Sing Whiz. It’s a very good app, and showed me my vocal range so I don’t sing sorts that aren’t for me.

I like it. I like because it doesn’t have ads and it’s free and they have really good warmups!

Yes, try this!. I have been looking for an app specifically geared towards newbies like myself to singing…I am 10 minutes in and already singing better!

This app is kinda bad. Basically this app is great when you want to know your vocal range, but the other qualities of it are just not that great. It told me that I am a contralto when I am a high alto and it only has a couple of the basic vocal ranges. Don’t download this app if you want to have some warmup exercises because it only has one if you don’t want to buy premium. There are pretty limited features and overall I say this app is good only for the tiktok trend. Don’t download if you are expecting a greatly rated song app.

pretty good. this is a very good app. the only issue is that sometimes it takes pretty long to load, and i have a new phone so idk the issue. GREAT APP THO!!!

Add more warmups that aren’t premium. I downloaded this app to help my singing get a little bit better but only 1 warmup is not premium and honestly some people just can’t get the premium because they are either under the age to get a job and get their own money (my case) or can’t afford it because of bills. The best solution for this is to add more warmups that are not premium Another thing is that there’s no alto option but I am not mad about that (it’s just a minor inconvenience for altos) But other than that it’s an okay app that just needs some tweaking

very good app — but needs to fix this.. hi! i am a soprano 1, and i have been for my whole life — my highest note is a C#6. however, because i have a very wide range my lowest note is an E3, and this makes the app register me as a contralto and give me very low exercises. in order to get the soprano exercises, it makes me say that my lowest note is higher than it is. is there a way that it can still label me as soprano but i can still have my accurate range? thank you. otherwise great exercises!

I like it but…. It’s a fun app! I just got it, and it’s nice to use (very user friendly!) but almost all of it is locked behind a paywall. I can do a total of 3 things :(

Good app. Fun app that tells you the highest and lowest notes you can sing. Matches to a voice type (somewhat accurately) and has a free vocal excercise. You have to pay for more features but it’s cute!

It’s good. So it is great because I am able to find my range and see what I am and there is no little to how many times you can re test. One problem though, it won’t tell you what your artist are that are in your range unless you pay for it. It also only gives you one free vocal thing before you have to pay for other lessons. You can do the first only so many times before you get bored.

Don’t bother buying this Sing Whiz if premium is something you not looking for.. You guys have a great app. What I don’t understand is why do you have every warm up in your app under premium. They let you take the vocal range test and do one warm up, how ever many times you want, and that’s it. Just in general, taking away every part of your app, and closing it off like how you do only, only serves to decrease the number of users that will want keep your app - not just buy it. For the people like me that can’t afford premium, you might as well not get this all. I’m not even exaggerating when I say but BASICALLY EVERY PART OF THIS APP IS UNUSABLE.

Good. Works well to try range, not a lot of free features but does inform you on your vocal range

Aight. When you start the app mesures the lowest and highest note you can sing. When your done you see a page that tells you your voice group im a "contralto". But then you can go to a page that says exercises. I do the first warmup that pops up. The notes are way out of my real vocal range. So when I finish I see these little crowns next to all the other exercises. There's a subscription you have to pay at that point I would just get a vocal teacher.

Eh. The app is generally good if you just want to find your range and somewhat voice type. I’m a mezzo-soprano and it labeled me as “mezzo soprano”, I can sing generally high and my comfortable scale is in the middle-higher part of my scale. Yet when I go to re-do my low note, I get one note lower and is labeled as “contralto” even though I can sing high comfortably, and I can’t sing lower notes as comfortably. And when I go to do my warm ups, it only gives me low notes. And you can only do 1-2 exercises without having to pay for premium. So if you download it just to find your range, great app, but can’t do much from there without premium.

Good app but doesn’t do a lot without premium features. All you can really do with this app is a few warm ups and see your vocal range but that’s it unless you get premium. I understand a lot of apps are like that but it’s not great.

Game Changer for vocalists. For just $15 dollars a year you get excersizes tailored to your vocal range?! INCLUDING RANGE EXTENSION? I cannot recommend this more for vocalists and new vocalists alike. This shows you visually if your notes are flat. Amazing app I would recommend it to anyone.

Vocal range. Thank you for this app. It helped me a lot to find my voice. I know it’s gonna take practice and I have to find more time to practice and trust me. I will go ahead and the confidence that this is the best thing for me and I like to sing karaoke, my songs and sell one. Thank you.

Amazing app. So I was looking all over the App Store for a app that could tell me my vocal range so I found this app. And now if my music teacher gives me a part she can put me in a part which my vocal range is used. I’ve had a nice experience with this app. I would recommend for anyone who wants to know how high or low they can sing or there vogal range, Awsome app!!!!!

Warm ups don’t match your range and everything is behind a paywall.. When I got the app my range came in at C3-A5 so the app decided I was a tenor. When I decided to do the only free warm up in the app it started me on a G2 which is well out of my range and when I did the warm up up the octave it was all marked as wrong. Also literally everything other than the incorrect warmup mentioned and some breathing exercises are locked behind a paywall. Do not recommend unless you only want to test your range

Very Disappointed. Yesterday I downloaded this and it was great got an hour or two. Today it’s going bonkers. I tried clearing my history snd retesting, but afterwards it wouldn't even record my voice. Then I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, and it still wouldn’t work. So I deleted it again and cancelled my subscription.

too much premium. Please read this before downloading. Almost everything costs premium to do and barley anything doesn’t cost premium. I wish this was removed.

amazing app! one thing tho-. I absolutely love this app! The exercises are super helpful! The only thing is- why do I need to pay for more exercises and to see things? I haven’t been able to find an app where I don’t need to pay- so I was very hopeful. Otherwise, this is a lovely app! Just the paying thing…

My first time to use this app, I like it already. I never knew this app exists , it’s my first time to use it. Originally I’m alto or contralto but because I have been singing a lot lately I noticed my voice has improved over the years and I can reach higher notes now. Now I know that my voice is Soprano. I will continue singing because singing is my stress relief and since I was a kid I have been singing and I guess it runs in my family, we just love to sing. Try this app, I’m sure you will like it too. Highly recommend. ❤️❤️❤️

wont actually track my voice??. For the very first step and holding that low note, i hold it but it doesn’t register at all.

Great app!. I started musical theatre recently and I was confused I was and or baritone and this helped me. The exercises are also great and they really help me

Out of range. I’m using the free version and I’m a contralto with the range of E3 to G5 and the first practice is almost a whole octave below my lowest note. It’s not adjustable and I cannot attempt the practice because of this fact.

Disappointing. I downloaded the app to see if I can improve my vocal range and I was getting into it, despite certain technical issues. I then chose to purchase the premium subscription, but a couple of months into buying the subscription the app update removed my premium subscription and I couldn’t get any access to premium features. I reached out to the developers about my concerns and they did not respond at all. No matter the amount of money, taking advantage of people’s earnings is shameful! Do better! Disappointed!

Learning tool. This is cool I just googled how to learn octaves and found this app. Turns out it’s a fun way to play with singing if you’re into it and can’t afford lessons i imagine.

Everything I Wanted. There are extra features that cost money, but it has what it claims. It's really easy to use, and I couldn't ask for any more.

Exercise pitch ranges are too limited. This app is good overall, with good exercises and pretty accurate pitch tracking. However, I have a major issue with. My lowest note in the app’s vocal range data is D#3, but every warm up it gives me starts on G2. That’s the lowest note I can actually produce, and a minor sixth lower than I can comfortably sing cold. It says that if the range is uncomfortable, I should retake the vocal range test, but that doesn’t really help. If I raise the lower limit of my voice on the test one note at a time until the warm-ups change their starting pitch, they jump up two octaves to start on G4. That’s even worse for me. I risk straining my voice with either range. That’s not okay for warming up. I can safely and comfortably start at G3, but the app won’t let me. It’s super frustrating because I like the exercises in the app, but I can’t use half of them until I’m thoroughly warmed up. I do use the warm-ups sometimes, but only after I’m already warmed up. If I could manually select which octave to sing, that would really improve my experience with this app. Also, on a much smaller note, for some reason, the app doesn’t seem to have an alto categorization. When I was changing the lower limit of my voice one semitone at a time, it went from contralto to mezzo-soprano to soprano. Not really a huge deal to my mind, but odd.

Solid app. Basic but has everything you need to start your singing journey. Practice everyday and you’ll see results. I paid for the yearly subscription. Would love to see these things in future updates: 1)streak counter 2)social integration (to connect with other people practicing) 3)Training videos So far so good! Thank you devs!

Not correctly judging range. As a singer, this app honestly made it hard to find out my true range. When singing an A1 (I’m a bass) it shows as an A2 because I don’t think it registers that low or at least it doesn’t show that on the scale..? If there could be a range added for the 1st octave for basses that can sing lower than a C that would be appreciated.

W app. I love to sing, and this app is great for helping me warm up my vocals, just run through some exercises quickly then sing to your hearts content.

Kinda Weird. It’s weird because it only bases your range on how low you can go, not how high. I’m a high soprano (female) but can sing pretty low so it says i’m a tenor… LOL

it’s meh. I just wish that it was more easy to use, and i didn’t have to pay for everything.

Meh. It’s fine I guess, but it said I’m a bass when I’m a tenor that can sing up to a D#5, just because I can also drop my voice lower. Range is not the only determiner for voice classification.

Ummm. Ok so it’s ok overall good for finding your range for sure but um my lowest not is D3 the absolute lowest I can actually comfortably sing, with the highest being F#7 it labeled me as Contralto, I’m more comfortable singing mezzo soprano but whatever, i tried doing the warm ups I did the practice for a second and I was pretty accurate, I go to actually sing it and it’s starting way lower starting a G2… which i can not sing so my accuracy is 28 :/ I do not like this ik it’s supposed to make you better but it’s not ok because i physically can’t sing it and probably won’t i wanted to use it to sing higher but I want to keep the same range on the app

Concise, yet effective!. Honestly, I was expecting a little gimmicky of an app, but I downloaded it anyways, and it did a great job doing what it was made for! Sometimes the simple stuff is what is effective, and in this case, there is no exception! Great job, would recommend to singers out there!

Pretty Good [as someone who can’t sing]. In all fairness, I’ve only just started using this app—but I like it so far. Simple, but not lacking. The first exercise glitched initially, trying to get me to sing the lowest range, which was just NOT happening, but I tested my range again and it got the memo the second time 👍. Also, on the pop-up that asks the user to leave a review, there’s a typo. Sorry. I’m a nerd I have to say it. It says “wont” instead if “won’t” with an apostrophe. “Wont” is an entirely different word. Sorry. Good app!

Trash. This app has a vocal range “test” that doesn’t give you any starting point. You’re just pulling notes out of thin air. And the “warmups” are all waaaaay too low and can’t even pick up a matched note. I’ve been singing for 20 years. Garbage.

not worth it unless you pay. Apart from figuring out your range and getting to do one exercise which is out of your range, this app is useless unless you pay for the premium. plus the voice types are sometimes wrong. i saw it a lot on tiktok and wanted to try it. but it’s a rip off, so, if you wnat vocal warm ups, your better off finding them on youtube

Helped me exercise my vocals. It rlly helped w my vocals and the exercises this provided actually improved my range

found it on tiktok. i found this app on tiktok and it is fun for the first few minutes but the more you work the more limited you are if you don’t buy the premium version. it would be nice if you could watch a set amount of ads to unlock some of the premium features like more exercises and warmups.

really?. i thought this app would help with my singing skills but there’s adds every 5 seconds, it’s saying the notes are wrong even though i’m singing it correctly, you have to have premium to do anything. i thought o was going to be better than what it is, do not get this app, unless your planning to pay for premium. it’s a waste of storage.

Voice type not accurate. I wanted to test this out for fun. I'm a soprano and I know my range. On this app, it said I sang C#3 for my lowest and E6 as my highest. It had me out my gender in (woman), yet it still told me I had the range of a tenor??

inaccurate 💔. this app is a good tool to find total range, but doesn't take into account a singer's tessitura or timbre when determining voice type, which can provide some wildly inaccurate results.

i’m too broke for this. i got the app to improve my singing and i literally can’t do anything accept for two beginner practices without paying. this is literally so stupid. if you want to get this app i suggest you should get a different one.

The exercises are limited. When you do the vocal range finder it’s accurate pitches, but when you do the ONLY EXERCISE avalible without pay, it’s broken. It also needs to unlock a little more exercises for free.

not a good judge of voice type. so i take the test and it tells me im a tenor (i’m female range D3-G6) and i try to do the warm up and it starts in the 2nd octave. i can’t hit that and cant do it an octave higher cause i got a 10% accuracy…WTF?!?

Bad review. You have to hold the note for like 10 seconds and not 2 second I swear I was almost out of breath! But it does help vocals.

This app is garbage.. I am a professional singer and music educator, and my sister sent me this app after blowing up on TikTok. Please don’t listen to this app for a vocal classification; the extremities of your range have so much less to do with your voice type than the pitches where your voice is strongest. After experimenting with the app, it seems to determine your vocal type based on the lowest note in your “range,” regardless of how high you sing. (Calling someone whose range is E3-E6 a contralto simply because they can sing that low is absurd without knowing the tessitura/weight of their voice. If their voice shines in the lower part of the voice, sure! But if the brilliant part of the voice is G4 and above, they’re probably not a contralto, even if their lowest note is technically E3. Most true contraltos can sing far lower than that, anyway.) If your voice is comfiest/strongest/clearest somewhere in the following ranges, these MIGHT be your voice type: Soprano: C4-C6 Mezzo soprano: G3-G5 Contralto: E3-E5 Tenor: C3-C5 Baritone: G2-G4 Bass: C2-C4 Notice there is a TON of overlap! And these are all 2-octave ranges; your particular range may be bigger or smaller! It’s which pitches feel MOST comfortable for you. Honestly, the best way to determine your type is to work with a professional, although the best singers don’t worry as much about “type” and just sing what feels/sounds best in their specific voice. There’s also so much more to the art of singing than just “expanding your range.” The challenge becomes making your full range strong, clear, and consistent between registers, as well as diction, phrasing, placement, intonation, BREATHING, and that’s not even mentioning anything about artistic interpretation or stage presence. Please don’t waste your time/money on this app. You can find free vocal exercise resources all over the internet that are comparable to what’s offered here. If you really want to get better, join a community singing group. You could even start taking private voice lessons if you want individualized feedback/exercises/repertoire. Don’t use this app.

over all a good app but listen to what i have to say. i can’t afford to pay a bunch of money each month i just want to learn how to sing but i have to pay just to get some lessons that aren’t face to face all is that i’m asking is for at least some things free. i’m very unhappy that i have to pay to learn the basics of how to sing or get better.
