Very Nice. I absolutely love the new app, I’ve been waiting for the Tegna web and app experience, it’s very nice maybe a few more adds than I would like to see would be my only complaint. Much cleaner streamlined user interface. Love the favorites and customizable alerts and weather. Much better than the old app.

App is horrible. Gave it only one star but every time I tried to send my feedback the nickname was taken. Let’s see if I use the same nickname and can submit now that I give it a 3. But this new app is HORRIBLE!

News. Even when the new is horrible, sad, or ridiculous, you make me feel safe. I miss Chris so much. Thank You Mayor Ginger for doing the right thing. Thank You 10 TV for reporting it. I don’t understand why wearing a mask is a political thing. It I s either the right thing to do or the wrong thing. Even you Republicans know what is safe. Stop being stupid.

Accessibility. This app is good, but does not show up well for a person using screen reading software, who is blind, on an iPhone. Please make sure that your news app is accessible for all, including persons with disabilities, persons with visual disabilities, persons who use screen reading software such as voiceover. Or Google talk back.

Ads ruin the app. Overall performance and user-friendliness are more than adequate. The way that the ads make the app jump around each time they refresh and constantly change the page about is infuriating. I understand that the piper needs paid but there has to be a better way to program it that doesn’t make it act like a free game that is advertised on social media with all the ads.

New format. The new format would be much better if the continual advertisements did not distract from the news. I come to this site for news, not advertising.

LocalNews 24/7. WBNS 10 News Columbus keeps me updated on local, state and national news every day all day long! If news breaks over night I get notified even if I am not watching. I have their app on my phone & Roku! The onky local station making my Columbus news available in the style I prefer! A Big THANK YOU to the entire staff!

More frequent updates. I like 10 TVs app; however, it would be nice if it was refreshed and updated more frequently. I typically see old news even on the current day.

Works for a while then freezes. I have not been a fan of this app since the redesign, I preferred the old format with all news in one feed instead of creating sections. But my main issue is after I’m on the app for 5-10 minutes it freezes and will not open additional headlines. I have to then close the app and reopen but typically it annoys me so I do not bother. Lucky for 10TV all other local tv news apps are worse than theirs so I’ve continued to use it but keep looking for other options for local news. I have an iPhone 8 with software up to date

Love 10TV. I live in Georgia but grew up in Bexley. Being able to read the local news Keeps me connected to home and my Buckeyes. Thank you so much for making this app available.

Update not so great. I used to like your app. Not so much now. If I want a video to play I will play it, but It is annoying to click on a new story and want to read what it’s about without a video playing. Or should I say advertisement playing....Then the actual story. If I want to watch a video I should have the option. Not just have it automatically start when I am trying to read.

More opinion than fact. This news is written as if you have no personal reasoning skills and have to rely on some hack to “fact check” everything for you. You know when more than half of the headlines start with “No,…” or “Yes,…” that you are reading opinion and not fact. It’s condescending and dumb to try to present this as fact or news. On top of that, most of the headlines are fluff and the stories are pretty thin. The app might function ok but the content is garbage.

Doesn’t always let know when break news. My notifications turned on sometimes it don’t ring the thing when it does breaking news

10 Tv is awesome we can stay up to date on everything that matters thanks 10 tv. Thank you for all that you do to keep us up to date.

Never opens anymore. I moved to another state and like to keep up on Columbus news. But the app just spins and spins now. It won’t open any of the article notifications it pops up on my Lock Screen. Can we get an update??

Alro. I have been a supporter of channel 10 since I was a kid, I knew the owners, I was interviewed several times on various issues years ago, I have seen The Direct support from 10TV as a board member of Charity Newsies, giving to our commmunity in so many ways , their fair coverage of issues that affect us all. 10 TV has seasoned people who are respected, looked up to and take part in our community. The Wolfe Family are Champions to our city, helped shape it and make it a place to want to come to. We who have known them, have been friends to many of them, only can say one thing about this station, CLASS And RELIABLE is two words I would use to honor them Alan R

You are the best. We turn to Channel 10 for all our news and weather predictions, you all just feel like family (in a good way).

Personalization Is Key. I like how this app has a fresh design and has much more personalization capabilities than many other local (and even national) news apps. There are definitely a good amount of ads, but they could be worse and more excessive, especially nowadays. But what really sticks out to me is the amount of personalization features. You don't need to allow breaking news notifications for every alert or none at all...just what matters to you. The homepage is personalized based on what you want to see (separate from notifications) as well. Even some of the weather information and alerts can be personalized by location (not just Columbus). This is by far one of the better free news apps, and there being plentiful local news makes it even better.

Stops opening articles. Most of the time, this app is pretty good, especially the Verify section. However, after about 3 articles, it suddenly stops opening articles and just has a buffering-type circle and just sits there, not opening anything. This has happened for a long time, and none of the updates they do ever fix it. I have great wifi, and no other apps do this, only 10TV.

Better Layout, Worse Ads. I understand the need for advertising revenue, but the rolling ads that follow you around are super annoying. I guess it’s a little better than the NBC4 app that has an ad every other story, but it’s still too intrusive for my liking. That being said, the layout is much cleaner and simpler. Much easier to navigate.

Thank you.. This is just a review to say thank you for the family feeling atmosphere you all give the people during the c-bus airing times I wake up every morning to watch Jeff, Tracy, Angela, Katrina, & Molly you all are great and we love you. And the Beautiful Ashlee.

Worst app on my phone. This latest update is absolutely horrible. Who in the world approved this? He or she should be fired, along with the designer of the app. Too many ads. Not enough news. And then the same stories repeat and repeat as you scroll, just in different font and/or size. It’s not even worth my time opening the app. Based on the other reviews of this subpar update, you’ve lost a lot of 10TV app users to your competitors. I’m now one of them. It would be more beneficial to just completely start over then to even try to lure people back with an update. It’s THAT bad.

Works ok on iPad Pro but not so good on iPhone 10. At least once a day and usually more when switching stories or categories, it just gives me the white screen with the blue spinning circle in the middle. The only way to fix the problem is to shut off the phone. The iOS software is always current and my wireless is very fast at 200 megabits. I like the app when it is working it is 5 stars but really aggravated otherwise when it is a zero. Fortunately in Columbus, the other TV stations apps work fine.

Fix the privacy pop up. It popped up for me to approve or not approve the tracking, but it’s not letting me approve it, nor is it letting me close the window that popped up, essentially making the app useless. Redownloaded it, it worked fine for a day, until the pop up reared it’s head and bricked it.

Review. I love seeing all the News articles about my city being I’m no longer there! I still like to know all the things going on keep up the amazing work! Thanks

Verify Section. Love that they have added the Section called “Verify” where they verify issues that are wrongly reported or questioned. This is a valuable tool. Would love to see an archive of these videos and a list where we can look them up quickly. Thank you for these!

I liked it better the other way. It’s hard to read the news with all the videos going. It seems there is less stories this way. The weather section is useless. I either use a weather app or watch it on tv. On the 10TV app there’s hardly any info for weather.

The app is. The app is great except it doesn’t always update and often left reading the same news in the evening as I did in the morning and vice versa

Poor layout. Too many ads, poor layout, where is the menu to select content desired. Did they not allow users to test this before launch. Would have given zero stars if available. Who is advising 10TV management, don’t want social media just want headlines efficiently laid out and tiled without being forced to see more ads. The reviews written should be on the app not 10TV news, their news is great, the new app is very very bad and a walk back from the previous version. The ratings appear rigged. One day the average rating is 1.6, now the average is 4.3. Someone appears to be stuffing the ballet box. This even though almost all written reviews are highly negative. Can we not trust the ratings from Apple Store any more?

Meigs County can’t get Channel 10!. We always enjoyed watching channel 10, but it is no longer offered by our local cable service. When I watch a little news on my phone channel 10 app, Meigs County isn’t even shown on the weather map! Our two oldest grandchildren are students at The Ohio State University- we would like to have your news channel so we know a little more about Columbus. With the coronavirus updates given by the governor, we don’t see them. We are the poorest county ( or second poorest) - we have no hospital, no public transportation, no jobs. The school district we live in is the largest employer in the county. Just a little background on us- I do appreciate getting to get a little news from your channel on my phone.

Getting better but repeating stories.. As you scroll down through the feed many of the same stories are repeated, this has been going on for a long time.

10 TV SHOULD BE ASHAMED. App is horrible way to many ads, I get more ads the news articles I’m able to read without the page jumping all around from loading new ads. Very difficult to navigate. This is no longer a news source seems more like an ad source!! I uninstalled the app and won’t be using it any longer until they make huge improvements and get rid of all of the ads.. if they ever do this was my only new source app I used guess I gotta start looking. However it’s total garbage and I really can’t believe they would release something like this. I’d be ashamed as a new outlet to be associated with it!!! Can’t give any lower of a score or I would.

Who thought this up?. This app needs a quick redesign. Where does one go to find topics such as weather,sports, business, etc. ? All that shows is a single screen which one has to scroll to another screen,, blindly trying to find subjects of interest. The old app had multiple windows and a pull down menu. There is no other news app that follows this stupid format. Bold type greetings and pretty faces won’t make up for easy accessible information that is missing.

Only the news.. I find it so upsetting to see all the news outlets in central Ohio not cover all the news. Where are the cameras when you edit out the joke of a president we have. Why don’t you show the investigations into Hunters legal problems. Larry Househloder is kicked out or Ohio senate, when he’s only been accused of a crime. What happened to innocent until proven guilty. The news is not a court of law. You should defend his rights. The people who elected him just had their vote nullified. That’s the crime. I’m not saying he’s innocent, I’m saying his rights as an American was stripped of him. Bill Cosby isn’t a great role model like you all gushed over years ago. But he has civil rights as an American. The news media today strips us all of that right You make the news not report it.

I can’t even. I love 10tv and I’ve had this App since 2009. However this new version is horrible. It’s slow, lags and drains my battery. I don’t care for the layout either it’s hard to navigate. I like simple! The worst is the adds! I understand that’s how you make your money but the layout of sentence add sentence add popup add sentence makes it extremely difficult to read. Plus I will be in the middle of reading something and an add will popup and push the story down the page. I’m now searching for a new news outlet that’s at least readable.

Too much content. Your unable to expand the viewing screen on a tablet or phone for a full view while watching a live broadcast as the old app. In other words, the viewing screen does not expand. The banner pop up over the viewing screen cannot be closed. To many categories to select. Over complicated for those not proficient with the app The app continues to update draining the battery The previous app was user friendly without too much navigation

Deleted your app today. I wake up every morning to read the news and weather everyday for years but not anymore. Since the update you seem to think people want to read your ads. Well guess what they don’t. This app is cluttered with ads and then a story here and there. Plus it drains your battery with background activity all day long, even if you shut off background activity on your phone. NBC4 is no better but at least I can find article’s to read. This is not a news station anymore it is an advertisement company. Bring back the old app.

Tough navigation to multiple sections.. Adding to my previous post..... after a few days, I find more and more of which to be critical. Yes, the ads are cumbersome. Too many ‘clicks’ to find worthwhile content, etc. Also, while I appreciate being ‘greeted’, I don’t need the 3-4 second delay caused by the app saying ‘Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening’. Sorry team WBNS/Tenga.....this just isn’t even close to what we should expect in 2020. Understanding where I am in the app is challenging so far. Also swiping to read next story stops at 5 for me. I am encouraged though based on this apps predecessor.

Garbage. I used to rely heavily on this app for local news. The new version is garbage. It has way more ads and way less functionality. Very disappointed. Whomever was behind this change should probably lose their job.

Deleted the app today. I have to echo other users; no matter what settings you choose, this thing is a epic battery eater. Waaaaaaay too many ads (tiktok? Really?). The videos stutter and restart multiple times. The articles constantly jump trying to load ad content. There’s an ADA angle here, if I were visually impaired this jumping would be brutal. I was a habitual 10TV app user and really liked the simplicity of the old app. I gave the new version time for sanding off the rough edges, but time’s up, y’all. Please test this stuff before launching it into the public like this.

Jerry Ravish. I called Channel 10 about a month and a half ago suggesting Jerry do 30 second or one minute spots during the unrest in Columbus. I really enjoy all the air time you gave him. He’s such a pleasure to watch and listen to. I have watched him and Channel 10 for over 45 years. Keep up the good work. Ron Foote

Pure love. I just love to pull up my 10TV app and get my news. When other news outlets just aren’t doing it… the 10 always makes it better!! I sure do miss Jeff booth!!

Refreshing. 10TV news is everything wonderful. I enjoyed watching all the news anchors, there personalities are so refreshing and positive and fun to watch do not change a thing.

I like the new app, but the old one was better. 10TV new news app is good, but I like the older version better. The access to new is kinda limited to just one page. Unlike your previous app where different new stories were on multiple pages now it’s just one page and weather. I also wish it would show news in my area not just in Columbus.

Worst update ever. Did some 4 year old win an app design contest? Oh wait. A 4 year old could make a better app than this, why don’t you go and interview one and get some ideas. You could cover yourselves with advertisement stickers and walk around looking just as dumb as this app. I wake up. I open 10TV news. Every day. One day it said I had to download new app, I thought okay... nothing wrong with old one however maybe this will be even more amazing. It’s exact opposite. I click on story to read, and while I’m scrolling on my phone, I end up tapping an ad. The ad opens my internet browser which isn’t what I wanted. So I have to close that, go back to 10TV and now the page I was on is either different or it’s jumped to a different part of the page and I have to partially re-read to find my place again. Either that or I end up reading the end of the article and it spoils the journalists story. Shame on you 10TV. Thanks for forcing me to go to NBC4 which isn’t much better than this crap but at least it doesn’t open 10 windows on my phone that wasn’t intended. It’s hard to find the story amongst the ads, it loads very slow, and the hot keys at the bottom are stupid.

Has deteriorated over last several months. This was, at one time, a great APP but no longer. Half of the time when trying to read a news article, I get the little spinning circle and I have to go back to the headlines. Also, I get half way through and article and they try and load an ad and things start jumping around. Very frustrating. Loading the latest update has not helped.

Honesty. 10 TV has usually been pretty good at calling balls and strikes I.e. fair, fact based, unbiased reporting. I like that because I no longer listen or trust any national media outlet. Plus their weather dept. is the best around in my opinion!

Stop the Liberal bias. I appreciate the local news and weather. I am disgusted by the obvious liberal bias in headlines and stories that any kind of political element. Examples are glorification of BLM riots yet vilification of the so called Capital “insurrection” (it was an FBI inside job designed to entrap fringe nut-jobs and allow a smear of all legitimate supporters of the President), espousing all the fear, gloom and doom of the COVID pandemic while discrediting proven, cost-effective and readily available remedies (it was a designed problem created by big pharma and China with a premeditated solution to extort billions from the government and insurance companies), etc.

AWFUL. Bring back the old app. Or drastic improvements need for the new one. No longer are you Able to find things like gas, traffic, school business closings. Way to many ads much difficult to navigate. Very poor job 10TV. I sincerely hope other news apps are not as bad as this one that has been created. Used to like yours

Bring Back Older Version. This is the worst update ever! So many ads you can find the news! You had the best app out there and had go an change it! I used to only use your app, now I am forced to seek out the other local stations for news. Please return to the old version so that I can once again use your app! So disappointed! You were the best and now the worst!

Good but could use work. Great news coverage, but the app itself is overall a bit clunky and could use some work

Since you updated your app, it is hard to use and enjoy.. With the changes you have made in your app, it has gone from being our favorite news app to the one we use the least. Do NOT like the new foremat.

Limited options. I found that unless I allowed my location to be tracked the app didn’t always function. I’m constantly asked about allowing my location to be always tracked, not just when I’m using the app. There is no separate link for sports. I deleted the app after one week.

Must have. Gives timely information.

Watchful Mom. Love this news app. Our Daughter and Son-in-Law live over there and I can keep up with a bit of what may be happening on their turf.

Not local so much. I’m not sure what they think here, but I am looking for local news on the local news channel! Is this a surprise? Parroting the national new outlets is a mission fail here. I’m not scrolling through a dozen national news stories with lots of ads to find stale, poorly updated local news and little breaking news. Delete!

Commercials. U don’t need all them damm commercials all the dam time u need to show more of the movies or shows thin the dam commercials. Tell dom that Challenge him in a bowl off I am a 2 time gold metal winner in special Olympics bowling champion. He dosnt say anything about nascar he doesn’t like nascar

Love keeping up with Ohio news. Only gave it 4 stars because often it will not bring up the stories but “spins” instead.

Double video. Every single time no matter if I’m on my iPad or my iPhone if I bring a video up I get double audio that competes with itself. There’s always two video’s that show up and both of the audio’s start up when you press play but they are always slightly off from one another so you can’t watch a video. This has been an ongoing problem since your last big update.

No longer usable. Now with the privacy setting updates in iOS the app gets stuck on a splash screen telling you the only way to keep the app free is to allow 10 TV to cross access your data from other apps. There’s no way to close it or even allow the app to steal your data. So it’s just useless there’s no button to hit or anything.

Not Good. This app is not very good. The user interface is ugly and outdated; there are ads everywhere; news stories from weeks ago appear on the front page for seemingly no reason; and when you open the app it plays an unnecessary animation to say things like Good Morning. If you want news in Columbus, Ohio, you’d be better off with channel 6’s app or the NBC channel 4 app.

Absolutely Terrible. I used the previous app at least 4-5 times a day. I don’t even want to open this mess. Please, tell me who is your end user testers, they should be fired. This is the definition of what you NEVER do when putting a fresh face on an existing product. Did you complete any user surveys? I don’t know who would ever suggest the app present itself the way it does. Others have already done a fantastic job of pointing out it flaws, so I’ll refrain. When your business is news, and I can’t find the news I want, you have failed. This will be taught in software development classes as an example of what not to do, so thanks for doing your part.

My go to channel for news important to me. Day after day,I can depend on 20TV for the best central Ohio news and up to the minute weather.

Quick and easy. This app is a quick and easy way to peek at local and regional news - then move on with my day. Kudos to Ch. 10

Okay...but crashes too often.. App crashes way more than it used to when I first downloaded it over a year ago. I have to either delete the app and redownload or restart my phone to fix the problem. It would be nice if they would fix this issue.

Inconsistent App. For the past several months, your app has been unreliable. I have updated it and the loading circle just goes around and around. What is wrong?

Big 10. Keeps me updated on everything from sports to crime

Home Town News. Great way to stay up on what’s happening in your home town. Sports, news and life in general. Feels like you are still there.

Problems. This 10TV app is continuously a problem. Every time I use it on the IPhone 11 at some point it will not load the article, then I have to re-start the phone in order to continue. I have even deleted the APP and reinstalled to no avail. The I Phone 11 has all current and available updates. 10TV is the best news team in Columbus but the APP is terrible.

Good overall. Would like to see the weather app more user friendly and accurate.

Less. This used to be my go to app but they have gone to a similar format that drove me away from NBC4 and keeps me out of the Columbus Dispatch app - small fonts and ads that pop in while scrolling. I don’t mind ads but bouncing banners and pop in ads is super frustrating and a major aggravation that I just don’t need. Guess it’s the ABC6 app go forward.

Great App. Keeps local new up to date. Haven’t had any issues as of yet!

10TV. I love to read information to what happened on the news.

Bring back the previous app version please. With the previous app I was able to stream the news throughout the day (even when I was out of town), which I get was relevant. With this app now it’s consistently crashing on my Apple TV 4K and mobile devices. Love you 10TV just disappointed with “upgraded” app. This is my opinion is a step back from the previous version.

Wheel of Fortune. Did you have any comments about the Wheel of Fortune show that was aired yesterday, Thursday, February 11th? There were 2 different episodes! Part of it was from the previous night.

Overall Goor Reporting. 10TV has overall good news coverage for local Ohioans but like so many others they tolerate those frivolous advertisers who litter the app and make them look bad.

Crime. On tonight's local news it was reported that a robbery occurred near OSU campus by a WHITE man. I find it funny that all of a sudden you are reporting color. Let’s see if you do it with black/ brown person

I love you guys, but.... I’ll still catch you on TV. While the new app may be more aesthetically pleasing to the eye, it’s no longer user friendly. I understand the need for ad revenue, but there is an acceptable limit. The weather map doesn’t have near as many options in layers as the old app either, which I found to be very useful and used frequently. Like I said, I’ll catch you on TV, but I’m going to have to pass on the new 10TV app. Sorry. 🙁

Terrible. Worst tv streaming app I’ve ever used. Ads are extensive, streaming disappears for a minute or mire regularly, display dies not rotate so its hard to view on a typical phone and much more. Reinstalled it after hearing they had improved it but thus is as frustrating as earlier versions. I just deleted this one too.

Fresh local news. I check channel 10 for fresh local news all around columbus.

New app is killing my battery. Ever since moving to the new app, I have woken up to a dead battery every day. The culprit is this app running in the background from 11pm-7am. Disabled background refresh, yet the behavior didn’t change. The new UI is fine, but I will not tolerate poor back end architecture. This app is being deleted.

Informative articles and weather reports.. I use the app often.

Not good. I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who hates the new layout. There doesn’t seem to be as many stories now and it’s full of ads. I don’t find myself wanting to pull this up anymore to check the news and I used to several times a day with the old one.

I Hate the new App. Honestly, why can’t anyone ever leave well enough alone? This new app pales in comparison to the old one! I can’t find anything I want without scrolling through the entire mess. Too many ads, no menu for the various sections and topics, huge pics and graphics when I still want to read words! Ugh, guess I’ll just have to look at the other local stations. What were they thinking?????

How is this rated at 4.5 stars 🤷🏼‍♂️. Clearly from reviews I’ve read and after having the new app since I had to download new version, I am baffled at the overall rating. Def sets in my mind that reviews can be flooded with robot reviews to rate it high. The new app is horrible compared to old version. Eh, ok the weather portion I’ll give them credit. That’s about all though.

Hard to navigate compared to past app. Difficult to read, confused with ads that divert you to other sites.

Where is the Search field?. I can’t imagine that anyone would create a News App that lacked the ability to search for a subject or story from a few days ago... that said, I’m at a loss in finding how to do it in this App.

Downgrade from previous. I’ve never felt compelled to rate an app before this but all the new stuff in this version demands a stomping. For reasons already mentioned by others, ie. auto play video, overkilled with ads, non sequentially readable text, etc., I can barely give this two stars. I’ve not found any redeeming qualities in this version. It’s being deleted from my iPhone.

Portia Williams. I have been a viewer of 10TV since childhood! I consider it the best! As a former reporter, I say thank you for reporting accurate, timely information which is balanced and helpful for all!

Great News Channel. I have watched 10TV for over 40 years and it just gets better and better.

News app format. Don’t like the format that was introduced this year. Font of print is too small and site isn’t user friendly. I don’t use this site as much as I used due to these issues. Lately I have been using a different station’s website as I find it more user friendly.

Bring Back The Old Version. This new version has so many ads and other options to read that I cannot find the news articles anymore. Following a news article from start to finish is near impossible. Remember the adage, KISS. Keep it simple Simon. Yes I know I changed the words..lol. Please fix before I abandon your news service. Thanks.

10TV news / app. I enjoy reading up to date news items so 10TV helps me stay informed. Still trying to get used to new app and decide if I like it as much as I did the old one.

Different layout, same information.. It’ll take getting used to, but it’s no better or worse than the previous app.
