Terrible game. Have these developers even figured out who watches this show? It’s not aimed at gamer guys in their 20s, it’s for kids mostly. So why then is this game so difficult? The original game from 2003 was also difficult, but times change and kids today can play any game they want. So why make this so hard, it makes them switch games? Environment is okay I guess, animation is passable, death cutscene is obnoxious! Very annoying controls on an iPad. Unlike the series this game doesn’t have any charm. It‘s really an unlikable waste of time and $9. I’d like a refund if the developers read this. Not worth it to play, and definitely don’t waste money on it.

Is it the game or my device?. The game is great so it worths the money so far but my iPad keeps rebooting whenever I enter the game for a while. This problem has started occurring when I got to the Robot Sandy level. I tried restarting the game again and again but it didn’t solve the problem. I also updated my software but it didn’t solve the problem as well. I don’t want to blame the game itself because it might be my device’s problem. I also think it might be weird to address this problem since it’s more of a technical problem. However, I want to inform the developer in case there might be any useful information. Thank you very much!

Nostalgia in every way!. Honestly the game functions as I’d expect it to on mobile and I love the graphics and layout, but I feel like there are a couple bugs including cut scene glitches. But I gotta say, this game does a fantastic job at bringing back memories. There is a lot to love about this platformer, and I am so glad to see it on mobile now. The PS4 version of SpongeBob: BfBB Rehydrated was exactly like the original game in almost every single way but with very impressive graphics. I can’t wait to see where this game leads on mobile. It has a bright future!

Was fun for a few days, now it won’t open. I really enjoyed the nostalgia of playing the game for the first few days. Now every time I go to open the game it gets stuck on the Nickelodeon page. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. My game is up to date as well as my phone. I have restarted and closed out of the game, as well as tried to redowload the game and nothing will open it up anymore. This just happened today, I purchased the game a few days ago and this is disappointing me. I spam tapped the screen, and disconnected from my wifi and reconnected. Nothing works 🙄 I only play on my iPhone I will try to do the backup.

It’s okay.. So this game is amazing. But in Spongebob’s Dream the crusty crab level is just impossible. Also, after you defeat robot Spongebob and you go inside him, and after you go on the trampoline, when you try to go on the 2nd trampoline, however, before you even go on it, it makes you die. Like, that is just so unfair. That is why I’m giving this app a 4 star review. But everything else is great! Oh, and 1 more thing, can you please try to add more places on this game? That would make a lot more fun.👍👍👍

Amazing Port to iOS. I have played this game on GameCube, Switch, PS4, Xbox One X, and now my iPod Touch 7th gen, iPad Air 5th gen, and my iPhone 13. This is one of the games that identified my childhood. The only thing I have found so far with this port is that when I defeated King Jellyfish I did not get the spatula even though I picked up the spatula after defeating the King Jellyfish. This game works fantastic with M1 and A15 chipsets. Love with the Xbox One, PS4, and PS5 controllers. Touch screen controls are great too. Graphics are incredible.

You just met the Spongenator! 🧽🐿. Wow developers! Thank you so much for recreating this beloved game, I’m so glad you guys made it available to play on IOS devices. When I first downloaded the game, nothing but nostalgia poured all over me. I think I’m saying this on behalf of everyone, but this was the first that got me into gaming. The only thing I suggest is making multi-player available for IOS, now that I defeated the whole game! Between the graphics and nostalgic feel, it’s a deservedly 5/5! Since I enjoyed this remodel so much, I definitely want to shed some light on another adored Spongebob game. If you are considering another to remodel, please let it be Lights, Camera, Pants!

Pretty Good. It looks amazing but confusing I think am just bad at these type of games but I would not know what to do in this game like sometimes I think it’s just a side quest but then I realize I had to do it but gameplay wise it’s good Sandy’s part with the lasso it doesn’t tell you to hold jump to do the thing it’s fun but takes a lot of time to realize what am supposed to do

Better than expected!. I have always wanted to play this game, but I don’t currently own a console so this was my only option. When I finally downloaded and installed the game I was completely blown away by the graphics. It definitely seems like a pretty decent version of the game and I can’t wait to beat it! This game is very nostalgic for me because I used to play it a lot as a kid.

This is the best but for 1 thing.. This game overall is one of the best Mobile games to exist, all but one issue: my save file got “corrupted.” When I joined sponge bob a couple hours ago, and loaded my spongebob file, it continuously said “ERROR failed to save game.” If there is a way to fix this or if I’m doing something wrong, please let me know but still overall and awesome game.

Absolutely well!. I love SpongeBob so I got this game on Xbox and I’ve been playing it a lot I found out it was on mobile and I was very excited I wanted to purchase it for myself and I was really happy try try it out I can’t believe it’s only nine dollars I mean that’s a good deal I’m really happy I finally got this game on mobile and it’s really cool it’s also very interesting and it just looks a lot more better on mobile it also it’s just confusing at the buttons sometimes I press the wrong one but I don’t care it’s really good game

REVIEW. This is a pretty amazing port all things considered, I’m playing this in an iPhone SE and so far have not run into any frame rate issues so far. This is the only port so far to have quality settings, which is a blessing, especially for older devices. All the achievements are accounted for, and the controls are as good as they can be. It’s really surprising that this is even better then the switch port or even the Xbox port, but I’m glad it’s here. For $8.99 it’s well worth the price.

Love game but one issue. SomI love this game it’s really fun but there is one issue that I had on sand mountain when I was beating bubble buddy’s time near the end of the mountain SpongeBob turned around and I thought that’s weird it didn’t do that when I first went down the mountain and then SpongeBob turned back around and by then bubble buddy’s timer ran out but otherwise the game is amazing and I recommend it

Overall a Great Port, However.... They did a bang up job with porting the game to mobile devices, however there are a couple caveats and that being on the Apple TV, the first level’s performance is rather poor, could we get an option to turn off the grass vegetation for this level? Also the game is somehow in an improper resolution for my 1620x1080p TV display. Fix these and you’ll get a five star review :D

Weird Save Problem. First off, the game plays well and is a great port. I remember playing this game as a kid and love it as much now as o did then. However I am having a save issue after getting about 2 hours in the game. I saved and when I went back 30 mins later the save says I have 40 golden spatulas and 55 socks. The save also won’t load. Not sure what happens but help would be appreciated. I don’t wanna invest anymore time and it happen again. Is this a known issue?

NOSTALGIA. This is my first time writing a review on any app, and I’ve had the App Store for 6-7 years! I played this game when I was a kid for hours and missed playing it. I was shocked to find it in the App Store after playing it on my friend’s switch. I bought it right away, plugged in my rotor riot controller and beat this game in 6-8 hours. I don’t remember this game being so easy and short, but then again this game was made for kids. The most difficult part of the game was definitely Spongebob’s Dream. It is satisfying to destroy enemies and collect the shiny objects. The graphics look amazing on Max settings on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. No lag or slowdowns at all. I highly recommend this game for any one reliving their childhood.

Runs better than I had thought + impressions. Surprisingly, the game runs better on mobile platforms compared to Nintendo Switch. Overall, the whole experience is just as crisp and smooth like the original game that released in 2003. Satisfying platforming physics and combat, nice interactions and great challenge make this a worthwhile experience. If you’re going to go into this game thinking it is a real remake, then you will be left disappointed, since it is really just the old game with an HD paint job. Overall, it is still a very enjoyable experience and I honestly think it is still the best Spongebob game in existence. I do have a few suggestions though, one is having an option for a fixed camera mode and the other is being able to customize button layouts on screen. Overall, fans of platformers and Spongebob should really check this one out.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GAME AND GREAT PORT. I bought this game the first day it released on steam. I played it all and loved it. (There was a couple socks I couldn’t find in sand mountain but that’s ok) I then talked about maybe porting the original ps2 version to mobile because I thought the remake would be too demanding but this is so much better then I wanted. There’s only one problem I have with this game. The port itself is fantastic and runs great on my iPhone 11, the problem is it’s an older version of the game. It’s before the patch with mr krabs and being able to replay bosses. If you could please update to the latest patch that would be fantastic and this will be a perfect port! Great job!

Update packages require the full game?. Edit: taking off another star because these updates really shouldn’t require reinstalling the entire game. Other large games work around this. I have to take off a star only because while these updates are great versus no updates, I know other larger sized games don’t force you to download the whole game again. Not all developers have their updates slimmed down like this, but many do. I feel like I am downloading the whole .ipa file again.

Good but needs Further Updates. I played the original game back in 2003. And, I recently played this on PS4. Once I seen that this was coming to The App Store, I was so pumped. Once I started playing, I didn’t start to have problems right away. Although, I experienced crashes halfway into The Jellyfish Fields Level. I love this game other than the crashes. And I would like some Crashing Issues resolved for my Review to be Five Patrick Stars and for my Experience to improve.

Best game to ever hit mobile! (And all Time). I don’t think anything could ever top this nostalgia packed re enhanced mobile port. This is everything you want and more in a game, funny dialogue, great game mechanics, and great story line. As a long time Spongebob fan I couldn’t be happier to be able to do it all over again! Worth every penny. (Also please consider adding in multiplayer horde mode just like there is for the other platforms)

An Amazing Take on a Cult Classic! (with minor bugs). First off, this game is perfect and the fact that they brought it to mobile was mind blowing to a point where I had to get it again... BUT. Every time I try to play, the game freezes a bit when I receive a text/notification. I think this will be fixed in a simple update but other than that, the gameplay feels smooth and the controls were the best they could be for a mobile game (controller support if you don’t like it). SPONGETASTIC!!! Developers just need to pop a few bubbles....

Want more. This is amazing. First off I never expected to see a console game of this quality on mobile. Mobile games are fun.. however this.... this, is where the real fun of gaming on the go is. I wish for more like this.. like I hope this app succeeds so more developers can follow suit and release their games on this. And make it fun like handygames did. As for (handygames) you guys are awesome! thank you for this game and to your team for the time a hard work it took to make this. Was blown away by how smooth and intuitive the game is on mobile. Hats off to you 👍🏼

Reliving my Childhood on a phone is so epic!. I never got the release of this game for my Xbox one but I ended up preordering this version since I just got my iPhone 12 Pro Max as well as my Elite Series 2 with a Moga phone clip that connects my phone and controller together. This combination allows for the most epic of gaming experiences, like playing this game or even COD mobile. Let me tell you how amazed I am with how good this game is and how polished it is on this port! Handy games I gotta HAND (ba dum tsss) it to ya eh. This is a really quality and I’m so excited to play those boss fights that were cut from the original PS2 version. So happy !! Worth every penny!

Absolutely love it. Brings out the childhood nostalgia.. It’s good. What can I say? This game was a huge part of my childhood along with other SpongeBob titles such as The Movie Game, Creature From the Krusty Krab, Atlantis Squarepantis, and so much more. I would really love it if Handy Games would remake another classic SpongeBob game title. I would buy in an instant.

It has a glitch that is really anoying. Ok first off I have to get to the end and it is so hard second there’s a glitch that I will tell it’s where if your in downtown Bikini bottom and you have sandy you can like when you use the glider thing it sometimes makes you float in the air and you have to reset the game and get back in it and that’s the only glitch pls fix that and don’t respond just fix all the glitches (but it is still really good)

A really well done mobile port than its Nintendo cousin. I’m a big fan of Spongebob and this game. I was on the Hype Train of its release and seen the bumpy development of its releases, I of course owned the PC port, very superior than the Console release. But what really surprises me is that this Port on mobile blows away the switch port in so many levels. Getting a stable 60FPS and the gift of the iPhones beautiful display. Extremely recommend to pick up and help send a message to big devs to port their premium games to mobile as well

Brings back memories. I had this game on the PlayStation when I was like eight or nine years old and I don’t have a PlayStation no more so I never played this game sense and now this is on the App Store this is even more awesome brings back my childhood I am 21 now! Lol I can’t believe it’s been that many years since I’ve played this game thank you guys so much for reliving are childhoods!!

A lot of glitches. Game needs to be redone and freshened for iPhones. Game constantly lags, glitches, enemies don’t register hits, buttons don’t function correctly. I could go on and on. Also, better settings options, I would love to be able to change the button size, I’m pretty sure that’s one of my biggest issues. Hoping they see this over all the positivity so that way the game can actually be enjoyable for everyone and not just a certain select few

Good but so hard. I like the game but you should really make sure in like the section with the marble it’s so hard next time you should at least put a timer on where were you at least have it on and you can always covered up the holes it’s so hard including the one will you have to move and go to the hall to the hole and get the switch so annoying.

I want my money back.. Game won’t even open. I am on the newest iphone. iPhone 12 Pro Max and it specifically says this game is supported on my phone. I’ve tried opening and closing it 7 times now and it can’t even get past the nickelodeon logo when you first click on the app. What a complete waste of $8. I could’ve just bought this game on console instead. Don’t waste your money, find the nostalgia on ps4.

Cool Game But Problems. Hey when I was sandy she kept flying in the air. Fix this. Also when I was SpongeBob I was shooting the robots but they wouldn’t die and they just kept freaking coming. First of all, I’m not saying this is a waste of time, I’m saying to play this when ur bored but if you fix the bug, this game should be #1! Second of all, Patrick kept walking off the world for some reason and I couldn’t stop. If you are reading this developers, please answer me!

Absolutely amazing game. This is a game that I’m super passionate about played it a lot as a child growing up this was one of my most loved games and when they remade it I couldn’t believe it and now having it on mobile devices is truly pretty awesome wasn’t sure how the game would play but the game plays pretty good I think they did a wonderful job with this 😎⭐️

Great game! Here’s my request.. I like the game. The graphics are great, the storyline is nice and the characters sound like the show. But I think an improvement could be making the movement controls (all of them) less sensitive. There have been a few times I have had to complete tasks repeatedly because of the controls.

Amazing.. Never have I ever thought that I would see this game on my phone but it gives me a lot of emotions Honestly. I used to play this game with my dad on the PlayStation 2 before he got deported and to even play it on the phone is something I don’t think he would have even thought of either. The game is amazing on the phone. It actually feels like the game is better on the phone. Only issue I noticed is a lil glitch when you get a notification but nothing too crazy or annoying. But it still makes me so happy that I can play this game on my little phone compared to a PlayStation 2.

Fantastic job, just needs the patches from console and PC versions. Really well made mobile version of the game, but I noticed that the patches that were added to the console and PC versions like refighting bosses, Mr. Krabs’s shiny object requirements being lowered, and the theatre having actual concept art in it are not in this version. Will you be able to add those to this version at some point soon? It’ll make getting 100% way better.

The best game in the app store. I remember playing this when I was super little. My siblings and I loved playing it on the gamecube so to see this game in the app store is really crazy. I love it so much and the game runs so well. It is just as fun as I remember it. It is nice to relive a part of my childhood again. This game was my favorite from the past besides The Simpsons Hit and Run but this is for sure my favorite game in the app store now.

Good game but I’d like to Report a bug. Hello this is my first time playing that game and I love it. I grew up off of the movie game both on game boy and console. On the bikini bottom sandy can use her rose to slow her fall... the problem is some of the time she just RISES instead and I can’t get her out of the animation so I just see her rise to the top of the map SO HIGH to where I can see a small square which is the whole level map below lol. It’s an interesting bug but makes sandy’s movement mechanics broken. Thanks for reading

It’s fun but really annoying. It’s a fun game but it’s really annoying at time and sometimes my iPad would crash whenever a level would load and that didnt make it any better also on the first jellyfish level a golden spatula isn’t there it’s not a big deal since I beat the game it’s just annoying that it’s not there so I can’t get every spatula. Also on the first level I could not figure out how to drain the lake and the Krusty krab robot level really needs a tutorial it took me hours to beat it

Best Platformer on the App Store. You'll get at least like 15 hours of playtime from the game, the graphics look better than anything else on iOS. I feel like the game is easily worth the $30 i spent getting it on steam a few years back, so for $5 it was a no-brainer and now I have something to do in the car, even without needing wifi. This gane is a great platformer, I played the original 20+ years ago as a child, and the game holds up amazingly. The game is stylized just like the original, but the graphics are far better, with it's graphical quality closely mirroring the TV show. Just buy it and you'll have a blast.

Controls. Please make it to wear we can make custom controls. The 2 options aren’t very compatible with how i like to hold my phone and being able to just move the analog/ buttons or even having the option to make make them bigger would make the gameplay a night and day difference for me. i find myself adjusting the camera view instead of moving the character because I feel like the analog is too small and is stuffed into the corner of the screen too far. Other than that i love this game, Playing it; i get a sense of nostalgia because i use to play this on the ps2 growing up

Beyond frustrating. This game is seriously rage inducing, This game makes me want to throw my phone at a wall. Everything looks amazing and there’s an awesome nostalgic feel but I seriously feel like they chose style over substance. Here’s an example of an unrealistically difficult level. In SpongeBobs dream the Krusty Krab level is just impossible. For the consoles I imagine it’s easy because it’s easier to control with a controller other than 5 buttons smushed together on your phone. There’s no way to maneuver SpongeBob through that level. It’s just impossible to the point that I gave up completely. And this game is made for kids. Also not every level is like this there’s just a few that are way more difficult than the others.

Simply great. Ok ok this is the best spongebob game in the world it deserves five stars. It’s Worth the money if your fan of SpongeBob this game is for you. I recommend playing on mobile it’s not laggy and great quality. There were some issues but they fixed them and now I play every day all day long.

Golden spatula gone!?. In the mermalair when I reset the computer I fell of the edge and respawned and the spatulas was gone I check to see if I got it already and I didn’t I talk to the computer again and it kept telling me the same thing “mermaidman needs your help he’s in the villain containment area” I can’t get it witch is really annoying other than that the game is really fun and brings back a lot of memorys🙂

i’m ready!. i really love this game… even with its plethora of bugs (most which are quite funny 😄). but, the major thing that keeps me from giving this game five stars is the fact that it REQUIRES internet to play—something you wouldn’t expect from a pay-to-download game. i mainly play this on my tv, and — after experiencing a recent internet outage in my area — realized i was unable to play the game AT ALL (it stays stuck in the ‘nickelodeon’ screen). other paid pay-to-download games keep a local save on your device to prevent this from happening… not this one. hopefully, this will be fixed/implemented in a future update.

SPONGETASTIC. WOW!!! Okay let me start off by saying this is simply incredible!! This game looks better on apple devices than it does on console. There are so many options to choose from to enhance the graphics and frame rate. This game runs at a smooth 60fps but can be lowered if need be. Epic graphics on a phone port of Battle For Bikini Bottom is incredible to me! I’m glad I decided to try this out and I do not regret this purchase. I was afraid it would be a bad port but I am sold. It runs so smooth, and the graphics are absolutely insane and all for only 8.99$. The touch screen controls aren’t too hard to learn but I would recommend a xbox controller to make it easier. There are some issues with the opening cinematic where the voice acting doesn’t match up with the mouths moving BUT that’s okay because the rest of the game is so polished and smooth! Well Done!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend this to any Spongebob fan! It’s nice to relive your childhood in all this mobile glory. Well done job Handy Games! Literally blown out of the water at how well this was done.

Great game. Using an iPhone 7 and it runs great. My only issue is it doesn’t recognize my Bluetooth game pad I originally bought for Minecraft. Hopefully you guys work a bit more on gamepad support I understand it’s a new release I hate using touch controls ! Anyway good work, please I just want to play it with my controller Edit: I tried my game pad again after a few days of playing touchscreen and it works flawlessly. Great game looks beautiful. I don’t have the nostalgia a lot of people do for it I’m 29 and never heard of it, so my review isn’t clouded by nostalgia. Anyway love it thanks for the port I hope you do more

Just amazing. I was literally shocked that it was coming to mobile. I have been playing this game on the ps2 and now, I can play on my phone! The game itself looks AMAZING! Game runs smoothly, graphics are great, and it just fun to play. Touch controls are easy to use but I recommend using a controller for a better experience. My phone (iPhone 8) does get hot when playing. I recommend to lower your graphics, but other than that, I’m just glad that I finally can play my favorite childhood game on the go. It dream come true!

I never saw the day. I can’t believe one of my favorite childhood games has not only been remastered but has also came to mobile! In good quality too and not a knock off 2D puzzle game! Although the game does tend to make your phone hot even with lowered settings (iPhone XR) I usually keep an ice bag behind my phone in a towel and use my PS4 controller. (Yes this is also controller compatible too! Definitely worth!

WHY NOT ON MACOS.. i literally paid for the game and you could easily implement a mouse and keyboard and it would work flawlessly or even not! I could use a controller! WHYYY? Update : you guys said it’s meant for mobile devices but tv isn’t mobile but macbook IS mobile. It’s a great game but my ipad doesn’t have active cooling so I can’t play at highest settings. Steam version doesn’t support macOS neither. You could at least not remove the iOS version from mac appstore.

Game doesn’t work. Every time I turn it on and try to play my device just turns off and I waited a long time for it. It turns off when it’s loading, and whenever I go to another map. Can I get a refund?

Crashes and reboots AppleTV during boss fight. Last review that explained the problem in detail was deleted, I was going to change it to 3 stars, but I guess not.

Game is great but not controller support. I have a PS5 controller and it does not work.

Great Mobile Port. Handy Games has done a excellent job porting this console game that running Unreal Engine 4 to mobile device. At first I was be worry about this port going to end up like the switch version. But I can say this version is better then the switch version. This mobile port runs and look better then the switch version. If you looking for a portable version of BFBBR definitely pick up this version of the game over the switch. It at a great price. The game had everything that the other version do beside the weak multiplayer and this version has a graphic options that the PC version still doesn’t have yet. If you an Apple TV 4k user, you can run this on epic resolution and antialiasing while the rest on medium and get a great looking game at a Solid 60fps If you an IPhone XR,XS,XSMax or IPad Air 3, you can run this on epic everything and get a solid 60fps The only issue I’ve noticed is the shading and lighting are a downgrade to the other version and there are some weird shadows on some objects that none existent on the other version. A major issue is iCloud save will not transfer over to other devices. Or will crash the game when saving on a save file that has been saved on another device.

BEST GAME IN THE WORLD. I play this at least once or more everyday. Wanna know why? 1. I’m a HUGE fan of SpongeBob SquarePants 2. The game is SUPER fun! 3. Switch Controllers. I can’t progress the game because I brought the game on Apple TV and I don’t have an Xbox controller just an Nintendo switch controller so I can’t press RB so I can’t get out of the first room. Please fix this in an update! :(

Great games. Ye im a huge spongebob fan and this is game is impressive in my opinion. I just hope that there would be another DLC of this spongebob games.

Issues!. Was great when we first played it but now there is no actions button and it won’t let us start a new game because it won’t recognize us tapping the screen to begin!

Perfect!. This is a cool game! I really love this game because the levels are fun and creative, the story is great, and I’m happy this came to mobile! But there is one thing missing which is Multiplayer and the new cosmic shake game. I think those things will bring more people to play this game. other than that, this is a masterpiece!

One of the best games I’ve played in 2021. But has some bugs. This game was very fun to play, but the level when you have to switch to sandy to glide but if she’s on a ledge There’s a chance of her just flying forever and you can’t do anything but restart from last check point, other then that the games great I love the bosses and I’m hoping they make more games. The games about six hours long but could be longer if your looking for socks.

Please read my whole review! (NEEDS AN UPDATE). On the goo lagoon level where you reach mr. Krabs. The 3 moving tiki heads is bugged, if you jump on them your hit box is toooooo big and knocks you straight off, and if that doesn’t kill you. The BUG where you jump on the first one instantly kills you and plays the death scene even though YOU DIDNT TOUCH ANYTHING!!! not only that but Mrs puff spatula mission has no way to kill the robot spawner and get back. Once you destroy it the length to jump back is way to big and is unreachable. Plus it thinks you are out of bounds when your not. This is within my first 8 hours of gameplay. I’ve tried atleast 40 times on each of these spatulas even trying different ways to get it. I got so fed up I just continued and came back. Still couldn’t get em. Other than these two bugs the game is great and playable for the most part and graphics look spectacular and brings back child hood memories

Keyboard support. This game is absolutely amazing but it would be perfect if it supported the magic keyboard & trackpad on iPad

100% recommend. This games graphics are so amazing and all the colours make for an amazing and exiting game, It really just hits different.

Mobile rip off. Played this for quite a while everything seemed fine until I realized there are parts of the game missing and is full of so many glitches it’s unplayable happen to me that I was lasso in the air or stuck in the floor or mid air froze …. It’s 2023 and it seems it’s the year of games unfinished and having player test just to get patch’s so 5 months later have a finished project.

Game is fun but can’t load my saved content. Just as great as I remember on console, but was pretty far in when my screen went totally black and I’ve now tried to get into my saved game and it loads yet never fully gets back to my saved process. Really disappointing would definitely recommend not getting the mobile and buying the console version. Kind feels like I wasted $9.

Save file corrupted while in lighthouse. Played the game for about 4-5 hours and then while I was in the lighthouse the game went all black and saved the file. Now every time I try to open my save file the game won’t open and after having google the issue I have to start all over again. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!

Needs for the game. Can you guys add a battery life saver to the game. And also can you guys make it just open world, it’s great and all, but having to be open world would make it interesting in a good way and also add more building and make it more open. And add a shop to buy costumes and or items.

Great simply. In my opinion. I think that the game is really good and you should try it !! I love the art style of the environment and the animation of the characters, I like spongebob that’s why I brought it and because I saw that it looked like a good game so why not? Very well done thank you for doing this game!

Needs updates. There are a few glitches that should be fixed. The game occasionally kicks me out. Also, the kelp vines level is very tough for me. It’s very dark and the path seems way too thin and you’re going too fast. Other than that, I do really enjoy this game. I love the characters and bosses.

Animated grass. I love this game with all of my heart, I grew up playing this on my ps2 as a kid and seeing it remastered brings back memories but one thing I noticed on pc is that the grass moves with the wind and pushes out of the way as the character walk through it. It does not seem to be the Same on mobile.

Fix the controls. It's a great game but it's hard to control the character which makes it very frustrating. Simple things take longer than they need to.

I’m uncultured. I have never played, watched, or really ever been interesting in anything to do with spongebob, but this game is actually really good! I’d recommend playing with a controller, though. It’s pretty hard with mobile controls! Tbh, this version looks and runs even better than the Nintendo switch version.

Cutscenes not in sync. I’m only a few minutes in and so far it plays very well, but during the intro, the audio is not synced properly with the cutscenes. Otherwise this would be a 5 star port so far. (Seriously though THQNordic deserves praise for making a proper mobile port like this 👍)

Excellence. I couldn’t believe how good the game looks the graphics phenomenal and the games runs so smooth I run it on iPhone14 and wow I can run it on full graphic settings and highest frame rates the only bad thing about it the voices don’t match the lips when they talk

Great game!!. Amazing game play!! This being back so many memories. The game is the exact same as the old version and it’s perfect. Controls can be frustrating at times. The buttons on the right are not well placed. Being able to move the controls would be great

Day one patch. The games great so far but my only complaint is the version of this game has the day one patch meaning the mr krabs spatulas are harder to get I hope that an update for the game comes out that gives it the most recent version of the game but other then that the games great

Great port!. This game runs very well on my iPhone XR, only a few frame rate issues here and there. Been playing with a razer kishi controller, but the touch controls are also good. I never played this game growing up, so it’s nice to be able to play now right from my pocket basically!

Spongerific!. Terrific game! This is probably the best game I’ve ever played! Although I have one issue. I’ve collected all 100 spatulas, but in game, I only have 99. If you guys could fix this, it would be really helpful. Please and thank you! Anyway, good game and 5 stars!

Worth the money. Never played it till it came out on mobile. Wow excellent game my son will love it. I’m loving it very well made can’t wait to play more levels. It’s late here why I’m doing the review I’ll definitely play it tomorrow more. Thanks for the nice game.

Straight Classic. Man I Love this game so much since it was on the PS2. Now it's boosted like heck at it looks so good especially on IOS i even laughed at these animations you threw out during the cuts scenes. Overall Excellent Game a must buy if haven't played or have ;) (no exaggeration either)

Nostalgic, but Awesome!!. I have to say, they made some really good improvements to this game. But in the end, it’s just like the one i have played on the PS2. Brings back Memories. I have a suggestion, is it ok to add online Multiplayer to the mobile versions as well?

Perfect port. 3d collect-a-thon platformers are my favorite genre. Simple phone games Dont hold my attention so I really enjoyed playing a game with this much complexity on my phone. it was a genius idea to port this game and they achieved it well. And it has very thoughtful quality options so my iPhone dosent overheat.

Great port - The Sponge Battles On. Decided to get it just to see how it ran and it runs great! Had one or two issues at first but they were patched quickly. Controller support is great and the touch controls work fine if you need to use them. Game looks great. Definitely recommend getting it.

Help ;-;. So I had 75 golden spatulas and I was really excited because I thought I would be able to do the boss fight but when I went to the chum bucket and tried to go into planktons lab it still said that I needed more spatulas to do so, now I am stuck

Not sure if worth the price. I remember playing this game on the Nintendo GameCube when I was a little kid. It looks pretty nice on the IPhone 11 Pro Max and runs well. For $9 however, it’s pretty pricy. I’m happy to pay for it because nostalgia, but to someone new I’m not sure $9 is worth it.

Amazing Port for an Amazing Game!. The game is great! It’s runs better than the switch version and that makes it a great alternative! My only complaint is that there is currently a bug with my save file corrupting on my iPhone 12 Pro Max but no stars will be removed since you can fix it in a patch. Great job!

Good but kinda got bored.. Crashes on iPhone 13 Pro. The game worked fine on my iPhone 8. My iPhone 13 Pro is a different story. It freezes every time I try and change settings and when I’m in game it runs at an extremely poor frame rate and eventually crashes. It ran perfect on my iPhone 8 so what gives? Please fix. It’s kinda depressing how my “flagship” phone can’t run this game.

THIS IS PERFECT!!!!!!!. I’ve played this game on mobile since launch and it runs smoothly and it feels like I’m playing the game on a console and this game is easy as pie and its comedic at times and this game is a 10/10 in my opinion p.s keep up the good work :)

DOES NOT WORK WITH APPLE TV REMOTE. I bought this for my kids only to find out you can’t play it without an external controller. I contacted the developers, asking if it was possible to play with the Apple TV remote and they just replied with insults and stating “ we didn't want to start the marketing text with a "needs controller to play." It should be pretty clear from the screenshots that this game is too complex to be played with the limitations of the TV remote.” THEN they told me to go buy a controller to “invest” in my kids. The ARROGANCE and lack of integrity of these developers is mind boggling.

No audio?. I’m hoping to get a response. I love this game and I really want to play it but it’s hard to be interested when their is no audio in the game. Their are volume knobs in the settings so I’m guessing it’s supposed to! Super weird. I already tried restarting my device as well as testing audio with other apps. Works fine. I also made sure the audio tabs were all the way up in the app and still nothing. I also restarted the app multiple times! Help?

Better and more optimized than the switch port 😎. This is incredible how Handy Games managed to give Battle for Bikini Bottom rehydrated a more optimized 60fps performance than the switch port which ran at 30-20fps. Good job making this port a REAL portable rehydrated experience :))

You need an analog controller for the latter part of the game. Overall good experience. The ending is pretty unsatisfying. Gameplay is nice so long as you have an analog controller (which is absolutely necessary for some parts of the game) and runs better than expected on my iPhone X. Settings allow you to adjust quality and frame rate to optimize for your hardware.

Working on iPhone 13 now. Did have issues but it seems to be working most of the time now and the developer says they are working on it which is cool

Great Fun!!. This game brings back childhood memories for me with its references to early seasons episodes throughout. The gameplay is smooth, and works great with a PS4 controller! Highly recommend if anyone is looking for a fun mobile game to play at home or on the go

Fix down in the swamp. I would probably rate this five stars if it weren’t for this one thing in kelp forest. The button next to the freeze fruit in the swamp is missing, and the grate with the spatula activated by said button is already lifted without the spatula as if it had already been collected. But it hasn’t been! Now I can’t 100% the game. Either the game hates my phone or you screwed up.

Good but needs some fixing. First it loaded took awhile second sometimes of the time my game crashes when I’m doing something and it would be awesome if you would add more characters and to unlock them it’s a story mission like gray could clam up walls mr karps doble the money just some ideas

Better than the switch?!?!?!. Yes. This is better in mobile than on switch. But, it sends down your battery so fast. But I don’t care. This is a fun game!

Childhood. I played the original game on my GameCube back in the day and now I can play the remastered version on my mobile device and it can even be played offline! Thankful to have one of my favorite games in my pocket!

GREAT. I remember playing this game on the PS2 growing up as a kid. So everything when I play the mobile version with my controller it's like I already know what to do in the games because memories just come back to my head.

Excellent game minor glitch issues. I’m really enjoying this game but a recurring issue I am having has to do with sandy’s lasso ability. I’ll hold the lasso button but instead of flying across like normal I’ll fly straight up without being able to cancel or anything please fix this issue and I’ll definitely give a 5 star rating!

Seriously needs better control options. Controls are inconsistent when it comes to being responsive!! Some abilities that are available in PS systems (liking Patrick jumping while holding tiki heads) are not available on iOS, making some missions (not a lot) impossible to complete/ the game impossible to enjoy. Fix this and make controls available consistent

Good but One question. The game is good and all but why would you put it on mobile? I mean like have you ever heard of people playground? It was only released on steam and the ones that are close to it are the ripoffs

Great glitchy adventure. Fun game , love the graphics, but it is so broken, I don’t want to get into it right now, but can you please fix one? Every once in a while particle graphics appear extremely blurry and only fix sometimes if you reload a level.
