❤️❤️❤️. Amazing. The animations and story is so beautiful. True, you need a lot of patience, but I always enjoy playing. I cannot wait for when the 400 days are over, I wonder what will happen! If you are looking for an easy, relaxing game, it’s this!

Fun Game. Fun game but sadly does not synchronize on my tablet.

Nope. Sorry. I desperately tried to like this game. It’s too slow. I’m upset that I paid five dollars for this game.

Very frustrating…. Can’t get past the SUPER LONG intro and when I quit it restarts the darn intro every time. It’s almost like it doesn’t want you to actually play the game.

Why can’t I draw?. It gives me this symbol 🚫. My first day playing I could draw, but now I can’t?!?

Stunning⭐️. I adore this game. The animation, the story, the cheeky little shade. I’m so attached to him! I really appreciated the long form of this game. It makes finishing a task so satisfying! I haven’t enjoyed solving a “puzzle” (like finding the pick ax) so much in years. I’ve discovered 4 of the 5 endings. Can’t wait to figure out the last one!

Already obsessed. The little dude (a shade- I call him Ash) walks super slow because he has all the time in the world, but its an idle game so you can close out and come back to see how far he's gotten. It’s a test of patience to be sure, but I’m already looking forward to the rewards and progress that comes with time. I wish there was a widget available to see what he’s up to or thinking when not in-game because his little mosquito face brings me joy. I also wish we could label the remembered spots because they are hard to see and difficult to discern from one another.

Too slow. I really wanted to like this game but the speed in which the character wakes is irritating. I had to stop.

There's nothing else like it. I played it on PC first and it was an utterly unique experience. It etched an eternal memory in the darkest depths of my mind. Very few games harbor true magic. This is one.

Amazingly obsessed!. There are fewer than few truly engaging games, and this one in particular have me emotionally hooked. I wanted to achieve every milestone, but at the same time ending its longing. Might play it again to unlock the rest.

Wonderful, some glitches. I’ve wanted this game for years now, and I was finally able to get it on mobile! While it’s great, there’s a lot of glitches when it comes to room decorating. For example, I may click on a crystal at one end of the room and a crystal on the complete opposite end gets selected instead and gets automatically moved to where I just clicked. And then when I finally place that crystal down a completely random one gets selected and moved to the spot where I put the previous crystal down. This is the only problem I’ve had with the game so far, though. Thank you!

Boooooooring. This can easily compete for the most boring game in the history of gaming.. 🥱🥱 How could you get the nerve to come out with this??

Was hesitant but loving it. I was hesitant to buy this strange game, but it has turned out to be one of the best mobile games I have played so far. Very weird concept, but it lends itself to mobile very well.

Love the games themes and concepts. This game was an absolute roller coaster. I went through so many emotions playing ranging from excited for the heartwarming moments to absolute despair through the hardships the shade (the main character) conveyed to us in the game. In this review I’ll just explain my thoughts on some neat mechanics in this game, these may contain spoilers and you’re better off experiencing them yourself but some of the ones that stand out are as follows: 1. The puzzles can be very punishing for the average person since they can require critical thinking and logic to find the correct solution and take a while to finish. The feeling of uncertainty while I wait really excites me and makes me want to check into the game, and when I do complete a puzzle correctly the feeling of overwhelming satisfaction just feels rewarding. I liked trying to interpret riddles a certain someone gives to us to try and get the right ending our shade deserves. 2. The amount of things you can do with the shade’s room is amazing. There’s some pretty intense foreshadowing to future events and answers to hidden solutions to puzzles in the themes and ideas conveyed in the books on the shade’s shelf. So I recommend giving those a read, even if you just skip to the ending to see the shade’s thoughts on some of them it can be helpful in obtaining certain secrets ;). I really like how I played random tunes I liked on the instrument and accidentally found the shade’s favourite song he wanted to play, that was satisfying watching the time pass so quickly doing that ;). The fire mechanics are nice and they’re really helpful late game especially when you think you’ve explored everything. There’s just so much more that can be found if you just expand the shade’s room with a mattock. 3. The fact that the shade communicates his feelings to us. A precise, calculated move on the developers part is how they get us to empathise with the shade’s despair and longing in moments of hardship, and his heartwarming moments of bliss when he finds something cool and shares it is great and really grabs my attention. I really like how there’s a small amount of foreshadowing involved in the shade’s dialogue and I appreciate how we need to listen to him to solve a certain puzzle in the late game. 4. The exploration in this game is great and the vast cavern the shade lives in is so fun to slowly wonder in at my own pace and lose myself in the beautiful art and I appreciate how there is no rush to get anywhere and if I want I can come back to any place I need afterwards. I like the fact that the game tells you if there are dead ends or if you need to wait for something to open. As a tip, this requires problem solving skills and if the shade doesn’t outright say it’s a dead end, it’s probably not a dead end, and probably a puzzle. In summary the themes conveyed and foreshadowing is excellent and I really liked playing this unique game, though it might not be for everyone I recommend giving it a try if you have a lot of patience and logical thinking in your skill set as I enjoyed the journey a lot.

Beautifully Haunting Game!. I’ve played this game on PC and am happy that on mobile the game still holds up! The audio is amazing and atmospheric, and the visuals are great. The story of the Shade is amazing and heartbreaking all at once. I have so much love for this game. When the game boots up it has to re-load where you left off, which can take a few seconds. The timer reliably is always counting down to the end of The Longing.
