WiZ Connected Comments & Reviews 2026
One big issue with scheduled automations. The app is ok but one major and absolutely maddening thing - if you set up a scheduled automation, and someone (like a guest at your house) turns off the light with the light switch, there is no way to tell the light to “resume” the automation. Example: we use this for our porch light. We set up a schedule for it to turn on in evening, off in the early morning. It works wonderfully if nobody ever touches the light switch, but of course sometimes overnight guest will turn off the light using the physical wall switch. If I go turn the light back on using the switch, I am able to control the light with the app (like expected) BUT there is no way through this stupid app to tell the light bulb to “resume” the schedule I have set up. The interface shows the schedule is still active, it will show that the light is associated with the schedule but it will not look at the current time of day, see what state (on or off) the light is suppose to be in and do that. It just stays on forever. It will not get back on schedule. So if I go flip the physical switch back “on” at 8AM the light should look at the schedule, ask “should I be on or off right now based on the schedule I’m running?” and then do that. Not just turn on and stay on forever, totally ignoring the schedule the app says I’m “running” It should be a very easy “button” for you to click (or heck just automatically do it!) but it doesn’t. So now we have a smart light, and this app, only to go and turn on/off our porch light with a physical wall switch. Nice. :-(
Nothing working. I have been a wiz user for several years. It’s had its share of ups and downs, but in the past year or so it was finally stable. The past several months have been the worst ever. “Wiz token” issues preventing Apple automations or control of lights from a HomePod when the phone is locked. And lights randomly becoming non responsive. Today it reached its apex/nadir: almost all of my 20+ lights stopped responding, and become greyed out in the wiz app, occasionally turning back on briefly only to grey out again. Issues persist after router reboot and turning lights on or off. If you considering wiz lights, now is not the time to buy. I have no faith that the issues are being worked out urgently enough or that there won’t be a repeat several months in the future. All in all a total disaster for an ecosystem that advertises frictionless control of your lights. I think I have spent more days troubleshooting wiz connectivity than I have any other product. When it’s good it’s great, but this is just ridiculous.
Take your time to learn the app. It’s the best out there!. Let me start by saying I am a certified programmer of Lutron, Crestron, C4, and all the top integration programs. I also work with app development, Linux, and Ubuntu. So I’m pretty versed in the world of lighting and integration apps. I’ve been a LONG time user of Hue, who are the pioneers of the color changing RGB. Well, actually Kolor Kinetics was until Hue bought them. In any event I’ve had Hue products still going strong for over 10 years. Problem is outfitting your house with Hue will set you back a fortune, and Hue is late getting out the newest stuff because they want to make sure the public is getting a perfect product. Anyways that’s how I stumbled on Wiz. The old app was horrific. So bad I bought 2 Downlights and never opened it again. One day I noticed the similarity between a Hue bulb and a Wiz, so I bought a bunch, saw the new app, and I was blown away. Of course I know it’s the same company but that’s the point. This IS Hue. It’s the baby brother. They won’t tell you that because they’ll lose money but this is them. The Hue app is incredible and this is not far behind. There’s bugs, but I see them get worked out on updates. What’s incredible is it works with everything including SmartThings and Home Assistant. My advice would be buy up all the Wiz stuff you can while it’s affordable. And take your time to learn the app. The only thing that drives me crazy is no music sync. But then that’s when you have to buy Hue I guess.
Not user-friendly. I have never used any product in my life that was so un user friendly why is the set up process so difficult for a lightbulb? it refuses to connect every single time and it needs so much user information The smart app seems like a nice user feature, but they should also include a remote in the box if they know that their app is not going to work and why does it have to connect to 2.4 GHz this is not 2014 the nationwide standard is 5 GHz now please even a 14-year-old can design a better app wiz do better and actually put in effort I don’t even have a high school education and I know how to design a better app it looks as if there was only about an hour put into this app until they consider is complete for the public this app feels like it was designed by a 10-year-old with down syndrome just let us use our expensive lightbulbs with the advertise features without requiring a significant amount of user data and a tedious, set up process. It’s so basic and easy to let us do that this company is in serious need of a new design team
Still a difficult task for Wiz team to make a great app.. In the last 3 to 4 years since this app came out, I already installed it and deleted it four times. You just get annoyed by the nonsense interface that is built in this app. It seems like the developers have a really difficult time putting together a, great and useful app. Where are the delete controls, now, to delete color themes for the rooms? Where have they been located within the app? Unreal, it has been four years, probably, and this app is still junk. Not to mention, that this app will make your bulbs defunct because the app/servers with Wiz, have been probably hacked. If you end up questioning if bulbs are having problems, disconnect from your account and delete the app, to troubleshoot the issue. I had replaced good bulbs, thinking that were having issues, instead it was the app that was making the bulbs flicker for no reason, at whatever hours, and whenever. This is the reality with dealing with these Wiz people for about four years, now.
Long Term User: Run For The Hills. I have been a loyal Wiz user since the early days of their smart lighting products, but over the years I’ve watched the service degrade significantly. What was once a promising and reliable system has now become plagued with nonstop interruptions, glitches, connectivity failures, and server-related issues. On a daily basis, I waste far too much time troubleshooting just to turn a light on or off—a basic function that should be seamless. Integrations and compatibility that used to be strengths have steadily eroded, leaving me with an unreliable and frustrating experience. When it becomes financially feasible, I will be replacing every single Wiz product in my home with more dependable, brand-name alternatives. Wiz has unfortunately gone from convenience to constant headache, and I cannot emphasize enough that anyone considering Wiz products and its respective application should run for the hills. Don’t waste your time or money—all coming from someone who rarely feels inclined to leave reviews.
The Old Version Was so Much Better. I’ve had the old version of wiz for roughly 3-4 years. It’s always been user friendly and super simple. I come home and open my app and I can change scenes or themes, or I could even make it a solid color. Everything was perfect until 3-4 days ago when my app started saying there was no connection and the light was unavailable. Well it turns out that there was a new app, so I followed the instructions and I downloaded the app and transferred everything over. I began the initial pairing process and followed the instructions. After numerous attempts I was FINALLY able to make the light bulb pulse so that I could pair it with the new app. Once I got the bulb to pulse the app did its thing and tried to pair but to no avail. I attempted to pair the bulb 5 separate times for it to say I was not connected to the internet and that my device was out of range. I find that severely frustrating as I spent roughly 30-45 minutes trying to pair it whilst sitting less than a foot away from the bulb itself. As for the internet connection, the app wanted me to connect to the bulbs “wifi” and it told me to stay connected even if it showed that I had no connection. It’s just funny to me that you can follow all the instructions to a t, and it still not work. As per the other reviews I’m obviously not the only person experiencing these difficulties, horrible app and an un needed change. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” If possible I’d give this new app a -100/5 stars.
Don’t Be Aftaid. I was very skeptical about downloading this app after seeing the assortment of terrible reviews foe this app. I reluctantly decided to make the switch today and…..it was a flawless transition! I don’t miss the old app already. I don’t think anything was wrong with the old app but this one is just better. My light seen much more responsive and there is way more functionality in this new app. It has features I didn’t even realize I was lacking in the old app. Also (ppl who have lots of bulbs) it transferred all of my settings and rooms from the old app without me having to reconnect a single light bulb (I have 10 by the way). I if you are worried about this, just make sure you have a log in created on the V1 app and then use the same credentials on the V2 app. I would do this before ever downloading and/or opening the V2 app. In a nutshell I’m excited, in my case, none of the bad reviews were true. I don’t have to invest in another smart light ecosystem and I have a lot more functionality in this new app making things work faster and smoother. Oh and lastly, this app is not difficult to navigate at all. All it takes is a little common sense and exploration.
Useless. Where do you want the review to begin-first of all your going to force people onto an app that is nothing but problems. It’s a pain to link multiple phones to the app to control a house. Let’s now move on to the biggest issues-the app is telling me lights are on that are off and has us constantly checking those rooms. Or it won’t connect to lights that are on to turn off. I should have to worry if the light in my toddler’s bedroom is on yet I do because the app is faulty. Other issues is it won’t turn off our lights or connect to the lights in my bedroom. I have to keep resetting the app to get it to connect. As I read reviews I see I am not the only one with these issues yet you act like it’s user error when it’s clearly not. Why release an app and give people to use it when it isn’t even working half the time. FIX IT then have people use it. It’s obvious it NEVER got tested before it was rolled out onto users. And the biggest questions-why fix something that’s NOT broken and working great?
Horrible app. I’ve been using these bulbs for well over a year now. We had some issues with the old app and they just created the V2 app but I decided to go with the original app based on all the reviews. It wasn’t smooth on the old app like everyone else says. I was having so many issue that I decided at the beginning of this year to switch. It was pretty spotty to start but then after complaining a couple times, it worked all the time with no issues for a few months. I was enjoying it and was surprised. Well, over the last month or two, this app has been complete garbage. It just randomly stops working and will only connect to one room and only one or two of the three bulbs all linked together. And it stays like that for a day or two. I have to start using the lights the way I used to with the light switch. Which defeats the reason for having these bulbs. I even spent four or five hours with customer support in the app and they never got it working. I’m with everyone else and done with these things. They would have to pay me to use these bulbs from here on out and even then I wouldn’t use this app, I would just treat them like a regular light bulb.
Junk - nothing but issues - always!!. Honestly, the lights are great - when they work. The app is horrible. My lights always magically aren’t connected, and the only way to control them is to completely reinstall the lights like I’ve never owned them. I don’t know what happened in the past few months - but it’s been a complete nightmare whatever was done behind the scenes. I would suggest any other brand where people have no issues controlling their smart lights from their app - the lights are a dime a dozen - nothing special from others. If you can’t get your lights to consistently work with the app, the app is probably more important to customer satisfaction. I’ve gotten to the point where I just let them only work with the schedule I have set up - cause magically that works just fine, but controlling them manually now is just a gigantic hassle. I will never buy this brand again due to the horrible app - it’s that simple.
Awful. New App Ruins User Experience. I can’t believe this is “2.0”… the old app was so easy to use. This new version is significantly less user friendly— basically a downgrade of the whole product line (which is crazy considering that the bulbs have only gotten more expensive). Fewer customization options, fewer accessible colors, and most annoyingly, when I automate a room there’s no way to choose which lights will participate or to what degree. What’s the point of having scenes if I can’t schedule them (outside of Circadian Rhythm, which is a useless feature for anyone who doesn’t have the exact same schedule every day). I have had hue and wiz bulbs in every room in my home for years. I use them to assist with my adhd time blindness which has been an enormous help. This app is so clunky that I actually find it eating up my time rather than helping me best utilize it. I have now redownloaded the “legacy” app to find that all of my schedules and other information have been deleted, so I will now have to re-do all of my automation by hand. Worth it to be able to delete this terrible new version. Ex: In the past I was able to have just my bedside lamps participate in the wake up phase, but with the new version every light in the room has to do the same thing. Cue horrifying bright light jarring me awake from my overhead light… so now I can’t use these lights as an alarm clock/time cue. That was the whole point of buying them in the first place.
Clunkier and Slower to Use. I downloaded this version of the WiZ app because the reviews got better. However, I found that this app in general is clunkier. The widget doesn't work at all compared to the other app. The library section feels very pointless. I don't like that the home section makes me have to tap into the room I want to change each individual light. I only have two smart lightbulbs and they're both in the same room. I also wish I could quickly change the speed of the current scene of the lights without having to adjust each bulb individually or clicking the "control" feature. It was much faster and easier to do in the previous app. Clicking the "schedule" area in the widget also bugs out the app by opening the automation section and not letting me click to any other part of the app without it going back to the automation section. Some suggestions, the "Discover" and "Library" tabs should be combined. You would make it so that users can create their own dynamic light settings to fade between chosen colors, like RGB gaming devices do.
I Wish I Hadn’t Updated. The V2 app makes the confusing parts of the V1 app even more confusing. I walk into my room often with the lights off and a completely unresponsive light switch. Schedules and rhythms used to coexist fairly well. Now they break each other constantly, especially if you use the “bedtime” mode which fades to black. I empathize that it’s a nightmare trying to organize 3 different timelines but the failure of this application is both in offering 3 ways to animate color and not showing them together one one timeline nor catching any conflicts between them. Also, if I flip the light switch off and on a few times, I expect WizClick to override whatever timeline is in place. Instead I get darkness and have to find my phone to open the app. It’s stupid. Main reason I upgraded was v1 didn’t have dark mode which.. for an app I half the time had to use in a dark room was blinding. Next time y’all do a redesign, may I suggest amber on black please?
I think they did it. I appreciated the original app; however, I was disappointed, but the update from Wiz was worthwhile, as they came through with great software improvements. I was always wondering why we were only halfway there and why they hadn’t strengthened their updates and connections with other apps like Alexa, etc. I felt this way because the Phillips hub app was flawlessly working, both with other apps and within its own tools. I figured since we were already halfway there with Wiz, they would find a way to figure it out early. Although they didn’t do it in my timing, they were cooking, and they delivered. I’m grateful. Good job! I will even go as far as saying this is much better choice than the Phillips hub because of its cost-effectiveness and how fluid the apps work with the device!
Affordable smart bulbs. I have used Wiz lights for several years now. I’ve never had one die, I’ve had some minor issues with connectivity at times and some issues with the lights not storing the settings like returning to previous setting after power failure. In recent months I have had more issues with the Wiz app giving errors when attempting to do basic tasks like turn off lights. Almost every action I do gives an error. Abut half the time the task still happens but I still get an error. I have a wiz remote that will not delete or change set lights it controls. So that has basically been deemed useless. I have grown to be hesitant to change or add anything to my home in fear that it may effect other devices that continue to work in my home. I also really liked the “away” feature in the last version of the app. Gave me peace of mind that I could set my lights so it looked like I was home when I was not. I also would love to see the wiz remotes be more useable as a whole house device maybe storing scenes from rooms on the numbers instead of limited to multiple scenes for 1 room. In general a remote would be used to change between two scenes or simply on and off. If I want more complex control, I would open up the app. The remote should be usable for more.
V2 needs help. Takes forever for the app to recognize that the bulbs are on/receiving power. & if I turn the light off via the app & wake up for work I find myself unable to turn the light on in a reasonable time to get ready for work in the morning. & it’s impossible to bypass the app if I turn the light off via the app no matter how many times I turn the switch on/ off. Getting dressed & brushing my teeth in the dark gets old. I’d prefer to use the original app it was more responsive & had the ability to recognize that the switch is on. It’s NOT a security system so I don’t see why there’s not a way to flip the switch in a way to just have a basic lighting function take effect without having to wait for the app to respond/establish a connection? Such as the functionality of (when the in the app the light is “on” & the app recognizes that, you flip the switch On/Off/On you can set it to change two different light settings) maybe throw in some kind of bypass for that in the next update as well as establish a better & quicker response time for the app to recognize that the bulb is receiving power.
Frustrated, left in the dark!. I am a very tech savvy guy. This new version of the smart app v2 isn’t so smart and put this from a 4 to 5 star to a none or 1. I am an IOS user and I used version 1.0 for over a year with no issues. Wiz lights were an affordable solution for a smart home compared to the Hue lights or other's. Wiz worked well with my Alexa devices with the 1.0 app. Since I installed the update, which I regret it no longer works with Alexa and has me in a endless loop of trying to integrate. None of my lights appear in the Alexa app to be grouped and the link button has me in an endless annoying cycle. I have updated my IOS to 17 and tried beta 17, which didn’t help, I deleted the updated version of Wiz ver 2 and reinstalled it, I deleted and reinstalled the Alexa app, I rolled back to the old version of Wiz, which no longer works. If you can continue to run the old version of Wiz DO NOT update until these issues are resolved. The only way I can turn on or off lights is with a switch or via the app. My kids are disabled and can not access a wall switch and now they can not turn on the lights with Alexa. I keep my house accessible for thier needs, but that hasn’t been the case for over a week now. I logged a lot of time into this and seriously regret upgrading. I should had read the reviews posted before taking the plunge. Also I enabled timers that are not working as well, which was never an issue before. Urgently need a resolve soon or I won’t lol have to purchase bulbs and replace all of these.
What on earth. I truly do not understand how you could make an app more user un-friendly. Compared to any other smart bulb app this is cumbersome and confusing and keeps glitching and turning my lights on and off. The original app is still much more responsive and easier to get to the adjustments for the bulbs but now it just pops up this stupid window every time I try to use it. THIS APP HAS BEEN UNUSABLE FOR ME FOR YEARS NOW so it’s not like I can even use this version. Take off the stupid pop up on the legacy version for real. I still don’t see any option to create your own dynamic scenes which almost any other smart bulb app lets you do. Absolutely bonkers to release a new app that makes you hit like 3-4 buttons just to adjust a bulb when original app was only one tap to adjust bulbs. This has fully convinced me to never purchase any wiz devices ever again. Can’t even make custom presets and the current app version has never worked correctly and even if it did it would be a downgrade from the previous app and every other smart bulb app. Just trying to use this version instead of legacy right now my light is strobing uncontrollably. Ridiculous.
MUCH BETTER!!!. My previous review complained about how the new app was focused on selling products and bombarding us with ads. The user experience was terrible for actually controlling your smart lights. I desperately clung to the v1 app as long as I could to avoid using this app. I was worried I would have to ditch WiZ completely and switch to a different lighting system. I have to say THANK YOU to WiZ for listening to your customers. The v2 app is MUCH better now than it was the last time I tried it out. I’m so glad I can just open the app and control my lights without getting ads. I’m a happy customer again and will continue to buy your products and tell friends and family to buy them as well. Thank you!!! I have one suggestion which is to make it easier to apply changes to all lights in a room. Or bulk apply to multiple lights. It’s a little tedious currently to update 6 lights in the same room.
Design excludes basic functionality.. You first add lights to a room. Within that room, lights can be grouped. You cannot save group settings, you cannot save room settings. Instead, you must create something else: a scene. Scenes, however, can only be a room state. There is no ability to configure everything the way that you want it, and save it as a recallable state. This would be sufferable if this next feature made up for it: “Quick Actions”. When creating a quick action, you first name it, then you can either choose ONE scene(room), or: first you choose a color, then you choose the lights to which that color is applied. You are allowed to have 3 folders of quick actions, and each folder can contain only 6 quick actions. So it isn’t even as if you could make up for this design flaw by just adding as many quick actions as it takes because they cap you at 18 total, and if you assign a quick action to a scene, it’s redundant 3x because one quick action is a way to control one scene which is one room. In a home full of lots of colorful lights, this makes it not hard, but impossible to get to anything more convenient than individual bulb control. The way that Wiz is designed to be setup, my only option is to painstakingly control each bulb individually. This is like a watch that can’t tell time. The app should honor the investment of those who have chosen to depend upon Wiz. It does not.
Keeps Getting Worse. Since the 1.16.7 update two days ago the app has lost the on/off toggle for all my lights. The original app worked perfectly perfectly but after pushing everyone onto this new app ever update has made it worse. Intimately the app was laggy and never seemed to be in sync with what position my lights were actually in. I would have to restart it multiple times before it would sync. This never improved and the next updates brought a permanent error message anytime I tried to adjust light. Now the on/pff toggle is just gone. I guess my bulbs are a year or two old at this point and it seems like this company stopped caring about old product to pursue remotes for fans. I guess if I had invested in a name brand it might have cost more up front but save me in the long run because they seem to maintain standards of backwards compatibility that this company doesn’t care about or old customers. So love you new ceiling fan why you can because the fancy remote controls will be broken in 6mo when this company goes after it’s next product line and forgets about the existing users.
Two Weeks Use. The app is shiny and new, has a fancy new UI, and it really wants you to like using it. It’s stable, doesn’t crash, and for some reason connects to the lights far easier than the original app ever did… like when you turn on a light switch the app recognizes the light just came on immediately instead of needing to close then open the app again. All these improvements however are built upon the sacrificing of detailed settings available in the original app. Why they couldn’t just give the original app a fresh coat of pain at the Home Screen and simply leave all the macro settings is beyond me. After a couple of weeks of use I just reverted back to the original app. Despite its age it allows for far better detailed control of the lights despite its slow nature. That the new app does not have all the detailed controls that the original offers is sad since it does perform so very well.
Lights loose their connection to the app constantly. Absolute trash! Choosing Wiz lighting was an awful decision. Everytime I open the app, there’s a new problem connecting AT LEAST one of my lights. I would say overall, 25% of my lights connect to the app at any given moment. Only about 30% of the time am I able to use Alexa, 10% of the time I can use Apple home; and that’s when the lights are showing they are connected to the Wiz app. The app itself is also trash. The interface is ugly, the preselected color scenes and hues are atrocious (they had to have been created by AI because to the human eye they are awful colors), plus all of the connection issues. I’ll often times make a successful connection from the light to the app, for it only loose its connection moments later but after closing the app and re-opening the app the connection to the light will be restored, meaning the app itself is losing connection. Bottom-line, Wiz is overpriced garbage that only exist because they have the $$ to get premium shelf-space at Home Depot. Shame on Home Depot for even doing business with wiz
So many to fix. App Frustrations The app experience has been underwhelming for me. It feels clunky and unpolished, and there’s often a lag when I try to make changes. It’s not the most intuitive app I’ve used, which makes it frustrating when I’m trying to adjust settings quickly. Setup Woes Connecting the bulbs to my Wi-Fi was far from straightforward. The fact that the system only works on 2.4GHz networks caused issues with my dual-band router. I had to dig into my router settings and temporarily disable the 5GHz band just to get the bulbs connected. For someone who isn’t super tech-savvy, this would be a nightmare. Wi-Fi Dependency I didn’t realize how much the system relies on a strong, stable Wi-Fi connection. In a home with several connected devices, the bulbs sometimes struggle to stay connected. Unlike systems with a hub, which can help distribute traffic, these bulbs are completely reliant on my router. Constant Disconnects This is by far the most annoying part of the system for me. The bulbs occasionally disconnect for no apparent reason, and the only way to fix them is to manually turn them off and on multiple times to reset. It’s especially frustrating if the bulbs are in hard-to-reach places, like ceiling fixtures. This kind of manual intervention defeats the purpose of having a “smart” lighting system in the first place. Rating: 2.5/5 Affordable, but the frustrations outweigh the convenience for me.
Don’t waste your $$$. UPDATE: Not only does the app not work, but support is nonexistent. You can’t just tell every individual person who is having issues with the app - which appears to be everyone who has used it - to contact support individually. It is completely apparent that the app is total crappola and these problems are not cases of user error or faulty home WiFi setups. When I asked who whom I could contact about reimbursement for my now unusable bulbs, I was completely ignored. Someone should start a class action lawsuit against the manufacturer for this. The original wiz app had its problems, but it worked well enough that I was satisfied with my purchase of the accompanying smart bulb. Satisfied enough that I replaced numerous bulbs throughout my home with them. Slowly but surely the apps glitches got worse. Then they come out with a new app that not only didn’t fix the glitches, but was even less user-friendly than the original. 90 percent of the time the lights are marked as “offline” in the app. 10 percent of the time I’m randomly able to control a random assortment (but never all) of the lights. I feel completely swindled, but Philips clearly has no interest in customer satisfaction, so I’ll just toss these now useless bulbs and take the L.
Worst app ever. This app is honestly the worst I’ve ever used. Unfortunately that means the lightbulbs I bought are now just overpriced, regular bulbs because they don’t work as smart bulbs. The major problem is that the app doesn’t work properly. I tried to schedule my lights to come on and shut off at a certain time but it doesn’t work. Several fixes later and it still doesn’t work. The app is also very confusing and needlessly complicated. I was asked to agree to a user agreement, privacy policy, sign up for a membership, sync the lights, set a schedule, etc... and then it just didn’t work. The live chat support is also unhelpful. Their response time is slow and they weren’t able to fix the problem. They will just waste your time and then act like it’s your fault that it doesn’t work. They won’t even answer simple, yes-no questions. For the record, I’m pretty tech savvy. My Wi-Fi is working fine. I’m using an iPhone 14. I know how to screw in a lightbulb, and I know how to use a smartphone. The app is trash.
Worked perfectly until switching to new app. I’ve been using these light bulbs for the last few years- all the lights in my house have been switched to WiZ at this point. I never had a single issue with the original app, I tried to put off downloading the V2 because of all of the terrible reviews. When I got the notification that the original app would no longer be supported I finally switched. It worked fine for the first couple weeks, but now my lights do not respond to the app whatsoever. I cannot pair the lightbulbs- even thought they all worked seamlessly before switching. When I try to do ANYTHING in the app nothing happens and I just get an “unexpected error” notification. I feel like I’ve tried every angle to get these to work again. Physically removing the bulb from the socket and trying to pair it again, restarting my WiFi, NEW WiFi, a WiFi booster, etc It’s especially frustrating because over the last 3 years I’ve replaced every bulb in my house with these. I really liked these, the convenience of being able to turn the lights off after I leave the house, and the ability to adjust the brightness and color is great. After reading others reviews it seems like there isn’t anything that can be done by the developers. I’m disappointed.
Works for me so far. I felt compelled to review because I held onto the old app for a long time and avoided switching over because of the reviews. So far I haven’t had any issues with the new app that everyone else seems to have. I didn’t migrate the data from the old app I just signed into the new app and all the information loaded into it. I kept the old app for a week to make sure I didn’t have any problems and so far nothing. I do like the redesign of the app and seems very intuitive. Only have one issue with a light not coming on with the schedule but that was happening with the old app so possibly could be just the bulb itself. Your mileage may vary but so far it works smoothly and efficiently. If it starts to act up I will revise this review.
Disappointed. I was initially captivated by Wiz Lights, drawn in by the promise of a harmonious, connected home. Eagerly, I invested in a full suite of bulbs, anticipating a seamless integration. However, my experience has been tarnished by persistent crashes that necessitate a full system reset far too often. For a product positioned at a premium, the expectation is reliability, which, regrettably, has not been met. The Wi-Fi connection, a critical component for smart lights, has proven to be disappointingly unstable. While I acknowledge that no technology is perfect, the challenges in rectifying these issues are disproportionate to the premium price tag these lights command. When operational, the brilliance of Wiz Lights is undeniable, yet the shadow of unreliability looms large, casting doubt on the product’s completeness. Moreover, the color modes offered lack the dynamism and innovation one would expect. The current selection feels uninspired, with many modes appearing indistinguishable from one another. This is particularly disheartening given the potential for such a feature to elevate the ambiance of any space. In conclusion, while Wiz Lights shine bright when they function as intended, the overall user experience is dimmed by technical difficulties and a lack of creative features. It is my hope that future updates will address these shortcomings, fulfilling the promise of a premium smart lighting experience.
Worked well, now getting an error message. I bought a Philips light bulb because with this app, I could set a time along with a brightness. This means, I can bring up the light slowly in the morning. It worked well until recently. Now, I get: Unknown issue occurred Something went wrong please try again later. The bulb still works according to the schedule I set up. I restarted the app and my iPhone. Same problem. I tried the help through the app. After getting past the chat bot, I waited more than 10 minutes without a reply. When I got a response, I was asked to provide info, that gave me the unknown issue error. After waiting again, I gave up. I thought about deleting the app and starting all over, but decided not to. I have something that works somewhat (I cannot turn the light on or off from my phone or change the schedule , but the schedule still works). I don’t want to reinstall only to find out it it is totally useless. I have the latest version. I will look for another product. Based on my experience, don’t use this app.
Success!. Like others, I was a little hesitant to download the new app after some of the really raunchy reviews out there. But I realize time was running out and I had no choice so I took a deep breath and made the plunge. Everything works so well. And has so many new features that are really cool and really gonna make using the WiZ lights easier. I should say that I had my app on an Apple device and I use my Apple login. Maybe that makes a difference and makes the transition easier. I also realized that several years back when my father started using the lights (we had a shared Apple family account) there was an original set up that only had one light - our first WiZ lightbulb. But then there was a second account they had all the lights and all the configurations. I accidentally loaded the old account first and seeing only one light almost had a stroke, thinking all the other reviews were right. But then, after some thought and taking a few breaths, I signed out and resigned back in using the other account and everything appeared as it should and worked great. So maybe some of these negative reviews. The individuals have multiple accounts and they accidentally tapping into an old account. Just a thought. But so far the experience has been great and everything is working very well.
Tired of the owner lockout. After switching from the original WiZ app to V2, we have had nothing but issues. Most annoyingly is that I am the primary Owner. I then go through the steps to create a profile for my wife, share it with her and then everything is good for 2-4 days. Then when I go into the app to turn on or off lights, all my rooms I have setup(which the setup process is impossible at time) then grey out and it tells me that the owner has changed my accessibility or whatever. Go to my wife’s phone to access the app(who is set to owner as well) and then it does the same thing to her. Have to delete both setups on the phones, start the process all over and sometimes when trying to setup the bulbs, it will fail on finding the bulbs for 4-6 hours. I have to wait a day or 2 before WiZ v2 will FINALLY find the bulbs and let me add them back into my rooms. And yes, rooms. I have multiple rooms setup with this app and I have to go through the whole process each time this happens. And why are you guys limiting what settings I am able to set to the 4 quick buttons? I like having Night Light, Day Light and TV Time as easy access and I can only choose 2 of those for the easy access buttons. There is just so much wrong with this app. Please bring back the old app. This one is horrid. Oh and to boot, if you download the old app, that’s still able to be downloaded from the App Store, it just crashes out so you can’t use it.
Even fewer options than before. I don't know why none of these developers can make a decent app for these beautiful lamps. The previous version didn't allow for programming your own dynamic lighting, but you could create personalized static colors, and name them. Looks like they just took away the ability to name your colors for some reason. This was helpful for me because I have unique colors for specific needs and now I have to tap on a bunch of swatches to figure out which color it is I'm looking for. Besides the on / off switch the rest of the features are useless. Who needs to program various colors throughout the day based on a schedule? Even if I had any need for this, it's so confusing and time consuming to do I wouldn't bother. I was hoping to use this to "hack" my own dynamic mixes but it doesn't work for that purpose. So much for that. The existing color cycling "moods" are ok but the speeds are all wonky and adjusting them doesn't seem to make a difference. I don't use most of them. They should get rid of the holiday ones altogether (except Diwali because that one is beautiful)
Issues. If anyone has the same problem as me, there’s hope. I was making myself crazy with setting up bulbs and using them. I spent hours attempting to connect bulbs (my husband bought bulbs for every single light inside and outside of our house years ago, and we gradually need more when we redecorate). I never had any issue until a couple months ago. I thought our bulbs were defective. The local store wouldn’t take them back. Every single time, I got the same stupid message, “Unknown issue occurred.” It was making me crazy and I was ready to get rid of the bulbs and start with a different kind, but it was an investment for the ridiculous amount that we already had. I went online the other night to see if anyone had the same issue as me. Apparently there were a lot experiencing the same thing. I got on a Reddit thread and everyone said that it fixed everything when they logged out and logged back in. I did it and it worked. It took me two seconds to fix an issue that I’ve driven myself nuts with.
Glitchy broken mess. I got two WiZ lightbulbs at the clearance isle of my local store at $0.99. Now I think I know how they got there. The setup was tedious and took almost an hour as the lightbulbs refused to enter pairing mode. The app itself has some nice features, but they only work 10% of the time, with the bulbs randomly going offline way too often. Every time I try to do something with the light I see the “unknown issue occurred, try again later” message. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. No matter if I want to change light color, mode, turn light on/off, go into settings, anything - there’s always an error message. The app is EXTREMELY poorly built. A lot of the buttons, instructions, graphics, menu items, etc. do not fit onto the screen and are not clickable. I can see a button that I want to press, but I only see the top few pixels of it and can’t click it. Most of the instructions (especially in pairing mode) only showed the first few words, the rest was off-screen, making the already painful pairing process even worse. A lot of the elements that are meant to be centered are all over the place. There are a lot of typos in the app interface. For reference, I’m using an iPhone 13mini, my WiFi is provided by the latest Spectrum modem. A note to the dev team: if I don’t see significant improvement to the app within the next few months, I’ll be returning the lightbulbs to the clearance isle of my local store - where they belong - and advising everyone else on here to do the same.
This app is the worst. I want to start off by saying that I have never written a review for anything before. Not bad restaurants, not bad apps, not bad service. But this app; I genuinely CAN NOT stand it. I had used Wiz lights for four years with the old app, and about a year ago I was forced to make the switch to this new version. If I could rate this less than one star I would. I have found it incredibly difficult to change between settings if I want something other the basic warm or white light. I don’t want to spend time fiddling around with buttons and have to go to all different lengths to get the lights to the color/ brightness I want them to be. It should be quick, a press of one maybe 2 buttons. I liked that about the old app. Yes I know there are shortcuts but frankly I find them difficult to set up and from there they again are not easily customizable. In all honesty the new app has made me question whether or not to get rid of my Wiz lights and opt for a different product.
Mostly good but still quite frustrating. The app generally works well, providing lots of options for manual and automated control. But the user interface is unnecessarily complicated, with too many screens to navigate to perform simple tasks, like changing a setting. If I used the app daily, it might be more intuitive. But since I use the app mostly for automating my outdoor lights, when I occasionally make changes, I’ve forgotten where everything is located and have to relearn the myriad of options. My other complaint is connectivity, which turns the app into a worthless exercise. My outdoor lights worked fine for months, and then suddenly a pair of them cannot maintain their connection consistently without a manual reboot. Imagine having to turn off your router for 10 minutes every time you want to turn on/off the lights. When this becomes a nightly occurrence, it’s hugely aggravating. No streaming, no computer, no phone, no illumination—all while you’re trying to reconnect two stupid lightbulbs!
LOVE OUR LIGHT BULBS. These color changing bulbs are MORE than worth the cost ANY DAY OF THE WEEK! Frankly, if you don’t have any of these yet, you’re 100% missing out! My next purchase is going to be from here within the app, for some of their newer products…ie: string lights (and I can leave them up ALL YEAR & easily change the colors of the lighting to match the scenario)! My only issue is that the light bulbs tend to disconnect from my wifi and therefore my app “forgets,” them. So the re-pairing process kinda irritates me, but it doesn’t happen like weekly or anything….more of like a once every few months. And, I kinda think it’s because I don’t have a “hub,” for my wifi/bluetooth lights (or any of the other smart devices you may or may not have ie: smart thermostats, string lights, etc)! So, honestly, it’s probably MY FAULT they disconnect in the first place! These bulbs were on sale at Walmart for $5/2-pck, so if the connection has to be re-established once every few months, considering the price I paid, I shouldn’t REALLY be complaining. Trust me….its a GREAT purchase! I’ve had these darn bulbs for like…4 years too! It’s currently Valentine’s Day 2025, and I’m serious….they’re still working great!
Decent App with Room for Improvement. I recently started using the Wiz app to control my smart lights throughout my house, and while it serves its purpose, there is definitely room for improvement. One suggestion I have is the ability to group rooms together. It would be convenient if I could change all the lights in multiple rooms simultaneously, especially when I want to create a unified lighting ambiance. Currently, I have to adjust each room separately, which can be time-consuming. Another feature that could use improvement is accessing color-switching from a group within a room. It would be great if I could easily switch colors for a specific group of lights within a room, rather than having to navigate through multiple menus. Streamlining this process would make it much more efficient and user-friendly. Additionally, I would like to suggest the inclusion of a convenient feature: a "Add All" button when setting lights for a specific room. This button would allow users to apply the lighting settings to all the groups and rooms on their device with a single click. It would save a significant amount of time and effort, especially when you have numerous groups and rooms set up. This functionality would greatly enhance the ease of managing and customizing the lighting across the entire smart home setup. Overall, the Wiz app is decent, but it has the potential to be even better with these enhancements. I hope the developers consider implementing these suggestions to enhance the user experience. Happy to help.
this app WAS great. I really enjoyed this app for almost 3+ years now. However there is a new update where you can create a schedule and on paper that’s cool. But the app WILL NOT let me put it back onto the HOME TAB. It’ll just keep automatically bringing me back to the automated tab that I DON’T WANT TO USE because it’s useless to me. It’s incredibly frustrating, I’ve crashed out twice now because I simply just want to turn on my light and set the brightness. Instead it brings me to a tab to make an arbitrary schedule that I’ll never use. Then even when you do, do that it won’t let you stay on the home tab. Because why would anyone need to use the tab that makes the light functional? That’s all I want and now I have to spend 20 minutes fighting with it just to get it back to the home screen. Please stop making your updates mandatory for customers to use. It’s incredibly frustrating and almost makes me hate a company I’ve been loyal to for years.
Losing faith in this brand. When I first time saw this brand in the market, I was curious because it looks in good design and fair price comparing to other brands. Then I figured out it’s a branch of Philips, a trustworthy well known brand. Wiz is unlike Philips’ product line Hue, has very competitive price among led light bulbs. I bought some and installed in my home 3-4 years ago. Everything seems good until the app upgraded to v2. The UI is better than last version for sure. But the response time of bulbs seems slower. More glitches in the app have not been fixed. I currently use iPhone 16 and my wife uses iPhone 14 Pro Max, with latest version of the app. But both showing error messages for many daily operation. Eg I try to remove certain device from the app. But it shows error and stock there. I can’t do anything about it. It’s been a long time and no newer app released so far. I was so disappointed. Also, as some people say, the bulbs lose WiFi connection so often. That is very annoying when you want to turn on/off one light, and it’s not responsive. I also tried new led bulb with built in sensor. Which claims it can sense the movement and react. It doesn’t work that well. So I returned the bulb eventually. After so much frustration, I move on to another brand with better center control and responsiveness. I keep all Wiz bulbs in the box. Hope one day a better app and firmware can bring this brand live again.
Should be called DUMBLIGHTS. Because they’re the opposite of smart. Idk what Philips was doing when they created the Wiz but they clearly can’t CARE less. Don’t dare think for a second “oh look another Wiz app, V2, must mean improvement!” WRONG the original app kept closing out. The v2 app won’t even let me set up a light to the room. It won’t let me click on “start set up” the prompt literally follows 0 command. Its not frozen, because when I press the “start set up” I can see the color get highlighted but when I release the button / remove my finger from clicking or pressing it does absolutely NOTHING. Terrible. I’m so very disappointed in WIZ a year ago I thought I would just update to HUE if Wiz didn’t improve but TODAY, I wouldn’t DARE touch the hue system simply because it’s made by Philips and they’ve managed to royally mess the Wiz V2 app up. Such a small issue should not snowball but with Wiz it SOMEHOW always does. Looking into other brands especially those that allow multiple rooms to be connected to one remote control without the constant use of an app!
Bring Back the Old App!. I love my wiz lights, but the new app isn’t so unnecessary and has actively made the user experience worse. I never had any problems quickly switching between the different color options and intensities on the old app, which was perfectly streamlined and easy to use. The new app seems to have tons of new functionality, but this functionality is useless behind a rather difficult and counter-intuitive UI. The response time between choosing a light option and it activating the lights is worse as well. I have never written a review before, but I am compelled to now because this is one of if not the worse declines in UI functionality I have ever seen. The old app worked perfectly fine, was intuitive, and fulfilled all the wants I had for the service. Maybe the new UI will just take more getting used to, but the old UI was seamless and easy to use immediately. More bells and whistles is not necessarily a good thing.
Almost great, but hobbled. It is very easy to attach devices to the app. The UI is smooth and slick. It is easy to turn lights on and off and I like how you can set a fade time for a light as it is going off. There is a library feature where you can set up a scene. Scenes are not what I thought they would be and seem extremely limited to just setting one group of lights to particular settings in a single room. Furthermore, you should be allowed to add any device in any room to a scene. Another limitation is that if you want to use the automation feature, you cannot use one of your scenes for the automation. It makes the notion of a scene, the most hobbled feature in the app. While, it is true that one could add all lights in the house to a room called House and then create a scene out of that, it defeats the spatial concept of rooms and could end up being even more confusing. And then, still, you would not be able to use the saved scene as part of automation. As slick as the app is and as reliable as it is, it still feels wholly unfinished.
New App is garbage, I gave them a chance. I gave it a chance, I gave the development team a couple months to screw this thing together properly, but it hasn’t happened. The timer system doesn’t seem to work, or rather it follows some hidden clock rather than the times I enter for my time zone. The app doesn’t connect to my network constantly. It’s basically random as to whether the app will let me operate the lights. It’s infuriating. My idea of how this app should work is that EVERY TIME I open it while standing in the room I want to control, I should be able to open the app and control the lights. This is true about 50% of the time. The switches are on because well, the lights are on. I can’t turn them off because, the app won’t connect. If it works sometimes, it should work all the time. To be very clear, this is not a problem with how it’s set up. It is not a problem with my modem or home network. I will be contacting support about this. The old app worked, every time, I never had issues like this. How about copying the programming and making it look a little cleaner. Instead you built a new app with a crappy networking process. It might look “newer” but I’d rather something work than look good.
Hard to set up and easy to get frustrated. I have three bulbs. The set up seemed easy enough. That’s why I bought these after doing some research. I had one bulb get set up in less than a few minutes. Next bulb even easier. I was very excited because I did my research and for once it paid off. Not so fast! The third bulb… same bulb as the other two, refused to connect. The app kept asked my about the 2.4 ghz but the first two set up so that wasn’t the issue. Here is what really frustrated me beyond the fact that I could not get this last one to connect. I went to the manual set up in the app… white screen! I tried to go to customer service in the app…. White screen! Nothing drives me more insane than to need troubleshooting and the app itself is as much the problem as the device. Worst part is that nothing will change and I am stuck with a bulb that doesn’t work and an app/company that seems as dysfunctional as the device. I gave it two stars because I want to be fair. Two devices did set up easily. Update: The developer left me a nice message which seems like a form letter. Obviously they did not read my message because they asked me to go into the app and hit chat support. Did that several times…. White screen! That should tell you something about this company. Buyer beware.
New App is harder to use.. The Wiz system is great, when it works. The system is still worth buying. However the new app makes the system questionable. I think with a major overhaul(needed) this system would be a top recommendation again. Issues with the app/system: 1. Connecting lights. The process is clunky and frustrating. I have issues connecting to my router because it doesn’t separate the signal bands like the older routers would to 2.4 GHz and 5GHz. 2. The new app is constantly glitching and difficult to use off of wifi. The old app would allow me to control my lights from outside of my house. Let’s say you pull into the driveway at 11pm and you want mood lights on to set a vibe or for basic safety. It’s hit or miss. 3. Deleting/creating a new home/room. Need I say more. The front end and back end is messy. Not sure how much QA was done from the development side with this. 4. Allow me to create a home with multiple wifi networks / connections. It’s common for homes to have multiple WiFi access points. Routers or range extenders. Maybe this wouldn’t be a problem for mesh networks. I believe in this system. To circumvent many of these issues I’ve used the remotes but the preprogrammed lighting options are limited so for the most part I’m stuck with those 4. I recommend every user of this system to pick up a remote. It’s worth it!
App issues. I literally just got my Phillips smart WiFi LED lighting with Wiz lightbulb less than an hour ago and am unable to even set up a profile. The app will not upload the terms and conditions for me to approve. I have reset my phone, checked for any upgrades my phone might need, closed and reopened the app, and uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and I’m still running into the same issue. This is frustrating considering I paid over $15. Not only have I wasted my time calling your support center, trying to troubleshoot a brand new light bulb, but I’m also now having to drive back and forth to my local super market to exchange the lightbulb. Never again will I purchase Phillips. After hours of back and forth with this app/lightbulb I gave up. I was extremely excited when I purchased but was left disappointed. Product was returned and instead I bought a FEIT ELECTRIC smart bulb (swear this is not-sponsored) and was able to connect in seconds. Phillips/WiZ has lost a customer.
Worse than previous Version. I have been using WIZ for a couple of years now for our bedroom lights. Our bedroom doesn’t have any overhead lights so we have to use lamps, making this the most convenient options. I have them connected to my google hub for quick voice commands and I have this app. I used the previous version with virtually no issues. It rarely displayed that there wasn’t a connection or glitched out. I cannot say the same about this new app. Nearly every time I open it my lights aren’t displaying as registered and I get the error that my lights aren’t on when they clearly are. For example, I just opened and closed the app 5 times before it displayed my lights were on-before I could adjust. I don’t like the new setup either, it feels way more difficult to navigate than in the previous version. I was excited to try this new version and it’s been a big let down. There’s no point in having these lights if I can’t actually use them with the app, or even through my google hub. I just receive error after error that there was an issue and lack a connection (even sometimes when I am in the middle of adjusting brightness and color). Please fix these issues with the app so it’s actually functional.

TERRIBLE - don’t do it Wiz Downlight and Wiz app. I’ve used a few wireless lights over the past few years but these are by far the worst. Terrible connection issues, they won’t setup, have trouble shot everything but cannot get a Wiz Downlight to even connect, let alone turn on - the app is woeful. Straight back to Bunnings for a refund and a little complaint/ feedback for them on the product. It’s 2023, it shouldn’t be this hard.
Terrible - no support for Google. I’ve spent a good couple hours trying to sort this app after previously having the V1. V1 worked fine and had it setup with Google home though last couple months the lights flickered and didn’t go to the desired dimness/warm setting which was annoying. Saw that the V2 app had been put on the App Store and annoyingly couldn’t import my existing home so had to reconnect the 3 lights in the apartment - all manually. So successfully setups new home in the V2 app and then I just wanted to sort it with Google home. Wow what a joke this is - you go to Google home and Wiz V2 isn’t supported. You click “Wiz” and it takes you to the V1 app which now crashes immediately and cannot link (if installed). If you only have V2 installed it doesn’t know what app to open and prompts you to download V2. The Google Home connectivity expects a 6 digit pin to connect to Wiz which isn’t apparent in the V2 app. So yeah I now have lights that dim and are controllable through this app but now they are no longer integrated to google. I will not be buying any more Wiz products and special shout out to the support “Meeraa” who was useless in assisting with the matter. Directing people to check a different app that crashes upon entry is not helpful. What an absolute joke - you don’t make a new app and force people’s hands to download it without having key functionality as sold on the product info pages. These products do not work with Google.
App has stopped working. Needs an update. Picks and chooses when it wants to work. If you have say 3 bulbs and try and set multiple schedules it doesn’t work. Has stopped connecting to my bulbs.
Widget. Widget should not open app when a quick control is tapped. Currently when turning off and on lights from a widget, the wiz v2 app is opened afterwards, which defeats the purpose of a quick touch button.
Cannot connect in app. App doesn’t appear to be properly developed/working. Please help!. Cannot connect in app. App doesn’t appear to be properly developed/working. Please help! I have downloaded it multiple times and when it comes up saying “search for light” I click the button but nothing happens. Light is on and next to wifi router. Please help.
Yeah disappointing. The original Wiz app was fine, and honestly this new app’s interface looks nice… but it’s very buggy and I am now unable to set up a singular light bulb on either app. Manual setup is confusing and auto setup simply doesn’t work, just says ‘connecting’ and no result
Easiest way is to sign in to new Wiz App through Apple sign-in. If coming from Wiz V1 App, Just sign in to new Wiz V2 App through Apple sign-in (if you have an Apple device) & all will be transferred. Just click on the Apple sign, do not click on manual migration. Don’t need any codes, the available instructions are very bad & confusing. Actually don’t need to manually transfer anything, it does it all for you. If Wiz V1 app is crashing on opening & you want it back, just turn off device & turn back on & it will work.
Why No More Siri!?!?. Why No More Siri!?!? This was one of the best features of the previous App. Why did you remove it? I bought all my lights cause they’re “were” compatible with the previous App and Siri. Now nothing 🤷🏼♂️
Great. I found the app straight forward. I noticed there is a schedule function for entire room but not for an individual device. Strange. I will try creating a room with one device in it as a work around. Otherwise app is good.
Fine when it works. The features and everything are great but the connectivity is rubbish. I only usually get to do one thing in the app before it gives me a “something’s gone wrong” error and it’s infuriating! It’s been like this for weeks and I’m so over it.
Awful Interface. I really regret spending so much money on Wiz bulbs now that we’re being forced off the original app for this one. It’s so upsetting. The new interface takes so much longer to change dynamic colours individually. I will have arthritis and carpal tunnel from the new interface requiring so much from my hands! The old app was perfect, the new app is awful.
Ux Fail. Love this product, but tiny slider buttons are insane. Make the touch zone larger for the toggle on/off buttons especially because they sit in top of another HUGE button. It makes me sad how much your UI designers paid for their college education and still deliver sub-standard experiences. ❤️
Switched from LIFX. I had nothing but headaches with LIFX and to be honest, I was hesitant about trying another brand.. however I am glad I did, that are not even Comparable. Wiz is far easier to set up, no fussing with codes or scan, it pairs easily and stays paired.
Used to be good now consistent error message. I can seem to turn lights on or off anymore, getting an error message when I try anything. If I did not have automations set up they would be useless
Garbage connection, sitting in darkness. Nothing but network issues and “unknown issues” whenever I try using the app. The layout is so much better than the old one but the connection is terrible making the light an integrated piece of rubbish.
New app. I love the light and while it does function, it takes a lot to make it work. The app always says “Unknown issue occurred. Something went wrong, please try again” after every single action I try to do. I end up having to enter and exit the app multiple times before it works. I don’t know if this is something just with my system but it works alright. Hoping for the system to be fixed soon :)
Works well and app is intuitive. I hadn’t seen the reviews until I bought the bulbs. Only issue was connecting to the router during initial setup. I moved the bulb into the same room as the router and it connected immediately. Then I moved them into different rooms and everything works well. The app is intuitive too.
Complete waste of time, effort & money. I would not even give this one star! I was so excited to try this light bulb that connects to an app and was really looking forward to using all the different features. That was until I tried pairing it with the app! I have been trying to pair it for hours on end and finally a few days later (with the help of my tech wiz brother) I have finally managed to connect it to my phone- all the features are amazing… Only for it to disconnect the next day and now I am back at square one with pairing!! 🤯 Please note I am pretty tech savvy but this is just awful to use (help assist was not much help either) I will never buy this brand again I might look for another brand for a new globe
User experience is terrible. I’ve had trouble with Wiz lights ever since first buying them. Sometimes they just stop pairing and then they no longer work. The app change from Legacy to v2 has been even harder. I think they legacy version was better
Apple Watch. I’ve only recently discovered WiZ and I’m thrilled about that and only wish I had discovered you earlier but I’m here now. Love the globes, in particular the filament globe which was my first buy. The app took a little getting used to and now navigate my way around no problem. So I’m hoping you are looking towards developing a complication for Apple Watch. The convenience of basic controls, turning lights etc on and off would be very useful.
Junk, app always shows errors. Since the move to the new app, I get constant errors when trying to adjust the lights. It’s almost pointless having this as I invariably have to manually turn lights on and off.
Half a decade of WiZing. Status: I have 4 lightbulbs, 1 led strip, and 1 power point from WiZ. I’ve been using these lights for 5 years now. They’ve been reliable and easy to install over time. I’ve moved homes twice. I commend the teams from hardware to software. This is an achievement. WiZ is the company I’d recommend to my not tech savvy grandparents and my most technical friends alike. The integrations with Siri Shortcuts are brilliant. I’m thrilled to have an app that consistently maintains that system. Since it’s critical to my daily functioning. The recent wifi sensing beta is an intriguing and ingenious feature I’m yet to have the pleasure of trying. A suggestion I’d make, is an optional notification as you move into different environments. These can be silenced with a focus mode, yet still used to trigger specific shortcut automations. I have a dream of a kluged Endel integration this way. Changing the lights and music as I move from space to space. Again, thank you to the teams at WiZ. My life is easier, faster, and more whimsical with a bit of WiZardry.
Terrible. Since “upgrading” to the new app none of my lights have connected. Incredibly frustrating as I can’t change the colours on my strip lights now and can’t select the warmth I want on my lamp or dining room lights… going to have to switch across to a better brand I guess.
Terrible and unreliable. In the wise words of Regurgitator “ I like your old stuff better than your new stuff” As I had been using the previous app with ZERO issues. Simple and issue free and the widget was awesome! The update? Automations ensure specific switches go on and off at specific times to ensure my working day begins without a hitch, but a need to make a single day change has left me perplexed as to how to set it and keep it set as an error continually pops up. If the app has been opened and set to the background for a moment it has a fit refuses to make the change when it’s brought back to the foreground. But even shutting down the app and restarting it does not always mend the problem. I’m not fond of the grouping of the rooms to narrow selections down when there are so many to sort through to make a change to one light. Daylight savings is here and I can’t change my light and switch sequence.
App is over complicated. Why take an app that works and version upgrade to something useless, over complicated and that doesn’t work. I won’t be buying Wiz’s products again. The company is clearly run by stupidity.
Absolutely Terrible. If you want an app where none of the buttons/services work this is the app for you. Original version worked perfectly and they migrated people to the new version. Migration failure meant globe was ‘offline’. 🤬 End result is I had remove all apps, recreate accounts, recreate all IFTTT integrations and still can’t use the new app.
Issue with app. I recently changed from the original app to this one. Overall, it’s a simple app and i like it better than the old one. However, sometimes when i want to change the colour or settings of my lightbulb it won’t let me. It will say “Unknown issue occurred” and after many tries of trying different things in the app and reseting my iPhone, my lamp and wifi and it still won’t work. Sometimes it will work after a few minutes but it is frustrating to repeat this every night while i just want to rest or read a book. Thank you for taking your time to read this and i hope this helps with further updates.
App not working. This new app keeps freezing up and not working. All I wanted to do was to link it with my new Alexa devices and perform an automation. Had to create an account and was redirected to this app from the old one. Now nothing is working… very disappointed as I love my wiz lights & want everything to work seamlessly.
Malicious Privacy Stealing PoS. A remote that came with the light no longer works after a year or so. ( New batteries). The light needs internet access via my honme router, to control it. I need to setup an account to control a light? Are you joking? Why not just local BLE? You should be ashamed.
Buggy. Worked fine for a month and then it couldnt detect my lights anymore. Tried reconnecting a few times but keeps showing that the lights are offline even after successfully connecting them, very strange bug with broadcast udp error. Update: worked on the older wiz app, this app is a joke. I still get the udp error on this new app when i tried it again. No issues with the older app.
Live sync. Would be awesome if you could leave the app while live music synced still in play so people could go back to their music app and select their music.
Form over function. Backwards step compared to the older app. Upon launching, current status of lights takes longer to load. Menus, within menus, within menus approach for functions and scenes etc etc is confusing and non-sensical. Room and individual light sliders are funky - they either don’t toggle immediately or toggle back and forth. Touch zone for the room and light toggles is too fine.
Not as easy as you think to add another bulb. recently had my electrician added a power point to front porch hoping to add another light. You would assume it’s as easy as screw in and cl ok away ? nope it’s still telling me “cant fine device” I’ve had 2 others been using for over 3 yrs ? not a super user friendly product. Great When it works
overall fine, just lacks some key features. overall a very workable app. I just frequently feel frustrated at a lack of specific features that would really improve the usability and customisation of the lights/app. - colour selector is too small. it’s very difficult to see what you’re actually tapping, this also goes for altering colours slight amounts (despite there being obvious changes in the actual lighting). - custom colours needs some type of sorting/naming system as the small images can look indistinguishable if the colours are similar. - automation would be much better to use if you could select specific lights instead of only entire rooms. - automations should be able to access scenes. this would allow for MUCH wider customisation and amend the previous point. - having the ability to make custom progressive lighting would also be very useful for waking up/going to sleep.
Can improve. I found that the older app works a little better at connecting the lights than the new one.
Arthur. The app is quite reasonable to navigate once you get familiar with it. I would suggest to me take the app more practical/ productive. It would be good to have a few more room icons and styles available as the choice appears quite limited. Icons like a storage room. Gym. Laundry. Deck (balcony seems to be there)
Can’t set up lights. App is not as user friendly as the last one - more complicated and light set up buttons take me no where? So I can’t even set my lights up now because the legacy app crashes every time I open it
My review. This app is cool to go with the new light bulb I bought today it has cool modes and it makes my room look cool 5 stars recommend both the app and light bauble
Really Bad. I had no issue setting up the app and connecting the light. The new app doesn’t seem to have the nightlight function and looked way more difficult to use. Went back to the old app. Works just fine.
Keep the old app. I was excited to learn of an upgraded app. Sadly this version is so full of glitches that after many months of perseverance, I have reverted to the previous app. I can’t understand why the company would risk it’s reputation releasing this version…. UPDATE Gave the developers a few months and made the mistake of trying this new version again. Don’t do it!!! Especially if you have to undergo the extraordinarily painful task that setting up new Wifi is with Wiz. (Sonos and Swann Security make it easy.) *An hour on and still trying to connect lightbulbs *
Continuing errors. Always states that an error has occurred and to please try again. “Unknown issue occurred. Something went wrong, please try again”. Keep having to shut down app and restart. Even this doesn’t often fix the issue. It’s virtually unusable. Very annoyed. So much promise.
Not as good as original app. I find this app WAY harder to hook up to our lights. In every room we have one light that won’t connect. Would rather go back to the old app but when I downloaded the old app and deleted the new one it didn’t work!!! Wish this new app worked as effectively as the original app
automation bug. hi! love this app. however recently i’ve been experiencing a bug upon opening my app that can only be fixed by restarting my phone. when i open the app it takes me to the automation tab. i click on the home tab and have about 1 second there before the app automatically redirects me back to the automation tab. even if i click buttons on the home tab it still takes me back after. however i can still click the buttons and change my light brightness etc in that 1 second period. any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
Was working great now unknown problem. App was working fantastic till about a month ago. I can no longer switch to another household it just keeps loading and says a unknown issue occurred and for the household I’m logged into I can control my globe as normal but every time I make a change it pops up with the unknown issue occurred even though it works.
Good app. This is a good app, works well with the iOS and iPhone setup. It would be great if there was an iPad version made as the iPad is used as a home tablet screen at times.
Works fine for new users. Looking at all these terrible reviews it looks like the migration from v1 to v2 is what messed people up. I recently moved my whole house to these lights (from Arlec) and it’s been fine. Wiz have the best range of lights to suit my needs (white colour adjusting Edison bulbs in particular). Would be good if the widget switched the lights without opening the app, but apart from that I’ve had no issues.
Doesn’t connect half the time. The app is awful for anyone that uses widgets on Apple iPhone. Doesn’t respond and says connection error. Despite being connected to the same network I find I have to force quite the app and restart it for it to work.
Always been glitchy. Every second action has an “An Unknown error occurred. Please try again.” I love the bulbs but the app is severely broken. I can set lights up but using the app to change on the go is hit and miss. Adding members to the home seems straight forward but again, “unknown error”. Seriously embarassing in 2025 to have such a shonky app.
Works really well. I bought one to turn my heater on and off from being in bed because I have a disability. It works really well and has been a lifesaver.
Horrible. Would be great if the functionality to actually paid the bulbs through the app worked. All I get is “Device found” and when pressing the button, just get a grey action with nothing else happening.

Can’t connect!. Have used this for while, was slow but working. After a period of time it stopped, just could not connect. Tried every way recommended in the app. Nothing in the app works. Will give details if wiz approaches.
Wiz Smart Plug. I don't understand why the smart plug sometimes detects and hides lost connections.
Good value. The bulbs and app are fine and I would like to add more products but unfortunately they are not HomeKit compatible.
Worst App Ever. The previous version of this app was sooooo much better. Easy to use, no problem. The moment they switched the app, I’ve had soo many glitches from trying to connect to my bulb, changing the lighting, etc. Now my bulb does not connect at all to my app and I’ve tried to reinstall the bulb but no luck. The worst.
User Agreement Document Won’t Load. Downloaded the app. The user agreement document won’t load. So I can’t use the app at all. I’ve never seen an app fail this early on in the user experience so it gets an extra star
Motion sensor. Won’t connect bluetooth
Power outage. The power outage feature does not work. Woke up to my entire apartment flashing red after a power outage and it would not go away for 15-20 minutes.
Sunset timer will stay on all day.. Sunset timer stays on all the next day
Wiz lights app. Been on this app for 20 mins need to change a time schedule …do you think I can find it ….nope !
Doesn’t work half the time. Horrible UX
This is garbage. This app broke the lights in my house it’s so garbage
Constant connectivity "bulbs are offline" issues. Thanks for ruining another perfectly functional product guys. Great job
RGBIC. I just got an rgbic light strip, and you can’t even take advantage of it being rgbic, there’s no way in the app to make the lights trail! Or do anything than change the colors of the whole strip. Might aswell have saved some money and got the regular led strips! Very irritating!!!
Astronomical feature. I would like to see an astronomical feature added for the outdoor lighting.
Useful. This app is extremely useful and use it with my wiz bulbs. Scheduling of lights on/off, remote controlling is amazing.
It doesn’t work. I lost an hour of my life trying to connect to the bulb and I still couldn’t
Terrible app. It makes me doubt of the 5 stars rating because I can’t believe that someone can rate this app at 5 stars.
Not easy to set up for voice commands on iPhone. Read the FAQ and watched tutorial to set up to Siri. Not straight forward and frustrating. Will be returning for a more compatible option
doesnt work. this sucks so much i have been trying to connect for hours
Stick with the original version. WIZ V2 is not an intuitive app. Don’t waste your time. Stick with the original app which is fun and easy to navigate. It’s almost like the designers of V2 didn’t test their own product with the end user. Big fail.
Bring back old app. New app is horrible. Impossible to do anything anymore. UI designed by someone with zero experience.
Best Bluetooth light option available. Runs very smoothly compared to others I’ve tried, especially with setting up multiple lights.
Offline. It’s very hard to get these set up or reset if one of the outside pot lights go offline but they are super nice you get them working.
Unable to set min brightness for circadian rhythm. Lights become too dim around evening
Pathetic app operation. App is not user friendly, frustrating whenever need to be used
Wiz Legacy was better. This version is very hard to connect lights to.
Great app. Easy to set up and control all the light needs for all moods. Would love more colour schemes added!
Wiz. It’s a very good app once you figure it out The lights last forever. I highly recommend it in your household. It’s something where I can see if I forgot a light on in my room or anywhere in my house and I could turn it off using this app without you going in and turning off with the light switch
Nothing but problems ever since new app. Used to have no issues connecting with home assistant, now connection always fails. This app is overly simplistic and the lights keep losing connection in both the app and home assistant. Edit: I’m at the end of a 2 hour session wasting my time trying to get these worthless overpriced lights to connect reliably. They’re always losing connection with the app, one is stuck permanently on and red never connecting to the app, impossible to put in paring mode. Stay far away from this nonsense if you value your sanity.
DO NOT DELETE THE V1 APP. If you have the V1 app on your phone, DO NOT DELETE IT. You will quickly find out that the V2 app does not work and the developers removed the V1 app listing so it can no longer be downloaded. I am highly suspicious of the management who approved the development of the V2 app, considering the V1 app was perfectly functional. As a software developer myself, I can see exactly why and how things are not functioning with the V2 app. It must have been developed by a new or outsourced team that does not have the technical abilities of the original team, which is sad because this is a very simple app. Imagine you ran the Porsche company, and you hired a team to engineer the 911. And it was a success and everything worked! Then imagine firing the original team and hiring a team from Kia. And suddenly all your engines blow up and transmissions fail. And you forced all your costumers to upgrade from their Porsche to a Kia. That’s what this team did. Pure incompetence. Make the V1 app available again.
Not Intuitive and Invites Don’t Work. This app shows promise but falls short in execution. While it has potential, the design is not user-friendly. The layout of the functions feels like it was created from the perspective of the developers rather than the average user, making it frustrating to navigate. The invite system, in particular, is a major issue—it simply doesn’t work. This means only one person in the household can control the lights, and even though the app claims to support multiple users, adding a second person is impossible. Overall, the lack of intuitiveness and functional sharing features makes this app more of a headache than a help.
“Unknown Issue Occurred”. It’s been showing for a week straight and there are zero issues with my bulb and internet connectivity. It still turns on the light and adjusts brightness/hue/etc but this app error is extremely irritating.
Awful. The devices never connect properly to this app
Frustrating app that once worked great.. I had such a good experience with these, I would recommend them to friends and I would decorate my home to accommodate the potential of these. Brilliant… …until I ordered a new pair and the app won’t recognize them, and the troubleshooting is vague and leads to dead ends with no suggestions other than please try again. It’s a 2/5 and not 1 because I am holding out hope someone from Wiz can help me,
Being unwillingly force-fed this terrible V2 app. I've been using Wiz lights for three years with over 20+ bulbs in my home and never had a complaint - until this V2 app. The original app was straightforward and did everything I needed. V2 on the other hand has been a terrible experience, as is reflected by countless other reviewers. The new interface is needlessly frustrating. Everything is hidden behind extra menus and unnecessary steps, not to mention the reduced function set and also features that straight up don’ work. The connectivity issues are a nightmare. Half the time, I can’t even get the lights to respond. I tried keeping both the old and new apps, but it seems like having the V2 app on your phone makes it so that the V1 stops working properly. Once I deleted V2, the old app started working fine again. Annoying, but at least I still retained functionality of my lights and didn’t have to think about the terrible new app. However, recently, every time I open the V1 app, I get this nagging pop-up prompting the switch to V2. It’s really off-putting. The message is weirdly vague and almost menacing: “You can continue to use Wiz V1 for a while...” What does that even mean? I use my lights multiple times every single day, and having to dismiss the pop-up every time is just a pain. Honestly, it feels like they took a perfectly good app and made it worse for no reason. I wish they would just leave well enough alone and let us keep using the old app.
Stupid. This app sucks old one was so much better
V2 👎🏻 vivement l’ancienne application est la meilleure. Je suis très content d’avoir retrouvé le contrôle de mes lampes. Cependant donner le contrôle à "V 2" n’est pas une bonne idée.
Needs more support. Love the product but the app rarely works
Разочарован. Перестало работать приложение когда сменил телефон с 12pro max на 14 pro max .. теперь моя лампочка просто лампочка .. все перепробовал , немогу подключить лампочку к приложению.. зря выкинуты деньги..
Setup lengthy. Connect again at later date? Non existent.. Initial setup is lengthy when pairing with the led pod lights. I expected a bit of extended time setting up a schedule with multiple lights. Once you’re finally setup it’s good, but if you need to then reconnect to the lights a month later, good luck. The app fails. Won’t find the lights, so whatever schedule you had set is now permanent. The only way to get rid of it is to completely reset all the lights, but the app won’t find them. I had to reset the entire wifi networks just to turn red and green Xmas lights off in April. Sounds like a great idea, but the frustration of the app connecting / not connecting to the lights is terrible.
Suddenly stopped working. Out of a blue after last update it has stopped working on my iPhone. Re installed the app and still not working.
TERRIBLE. You need to fix your app ASAP. Whenever I try to turn on my light with the app it NEVER works! It’s really frustrating! Stick to the original app this one sucks!!!
Frustrating. Every time I open the app, it takes me to the Automation tab. If i select another tab, nope, back to Automation. I have to try and set the brightness I want in the split second before it boots me back to Automation again. This has been an issue for several months now.
Resolved Network Errors. Had to delete and set up Wiz legacy again then moved over to new app perfectly!
Heartbroken & Deceived. Bought a fancy new light and was all excited to see what colours and settings it had to offer. The app glitches so much that I can’t even connect to my light. What a waste of money.
Old app was much more reliable.. This app gets worse with every release. Now when I turn on a room some lights may turn on if they feel like it. I have 30 of these lights all over the house. So when this app doesn’t work I go back to the old app and it seems to work always. But I shouldn’t have to do that. It should work. Very frustrating experience.
Sucks. Doesn’t it even work on my llight half the time It takes forever to use and it is random
Switching network password created a major problem. New wifi network at home and it takes hours to try to get lights working again.
The new app is not functiont. The new app is always giving an error when i use the app and it freezes a lot
It’s ok, needs Apple Watch integration. The look is all different, finally getting the dark mode. All other features are the same. I wish the app had Apple Watch integration with shortcuts to at least control lights on and off. Make it happen Wiz and I’ll give full 5 stars.

Recent disappointment. UPDATE: my app started working again for maybe a week and then all of my lightbulbs say they are unreachable and any attempts to re pair them have been unsuccessful, when i tried to use the chatbot "help service" it told me to use self help and considered its job done if i could change my rating to a zero or a negative number at this point i would When i first started using the app and these bulbs i was super excited and they worked with almost no problems, but recently my app lags or doesnt work at all and tells me some "unknown problem ocurred". Its making the bulbs and app almost unusable and ive had to go through my alexa app just to keep using them in any capacity. Im super disappointed about this and hope they can fix it soon so i dont have to switch out the brand of bulbs for my whole home just to use them
It’s fine but annoying. I never write reviews, so I really hope feedback is taken seriously. The app is fine, though not user friendly - you have to go through a bunch of unnecessary steps just to set one light setting. It’s not as easy to use as the original version. Also too, it would be nice to go back to the settings/lighting options without having to go “back” through a ton of pages. However, it does turn my lights on and off, so I guess it does the job. The reason for my review is due to a bug of the app that no matter what section of the app I navigate to (home, library, etc) it automatically brings me back to the automation “tab”. Sometimes I can’t even set the light mode I want because of this. It’s annoying and counters the whole purpose of the app.
Horrible. I must own around 40 Wiz lights many of them Phillips Wiz but in any case I never had many issues with the original app. After getting the latest iPhone 16 Pro Max and being forced to upgrade my Wiz app, I’ve had nothing but issues. I can’t rename lights or move them to different rooms. I can’t even add new lights to the app because even when it discovers them, it fails to add them. The light statuses in the main screen are often incorrect, and the app is very slow to change the lights when I dim or brighten them or turn them off or on or change the color. And anytime I try to do anything basic even simply changing between screens in the app, it pops up this error that says “unknown error has occurred” and doesn’t give any useful information about why it keeps happening. This app version has been a huge problem for years and I’ve avoided moving to it at least 3 to 4 years since whenever it first came out because of all the complaints and quite honestly if it doesn’t get corrected very soon I have no problem investing hundreds of dollars more into smart lights from a brand with a better app that doesn’t give me headaches and PTSD.
Haven’t had a single problem yet. Update: It’s had some hiccups & bugs, but our internet has been weird lately. Everything seems to be fixed by updating the app. My initial review was also five stars, but contingent on the app’s usability over time. It’s still five stars and I’ve finally figured out how the new interface works. Here’s my minor complaint… I wish there had been a video tutorial, because the new app is more difficult to learn than the old one. It’s not as intuitive/accessible. Despite this it’s not enough to dock a star, the app functions flawlessly so far and is light years ahead of the old one. My lights respond faster than ever.
Both non intuitive and unstable. Want to create a group and add lights to it? Good luck finding it - you have to be in a room - and then you can only select lights in that room for the group. Do you need to remove a light from a group or room? Good luck. Extremely non-intuitive. Add to this the entire system when paired with Philip’s lights is unstable. Lights go off line and it’s near impossible to reset them, many times lights are unresponsive and cannot be controlled and frequently a light shows up as ready to pair that I’ve already paired and errors out during the process creating a zombie. I’d say if you have two or three lights at most this app and lights are probably ok. But if you need to do a whole house lighting system, invest in a better quality system that uses a hub.
Want pairing ( update, i fix it ). these are already the second bulbs that I have changed since the last purchase, both of which do not want to connect to the device. Update: I figured it out, the problem was that I had 5 Ghz instead of 2.4 ghz, I had to spend 15 minutes and figure out how to change the Internet on my att router to 2.4, it turned out not to be that difficult. The problem was not in the application and the light, but in me. The only thing I suggest the developers include instructions on how to change wi fi from 5 to 2.4
Worst than the first!!!. You get locked into a set up screen that will drain your battery on your phone for hours because it can’t think quickly. Does it come up with a problem at the bottom of the screen and you can’t swipe to get the solution? Absolutely it will just sit there and mock you and tell you that it knows your problem but it has your money so you can go get bent. I have never in my life dealt with a more incompetent company than this one. And I was warned not to go for the cheap version. I’ve lost so much time and effort and money just tried to solve the problems that these people have created and then they don’t even know how to build the app so you can get proper technical support. Seriously these are the worst. Run from these people they have no idea what they’re doing.
Good sometimes. Great most of the time but sometimes they just don’t work. When the power goes off and comes back on the lights come on super bright (and yes, I have the box checked to do whatever the light was doing before power outage) no matter what. Two of our bulbs quit doing anything but turning on/off. You cannot change the color or brightness and customer service is TERRIBLE!! I reported it because these bulbs aren’t cheap. They kept asking (through email, no number to reach them and they won’t call me) the same questions and I kept giving them the same answers. I just gave up and I’m stuck with 2 bulbs that turn on/off. Overall they’re neat and a great concept but hopefully they’ll get these quirks worked out soon!
Adding bulb to room light set. Bathroom: We still can’t figure out how to add a bulb to an existing light set. The store inventory did not allow us to purchase all bulbs at the same time. We set up fixture with initial bulb stock. Adding new bulb later did not sync with other bulbs in same fixture. It comes on, but not able to sync color to others bulbs on fixture. Garage: We added 4 bulbs, all synced initially. Light switch manually turned off and when switched back on three bulbs from smart device seem like they can be controlled and one bulb from device cannot be controlled. However, outside show opposite pattern: three bulbs are off and only one bulb is on. This is very misleading and confusing. Not sure how to correct these issues.
Inferior to version 1 - won’t switch despite harassment. It’s like a year since I wrote the old review, they’ve now taken Wiz Legacy off the App store, and reviews of the new version are still awful. Please return to the old one and support it again - it is STILL way better. I’m so tired of the disingenuous “we appreciate, we understand how important, etc etc” in response to now years of complaints, yet they do absolutely nothing to improve the product or revert to the better previous version. Old review: Wiz has decided to harass and bully users of the superior version 1 into using this awful version 2. So let me be clear, I will stop using Wiz bulbs and switch to another “smart” bulb maker before I am forced to move to this “new” app. If you insist on this putting a popup in my way every time I open version 1, I will also stop buying Wiz bulbs.
Worse in every way. Not a big fan of ruining a perfectly fine app with a significantly worse one. Made the switch to silence the never ending pop-ups on the old app to switch to the Brand New Upgraded Version™️ and was immediately disappointed. Despite having a few neat features, I feel the old app could have easily just been updated. Half of my lightbulbs stopped responding within a day or two of switching and would not reconnect after trying multiple times via the smart, bluetooth, and manual pairing modes. The troubleshooting section is a joke, offering no help beyond “maybe your lights just don’t work :/“. Switched back to the old app after only having 3/6 lights functional via the app and had little to no issue reconnecting the lights. Extremely poor experience. Will be staying on the older version for as long as possible.
Weird glitches in app makes it hard to use. I have it set to be on “daylight” every time I turn it on for a reason, well all of a sudden it hs been changing to this light yellow/warm light. I haven’t changed the settings and I’m unable to fix this problem, it’s really irritating. I try to change it back to daylight but a few seconds later - back to dingy warm yellow. Whatsup with that :( and sometimes when I go on the app, I can’t go into any other tab, it always forces me to go back to “automation”. I literally don’t want to do anything in automation at the moment, why is it forcing me to stay on that tab?? All these problems are recent, maybe a week. I haven’t changed anything in the app so I’m not sure why I’m having these issues all of a sudden :(
Terrible update just so you can advertise new products?. What clown PM thought this was a good idea? Oh let’s release a new app that can boost in app sales but make our product unusable. Genius thinking! I can’t follow your migration instructions because downloading the new app causes the old one to crash upon opening it. The fact you have migration instructions at all on a consumer product tells me you as a PM don’t know what you’re doing. The new app, after signing in, recognizes my rooms i previously set up BUT either the new UX is terrible or there’s no way to manually set up my existing bulbs (that couldn’t be auto migrated by following your simple 10 step process that can’t be followed because it causes the old app to immediately crash). If you’re going to force all your users over by July you are going to force a lot of people to drop your app and hardware entirely. You’ve got a lot of work to do.
Painful to deal with. I bought these lights to change colors and to be able to turn lights on and off while keeping my fans running along with convenience of doing everything via an app. These lights have become so painful to deal with at times that it makes it no longer convenient. I constantly am having to open and close the app for it to connect to the lights. Some earlier set of lights I got I constantly have to turn on and off and now they have been working even worse with the new update. I’m about to switch to something more reliable because this has become a pain to deal with at this point. I spent 10 minutes trying to deal with the lights before bed. Fix your app and your programming with your light bulbs. I’d rather pay slightly more just to have something more reliable.
Get the Philips Hue System Instead!!!. Where to start. I have used this app for a couple of years as well as the old app. Both were terrible. Aesthetically ugly, and non intuitive. They somehow manage to both over complicate and over simplify everyday actions. The Home Screen widget has squared corners that don’t fit to apples curved corners so the widget is an eyesore on my Home Screen and the quick action button never work and take a solid minute to load the app itself. Inside the app there is so much wasted screen space, yet so much unnecessary clutter. I beg they hire a professional UX designer, because there seems to be almost no thought behind actions. The most annoying part is the fact that every time I open the app, I get a “Unknown error has occurred” notification. The lightbulbs themselves had issues as well. 2 of my NEW light bulbs have been randomly flickering and are uncontrollable from the wiz app. I regret not getting the Philips hue setup.
Worsening experience.. I hesitated to switch to the new app for months. My brother said he had no issues with it so I finally made the switch. For the most part it has worked as expected, but recently I have been having issues more and more frequently. I have an automation set for my bedroom lights to turn on at 8:30, which is when I set my morning alarm. It’s great to wake up with the lights on! Today I woke up before my alarm and was laying in bed, and I watched as one of my bedroom lights turned on automatically at 8:14, and the other at 8:18. Both lights are set to the same “Room” and are on the same automation schedule - On at 8:30. Yet both turned on early, but early at different times. As other’s have stated in their reviews: FIX THIS GARBAGE APP
The older app was better. I’ve been using this for almost two years now and it’s been great. The old app was so easy to use and I’d use my Alexa all the time but recently every time I opened the app it would just berate me to use the new one. So I downloaded it. Tried connecting my light to the app but wouldn’t work until I looked it up and found someone saying I had to delete my home from the other app which I ended up doing. Before then I wasn’t told to do so and got frustrated for over 15 mins trying to figure it out. I finally did and I spent an hour trying to connect my Alexa again but didn’t work. It just kept saying it couldn’t find a device on my Alexa app. I looked it up on Reddit and Alexa isn’t even compatible with this new app?? I deleted the old one and I can’t even get it back. The whole reason I got this light was to use it with my Alexa so what’s the point
Did not think we needed the V2 but it is great. Honestly the V1 of this app was already very good so I was skeptical why it is needed to build a V2. But V2 is even easier to use and program the light bulbs. It shows which light bulbs are connect (sometimes I turn them off from the switch), so it is now very clear which light is a hard off what is a soft off. Additionally, it is easier to program on/off schedule. Thirdly there is now a widget for simply turning on/off, which comes in handy. The widget could be slightly improved, because now it opens up the app when you pressed onitand the widget itself cannot change light color.
New app is terrible. If you have a functioning app that works well with your product, and for whatever reason you want to release an updated version, make sure the new one is also functional, at the very least, and working. First of all, it now takes 4 clicks to get places that should take 1 click. Want the color menu? Well, randomly click around until you find it because it’s super unintuitive now. Everything is laggy and you don’t know if your press registered or not as it takes 10 seconds to respond. In those 10 seconds, if you pressed it again, all your commands will execute 10 seconds later. Adjusting the brightness and speed in particular is a nightmare to get where you want it because you have to wait to see where on the slider your press registered, or if it registered at all. The old app was fine. All the functions were responsive and the layout served its purpose. I just want to change colors and adjust the brightness. I don’t need a graphically amazing user experience, especially if the actual reason I’m in the app doesn’t work right. It’s been several months since its release and it’s still broken. Review after bad review hasn’t gotten them to update it at all. Please prioritize the only way customers can interface with your product, please. I’m downgrading for now.
months in, I still am sticking to original app. it still works better lol. months in, I still am sticking to original app. it still works better lol I was going to give the new one a try at some point if the app devs got their act together but I can see from the recent reviews they are still ignoring the elephant in the room and gaslighting their own customers pretending all is well. so, I can continue using the original version 1 app. why? because it STILL works better after a year observing the lack of improvement on this what appears to be train wreck new version. devs. take it personal. i mean it. you should. i cant tell you how many reviews ive read saying this simple request: DO BETTER! until you do, stop insulting our intelligence and at least admit this version needs drastic improvements before telling people to leave the original app which still works far better technically.
Junk. I filled my house with ceiling lights and attached them all to the original Wiz app. I saw there was an “upgrade” to this app. When installing and migrating, it deleted everything I had setup from the first app. Yes, I have an account and I was signed in. I tried to reinstall everything using this new app and there were so many issues, I’m not going waste my time trying to explain them here. I, therefore, had to re-install everything, on the original app. The developers did not test this app before launch and want the customer to solve their problems. I’m regretting buying these products for fear that in another couple years they’ll be abandoned and I’ll be left having to buy all new fixtures again. 👍 I can’t wait. Typical of today’s apps and businesses. The original app no longer works with the current IOS update 17.0.3 Genius 👍
Really needs toggle on/off option for quick actions and shortcuts. The quick actions and shortcuts don’t allow you to toggle a light on if it is off or off if it is on. This means tediously having to creative on and off versions and running out of space for quick actions on the widgets, or shortcuts on home screens. In short time using v2 app have hit some stability issues, e.g. Widget is failing to launch app when I select to add a quick action from the widget (although it can be done if you launch app yourself and can find quick actions). Update: shortcuts/quick actions are not controlling all the selected bulbs (maybe only newer generation ones?) and cause them to gray out until app restart? On off from room control? Since only the few newer bulbs have the SpaceSense (which wasn’t mentioned in the constant nagging to upgrade to app v2) this new app doesn’t seem to have been appropriately tested and appears to be a downgrade from the v1 app.
Forced to register system to the cloud and can’t properly add new bulbs with V2.. The new version poorly forces a choice: register your home system to the cloud or suffer loss of all settings and reconfigure your entire home system (each time it loses the settings). This has occurred four times now. Just continue to use the V1 app it’s phenomenally better and more stable. Yes I’m using the most up to date app, there are no other available versions listed on the App Store, it’s up to date as possible. Since I lost all the settings when I open the V2 app I have the option of starting from scratch or starting from scratch (I’m just not going to bother while V1 just works so well) so I can’t navigate to any help or support menu because I can’t access any settings button, the only option is “Get Started” Also there’s no vacation mode anymore…? Can’t manage to find it. V2 is working better now and had some better ios shortcut integrations but it never currently works to add a new light. Light bulb gets added but then is ‘not properly connected’ so it can’t be controlled even though it appears in the app. So V1 app version is needed to add a new bulb and it works correctly every time. So after various updates, Using a mix of the two app versions is the only way I can get the functionality intended.
Useless with new app. I have been using WIZ lightbulbs throughout my house for 2 years. We had only minor issues here and there with bulbs disconnecting but for the most part they were solid with no issue… until the new update. All of my bulbs went offline. I had to manually reinstall but two of them just would not reinstall. The app tells you to contact support- a button pops up , you click on it- nothing happens. Today, ALL 8 of my bulbs are disconnected and stuck on “steampunk mode”. They are now completely useless. I will no longer be purchasing these bulbs. I gave two stars for the two years they worked perfectly (with only one needing replacement during that time), but zero for the new app and experience of it breaking my bulbs.
It works BUT is missing an extremely useful feature from V1!. The previous version had a scene mode where for each scene’s setup one could assign a picture! It was a quick way to visually remind one room’s lights color setup! I have 12 lights in my work space and had multiple scenes where I took wide angle shots of the whole room with different color bulbs setups and THAT was so useful if not essential!!! It was a GENIUS idea and It’s beyond me why the team decided to gut it out! It was definitely not a decision of a practical person! I contacted the team for no avail. Otherwise this is a nicely designed app that does what is supposed to do, even-though it is more complicated as the one before (due to the missing feature)! I wish I could re-install the one before.
Horrible App. Constantly getting “Unable To Control” message when trying to adjust a light. Randomly lights show Off but are in fact On. If you lose internet connection or restart your router you have to manually add each bulb again to be able to control them. Sometimes when adding a new bulb, it is instantly detected but you get stuck on pairing the bulb to wifi until the bulb is no longer in pairing mode and have to start over. Every update to this app never fixes a single issue. Read your reviews! So many customers have problems yet nothing gets fixed. The first app had almost zero issues. Updating to V2 was the worst choice I’ve made. There’s definitely a lot of great results but unfortunately this app rarely works when you need it to.
i recommended wiz bulbs to everyone until…. …the app stopped working correctly!! A few months ago, I started randomly getting the “unknown issue occurred” message, which intermittently would affect my lights. It got worse… showing lights as on, when they’re off, letting me select a color and turn on a light, only to say the error and say it’s off when it’s actually on?? The biggest issue motivating me to write this review is that I just purchased a new bulb for a lamp, same type of e12 i have purchased many times, only to have an extremely difficult time setting it up, and in the end it won’t even connect to the app properly!! I used to recommend wiz bulbs to everyone i know… i won’t be doing this again until this app is fixed!!! :(
They fixed the glitch but I still miss version 1. Had issues with version 2 when it first came out and people lost their minds me included. Left a bad review. They listened and they fixed it so I’m back here changing my review so I can sleep at night credit where credit due. Haven’t had issues in a while. I still like the first version interface better. Things feel hidden in version 2. Like I have to be on the look out for an Easter egg to change what color white I want. Layout of the controls the first version was simple. You didn’t have to think. It was faster to make a change especially to a different color but what eves. Im griping. As long as this new one don’t glitch I guess we are copasetic.
Why are there so many bad reviews?. This app is great. Easy to use. Those who don’t know how to use it complain. I am not one to write reviews, probably have ever only written 3 total reviews in my whole life. This one deserves a good review because there is an absurd amount of people who don’t know how to use the app and blame the software instead of themselves. Numbers are skewed but glad this app has a 4 star overall rating. Deserves a 5 to be honest, due to them adding the MOTION SENSOR ability. Grateful, blessed, underpriced yet smartly priced, makes me want to fill all the rooms in my home with these bulbs and because of the affordable price, I am more inclined to do so. Thank you Wiz!
Way to ruin a perfectly app. Adding a new lightbulb went from being a seamless process that my grandmother could do to a pile of nonsensical process. The new app does not even identify what wifi the cell is connected to so I need to type the name of my router by hand along with the password. I don’t know you guys but you had something that work well and was a easy as connecting AirPods to my iPhone to something that resembles trying to come out with a workaround inside a Linux distro from the 90’s. I’m a big time geek and seeing other fellow programmers ruining an app for the sake of giving a refresh just makes me really frustrating. Older people could not figure something like this out. I wouldn’t buy it for my parents and then have to deal with all the connectivity issues for them. A good product works seamlessly and effortlessly. The process of adding a new lightbulb is neither of them in this app.
Terrible ui and performance.. It’s a very very slow app. It will sit and think for minutes for even simple tasks like connecting to WiFi. Why isn’t there some reasonable 30 sec timeout for things? If it take longer than 30-60 seconds, it’s probably not gonna work, or the process is so slow that it’s not worth my time. This is 2024. It shouldn’t take more than a few seconds to connect and update settings. Maybe if there a lot of devices or configuration to update… then wiz owes the customer/user some sort of process bar. That’s basic ui. I can tell this app has been designed by software engineers rather than actual ux/ui people. Cant recommend this app. And this app is so bad, I can’t recommend the product, even though the product works pretty good once you’ve got it set up. Just as long as you don’t plan on changing things much.
Genuinely bad after they moved to version 2. Almost every time I will go into the app and the room/main screen is greyed out. Not even able to interact with my light. I’ll try to change the light and the buttons don’t even work. Every time I try to turn it on or change the light I get an “error” message. Sometimes I get no message, just fully greyed out and non-functional. I’ll close my app and open it multiple times and sometimes that works but most times it’s pure chance that I’m able to change my light. Very frustrating and just pointless to switch to a different app only for it to not work. I will probably just be switching back to a regular light bulb. I thought the colors were super cool and awesome for when you don’t want it super bright or pitch black but having to deal with this everyday multiple times a day just makes it not worth it.
Broken app- v1 worked perfectly, v2 a mess. It’s been over a year since this v2 of the Wiz app came out. Though it did have a nicer looking UI at first glance, the UX has struggled since installing v2. Example: I often have to tap a light multiple times, or close the app and reopen just to turn on a light, when this used to work without a hitch in the original app. Unfortunately, things have only gotten worse over time. This last two weeks, my automations have just fully stopped working. I tried to reinstall the original Wiz app out of desperation, but it crashes upon opening, so seems I’m stuck with this now. If you still are using the original app, DON’T upgrade to this one! It is 100% a downgrade from a original app and things will no longer be working the way they once were.
Bad software. Schedules and Rhythms fight one another.. I installed this app about five days ago and so far, I haven’t been able to figure it out. Well, the idea of the Circardian cycle seems appealing. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have the option to turn off the lights completely at night one possible solution to this I thought it would be to create a schedule on top of it. However, the way schedules are set up. It’s not intuitive. One would think that there would be an easier way to turn lights off. However, the way scheduling is set up toggles lights off at the end of the schedule. So you need to overlay the schedule with the cicardian rhythm. Anyway. Same exact setup for 3 different rooms and I get different results in each one of them. This app turns something as easy as turning ON and OFF a light into something impossible.
Better than other smart devices. I have tried a couple different smart device converters and I really like that these are more affordable and the app is significantly more user friendly than some of my other smart devices apps. There has been some bumps when trying to switch my plugs when I move houses and I’d like for an ability to wipe the data from a previous house so I can just start over but overall I hope these will stick around and increase in popularity since you can do so much with automation, themes and even timing for shifting lights. Overall I’m happy this is the brand I stuck with.
This app is so bad.. I mean this when I say, I’m a very, very patient person. I’ve never left a bad review for anything ever. I truly believe everyone is trying their best at all times, and it isn’t up to me to judge if they’re best is or isn’t good enough. That said, this app is honestly dogsh*t. The lights constantly drop connection for days at a time. If you have lights grouped pretty frequently one or two of them won’t respond while one will, throwing off any attempt to have a unified color scheme or even working in sync. Thank God as soon as Matter integration was released I connected all the lights to Apple Home. It isn’t great but I can turn the lights on when I need to, and they actually link. On that note, the dev’s built a “reset devices” button into the app that’s said “Stay tuned for our coming update” for 6 months and multiple updates. All of which seemingly have broke this even worse.
old app was better. I was hoping when i was forced to update the app I would be keeping at least all previous functionality the same. Unfortunately the Wiz "connected" spends more time disconnecting than it does working. Among the worst parts of the updated app is turning the lights on defaults to white, overriding whatever was previously on for settings regardless of color or brightness. Requiring me to manually select my custom color and turn that on to full blast before i can adjust its brightness. It also takes me more taps to do this than it did in the previous app. Also the widget is basically unfunctional compared to before. Extremely disappointing since the update was essentially forced and the app is no better function wise than before. I appreciate the dark mode design though.
Junk And Way Too Many Steps To Connect. The new version of this app is junk! It wasted over 1 hour of my time attempting to use the features and change the colors of my Philips Light Bulbs. The older version was slightly better as I at least had the option to save the colors I wanted and it would not go back to default. Not sure what the other review meant by using the same Apple ID, but it should have nothing to do with it when you reset, delete or start from scratch. I understand what may work for some may not work for others, but something as simple as keeping the same color you select instead of the light going back to default when you turn the switch off is ridiculous. The following is even a feature under the "Power Switch Settings" on the Wiz App; Wizclick - switch ON once for light mode 1 - switch ON twice for light mode 2 Last Status - your light will always turn back on with the last mode used So, even by clicking the setting of "LAST STATUS" and saving colors under the WIZCLICK options, the light always defaults back to the warm white. If you would like to help me resolve this issue of keeping the color I select when using this app, I would gladly update and change this review.
Step backwards. I’ve really, really tried to like this new version, but I just find myself frustrated again and again. The previous app had a intuitive flow that you could navigate pretty easily. The new app you have to hunt for settings, changing names, light control, etc. It does not flow and the ui lacks meaningful contrast to direct your attention to primary controls. Before, with a single click I could pull up various custom colors with names along with other scene options. Choosing custom colors was easier with a larger space to slide your finger around, with the new smaller touch area, you have less customizability. Unless you can memorize hex codes for colors! How useful! When I save a color now, I’m greeted with the name “custom mode” which I haven’t been able to change nor do I know if I even can. It has dark mode, which earns one star. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
HomeKit or Matter Support Lacking. The act of adding any of these accessories to HomeKit is frustrating! It would make sense to me that you support all of these systems, except HomeKit that for whatever reason fails to run the matter integration. Just boggles my mind. **Update: Adding this product to Apple Home is still impossible, I have changed and updated the home wireless, that improved adding the bulbs themselves in the app but the matter integration is still a sore point. I’ve tried multiple times with support through the app and have not found a solution to the problem of adding these bulbs simply to Apple Home. The responses are fairly generic and no promise of an actual developer to assist to review any of device information or app logs. I won’t by any more products like this if this is the future of the “smart home”!
New app doesn’t know itself. I had the legacy app, and it worked. But now I’ve been forced to upgrade. The app only recognizes one light. So I search help to “add a light” and it tells me to choose the room and the choose the “group”. Well, there is no group. I only have one light signed on for this room, and that’s not reading as a group. Can we only have one light per room? I’ve tried again and again to follow the instructions to add my bedside lamp, but the directions are clearly not up to date. They tell me to hit choices that aren’t there. This is my BEDROOM and I can’t turn this light on. Well, I can using the old-fashioned switch, but it only comes on big and bright. There’s no way to control it. My advice: don’t buy Wiz lights. It’s just a waste. Life is too short. Go buy a normal lightbulb off the light quality you plan to use the most and leave tech out of it.
Don’t even bother using this app. I am throwing all my light bulbs away. The app shows that the lights are on, when they are off. And off when they are on. Doesn’t matter how many times I press to turn off the lights, it doesn’t work. I can try to turn on the lights and it doesn’t work either. Always with “Unknown error” message. They give the option to schedule what times the lights will turn on and off but when you finally click on “save”, the “unknown error” messages shows up again. Using this app and getting their products is worthless. At the end of the day you will need to do everything manually. So you paid 10x more on a product and you can’t even use it. Update: I am so over trying to use this app. Might as well just manually turn the lights on… I was never able to save a schedule either, it gives error every single time. Such waste of time and money . Very expensive for something that does not work. Update 2: I’m simply throwing the light bulbs away. I am sitting right next to the lamp with the app giving error all the time. Took 5 minutes until it worked. I could have just done it manually. The option to schedule the lights to turn on and off NEVER work. Every time you try to save it, it gives “unknown error”
Intrusive Garbage!. I literally have never seen such aggressive and intrusive app as this just to use and control a light bulb. It felt way too off for me as I first noticed no matter what it wouldn’t let me change the country/region even when typing it in there was no way to save and continue. Another turn off is allowing location permissions etc along with browsing that’s totally ridiculous and that I will not do just for the sake of using and controlling a light bulb. I wasted almost $30 bucks on this garbage only to find out creating and using an account is the only way to use it along with granting them dumb permissions that shouldn’t be necessary which I will never do. The app goes bye bye no sooner than this review is sent and back to the store where I bought this garbage to return and find another that’s worth what it cost. Do not buy unless you don’t mind letting the app intrude on your privacy!
So bad I had to reinstall the old app.. I’ve tried getting used to the new controls and set up, but my area often experiences power outages which basically resets my lights and loses connection. The set up is infuriating and inconsistent. And it hurts my eyes when the process takes over 5 minutes to set up, while the lights are blinking repeatedly. So I decide to reinstall the old version, which fortunately still exists. Within a MINUTE, my lights are set up perfectly. No issues, no long wait times, just a simple click and done. Don’t bother with this new app. It’s not worth the trouble and becomes a waste of time. I don’t know what it is these days about companies ruining perfectly fine features for the sake of “customer experience” when they just make it worse! If it isn’t broken, it doesn’t need fixing or improvement.
V2 with issues that might be worse than v1. There seems to be a 1 in 10 chance that when I open the wiz app that it works well, 9/10 times it won’t connect to my bulb, spits out “Unknown issue occurred Something went wrong, please try again.” Every. Single. Time. If I hadn’t set up the bulb on build v1, I’m fairly confident that it would take up to a week to set up the bulb in its current format. I don’t know if it is an issue with the bulb compatibility but I had fewer issues on v1. Which stinks, I had to switch apps just for this to continue and become worse, at least from my perspective. Update: After a recent update, software hasn’t missed connection, but I still constantly get a pop-up saying “Unknown Issue occurred Something went wrong please try again” even if it does work which is clunky and annoying.
Give me back the old app!. It takes so much MORE effort to change the settings (colors, brightness, and individual lights in rooms) with the new app, and most of the time it’s super glitchy and is impossible to turn down the lights. I REALLY miss how easy it was to use the old app. I want it back. This new app is absolute trash. Update: I have 11 of these bulbs and have used for years now with the old app and was extremely happy. Instead of fixing the new app after several months, it seems Wiz is more focused on responding to negative reviews without any actual offer of resolution or hope than resolve these issues others complain about as well. Damage control, and it doesn’t look good on them. Lost me as a customer after being very loyal because their app is garbage and they won’t do anything about it.
Not the worst app ever, but not far off. I love the concept of this app. If it worked that would be great. I constantly tells me there is no connection which is just not true. The app is worse than the last one which also struggled with stability. It will frequently only link to one or two in a large group of lights. I have to force quit and restart the app almost every time I try to use it. The lights are great. Wish the app was too Edit- several months later downgrading to 1 star for zero improvement. I’ve invested too much in the bulbs to give up but if there is a third party developer that can make something that works PLEASE DO. This is unusable Yet another update with zero improvement months later. Absolutely terrible. Please some developer make an app for these great lightbulbs that is stable and functional! Worst app that I continue to use because I’ve spent too much on the bulbs to walk away.
Keeps losing my house. STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP— updated July ‘23. There are not enough awful things I can say about this app. Suggesting every negative reviewer message with tech support to fix an app that is clearly beyond help at this point has lost me as a customer. I’m replacing the entire house. Never again. I will actively go out of my way to keep people away from this product since it’s clear you don’t care about rolling a defective app back. New version consistently forgets my house, prompts me to do a whole new setup and has no prompt to log in again—to find my existing house. I have gone back to the old version that actually works. If you ever stop supporting it, I will stop buying these bulbs. I have already stopped recommending to friends. This so called upgrade is an epic failure. Harder to use. Buggy. Just bad. Update in May 23–still awful.
When marketing takes over the app development. The WiZ v1 app is perfect! It’s an actual functional app designed to control your smart lights. This new app is horrible marketing garbage. The focus of the app has switched from controlling your existing lights to pushing you to purchase more things from them. My desire is to control my lights, not to be bombarded by ads. Horrible. And why are you shoving that garbage down your existing customers’ throats? I’m already a customer and within the WiZ system. Of course I’m going to continue to buy WiZ bulbs - if using them is enjoyable and functional. If your app turns to trash then I’m going to get rid of your entire system. Maybe focus your marketing on getting new customers instead of angering your existing ones with a trash app. Maybe focus on building good products and apps, and your existing customers will stay happy and continue buying products.
