Cute App!!. Very cute app. It’s a great motivator to get out there and start walking. The only issue is that there is no option to walk a pitbull or a French bulldog. Instead I’m walking my bf dog lol. But other than that I love it.

Not as advertised. The dog only shows up on the newest Apple Watch (series 5). Shows in fine print. Otherwise only shows your progress on the main screen. Also purchased the additional animal pack (prior to knowing it wouldn’t show on my home screen) and it’s not bringing up the animal I chose on my watch :/ Disappointed...

Very cute app/watch face but…. The little default dog/beagle is the only dog that shows in default. When I tap the dog it shows the breed I actually picked and paid for in app. Wish it would show the breed I chose all the time.

Thanks YW! Excellent support!. I upgraded to Apple Watch 6 and the modular face said it did not support this app. I contacted support and YW made suggestions on things to try to get my pup on the new watch. I don’t know what magic he performed or what he said to Apple, but now my little friend is on my new watch. Thank you YW!

Fun but could really use some enhancements. I am loving the app! It’s helping to motivate me to walk more because I want to walk my dog. I think it would be cool to add things like more animation so the dog can walk across the screen more like a tamagotchi pet! Also if we can play with the dog with different fitness games. Petting the dog doesn’t really do much, but if the dog had more animation, then it would be really interesting to play and pet the dog. As someone who lost 2 dogs recently, this has been a cute supplemental way to have something in “remembrance” of them while keeping active.

Not a watch face. I was looking for a fun interactive watch face. This was cute, but I was disappointed after purchasing that it was just an app not an actual face. Should not be considered a watch face.

More dog breeds please!. I'd love to have more dog breeds/options. By options I mean like ears cropped or tails docked. Like different preferences of the breed standard colors and looks. Also maybe collar color changes. More not so popular dog breeds like german shorthaired pointers, and great danes, and doberman pinschers. But overall i've never had any problems w/ this app on my phone or watch. I LOVE THIS APP!! Highly recommended to all my friends!

Wanted to like it.. You have to pay monthly to join/ challenge other people. You can’t pick your dog/toys/ or weather unless you buy it on top of the monthly fee. Won’t connect to my Apple Watch..

App review. I love this app only problem I have is that I spent the money to have access to all the dogs, which I have but I have it on random and it says u get a new dog each day. I haven’t, I have to go on and change the dog myself.

Always 1 step. No matter what I do my step count on this app says 1 step. I sent an email awhile back and still have not heard anything. Stopped paying for it as a result. Don’t pay for it!!!!

Leaderboard is fake. Put more effort in the leaderboard if you are offering it as a feature. Fake pets on there where they will have over 20k steps Monday morning and never took another step again and just simply disappear. It’s not worth the monthly subscription.

Um. I think the photos are a little mid guiding because it shows the pet being in the front face but instead you have to go on the app on your watch to see the pet. Is there any way for you to add the pet to the watch face?

Only weekly subscription available?. I like the app and don’t mind paying a reasonable fee. However, I don’t want to pay on a weekly basis. An option for annually would be great.

I don’t see the complication. Do u have to have a newer watch i only have a series 3 and don't see the the complications

Love this app. This is a simple app but I love the idea of a virtual pet that I can watch & see how I’m doing based on my step count. Looking forward to seeing more dog choices like a Rottweiler 😊.

Where are my steps. I've had this for a few weeks now and though it's pretty to look at (once you get the location package and dog selection package), I don't see it ever recording steps I've done. Last night I walked to the grocery store and back which is about 25 minutes (that's not including the steps I've made inside the store). When I returned home, it said 0 steps made. I've yet to get this dog to sleep because it never tracks my steps. What's up with that y'all?!

Bummer!!. Such a cute app!! A coworker had shown me this on her Apple Watch and I immediately downloaded it and paid to get all of the dogs and cats!! When I got home from work and tried to add it onto my watch, it wouldn’t set up.......leave it to me to NOT READ that you’ve gotta have an Apple series 4 or higher for it to work!!! 😭😭🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️.

Fun Pups and Kittens. This is a fun app and it keeps me walking. I have upgraded to different dogs each day But That complication is not automatic. As I have a cat, I take her for a walk. This app needs a bit of tweating and it will be perfect for me. TY

Simple & Cute. Such a fun & cute way to keep track of my step goal. Also love the Apple Watch face feature since I can’t change one of my ring goals to a step goal. However, when I upgraded in the app, the button to change my step goal disappeared. Upset about that, otherwise would’ve been 5 stars for me.

Give me back my cat. The latest update took away the only cat option. PLEASE put it back. I don’t have any dogs and I loved having a cat that looked like mine walk with me. That’s why I paid for the app in the first place. 😭😭😭 Edit: To answer your question I was using the tuxedo cat. It would also be nice to have a solid white cat and a Siamese as well. :) 2nd edit: CATS ARE BACK!! THANK YOU!! Awesome service from developers and now have given them their rightful score of five stars. You made my day, I can alternate between all three of my cat children now. 😻😻Thank you again!

Step goal won’t change on my Apple Watch. This is a fun little app but I can’t get it to change the step goal on my Apple Watch. It stays at 10,000 no matter what I set it at on my phone. Help? I have emailed the developers with no response.

Need one time purchase for everything except competitions.. This app is awesome but should offer a one time purchase for everything ( including weather ) except competitions. The competitions should be the monthly charge. Charge more for the initial up front dog breeds and toys and weather. I’d be willing to pay for it all for $12. But I don’t need the monthly fee but I’d like the weather. I can’t do competitions I’m too old for that.

Love it. Fun to compete against similar users or people who live near. It’s anonymous but helps me step it up. I use on my iPhone and Apple Watch.

PLEASE SEE THIS!!. I love this app it’s cute but I have series 3 Apple Watch I’ve seen some reviews about this that the modular screen won’t show my dog it just says step dog please fix this for my 5 stars!!!

Super Fun App. Found it randomly in the App Store and downloaded it for my Apple Watch and loved it! I love petting it and hear it bark as it encourages me to get in my steps. Since downloading it I’ve been more motivated to reach 10,000 steps. I wish the dog would move and walk around without you having to tap it. I also wish the accessories like the dog house and the food were free. Other than that I highly recommend.

Super cute but doesn’t work. The step counter on it doesn’t work. Has read 1 step 0% all day for me. Bummer bc it is so cute.

Cute but needs tweaking. The pup only shows up on the modular info screen and only in certain positions- like the middle. Otherwise it shows only the name. It needs more room for display hence only certain positions in the face will show the pup. Also it’s a slow to synch. I use other step counters and they keep Up to date. I have to tap on it often times and pet pup to update steps. Other than that it’s fun to use!

Good. Just wanna say it is a great game but the only thing I don’t like is that it won’t work on my I watch series 3 so please make it work for I watch 3

Not showing up. Hello! I found this app and downloaded it immediately because I love dogs and have an Apple Watch! I have the same phone number and account on my watch and iPad, the only thing I don’t have is the app, and it’s on my moms phone. The dog will not show for the watch face. My mom got the same app and everything worked perfectly, so it’s a great app for her!

Cute, but needs minor adjustments. I’ve used the Pedometer step app for years until I discovered this adorable gem of an app two days ago. I love dogs so this was a no brainer for me to try. However I’ve been disappointed that StepDog doesn’t record your steps and store the information. On the Pedometer step app, I can see how many steps I’ve taken for several days in a clear bar graph if I open the app. I do not mind paying for Location services if I felt that the app had all the things I wanted.

Cute idea but needs some love. Really cute idea and I was excited to start tracking my steps instead of just my rings, but it has some issues. I’ll probably look for one that works a bit more consistently rather than pay the 99 cent fee every month. It doesn’t sync unless you open the app and close it again a couple of times, which kind of defeats the purpose of having it in your watch face. Also, I’m not sure why it won’t let me leave the “competition” I’m in. It randomly puts you up against 4 unknown people but I don’t see any way to opt out. If they could clean up the glitches and charge a one-time fee instead of 98 cents forever, I’d definitely give this one another shot.

I Love StepDog. I love StepDog cuz I am the type of person to want to have fun and I feel like StepDog is super fun and I love it so much and it’s the only app like this but my daughter likes to use most of them she find boring every day she tells me about if she reached her goal or not.🐶🏃🏽‍♀️🐈🐱🏃🏼

Cute app but a couple things…. First off this is a very cute and fun way to track your steps but a couple things… First I wish all the stuff for your dog was free but that’s ok Next for some reason my dog doesn’t bark on the watch app which is kind of annoying but everything else is good! App won’t open. I subscribed for the paid version so I could switch the dog but now the app won’t open anymore. Will delete if issue isn’t resolved.

App not recognized on series 5 watch.. I bought the app with all of the in app purchases. The app says it doesn’t recognize my watch. My phone and watch have be updated to their latest versions. This was a complete waste of money and I wish I could get a refund!

Good, but could be great. This app only words on one watch face, even though multiple faces support the middle complication size. Also the weather does not show up on my watch. I get no clouds, just a blank space

Step count off by 2500 steps. Step count off by 2500 steps consistently daily, annoyed by this app. Cute dog but the app doesn’t work. There is no way to get the app to sync to my phone to get the right step count. Lame

Only works for the newest watches. I bought a new series three for Black Friday 2020, but apparently there’s an even “newer “ series 4 out! My pet passed away several years ago and when I saw his breed was in premium I quickly upgraded. I was so sad to see that the pet wouldn’t appear on my phone and found out it was because I had an “old” Apple Watch. People, I bought this Watch new, not refurbished. I hope they decide to cater to previous series and if they will in the future I’ll change this review.

Glitchy. App continues to monitor daily steps progress, but the app itself no longer opens for even the most basic information.

Not great, not awful. I was bummed to see that there isn't a free cat option. I know it's StepDOG, but still.. Maybe make one free and/or make a StepCat app. Also, it takes forever to set up on the Apple Watch. And despite my watch being on silent and the volume being all the way down, it barks at me. Loudly.

Need a schnauzer!. I love this app! It’s adorable and great for tracking steps. Only reason it didn’t get the full 5 stars is I was disappointed there wasn’t a miniature schnauzer!!

This must be a scam. Saw this on TT. Thought I’d try, looks cute. Doesn’t work. My health app has 5,000 steps. StepDog stays consistent at 0 steps. Tried everything. Set my goals on the app, ran phone & watch updates, uninstalled/reinstalled - all the things. Now StepDog is all over my TT FYP. Certain now these are paid influencers. Will delete app.

Love it!. I love this app. I just wish Australian Shepherd was a dog breed option to choose. It’s so cute and motivates me to walk more to reach my goals.

So cute! However…. Love the idea behind this app, it’s fun addition to my Apple Watch and works well. However, after the 10.0.1 Apple Watch update, the size of the dog became really small. Hoping this can be fixed with an update because I’ve stopped using it since this happened.

Dogs. Have to just have the one dog and it’s confusing the set up. Have yet to have it for awhile so hopefully will be ok so far not impressed

Terrible. DO NOT GET It looked really good and I thought it would be fun but… 1. You have to pay for other dogs. It’s stupid there’s so many different and cute dogs but you have to pay! I’m not gonna pay for something like this!! 2. It won’t show up on my Apple Watch. The whole reason I downloaded this was so I could have it on my Apple Watch and so call “look after a dog” but it won’t even sync onto my watch! 3. You have to wait 3 HOURS for your pet to hatch. This is just ridiculous 3 hours just for my pet to hatch!

Just what I needed. I love this app because it showes me my step count and the weather with a cute dog that encourages me to keep going. Making the app work and sync across to the phone but the devoloper nearly relied instantly with support.

I installed this app because I was watching YouTube and I found a video about this app the dogs looked so cute so I installed this app but when I installed I noticed that I can change dogs but when I tried to change you have to pay and I actually did not to pay so do you think you can actually make some dogs free please? Very disappointed. I’m a wheelchair user and have an Apple Watch and my health app SET TO WHEELCHAIR. Yet this app refuses to count it. Only counts steps. BE BETTER THAN THIS, fix this issue. Disabled people are not an afterthought. I’m so annoyed by this, inclusivity is not something that should be forgotten.

Doesn’t work. Wanted to used the Husky for my avatar, however, it will only show the beagle on my watch face.

You have to pay weekly to customize the dog.. Make upgrading to choose your own dog not a monthly fee.

Price. I was so exited to get this app but I could only get the hound I love the variation of dog breeds but they cost money so Mabey have a couple more free ones please
