Too much lag, and my iPod almost broke.. This game lags WAAAY too much. And if I play long enough, the game outright freezes. Not just the game, but my whole iPod freezes up and becomes unresponsive. When this happened the first time, I thought my iPod was about to break. You should be ashamed! I cannot play and have this happen to me every day. That is why I deleted this app after two days. Forget you people. I am giving you 1 star, and ONLY 1 star. [Willy Wonka reference] "Good day sir!" ⭐️

Great game, cheap ad removal.. This is not only a good game but hats off to the person who kept the ad removal cost reasonable. Otherwise I wouldn’t of bothered. There are way too many games that want far too much money on such a simple game just to remove the ads. My only complaint about this game was it took me a while to figure out exactly how the towers function. It would’ve been nice to have a better FAQ or something. I eventually figured it out. Maybe it’s because I didn’t play the first one.

Could be fun if there weren’t ads every 20 seconds. It’s kind of ridiculous that you’ll beat a level in 20 seconds because the AI just literally don’t do anything until you’re halfway to winning most of the time, and then you’ve just gotta sit through a 30 second ad before you can play again. Cool idea, would be fun if the AI worked and you didn’t have ads all the time.

Very bad game. This game is basically an ad farm. Levels are super easy, in merge mode there is a limited number of levels and that limit is so low you can’t get the last 3 characters of every specialty (attackers, archers, assassins). And then after every level you get an ad, plus while you’re playing it’s killing your battery. Worst game on the App Store that I’ve tried and it should be pulled because it’s not a “game”, it’s a cash grab.

Broken game. The less bad part is the game constantly freezes and then most of your levels progress is lost. Beat 37, on reset after freeze I’m on 10…. The worst part was where the game froze and locked my phone so it wouldn’t let a hard reset happen…. Don’t get this game if you value your phone.

Can be a fun game but too many ads. After every very short level there is a lengthy add. Spend more time watching adds then playing. Not worth it

Fun game but ad removal is a rip off. I do enjoy the game, but today I paid for ad removal and found it doesn’t really remove ads. It removes about half of them. Not really worth spending money on it.

Level 691 is impassable. It’s split in half by walls and none of the towers can connect to the other side. I played this game every day but now I genuinely can’t progress smh

Ads galore, ad bloatware that crash game, greedy developer. This game is loaded with ads, 10% game play 90% watching ads. How greedy is this piece of **** company! They load so much ads that will actually crash your game. Many other game of this type in the app store, avoid this one!

Could’ve been a real great game. The game has very heavy reliance on ads that freeze or crash the game. Somehow, the ads in this game have an icon on the lower right to allow you to report freezing ads or those that won’t let you exit, which is nice. But even with all that, I have been frustrated multiple times with the game just freezing on me. I play games to enjoy, and those that frustrate me ends up getting uninstalled, like this game.

Ads. My god, not only an ad after every game but most of the ads are the long ones that go on forever.

Buggy. For the last week I’ve been stuck on the same level, not because I can’t beat it but because every time I open the app it says I’m on level 115 no matter how many times I beat it or how many levels I’ve done after it.

Don’t play on an airplane. Absolutely harasses you if you turn the data off for the app. Doesn’t even have the decency to pause the game while it’s doing the countdown

Ads, crashes, freezes…..ads. Way to many ads, not only after every round but some are most inappropriate fore kids and they freeze or crash the game, making you have to log out wait a few minutes and log back in. Some ads keep repeating over and over and you have to manually close. Could be a cute time killer but not worth the hassle of the ads and the glitches that come with it.

Awful tactic. This game pulled a clever but awful move. It didn’t have any forced ads for the first few levels, then asked for a rating with a message of “it really helps us a lot”. I gave it a good rating the first time because I thought it was fun and didn’t have any forced ads. But nope. Right after rating I started getting forced ads after Every Single Level. Which can take less then a minute. Terrible trick.

Fun but…. I hope you like advertisements! After every match (some are very short) you get an advert then another if you want to double the reward for winning. Booooo

Ads ruin this game. I paid to remove the ads but they are so imbedded in the gameplay ( powers, bonuses after rounds, to get more coins ) that it ruins a fun game. Stop making ad machines and try making pure games. There are lots of examples out there. You can still make money and also make a great game. At least have a true remove ads pay wall. Give me a chance to get an extra power after a round instead of making me watch a horrible ad. I am totally done with ads and it’s time for game makers to move on to a new way to make money. Making great games!

Bad bad bad. This game is a total waste of time and money. It is a perfect example of everything bad in the gaming industry today. Don’t believe me just waist your time trying it. But don’t spend any money on getting rid of the adds because they never go away.

Love the game but all my ads went away even the opt in ones. Bought the no ads package to skip the ads in between stages but now I can’t even get the power ups from watching ads or the extra gold from watching ads. The optional opt in ads aren’t working anymore.

Horribly deceptive game. Ads even after paying to remove them.. I spent $3 to remove ads but the game is still littered with them. What a scam. Game would be zero stars if I could.

App Removal = Garbage. Only removes the penalty ad between missions. Doesn’t remove any of the ‘useful’ ads like other games would. Every mission, every button, every upgrade turns into an ad button if you aren’t careful. Horrible design. Sure must make a lot of ad money.

Area Conquer. Well I'm trying for zero stars. Developers responded to my last review of 2 stars but removed review and response before I could see what they said. They have a screenshot of the problem and now I cannot get to the page where I submitted the bug problem. Well the game gets challenging. I'm closing in on level 1875 and they are starting to stimulate my thinking. But still I highly recommend everyone NOT to download the game. My power is maxed out. Every horse race they put me in I dominate. There is nothing left of this game till they lift level cap. Now developers I once again have been honest in my review so I will tell you I have a screenshot of this review. If you remove it this time when you respond I will present it to GOOGLE PLAY and GAME CENTER to remove it for violating freedom of speech. Have a good day.

Can’t turn sound off. Even if you turn the sound off, your audio book won’t play while this app is running.

Waiting for more levels. Tops out at level 500. If you like the first 30 levels pay to remove the ads and you'll love the next 470. Hopefully they add more to the game.

Don’t be stupid. Massive impact on phone performance over time. They’re trying to take your private data. Highly invasive. Should be pulled from store. Just do a protocol analysis and what your private stuff flying away.

Waste of time. This game quickly becomes too difficult to continue without watching ads for power ups while already spamming ads at you after every round. Not worth your time or the data they collect on you.

Ads Ads and more Ads. Yes you can pay $3 to remove ads… but if you don’t want to what you have is an Ad machine. After EVERY SINGLE ROUND there is a 30 second ad. In order to beat some of the higher levels you must watch an ad for a buff. Sometimes you just watch 3-4 ads to beat a level. If you don’t watch an ad at the end of a match you lose out on coins which are needed to upgrade a tower. So guess what … more ads must be watched. At first the game is fun and engaging … but the ads quickly ruin it and I just deleted it off my device. Also they have a constant ad bar at the bottom of the screen. They could have been happy with that but decided to ruin the game by forcing 30 sec commercials for other games.

Went from 5 to 1 stars…. This new update just cheapened the game so much. The rewards system for the Merge Mode is absolutely atrocious. I’m on level 15 and already it costs almost one million gems to buy a soldier or archer whereas it started with just a hundred or so. And naturally there’s an option after every match win or lose to watch an ad that increases rewards, oh and also some dragon that flys across the screen that if you tap on, you get an option for get this…watch an ad for more gems! Ads, ads everywhere! It’s like the devs saw all the complaints for advertisements and decided to increase the number of possibilities to watch an ad. I wouldn’t mind doing so on occasion, but now it’s ridiculous. And speaking of the tower game, what is up with this ranking system? Am I honestly to believe there are hundreds of thousands of players, and instantly after the update, I’m ranked something like 18,000? Unbelievable. These fake ranking systems do nothing for rewarding the player, it’s actually very insulting. So it’s rather clear this developer has decided on predatory game mechanics and tactics that really only work on toddlers and pre-teens in order to drive up advertisement return and in game purchases. Lame, I’m done with this trash.

Ad overkill deleted immediately. I have plenty of games I play that are based around watching ads. This game got deleted immediately as the very first time I clicked to open it , I was already forced to watch an ad

Seriously. I love the game and it doesn’t throw ads at you to much but there is like a 89.9% chance it will freeze and I have to restart my game. PLEASE FIX IT😑

Power ups?. This game is fun. Would be 5 stars, except soooo many levels are started at a serious disadvantage regardless of strategy. Power ups are required to even get started, but power ups are rarely encountered…unless you watch a 30-60 second ad. I like that you can watch an ad to use a power up occasionally, but it’s so obvious the levels that are designed for ads. If power ups were more common, this wouldn’t be an issue. But gameplay is simple yet requires strategy. I’ll give 5 stars if this issue is fixed

Second review. First (detailed) review went into a black hole, so I’ll just say this: Prepare to spend far more time watching ads than playing the ridiculously easy levels (at least up to level 100, when I quit for lack of any challenge).

A problem. This game is really good in a week i reached 301 But this level is impossible bc i didn’t upgrade shield tower and there is no other way to get gold other than watching which if you can make a replay to the last round you played but half the rewards that would be great .good luck

Pretty Good. I have no complaints about this game but I just am not all the way satisfied. I have no explanation but I just feel like it could be a little better. I can’t find the words right now.

Overall fun game. Pros: game seems to be best of its kind. Very fun to play and have been able to get to 708 now without the aids you can get from watching adds. Just try different strategies if you happen to fail on one(or just be quicker). Cons: if you don’t pay you have to watch an add every level to get minimal gold at high level. You don’t have a choice but you can skip most after a few seconds Adds aren’t very appropriate Recently seems to be replaying levels but haven’t payed much attention until around level 680 Level difficulty doesn’t really increase as you go if you upgrade towers evenly Ranking system has no explanation and it says I’m number 1 after every level but doesn’t really make sense Note: merge mode you need to watch adds after every win or you will hit levels you cannot beat. Makes it very difficult to get up the gems to compete because losing gets you very few. Recommend: Having more towers on a level. Having multiple sections that can’t ever reach each other. More explanation on ranking with maybe a pvp mode.

Runs out of new levels. This game is super fun in both the battle mode and merge mode untill you run out of levels in the 200s then it’s just the same thing over and over and you become way over powered. I wish I could keep playing but there’s no challenge anymore.

Too many ads.. Ads after every level. I was having a lot of fun but once you get past the first few levels your flooded with ads.

The game kept glitching :(. I really enjoyed the game but once I played it for like 2 days it started glitching and making my phone glitch too.

Glitching and to many adds. Please guys it’s a cool game but sort out the glitching and lose some of the advertising videos. So it’s a little much when for every 10mins of game play you watch adds for almost half that time.

Have to watch ads. This game gets to the point (not that far in) where you can’t win without watching ads. There’s no way to win otherwise no matter what strategy is used.

What is there to not love about 5 second ads. Played so many different games over the years,every single one of them have the 30 second ads which really draw out the time and makes the game boring, but this one only has 5-10 second ads every time (unless you ran out of boosts). Other than the ads it is a genuinely great game and I’ve spent way too much time playing it 😂

Good game too glitchy. Great game, love the concept but OMG the glitches. It constantly freezes, all the time, every level. I’ll persist for a little longer but if you cannot fix the issue then it will be deleted.

Glitches. This game would be so much better if it didn’t glitch all the time. Takes you 5 minutes to get through 1 level. I could even handle the large amounts of adds that they play. But it’s so frustrating when you’re about to do a move and the game freezes.

Lame. Wasn’t to bad at first, then it got quite boring as there’s nothing special about this game. The constant ads after every quick level is kinda ridiculous too.

Ads are fine, but making the game unbeatable is lame.. You can’t actually beat some levels without watching ads, which is incredibly lazy or plain greedy development. There are hundreds of good games to play, go play one of those. This isn’t one of them.

Fake leader board. Fun game. The leader boards are fake though, you aren’t playing against other players. The game is designed to slowly drop you in the “rankings” when you aren’t playing. 1* off for this deceptive practice, but it’s worth playing.

Used to be favourite game. This used to be my favourite game but they made it too easy. The towers stop attacking you for no reason until you gain an advantage.

Never mind ad-haters, this game is great!. Nice improvement with the AI reacting differently in the level doubloons, more levels (which took me longer thn with the other game to relize there were!), and interesting strategy changes needed! 100% JUNK. Have had the game for just over a week. I have NEVER been able to have access to the battle help as I always get the “the ad is not ready”…..JUNK JUNK JUNK. If that’s the way you are trying to get people to spend money on your app, forget about it from this person. Deleted……..

Hours of fun but …….. The game is fun and provides hours of entertainment however the app freezes after some time and ads will often play but not close. To address this I have to close and reopen the app.

Lets make like Fred Durst and get this review 🎶Rolling-Rolling-Rolling🎶! Conquer the Tower 2: A Review at Sunset Pros: First, the price! You may have noticed that the app is free to download. If you’re like me, and I hope you are, your shouting the word “BARGAIN”!! Personally, I shouted the word “bargain” at my neighbors each afternoon until they downloaded the app for themselves. In this economy, we can’t pass up a deal like this. Second, the colors! Do you like the colors red, blue, yellow, green, purple, beige, white, grey, and various shades of those colors? Then hold to your hat, because this game has some of those. In my experience, having this amount of colors is usually reserved for paid apps. I recently learned the “app” is shorthand for “application”, which is a computer word. Third, and definitely not fourth, the towers! This game has THREE towers to master. When I saw that, I immediately realized it was more than two. You can strategize how to best use the towers and even upgrade them with the virtual coins you win from completing levels. For an extra challenge, don’t upgrade them! You can make it through any level with the starting towers. I don’t have friends to hang out with, and I’m already above level 300 without ever upgrading my towers. Fourth, reasonable in-app-purchases. Remember from before that “app” is short for application. A purchase is something you acquire for money or it’s equivalent. The game is pretty fun, so I recommend you throw a few bucks toward the developer like I did. It’s been pretty dry lately, so be a good customer and make it rain (dollars)! Cons I don’t like to be negative, so I won’t list anything here. Well, that’s all for now. Used to be good.. Before the update and rename I would have given this game four stars. Four, not five because I paid for “no ads” but there are ads still imbedded in the game… like when a tower is on the bottom edge and you accidentally bump a booster you don’t have or if you accidentally bump the post-game score wheel. Ultimately this is still an ad delivery system wrapped in a game. As for the game itself: Before it was rewritten and renamed I never once had lag, except perhaps when the game was first loading. Since the rewrite/rename I have not had a single round without lag. I suspect that something it is doing is using the network during game play and that is at least significantly increasing lag. Why the game would be using the network during game play I have no idea. Scoring makes no sense. I have done absolutely horrible and definitely made mistakes in a round and It’s given me max points. I’ve absolutely killed a round (done well) and it’s scored it at 26 points. The scoring simply makes no sense. Enemy towers break the rules. I have seen a strength 1 tower last until the end of the game while being assaulted by multiple chains of maxed towers then it suddenly dies when some other tower dies. If the towers are tied together that way then there needs to be some indication that they’re tied together. If these things were fixed I would give this game four stars. If the “accidental” ads were fixed (perhaps with a game pause and a pip-up asking if I wanted to watch an ad in exchange for X) as well then I would give it five stars. Btw the way “accidentally” activated ads turns “no ads” into an outright lie.
