Can’t perform basic service functions. BMS reset - nope Brake maintenance mode - nope OBD2 code reading on none fords - nope So this is not a good or cheap alternative for someone starting out as a tech. Getting a cheap aftermarket scanner has more functionality. It reads codes and programs keys on a limited amount of Ford vehicles. Probably a good tool for a parts counter person or a service advisor that wants to program a key or check codes instead of giving to a tech. Oh and I tried to scan codes on a Toyota and it couldn’t do that either.

Worst application ever.. This app fails to connect, it fails to function. Therefore this faux app is junk to the consumer.

Still needs work. I think the device is awesome but the app needs work. It won’t let me stay signed in. It will crash when trying to hook up to the car. Like I said it is awesome just needs a few kinks worked out.

Very convenient but needs improvements. So far I like it, wish it could do more…it is a lot faster than IDS/FDRS also much more convenient than carrying a laptop and bunch of cords 500ft out into the parking lot for a no crank issue or something. Had some log in issues for awhile would either crash or just take forever. Was going to give 3 stars but doing 4 seeing as it’s a new product and will probably be getting improvements. Hopefully one of the updates fixes the log in issues, also heard from an FSE they are likely going to be adding PATS programming in the near future. Definitely worth the $300 for the VCM lite even with its limited functions.

Ford Diag now/ VCM Lite. So I bought the VCM Lite as a cheaper route than purchasing IDS license. Also VCM3’s are on back order. Reading through the rotunda site seemed like this was a powerful little tool. Which it is. However, what they do not tell you is, there is a model year restriction. I have an 09 F-250 that I’m needing to diag. The app states that no data is available for this model year. Connect to a 10 model, and bam it works just fine. Tried tricking the system by inputting the 2010 VIN in for the 09 truck. It automatically reads the 09 VIN, and will not let you proceed. I’ve talked with rotunda about the issue. They state that there is no model year restriction, but advise me that they do get calls everyday for the same concern. Long story short, $540 for the VCM Lite, and $145 subscription for their service, and this thing doesn’t work on all model years. So I’m out almost $700 for something that’s not going to fully benefit me. I hope this helps someone before they decide to make the same mistake that I did. I did my research before purchasing, but never found any model year restrictions. Even Ford can’t determine there are. Hopefully they will patch in an update to take care of this concern. The product does work flawlessly on anything 2010, and newer.

Feedback. Please implement a notification feature that sends a alert to your phone when the vcm lite is disconnected. This will help prevent vcm lites from being forgotten when installed in the vehicle.

Pretty good…. I wish it had more features or the capability to connect to FDRS via laptop for additional functionality, like module updates, pats, etc. I’m guessing by the ports on the back of the device, it’s able to be plugged into a laptop for a wired connection.

A time saver. Decent app and device that is easy to use and connects quickly. I bought it for parking lot code reading/clearing, and to monitor PIDs on test drives, when our IDS is tied up. Pros: Quick Convenient Simple to use Provides a good level of functionality such as reading/clearing codes, CMDTC for various modules, datalogger, ODDTC self testing Cons: Missing some basic PIDs - CKP on a few vehicles Can’t record datalogger Allows phone to go to sleep while on a test drive Could use some functions like relative compression, Neutral Profile Correction, Misfire Monitoring, and Cylinder Contribution

Great feature but you can’t scan the vin. Feature shows that it has a scan tool to scan the vin# but it does not work. You have to manually enter the 17 digit Vin every time you use the tool.
