Not bad. The app itself is good. But the payment is not per case, but deposit based like $15,$25 unit.

It was good until it wasn’t. There was one boba place close by me that accepted T-pass so it was great to use the app to order ahead of time. Unfortunately, that shop closed and the nearest boba shop that accepts T-pass is too far to go to. My issues are 1) I can’t access the funds in my virtual card, 2) I emailed them to cancel the subscription ahead of time to avoid the monthly fee but was still charged, and 3) horrible customer service. I asked for a refund and the customer service rep basically told me it’s my fault I didn’t cancel the subscription even though I emailed them to cancel the subscription. At no point did anyone respond to my email and when I called the person texted me was so rude. They said they would look into refunding me but never did. Don’t use this place, they are in it for the money only.

Requires preloading with money - no thanks. This app doesn’t allow you to charge the exact amount for an order. It requires you to load the card with a fix dollar amount, so that you will always have a balance on the card. No thanks.

Great app for boba lover. The navigation is really smooth and easy to follow. Good ordering alternative for covid situation now ..

Simple lightweight app for Boba. I like it! Very simple …

Delete this app!. It cleared out my balance without any of my consent and didn’t notify me at all until I email and asked. They said it happened because there’s price issue and tried to blame it all on customer. How can that be a reason for clearing out costumers balance without consent?! How scary is that! I have deleted it. This is my first time ever making review on an app. I strongly advice people don’t use it. I’ve used it for couple months, I will buy tea in person to support small business instead of paying higher price on this app and getting balance cleared without notice.

Don’t add money to the app. The app crashed after I reloaded $20 to it. Will never use it

not deal for me. I am not in the South Bay , the closest store I can go is 9 miles away. I have been able to use the App at all

No way to directly exact amount with credit card/Apple pay. Really wish we could set our own amounts to add money to the account (rather than specific increments of $5, $10, $20) or have the function to pay directly with card. If my purchase is $13, I have to spend at least $15 to add money to my account. Then I'll have $2 left in my account. The next time I purchase $13, I'll have to add $15 again...

Charged me but the order didn’t get to the store. Worst app I’ve ever used. I ordered and payed through it. But the store told me they have stopped collaborating with the app so the order and the payment didn’t get to the store. Have to order in store again. But the app just charged my money, no refund, no response, no explanation.

Inconvenient. Price does not include tax and fee. It does not allow you to add a small amount. I though I could use up the money loaded in the app because tax is not included that I had to either add more money or waste some. No option available to cash out the money when it is below five. Super inconvenient!

Trash app!. Really horrible that you can’t combine your cards saved to complete and order. They have a very aggressive and terrible pricing plan that is designed to make it very difficult to pay, and constantly reloading a card. Terrible. Avoid. Use grub hub or something else instead.

T-pass is very frustrating. I find T-Pass extremely frustrating. I’ve been required to load in $5 increments since the amount never comes out evenly. It takes me so much time to make it work and it is not at all an enjoyable experience. I would simply like to have my money refunded and pay for my bubble tea in person, as I order it. I am VERY disappointed in this service and I feel that I am wasting my money and actually avoiding supporting bubble tea spots due to this.

My money is stuck. Like others, I had an issue with my balance being unusable on the app - the store the card is for is not on the app anymore. I contacted TPass who said to take it up with the store, and when I talked to the store, they said that the money was paid to TPass. Now TPass customer service won’t respond to me at all and my money is stuck in the app (or, more accurately, just gone). Stay away.

good concept. kinda dumb that you have to load a balance to pay for drinks

Menu not up to date. First time using the app and placed 1 order. I got a message within 5 mins the order was cancelled as it was no longer available. I also don’t like the fact that we have to load the app with funds. Why can’t we use a cc on the app to pay the exact amount of the order rather than load it like a gift card? I’d like a refund of the full amount I paid to load the account to place the order.

Account balance loading. I initially like the app until I started to order my first free drink with subscription. I don’t like the idea of preloading $20 into my account before I can pay for drinks. I prefer paying the drinks directly from my credit or debit card. And subscription of 2 free drinks with $5.99 subscription is not actually free. The free drink value is capped at $5, and you have to the balance above $5 with preloading $20 into the app. Beware! I am sure there are fine prints somewhere in the disclaimer on the monthly subscription. But then who has time to read the fine prints when you kids are thirsty for drinks.

App keeps crashing, calling Visa to dispute added funds!. This is so stupid. I love the app, been using it for months until this week it decided to crash, even updated to the latest version of the app and with iOS 15 as well. I still have a fresh balance of $25 so I’ll be calling visa to dispute transaction from T-Pass because my money is not accessible to me!

Asked for my phone number b4 even showing local supported joints. Why would I give you my info before I even check out your app?

Hidden fees, poor customer service, bad app, the next movie pass. This company would rather block you for pointing out their false advertisements than to provide a proper answer to your questions. what drinks do you get for free? What are the limitations? It doesnt offer and clarification other than say its “5$” when its 5.99. Further more not detailing anywhere what drinks you are actually allowed to obtain “ free” This is a bad review for poor customer service and acting like theres something to hide. Bc of this. It beings memories of movie pass and how they scammed a bunch of folks.

Good Potential, Needs more selection. Would love for there to be more selection on the app. However, if you live near/frequent a boba spot that accepts t-pass it's an excellent value proposition.

Promising. I’ve an avid boba drinker so this app is a neat concept. In terms of the app experience, it’s well put together and responsive. I would like to see a more detailed log of my purchases and there are some things to iron out - I’ve subscribed to your TPass and I’m logged in, so there’s no reason why when I’m on the TPass screen that it displays a button to subscribe again. That is confusing and this is important to get right. This is a promising service though as long as the selection of milk tea small businesses remain robust and makes ordering, viewing, and making it easy to reorder favorites within the app. Looking forward to see the next iterations of this product/service.

Love it!. TPass makes ordering so convenient, especially right now when I don’t want to spend to much time in close proximity to people.

Horrible customer service. I got T-Pass for one boba spot only, which then stopped accepting T-Pass (though it’s still listed in the app). I asked for a refund and it has now been over 6 months that I’ve been trying to get money back. They’ve said multiple times that it was being worked on and then never got back to me. The latest time I reached out, they pretended that they didn’t know what issue I was talking about.

Scam app. Never download at all.. 1. $6 membership fee for two free drinks is very misleading since they have a $5 limit on each drink. But this is not mentioned in the app when you subscribe. All you will see when you subscribe would be $6 for 2 free drinks. There’s very little chance you will notice it when you subscribe. 2 The founder is very very dishonest when I reported an issue to him. I shared the referral link with my friend and expected to get a reward, however, I did not get any. So I contacted their support, the founder replied and told me they don’t support Android, which is mentioned NOWHERE! Honestly, if you only reward sharing with iOS, I think you should at least mention it somewhere. So I followed up with that founder twice on this, and he just stopped replying my message further. 🙂 To conclude, I feel they use all these tricks and scam a lot of people to download and use the app. VERY VERY DISHONEST! Please never download it! I already reported this to my credit card company to get my money back (since they don’t use IAP) and reported further all my concerns of this app.

Great app, bad checkout. I only go to a couple of boba shops near me and it’s still nice to have them in one place on this app. However, you have to charge money into your T-Pass card in certain increments ($10, $20, etc) instead of just paying the exact amount for each order. Feels like it’s forcing me to deposit money unnecessarily.

quick and easy to order!. great app, super easy to order and adds more locations! 😋 excited to try out the new rewards system, kind of like starbucks. overall amazing experience!

Forces you to use a virtual reloadable gift card. If you just want to order ahead and maybe not use the app a lot or even just once that’s hard to do. I tried to make an order for a $7 drink but the app only let me reload a virtual card for $10 and then I could purchase my drink. I couldn’t buy just the drink directly with my credit card. So forced into this loop of loading up a virtual card and always having change left over you can’t use completely without another reload. If you frequent a place sure this app may be great but this isn’t for one time purchases.

Cool app, but needs a way to add specific amounts of money. Interesting app, with good discoverability of boba places; however, I hate using it because I can’t add specific amounts of money to the card, so there’s always some money laying around that I can’t do anything with. It’s cool to see the dev respond and add a search feature though!

Love the app!. Must have for every boba tea lover!! I didn’t know so many flavors and shops near me existed before I started using the app!

Don’t add money it. Tpass is awful. Terrible customer service agents who just direct you to broken FAQ links. Won’t refund remaining balance and there’s no way to cash out. Do not get scammed by this app.

Don’t waste your time. As my first time using and ordering from the app, it will be the last. It allowed me to order a drink from a permanently closed boba store, and I didn’t know it was closed as it shouldn’t have appeared in the first place. When I went to pick up my drink, store was permanently closed due to a fire, months ago. I asked about this in the help section but haven’t got a response or a refund so it was a complete waste of time. I’m writing this review in hopes that no one is fooled by this app.

Awful. The app doesn’t give you restaurants in your location. And the customer support on the app is bad. 0 stars

Doesn’t work anymore. I am not able to access my account anymore. I’m asked to provide my phone number and when I did I did not receive a text message with the verification code.

The referral didn't work and the customer service ghosted ne. Very sad about the service.

Poor Customer Service. I did not receive what I had ordered at a boba spot and I requested a refund. I brought this issue to attention on 11/11/21 and have communicated with the developer several times, but I have still not received a refund. I have also asked the developer to provide a refund for the rest of the money on my card, but they refused. California state law requires that businesses provide refund cash for cards that are under $10. Because of this, I will file a formal complaint with the California Attorney General’s office if this issue is not resolved by 12/1. You’re better off ordering ahead with Doordash. Some stores have marked up the cost of boba on this app as well. Please don’t waste your money on this app.

doesn’t work. i enter the code sent to my phone and it never works

FRAUD FRAUD. I reloaded the balance and placed order, but store said they never received it. My money got deducted. Fraud app, beware

Does not work with Google Voice phone. Does not work with Google Voice phone

Don’t use it!!! Eating your money!!. It is my first time in life writing a review because I hope to warn ppl from downloading it! It keeps asking the customer adding in more money. What’s worse, we cannot choose how much we want to add because it starts with at least $5. So I could not use up the money at all and then refuse to offer refund. Plus the customer service is very rude. When I tried to ask for my balance refunded back to my bank account, the customer told me “no, you want just stop using our all”. What!!! I still have balance and why I gave my money to you for free!! The customer service is very rude and abusing the customer saying “our business will thrive without customer like you”. It’s very unprofessional! I will tell everyone I know don’t touch the app at all.

Free Tea! Cha Cha Cha!. I love that T-Pass is really great with customer service. You actually talk to a real person. You get 2 Free Teas a month, and what I would like to see added is an easier way to show which drinks are available with the Pass. Several times- it has shown in the app that the tea selected is redeemable with the Pass, and loyalty point, but when I get to the screen to pay (where you normally select to use the pass for the free tea) there is only an option to pay, and not redeem with pass- even though it shows it is a redeemable with pass tea. A small frustration after picking out your drink. Usually if it says you can redeem with pass it does work, so I hope they can fix the maybe menu error, or have an easier way to see all of the available (with pass) teas. Not only do they have a great loyalty points program for each tea shop, but they do really unique surprises if you participate. They also have some great offers/percentage off if you buy up gift card etc. front. I have been to at least 4 tea shops that I had not visited before since joining, and now I have found an amazing dessert/tea place that I likely would not have found at all, or for a long time otherwise. Also, one of my already favorite tea places is included, so now not only do I get loyalty points towards yet another free tea, but I also can use the pass there; whereas before I was buying teas with no points or etc. going towards anything. If I’m not mistaken at least 6 new tea shops have been added to the program since I signed up, and I still haven’t been to all of them. I like that it shows which tea shops you are closest to, and even has a map view. It also lets you know when the shops are open or closed. It is worth at least checking out, and if you don’t like it you can unsubscribe. Yifang are you out there!?! Let T-Pass join with you! The force would be strong! :D

Terrible Customer Service. They are unresponsive to all of my messages, I sent a few over a week ago and cannot seem to get a hold of them. This has happened in the past too. Seems like customer service is not a priority for them. Extremely disappointed. You also can only pay by 5, 10, etc increments. You cannot pay for any roll over amount with card. They’re basically just trying to scam you to pay more than what you asked.
