Up to date. I like how I can look and see exactly what is going on in my hometown area as well as other places!! It is helpful when family loves all over.

Weather section is truly horrible. They are no longer supporting their standalone weather app. It’s easy enough to find the weather coverage on this app but what you get there is not worth the finding. No % of chance of precip, and today August 7 there’s a video from mid June. WCNC used to be my go-to for weather. Brad P is the best. Brad, the IT department let you down!!!

Not helpful at all. Worthless app. So many commercials. We are trying to get updated local weather info due to our power outages and this app is useless. Every video clip you click on you have to watch 3 commercials same when you click the “watch live” App is not user friendly at all! You’re better off finding your local info on FB or TikTok. Don’t waste your phone space with this useless, over cluttered app unless you like to be spammed with commercials and not receive any useful info !

Weather needs to improve. I had to download this because the WCNC weather app is being sunset. I get that. It’s a lot of work to maintain 2 apps. But, can you try to make the weather tab as good as the weather app was?? Way too much stuff in the way.

Awful experience compared to old WCNC weather. Look elsewhere. WCNC said that they were getting rid of their weather app and that we should move to this news app. I gave it a try because I thought they were consolidating the two apps into a better experience still letting me focus on the weather if I wanted to do so and have news if I desired. That is not this application. To find weather information is MUCH more of a PAIN now. You are bombarded with ads, you have to scroll and click multiple things, your location on the weather map is not pinpointed, the problems go on. Also, NOTIFICATIONS: You could have all of your notifications turned off for everything except weather and you will still get news events! No offense WCNC, but the reason why we had the weather app was because we trust Brad’s weather information. I’m not here to read articles from your news reporters. If you want people to enjoy this app who were coming from the weather one, make the experience for weather super streamlined and easy just like in the old app. You can still have the News available, which I may look at if I desire. But when you shove it down our throats with the worst weather experience, what’s going to happen is people like me deleting this app and just using the iPhone’s native weather app. The whole point of the weather app is being able to get weather information quickly and accurately. This is the opposite.

Election coverage. News when you need it!

Improvement suggestions. Things to improve. Anchors saying “yes” instead of “yeah”. Weather people learning the local pronunciation of Cheraw and Lancaster. Say our weather vs my weather forecast. Great station. Long time viewer. And forget the days accurate in forecast. Suggestions.

Informative. Informative and helpful news app for the greater Charlotte area. Especially appreciate Brad Panovich’s weather updates.

A content Easter egg hunt. Why make it more difficult to find the content your users really want? Take the weather forecast for example: instead of being able to easily access the WCNC forecast—NOT the “my location” forecast, which isn’t terribly accurate BTW—I have to fish around and view videos just to see what Larry Sprinkle predicts. Not a fan of the new format. Please go back to the basics.

Thoughts and opinions. WCNC is my “go to” source for news BUT especially weather. Brad Panovich is the best meteorologist I have listened to in my 76 years on planet earth. Your news anchors are wonderful, very personable and relatable. I love the verify segments. For over 25 years I was a dedicated follower of another Charlotte network news - not anymore.

Excessive notifications. Even for topics I have turned notifications off for they bombard you with push notifications. It’s like “a crime happened!!” - I don’t care. - “There’s an update on that crime!!!!” - still don’t care - “police are now giving a statement about the crime!!!” - please stop. I don’t care. That’s the actual format. Endless. So dumb. Almost as bad as the patch. Tell me you’re desperate to get me tapping into your app without telling me. Moving onto a new news platform.

Review. Too slow to open up and print could be larger. Otherwise good articles with variety. Thanks

WCNC. We always watch and enjoy your professional coverage. Your new s team are very professional and show good presence Spelling on news stories needs to be checked more closely. Slow down and get it right.

Love the app and the content. I recently downloaded the WCNC app and have really enjoyed getting the updates throughout the day. Knowing what is happening locally is always important and I feel the content is well balanced. The initial reason that I downloaded the app was to try to bridge the financial updates given on the TV broadcast at the bottom of the screen to what I thought would be found on the app but I have yet to find that. I sent an email to the station but have not heard back yet. I’d love to change this to a 5-star rating if I could get that answered, please. Keep up the great work and I am a routine viewer of the TV broadcast at 5am and switch to the app as I prep for the workday.

App is visually appealing but needs bug fixes. App loads slowly since the new update and sometimes crashes to the home screen due to bugs in the app. Developers needs to fix the app and it will be perfect

Do not like the new update. We are huge Weather Brad fans, but this new weather section of the WCNC app is just frustrating. 1- on the radar, it doesn’t have a dot location for me to see the town I’m tracking/ where I am 2- limited to 5 cities to follow (old app had many more, maybe unlimited) 3- not user-friendly to toggle between saved cities. I need to look up where we are traveling to and can’t figure it out! 4- I just want the weather like their old weather app, but I have to scroll thru the news now I want to be loyal to this station, but I’m going to download WSOC’s weather app to compare. I’m sorry! :/

News. The news is fast paced and informative…. I like that

All I want is a weather app. The weather app is being shut down August 1. That would be fine if this app did not want to send me news notifications and was as easy to use as the weather app. The alert settings does not appear to work properly, resulting in more alerts/clutter/annoyances. Turning of notifications means you no longer receive critical weather alerts. In order to get to the weather you have to shunt for it. Forecast and radar are buried instead of buttons at the bottom, like in the weather app. You have such a superb weather app

Need a Weather only App. I only want weather notifications, how do I eliminate all others. I have weather as the only allowed notifications but news is pushed. Truthfully, WCNC needs a weather only app with lots of features to help the public , even if there’s a small cost!

Pam DeMaria. WCNC is my go to news source. I have my coffee with them each morning and tune in each evening. Always pay attention to Brad Panovich’s weather report. Keep up the great work to keep us informed about local and National news.

Too many commercials. Your commercials are too constant and long. I wish commercials were 20 seconds or less. Then I wouldn’t mind and I might actually remember the commercial and consider the business doing the commercial for future business. No one likes to be forced to see something and If you mist at least don’t take so much of our precious time annoying us with your commercials and advertisements.

Informative. Great updates on local news.

Push Notifications. Only downloaded app because they are getting rid of the WCNC weather app. In settings I selected to receive push notifications for weather only. Having only downloaded the app roughly 18 hours ago, I received push notifications all night with election results. No thanks.

Same old news!. Sometimes the news stories are not updated for days and days. Very frustrating to see the same stories and not new ones for many days.

WCNC TEAM. They are truly a T-ogether E-very one A-complishes M- ore I appreciate that they are calm when they speak on serious issues and don’t act like it’s the end of the world, especially when it’s hurricane season or right now. They state the facts with strength in their voices but don’t yell it like they where scolding a child, or having a heated disagreement. They are friendly to deal with and prompt at answering your questions. They are my go to channel! Thank You for all you do, inside and out. Praying that your Team stays healthy. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🤗🤗🤗🌈🌈🌈

Bring back the weather app. No matter how you set the notifications on this app (I only want weather notifications) it pops up news alerts. I don’t want to know what police 3 cities away from me are doing. I want to know if a tornado is nearby. You have one of the nation’s top meteorologists who could give us a better app. Other local stations have a weather only app. Do better.

Keeps me well informed. I’m totally satisfied with the coverage, very well rounded and informative. Not biased, just the relevant news.

Ugh the Chevrolet ads. I understand the need for ads. That’s why pays to keep the app up and running. Nothing is free... But seriously, do I have to sit through a Chevrolet ad every time I want to watch a live update from the federal, state, or local government. And if I need to switch to something and check back, I have to go through the ad process again.

Weather Section Has Issues. I miss the stand alone weather app WCNC used to have. That one was quite accurate and easy to use. The current weather section isn’t user friendly and I can’t delete cities I’ve added. Each time I go in and attempt to delete, they just remain. Even after multiple attempts.

Too many notifications!. Downloaded this app because the weather only app is going away. Selected only weather notifications, did not select any news topics, but got bombarded with news notifications only the first day I had the news app. The weather section is not as streamlined and user friendly as the weather only app. Disappointed so much that I am deleting this app and going back to the weather app that came on the phone.

Extremely hard to find articles. I am so disappointed with this app. I will receive a notification from the app and then have a hard time finding it once in the app. There hardly seems to be any content on actual news stories. This app focuses on the weather and their secondary reporting.

Give me back the weather app. This app is horrible. I want to be able to easily look at the Weather for my area, not Charlotte as a default. I can set my town up, but I can’t set it as the default, and it still gives me Charlotte weather instead of my weather. The Weather app was able to do this successfully, and knew the weather in my town right outside Charlotte was often different than Charlotte itself. I want to see the daily and hourly forecast, as well as the radar. I want notifications related to severe weather in my area only, and there are too many ads popping up in the way. And put the forecast and weather articles at the bottom. I want to quick scan the weather, not have to skip long winded verbiage like in a blog recipe. Just give us back the Weather app.

Amazing but can’t find something. It is an amazing app and very accurate but in the newest update they took away the radar button and I can’t find it.

Just okay. The new app is pretty, it’s decent. You can easily find what you are looking for. The one thing that’s irritating me is the notifications. I love Brad and his honest forecasting. He’s awesome, and really the main reason I prefer this news station. I have my notifications set to just weather. And here I am, getting notifications randomly of everything under the sun. I just want weather notifications. That’s it. Just weather. Juuuuust weather.

Way to many ads. I’d give a five star as it’s Good app and layout but when you click on an article your bombarded with ads after every paragraph way to much. No other news app I use has so many ads. That’s a shame for WCNC app.

Not user friendly. Can’t find where they give the hourly % chance of rain. Also when I am traveling I can change the app to show me the weather for that town. (Again, no hourly). Not a fan on how it is set up. I really liked the graph they had for % chance of rain in the old app. I know it takes a bit to get used to new things, but if I can’t get the local hourly weather then it isn’t an app I want on my phone.

Notifications. I have all the notifications turned off except for weather and the last few days I have gotten a billion non weather notifications. Every Olympic moment etc. I have to delete. So sorry.

UPDATE: Notifications are annoying. Giving this three stars because I can't get the notifications working how I want. I have all topics set to off in the notifications except for weather. But I still receive news alerts that I don't want. I would just block all notifications but I need the weather ones. This wasn't a problem when the apps were separate. Updating a year later. I had upwards of 30 notifications today. All were news alerts. One was about a contractor in Phoenix! Why do I care about that? I assume Tegna owns news outlets in AZ? Why do I even have this app?

A step ahead with breaking news. Breaking news comes from you before other news organizations post it.

No substitute for the WCNC weather app. I downloaded this app when told the WCNC weather app was no longer going to be updated. Within the hour I received notifications about news stories. I turned those off. Using this app to look for the weather is cumbersome. I want the hourly forecast and radar at my fingertips and there is too much searching and clicking to get the weather. Deleted and searching for a new weather app.

Weather. Had to download this app since they are getting rid of the weather app. The weather page is so cluttered and the info you want isn’t nearly as detailed as the current weather app. I also selected only weather notifications but have been getting notifications for everything else. Such a disappointment because of how much I loved the weather app.

Pitiful journalism. I just removed this app because I’m sick of fake, liberal news media. Today’s article, instead of writing about the President observing Arlington National Cemetery; they have to take a jab that he hasn’t accepted losing the election. Hears news for you WCNC; the election isn’t over. Get your the facts. Not the fake.

Must watch ads before every story. I understand paid advertising and how it works but it’s so incredibly frustrating to watch the same Chevy ad before I view each story. If anything the ads make me not want to buy a Chevy more than I already didn’t and steer clear of the app.

WCNC literally puts out fake news. It is the worst kind of fake news trash. And the only local news is murders. Get another app.

Where is the dewpoint?. I tried this app but found it lacking. I need the dewpoint, relative humidity is not as important.

Bring Back the Weather app. The weather app was great, allowing for easy viewing of the radar and weather forecasts. The WCNC app is hard to navigate!

Very biased news. I noticed more and more that this news station only reports one side of the story. Deleted the app and got different local news app.

Great news team but.... I’ve always used the WCNC app for news and weather however I’m not a fan of the new app. All the graphics are visually appealing but it drains my battery and the interface is very slow as a result. Hopefully the developers will fix some of these issues and roll out an update soon.

Fix Topic Alerts and Notifications. Please ensure the application respects our chosen topic alerts and notifications settings. For example, if I have opted to receive weather notifications only, could the application refrain from showing me alerts I have not selected?

UI designer needs to be fired. It’s visually unappealing, slower than the previous version, crashes more and the home screen looks like click-bait links. Bring back the old version.

B Nutter. 5:00 Monday, April 30 I am fed up that you cut the President’s news conferences on Covid 19 to go to some other local programming such as the weather. I don’t need reporters interpreting the live news from the White House for me! I immediately changed channels when this happened today.

Bad redesign. Whoever designed this new app needs a career change. The new app is completely unintuitive, wastes my time with a video loading screen, and is way too hard to find anything.

Good but slow. This news app gives a wide range of news for the Charlotte, NC area. It is attractive to look at and fairly easy to navigate. The downside is that it is SLOW and often has numerous spelling errors.

Review. I have always enjoyed CNBC. CBrock was my morning favorite. She makes me LOL while learning.

App opening too slow. I think you app opening takes way too long. Nice jester to say good morning or afternoon but speed it up.

Terrible app. WCNC app worked before last update. The weather portion of the app seems particularly bad. This needs a lot of work to be made usable again.

Bias Reporting. Cunningham confirms the sex texts but your bias support for Democrats covers up for him. You cannot honestly call yourself journalist when you fail to report factually

Terribly unprofessional content. Not a fan of the ap. Seems to be more focused on advertising revenue than news. But the content itself is littered with errors. They really need to hire people who can write, spell and proofread. Or an editor or two.

Don’t kill the weather app. The weather data on this app is horrible compared to the weather app. Guess it’s time to find a new app. Plus the amount of commercials is annoying.

Awful app. I love your weather team. I loathe this app. The last two weather storms and you can’t even pull up the map. It’s straight awful. Using WSOC-TV’s app until you fix it. The last WCNC Weather app was perfect. Either make a usable app or don’t offer one.

Horrible. Anytime a news story is clicked, the app closes. Can’t read anything. Terrible new design, wasn’t ready to be rolled out.

Weekend Newscast. I watch Sunday mornings and really like it
