Not magic. The magic remote is chaos. The pointer is wild n hard to land n stay. Pointer moves while clicking. Very difficult to get guides. Difficult to learn. We exchanged tvs to get a no-magic remote.

Terrible app. App full of slot machine game downloads and force closes itself all the time . Complete waste

Pop-ups, Freezing and Glitching OH MY!. I accidentally spilled acetone on my bed and somehow on my remote and it was hard to use at first but the buttons have finally unstuck and are able to use except for the top button which you have to press really hard for it to even go up (I think it’s broken) but I was looking for a free app to help with my problem so I download this one right.... but... the pop ups are ridiculous and keeps freezing and won’t even let me click out of the app..... it’s so FRUSTRATING! All I want to do is be able to watch my fire stick and I’m having a real problem doing so ...

No use if you lost your remote. This app requires you to have a remote before it will work. So don’t waste your time downloading it if you lost/broke your remote.

HORRIBLE. i used it on my BRAND NEW fire stick bc the remote came broken. i ordered the new remote though🤞. it was very delayed and i had a WONDERFUL time with the ads every 5-10 seconds. i understand this company needs to make money but maybe if they made a better working app, i’d be okay with it. tip: give video ads instead of constant pop ups

Fire stick. It’s good but it just got too many ads

Totally worthless. It shows the remote view for half a second then jumps to a page you can’t move off of. Nothing works.

Finally an app that works. Paid the 1.99 to remove the adds because this app it’s worth it. Works excellent. I’ve used 3 other apps and they want a monthly fee, that’s insane.

Worthless. This doesn't work at all. I try to link the remote up with my fire stick and it just keeps trying to get me to download a universal remote which I don't need.

Good luck trying to bypass ads!. I really hope there’s someone so wily they managed to use the remotes without it popping up an ad that you can’t minimize. I quit the app each time. 7 minutes later I still can’t use the remote. I purchased it—it’s deceptive to “nag” or pester the user with ads as punishment so one gets so fed up they “forced” to buy the app. It was only $1.99 but it wasn’t worth the aggravation. I’m deleting the app, never using it again—but giving a BMW and is review do that the developers don’t use this tactic anymore to sell an app. That’s BS.

Ads are ubiquitous. This app holds you hostage by pushing ads that cannot be easily eliminated. So I begrudgingly paid 1.99 to get rig of them

Ridiculous!. Isn’t there anything that just works? The ad says it works directly. So I download it, and then it asks for the original remote. If I still had the original remote, I wouldn’t need this app. Unbelievable!

Okay, a bit delayed.. I only got this after a couple minutes but first impressions are key and I tried it out and the tv responding was delayed.

Waste of time. Tried installing as I lost my firestick remote. App clearly states no remote needed yet when installing it asks you to use original remote to go to settings. If I had remote I wouldn’t be trying this. Also, I’ve messaged twice (after tapping “talk to human” icon). There is no human-you’re sent to messaging, which as of 4 days ago, there’s been no reply. States they’ll reply in 1 day. Save your time and frustration. Too bad I have to give 1 star in order to submit review. 0 is accurate

Won’t let me cancel. Wanted to try this out and it offered a 3 day free trail but won’t let me cancel the app before that. There’s no resources online on how to cancel. So I am going to be charged for an app I didn’t like. I hope the owner of this app can contact my so I can cancel this app.

Didn’t work for me. Didn’t work wouldn’t connect.

It’s kind of slow. I installed this app and was treated to an ad every 5 to 10 seconds. Fair enough, they have to make money right? Having an ad play while you’re trying to type in a search adds another five minutes to any kind of search you’re doing. So I paid 2 bucks for the ad free app. I’m not sure if it’s the app or my internet that lags but when I press and “buttton” it takes a second for that action to show up on the tv. Other than that, the app works really well. Do yourself a favor and pay the 2 dollars for the full app to get rid of the ads.

Fix Bugs. I downloaded this app and it did not work at all. Every time I open the App, it closes in a few seconds. When the app was open, it did not let me press any buttons. The App itself needs to be upgraded and I would not recommend this to anyone.

Total garbage. The app cant stay on for more than thirty seconds witjout crashing. Oh, and during that thirty seconds there were ads. Enough said. Garbage.

Continuous Ad pop ups. I understand as a free app you need ads for your app to stay up. But why whenever I use the remote, a video ad pops up all the time, not allowing me to get to my destination in a timely matter like using a regular remote. But what’s really funny is when the application is open, and I’m not using the remote, no video ads play.

How Sway. How can I change settings on my system if I don’t have the remote?? That’s the whole point of downloading the remote control, because I don’t have it.

it not reliable. out of nowhere it stopped working then when tried to find a new app to use it kept going back to this one and even after deleting and reinstalling it still doesn’t work. it’s not very reliable it just stopped working out of nowhere

Could not find the Fire TV, could not find support. Our closest neighbour is 2 miles away so when the app suggested a kitchen device when we don’t have one and is unable to find the firestick I find that concerning. Tried the manual setting but could not find the fire IP address. Tried the Support link didn’t take me to support for the app. Going to uninstall app now.

Works fine. Missing microphone button.. Works fine with my Fire TV. Pays for itself in fewer battery purchases as the remote is a battery hog.

Crashes Immediately. Couldn't get it to even open without crashing. Don't bother. Amazon just wants you to give up and get a whole new fire stick. It's all about marketing and forcing consumers to just throw away more of their hard-earned money in our disposable society. Just wanted a free remote to replace a lost remote for a fire stick on a small Kitchen TV. Not going to bother with it.

Scam. I cannot believe how many Fire TV remote apps there are! And most of them are scams like this one. Amateurishly implemented so the lag is bad. Make you put your Fire TV in jeopardy by turning on debug mode. Debug mode? Really? That’s not professional! How do these apps get into Apple’s App Store? And don’t get me started about the pestering with pop up ads that are a blatant attempt to beat the user into submitting to paying for a subscription. DO NOT PAY FOR AN APP THAT USES THESE TACTICS! Apple, you need to kick these so called developers to the curb! They are polluting the Apple ecosystem like invasive species. If I wanted to deal with this type of ugliness, I would have chosen an Android phone. Maybe it’s time to reconsider my loyalty to the Apple brand.
