- “Shazam!”

There used to be a time in my younger years, it was a simple matter of identifying every single piece of music played on the radio. Now we’re in the 21st Century; radios have become practically obsolete, devices for playing music media beyond number. Each device having the capacity upwards of 100,000 songs. The average person needs some help knowing every song being played in a room within hearing range. Through the past ten years or more I’ve drifted back, and forth to Shazam. As my tool for telling me the name of the song I’m listening to. I’ve always never failed to notice, whenever there’s a song I need to know something about. Someone in the room has Shazam on the cell phone to help me out. Finally after a very long absence of getting by without Shazam on my phone. I downloaded the Shazam app on my phone for a long awaited reunion. The nicest feature about Shazam, it automatically connects me to my Apple Music. Then I can add the music I so quickly get identified added to my music collection on ITunes. Download the Shazam app, and give the music collection, and knowledge base a huge lift.

- Best APP Ever!

This review is long overdue but better late than......! Shazam was one of the very first apps I ever added to my first iPhone. It was surely in the top 5 if not the top 3, & it's so useful to a music lover like me! How I ever did without it still seems crazy to me, so it must never be allowed to go away or taken from any App Store. Let's make that a law so it will be legally protected! To the developers who created Shazam, I give all my thanks & appreciation for such a truly brilliant & useful tool that you've made available for everyone to easily use without the need to learn anything besides tapping a finger. Simplicity & Brilliance! Even more impressive though, is your unending & seamless enhancement of features & capabilities, yet always keeping it's simplicity intact. I'd love to shake your hands & thank everyone who's had a hand in any part of giving the world such a great program - especially to music lovers like me, but until I can, all I can say is Thanks to all of you. RA

- Not dependable

This app only needs to do one thing: tell me what the name of the present song is. It’s not that difficult. Songs don’t last forever, and by the time you realize you like the song, you probably only have a few moments to capture the song with an app, as you juggle with driving your car and getting away from any background noise. Yet, this app cannot the only thing it needs to do. It struggles to load every time, before eventually the button doesn’t respond at all to the touch. If you think updating the app might make it work, you’d be wrong. Admittedly, this might not normally merit the time to draft a negative review, but there’s nothing quite so annoying as having precious few seconds to capture a song and then having your dedicated app fail at its only job. If anyone from the Shazam bureaucracy is reading this, please make whatever simplifications are necessary to this app to make it work.

- Very Impressed. Amazed, really.

I've spent my lockdown time ripping my cd collection to FLAC, and I came across one of my electronic mix cd's from around 2002. No song listing, no CD-Text, not even a label. I spent about an hour looking through my computer files to see if I had any notes or playlists or cd-burning files that would help me identify the unfamiliar music on the disc. I tried listening to it to see if I could figure out the songs, but no luck at all. I was thinking there was no way Shazam would be even remotely helpful for this kind of stuff. I was dead wrong. Shazam nailed every single song, even the remixes. It identified one song as "The Sheriff" by Fila Brazilla, but the times didn't match up when I double checked AllMusic. My version was longer than the listed time. I did a little more research to see if there was a longer version. When there wasn't, I decided to check to see if that song ripped with extra silence at the head or tail in error on my CD. Sure enough, Shazam was right, and my disc was wrong: 30 seconds of silence at the end of the track. I am seriously stunned at what a great job Shazam did with such an eclectic disc of music. I knew it was good at the popular stuff, but most of these songs didn't have lyrics (and in some cases, melodies.) Anyway, highly recommended and highly grateful.

- Songs while offline

This app is very useful for finding songs you may not know the name of or new songs that you've never heard before. I only have a few problems with this app. When you shazam a song while your offline it says that it'll tell you the song when you have connection. I travel a lot and am a lover of all music genres so I have quite a majority of songs from around the world, and I might not always have wi-fi to connect to. I'm currently abroad for a wedding and my carrier doesn't support data outside of my country, so at the after party they played loads of songs I liked; I went to shazam them and waited till I got back to my hotel to open the app, and there was no sign of them. Another problem I have is Auto-Shazam. I turn it on and when I go listen to a song on a video and it doesn't react. Overall this app is useful, but there are some features that claim to work, but don't.

- Special songs I like.

I like to purchase music to play in my car. I do not usually want to buy full albums, but specific songs that I like. What I love about Shazam is that there may be a commercial with a song I like or a movie will feature a certain song. I may not know the correct name or who sings it. All I have do is Shazam it and there it is. I have used it so many times. My playlist for my car is unbelievable. All good songs. Not 30% or 70%, but 100% songs I like. The only bummer is that I used to be able to press purchase And it took me right to the place where I could purchase the song. I can’t do that now or if I can I do not know how. I am not interested in paying a monthly fee for all the music in the world. I want only specific songs and sometimes I might not be able to remember the name. Purchasing is the best option for me!

- Shazaman! Searchin!

I’ve been using Shazam for over 10 years I barely thought about giving it a review. Not that it really needs it, because many people already know about the app globally. It’s the best app to see what artist/tv/movie/radio is playing! I remembered when I first used it when 3G was barely the next gen with it at these speeds it made it so much better to search for the details without any needs to going the the webpage or anything else it is at your fingertips just one click their is a way to say “Shazam” to start the searching. I am not to sure if it works with everything. Most o the type I find my self just using Siri to do most of my stuff while moving around. It’s a very useful app because you may what to know what movie someone is watching or a friend my want to know without interrupting the movie they can search seamlessly!

- Classical and Modern Serious Music.

I absolutely love Shazam. I also love all types of music but especially classical music and especially of the modern genre. I play keyboards and was brought up playing an antique Harmonium (a pedal reed organ) and in a short time became accomplished enough to be the Assistant Organist for a large Presbyterian Church in the Twin City suburb town of Hastings MN. We had a small seven rank but very powerful Pipe Organ which was absolutely a GAS to play full organ even tho I had to sort of wing it on the full 32 note pedal keyboard. Now getting back to my review of Shazam. I think your App comes up short in identifying classical musical tracks and albums. Most serious music lovers prefer to know the Composer first before they know who are the Artists or Artist. I do wish Shazam would provide much more Info on the Classical Music tracks (PLEASE) but thanx a whole lot for what you do do.

- I’ve Been Shazam—otized !!!!

This is the bestest app ever PEOPLE! If you want to know the name of a song and artist this is the app you want. It is so accurate and on point. I always keep Shazam open in the background because I love any kind of music that sounds good to me since I don’t have a preference in music my playlist varies and this is how I use it .......when I am listening to the radio and a new song comes on and I have never heard that song....BAAM! I SHAZAM IT RIGHT AWAY!!!! when a car goes by with a good song that I like, or when I go into any business to shop and they’re playing some nice song I immediately SHAZAM IT......I love the fact that I it also finds latin music not only English music and the app is able to find both languages, and even classical music, well the list goes on. I love it and use it basically everyday. ❤️❤️❤️❤️😊

- Older songs

I’ve noticed you are using the release date of that certain song which may not be when it was originally released. I know songs released in 60’s and 70’s have this done when album is reissue. I’m having to look up correct year when making year specific play lists. Also, younger people take that as correct & won’t be argued out of it. Would it be a huge problem to add Originally Released showing that year. Shazam doesn’t always recognize older songs. Just finished watching Ken Burns series Country Music and a there were a lot of artists not recognized at all. It seems to not recognize music that’s not mainstream. I don’t tend too listen to mainstream all the time. Local groups aren’t noticed sometimes either even ef they’ve had a few albums out. Shazam not too bad keeping up with massive amount of music there is today. I just get annoyed sometimes when I can’t find the words to that dang song that’s playing right now!

- Too many changes, too much Greed $$’s

When Shazam app first came out, IT was a fantastic product!! and you could Shazam a song on radio, in a car, on TV... and listen to it “”all”” later & see lyrics, share complete song/video with family & friends.... it was a 5-star App... after it was sold... purchased and changed & compromised by ? Apple ... ? ?new ownership.. the immediate Greed for money appeared and then extra music fees, purchases, memberships tainted this once useful App... greed, yes, greed... absolutely destroyed the once marvelous features and freedom of use and listen to songs, many saved & shared.. & CD’s purchased at retailers... Family & friends tell me they seldom use it since all the changes and restrictions and new, greedy charges imposed/required to ‘checkout a song’. I’d have to say... that’s what killed its once, highly rated popularity... Apple Music and Spotfy biggest issues I hear about...$$$’s Good luck !

- Life changer

Whoever created this app purely genius and only for the people who really enjoy music. People can tell you that the Love music, but people who really enjoy music Will tell you how music can change their mood around if they’re happy you can make them sad, if they’re sad or upset you can make them happy. These kind of people, allows the music to get inside her heart and soul those are the true believers of sound of music. Which is a great movie by the way a.k.a.. So thank you , Shazam you’ve allowed me to download music from anywhere I go to the department store, elevator, just listen to the music in your car, I can finally do you know who’s singing that song in actually have it downloaded it onto my Music list. Finally someone who is developed this app understands what I’m saying about music. Blanco

- One of My Top 5 Apps

I LOVE THIS APP. I’m always on the hunt for new music and this app helps me do that! I love how I can be out and about, hear a song, hold up my phone, and in less than five seconds I’ve learned what it is. And it can seriously hear the song even if you’re out in a public place and the music isn’t that loud! Let me give you a few examples. I was in a busy chipotle and it gave me the song title. I was in a lens crafter and could barely hear the speaker myself. And there was this song from this short 1 minute video where my friend is talking over the song and all you can hear in the background is the melody but I was like OMG WHAT IS THAT SONG and I thought there was no way the app would be able to get it because the song was so subtle but low and behold it discovered it! DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!!

- Great app when it works!

This app is literally part of my daily routine so I use it quite a lot. However recently I’ve been noticing when I go to play a song using Apple Music through Shazam the entire app just stops working on my iPhone. So I figured it was just my phone acting up but then I went to use it on my iPad and the exact thing happened when I went to the map and tried playing a song. Also a lot of small things about the user interface will just stop working like the back buttons and scrolling on a page. It’s to the point every time after I Shazam a song and try to either add it to Apple Music or Olay it I have to close the app and restart it. Overall I love the app just wish I could use it a bit longer without having to restart it!

- Most Reliable App Ever Made!!

Since day one and what seems like endless apps downloaded since apps were created, Shazam has been that constant, that rock, that reliable friend. This app has been with me throughout the years and hasn’t failed, hasn’t been stuck in some circling mode of hell or crashed. Sure, maybe it’s had some hiccups getting some songs incorrect or versions of certain songs but we all have hiccups! Shazam you have helped me be mom o’ the year and always knowing the song 😉. You didn’t stop there either- you went further with letting me sing along!! It doesn’t get better than this app. Thanks Shazam, we are super cool together! Please stay this way. Add a trivia guessing game and BOOM outta the ballpark. Stay away from bugs. Stay safe. Continue to be awesome!! Love, Mom SHAZAM ROCKS!

- 3.5 stars

The live music lyrics could be better. Like I don’t understand why it hears the lyrics and recognizes if it is an a wrong place and “catches up”, but really, it doesn’t recognize if it’s paused? Can’t even hear any music but it continues as if it does. Pointless feature. And I appreciate that it has lyrics, but some popular songs don’t. They should sync to more than one website for lyrics. The ads aren’t personalized either, and honestly I wish it was. I don’t mind a clothing ad geared towards my interests every now and then, but constantly seeing the same add for AHS Apocalypse while trying to look at lyrics for my worship songs... I keep covering it up with my hands as I read bc I don’t want those kind of frightening images in my head. Being personalized ads, even just variety would be nicer. Don’t want to see the same ad every time I Shazam a song. And auto Shazam doesn’t work that well either

- Several Issues

Shazam is a very useful tool, but it does have some issues in this version. For starters, I’d like to modify Notifications Settings… but the link in the app takes me to the front page of Settings and there’s no panel for Shazam available on my new phone. Additionally, when upgrading to a new iPhone I lost access to the ad-free experience I bought into years ago with the since-depreciated Shazam Encore. I’m using the same account as before, but I have ads now… I’ve submitted a ticket and am waiting to hear back. A final complaint would be with Facebook integration. Most apps now show me a page asking to sign in with the Facebook app, which takes me there to authenticate; Shazam, on the other hand, wants me to sign in directly in the app instead of taking me to the Facebook app to do so; this is less secure, sends my data through Shazam for additional lost security, and is just not the way I want to do things. Security and privacy are important in today’s world, and Shazam needs to add simple support for Facebook’s newer secure-authentication system. Other than those issues and occasional minor bugs, Shazam works great. Aside from the emails about the top charts that I can’t seem to turn off in the app for some reason, I enjoy using Shazam and it has proven extremely helpful in identifying music on many occasions.

- Reading my mind

Shazam has been around for a long time and throughout its development what’s amazing to me is how it has kept up, not only with contemporaneous music but also music from antiquity. There are other amazing apps for music out there - think radioooo - But Shazam really defines the music discovery app process. I only wish that there could be a one button or step process to acquiring the music easily. I’d happily pay a dollar for every song I’ve Shazammed. If they can figure that out a lot of money will be made and a lot of musicians and music lovers will be happy. Musicians because hopefully they’ll get paid for their efforts and music lovers because they’ll have access to the music that they have discovered with Shazam. Well done and keep up the good work.

- 😁😍😃AMAZING 😃😍😁

Omg Shazam is AMAZING it works so fast and it even has the options to l’est en to the song in Apple Music and to read the lyrics and so much else! Honestly I would like to point out how hard this programming must have been. They work so hard! As for if you are thinking about getting it I recommend this to people of all ages really. There is really nothing to worry about for kids. And it is so helpful. At any time you can have it Listen to a song. I even did this when there were people talking over the music and it still worked. I recommend this app so much! It even works if ur playing songs on ur own and phone which is weird but helpful when using airplay sometimes. Very helpful. And approximate time and effort they have put into this app.

- Really Good!

Nowadays there’s a bunch of apps that perform the same function as Shazam... but they’re the pioneers so I’ve remained with them without even thinking about using something else, and I’ve seen some of those others apps not finding a tune’s name while Shazam is already offering to you the option of playing it through ITunes ...isn’t that pure sweet love? I’ve even find out the name of songs that are been played live! (Of course only with high performance artist/or people using some sampling tracks a long their shows). I’m not a write-reviews-guy ... but for Shazam I decided to do it in gracefully recognition of major gift that is for a music lover to be able to identify new music everyday, anytime and anywhere for years now! 1000% recommended ! 🙏🏽❤️ Peace ya’ll!

- I love this application

Like stated above, I love this application,,but,, and it is a BIG but, if you are trying to learn how to sing a song, hence the reason this application failed to get that 5th Star. That missing 5th Star is because when you identify a song and it has the “Lyrics” button to depress, after you tag that song. I the lyrics tend to lag a little behind the spoken/sung word(s). This short coming tends to leave one/you guessing what is to be sung next and has you from time to time playing “CATCH UP” with that song, if lyrics are unknown to you. If you could program this application to show you the next line of song lyrics at LEAST a split second before the song lyrics are sung ,, “THAT WOULD BE GREAT”, and for CERTAIN would gain you the 5th illusive Star.

- Could Be Better

It IS very useful in finding out the track name, artist, album of a great many songs. It DOES have a few flaws. One flaw is that it occasionally gets a song completely wrong, or associates it with another artist, but that is probably less that 1 % of the time. Another quirk which I don't like is that it frequently defaults to a newer CD compilation album release for a song when what I really wanted was the original album and it's song listings. One thing I like about it is its ability to display an album title exactly how you need to label it in iTunes in order for iTunes to be able to find the album artwork. If your title is just one character off from Shazam, iTunes won't find the artwork and you have to enter it manually. Fix the glitches I described, and it's a five-star app in my book.

- Thank you!

Shazam! I do not have enough thank full words for your team. I’ve been using the app for as long as I can remember, but I’ve finally decided to give back to you and post a review. First off, the free aspect is incredible. I hate to say this, but it’s such an incredible app that I’d have no problem paying for what’s free. Next, thanks to the app, I have danced and grooved much harder, because now I can find the music my heart craves! Third, I love the fact that I can prove to my husband I know more music than he does (we use Shazam to Test). Ha. I could list 100 reasons why this software seems to be some of the more radical to hit the market, but I’ll just summarize w a deep and heart-felt thank you for your passion and vision. Amazing app. Works beautifully. Many thumbs up.

- Great app, but one issue.

This app is great on pretty much every level. I used to hate having to just guess the name of a song or never remember a song again because nobody said the name. And no way was I able to tell the name of any classical music pieces. But with Shazam, all of those problems are fixed and it is easy, just the tap of a few buttons away! My one problem, is that it asks for me to sign in with my Apple id password EVERY TIME. It doesn’t matter if I signed in with it lasts time, it will ask again. The settings say it is linked to my Apple Music, so I don’t see why it would keep asking. This can get very annoying since I don’t now any way to stop it. Other than that this is a great app and I highly recommend it!

- Great App!! Very Helpful!!

App is great it’s very helpful when your trying to figure out the name of a song that is on the tip of your tounge, or who sings the song Shazam is there to help with that in a matter of seconds. I’ve used this app for a long time with all of the songs I’ve Shazam’d I’ve only had one issue, I think it was just a glitch it gave me a completely different song 2 times in a row and then the 3rd time it popped up, I haven’t had an issue since, I’ve also had a few app upgrades over the time period too. I honestly think since it was a song in a movie the talking and other background noise threw it off l, but I love this app!! I’ve only had the one issue and no other problems since the one mess up.

- I wish I could put ZERO STARS

I do not understand how people are getting what they want with this app. I thought this app would work to find “that song” for me, guess what? It didn’t. I got this app thinking it would be great, because the reviews are fantastic. The only thing I like about this app is that it doesn’t cost wasted money (at least I can just throw it away). I don’t know about anyone else, but I believe lots of people are also getting Shazam because the app itself made it seem impressive. When I first opened Shazam, I wanted to play around with it, so I sang Happy Birthday. Who doesn’t know Happy Birthday? Apparently Shazam didn’t. Then I got confused and tried it again, it still didn’t work. I finally decided to sing my song I wanted to know the name of (I still don’t know the name of). It didn’t work. Voice recognition is very helpful and accessible, but Shazam sadly couldn’t be with that. It shows how badly great inventions like voice recognition can be used for.

- Fork to my Plate

I've been a user since 2009. If music holds any sway in your daily life, Shazam is the fork to your dinner plate. Growing a product from a true mvp to what it is today, over (?) years has to be hard. There's been versions of Shazam I've passionately hated. In hindsight, I could only hate it because was so helpful. Today, so many others use this app just like I do, to record and put name to the soundtrack of their life so they can bring that music back on demand whenever they want. For the last couple years this app has been soundly built. Its my go to for creating playlists and It's connected to my music library. Shazam is how I enhance my time with my family and friends, building the musical backdrop for the best times of my life.

- This is an awesome app... but mine has been glitching!

I love this app, I’ve had it since it first came out. I like that I can link it to face book, share cool songs that I found on my face book feed or to individual friends. I can even look up the lyrics to the songs that I Shazam. However, for about a month now when ever I go to “my Shazam” to look at the the songs I discovered it kicks me out the app immediately. I have even tried signing out so I could sign back in, in the hopes that it would reset the app... that didn’t help. So I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it again. That didn’t work! So it is for this reason I’m am rating the app 2 stars. It is extremely annoying that I can’t use the app to its fullest. Especially when I enjoyed using the app the way it was intended prior to this issue. So if the developers can fix this glitch I would be happy to give this a app a 5 star rating-once again.

SHAZAM IS THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN TO MUSIC LOVERS SINCE iTunes. I listen to music much of the day. Whether I’m in my car, at home, on an aircraft, on a Caribbean Sea vessel, my music is on! What Shazam does for me is to identify music with which I’m unfamiliar in an instant. And the best feature is one I only recently “discovered!” As I heard new music, I used to run for my phone with the Shazam app to position it to pick up the audio. But I listen to so much of my music via my iPhone! I just discovered that I can simply click on Shazam while any music is playing in my phone from any source. Shazam identifies it instantly! Before the ding has finished playing from some radio station in the world, Shazam has made it possible for me to download it!!!!

- Exactly as One Would Hope!

I loath being asked to review. I don’t mind giving my ‘star-rating,’ but anything more dissuades me. HOWEVER, the folks at Shazam deserve praise. As a music-lover and a musician this app is invaluable. It is incredibly competent and accurate at its job! Thank you folks for your brilliance in helping me identify songs in a music world that is now populated with probably the largest volume of “recorded” classic, indie, and DIY artists in the history of our civilization. Just 30 years ago the task of your app would have been daunting, however now it seems to me it should be insurmountable, yet you guys are accomplished at the task. Making my life easier and my iTunes playlist evolving and diverse. Thank you seems insufficient. Regardless, thank you!

- Great all around music application.

The icon on this application is extremely recognizable thanks to its popularity and promotion. It has a 4.9/5 stars on the APP store and it deserves it for its simplicity. Its descreption is simple and clear and does not get much more user friendly than this as you simply push a single button and the APP listens to the song and sends it back to you. Its target audience is defined as anyone who loves music. Its stand out characteristics and content is simply how easy it is to use and how effective it gets the job done. This APP is free for all users. It is innovative in the sense that once you start up the application, all you have to see is the opening page, which is one giant button, making navigation very easy.

- Seriously though...

I don’t write reviews. I don’t care that much tbh. However this app is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Yeah I know it sounds sad. However, this app has brought me music I find just the last lyrics on. It’s fast and smooth and saves everything so I don’t have to remember it. This app has brought me music I would have never gone the extra mile to listen too. Bringing me to experiences I’ve never had. Even with no WiFi it saves what it’s hearing. It’s crazy. I was feeling down and I heard this song I used the app on a while back. I looked it up on this app and found something that is almost like personal therapy. I’ve recommended it to all my friends there’s just no beating something as convenient as this.

- Shazam Is Awesome!

I absolutely love Shazam! My daughter told me about it, so I downloaded it. When new songs play on the radio, the DJs never say the name of the song or artist, so it takes a while to learn who sings them. With Shazam, I never have to worry about it anymore! I’ve used it for TV shows to find out the song and artist and also in a store when they are playing music over the sound system. I have a party every year and start collecting music so I can play it during the party. All I have to do is go to “My Shazam” file to look at all the songs I Shazamed and make my playlist. Sometimes, I can’t understand the words to the song and I’m able to go to the lyrics tab to look them up. It’s the coolest App ever!

- Very good app and I appreciate what it does.

This app is great and it comes in handy since I am a broadcaster on an Internet radio station. There are a lot of songs that Shazam can identify that Siri can’t. There are just two small problems and I hope that in a future update these can be resolved. In Shazam below the Shazam button is a button that is not labeled. I believe this is the search button. But voiceover doesn’t know what to do with it. It guess is at what it is. Then in the top right corner, there is the charge button. When you get into this area, you are unable to close this area by going back. I’m hoping that Shazam an apple and Shazam work to fix these issues. Other than that, this is a good app.

- Poor UX. Hard to Shazam after the first Shazam.

This app does one thing and that one thing is not present on any page in this app after your first Shazam. So dumb. More — The “Shazam” button exists only on the launch page. Once you Shazam and it finds the track, you are forever stuck on the details page of that song. It doesn’t reset back to the Shazam page, ever. And it doesn’t let you swipe to go back (sorry iPhone Plus and X users). If you come back 3 days later to Shazam a song quickly, you’ll still be stuck on the last track you Shazam’d and no quick Shazam button access (read: no ability to Shazam). The only way to do it is to hit little tiny back arrow button perfectly to go back. I have missed so many Shazam chances because I opened Shazam, it lands on the details page of a song I Shazam’d days ago, and I couldn’t quickly hit back with one hand on my phone. Beautifully designed app, poorly thought out UX.

- This is amazing really

I love this app so much, I really liked this song at a party and I didn’t know what it was and I asked my friend and she whipped out Shazam and told me the name of the song and I was amazed. I immediately downloaded it and it’s so cool. It will take around 2 seconds for it to recognize the song and it will add it to your Apple Music if you want it to. It will also tell you who it is by, and how many Shazam’s it’s had. This app also doesn’t even require the voice of the person singing to know the song. It requires no sign up so you can just download and use it right away. This app is incredible and I really love it so you should give it a try!!!! Plus, it’s totally free!!! I love it so much! You should try!!

- Finds songs scary fast

I feel like hell is hearing an amazing song and not being able to find the name of it. However, Shazam will reach down into the burning depths of hell and pluck you out safely to the melody of your new favorite song, with the name and artist attached to it. In .1463 seconds, it will find the song you are looking for, even if it’s the part of the song that’s basically silent, or sounds like 10 million other songs. Shazam knows. Shazam knows the song you’re looking for, the thoughts in your head, your deepest darkest secret, the first time you masturbated, and the when and how of your death. Shazam knows all, and it knows in .1463 seconds or less. It is omnipotent; omniscient... and a hell of an app I guess.

- Shazam ANYTHING (literally)

This is a great app to use to identify ALMOST every song ever, although there are those tracks that no matter how many times you shazam them they won't be identified, even if you know the song and just want to know the artist. My one gripe with this app is that it doesn't match up the tracks properly; it says it's this song, but in reality you know it isn't and you shazam it a few more times, and then the proper song is matched...all in all it's a very useful app, doesn't take much space, and usually can get a match first try... 3.5 out of a possible 5 from me, but I had to give it a 4 due to the fact I can't click on only a half star. This app is 👌 by me... -Busyfresh2000

- Amazing Music App!

I love this app, it is so awesome, and here’s why: First of all, I’m a music LOVER. And this is a great way to be in contact with music. When I’m watching you tube, I hear music that I really love. I want it on my playlist of course, but I don’t know the title of it and I get really sad. Untell this app was released, I would use this app every day, and I still do. And I can get any song I hear basically. I LOVE IT 🥰 When ever I want a song I hear, Shazam is great, it’s easy. I take my iPad always on the go, and I get ten songs on my playlist every day basically. I hope you all love this app, because I totally do! Who ever made this app, I give credit. Thank you so Much for reading! Bye now. P.s. I love horses and my horse Bokaloh says hi bye😏😘

- Not as smart as you’d think

Shazam (at least for me) takes a long time to open to the point where it’s possible to press the Shazam button. Then, it takes a while to recognize the song. Often, a song ends before it can do all that. What usually happens is that I hear a song, then decide in the course of listening that I want to identify it. Then, the above happens and the song ends without being identified. I feel like I’m supposed to start Shazam-ing as soon as the song starts. That doesn’t seem realistic since I need to hear at least some of the song to know that I want to know more about it. Also, it’s not as smart as a human. It seems to recognize data embedded in the song rather than the actual characteristics of the music. If you Shazam a live performance of a well-known song—say, a performance on an NPR show—it will not recognize it.

- Complaint about Shazam

While I was talking on the phone today I tried to delete a song on my Shazam Library and I clicked the three vertical dots of that song. I clicked “remove from Shazam library” at least five times and nothing happened. Once I hung up the phone and went back to library I noticed it deleted five songs from my Shazam Library. This isn’t cool since it gives people the misconception that the song wasn’t deleted and they can continuously click delete only to find out after, that, they deleted multiple songs. Either enhance the system to allow deleting a song while on a call or display an error message saying “error unable to delete a song while on cellular data, etc.” One of the five songs from my library which was deleted, as a result of this bs, was a song I was searching for for over 5 years and now it’s lost forever and I don’t remember the name of that artist.

- The Best!

This is the best app I’ve ever used to help name those songs! If you guys want a feature suggestion, it would be to display a list of several songs with their perspective percentage match for what you’re recording. For example: 97.4% match this song...... 22.7% match this song...... 14.2% match this song...... ...... (and so forth) ....... Atleast, this would be something I would add to my app (if I knew how to make one). Because basically, on occasion when Shazam just can’t correctly name a song, it may be useful for us to see the top most likely songs it could be, and we could go through each of them to see if any of them are the one we are looking for. Also, with a feature like that it’d also be good to receive updates live, like after every second (and as the app hears more of the song) it updates it’s list of percentages of what song it’s likely to be. Updating live so that you can continue to shazam as long as you want, and the longer of a shazam, the more likely you are to see the correct song at the top of the list. ... Just a suggestion to make the app better!

- Simply the best!

No matter where I am whether it's the supermarket on the road or at a friends house, if I hear a song I like I break out the phone and hit Shazam and bam, I have that song in seconds! Sometimes Shazam can even catch a song with only the few remaining beats as the song is about to go off! I've had Shazam for as long as I've owned my iPhone (yrs) and I can only remember twice that it did not recognize a song: Once because it was a very old Blues song (the song was old as dirt)! And once at a nightclub, I suspect it was because the FJ was mixing and it couldn't pick up the track.. But overall, life without Shazam would be a bummer! I really love this app! Sincerely! It's simply the best!

- Instant Gratification

The first time I learned about Shazam, I was in a music store and heard a song that I liked but didn't know who sang it or what it was called. My friend said, "just 'Shazam' it," and I looked at her like she was nuts. "Shazam? Isn't that what a genie says when granting your wish?" She laughed and showed me -- artist, song, album -- right on her phone. Like magic. If your wish is to discover music, Shazam is your personal genie. Just tap the button and "Shazam!" All the information you need, including the lyrics, instantly appears on your phone. Tap another button and the song or even the entire album is downloading! I love it for its ease of use and reliability. Don't wait for a genie, just Shazam!

- Use this app more than once a day

To help me create fantastic playlists, buy some of the best music, and to discover sounds perhaps out of my sphere which I use to grow that great roundness & richness of my life. Only problem: it’s not ALL KNOWING. Had some disappointments trying to find choral music, or something symphonic, or not from our usual sources: like The Dmitri Petrovski Singers, or well-known Mozart choral pieces, which is disappointing, because I don’t know all the great composers by heart. And sometimes, when watching tv, trying to Shazam a song while dialogue is also apparent is too difficult, and therefore lost, to my great despair. I hope further iterations will allow me to help distinguish one from the other.

- Shazam is my Jam

I LOVE Shazam I use it daily, reminiscing about the good old days or Loving on the New Indie Pop, Folk Music, R&B Or " Let It Be" Shazam is ALWAYS there for me😘 & rarely do I Shazam a song you don't have in your Bank!!! It can become tricky with local Jokers and Particular genres LIKE OUR INFAMOUS NEVER MISTAKEN CAJUN/Zydeco Music From Louisiana which I absolutely LOVE ❤️ Like... Wayne Toups, Jamie Bergeron, (Keith Frank) Yeah!!!oh no scratch Keith He like's to TAUNT Caucasian Music TOO MUCH LOL he'd play into a song everyone would sing😊then Stop (Now tell me whose prejudice when I'm standing there loving your style and stuff then stop & Laugh and go into R&B? What you say??? Still love him though 🤗 From the Stylistics, to the Carpenters, Led-Zeppelin to Doris Day. Rely on Shazam For your Music it's no Faux-Pais! "Que Sera Sera"

- Used to love this app

Used to be one of my favorite apps. Would load in a second, pick up songs from crowded bars, or just a few seconds of a commercial. Now I’m lucky to get the app open and working before the song is over. Takes far too long to load. Also doesn’t decipher as well as it used to. You also have to press a small inconvenient button to go back to use the app after is has told you what the song is. The sounds wave bands or whatever they are called used to pulse to the beat of the song now it just randomly throbs. I realize some of these complaints are knit picking, but this app used to be so awesome and work so well only a few years ago.

- I love Shazam!💜💜💜☮️🤓

I absolutely love this app! It is user friendly and very personal! My favorite part of Shazam is.... Ok, I’m riding down the road, listening to the radio or listening to Sirius satellite and I hear a song that takes me back to a certain time in my life and I’m flooded with memories, I can’t think of the name of the song..... Then I remember all I have to do is open the Shazam app, hit the button, wait for a few seconds, then all of a sudden there it is, not only the name of the song but also the name of the artist and the year it came out!!!!!! Wow, it doesn’t get any better than that people!!! I LOVE SHAZAM!!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜😉😉😉 Thank you Shazam for making many dreams come true!!!💋💋💋💋😎😎😁😁

- Is PERFECT!! but..

I love this app and I use it too much but I hate that to listen the song you have to paid Apple Music. Yes I know that this app does magic recognizing songs, one day I see a video recorded in 2013 by my mom, in the video she was recording the window of the car and in the background there was a song playing, I was thinking which was the name of the song and I put the video in background and enter to Shazam. Shazam recognized the song in seconds and the thing that surprise me was that in the video the sound of the car was very loud. I give it 5✰ because the recognition of songs is incredible but i would love the app if you could listen the song complete.

- Excellent App, but my country is not available in Country Charts like it used to be

This is the best app to search for a music you don’t know its name, and you also got the music charts by country, which was using maps, and it had all the countries in the world, until now, when you updated the app. So there’s no more maps whatsoever, and even in the country listing, my country, which is Lebanon, isn’t available anymore in Music charts for whatever reason. I rate it 4/5 stars because of removing my country’s music charts, and I don’t understand why you did this. I just wish you could add more regions, especially Lebanon which was available but not anymore, to your music charts, and then I would rate it 5 stars. Thank you

- Very handy app

Works well ... Gone are the days of searching record stores for months looking for a song you've heard a few times and really want to buy it. But you don't know the title, so you sing a few words to the lucky person behind the counter hoping someone will know it, and then when someone eventually recognises it , you don't believe them until they play it because the name's something really obscure... Gee those days were fun , this app has killed all that and now life is a little easier , not as fun but when you hear a song just open the app and press the circle and voila

- Apple Music syncing is always broken

Every time Shazam release an update they break the auto syncing function and Shazamed songs are no longer added to the “My Shazam Tracks” playlist in Apple Music. I’ve tried using the Encore app, the standard app, disconnecting and reconnecting Apple Music, logging out and logging back in, and deleting and reinstalling the app. Nothing works. Songs have to be manually added. Very frustrating, that was my main use case for Shazam. It’s a great app and it’s even better on an Apple Watch, but I want to listen to music in Apple Music, not the Shazam app. Also, why the heck are the saved “My Shazam” tracks separate in Shazam and Shazam encore? Obviously Shazam encore has been depreciated but if I try and use the standard Shazam app instead I lose my entire Shazam history? Just a poorly thought out and poorly developed system all around.

- Internet problems?

To who it may concern, I used to love Shazam, a lot. Even though it may work perfectly on my iPhone 7 it no longer works perfectly on my iPad. In fact, it no longer works at all on my iPad. Every time I try to Shazam a song on my iPad it takes forever and then it finally comes up with a message saying that they’ll notify me when I’m back online. After the first few times I thought there was something wrong with my internet even though google was still working for me, but then I decided to put it to the test. I tried to Shazam a song on my iPhone and my iPad at the same time, it worked on my iPhone and did the same thing that it had been doing to me on my iPad. I’ve deleted the app and downloaded it again too many times to count. How do I fix this? Is anyone else having the same problem?

- This is my favorite app of all times

Friend of mine suggested Shazam while ago and now it’s part of my life, can’t even imagine it without Shazam. This app helped me in so many situations where I had just a few seconds of finding tracks name and artist. So helpful, flawless, perfect app. I seriously love it. Thank you creators, you made my life easier, long gone days when I had to search for the tracks online trough radio stations where I heard them etc. If I could give 10 stars I would, but I can only give 5. Recently I watched movie Shazam - this is exactly how the app feels for me - a superhero. ;)

- Good app! But I have a big suggestion!

This app is really good, but think of it as this. Your in the car, you don’t have Shazam on your phone, but you heard this really good song on the radio. If you could add a feature where you can Shazam recorded videos, you could just record the song then when you get home and download it, you can just Shazam the video. I would also love this feature because sometimes when your scrolling through Instagram or tiktok you come across a song, so if we could just screen record and then Shazam the video it would be was easier then using 2 devices! Hope you think about this suggestion! :D

- Doesn’t pick up music!

Great app but lately or most of the time it hasn’t picked up any of the music I’ve tried listening to as it always comes back saying “No result We didn’t catch that try again” after I’ve pressed the button to listen! It still does it even though I’ve got the music up loud or I’m in a cinema where they have the speakers up really loud and yet most of the time it still comes up with the same message all the time even though the rings on the listening section are big but still doesn’t pick up the music no matter how loud the music is playing! It’s been doing this for a long time now but sometimes it works and finds the songs but other times it doesn’t! I like the app but just wished it would work 100% of the time as it’s meant to work!

- Clever

I was in a cocktail bar on a cruise ship where there was lots of laughter, clinking of glasses, talking etc and I could hear this good music coming from the overhead speakers above the din. I knew I wasn’t able to Shazam the music because I didn’t have Internet so I held my phone up as far as I could towards the speakers and recorded it on voicemail on my phone. I came home after the cruise had finished, and used my husband’s Shazam on my recording and it picked up the song amongst all the laughter and the clatter - I couldn’t believe it - very clever - and I got my song. Happy me!!

- It wants to do everything

It’s a great app for searching songs but I guess now it wants to overtake all your iPhone apps and wants to connect to any available Bluetooth playback device. It has a great lag when you want to open a song in something else other than an apple related web site, then again, I guess apple own it and that’s to be expected. In today’s world of many apps and easily available technology I think they need to realise there are many other options out there now, it’s called competition!

- Was great, apple 5ucked it.

I’ve been using Shazam for coming up to ten years and it was always my favourite and close to my most used app. Since Apple bought it, it’s become worse and worse. The premium version (which I paid for) was killed off and now everybody has to use the same lame ad supported and Apple centric app. Listening options no longer support the best streaming services and many other useful features from the original app have also been killed off.

- Awesome app

Absolutely love it so much, I use it almost every day and because I’m hard at hearing it catches songs that I can’t hear very well sometimes. Only problem is it doesn’t always catch some songs that I can hear and it sometimes doesn’t catch live performed songs but other than those two things it is the perfect app, I don’t have to search and search the internet for that song using only a few lyrics I remember

- Hit and Miss

When I first got this app it was relatively basic which was fine, as it had the ability to listen and advise me of what the song title was 90% of the time. Unfortunately it did take a while to load then and crashed often while loading. Now it loads fast, has lots of additional features and can rarely tell me the song titles that I’m trying to locate anymore. Clearly I’m not after common hits, who needs an app for that?! So for the past year (roughly)I’ve hardly bothered, coz when I’ve really been stuck and needed it, it didn’t deliver!

- Miss Sammy W reckons

This app is the front and centre of my home page. This app makes me believe I really could be a Dj because of the convenience of having the great songs right there and then in my playlist forever. The creator of this app deserves whatever highest award he or she may qualify for. You are my hero Shazam creator. You have changed my life for the better and I cannot express my appreciation in words. Well this is my attempt anyway. Much love, one of the many number 1 fans. Peace

- Best app ever!

Every time that I use it. It brings back memories form the eighties childhood, when you dreamed about the future and thought how cool if you could have something like this that can tell you which song is playing. Rather than try to catch the name of the song in radio program. Tell you kids... it was a hard job pick. Sometimes you had to wait for days until you hear it back again. Cheers

- Thank YOU Shazams

Hi my name is mARTIna and I have only few App on my phone. YOU know ... the essential one that help YOU to organise the NEEDS . And Shazams allowed me, in the past 3 years to learn so much about a song, I could easily found it again because Shazams with only one click could tell me exactly the creator of the song and the title so it was possible to find it again on the net . and connect closer to the song the person I was sharing that song with ... etcetera .... 🌻

- I cannot fault it.

I love my music, and if I hear a song I will sing along. I will know the words and it can come from an obscure memory of a party my parents had when I was little. But I don’t know the artist or the name of the song. I am yet to stump Shazam. From getting the name of the artist, I can now follow their musical journey. It can lead me in very different and fulfilling directions and has expanded my knowledge and love of popular music.

- Pretty good but one suggestion!

Wish it would allow you to upload segments from a recorded video! My heart breaks having to shazam a song on the spot that I hear, and in case it doesn’t catch it, the song passes and then I’ve missed the opportunity to shazam it more 😭 would love the option to upload a recorded video so we can record clips of songs and then be able to shazam them all the next day (rather than just in the moment!) Other than that, love the app so much xx

- It’s an awesome app but..

I’ve used Shazam for years but it has been the first time that the app has stuffed up. I shazamed a couple of songs last night. Today I wanted to put them on my playlist. I went on to Shazam and tried to swipe where I shazamed my songs and all of a sudden the app freezes. It won’t allow me to see any of the songs. Everything else works but that. I have tried deleting the app and getting it back, I have also tried turning my phone off and on again. That doesn’t work either. Please fix this.

- Not Impressed

There’s more to life than just Money - Shazam you keep coming up with annoying ways to try and get its users to buy Songs. We now have another with the latest Update - a stupid notification taking up a good part of the screen trying to get us to go to Apple Music. I’d rather be able to see the info on the screen about the Songs. A Music type App that failed to realise that music lovers don’t need to be pushed to buy music and I wasn’t a real Fan of you getting the Video to auto play after every Shazam & waste my Mobile Dara. Think about it Shazam...

- Great app

This app is almost perfect everytime, sure, there are occasions where it can’t really pick up what’s playing, but thats more because of too much noise drowning out the music (which needs to be alot to stop it to work), or the clip is too short. To summarise, this is the best readily available app for music identification. From my tests, its more than likely to find what you’re looking for, even if the tracks are suuuuuper indie.

- Shazam review

This is an amazing app, I use it almost every time in the car. I haven’t had any problems with it apart from the fact that when I don’t have any wifi or data I have to wait until I get to somewhere with wifi. I scroll through the long list of music when I need to find a nice song to listen to a lot as well. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone.

- Concept

Shazam could publish playlists comprising the ten most or twenty most similar songs/tracks to the one for which the user was searching. On the presumption that the algorithm operates reductively by analogy, it should be possible to identify the five most, ten most, fifty most similar songs, etc. This would be a popular addition to your service, and I hope you find the suggestion useful. Robot! Peace out.

- Shazam

Shazam is good because when I’m on a road trip like recently and we play songs or hear songs we are not sure what they are called Shazam is a great app to help and if you like that song it automatically saves the song so you won’t forget and it’s easy to see because it’s got a bright and nice front cover :) great work with designing this app it is super convinient - user

- Little disappointed.

Well you know how your tuning this chick and everything is going sweet and a song comes on and she loves it and your pretending you know that song like your mum played it to you in the cot. So you swing your phone up hit Shazam and bang you need wifi. And you ain’t got wifi cause you blew the owner of the club off when he pretend to know you. So all in all I think Shazam should carry some sort of memory or ability to work under duress just like us men are. Cause you costing me time in the sack.

- SHAZAM is there ... for when you need it

In a change room in a shop in a mall: you don’t know when you’ll need SHAZAM: but you’ll appreciate that you’ve got it, for the great song just comes on once, and then for a moment. And SHAZAM satisfies your curiosity, for that great song can echo in your mind forever, and this time with a name, a performer, and your mind need not be wracked with regret.

- Great....

This app really is good for finding that song you’ve had stuck in your head, you just dunno what it’s called! In the last update, I don’t like how they got rid of the ‘Play All’ of that artist option. That is how I like to listen to music, playing on its own but now after EVERY song (which goes for 30secs) I have to change it. So now I don’t use it as much. But is great for selecting the song you dunno what it is called. It also has lyrics!!

- My go to App!

You’re my go to app and so under rated! That one song I hear that brings back a memory that I’m listening to and can’t remember who the artist is? Or it’s playing and I want to remember that song - I just hit that button and there you are - never an issue, always there to help capture my ‘go to playlists songs’ when I need them!

- Shazam is great as always, just not for your Apple Watch.

Shazam works perfectly on my iPhone. Unfortunately it doesn't work as well on my Apple Watch. I tap on the "Shazam" button and am taken to the "I'll tap you when I'm done" prompt. I have both a perfect signal and a strong connection to both wifi and cellular. I have tried reinstalling the app, but nothing seems to fix it. The exact same song will be identified almost immediately on my iPhone.

- Right on point

I needed this in the late 80’s & 90’s. No more embarrassment when I don’t know a popular song title or artist. The choice to connect with paid music streaming services rather than make it a necessity is great for us who just want to know the name of the music we like on the radio & also those who can’t afford streaming services can use it with ease. Thanks

- What I think of Shazam

This app is amazing, it’s great when trying to find the name of the song when listening to it and not knowing. The down thing is that sometimes I don’t get the song because it doesn’t pick the song up and I would want it to be able to try to get the song even tho it might be to quiet

- Shazam ... Still the best app ever made

I still remember using Shazam for the first time, and I still get the exact same first-time feel every time I use it. Absolutely amazing. The world needs music, and we need to know what our ears are enjoying so we can enjoy it again and again and again! Shazam deserves every million it has made. Thank you Shazam!

- Can’t believe it

On a cruise recently in the cocktail bar and could hear this lovely music playing above all the people talking and laughing. I recorded it on my phone as I didn’t have Shazam at the time and it was very hard to hear the song but when I got home I recorded it on my husband Shazam and up came the title of the song and then I purchased it. Very happy me.

- My go to!

I have always and always will love this app, its just so easy to use and unlike using snapchat or siri to find a song that i end up forgetting again, this saves all the passed songs youve shazam’d AND if you have apple music it will automatically download the song for you and put it into a playlist! So perfect! Highly recommend

- Seriously the best app ever

I have had Shazam for years now!!!!! It is and handsdown will always be the best app ever. I am an avid music lover and when I hear something on the radio or a movie I can just Shazam it and I get the song and artist instantly!!! This app has seriously change my life I get all the songs I love straight away to my phone and to my playlist!!! Best app ever!!!! ❤️❤️❤️😘😘

- Shazam Review

I like how you can “Shazam” songs if you don’t know the name. Sadly I can’t listen to the full song unless I pay for it on Apple Music or you watch the video. I do like watching the videos and reading part of the lyrics but I wish you could listen to the whole song and read the whole lyrics. Overall Shazam is pretty good, a few adjustments and it would be amazing! Keep it up!😉 👍

- A big thumbs up

Easy to use and gets it right first go. Maybe the app should listens for the song straight away when it opens, before hitting the button because some times it’s a song on a commercial and by the time you open the app there is not enough music for it to pick up.. Keep up the good work.

- Would have put me out of a job.

Having worked in the retail music industry back before the internet was live, this app would have put me out of a job back in the day. Very handy and prompt in finding artist/song titles. Truly amazing stuff an old music buff. I wish to shake the hands of those who brought this technology into existence- thank you! 👍🏻🤘🏽

- Shazam Review

Shazam is a very useful app. Before Shazam I struggled to remember songs from the radio, but with Shazam it’s not a problem. Shazam knows the song within seconds. You can even Shazam off-line, it is slower then with wifi but is still very helpful. Shazam will notify you once you’re back on wifi what the song was. I find Shazam so helpful and my life wouldn’t be the same with it

- Love this app

I love this app I believe it’s free and if I hear a song I like but have know idea what it call or can’t remember the lyrics. As long as I have my phone on me I just tap this and put it to the speakers 🔊. It tells you who wrote a song and what the name of this song is. Comes in really handy. That’s why I love this app. Would definitely recommend.

- Buggy.

Repeatedly prompting me to rate your app? That's a one star. Glad to hear you fixed it. Also, when I go to My Shazam, the screen stays white. I have to return to the main screen and attempt again. Second attempt usually works. Then, when I hit play all, it'll play about six songs, then loop them over instead of moving down the list like it used to. I like the app, and I recommend it to friends, but it has been annoying me lately.

- The Shazam app - review - quality

9 times out of 10 it's able to scan and get the recording correctly but it's even better when it happens in another language. The app is front page iPhone ready on my phone :) I'd like there to be a way of improving how it picks up sound (instead of it 'failing') and a bigger library of tunes, otherwise it's a perfectly good and very helpful app :)

- Shazam not hearing the songs properly.

When I 1st installed Shazam it’s pick up on songs was 85%. Now it won’t even pick up on songs from The Walking Dead series. How can it not pick up songs from 1 of the most watched shows on TV. And if it’s an older movie good luck with that. Shazam needs to broaden its listening spectrum. It’s pick up on songs now would be 40% at best. Have been looking for a better app, but none seems to exist unless you’re happy to have even more ads and cookies that you get on Shazam now!¡!

- Love Shazam

I use Shazam a lot absolutely love the app always find the songs I want I only with that apple user would be able to use Shazam inside the phone. Found this song that was playing in a video and I couldn’t find it because some are the lyrics are hard to hear it would of been a great help if I could of just used Shazam within the phone

- Great app

I have used Shazam for long time now and find the app an absolute godsend! I always use it to get the name and artist of the songs I hear on the radio. The only thing that I miss which annoys me is the ability to see the most popular songs, the top songs that people have Shazam’d. Used to find a lot of awesome songs that way

- Mostly I love it!

When I'm quick enough to pull it out it's 90% effective in telling me who I'm listening to. It doesn't always detect ethnic music (Turkish in my case). Also I'm not sure if it's just my lousy iPhone 5S but by the time I whip it out at the tail end of a song Shazam is still doing it's twirling and seems infuriatingly slow. But again it might be my dinosaur of a phone that is slow to kick in.

- Awesome app for finding out what songs are

Awesome app and use it regularly but having issues with linking this app with ITunes As this app will tell me What the songs are but every time I want to click on the link so it will open up in iTunes it comes up With I must choose a plan but already have a plan with apple And then must search for each song manually in iTunes.

- Must have app- but don't over complicate!

I have used this app for over six years and it is great for quickly identifying the ear worm that you you just can't recall the name and artist it belongs to; but don't over complicate the interface. Purchases are pretty straightforward but other links to streaming etc tend to be slow and make it harder to get back to identifying the next tune.

- Love it... but

Love the ability to find any song anywhere, and to buy issue is that sometimes it can take the app to load and in this latest update it connects to Bluetooth in the vehicle which then kicks you off the song as both use the speaker system. Quite frustrating, never had this issue before now

- Great App - Features Request

Love Shazam! A couple of features I would love to see built into this app are: search function - the ability to search My Shazam history for an artist or song title. And also when viewing songs that I’ve Shazam’d in the past, it would be great if that app were to show you other songs by that artist that you have Shazam’d.

- Please fix the Apple Music syncing

Whenever I click on “open in Apple Music” it takes me to Apple Music with a message saying “you already are a Apple Music subscriber”... I know, I just wanted to be taken to the Artist’s pages I can add the music. And any music I Shazam should be automatically added to my Apple Music library in a playlist. But that’s not been happening lately. It’s a great app, very handy. But these little frustrations are annoying.

Very good

- Fabulously Amazing!

Throughout all of my Shazam’s. They are all correct and this app is perfect for finding the name of that perfect song. Great app!

- Apple Music VS Spotify

Je préférai quand l’appli étant associée à Spotify. Maintenant qu’elle l’est avec Apple Music, les titres ne s’ouvrent plus sur Spotify... Erreur en permanence malgré une connections valide.

- Love the app.

Amazing response, quick and love the ability where it automatically adds the Shazam’s to either Apple Music library or Spotify.

- Wow!

- Shazam review

Shazam is really good when I don’t know what a song is. My only complaint would be that they are sometimes slow for guessing the song.

- 👻

Its better than any app

- Best App Ever!

Have you ever been someplace and heard a tune that is special to you but no way of asking anyone what it is? Boom this does it! Music is something that can perk up your soul when you need it. Especially during these difficult times.

- Shazam just sucks now

I’ve tried to find 12 songs with the auto shazam method and none of them worked i even played the songs for a solid 25 seconds each.. i had to maually search the lyrics by ear to find em🤷‍♀️ probably going to delete the app

- Appli la plus intelligente

Une appli complet et convivial au max

- Trop hot

Trop malade

- Amazing

Well it’s amazing that’s all I need to say

- Shazam

- Une bonne application

Très bien comme app j adore 👌

- The best.

Lo mejor

- Shazam doesn’t work with google music on iPhones.

Shazam no longer works with google music on iPhones. Screw you, Shazam. What a load of garbage. Deleting.

- Such convenience

Just wanted to put it out there that Shazam is it a league of its own I love the idea that I can just instantly have the song of my choosing especially when it comes on the radio thank you keep up the great work!

- Great App

Never let me down even with foreign music. Impressive!!

- I love it and always will

I love this app but I can not Shazam “any” Music from a tv show which is what I mainly what I use this app for

- Tell your friends

Hands down my favourite app since 2007

- So handy!

Wherever I am, whether it be in a store or at camp or in a car with the radio on, if I hear a song that moves me, I pull out my phone and Shazam it! POW! New music I can add to my library, thanks Shazam!!

- SHazum

Hey shazam, I really appreciate what’s y’all’s is doins wit the musics n whatnotS

- Integrate with YouTube Music

Integrated with Apple Music and Spotify but not Google Play or YouTube Music.

- Super easy to use

Easy to use and finds all the songs not like a few years back. Playing the sounds on Shazam is pretty cool as well. Does job really well happy with this app

- Stopping syncing with my Apple

It works well to Shazam songs but no longer syncs with my iTunes which I payed the encore fee for ... since encore is no longer I feel kind of fooled ... that’s the only reason I originally purchased

- Unreal

I knew this technology excited but I had no idea how efficient it is. I used it to create my own playlist on Apple Music while watching the umbrella academy and it works flawlessly. Picks up every song in seconds and attaches it directly to my playlist. 10/10 would recommend.

- Fitness Fanatique

Awesome app!

- Great idea, horrible execution.

Fantastic App if all you want to do is find out the title and artist of only a previously commercially recorded song. Absolutely useless for figuring out ANY live performances recorded or televised by any orchestra, artist, or band. At one time, you could hum a tune or melody and it would at least tell you the song. Now Shazam can’t recognize ANYTHING that’s not in its limited database. Popular, well known songs and music are totally unrecognizable by the Shazam software algorithms if it is not the original commercial recordings. Pretty lame when ANY human can recognize given music and a program designed specifically for recognizing music can’t even come close. It also has no ability to learn or be taught either.

- To cool

To cool

- Not working

Unsure of why songs can’t be found with a quiet room and good internet connection. Multiple times this month i’ve had to use my phone instead of ipad to find a song. As well not all songs are automatically added to spotify after they are found. Very frustrating.

- Can only find English and Spanish songs

I played classical music and traditional Azerbaijani music I liked and it showed some weird Spanish songs. Very disappointed

I cant even shazam when I tap this app is so bad

If you want to figure out what song is slapping your ears at any time or identify that banger on the radio you’re listening to? This is the most clutch app!

- Most efficient music capture app!!

Most efficient music capture app!!

- Great App

So easy to use! Alway pretty accurate. Love how it’s so easy to download the song you search if you have Apple Music.

Works really well and saves the song so even if you don’t have wifi/data you can find the song once you get home. :)

- Add an new feature

Create a link to head to YouTube

- Love Shazam!

Hands down my favourite app. Easy to use and adds songs to my Spotify playlists.

- Nice to know

It is good to know the tunes you cannot remember. Thanks Shazam.

- Love it !

Been using this for years!!

- Shazam is a 5 Star

Never fails on finding tracks I hear! Even with talking in the background it picks up the song I’m searching for!! Always a go to!

- Worked great, now glitchy

It was functioning great for a while but lately it only picks up on one song properly then I have to delete and reinstall the app again before being able to shazam another song, I hope they fix that soon because otherwise it’s great

- Shazam

je ne comprends pas pourquoi nous ne pouvons pas shamzamer une musique a partir de notre propre téléphone, pour la trouver il faut toujours avoir un autre téléphone.

- Login too often

“Every” time I search a song...lately I have had too sign in to my Apple account. WHY ??

- Review

It's cool😎😎

- Obviously uncontested #1 music finder

Legit the first & the best and still no other app can compare to its ability. It’s in a league of its own. THANKS SHAZAM !!!

- Library

Why can’t I listen to all of my library of Shazam’s? It just plays 3? Other than that a favorite app.

- Great App

Yes, I would recommend it and do recommend it. You all get it about 98 pct of the time. Work on that remaining 2pct for it. I had to go all the way to Costa Rica in 2009 to become aware of you. I was amazed and often still amazed. So keep getting better add as much old school artists of r&b,Jazz , PoP & Folk as possible. Personally not into much Rock but add for those folks with that ear and taste to. It’s only the right thing to do. Happy & Joyous Holidays to ALL at SHAZAM. May 2019 be BETTER for We, the Common People. Nothing against the rich and wealthy but they already do ok. It’s just their Souls they need to Concern themselves with as really we all should. Money is not much of a problem for them. Anyway ON WITH THE MUSIC.

- Greatest invention ever.

It’s been about 10 years I’ve been using Shazam I’m a D.J. from the 1970s old Hollywood Disco era and this actually helped me go back and be a D.J. again. This allows me to stay ahead of tends keeping all creative mediums fresh as any new sound that begins to pop over the horizon I can grab my iPhone push this app and know within seconds what’s up and who’s doing it. BRILLIANT! IN THE OLDEN TIMES: So as a professional person in music how did we capture new music before Shazam. In the olden days you would look at your watch remember the stations call letters call 411 information get their phone number ask to speak with the program director and see and remember what time it was and then when you got home you could call the program manager of the particular radio station and say that it exactly 1:15 AM what was playing on your station and they went back to an FCC broadcast list and they got back on the phone and they gladly told you the name of the song or the artist and the label that’s how we captured new music in the Stone Age. WOW So I’m still impressed.

- Essential Entertainment

Shazam has revealed to me so many songs I’ve listened to years ago only to forget about them and periodically wonder who performed them when I’d hear them every now and then. Most of those songs ended up being one-hit wonders; a state that makes it harder to discover who the original artists were. But Shazam takes away that limitation. Not only do you discover original artists, you also discover their original albums which gives you the opportunity to sample and appreciate other songs that never became mainstream. Shazam is essential to creating and enhancing your own personal music collection and experience.

- Read this!!!👀❤️

I think this app is sooo awesome!!😁✌️❤️ I mean like if you hear a song you wanna listen too then just use this app and then, SHAZAMM (haha get it?) you have the song added in your music😊but one thing is that when you try and use the app to find the song you want and you don’t have a good connection it stays on sending for a long time, and then it says the song is saved in your Shazams but when you come back on later, you can’t find it☹️☹️I think they should fix that though. But it’s a highly recommended app on my opinion/ fact 😂😂 so USE THIS APP!!! Love, ~Me🥰

- shazam is great, i just have some ideas

So I love shazam, it’s super easy to use and doesn’t take time to getting used to. The “shazam”-ing is super easy and quick to do which is why i don ’t have a problem with this app. I do, however, have a suggestion. I would really love it if I could insert a video and it would shazam the song in the video. This would be very helpful because sometimes I’ll be scrolling down instagram and see a post with a song I like, and I have no other means to finding out what it is other than scroll through the comments (which don’t always have the song commented there anyway). If this were added I would be so happy and i’m sure others would as well!:)

It’s easy to use and quick to find the match! I love the feature that allows us to use it off the app too because when I hear a song on Instagram but don’t know it, I can just pull out this app and find out. When I’m at a party and want to know the songs played while I’m dancing I just leave this on too! It’s no lie when I say that this is an amazing app. I’ve been using this app for a whole year now and I have a whole playlist of songs I found now thanks to Shazam. I already knew there were plenty of good reviews on this but I felt inclined to show my response too. I have no regrets in getting this and you won’t either!

- It is a really good app

My mom made me gat this app. One night I was asking her if she new the names to any of the songs that where playing. A few days later she made me get the app, she said that she had an app named Shazam. And she told me that it was a app that could tell the name of the song that was playing. I was like that sound like a cool app, I downloaded the app. I stared to use it right away. And I loved it, I love how it could actually tell you the name of a song with just a click of a button. Now I don’t have to ask her the name of the song that is playing, all o have to do now is just wip out my phone and go to Shazam, and get the name of the song my self.

- My Song Grabber! My butterfly net!

Especially on vacation, I love using Shazam to snatch up the songs I hear at cafes and restaurants. It is especially useful since I may not speak the language just having a server tell me the artist name might result in me searching the incorrect spelling. I love having Shazam in my pocket to catch songs with my phone like I used to catch butterflies with nets. My only gripe is that I recently Shazamed a song and, since I wasn’t connected to the internet, it said it would report the artist and song name to me once I revonnected. Well, when I reconnected, I couldn’t find the record of the song. Kind of like snatching butterflies, some get away.

- Amazing app!

Music is my life! I love discovering new music and always try to keep my library diverse with all my different moods. Before Shazam, I would hear a new song and fall in love with it, not knowing what it was called, but humming that small bit I knew for days until if by chance, someone tells me the name. Or I'd quickly type the lyrics I catch in Google and see if the song popped up. Only worked about half the time. Shazam changed my life because with a simple tap it finds the song in like 2 seconds. And even better it keeps a history of what you've Shazamed as well as adding it to your Apple Music on the spot! Really an A+ app

- Solid performance for years, but the UI went downhill.

I’ve been enjoying the use of Shazam for many years now, and have recommended it to countless people who were delighted to know that such a service exists. My only complaints are that (1) the interface has become cluttered and ugly; it looks more like a set of advertisements and social media buttons now than the clean, functional UI that it sported in the past, and (2) sometimes I have lost my pending Shazams while offline, which has been a real shame, as I remember a handful of times that I was really looking forward to getting to the bottom of what I had heard at the next available opportunity. These critiques aside, I’m a big fan of Shazam.

- AMAZING !! CLUTCH💪🏼🌎🙌🏼👏🏼✨✨

Such An amazing App...before Shazam in missed out so many amazing songs that I would hear but would be the one and only time I did ...and it literally made me sad every time that happened, now, after Shazam ...I don't miss out on the songs that touch my soul ...EVEN on the GO! It's that fast and accurate , check this out....EVEN WHEN SOMEONE IS DRIVING BY PLAYING a beautiful song, I just click the Shazam button and in literally less than a second or two, most of the time, INSTANTLY !!! LITERALLY !!! No exaggeration at all, and I usually never write reviews...but Shazam deserves this literally is a perfect app in relation to its promise. GO SHAZAM !! :D⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

- The joy of Shazam

I can’t calculate the number of times a week I tap on the Shazam app and say “oh my god that song’s amazing, who is that?” and miraculously Shazam comes through every single time. It’s like having that friend, I think everybody’s got one somewhere in their life, who is so geeked out on a particular field, whether it’s technology, architecture, the arts, they know everything about that field to the point that it’s almost annoying. Well, with Shazam, you get all the good stuff without the annoying part. the music of the world in the palm of your hand! You can always find out what that amazing piece of music is that is orchestrating your life.

- Great app with one issue

I LOVE this app, but it has one flaw, which is why I rate it at 3 stars. My favorite feature was that previously it would connect with Apple music and automatically add all the songs I Shazamed to "My Shazam Tracks". But recently it stopped doing this and now I have to manually add them which is a pain. Another issue is said that the app claims that it can read my location and create a location stamp for each song, so that when I look back in my history I can see where I searched the song, which would be a nice way to relive memories. But so far I have never been able to get this feature to work. If Shazam fixed these two issues it would earn my 5 stars easily; aside from these complaints it's a brilliant app.

- Good

This app is the best! I use it all the time! I am very forgetful! I love music but I forgot the name of every song I here! I like most songs and keeping all the music I don’t know the name of in one app is the best!!! The only thing I wish is that it could be the whole song you get to listen too! I like how you can go on another app and listen to the SHORT piece of music! Another thing is that I don’t like how I scane a song and it said there is no wi-fi and most of the time I scane songs I like usually when I am traveling so I have a song to listen to! But I can’t because I don’t have wi-fi!! That is why I am good no to give you 4 stars! Good job on those good reasons!!!!💗

- It’s great! Just One Problem

Shazam is a great way to find that song you heard on the radio that you never got the name of, but one thing I would recommend is if we could import videos from our camera roll into Shazam because often I see audios on Instagram that I download for edits on a daily basis but neither do I nor the person I got the audio from knows the song and I don’t always have another device to download Shazam to playback the song on my phone. So with the camera roll option it would really help and make it easier for me and a bunch of people out there who wants to listen to those songs😋

- This app is a disappointment

I used to love this app but lately I keep getting errors when I try to watch a video of the songs. When I Shazam a song and then go to the video, it used to be the same song but now it doesn’t. The last time I used this app I Tried to get I’ll be there by the Spinners. When I clicked the video, it took me to a guitar lesson of the song which is not what I was expecting. Please fix this app ASAP. For the first several years the app worked fine until the company was sold and now I have a hard time getting it to even recognize a song and even if it does it won’t let me watch the video.

- Not nearly as accurate or useful as claimed

I really don’t get the appeal of Shazam. It usually doesn’t work. If it’s a top-40 song, it works pretty well. Anything else, and most of the time it says “No result”. Or it picks a song seemingly at random. Then if you try again, it picks a different random song. It has no concept of “I’m not sure what this is so here’s a couple guesses”. The wrong answers are never even from the right genre. It’s like talking to a smart-but-dumb computer on a 1960’s sci-fi movie. There isn’t a way to train it, either. It’s even difficult to remove an incorrectly Shazam’d song from the history — it takes about 6 taps, which is about 5 too many for something I want to do half the time I hit the Shazam button. The other case where it’s good but not useful is classical music. Its accuracy with classical music is excellent. Unfortunately, again, it snatches defeat from the jaws of victory, this time by displaying only the title and *performer* (usually conductor), but not the composer. “String quartet #7”? I guess that narrows it down but it really wasn’t what I was looking for. I wish Shazam worked well, and provided results in a useful format. Right now, it’s a novelty when it works at all.

- Amazing!!! 👏 😎 Plz read this!! :3

First of all i’d like to say that this app is really cool and surprising. when i saw it i didn’t think it would actually work but turns out, it did. and i was very shocked at how quickly this app guessed the names of songs correctly. i definitely recommend this app for download especially if ur one of those people who hear songs on the radio and keep forgetting what it’s called. Shazam will tell u in max 5 seconds. but the reason i put 4 stars ⭐️ is bc when u “shazam” a song and it gets put in ur library, u don’t get to hear the FULL song- only a clip of it. and if u want to hear the full song u hav to get it in apple music (itunes). but other then that this app is really cool.

- Simplicity at its finest

I would for along time investigate the songs in the radio or out in the town, but with this app it makes it so much easier. It felt satisfying to be able to look up a long with either lyrics or beats to the rhythm when you found the song you were looking for. Now it seems the time of being a detective is in the past now with things being simplified. Shazam sure has helped reduce the amount of time it takes to find a song with 99% success rate and research as well. Thank you for the numerous times you’ve helped out and everyone involved with this project/app. 10/10 SA - Rank!

- Another Great Microsoft App

Having been an earlier adopter of the now. in abeyance, Windows 10 cell phone I was pleasantly surprised to see that Microsoft had ported this wonderful Win phone app over to iPhone. Originally a function of Cortana on Win Phone 8, in the days before the A10 processor made smart phones fast. Now on iPhone it generally takes less than 5 seconds to identify any music that has not been so remixed as to make it totally unrecognizable. Regardless of music genre or original date of release Shazam can “name that tune” in usually less than 3 measures. Microsoft has done for Apple hardware what Apple has not be able to do in software.

- Doesn’t Work on iPhone X 👎🏻

This app used to be so great. I had it on all of my phones (I owned every iPhone—iPhone 4, 5C, 6 Plus, 7 Plus, 8 Plus and now iPhone X). But every since the iPhone 7 Plus up until my iPhone X it’s not working. 8 out of 10 times it picks up all. 1 out of 10 times it gives me the wrong song name. And only 1 out of 10 times it does give me the right song name. This app is bull. Get your act together and fix your app, otherwise I’m going to look to other places to find an app that works at finding the song names. I’m very disappointed Shazam. I used to recommend this app to my friends and now I have to ask other people who have Samsung’s and other phones to Shazam songs for me because this app works next to never on my iPhone X. Please work on your sound recognition software for iPhone X or I’ll delete the app permanently.

- Not enough song recognition!

I know a lot of music from all genres (except country!) from many decades but there is still so much more I want to learn! Please Shazam, you have a great thing here. Start with soundtracks. More often than not I want to find a song I hear on TV or the Internet and you don’t recognize it. You need more employees putting song in. Also, have your app go straight to the find a song portion. It takes too long to get to the blue button to push and sometimes the song is gone by that time. Thank you for (hopefully) listening and your service. It could be an awesome app.

- Problems with the app

What has happened to this app!!!!! I used to be able to look at past Shazams with no problems. Now if I do any song that’s not in my library it puts in there. WHY!!!!!! The reason I removed from my library was because I didn’t want it or care for the song or I found a better version of the same song (FYI I have to do that too many times). For that reason I have to actually put the song I Shazamed in whatever playlist I want in. Also it used to when I Autoshazamed it wouldn’t automatically put in my library. Now It Does. I DONT LIKE THAT!!!! I have enjoyed your app up until this year but I guess like everybody else your having a bad year. Please correct these items or I will have to find another better Song ID app. The newest problem I’m having is when I delete my past Shazams they are being automatically put in my song library. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT ABOUT!! Again I’m DELTING THE SONG FROM SHAZAM AND ITS BEING PUT IN MY SONG LIBRARY. This really needs to corrected. I’m sorry to have to do this this way but you don’t give very good options to contact you via email on the app. Update: NOW I CANT GET ANY SONGS TO GO INTO APPLE MUSIC. CANT YOU MORONS DO ANYTHING RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Great App! (Just one suggestion)

I absolutely love the concept of this app! I have been using Siri a lot for finding song names by asking “Siri, what song is this”. But, I decided to get the Shazam app because it was quicker than having to use your voice to activate it. The one thing that I don’t like about it is that it pushes you to have a subscription to Apple Music which I don’t think is relevant to the app’s purpose. To listen to any song you search, you have to pay an additional monthly fee. I wish there just be a free service added to these kinds of apps. In general, this app is efficient, fun, and an amazing development in technology. Thanks to anyone who actually read this! Best, i.opri!!

- Ways it could be better

The app is fairly good at tagging tracks. There seems to be too much focus on currently trending songs. If you here an obscure live version of some song from before 2000 dont’t expect it to deliver with great accuracy. Main criticism is that the lyrics function does not seem to line up with the line you are currently hearing but is more based on the point at which the track was tagged. If this could be fixed I could rate it higher. Eliminate functions to show me a link to the official video. After all, I am hearing the track while it is being tagged. I can search up a video of the song later. Overall, however, does what it should with room for improvement. Inform. Don’t promote.

- Shazam!!!

I love Shazam!!! This is the best music app for searching for songs. It gives you all the information you could possibly want about any song. I have been using this app since it first came out. I use while watching t.v. As well. It will give you the complete soundtrack of whatever you are watching. And then you can add the songs or albums to whatever music streaming app you use. If you have never used it before I promise if you try it you will love it!!! Shazam is one of the first apps that I download as soon as I replace my phone. I have all the music I have Shazam saved to all my playlists.

- Not perfect, but still a great help.

There was a song that was bugging me for quite a while, I tried using a site called Midomi where you can hum or sing a tune to search for it, not very helpful at all. Shazam is much better at recognizing music, it’s just has a few hiccups now and then. You just got to find the right part of the song for it to listen to, I don’t know if “every” song or music is registered in its database, but I doubt there’s anything that can keep up with the amount of new music that gets made. Overall, I’d say it’s above 90% accurate, I think original compositions and video game music are a problem for it but I have yet to test that theory.

- Can’t give it 5 Stars

Even though I love the song recognition ability of this app, I’m displeased about several things: 1) Those of us who originally paid the $5 for ad free, etc. have nothing different than those who downloaded the free version. 2) Much ado is made about the time for recognition but the app loading time is forgotten and that is part of what might cause one to “miss” a song. 3) Also, am still finding many songs not recognized (but I do appreciate that it seems to get better all the time). I am happy with the simplified back and forth between Shazam and iTunes. This is a great place to basically list the songs you will go buy from iTunes.

- Good. Phone shake is gone. Playback needs improvement

I use this to figure out what songs are playing when I am out, but sometimes I try SoundHound if Shazam doesn't get it. When it recognized a song, it used to shake the phone which I kind of liked. Now, I hold the phone high up in the air closer to a speaker in a restaurant, and I never know whether it is done or not or when it is done. Its ability to recognize songs has slowed down considerably in the last year. Playing back songs is kind of a sucky experience sometimes. I don't seem to be able to have normal playlists in Shazam or Apple Music. Simply being able to re-sort the songs either from the last one I Shazammed or the first one I Shazammed would be really nice. One time I had to reinstall Shazam, a few years back, and I lost all of my data. Keeping data on what we like and don't like is so small, that it should be kept forever. It should not go away if we have not used the app for a few months or years. This should be a true practically of all software, like Netflix!

- Get this now!

Sometimes when I tap the Shazam button, even when I’m at my house, it says that I’m not connected to the internet. When I check the internet, it’s on. And, When I play a song, most times, it says there’s no result. But it’s still a great app, I would totally recommend it. It’s not the absolute best, but what I’m trying to get across, is that it’s amazing when you think about it. But everything isn’t perfect. There are some kinks, but don’t think twice to get this, get it now! It’s great. I bet you couldn’t name a thousand songs in a couple seconds. If you can, wow, I’m impressed. But this app, it possibly can. Remember, nothings perfect, Sincerely, Anonymous

- Genius - in my opinion

I am 37 years old. I grew up long before even the Internet had arrived let alone cell phones and app technology. I can’t possibly count all the times I have heard songs on movies and on the radio that I never got find out who performed the music. All that great music I missed out on because I didn’t have a Shazam. In my opinion it is the best app that I have ever encountered. Especially in the age of pause and rewind TV where I can go back and Shazam a song that I heard and liked. It’s not the most fun or interactive App that I’ve ever used obviously, but it is hands-down the most genius, IMO.

- Don’t get this app it doesn’t💔😭😡😡

OK so I play the song all my friends know it but we all didn’t know song title was so he pulled out Shazam we tried tried again and again and again and again but it still wouldn’t work kept saying we didn’t quite catch that we are we we turned it up louder and lower and louder and louder but it still wouldn’t work and the one time it didn’t work it wasn’t even the song it was some random metal song that we were not trying to find we knew it wasn’t the right song because it had none of the same lyrics and we tried other songs it didn’t work we got so excited because it said we caught that song we play the song it was still the wrong song don’t get this app it doesn’t work trust me💔😭😡😡😡😡

- Shazam review

I have this app 4 out of 5 stars because this is a great app there isn’t any important flaws in its major points, but I think there is more room for improvement and more things that could be added. One example of something that can be added is notes, if you have notes of a list in Shazam where you can write the name, artist, album, etc... and remember that is you want to download this song of find it later to listen to and after finding the information about a song giving you the option to add the information to a note immediately. Thank you for your opportunity to let me give my input.

- Spectacular

This app is my go to the moment I hear a great song or when I hear a song I want to know the name of just because. It’s so easy and fast, I love it! I went to Puerto Rico not too long ago and I was able to bring back with me hundreds of songs from there because of Shazam. Sometimes yes it can’t find the song but that’ll be because it’s a remix not out yet or a Mexican song. Which by the way I would appreciate it if you expanded your diversity of music in Spanish. I would recommend this app to all my friends but not my family since it’s for the most part for English music.

- Better than I thought

It doesn’t just know current stuff or even stuff that came out a few years ago. It knows everything from at least the 1940’s (the earliest song I found was from 1945) and as far as Japan. Plus, if you repeat a single beat enough times it can still identify the song sometimes, so if your ever watching a video but outside noise is getting in the way of the song, just try to find a spot where the song is relatively louder and try to Shazam it. It’s work for me plenty of times. This was very much worth the purchase so give it a shot.

- Well, it could be useful in the future

So i downloaded this to hopefully find a song that i listened to yesterday. It had no vocals (which shazam couldnt pick up, which I expected since the song probably isnt that well known and im not even sure if shazam can find instrumental songs), and it was a fan song from a certain xianxia novel. I found it on both instagram and twitter, separate ppl, covers and video, but overall it was the same song. In the comments of each, i asked if they knew the songs name/creator. Still looking for results tho XD Ill keep this rotting on my phone for now, might be useful later for any other run ins with unknown songs :)

- Shazamazing!!

I’ve been using Shazam since it first launched. Initially, I thought it was a great service. However, over the years I started noticing it getting a bit better here and then a bit better there; the improvements in every aspect of the app and the service just kept coming. Today I opened the app and within the first 2-3 notes of the song I was “shazaming”, there were the results right in front of me; barely a couple seconds had passed. Now I think this is THE BEST service and app of its kind. If you’ve never Shazamed, you really don’t know what you’re missing!

- Etymology of Shazam

#Shazam, the word, is an acronymized magic spell, sort of like the start of making an audible glyph, if you will; “acronym of six "immortal elders": Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, and Mercury”); an incantation intended to transform Billy Batson into #CaptainMarvel, his own antithesis and hero/whole form/ #livingmybestlife . What is magic if not the right words uttered in the proper sequence, to bend the universe to your will. I love the weird retroactive social media platform that Shazam becomes when you are the first person to ‘Shazam!’ a song and then times crawls by and eventually thousands of other people have Shazam’d it BUT YOU WERE NUMBER ONE BABY, NOT A CHEAP RIP-OFF of #Supes.

- Changed

I’ll start by saying that I’ve had Shazam’s app since the beginning, I thought and do think that it is the best app ever created. I use this app so much more than any other on my phone, love it. That being said, they changed something that is irritating to me. For some reason I cannot listen to a sample from the iTunes Store, and then open up Shazam to have it listen and and then store it. As soon as you tap the listen button, the song stops. 😡😡 Why? Why would they change that? So then, now I’ve had to drop my rating from a perfect 5 stars, down to 4. 😡

- Great for Songs

So I have been using Shazam to see what the song is named on the radio, even though my brother can name all of the songs on the radio, it’s just helpful when you hear a song in a store or at somewhere else and you don’t know it. The only thing I wish would be in the system (which is probably impossible) is to have it where you can say the lyrics or try to replicate the beat, then it will give you the songs that have that beat and you can listen to each of them and find the correct one. Overall just a good app. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

- It's ok

It does work often enough for me to keep it on my phone, but I HATE that it automatically makes me "follow" an artist just because I Shazamed it. Not everyone is using the app is a tween with an insane need to post about every aspect of their life on multiple social media platforms. I don't want to follow anyone or get any news about any bands or performers. Let me decide that, don't do it for me. As far as I know, auto following is default and you can't turn it off. Would love to be wrong about that. I frequently miss songs because it takes the app so long to start up and it will often tag the wrong performer doing a song. Same song done by more than one person/band and it picks the wrong one.

- If you love new music, you’ll love this app!

I never rate apps, but this one I will. I rely on this app everywhere I go. Anytime I hear a tune that I like, I whip out my phone and SHAZAM, I have the artist and name of a song. There are some artists I probably would have never heard of if I didn’t SHAZAM their song at the bar or shopping at the mall. They have updated this app a lot since I first downloaded it. Now, I can sing the songs with lyrics, real time. Pretty cool, if you ask me. DOWNLOAD THIS APP if you want to be the person in the car with the aux cord and people in the back saying, “this song is fire!” 😂🔥

- 🎹🎤🎺🎼🥁♟🎯🎳🎹

As s music junkie I listen to all genres of music. No matter where I am, restaurant, shopping, in my car... I always end up hearing a tune that 1- I’ve never before and love 2- a tune that brings back fond memories of a special time and/or 3- an oldie but a goodie or a one hit wonder that I just can’t remember the artist. Without thought, the first thing I do is grab my phone and tap the Shazam app. Not a second goes by AND 💥 BAM! It pops up on the screen; song title, artist and album name! The BEST part is.. if I love it and don’t have it in my collection already I can go straight to Apple Music and download it!

- Identifies Remixes Perfectly!!!

After using another music identifying app and being constantly displeased with its inability to match and identify music, especially with remixes, I used Shazam and within milliseconds it matches the remix I'm listening to! I've never been more proud of an app that does exactly what I want it to do which is to identify music especially the songs that may not be as popular and well known as others. Kudos to the developers of Shazam. There are millions of songs out there but I know I can count on Shazam to match the song so I can put it on my next playlist! You rock 🤘🏼

- Still holds up

I already had 50k+ songs when Shazam first came out. Its completely opened new genres of music to through tv shows and commercials to a song I head playing on a carnival ride operators boom box while I waited in line. Its been a link to different generations and help forge and maintain relationships. I’d have to say it’s truly been one of the strongest and most important, yet completely unrecognized tools in music of our generation generation. I don’t and can’t nor ever will I not understand Any one who can’t understand the benefits it provides and use it on a regular basis! LOVE IT!

- What Have You DONE?!?

This was my favorite app. I loved it. The only ‘improvement’ it needed was to recognize more songs. It did not need changing! I checked over the new look & it starts playing even though I hit Not Now. I am not usually in a place where sound can just start up!! On top of that I cannot find a way to delete anything in this ‘playlist’ that I did not want. Sometimes I Shazam things for reasons other than I like it. Like on a bet. Or to see who is really that bad & annoying. (Not eating there again). I cannot find a way to delete these hideous sounds & artists. Is there a way I can go back to an older version? I will change back to 5 stars if I can get rid of this. I am NOT interested in Apple Music at all. I guess this is to make me subscribe. Not happening. Especially now.

- It just doesn't work often enough

The app was great during the first couple years I used it, but over the last 6 months or so it has failed so many times to catch classic, easily identifiable songs, with my iPhone XS Max in perfect condition and placed right next to the sound source. It's frustrating to be standing next to a speaker with the phone resting in my hand a few feet away, with virtually no ambient noise, and it tells me there's "no result." It's supposed to get smarter over time, not worse. Soundhound has been much better so far. I've tested it. First I use Shazam, it says there's no result, and then I use Soundhound and it immediately identifies the song. At this point I'm deleting the app.

- Remix

App is great for identifying a song at any venue and this is adequate the majority of the time. My main issue with the app is that it doesn’t always identify remixes correctly, and as a result you might be trying to figure out which remix of a song you’re hearing but the app simply gives you the original as the result. And I have my iTunes set up to import songs I use Shazam to identify, but often even if Shazam identifies that a remix is being played, it is the original that gets sent to my iTunes playlist. This should be fixed; an original and a remix are distinct tracks and should be treated as such, not treated like they are interchangeable.

- Shazam made my day

I am a long-time Shazam user, I swear by this app. It always captures special songs that I view in the future to bring back great memories. But tonight they went above and beyond and found a song I tried to search over a month ago that didn’t turn up any results and I forgot about it until till tonight, when they notified me that they found the song after a month of me forgetting about it..I didn’t recognize the song at first. Once I listened to it it brought back such a good night. I was really taken back, what a great app!🥺💛

- Shazam! Yes!

Shazam is in my opinion one of the greatest apps ever created. I remember being a kid in the 90’s I would listen to the radio and sometimes I would not have any idea who sang a song that I loved. Shazam has fixed that issue and I couldn’t be happier. I hear a song now and boom! I open the app and tap on the Shazam logo and it starts listening to the song. Then it tells me who sings it and where I can download the song. It is easily one of my favorite apps. I don’t use it very much but when I do it works perfectly. It is a must for anyone who loves to listen to music. Rob
