Choppy and Click Ads galore. I agree with all the high ratings with as-it-happens news reporting, great reporters, etc. But low ranking due to the app’s operations. Very choppy and too many click ads. But don’t rely on my rating and certainly don’t take other’s high ratings in stride. Check out other news apps, not just in the local DC area, but throughout the country.

Rev. David Benway. The very first AP that I added to my smart phone was WUSA9. I am hoping this new one will be as informative and easy to use as the old one. I want my news weather and sports for DC, Maryland, and Virginia. I will get my world news from this same site. Make me real happy and keep it simple.I have been watching W U S A News and weather since I moved here over 25 years ago yes i remember Bruce when we were both young and so many of the team. I also get my weather from Topper and his team, I gave up on the others because I demanded accurate reports and sympathize wit Topper when there’s no snow. Excellent Up To The Minute News & Weather App. I am always on top of everything with WUSA 9 News

Fine app. I mostly use the app for weather and traffic. I have no problems with it. I boycott Sinclair stations. I also use a Canadian weather app and the two usually agree.

Broad Reporting. They have a sense of broad reporting that covers a large spectrum of news. They do a good job at it too.

Review channel news reports. Channel 9 seems on top always of breaking news which helps us - the public keep abreast during these unusual times. Many thanks to those reporters from all of the networks who face the invisible COVID19 to report noteworthy & unbiased information to the Quarantined masses. Thank you & be safe yourselves. Ms mck

Latest update does not work. The latest update of the app shuts down unacceptably quickly - it works for 3-5 minutes then shuts itself down.

Woman attacked on Metrobus. The Reporter explained this situation with clarity. He showed much concern as well as the other Reporters. Thanks for providing the recording to assist in arresting the individuals involved.

Great local news. The app works, it is free and plenty of local news. It is simply enjoyable and has been for years.

App compatibility. I love WUSA9! I have been watching since 1999 when I started for my civics class and got hooked. I do wish I could keep the old app format it had many mire stories and was much easier for me to navigate. WuSA9 is still the best but please update your app again (or go back!)

A great app for the best news reporting!. I've been a CBS news fan for 30+ years and I've used the Channel 9 app to keep me up to date on the latest and greatest. The staff and reporters give the most accurate information! The app is great for alerting on breaking news and follow up details. It's my go to app for being in the know on the go!

The challenge of covering both local and national news has been been put on steroids with the pandemic. We are living in a covid-19 hot zone and rely on their information and continued calm in the face of this historic crisis.

Always freezing. WUSA9 is my favorite news channel however this app is always freezing! What is the problem?? I almost ready to switch to another channel.

Love this App. Keeps me up to date on news & weather. I check every morning so I know how to dress my kids and what my patients will be talking to me about from the news, since I don’t watch the news.

Photo space too large; incomplete reporting. Lots of wasted space in the app, compounded by poorly written news articles. Just now I'm reading an update with a sub heading. The topic of the subheading isn't covered at all in the story.

Refreshing News. Channel 9 continues to remain on point. At times it also makes me laugh or smile during the Wake up DC show. I also like the refreshing and relevant “Verify” segment that clarifies facts from fiction or just right out right false information to the Washington Metro people. As COVID-19 pandemic tests our patience, faith and daily ability to coop regardless of society. I also like how you also celebrate the heroes amongst us. We need to celebrate each others efforts during these time to give our communities hope and to make caring for each other contagious in good way. It’s refreshing to hear and see a diverse reporter team that has each other’s back and enjoys their jobs. Thanks for standing out, and being industry leaders as a News Organization. News. Provides mainstream news feed with a bit of a left wing slant. As with any news (entertainment ) source, compare data with various primary sources.

Great new updates. Super sleek updates, cool customization features and solid stories compared to some other really basic and shallow news apps. Really good for being in tune with DC that isn’t politically slanted.

Weekends. I like your app but people read news on the weekends too and you do not do a good job updating news on Saturday and Sunday. Please do a better job.

Good app BUT. Too many requests to rate the app and if I do rate it...I have to rate BEFORE I can see the news I'm looking for...took me 3 min just to get the rating screen (had to log on with isp login) and then get the rating screen before I could rate. Why can't you show the news article I was interested in from YOUR notification screen and THEN ask for a rating...you'd get 5 stars and REALLY GOOD APP...NOT 3 stars and a big complaint? !!!!!OK

They hide the live streaming feature. Used to be my "go to" for local news but it appears as if the ap designers need a few lessons on ergonomic usability. This ap does have a live streaming feature but they make it almost impossible to use. I get the impression they don't really want you to use it. In the past they put a "watch WUSA 9 now" button at the top of the ap. Good luck finding it now. It might be buried somewhere deep inside but I can't find it. A prompt does pop up when you launch the ap but it doesn't stay there long and when it disappears there's no way to launch live streaming. Okay, guys I get the message: you don't want me to use a service you say you provide. Make it simple; insert the button permanently and prominently at the top and LEAVE IT ALONE.

User Friendly. This app allows for either horizontal or vertical reading which is becoming rare on updates these days...an option to be appreciated when the iPad sits in a keyboard stand. A well organized and intuitively designed format.

Great News, Poor App. I love WUSA9, but this app is riddled with programming glitches that make the app nearly unusable. At every other opportunity, the app crashes during a section transition, and not just in specific sections like other users. Weather, headlines, closing & delays; all of the sections crash repeatedly as the section is in the process of opening. On the occasion, as I am reading an article, the app will close spontaneously. I will have made no interaction with the user interface at all (fingers clear of the screen), and it will instantly crash. I know you guys can build something a little more functional! The presentation and overall look is great. Just iron out your performance glitches and you'll be on top! Keep up the good work guys! These are all easy fixes coding wise.

Love It, but.... I travel a lot and am sometimes just too tired to catch the news on television, so this app provides a great alternative! It's also interesting to see the amount of news coverage happening in each state. However, my issue is with the photo recap stories. I'm not sure why the different photo articles are posted when they don't function in the app. Yes, I would like to see the photos of mug shots, but I can't! Or any of the other photo articles. I also take issue with the disabled links in the article."Read more:" shouldn't be included if it won't be a functional link. Another issue is with the editing and proofing of some articles. I don't want to have to decipher what is meant when the string of words don't complete the thought. And finally, if there's an actual update to a story outline that first. Sometimes the word is there but I question if there is truly an update since the same basic information is given, maybe there's supposed to be a link or photo that provides such?!

Weather. The weather team couldn’t predict a wet noodle.

It's Not Bad..... This App does a good job presenting breaking news very fast! And, there seems to be ample follow-up on local stories that are ongoing. The only reason that I did not give it 5-stars is that if I miss the actual live feed of a story, I seem to encounter problems trying to access archived live feeds. Maybe, they don't actually exist. Nonetheless, I can always access the print articles and updates.

Works sometimes. There a several interruptions during the course of watching/listening to the program on my iPad. The app will freeze or crash completely. Sometimes I get a message stating that there is no access to the Internet--I clearly do and have no problem accessing other apps. Getting to the actual screen to press play is a little clumsy and could be improved. Good thought on the app, but needs a lot of work.

Ads non stop. AD after AD after AD every time you try to watch a video of news or weather. Terrible.

Slow to load however..... Every time I open this app it takes a long time to load the content. Even my screen is ready to go black. Once the content loads, you get what is expected from an app that features news content.
