nothing. But I found that if you just input your DDNS address directly into the input area, then it takes it and works fine. It's pretty cool to be able to remotely log into my home PC network, and it's fairly responsive over a 3G connection. Very decent, especially for a free app!

Real tool for admins. Great program, especially for the price... If you know anything about the remote desktop protocol, then you are laughing as hard as I am about the idiots leaving bad reviews because they can't connect to their home pcs with home editions of windows. Read the reviews from people who know how a program like this should work, and believe me when i say it works exactly as it should. This program works the exact same as if you were logging in on a windows machine to a desktop that has the ability to connect remotely. I use this for our servers and several desktops in my company and couldn't be happier. Very pleased. Thank you so much for such a great app for free!

Best remote RDP and wake on LAN/WAN software.. Tried all the other RDP and wake on lan-wan apps. This one is the best I’ve found. Best but not perfect, hence the 4 stars. Developers, try adding SSH access to this list. You can’t access Linux servers via RDP but it can be shutdown via SSH terminal. I can wake up my computers weather they are Linux, windows 7 or 10.

Ok for Limited Use. After using RDP Lite, I can say that WinAdmin is currently a better choice for regular use. If you only need to access a server every once and a while, this free app will do. It's main flaw is the interface. Like MochaSoft's VNC apps, RDP Lite also relies on an interface where you switch mouse modes. The first mode moves you around the screen. The second mode is the mouse on the remote desktop. The switching back and forth becomes a pain. I prefer WinAdmins tap commands which are easy to learn and increases the usability. However, this one is free! So you have nothing to lose by trying it out. Version 1.0

Used to work. This app used to work perfectly! It had the ease of being at a computer. However, it hasn’t been able to connect for 4-5 months! Please change it back to the way it was! This app used to be a life saver! What happened???

So-so app. Initial impression was good. Easy to set up, network discovery was good, connection easy and reliable. However, in session, the only mouse click support was for a single button. No right-click support in the Lite version which is a major inconvenience - enough to make me delete the app and look for another option.

Great Free App. Got it working easily. Read the help-should get your average XP user going quickly - just ensure that you have RDP enabled and that the computer account your using to login has a password configured-easy! Thanks to the author for offering this free version.

Security. Has anyone else had a security question over this App? I installed it on my iPhone 4 & within 2 days of using it our server was severly hit by mulitple hackers. We haven't had it hit like this in many years. Anyone with similar experiences? I have tested this several times & each time it happens. I am convinced this App has security issues somehow. I have given up using it. If you use it, be carefull.

Waist of time. Can't get this app to work really badly design and instruction in how to set up are useless. Don't try it. Waist of time.

Too hard to connect. Same here. I have spent ages on two different PCs running xp and vista on separate networks with no joy at all. It either can't connect, or host closes the session, even when all firewall exceptions are in place. i have tried ultravnc and Realvnc. So i have given up. Probably a useful app, and it is possible that windows is just to hard to comunicate with etc etc. Its 2009, why two gadgets can't communicate a work out their own port settings etc is beyond me, all I want to do is enter a password and I'm in.

Phil. Same, does not work atm with iPhone 5 , even though update suggest it does, please fix, overall app is great, used it often on my iPhone 4, works perfectly!

Fabulous app. This app connected to work server(running 2000 by the way!) much faster than my home pc. It was simple, seamless and stable. It remembers my passwords etc and is so easy to use. I love it!!!!

Finally got it working. Took me a few days to work this out... But if you get the "host has closed session" message AND you have disabled your firewall and can't rule anything else out. The problem is the activation of your remote settings in windows 7. (right click my computer, properties, remote settings) There are 3 options under "remote desktop" One is don't allow any connections Another is allow connections from computers running any version of remote desktop (less secure) And the third is Allow connections only from computers running remote desktop with network level authentication (which was the option I had) You actually need to select the second option for this to work Thanks

RDP. LIke Tina Turner used to say, it's simply the best..........so stupidly easy to use, up and running in minutes, all my staff have iPhones and were flabergasted when I showed them my latest app, well done to the publishers.

Works With Everything(I have). Great App!! I have read the reviews for the full version as I have been testing the Lite one. Only problem is that people have been saying the Full version doesn't support Server 2008... This seems strange as I can run Win - Xp, 7, Vista & Server 2008 with no problems on the lite...(Why would you take that out of the Full Version) That's why this is a great app!! I do recommend. I can update a user account and reset a password away from my desk (Although some more testing is in order before a production environment is used) You have hit the Nail on the head with this app, I only wish the full version wasn't so high as I’m dying to upgrade to it ( I would like to have the option to right click the mouse button). For Free this app does what it states and it does it gracefully.

An RDP App that Works!. I was impressed to see that this app installed first time, without a hitch. More than that it also allowed users to specify a port number to connect to (which I thought may have been a problem). This app is a solid little RDP client that I look forward to testing even more in antipation of the full version coming out. I recommend that anyone who's been waiting for an RDP app for the iPhone download this app today.

Trouble shooting. If u r having problems connecting to a PC over wifi, it is because that if your computer is coonected to the router by cable it wont work with a computer connected to the router by wifi. For me this is the best app!!

Totally Underrated. Nice app, it's free as well. Ofcourse you can get more features with the paid one, but this is enough just for when you're on the go and need to quickly check something on your computer. I simply cannot believe how the reviewers below me give this application 1 or 2 stars, just because they are clueless on what to do with it :)

It’s only for MACs. In the ad it said it works for windows and Macs but no it’s only for macs and it’s so complicated please make it simple

Work for win server 2003. I just make a trial using VPN connect to server with win server 2003, it's working well. However I cancel buy the full version because it said not for win server 200x. Instead I bought the more expensive similar app. Please review the information!

Total rubbish. This App almost leaves me speechless, it is that rubbish. Seriously, why do these people bother writing Apps, when they would be better suited to a job cleaning toilet seats. The money I guess! Anyway, I can't even enter the password, because the keypad does not appear. In all fairness, the keypad did appear once and allowed me to connect, but it was so hideously slow, it was unusable. My other computers remote in fine using Remote Desktop for Mac and for PC, but not the iPad. So glad I didn't pay for the full version!

Fantastic. I've been using this app on my iPhone for the last two years and have never had any problems. It's great being able to access my PC from anywhere. It is even better on the iPad, which prompted me to buy the full version (support the developers people!)

Great app. I downloaded this app to use the wol feature and it works like a charm once I figure out how to scan for the computer my firewall was stoping it and once I disabled it found computer added My MAC address and everything worked fine even when I re enable my firewall dose not stop it from turning on computer or using the Remote Desktop feature 5 stars

Nice tool!. I have been using this app to connect to remote servers from home. Does the job perfectly!

Good enough to warrant the upgrade. Useful and easy to use. Yes, the lite version has limitations (what a surprise) but I was impressed enough to pay the pretty reasonable price for the upgrade to have access to the full range of tools.

Only colsole rdp. Can't work out if there is a way to connect to a true remote session to servers. It seems to only connect to the console so anyone logged on has to be booted off. From what I can see there is no option for remote console session. Would buy if the full version allowed remote sessions and console sessions, but there is no mention of this in the, what extra does it have, details.

Ful Featured Lite Version. Wow...Great job Mochasoft. This took 2 mins to setup, and does what it says. If you want to test out the remote desktop applications, without having to pay descent money, give this a try. A little laggy on the iPhone 3g, but we are down 128mb ram on the 3gs users.

dave. I have used this program and found it great. I then found out that it tuned the computer that I had dialed into off and when the computer was restarted it dropped me off. Not suitable for my application. Does anybody know of a free system that keeps it connected like working of you PC in the back ground.

Stumped. Look this might be a stupid question, but seriously how do i get this thing to work. I've put in all the ip adress and evrything i need to on the my ipod touch. But it says that it cant connect.... is there something else i need to download and if so where do i go to download it?

Cool and handy. I like it. And it's free. I will probably get the full version if i can't get everything done on this version. For those wanting to find their DNS. Go to the start button (on a windows pc machines of course) click on "run" and type cmd. This will bring up a DOS window. Type: ipconfig then hit enter Your dns will be shown I hope this helps.

Works perfectly. This is the best app I have downloaded. Opens any file or program. I've even sent and received emails from my pc. These guys really do have iPhone apps perfected.

Dont buy. Don't waste money for a app that does "rdp" when microsoft as an official version for it free.

Wish Jaadu RDP came in an iPad flavour. ...as this pales in comparison. I am either missing something or MochaSoft (or whatever their name is) wants me to pay to drag the mouse, right click anything, or use keyboard modifier keys (control and alt to be specific). Of course, this is a guess since the help is the most poorly designed bin of rubbish I've ever seen on an iDevice. Of course, you may not even get to witness this disastrous attempt at a help section because once inside a session, if you had turned on the shake-to-hide feature for the ugly and nondescript buttons cluttering up the bottom of the screen, they have a habit of never coming back. This may be construed as being a good thing, lest your eyes melt any more than they already have from the teal, blurry, compression-artifact-ridden horror of it all, however this bug forces you to restart the entire application and session just to get the (modifier-free!) keyboard back. Miscellaneous niggles section: Horrible UI, theres no reason we can't show the user the buggy saved connection list right away, as opposed to making them tap a large, gaudy, out of place image of a button (one I'd imagine seeing more often on a fake virus scanning website than a iPad app). Slow connection: my iPod touch 1G with Jaadu performs faster than this program on an iPad (yes, same network), doesn't quite make sense... Keyboard doesn't automatically slide the screen up with it-nine times out of ten I end up with the text field I'm typing into obscured by the keyboard I'm typing on. Even if I manually pull the screen up, typing is a pain since there appears to be a mandatory ~3 second lag on each letter, regardless of the connection speed otherwise. Suffice to say, I'm glad this application came in a lite version, I certainly won't be buying the full edition after this experience.

Works good, but keep improving. At $5.99, I found it a little over priced, but it should work well for my needs. I would suggest you add a cap lock key, and maybe a transparent keyboard???

Worth Trying. Get lots of disconnects for some reason, working on local network so there's really no reason for the trouble, perhaps a setting somewhere? Other RDP programs work without this trouble. Someone claimed this didn't work with Windows 7 but it probably does, just have to lower the security setting on Win7 for Remote Desktop since Win 7 default security setting is higher than XP. As a free app this works well for connecting to multiple computers. Other "free" apps restrict this. Great app for getting started since its free. Worth while trying this app.

Works for me. I use this on my home network so I can play music from my win7 pc without having to turn on the tv. Just typed in my ip address and login name in the setup and was good to go. However, if I'm working on something else with the app running in the background it stops after a couple minutes. It comes back but I have a feeling it's a power saving mode.

Crashed the phone. I removed this from my phone about 3 seconds after installing it. tried to run the program, entered the IP address of my windows computer. the program froze completely, then the phone shut down and displayed the apple logo for about 5 min, had to connect to the computer to unfreeze it. i nearly died. wouldnt recommend this for anyone until an update comes out.

Pretty fast.... I use this app to log to computer at the shop, for irrigation. My boss & i just love it!. Very fast to connect and easy to manage. It's a 5 star!

Unbelievable! I love it!!. I have been waiting for this app since I purchased the new IPhone. They also have a paid version that offers other features. It does work with XP and Server 2K3. Work with vista, does anything work with Vista...sorry does Vista work with anything? Awesome Job MochaSoft! No extra third party apps on the server or workstations needed, no web client to install; just allow the remote connections on the PC\Server (woohoo), and viola your desktop with a wonderful app called RDP Lite.

Serious system error.?!. App looks great and connected fine, but caused errors with my windows. I have now removed the user account I had created for remote connection and my system looks ok now. I followed the setup info on the website, but the error report screen always on top while connected, I had a very poor expierience. I will take any tips as I would really like this to work!

Works well, but controls are awkward.. This app works well, connects to Windows like regular RDP. The mouse or I should say touch function is a little difficult, but it gets the job done.

No Terminal Server Access. This app will not connect to a terminal server. If you try, it will attempt to connect to the console session. A message pops up to inform you that this is because of a licensing issue.

wondeful app. but doesn't work anymore with iphone 5

doesn't accept all character in user name. I tried this out for the first time today and when attempting to log into a non critical PC the app would not seem to type all the correct characters of the user name. I would try to type administrator and the screen would not type the last "r" so it looked like this "aadministrato" . Don't know why it typed the char. "a" at the start of the line but as soon as you get to the 12th character it seems to place an "a" for each char. typed at the start of the name. VNC worked like a charm but having difficulty with this. It really has potential! Al we need now is a cisco vpn! Bill

No vista support. I've been waiting for one of these, but it's not much good to me with 3 vista machines. Also and I know this is probably because it's the free version but it only stores 2 hosts it would be nice to have more like the vnc app. Oh and sound support would be nice.

2-minute session limitation!?. Uh, how is a 2-minute session limit useful to anyone? If that's what they're going to do it should no longer be called the "lite" version but rather a "trial" version. Luckily Microsoft's own RD Client app is free.

Good app, can be improved. Unlike other comments, my experience was quite good actually: quick, responsive, easy to setup. After configuring my work vpn on an iPad 2, I was able connect within minutes to my PC win7 station. Could be improved by adding screen resolution selection, in an easy manner.

It works!!. Works surprisingly well on my iPhone 6S. Meets all my needs, which to be fair are quite simple So I can start tasks that will take long and monitor their progress without having to go to my computer. Two most useful features are the customizable special key bars and the customizable screen geometry so I can use it in portrait mode easily.

Refuses to even start on iOS7. I can only assume the developer has abandoned this, as it simply crashes on startup in iOS7, which has been out for months now.

Does not support home or premium versions of windows. The app is lacking support for the most popular versions of windows. The support team are very quick to respond and offer suggestions though. It's a shame as I thought I'd found a solution to a problem I've long needed resolved

Works great, better than they say it does.. This worked perfectly. Worked very well with a Windows Server 2003 running RDP. I was able to log in and open MS Word, edit a document, spell check, close the document, all very quickly. Also supports landscape mode. Must have for any RDP user.

Sweet app! Wish I could hide keyboard.. I wish the keyboard wasn't always up upon entering RDP. I have to blow up screen just to see bottom tool bar and start menu key. Does any one know if they will offer this to be hidden at users discretion? Like in full version? It is a great app other than that I give it four stars being I can't hide the keyboard. Took as little as 10 minutes to log in. Good job developers / engineers

definitely works well, but not particularly useful. for the morons who just say "it won't connect", talk to your system/network admin before flaming the dev this app works like it should, but it's probably just a sysadmin novelty (at least on the iPhone's tiny screen) I had no problems connecting to xp and vista workstations via wifi through an osx server l2tp VPN from my iphone

Messed Up My Itouch!. I tried using this app a couple of times but i could never get it to work. I would just get a windows log on screen for days. Then after trying about 5 times and reading how to setup everthing 2 times it still never worked and in the end it messed my ipod up. I tried using the app store and checking my mail and they would just say updating none of my internet apps worked after. So this app sounds like it would be cool but i couldn't get it to work and it ended up messing with my itouch. Very unhappy!

Very nice. Works great with XP, Vista, And Windows 7. If you don't know how to use it, don't get it, and definitely do not write a bad review just because you're plain stupid. The only problem is that the icons for mouse/keyboard popup disappear after a while and it gets annoying. Otherwise great application!

No Need for My Laptop.... So far so good, I use this software to remotely adjust my Windows 2003 servers and access my XP Professional computer. Future ideas would be to drop the desktop wallpaper when logged in so it doesn't slow it down and also to allow for login to Windows 2003 Server without taking over the primary user on the server. Otherwise - super app! Thank you!

Does more than expected!. I downloaded this app so i could watch MNF while doing chores for my boss on some SBS PDCs. I must say for a free App, it did way more than i expected. Very responsive and easy to use. was able to login, create several new domain accounts and manage some exchange mailboxes without having to take my attention off the game. highly recommended for anyone seeking similar functionality at no cost.

Light-weight app appropriate for media PC remote control. This RDP app delivers exactly the features I was looking for in order to add remote control functions to my relatively new media PC setup. It's appropriate for light duties, such as controlling different media player software, and accessing basic functions on my old Windows XP laptop which now got a second lease on life. It's probably not sufficient for more demanding sysadmin tasks, but that's not what I was looking for. Great job, and it comes for free!!!

Works great and is free. Works well especially now with 16 bit color. Just don't undrestand why it should scroll beyond the available computer screen. Also, double touching/clicking the remote computer screen should perform a full zoom.

Great app. Some knowledge required. App works great had remote access to my work servers in under 1 min. To those who have rated the app low, please read up on remote access setup on the target computer. It is not on by default and needs to be setup if u r going to get anywhere with this product. Just like remote desktop connect without a mouse. Lite version is awesome for remote connections. Setup remote access on the windows pc, gather the required info, and connect. For me it's a nice gimmick to remotely control my windows pc upstairs. The only issue I had was with the firefox add-on key scrambler not working properly which happens with windows remote connection too.

Changed my windows display. Very cool app indeed, but I had to use system restore to return my desktop to a Windows 2003 appearance. Somehow after using remote lite, everthing appeared as in an older windows style on my desktop (I system restored to the day before and I had not used my desktop in any manner before acessing with remote lite, so unless some other random coincidence explains this situation, remote lite is the culprit--I might add no harm came of this and perhaps someone more savvy than me would not be alarmed)

Simply awesome. Never crashed. Awesome features. Connects to windows 7 and my windows 2008 servers (using lower encryption). Fantastic and amazing speed and functionality. The zoom like safari is my favorite. Purchasing full version now after one month of usage.

Better than some paid Apps. This program was easy to set up and use. Don't pay the absurd 30 dollar fee for Log Me In, use this instead. There is a paid version, but I find this version fine, as I am not a business or enterprise user.

Exceeded expectations. From the recent reviews I thought this would be a bad app. Not so. I installed on my iPad, searched for my windows home server and was connected in under a minute from installing the app. I was also expecting a half functioning app as lite versions typically are, except this one had all the functionality I needed. Stop thinking about it and start downloading it already!

This app saved me. Worked great!. I had no problems connecting to my office PC, even with the required VPN enabled. Enabled me to kick off a very critical process while I was on vacation in a very remote location. Granted, it is much slower to operate everything through touch screen UI, but I think this app does a very good job of making it possible. Another great app to enable connectivity.

The free version is quite good for it's price. Works fairly well, the main limitation being that you can't right-click in the free version. I haven't found any other big advantages in the paid version. Neither one could connect to computers based on their names (only by IP) and both require you to retype passwords once remote connection is established. This is the least useful of RDP clients on the iPad, but for free it's a good deal.

More of a question than a review.. Is this supposed to work with virtual machines? I have a cable modem that feeds into a wireless router, and XP Pro running in Parallels on my laptop. I haven't been able to make it work. The iPhone and laptop both connect to the wireless router. My suggestion is to put something about that in the FAQ.

Does not work with high security. Could not connect to any of my servers. They all use high security settings. The description mentions that this Lite version can only use 40 bit (weak) encryption yet a Full version is not available. I figured I'd give it a go not realizing that my servers would not accept the connection. Since I could not connect, I can't judge this app by anything other than its connection setup screen which was easy enough to use but only offered two screen resolutions and could have been laid out a little better.

Awsome app. This app is awesome and is great for anyone who likes the convenience of there iPhone/iPad/iTouch but like the freedom of a home or office computer. It is also good office workers if documents are left at home. It may be hard to set up for some people but for the free you have nothing to lose. I would recommend this app highly.

Very nice app. Before more of you nubs cry "Mac support", understand that RDC is specific to Windows and is not a protocol designed for use with the Mac. Try understanding what an app is meant for before you post bad reviews. Use their VNC client and VNC over ARD or OSXVNC if you want remote desktop access to your Mac. This works perfectly with my Windows Server 2003 box (even though the info states XP only). MochaSoft has made a lot of nice terminal emulation apps for the PC over a lot of years. It's nice to see them developing the same great apps on the iPhone now! Right-click support in the free version would have been nice, but that's just the cheapskate in me talking :-) Nice work!

Great app for free. For all you whining you don't know you are doing this app works great! I use it on my servers and it works great. It even connects fine to my vista ultimate 64bit desktop. If your os doesn't support remote desktop than yah come on folks it's not going to work. Don't diss something cause you can't get it to work. 5 stars for this app nice work

My review of RDP lite. Short n sweet!! Impossible to set it to work from different wifi's. The average person knows nothing about setting ports in routers. I did find another App that does the same as this one and worked like a charm the first time. The program took care of the router issue so it works from different wifi's. This App works well if both the ipad and computer are in the same wifi. If thats what your looking for than its ok. I would suggest the the programmer work on this issue.

Exceeds my expectation. My initial assumption was, remote desktop can't be good from a mobile. This product proved me wrong. You can control your PC in a decent manner. It can't replace you sitting in front of the compute with real keyboard and mouse so that you can edit a entire word file. I will buy the paid version to save more sessions and get more control of the mouse like entering ctrl key etc. Try looking into file, view, edit options to do more.

Excellent for a free App. It works wonderfully with Windows server 2003, Vista, and Win7; Ur firewall and OS need to be set up to accept remote connections and you have to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network if you don't have a static IP otherwise you always have to change it to connect and beats the purpose. You can also use DynDns.

Greatest ever. I have never reviewed anything else this simply deserves it the only reason i didnt give it all 5 stars is because keyboard input has quite a few bugs sometimes you have to hit delete alot to remove one letter other then that thanks now i never leave home without my computer!!!

Great for MIS/Network Admins. If you know you're stuff, this little app is great in a pinch. I installed it, even though the description said Windows XP only. I was able to connect to Windows 2003 R2 server on a 3G connection. Speed was very good. This program includes the ability to specify server name (in lieu of IP address), as well as custom port for RDP listener. Those that gave 1 star reviews obviously don't know what they're doing.

Great before the update.... I have used this product for a couple of years and haven't had any problems with it. Recent update did not work iOS 5.1.x Is it possible to release the previous release? You have a lot of upset customers. Of course, i have a copy of the app on my computer prior to the update. So, I will be resorting back and not updating.

Good for most. Most people writing reviews and giving it one star are jokes. If you don't know how to allow remote access to your network and pc on a computer, then this app simply is not for you and you wouldn't appreciate it. This app works great if you know how to setup your pc, so consider the source of the review!

Perfect. Great app! Running media center. Did everything it said it would. I downloaded a movie, extracted it to desktop can watch but no sound. Easy to set up, easy to use. Little slow on edge, but edge is slow anyways. Will definitly pay 5.99 for the full version.

Outstanding App. Outstanding application. Free version is exactly what it promises. Installation and operation is effortless and intuitive. The interface is fast on WiFi. I also have a paid application for access to my remote desktop. This is much better. I will probably update to the paid version mostly to support the developer. The free version is perfect for my needs.

Good but. It's good but somethings are stupid. The fact that the right click is removed along with other neccary features just so the company can make a buck. Don't get me wrong it's nice to do simple things on. I use it to login and ban users/make users on my win server 08. I think I'll buy the full version. Oh btw it didn't work for me at frist But then after the update it was fine. I thank the company!

Works Great. I use it to remote into my Windows 2008 server with no problem. It is not a replacement for my laptop but makes it easy to check on things while I am in the field. If you know how to set up a remote desktop the setup is easy. I would suggest other people to first learn all the in's and out's before trying this app. A must for all IT proffesionals

Still works after update!!!!. Folks, read the description page! If accessing your terminal server must go to menu -configure -select use old protocol v4. Not a big deal. I also had thought it no longer worked after the update. Flip this radio button and all is once again right with the world. Chillax.

Works for me!. I was looking for an app hat would allow me to remotely access my PC at work from anywhere. The price can' t be beat and I've had no problems working from anywhere. Too bad my job won't. allow me to work from home.

Was not impressed. At least, unlike Splashtop, this actually works as a Windows RDP client. (Splashtop requires it's own server-side software to be installed.) However, I was not impressed with the way it displayed my 1920x1200 desktop on an iPad. Rather than panning over the larger desktop screen, it instead compressed the image, making the text very hard to read. I could not find an option to do otherwise. Perhaps this exists in the full version, I don't know, didn't try it. Instead, I tried iTap RDB, which works great and does exactly what I need.

It's Free. Being a system administrator in charge of over 30 machines, this app doesn't cut it. For a very ocasional home user, this free app is better than nothing. I wanted to test this app in order to evaluate the core programming. Sadly, it is no where as polished, intuitive, responsive, or feature rich as WinAdmin. If you only use RDC once in a blue moon, you can't beat a free app, but any sort of power user should pay the 12 bucks and get WinAdmin, you won't regret it!.

Excellent application. This app is one of the best out there. and for those of you who can't connect, you need a password for your account. You need to allow other remotes in control panel and system or maintinence and your computer must be on. Otherwise, this app rules!!!!!

It works great!. I downloaded this app because accessing my pc from anywhere was important to me. I have a computer that runs windows xp pro and this works great. I can do everything on my iPad that I can do on my desktop. This app is awesome, and it's free! Who would have thought it would be free?

Works better than the description implies, but still not well enough. FYI: This connected with no issues to my Windows Server 2003 R2 machine but not a Server 2008 machine. Not quite what the "XP Pro" only that the description implies (but still means I can't purchase the full version as I need to be able to login to all of my servers). Also, lack of right-button is pretty crippling even for a lite version.

Amazing for a Free App. For a free app this one is amazing. I downloaded the app, pecked in my info, and within two minnutes was able to administer my Windows 2003 server much like I would on my laptop *EXCEPT* I was on my iPhone! How cool is that? As others have stated, I'm sure the non-free apps probably do more but this is a great "just in case there's an emergency" app for casual use that you can't beat for the price!

It's my desktop on my iPhone!!!. Awesome for free. Works great even with the few limitations. It is unfortunate MICROSOFT doesn't inlude remote support in home premium... But this app is awesome and easy if your OS supports it. I see my exact desktop. Can pinch and zoom and turn landscape. Great work! (let's me control Pandora remotely. Yea!!! :)

Excellent. It's not obvious in the app but you must install a vnc server on the machine you're connecting to. There are open source vnc servers for free. Once you set it up and have the ip address and password it connects instantly. Given that it's remote desktop watching flash video or any video is too choppy to be useful. Love how it handles zoom but the mouse pointer should be more like the other free vnc app

Works as intended. A FREE RDP!. Connected to my desktop without any issues. The controls are limited unless you buy the full version but for those who just need to connect to their desktop for simple operations then this is enough. Get it! :-)

Works great after connected. A challenge to connect. You need accurate router wireless settings, your computer name/ip from the router, user name and password for windows login and to enable remote connection for the user name selected. Confused? Well it's doable for tech savvy folks and IT guys. Novices will need help configuring Windows and the router. The app is just fill in the blanks.

App does not work. I am highly computer literate and cannot get this app to work. Tech support from mocha soft directed me to do things that are already done: configure PC to allow remote desktop, port forwarding on the local router, allowing Remote Desktop to pass through the Window Firewall, setup a dynamic DNS account. All of these things were already done, I can already access the PC remotely from another computer, both on the LAN and over the internet. So, the computer and router are obviously set up correctly.

Free and Fantastic. It is free and it works and should not be compared with paid versions of rdp apps. For those who cannot connect there are many possibilities of why you are not connecting. It did not connect at first for me and I had to hunt down the reason why. A little research on the Internet will turn up many things to try to diagnose why you are not connecting.

Better than Microsoft's RDP for my needs. I was able to connect to my hosted SQL Server without difficulty, though I had to change the remote connection string to allow all versions. It supported the underscore, which is a must for SQL Server development. However, you have to buy the paid version to get right-click. So pluses and minuses.

AWESOME!!! WORKS PERFECTLY!!!...except.... No click and drag feature, but you can still scroll pages by clicking those arrows you never use on your regular computer. Pretty much anything else you can do on your normal computer you can do using this app's capabilities FASTER THAN I EXPECTED. Unless another app has click & drag capabilities don't ever consider paying for remote desktop connection app because this free app well exceeded my expectations. HAPPY AS HELL WITH THIS APP!!!

An RDP client that stands out. V2.6 really addressed usability shortcomings with NetBIOS and Wake-on-LAN in one brew. It only gets better. The interaction with full-screen applications feels a little odd due to the floating desktop but I can't think of a better way to do this. The only big wish is for the video driver to support a wide-screen format. At the time I downloaded this one, I also downloaded a handful of other remote desktop apps. I couldn't see any real differentiation. Now I can say this one stands out.
