The App I Always Needed. Absolutely love everything about this app. I have always struggled with meal planning, consistently eating healthy, and eating the right macro nutrients. This app solved all of those problems and made groceries more affordable with less food waste. I lost 8 lbs in one month thanks to this app and now i’m only another 8 lbs to my target and it actually feels achievable. I love that it has snacks and tells me extra calories if I want to pick up an extra snack or have some candy. The meals are absolutely delicious and have a lot of options for those who don’t eat meat, fish, dairy, eggs, or other allergies. I also love the option to change the amount of people eating at a meal and how many times you want to have leftovers. Will forever be using this app because it works, is delicious, and so easy to use.

I am enjoying this app!. 5 stars! I just started this app two days ago. It’s three people in my household, including a toddler, and finding the right meal for all of us gets tough. I joined this app and I’m creating quick and easy-to-learn dishes for my family. I love the features of sending your grocery list to different grocery stores (this is genius). I also like how it proportions to meals for each person in my household. I’m really enjoy creating the homemade sauces too for my recipes! Please try it out. I should have used this many months ago! Oh, and, the reminders are great too! I can’t wait to shop for my next list. I also feel a bit more healthier as I’m trying to lose weight and have a more balanced diet.

You won’t be disappointed!. This app is amazing! I’ve tried Weight Watchers, Noom, MyFitnessPal and many others, but they all lacked what this app has. It allows you to pick a calorie goal and then it creates a weekly meal plan for you, but the best part is that it’s completely customizable. You pick your food preferences, your likes and dislikes, and it will make a weekly plan. Then you can swap around meals and add or delete meals and snacks as you wish. You can choose to meal prep ahead of time if you wish, and if and when you have leftovers. You can also customize it so certain days or certain meals you make enough for family members, too. This is so much more than a diet app…it’s truly a lifestyle app. And my eating habits have significantly improved now that I have a meal plan I look forward to eating everyday!

Meal Planning Made So Easy!. Wow! I've been using this app for a few weeks and I already can't say enough good things about it. Intent has helped me graduate from a boy to a man! But seriously... A few weeks ago "cooking" involved only frozen food and a microwave. Now I'm buying most of my food from the produce section and am using the whole kitchen to cook easy-to-make, fun, delicious, and healthy meals. If you've also been struggling with learning how to eat like an adult, give Intent a try. Intent doesn't teach you how to cook. It makes it ridiculously simple to figure out what to make, what to buy every week, and when to cook it. This takes on the hardest parts of meal planning and makes it easy. You answer some questions, review some suggestions, and voila! It creates your meal plan and your grocery list for you. All for free! One of the best parts is that there's no pressure with Intent. You can easily swap meals and readjust the plan throughout the week without feeling guilty.

Best Meal Planner Available (Lots of Flexibility and Excellent Grocery List Feature). I’ve been looking for a meal planner that lets me import recipes, has a recipe bank (and allows users to modify the recipes), and uses the ingredients to create a shopping list. After trying literally 12 different apps, I was finally fortunate enough to find this one. Its ability to help you plan your week, set the number of meals you want to track per day, and grocery list generator all make this app stand apart from its competition. I had one minor issue with a recipe I tried to import and reached out to the developer through the app. They had taken care of the issue with a few hours. They are very responsive and invested in having the best product out there. I tried the app for a few days (to make sure it really worked for me) and then very happily subscribed.

Great lay out. So, I’m 14 and I cook for my family, my moms getting older and my brother can’t cook. One of my problems is knowing what to cook, this app really helped with that. It’s got easy to follow recipes from many different regions, awesome mechanics and a wonderful layout! It looks clean and refreshing and the recipes are set it in a really cool way, instead of having to scroll up to the top of the page for recipe amounts it’s listed right under the directions, which is nice. I also really like the sides feature, instead of having to pick sides yourself it has a wide selections of sides and you can pick your own quantities of the side, but if you don’t like the side it picked for you you can go in and change it, which is very easy to do. I also really enjoy the grocery list feature, while I don’t use the in-app grocery list I transfer the items that I don’t have in stock to my own grocery list. All-in-all it’s an easy to use app that I would recommend to anyone.

Overall Decent. Overall it’s a pretty good app. As far as the intention behind customizing goes the heart is in the right place. This app has great ideas! It just needs some minor updates- like as far as actually customizing your macros. It shows what your macros are but it’s always quite a bit higher in fat than I would like… which you can add in your own meals from the internet and that would fix that, but it would be nice to be able to edit the recipe inside the app and still be able to come back with accurate macros. I feel like if they either gave a section where we could add the carb/fat/protein ourselves like if we calculate it first in MyFitnessPal or if they separated recipes by even which recipes are higher in which macros. Also I sometimes find the grocery list a little unrealistic like calling for 50 sweet potatoes because where I live you can’t buy a bag of sweet potatoes so it would look really goofy to go check out 50 some individual potatoes. Otherwise this app is everything I could ever want it to be.

A game changer!!!. I have been a healthy eater for many years but last year I found myself want and eating a lot of sugary foods. And trying all of the new “healthy” snacks is a fun past time whenever a new health brand has a new snack. I love it! Buuuttt… this has led me to being a not so healthy eater and I did gain like 7 lbs since last summer. Some is muscle yes but I know the rest is not and I’d like to get back in shape. I kept seeing ads for Intent on Instagram so I decided to check it out and I was not disappointed! I realized the reason I have t been able to “stay on track “ with my meal plans before is because I was trying to force food that I didn’t crave or want. Intent has the best and simplest foods that I actually want! I can eat sandwiches and pasta and still reach my goals🥰. I love this app.

Absolutely love this app!. I started using intent less than a week ago and I haven’t been able to stop using it! I’ve struggled to gain weight for 5 years now even after having a baby I went right back to being my original weight. My goal is to gain around 20 pounds. I know I don’t eat nearly enough to have the calories needed to help with my weight gain but with intent it allows me to set an actual goal in mind and to find recipes that show the calories and plan out meals for every part of the day. I’m one to over grocery shop and being able to pick a recipe and the app set up a grocery list for you with exactly the amount of food you need it’s a game changer! & it allows you to pick a budget too, I believe it will help me actually stay on track of my weight gaining journey!

Wow!. I love this app. I’ve always struggled with food so this helps me get my eating on a schedule. I love how easy it is to customize each meal and of course, my favorite part, the fact that I can send my grocery list straight to my Walmart cart and just go pick it up. That makes my life so much easier. As with all apps I find that there are a few things that would make it better. I wish there was an option to add toppings. So say for a baked potato it only has salt and pepper on it but I want to add a sprinkle of cheese or sour cream I can’t accurately reflect those calories on the app. I also think it would be nice if there was an option to curate recipes based off of leftover ingredients from the week before. I end up with things I don’t usually eat, such as leeks, and they end up not being used after the one meal I got them for. Overall I love this app and I think it’s the best thing ever for meal prepping and eating schedules.

Best app for meal prepping with a family.. Honestly I have used soooo many meal prepping apps. Ones you pay for and free ones all kinds. I have 4 kids and a husband and we all have very different preferences, allergies, and needs. This is the only app I have found that takes everyone into account EVEN MY TODDLER! Like wow I was pretty amazed. You can track your macros, log your foods, follow what you cooked as a full plan or mix and match like I do. And it puts it all in a nice convenient grocery list that is shareable. Like actually shareable not just hey you have to download the app too or a mass list you have to decipher. I can send the list to my husband to shop for me. I only had one (negative) thing to say if you can even really call it that and one of the co-founders who runs the app messaged me back immediately to help me fix it. They really have thought of everything. If you have a busy life and can’t go by a strict plan or a big family whatever I HIGHLY suggest this app.

Great App if you struggle with meal planning. i love this app so much. as a college student, i don’t have a lot of time or money to spend thinking about food. with this app, i can choose how many times a week i want to has leftovers (which saves me time and money!) and i never have to worry about what i’m going to eat that week. the grocery list is such a life send because i usually never stick to it but this helps so much! you can even choose if you want to lose or gain weight, any allergies or dislikes, and even if you’re on a special diet (keto, pescatarian, etc). one thing i appreciate is how great the basic plan is (if you don’t wanna spend money), without sacrifice the great things about this app. if you choose to get a premium account, you can see your macros, premium recipes and more! i also like how you can input your own recipes and arrange your meal schedule. it also reminds you when to go grocery shopping! love this app and i cant wait to see what more comes. without this app i would be eating pasta every night!

Great for the most part!. This app is great for my meal planning and has multiple diet-type options. It makes my meal planning so much easier especially when there is a chaotic week. However the only flaw is you can’t add your own side or snack. For example, there isn’t any nutritional options for the bread, yogurt, and ketchup that I buy. I am a Type1 diabetic and need these specific products to keep my glucose levels in balance. You only have the option to add a recipe, which you can only add to the main meal when planning. You also can’t add a meal to snack or side. Example, I can add my yogurt to a meal if I create a recipe, but I can’t add eggs because they are both main meal options. **I would love to see an option in the next update to add your own side and snack, so that you can work those better items into the meal plan. I’m asking for the option to pick if you want this to main meal, side, or snack. I am totally fine with adding all the nutrient info manually like it is for recipes. I am not asking to turn this into a carb counting or fitness tracking app. I just wanted to be able to customize the above options, so I don’t have to manually calculate nutrients for what I’m eating in the plan given if I don’t have the same item. Thank you for your time.

This is my FAVORITE app!. I have been using this app for 4 months now, and I LOVE it. Grocery shopping is no longer an anxiety filled 45 minute ordeal. I am in and out with the shopping list. I am able to try and do more with cooking. The recipes are extremely simple. Hello Fresh and like brands boast about simplicity, but you spend half an hour cutting and prepping veggies… I spend about half an hour, maybe more making the most delicious meals with these recipes. I only use it for dinner to cook for my husband and I because, I am a broken record when it comes to cooking. My favorites are the chicken piccata and the spicy pork tenderloin. I have grown a new love for cooking, and now I am able to change and make my own meals with the recipes. I recommend 10/10.

Manages all the logistics for healthier eating. I'm loving this app. So much. I've been using similar apps for over a decade now and this is my favorite user-experience so far. The food preferences, inclusion of my family/household, recipes and grocery list linked to shopping/delivery apps!) - I just love it. I'm very busy and just don't have the time to do things right. (Shopping, prep, tracking healthy choices - it's a LOT and why so many of us lead unhealthy lives.) This app has all the right features to set us up for success. Tomorrow starts my first week - had the groceries delivered earlier today. I'm very excited and MOTIVATED to follow through. The visual aspect of the user interface in this app is motivating. The meal pics are great. So many little bells and whistles. I hope to purchase a lifetime access. Just testing it out but our future relationship looks fantastic!

Honestly a life saver. I never write reviews because honestly, I’m pretty lazy and rarely anything is worth a good review anymore because most apps are just meh. You pay for it and never use it again after a week or two because it’s basically irrelevant. However, this app is a lifesaver for busy people, especially parents. I had just about given up on making dinner because it became so much work to try and figure out what to eat after 4 hours of sports after school. It was easier to just throw chicken nuggets in the air fryer and call it good because I never had any idea what to make. And then I’d find myself just snacking instead of eating anything substantial and I’d wake up starving. This app figures it all out for me. It allows me to pick my meals, how many people will eat those meals, tells me what to get at the grocery store, allows me to filter recipes that have foods my family doesn’t eat, and gives me the macronutrients for each recipe so there’s literally no guessing for me. If you’re struggling with what to make for your daily meals and sick of eating the same things over and over or just snacking your way through the day: this is the app for you. Well worth the money.

Game Changer. I cook for my large family who has various dietary needs. I also don’t cook every meal for every person. Being able to have profiles for everyone in the family and then select who I’m cooking for when planning meals for the week is a total game changer. Two of us are diabetic, 2 have food allergies, we mostly follow the “clean eating” plan but were able to customize the macros to add higher amounts of protein, less fat, and even my carb target since I’m diabetic. It also adjusts portion sizes based on individual needs. It will let me know on the meal plan I should have a half serving for lunch and, for example, and add more protein, and my husband could have 2 servings. Then it generates a shopping list and adjusts the recipe so I only purchase and cook what’s needed for our various needs. PLUS it is SO easy to add favorite recipes from various websites or even our own favorites (although the suggested recipes we’ve tried so far have all been fantastic) and seamlessly integrates them into the meal plans and adds the nutrition info automatically. Total genius! Can’t praise this app enough!

Best meal planning app!. Intent has been the best meal planning app we have used! It has a simple yet attractive interface and is user-friendly. We have been using it for a few weeks now, and the thing that truly stands out is a lack of pressure. It is simply a meal planning app that provides suggestions for your goals but isn’t a diet coach. Many of us download a meal planning app to get ideas, try new foods, and hone our diet. But we end up feeling pressured to enter daily calories or to follow the plan to a T. I guess that’s the quantified life we all have fallen into by having every metric our watches and phones are measuring presented to us in pretty graphs. This app is simply a great meal planning app. We love that it can be curated to your goals, the meals are great, the ability to adjust it whenever you want and take leftovers into account is extremely helpful. The grocery list is convenient, and integration with Instacart is convenient, though what Instacart interprets falls short from time to time, but that’s Instacart, not this app. The first week we were using it, I received a little message thanking us for trying it and inviting us to provide feedback. I honestly thought it was a bot but had a few ideas that would be nice. I was impressed to end up in a dialogue with someone from the Developer. I highly suggest giving it a shot! I can’t wait to see how they evolve.

Makes planning easy but recipes lack flavor. I like how simple it is to create a meal plan, especially being able to customize each meal with specific servings based on who is eating. Lunches are usually only 2 of us but dinners are sometimes 2 or 3, same with breakfast. The app lets you edit each individually to who is eating and swap out a recipe if it is not appealing. It also so helpful that it lists the portion sizes for each individual person so we are all staying at our calorie count. So far though we have only enjoyed about half the recipes we have tried. Most are bland and lack full flavor and several are difficult recipes because the ingredients are listed out of order or steps don’t make sense. I consider myself an experienced home chef and found I was spending time each day having to make guesses and adjustments to have the recipe work out. Not sure if we will keep using it but we are going to try for a few more weeks and see how it goes.

This app is extremely convenient. I just started using the app and it’s extremely convenient for meal prepping. It’s flexible based on your nutrition needs and gives you many meal plan options to choose from. The grocery list is very nice and efficient. It gives you the ability to check off the items on your list and everything is organized by department. The only thing I would change/add to this app is the ability to edit ingredients (change them to a substitute). The app will auto-generate meals based on your taste preferences and if a meal is listed that your not too fond of you can swap it out for a different dish. Lastly, I like that the Macronutrients are listed by percent and gram. So far the food has been great!

LOVE this app. This food tracking app is awesome. It starts by asking you what your weight and then goal weight, what type of diet/restrictions you may have and any dislikes for food. Then, it gives you the option for how many meals it wants to plan for you, for how many people, and wherever or not you want leftovers. From that, it sets a calorie goal for you and automatically creates recipes. All of this is awesome, but I haven’t even gotten to the best part. Once it picks your recipes for the week based on your preferences, IT AUTOMATICALLY MAKES AN INTERACTIVE GROCERY LIST THAT YOU CAN CHECK OFF AND MODIFY SERVINGS BASED ON WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE AT HOME. This is, by far, my favorite feature. It makes it so easy to utilize this app. It’s also very affordable. I would recommend this app to anyone and everyone!!

This App Makes My Macros So Easy!. Let’s be honest here. I was a person who would start to focus on macros, do great for a few days, get confused because I have a son who’s in the “hot dog and pizza” phase of life. It helps me find new recipes that I wouldn’t even attempt to try because it’s too wild or I have to scroll through some woman’s life story to get there. This app not only helps me stay aligned with my macros but shows me new recipes, snack ideas and creates a grocery list. Game changer. You can even order your groceries if you want! Even my boyfriend says he loves this app. If I’m running late from work, I can send him the recipe so he can get started. My son can look and recipes to see what exactly goes into it. It helps him learn there’s so much more to food than chicken nuggets. Lol.

Awesome App. I think the app is great, the recipes have been great (after a little preference tweaking) and the portion sizes match to exactly what I wanted. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish I could import the meals into Cronometer and not just myfitnesspal. I’m not a fan of myfitnesspal and Cronometer is a much more informative service/tool for creating and maintaining a high quality diet, but that might boil down to personal preference. If they ever added a way to import to Cronometer, directly or indirectly, I would change my rating to 5 stars. I did purchase an annual subscription for intent and will continue to use it. Side note: I did contact their service team during my first meal plan because of an issue I had. Their assistance was quicker than most and the person who contacted me was very helpful.

Awesome!!. So far I have no complaints and couldn’t even make one even if I wanted too. I struggled for awhile trying to loose weight/meal prep./ cook healthy all while trying to eat nutritious. You can’t go wrong with this app. It helps you figure what to eat with variety. I can eat different meal and do leftovers in case I’m being lazy lol. It also helped with seasoning which another issue I have, I tend to over-season or use wayyy too much oil/butters/Pam sprays in my meal and this fixes that. They also have a variety of meal plans from flexitarian, vegetarian, keto; even helps if you have allergens and reminds you in case you click on one of your allergens. Including a grocery list they make and it doesn’t pressure you too pick a specific brand. You can pick the one your comfortable with. Also the questions are very specific and truly help with figuring out what’s best for you. I could write forever on how I feel, don’t let me be the only one enjoying this app try it out I would rate it 10/10 👍🏾

Was excited for this until I started using it. The idea of this app is really great but the execution was rather poor, IMO (I work in software). I am a pretty experienced cook, but get bored with the same meals over and over again. We also end up wasting a lot of food. I thought this might be a good way to change things up and prevent waste. I selected clean eating. I liked that it would let me filter out some ingredients. It took me a while to set everything up and then when I went to actually plan the meals I was seriously disappointed in the lack of choice and rather boring choices. I had to work really hard to get a plan for the week that sounded exciting, but was also healthy. I don’t really think bread, pasta, and rolls are clean eating. When you pick something like pesto it doesn’t give the recipe for pesto. It assumes that you have bought it premade…yuck. It also forces you to sign up for a subscription before you can check the app out. I ended up canceling it right away. I think it needs a lot of work before it would be helpful to me and my family.

This App is awesome!. The hard part of meal planning is listing ingredients of chosen meals, then make a grocery list. I always order my groceries from Walmart. That means I have to enter my list item by item. This App provides simple but tasty recipes to choose from (you can also import recipes). Once you choose, the App provides a grocery list. I deleted the items I had in my pantry. Then with the touch of a button my list was sent to Walmart—to my account. All I needed to do was checkout. My groceries were delivered and I had the ingredients for the items I chose to prepare. So easy! I have prepared one of the recipes and it was easy and very delicious. I am delighted with how this App provides help with the most tedious part of meal planning.

Removes the Busy Work!. I love this app. The recipes are sometimes hit or miss—but the majority of them are very good, and still quite healthy without being all tofu or lettuce. You can pick which ingredients you don’t like, and it will filter them out. You can also pick which diet you want, and it will give you recipes to pick from that fit that. They generate a grocery list for you. It’s not foolproof—definitely check the list over to make sure there isn’t any errors. However, most of the quantities have been correct, and it takes me less than 30 minutes to plan meals. My husband loves the fact that I’ve been able to cook for everyone without issue, and I love trying new foods! The extra money per month is worth it, especially for the convenience.

My favorite meal planning app by far. I’ve only had this app for a week (free trial) and I must say that this app has been the best meal-planning app I’ve used so far. There’s a plethora of recipes to choose from that’s curated for your goals surrounding food AND if you add people with different settings, it’ll accommodate them in the recipe as well (saying they get extra servings if they need more calories). My ONLY critique is that the curated recipes maybe be organized into like a main Dish, Snacks, desserts, etc so that I can conveniently look at certain recipes to favorite and eventually try. Aside from this, I’ve found nothing wrong with the functionality nor quality of this app. Will definitely be paying for that yearly subscription!

Love it so far. I’ve only been using the app a couple of weeks, but so far I have enjoyed all of the recipes that have been suggested. I’m still sorting out how many meals to plan for in a week and how to handle left overs, but that’s a matter of me being realistic about how much I actually cook/prepare in a “normal” week. The grocery list feature makes shopping incredibly easy. The recipes have been tasty and easy to prepare with ingredients that are easy to find. There are so many meal planning options to choose from that anyone should be able to find a plan that works for them. The ability to adjust quantities and likes/dislikes for other members of one’s household makes this so easy to incorporate into family meal planning. This app has reduced my meal planning burnout 100%, and that alone is worth the subscription I opted to pay.

Love this app!. We’ve been using this app for about a month now and I’m so thankful I came across it! My husband and I were getting tired of the same meals we were making week to week. I didn’t even have an appetite to eat because I was tired of our same meals. I came across an ad for this app and decided to try it. The meals are tailored to our specific goals/preferences. The meals are so delicious, easy, and straightforward to make. I like that there is an option to eat leftovers. We are wasting less food now. I enjoy that it makes a grocery list for me for me and I don’t have to write each item down. I just check it off at the grocery store. I now look forward to eating and making meals for us! I’ve been telling everyone I know about this app! I highly recommend!

I love it. You know how working out is so hard to get started because half of the time, you’re figuring out what exercises to do? Then you get an exercise plan to follow and it’s so much more less daunting? That’s what this app does for your meals. No more last minute fast food because figuring out dinner is too much work. I tried this app to help me avoid the five-days-in-a-row lunch meal prep routine that I was not enjoying (read “not sticking to”). But I also needed meals that weren’t exhausting to make in the middle of the week either. This app has that. It also has more complex meals for dinner that my husband and I have loved so far. One of my favorite features is the grocery list. You pick all of your meals for the week and it combines all the ingredients into one grocery list, so no more flipping back and forth between recipes in the grocery store.

Obsessed. I’m obsessed with this app. Love it. The only complaints I have are that the pics don’t always match the recipe. For instance, a pic will have a tortilla or oats but the recipe won’t have those things. I wish we had the option to edit the pic and use our own. Also, I’ll save a recipe, but sometimes when I look at it to make it, the quantities have changed. Yes, I’m making it for me, but I can’t make a cake with only 2 tablespoons of flour when it originally calls for 2 cups. No matter how I change to # of people etc, it doesn’t fix the problem. So far I’ve only noticed this on a couple of recipes. A big plus that I love, I can save my favorite recipes from websites. All access through app. Still love it. Added: I wish that there were an option to remove certain suggested recipes if I don’t want to use them after I’ve tried them.

I love this app!. I absolutely love this app! It has a database of recipes to choose from, creates a customized & completely customizable meal plan for your specific goals, creates a shopping list out of your chosen recipes and you can send the list off to the stores website (like Kroger) to make everything easier, you can put your own recipes in, it even has a meal prep mode, you can log what you eat from your meal plan, log weight, it tells you how much weight you should lose or gain from the meal plan! I can say more about this app, but it would take too long. It’s amazing! The developers have really thought of almost everything you need for meal planning! I only have two small suggestions. When I add in a manual recipe, I would like to add a picture of that recipe for myself. It makes me excited to cook visually when I can see it. Second, I would like to add drink options to be calculated into the meal plan, because I send my grocery list off from Intent, and I sometimes forget to add the drinks. Plus it would be nice to see how the drinks I drink feature into the meal plan!

Dieting simplicity in your hands. This app has been a phenomenal so far! If I had found this app last year when I tried Keto I probably would have be successful in my diet. Usage of this app is super simple, I told it what diet I wanted to do, what foods I like, allergies if you had any and it creates a complete meal plan week by week, exactly how much to eat, what to eat with all kinds of different meals, as well as a complete weekly grocery list. It’s literally took all the complication out of dieting and just tells you what to do. Exactly how to prep and cook the meals. It’s so easy. And by telling you exactly what and how much to buy each week completely cuts out food waste as long as you cook the amount it says and eat what your supposed to eat each meal. So far everything that I have tried has tasted great and I look forward to meal times again.

Well thought out & easy to use. I’ve tried a lot of “meal planner” apps but they were difficult to navigate and had way to many b.s. steps. This one is great. It’s easy to follow, give you the complete meals, and the recipes are delicious. I can edit them!! Like you can change out and add sides and portion size. This is a great app if you don’t know what to eat but know how to cook but want to go grocery shopping but don’t know where to start. They did a great job with the starter selection of recipes. I’m waiting for a couple more features before I buy the “pro” version but will —happily— pay to save an hour of “I don’t know do you want to eat” during my weekends. The customer support is totally awesome as well, they genuinely listen to their users comments. Overall try it out. I liked it.

Good, but not always tasty. I love this app primarily for help with meal planning and grocery shopping, because as someone on the AuDHD spectrum that is an insurmountable task most days and I was finding myself not eating several days just because I had no idea what to eat. I like that the app provides an easy answer. It gives me healthy suggestions and tells me what I need to make them. The only drawback in my opinion is that the recipes are often not very tasty. I feel like you have to have good cooking sense to add your own spin to them, otherwise you end up eating raw chickpeas mixed with a meager amount of olive oil and a copious amount of raw onions, or a roast beef sandwich with enough horseradish to singe your eyebrows. Most of the recipes have good potential, they just need a little seasoning and/or adjustments to ingredient portions.

Takes the Guess Work out of Dinner. If you’re looking for a meal prep app this is it. My husband and I would usually bicker around dinner time because neither of us knew what we wanted to eat. We were tired of constantly cooking the same 10 recipes or ordering take out. We tried other apps like Meals or Noom, but we were constantly having to take trips to the grocery store, and honestly, who has time for that? With this app, we plan our meals ahead of time, and we can customize the dishes to fit our needs and preferences. At the end, the app generates a grocery list with all of the portion sizes you’ll need for the week. It is so comforting to know what we’ll be eating each day and that everything is in the fridge or pantry ready to go. Since my husband works from home, I set the dinner option to three people so that he has leftovers for lunch. No more having to run to the nearest take out stand between meetings. This app has saved our wallets and waistlines. Also, my husband and I cook together for dinner now. No more bickering or arguing in the evening. It’s heaven. Thanks to all the ppl who made this app. 😘😘😘

Wow 😱 just wow!. I have actually had this app for only a couple minutes and I’m. In. LOVE! I have to admit, I had my doubts while going through the beginning questionnaire, because every app like this that had looked promising, required a subscription right after answering the questions. Well guess what? This didn’t! It gives the option to subscribe (of course) but you can have this app without a subscription! And the free version is all I need! The free version offers weekly meal plans that are tailored to you! There are some recipes that are for premium members, but not enough to make it impossibly to have diversity in the meal plans. The grocery list is so helpful as well! I’m moving out on my own soon, and need to save as much money as I can. Intent offers the option to have their meal plans not require costly trips to the store! So far, this is a 10/10 app!

Life changer!!. For me this app has everything that I’ve been looking for in meal planning. I’ve done weight watchers and even looked into getting a diet coach and buying their programs but nothing ever had what I was looking for which was simplicity and foods that not only I can eat but my family as well. All the meals have been customized to the info I entered and the food I already normally have and are in my budget. The best part is the shopping list that’s created for me on the day I chose to grocery shop. The list is organized and grouped perfect which made the chore I hate the most(grocery shopping) super easy. I love that I was able to add my family members and the portions include them as well! Overall super happy and impressed! I’ve been telling everyone about it and hopefully it helps you as much as it’s helped me!

It’s a good app 3.5 stars. I’ve used the app for a year before writing the review. I do think the app is generally really good for the paid version. It’s easy to choose to plan a certain number of meals for each day, it takes into account preferences and diet type, it gives you a pretty accurate calorie count for the meal (cross checked using my fitness pal). The cons I have is that I love variety and near the end I was starting to get very frustrated that it kept suggesting the same meals over and over even though the database has a LOT more recipes than what was constantly being suggested even within my dietary guidelines. The side dishes and snacks are severely lacking in terms of variety so I end up deleting sides and picking other vegetables/fruits (many of which aren’t even options to log) from the grocery store. If you choose low carb be prepared for all of your suggested sides to be spaghetti squash or cauliflower rice. I like both but dang it can I get other options?!? Also I love foods from various countries. It’s obvious that the Indian, Thai, Chinese, etc meals are pretty whitewashed. Less flavor and sometimes odd pairings. I suggest finding more authentic recipes and tweaking them to fit your dietary needs or adding more spices than what’s suggested. Overall it’ll get the job done but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Loving it!. I did the free trial and I’m hooked! This app is packed with so many ways to be used. I’m using it to eat healthier but I always struggle with finding different or new healthy meals to cook. The app takes all of the goes work out of an already challenging task. It took into account what I want to accomplish, what foods I like and don’t like, and even composed a grocery list for me that I can send directly to my cart ( I use Walmart delivery but there are multiple stores you can use to add your grocery list to your cart while also being able to modify before purchasing). I have also been pleasantly surprised at how tasty the recipes are! So worth tye affordable price and I’m not rich! lol. I’m pretty sure I could go on and on because I love it so much!

One Year Review. I’ve been using Intent for over a year and can say that it does make figuring out what to cook for the week much easier. However, I used to pay about $70-$80 a week on groceries for just myself. Then I started paying $90-$110 a week after using intent. You can save a lot of money if you already have a good collection of spices but if not then, remember that you will will have to build up your collection $$$!. That’s what happed to me. Food tastes great most of the time. I initially set my caloric intake to something like 2200/ray but found that the app over compensates so now I’m setting it to 1900 and that is better for my meal sizes and wallet too. Over all I would recommend using this app to my friends as a tool to help with meal planning but don’t expect to loose a bunch of weight because you will soon become exhausted measuring every little 1/8th of a teaspoon of spices and oils per meal.

Needs Substitutions. This is a review done the weekend I am starting my very first meal plan. So far, I like the concept and overall features this app offers. I do have to say that my biggest issue with the app (thus far) is lack for ingredient substitutions. As for improvements to existing features, well at the top of my head I see the app can expand their “shopping” options 9perhaps add Target/Shipt). Maybe add some connectivity with other apps/services so we don't have to go back & forth between apps to log things like workouts from apple fitness, or perhaps it can log meals from apps like Hello Fresh, what about dining out? I would like to see the option to add meals from different sources for days when we go out of our meal plan. Finally, I did notice what I think might be a bug when sending to the Health app. I noticed info. on the Health app is timed outside my time zone.

Lifesaver for my ADHD. This is literally the best meal planning app ever, and it’s FREE! You get to choose what recipes you like for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for however long you need. You get to list foods you don’t like to ensure those recipes won’t include them. So it plans out what you eat everyday based on recipes you chose (it can account for leftovers too!), then the best part in my opinion, is it compiles a grocery list of every ingredient for every recipe + snacks and side dishes!!! That way you don’t buy groceries you won’t need and you know exactly what amounts of everything to buy. (You can check off each item on the grocery list too!!!) It’s a perfect app that makes my life so much easier. From a technical standpoint, there isn’t anything wrong with it either. It hardly ever glitches and almost always runs smoothly. There are in app purchases and you can get the premium version for access to certain locked recipes (not too many & if you want it that bad you can look it up) or add your own recipes. Not necessary though and the app has full functionality without paying a dime! Get this app if you’re single and don’t know how to cook for only one person, or if you have a family, you get to choose the servings!!! It’s seriously the best.

Love it. The app is really great. Firstly, it helps me prep meals and takes away the stress of what to eat. Second, I love how many options there are and how it helps me achieve my weight goal. Third, the recipes included are delicious, easy to make and a great place to learn how food works together healthy. Fourth, it’s affordable. Not only is the app at a fair price, but their grocery lists for the week for in person do not exceed $100. That comes out to being less than $10 a day on all my meals! Fifth, I’m actually minimizing food waste as old recipe ingredients are built into next weeks recipes & it teaches me when I can eat leftovers. Sixth the recipes are catered to feed however many mouths you’re trying to feed. So instead of shopping for a family and wasting all my food, I’m actually eating for just me. It helps me strategize meal planning too. Seventh, all recipes are quick so even after a long day of teaching, I can come home, cook and relax reasonably. Finally their customer support is with you the whole way, they’ll listen to your needs, wants and just converse with you on how the app is working. Deff would recommend if you’re looking to learn how to budget, food manage, cook and eat healthy!

Does it all for you!. So far, I’m impressed. This is the kind of app I didn’t know that I was looking for but am so glad I found. Since finding this app, I have to say that I finally feel motivated to lose the weight that I’ve ignored for years but has bothered me so much. One of my biggest challenges has been food, and planning what to eat and tracking. It’s always been a nuance to me, but this app does it all for you! It has you answer a bunch of questions but it’s all so that it can plan to fit your lifestyle which a lot of these cook books, meal plans, or calorie trackers don’t do. You can swap meal options if you’d rather eat something else, you can choose a food lifestyle like if you’re pescatarian for example, you can pick what meals in the day you eat like for me I’m a breakfast, lunch, snack person, and it’ll format your meals around all that and more. I think that this app is gonna be so helpful for people like me who struggle to plan and track, or lack the motivation to. I can’t rave enough about this app. I’ve already recommended to a few friends and family, that’s how excited I am!!

Helps me with new dietary changes. I really like this app. I recently found out I have type 2 diabetes, so I came across this app, experienced the free trial and paid for the year just to access all the recipes and the recipes look so tasty! The pros for me, 1. You can set up recipes per various dietary approaches 2. Adjusts recipes to allergens 3. Adjust macro and calorie targets 4. Adjust the servings of recipes 5. Provides a grocery list 6. You can leave notes on the recipe which I think is really cool. The cons for me: 1. The recipes - there are certain ingredients that need to specify measurements or more detail in the cooking process 2. I would like to see swap outs, e.g. recipe calls for 1 cauliflower head shaved into rice, I would like to see a replacement to make it easier for the busy cook, such as buy a bag of cauliflower rice and measure 2 cups for the recipe, per say and 3. I would really like to see other members reviews and cooking tips next to the star rating.

Food allergy friendly!. If you have food allergies and fitness goals - this app is for you! I figured this would be a download and delete app - I was wrong! Adding my food allergens, selecting other food preferences (and my spouse), and cuisine types was easy. I figured grocery shopping and the recipes would be a barrier after that easy step. Wrong again. I used the link to Instacart with Whole Foods and the food matching to SAFE (free of my allergens) food was incredible. Foods I normally wouldn’t even bother looking at because I assumed they would contain my allergens, and they still met the nutritional profile of the recipe. We have made four recipes this week - all have been easy and delicious. We look forward to meal prepping and cooking, again! Can’t wait to get back on track with healthy eating and our fitness goals.

So Grateful. I know this sounds dramatic but I cried when I found this app. I have struggled with my health and with an eating disorder and I need to plan healthier meals but the more time I spend trying to plan the meal, the more stressed I get and I end up not eating. This app takes every problem I have with meal planning(like calculating calories and macros, finding vegetarian recipes, trying to figure out a grocery list and portions) and solves them all in one app. I was so scared they would waste my time with the quiz just to ask for money but there are so many features available for free. I am considering getting the premium version in the near future because I do want to add my own recipes to the app and unlock the bonus recipes too. This app can quite literally change my life and I am so happy I found it.

Love it!. I’ve used this app for a week now and I love it! You take a quiz that finds the right meal plan for you based on your lifestyle and preferences. I tried the premium version for free for a week and I’m honestly thinking about paying for it. The meal plan makes it super easy as it plans out your week for you and the meals are easy, tasty, and quick to make. If you decide you don’t really feel like eating something you chose for your meal plan, the app allows you to switch it - which I love! As far as the price goes for the premium version, I would say it’s reasonable. For a year subscription, it costs around the same as it would if my husband and I ate out somewhere. I would definitely give it a try if you’re like me and get stumped on what to make throughout the week!

Impressive. I literally just downloaded the app and subscribe for 7 day trial and i am loving it! 1. I love how it connects with my (iOS) health app. 2. I love the variety of foods. 3. I love that I can switch the menu from the pre-selected one; and 4. I love how they have the grocery list itemized! Keep it up! I will make another review after 7day ish. KUDDOS!!! Keep it up

Beware -The picture and recipes are different. I do like this app, and it gives me a lot of new recipes to try, which is the whole point… my main issue is that I am consistently running into recipes where the picture they show and what the recipe calls for are 2 very different things. For example, I made a corn chowder where the picture showed corn, peas, and carrots… the recipe only called for corn. You don’t realize this until it’s prep time because you’re depending on the grocery list to get all the ingredients for multiple recipes. Im a visual person, so I pick my recipes based off the photo they show. It’s been multiple times now where I’ve ended up with a lack luster version of what they are depicting.

Bye Bye Meal Subscription Boxes. This has seriously been a game changer. I used to get the subscription boxes for the ease of meal planning but they were always so expensive and never fit my diet/lifestyle. Enter Intent. Holy cow — this app is the best. It easily lets me plan my meals week to week with so many amazing recipes and fits my diet. The fact that is creates a grocery list and sends it straight to Instacart is what won me over. I had all the groceries for the meals delivered to my door within the hour and easily printed off the recipes for the week. I can’t say enough about this app and have been raving about it to everyone!

Exactly what I needed. I’ve been doing mental gymnastics putting my grocery list together for years to fit my budget, reuse leftovers, and have good tasting healthy vegetarian food. This app does SO MUCH and has great customizable options (ex I like to batch breakfast for the week and eat the same thing everyday - but for dinner I like a different recipe each night, it can do that!) I also love that it sends grocery lists for pick up. I wish sprouts or vons were options (although you can through instacart but I don’t prefer.) Thank you for this app I’ve told all my friends!

Intent is perfect for intentional eating. This app came along at the best time as I’ve been more intentional on eating right and minding my time and it has helped with both! I love the option of excluding those things I prefer not to eat and the ability to assign where to put the highest percentage of calories in the day. The meal options have been tasty thus far -2 thumbs up! You can pick the meal and it creates the grocery list that you modify according to what you need and then you can share the list with the grocery store for pick up!!! This is EVERYTHING and more!!! You’ll love it- trust me!

Great app!. This apps pretty helpful with meal planning. You’re able to select a plan that fits your dietary needs and aligns with your health goals the most. There are specific meal plans like vegetarian and vegan options but those require a subscription. You can still use the app for a basic meal plan but you’ll have to look at the ingredients yourself to determine if it’s appropriate for your dietary needs. It even has a section where it shows you all of the ingredients you need to shop for and you can check them off if you already have them in your kitchen. Overall it’s a pretty good app the only problem is the subscription to get the full effect of it.

Simplifies my life!. I have tried multiple free and paid meal planning apps, but Intent is my app of choice for its non bloated UI and ease of use. The app’s simplicity belies its excellent features like the grocery list, repeat/leftovers handling, and menu customization. Meal planning has really helped me to save time, cut decision fatigue, and feel more control over what I’m eating. While there are similar apps out there, I really credit Intent with making the meal planning process much easier (even kind of enjoyable?) which helps me to actually stick with it. The app is free to use, but as a paid subscriber I think the extra features are worth it and I’m happy to support the developers.

Great app!. Stumbled across this app the other day and I wish I had found it sooner! I have been struggling with meal prep and eating healthier recently (working 60+ hours a week). Trying to plan healthy meals, figure out the grocery list, make sure you’re hitting any nutrition or weight loss goals takes HOURS and this app does it almost instantly! I immediately felt a huge weight off my shoulders. Another huge plus - the developers are extremely responsive and definitely seem to care about each user’s experience and input. 😊 There are a few things that could be added to make the app even better - being able to choose from a database to add any snack you want would be ideal. Other things that would be nice would be a spot to log that you ate the meals, maybe a tracker to see overall macros for the day/week and to log and track weight (or the option to). But these aren’t make or break it things - there are other apps that do that - would just be nice to have it all in one. Highly recommend the app.

Great App!!. This is a great app because not only does it allow you to plan your meals but it will also help you with your grocery shopping list & automatically populate the ingredients from the recipes. You can customize your goals, for instance I chose KETO because I love my meat & it’s targeted to help me loose 15 pounds in 4 months, aggressive approach. And it will actually give you the option to go at a slow medium or aggressive path. It is ultimate ease & takes the guess work out of food choices for the week. The ONLY thing I wish was more customizable is the SNACKS tab bc it gives you presets but you can’t add to those presets. A minor tweak that would make this app 5 STARS!

So easy. I have a full time job and I come home and have regular housework like laundry, dishes, and taking care of our pets. I really like this app because it takes some mental work off my plate. It makes a grocery list for me which is AMAZING! It helps me plan meals for not only me but also my husband. It has delicious recipes on here and I like that I can add my own recipes. It is easy to navigate and I can plan for any allergies my husband or I might have. It also comes up with side and snack ideas! I can plan out multiple weeks in advance. My grocery bill is never high because of this app. 10/10 would and have recommend.

The best meal planning app!. I love to cook, but I was struggling with choosing simple and healthy meals. I especially struggled with portion sizing. I thought I was going to have to buy expensive delivered meal kits so that I could learn how to cook for my goals. Then I found Intent, and it has solved all of my meal planning problems. The meals are delicious and easy to prepare. I love the process of sitting down to plan a week’s meals from their robust database. Because the plan is customized for just the two of us I rarely have a backup of leftovers to deal with. This app has radically improved my quality of life. Thank you!

Magical. I happened upon this app in the App Store and I am SO glad I did! First of all, I love supporting small businesses or apps that recently started because there’s so much hope for improvement and find tuning and the developers of this app really seem to care about the satisfaction of the users in their developments. The ease of meal planning, prepping and nutrition info is amazing. I love how easily I could pick out, swap, and adjust meals or serving sizes. Everything comes into a handy grocery list which I can export to my grocery store app as well. The list allows me to check things off as I go and will adjust if I need to add more servings/people to a particular meal. 10/10 recommend

Good enough app. I like this app in the way that it’s so customizable. I can filter for things I don’t like and it’ll still give me recipes to stay within my calorie/macro range. The shopping list is off and not accurate though. For example, Korean beef bulgolgi is on the list this week and flank steak was not on the list. Kind of the main ingredient that I almost didn’t even think about. The pricing for the grocery list is also off. It told me $20 but I ended up spending $100. One thing that I really wish more than anything this had was what kind of protein or what kind of pita bread, hot dogs or peanut butter, etc. because different kinds of things have different calories. If I buy regular bagels but the recipe calls for thin bagels, well now my calories are way off. None of my protein I have are around the calories listed. They’re all way more. This makes it tough because I am relying on this to stay where I need but then when I track the actual, it ends up being more. I think the app is great but should be used as more of a guide than following it completely.

Finally - A meal plan my family likes!. We have had thumbs up from my very picky family on all of the recipes. I love that you can pick and choose the meals and sides and switch it around if necessary. I REALLY love that it sends the groceries I need to my grocery app. My only suggestion would be - I typically never make a new recipe without reading the reviews first. It would be so beneficial to have helpful hints available about meals before I make it for the first time. There’s a star rating but no access to specific feedback or suggestions. That being said, it’s kept me on track for meal planning more than any other meal planning program I’ve tried previously, and the meals are tasty!

Incredible and Easy to Use. Where to begin? This app gives me the flexibility to plan around my life (lunches for the adults only, dinners for the whole family, and oh wait, eating out on Saturday? No problem!), while also making it easy to eat healthy, meal prep for both diet and to save money, and minimize food waste - the grocery list was super easy to use on the fly and it took me under 2 hours to make all of my meals for the week. My picky eater husband came home raving about his lunch today - the recipes have been stellar and really have a nice variation to them. Great flavors and really filling. Incredibly pleased!

Best $50 ever spent. Honestly. I have never reviewed an app before in my life. This is the best meal planning app I’ve ever seen. I have literally seen 3 dietician/nutritionist in the last year to help me with my diet (I do not eat meat and have a LOT of food allergies) so that I can lose weight. Literally, all I’ve wanted them to do is tell me what to feed myself every day and a grocery list for those meals. This app did what the professionals could not do. Also, such a huge bonus, ALL THE RECIPES ARE DELICIOUS AND FILLING. I was able to put in allergies, family members, diet restrictions (pescatarian), how many meals I wanted planned and how many members of the family I was cooking for, for each meal!!! Buy it now.

Making life easier! LOVE IT!. I had no idea what to expect from this app when I saw it advertised on TikTok but SO glad I downloaded! It truly makes it easy: gives a ton of meal ideas based on how you eat, grocery list for it all and you can even order the groceries for delivery from the app. 😩🙌🏾 I was also pleasantly surprised to realize its integrated with MyFitness Pal and easily tracks the meals without you having to enter the whole recipes. 😩🙌🏾 Upgraded to premium immediately! Lol Worth every penny if you’re overwhelmed with having to figure out meal planning and tired of eating the same things over and over!

Time Saving App!. I recently got a membership at my gym with a personal trainer and they introduced me to this app. I want to monitor my eating habits better. In this app, you can log your meals, weight, and exercises. My favorite part of the app is not only having the ability to select the meals you want, but getting the recipe instructions and an automated grocery list. You don’t have to write up a grocery list. What a time saver! Then you can pick up the grocery items from your favorite store. I already cooked my first meal. I highly recommend this app to everyone!

Awesome App. I’ve always struggled with cooking, especially cooking healthy meals. However this app is amazing. Right off the bat it asks you tons of different questions to really personalize your plan! It also helps you with meal planning by telling you when you’ll have leftovers and what not, and you can also edit it to be able to feed more than just yourself. This app does it all tbh. Another really neat function it has is it creates a shopping list for your meals that you’ll be cooking, which is awesome for an inexperienced cooker such as myself. Really really happy with this app and excited to reach my goals while using it!!

Life = changed. I never review anything ever, but this app has my most sincere gratitude. I don’t even know where to begin! This app is so user friendly it’s astonishing. Edits and swaps are so easy. The developers of this app are tremendously skilled. The suggested meals are always normal things I’d make for myself - but having the planning taken care of is a game changer. The auto-disappearing grocery list rocks. Finally, and most importantly, I haven’t had to throw away any food gone bad since I started using this app. I learned how much I overbought groceries before. This app has kept me away from takeout and excited to eat my own meals at home every single day. Truly life changing. Thank you Intent!!

Great App. I’ve shared this app with a handful of people because I’ve found it extremely helpful. I snack more than I eat full meals, mostly due to lack of time and because I run out of ideas on what to eat. I appreciate the diverse meals generated , based on my preferences, dietary restrictions and goals. I’m also fond of how the ingredients are structured into a shopping list that can be sent directly to a store for pick up and the option to check things off the list when shopping for it yourself. There’s the ability to track the meals daily and a host of other features I’m continuing to discover. Definitely a great app!

New App with LOTS OF POTENTIAL. This application is excellent in providing health conscious recipes for a variety of dietary needs from Keto to vegetarian. I’m using the Flexitarian mode where it focuses on heart healthy recipes with less meat and more vegetarian options. The app allows you to modify portions, modify the number of people eating at each meal to ensure accurate portion sizes, then cumulates a grocery list. The staff for the app have been proactive in getting feedback and critique on the apps and are actively responding and making changes. I see this app becoming a whole inclusive dietary monitoring system. Highly recommend to anyone trying to take their health into their own hands.

This App is a game changer!. For years I’ve said, “I just need an app that lets me make a grocery list for healthy meal prep”. This app is it. It saves me so much time, and helps me meal prep quickly without eating the same meal all week. The recipes are delicious and the app is super easy to use. I’ve used Intent for about five months and I’ve cut my grocery bill down by about a 1/3, I don’t waste produce and perishables anymore, and I’ve lost some weight! An idea for the developers: I would love a filter for season! :) I can choose seasonal dishes manually but it would be so cool to filter for “fall” and see all of the pumpkin smoothies and apple dishes!

INTENT is a Godsend for me. It’s said that 90% of the weight loss success starts in the kitchen. Herein lies my problem. I don’t enjoy cooking. I don’t enjoy shopping. I don’t enjoy meal prepping. You get the idea 🙄. However, as cliché as it may sound, INTENT really does take the guesswork out planning, prepping, and shopping for meals. Once I have my weekly meals planned, a grocery list is created. I can then send that list to my Instacart account and have my groceries delivered 👏🏾. I love it! I can tell a lot of thought has gone into this app. Bravo! I’ve truly been telling everyone I know who’s also struggling with sticking to a healthy lifestyle to try this app. Good job!

Amazing App to stay on budget and eat healthy. I’m not a big chef. the recipes in the app are simple and allow me to get motivated to cook. Their ingredients are easy Meaning I don’t have to purchase a bunch of extra things that I might only use once. the link to Instacart is life-changing I make my grocery list through the app based on the meals I want when I’m ready to Instacart I order the food while I start cooking - it’s a huge timesaver. I was able to reduce my monthly grocery budget by $500 and my eating out budget by $300. helps me stay on track for the DAVE RAMSEY plan. extremely good customer support. I love this app and I tell all my friends about it.

This is the one. After having tried the free trials of what seems like every meal planning diet app there is, I stumbled upon an intent as on Facebook, and decided I would add it to my list of failed diet apps. Intent is the one. This app does EVERYTHING. Food preferences, allergies, macro targets, weight targets, recipes, grocery list for said recipes, it does it all. You can even add people to your household. So in my household is me, my wife, and my son; all of whom have different calorie targets and it takes that into account! It takes almost all of the guesswork out of it. THE only thing I wish intent had was the suggested serving sizes for each dish. I’ll eat more servings than my wife but it never specified what the servings are.

It’s so close to being great. The app is almost amazing. They have a ton of food choices that aren’t ridiculous like some other app. The things I want to see though: 1. Allow you to pick your sides before it adds them. The sides are clearly chosen from an algorithm that bases it off calories but they don’t even match the meal or you’ll have a yogurt bowl and then it’ll add yogurt as a side choice. And with that, let you search through actual sides. There are so many more things than just the 6 fruits they pick. 2. Allow you to meal prep with your partner. 3. Allow you to edit the portion amounts for meals. 4. Let you say you’re having a meal somewhere else so it doesn’t increase your portions in the meal to meet your calorie intake for the day.

Fantastic!!. This app is great for someone who’s new to meal preparation, dieting, and just wanting to learn how to cook. I’m new to all this and I found it easy to make my weeks worth of meals (all 3 plus snacks) the app puts together a shopping list for you, it calculates calories and macros based off your goals and activity level, you can portion for yourself or for a family of any size from what I can see, and the options for cuisines are endless. The interface is easy to navigate you can add your own recipes and you can pick through foods you don’t like so you always have something you agree with in the suggestions. I give this app 5 stars if you are lost in the idea of meal prep and diets download this app and enjoy!!

Great start. This is a great app but it would be better if you could input some of the nutrition facts for things like protein shakes since the actual type you purchase differs from what the app says. It would be better if you could scan the label as well or if you modify something for the day and eat something else, you could scan the package to update your calories and macros. Also, it’s be better if the recipes called for actual amounts of some of the store bought items. For example, I shouldn’t use 3/4 of a can of soup, unless another recipe calls for the remaining 1/4 because it’s wasteful. Overall, great app, love the shopping list and ease of planning meals. It has definitely gotten me out of my rut.

Finally, an app that keeps me on track. I found this app randomly and it came at the perfect time! I’ve been going on and on about meal prepping but the hardest part was figuring out what i wanted to eat for the week, then figuring out the ingredients, going through my kitchen, planning a day to go shopping, budgeting, etc., etc. This app makes EVERYTHING so easy! I’ve been telling my friends and family about it. I even sent the app to my co-worker for her and her sister to try. I absolutely love it. It takes away all the hard parts about meal prepping. My favorite feature is the creation of the grocery list that I can easily send to my grocery store to have delivered! Chefs kiss!!

Best meal planning app, creates your grocery list!. I haven’t been using this app for very long but I love it! I’ve been switching through meal planning and tracking apps for years but have never been able to find one that had what I was looking for. Intent does! Have always been okay at making a meal plan, but the grocery list is always where I struggle. This app has been great for that, the list is in categories and as a checklist making shopping anywhere super easy! Also love that you can indicate likes, dislikes, allergies, dietary preferences. You can also swap recipes for any meals you may not want. Highly suggest trying this app!

Loving it!. I love this app so far! The recipes are fantastic and tasty. Usually, I have a hard time finding things I'll like because i want things to be quick when im meal planning but I'm king of a picky eater. This app leaves out things i don't like while staying within my parameters of length of time I'm willing to put in to cooking. They take me about 20 minutes to complete and they're flavorful and amazing. I can also pick substitutions for sides directly in the app when choosing my next week of meals. It's keeping me on track eating fresh foods and no takeout without all the pressure of most meal plan/dieting apps. I can't recommend this app enough!

Great app, but one major problem for some…. This app is pretty good, but please beware that it is an iOS ONLY app right now, and the company doesn’t know if or when it will be available on other platforms. So, if you switch from your iPhone or if a partner doesn’t have an iOS device, y’all won’t be able access the app. You can send yourself a link with the grocery list for an non-iPhone, but the interface is extremely limited and you can’t see which ingredients go with which meal unless you’re in the app. So, shopping can be a challenge. That probably won’t be a problem for most people, but unfortunately, I paid for the subscription before I knew about the limitations.

Helps plan meals on a budget. I have been wanting something like this app for a long time. I have ADHD and I always make a grocery list during the week - but I come home from shopping and spending a ton of money just to realize I don’t have anything to put together actual meals. This app helps me eat better and save money by helping me visualize what I’ll actually eat during the week. What I love about this app is that you pick the meals you want to make for the week and it sorts all the ingredients into a master grocery list , including how much of the ingredients you’ll need.

Makes Life a Little Easier. I have been pleasantly surprised by the ease of this app. It takes the guess work out of meal planning and shopping. One thing to keep in mind if you order your groceries for pickup through the app is to make sure you verify the numbers of each item. For example, the grocery list through Intent said 20 eggs, and the grocery store affiliated with the app understood it as 20 dozen eggs. So, do your due diligence to check the list and modify accordingly before paying. On another note, my family tends to be a bit picky. The good news is that they have liked all the recipes so far. Fingers crossed that continues. This app has definitely made my life a little easier.

A solid app with needed improvements. First off I want to say this is a very wonderful app with features I love including Apple Health Sync, and the Stores that just automatically show you the items so no guesswork is needed, however I do have one main issue. So, when the grocery haul is finished and the groceries are bought for your current meal plan, there is no way to reuse those items for(or in) your next meal plan, allowing food waste. Second, the meal plans are picky, but in a good way. Since the food waste is an issue, I keep on “reusing” the items from the last meal plan. It’s wonderful but if that is updated that would be nice like possibly an algorithm that knows the ingredients on your grocery items and uses those to make other dishes so we don’t waste food!

The best meal planning app. This app is amazing! I love that if I have a certain diet to stick to they give you that option. The meals are fantastic and the actual layout of the app is amazing! Problems that I have had with other apps is it’s not easy to get rid of certain meals (example: most apps make you put down a breakfast, but this app I can delete breakfast or only delete certain days, etc.) and the customer support team is amazing, and very quick to respond. Mind you, I have only reached out to customer service to make recommendations or ideas that I feel would help make the app even better. I have gotten many of family to get on board with this app you should too!

Best Meal Planning App EVER. This app is everything I’ve been looking for! I’ve always dreaded cooking because of the planning it takes and my indecision. Intent instantly does all that work for you! It is so easy to use and user-friendly: don’t like a meal option? No problem, you can easily switch it out! I love that it also immediately populates a categorized grocery list you can edit and add things to! I can’t believe how much Intent has transformed my cooking and made it not only healthier, simpler, and quicker, but also more enjoyable! Favorite thing I’ve implemented this year by far!!

You’ve gotta try this!. I’ve been looking for a good way to change my eating habits and haven’t been able to find something that worked for me until I tried this! This app works amazing, I struggled every time going to the store to decide on what I would cook for dinner that week until I started this. Now I go in and use the list it gives me for my planned meals (no set time when to eat them!) and after grabbing everything on the list it encourages me to buy healthier snacks. I don’t normally say this about apps like this. But this one is definitely in it for the best you!

Awesome App!. This app is really good! Way better than other apps out there! It is flexible and inclusive! It also has so many different varieties of recipes to help you achieve your health/weight goals! It is so easy to use and user friendly! I love how they even check in on you personally to see how you are liking the app and if you have questions or concerns! It makes it even more personal! I’m trying out so many different and new recipes on here with very little cooking experience! My food turned out to be delicious! I would recommend this app to everyone!

Awesome tool to a tasty and healthy meal planning. A real practical and genius application , I find it exiting to try the recipes while I can keep an eye on my carb intake ,calories and proteins ; it helps me to plan my week, I Can chose to skip breakfast on my planning and it will adjust my calories and protein on my manu . Plus if you are missing items on the shopping list it transfer your list to instacart to do the shopping and you have remainders for your shopping . I am a believer on this application and will give update after a month of using the app to loose weight . Thanks you for making this available to everybody .

Timesaver. One of the most daunting task as a working Mom is knowing what to make for dinner. I tell my family all the time if you would just tell me what to make for dinner it would be so helpful. This app does that and so much more. It has been a game changer and has freed up so much time. Planning my meal with food me and my family likes, it also gives you a grocery list that you can easily send to Kroger. The recipes are easy to make and we have enjoyed them very much. This app will be a tool I will be using for many year to come. I want to thank the developers for freeing up my time and my family thanks you for the yummy food!!

In love!!!!. The creators of this app did a great job! To set it up correctly it will take about 15-20 minutes but they ask so many great questions. It guides you through the process with ease, they included many options and ways to tailor to your exact wants. I highly recommend this app worth every penny of the paid membership!!! For someone with a limited diet they have a vast recipe catalog still with many options. They break everything down for you and will even write your grocery list down to the exact amount you need. Can’t wait to see the dietary results I get in the long run!!

Mucho gracias. I am very pleased with this app. It takes the stress out of cooking especially if you have allergies or special dietary needs. You can tailor your needs in the app and then it automatically creates a grocery list and step by step recipes. It takes into account left overs, snacks and new meals and you can adjust those as well! And the meals are delicious! I also appreciate the team that had created this app, they personally reached out just to check in on what I think. Customer service makes a huge impact on me and I very much approve! Thanks for making cooking fun Intent team!

Surpasses any food app. As a software dev myself this app is beyond impressive. Figures out what foods you like and don’t like + can add allergies , and when you want to get the ingredients for a meal you simply just press a button to get the ingredients delivered from a nearby store. Being in a city this is beyond easy and surpasses anything I’ve used. Makes finding what I want to eat 10x easier. Would recommend to anyone honestly. Can use it to lose weight, track nutrients, or even just find recipes. All recipes I’ve tried have been amazing. Truly impressive and well designed software

I’m not one to rely on apps, but I do love this one.. I love this app! I don’t do fad diets and I’m suspicious of apps which promise the world—“lose weight while overeating,” “learn a language in two days with no effort,” etc. Also, my husband and I are vegans, and we find that a lot of vegan recipes are dull and tasteless or require exotic ingredients which aren’t always easy to find. This app is easy to use and has helped me plan a week’s worth of meals ahead of time and shop for the ingredients I need, which are simple and easy to find in any grocery store. I love the recipes and the nutritional information which comes with them. 👍🏼

The meal planning app I never knew I needed. This app is a simple and easy way to be intentional with your nutrition goals while also exploring the joy of cooking and new recipes! The platform is intuitive and the setup is easy. I love the interactive grocery shopping list feature that allows you to “check off” items as you shop. This only in my second week, but following a full week of adherence to my plan I observed my target weight loss (my personal focus, you set your own). Super excited to make it through the holidays and continue working the meal plans!

Putting a price on health. For people who don’t know how to eat healthy this is the perfect app. Helps you plan and shows you the recipes for the different food choices. People would try to put a price on praying if they could. We live in a consumer economy where money is thrown around to easily on things tht should b free. The world needs to look at the things it charges before it’s to late. Food already has a price too it, something essential to humans like space, water and air. The only thing they can’t charge for is air yet. We as a society must b different and think different within the inside to out. There’s no reason to why an app should b charging anyone a fee to learning how to eat better. American school already failed us there. They don’t give us a chance to actually try to live. Stronghold things we need, and need to know with money.

Game changer. I used the apps trial and it’s incredible. Now I’m gonna pay for a full subscription. The fact that you can select foods you don’t like is incredible. This is a true meal planning app and it’s awesome. 100% recommend for anyone like me who didn’t know what food to make in order to get into shape. A feature that would be cool is if MyFitnessPal had an API that would allow recipes to be sent between apps. That way I could log recipes in MyFitnessPal without having to retype them. Not sure if it’s possible, but might be worth trying? Thanks y’all, the dev team is killing it 🫡

Love this app!. Makes my life so much easier planning my meals for me. And not just me! You can add family members too. So what you cook and the amount of groceries you need ends up being for the whole family if you want it to be. Saves me so much money on not buying things I won’t use and will just go bad. Plus I love how they make the grocery list for you and then it’s as easy as sending it to your local grocery store and buying it online and just picking it up! Plus if you don’t like what they created for you on a certain day you can replace it with SO MANY other options that will still be within your calorie limit!

Love this app. BEST app for meal planning if you like to make your own food. It beats buying meal plans of pre-made food, because with this you’re going to the store and buying real ingredients and you’re making it yourself. So you’re very conscious about what is going into your body. Great if you have a weight goal you’re trying to obtain, but not sure how to get there. It lays out daily calorie intake for you, and having been a vegetarian for 9 years, these recipes are the best I have found yet. every recipe I have made so far has been DELICIOUS, and also relatively simple to create. 10/10 would recommend.
