App is Worhless. The restaurant is great but the app is pointless. Twice I’ve tried to place ASAP orders only to be given a wait time of 48-55 minutes. I decided to just go and order in person. There were no customers in the store, and the staff didn’t seem to be preparing any orders. Since I arrived a half hour before closing, they weren’t thrilled that I had a five meal order. But if the app had a better timing mechanism they would have received my order 20 minutes earlier and likely had it done by the time I arrived. In the meantime, 5 people entered the store after me even closer to closing. So the ridiculous wait times for an app order are useless for the customer and do not appear to serve the staff well either.

Very kind and courteous employees. We had biked 15 miles on the Legacy Trail and connecting roads with our 13 year old son and he was very hungry. He wanted to go to TSC! We arrived on our bikes and I had my app but I didn’t have my cc input into the app to pay. Your very kind employee offered to make us our order of 2 smoothies and a chicken cheese quesadilla and then we could come back to pay as we lived about 10 minutes away by bike. We did just that as we then biked home and my husband immediately took his truck back to TSC to pay. He paid yet wanted to personally thank the kind employee…but she was not there. She is an Angel! He tipped her fellow co worker so hopefully she will get her share of the tip. 👍🌟

If only I could use my gift card as a payment method…. The only issue I have with the app is that there is no place to insert my gift card as a payment method. It saves a lot of time to order ahead and pick it up, so it is unfortunate that this is not an option with a gift card. I will not be getting any more gift cards for Tropical Smoothie Cafe for this reason, even though I love your smoothies. I hope you all will make it possible to add a gift card as payment in the future. Otherwise, the app is great!

Tropical Smoothie experience. My initial visit was through the drive through. A beautiful girl with black velvet long hair and awfully long false eyelashes took my order and gave me the wrong order. When I stated that she may have mistakenly given me the the wrong order, she insisted that it was my order. I paid and received someone else’s meal. I ordered a Triple Berry Blast and I received a blasted cheesy chicken tortilla wrap, strawberry smoothie and ranch sun chips. I planned for 450 calories vs the more than 1600 calories I received. Thank God I met a homeless man on the back street toward the THOP East Hospial. Meal was given to him. Reason I did not argue with Tropical Smoothie Cafe Staff member was because I was hurrying to get back to my husband who was on life support and frankly did not have the emotional fortitude to argue. Have visited 4 times since and have received correct orders. Customer Service is a must.

Tropical smoothie centerville va. Most amazing and most consistent smoothie location Only bad part is the location in Chantilly wasn’t as good when it comes to customer service on the management part. I spoke to one of the managers and they couldn’t even communicate with me in English and didn’t want to speak over the phone when I called so I had to come in and ask the questions I had to one of kids that were working that day. Thanks again tropical smoothie for making my day!

Excellent Smoothies. I loved my smoothie very much! It was filled with green veggies and healthy tropical fruits served up like a breath of fresh air on a hot summer day, a veritable concoction of healthy benefits in a glass! I had the detox smoothie and was very satisfied and will definitely have this again as well as every other item on the menu which has so many things I can’t keep track of them all. This will be a critical step in overcoming cancer for me to have the fresh fruits and veggies daily with the convenience of not having to make them myself. Thank you for having this wonderful service to meet our nutritional needs.

I love my detox smoothie every day!. I can’t get through my day without the detox green smoothie. I add a few supplements to it, making it the perfect appetite suppressant through out the day. I could live on these smoothies I love them so much. For bosses day, my staff gave me a tropical smoothie gift card along with a beautiful gift basket full of treats. My fav item was the gift card! I will use it today! If u haven’t tried the green detox smoothie, u don’t know what your missing! Low calorie, no guilt, healthy drink! I’m ordering four- all for me! Lol. I’m not even kidding, not even a little. I’m hooked! The app only allows my reward points to be used a little each day. That is annoying. But I’ll try to figure out a better way to utilize my rewards to save more. I’m blowing a lot of $ each and every day 7 days a week……but I am hooked! I can’t skip a day no matter what! Thank you tropical smoothie! 🥰

LOVE IT, but I wish you could add gift cards. Words cannot explain how much I love this app. It’s easy to navigate, is always up to date, and the rewards are amazing! However, my only criticism I have is that you can’t add gift cards on the app (like you would for Starbucks) for payment. The only way you can pay is via credit or debit card, and I think that adding a gift card feature would make this app that much better since I wouldn’t have to go and wait in-store just to use one.

Fix the app. As of June 2022 the new app is crap. There is no way to communicate problems through the app to the corporation and or the developer . I have a red notification ball outside of the app with no way of getting rid of it ( there’s no notifications section)😂and the red ball is annoying to look at on the Home Screen ! There’s not even a proper department to talk to if you the corporate phone ( I left a message through the personal department. Problem #2 ,I can’t use my perks when ordering ahead of time because they don’t show up in the total bill. I have to go into the store to use them. So what’s the use of using this app. The corporate needs to fire the developer of the app .I love the smoothie store but hate the app. I will change this review when they fix the app. Thank you

Love tropical rewards!!. This app is a game changer. It so much easier to place my favorite orders vs waiting to get in store to order and having to wait. They save all your favorite items so you can just tap one button and it’s ready to go! Super easy to use, love racking up my points and getting free smoothies and food items as well. If you frequent tropical smoothie, or even if you’re like me and just like having a healthy option to grab real quick on your way to work or the gym, this app is a lifesaver! ❤️❤️

Easy to order!. The app is great for placing orders ahead of time and building rewards. I also like that it tells you of promotions going on - the nearest tropical smoothie is about 15 minutes from me so seeing if there are deals ahead of time helps a lot! The notifications are kind of buggy (it'll say there are three notifications on the app but then when you open the app it's not clear what the notifications are) but i love the app!

Constantly down and full of bugs. Seriously who is running Tropical Smoothie’s servers? There are constant outages and errors in the app. This place makes it so frustrating to order on the app. I eat here frequently so maybe I have a bit of bias because I use the app more, but my goodness I have never used a service that is down so frequently. Here are a few bugs: - Whenever the app updates, it removes your saved cards. It shows them in your settings, but will act as if there are none when you go to the payment screen. (more mismanagement of the app) - If you remove or substitute anything, go to the payment page, and go back and change something else, it resets your entire order but still shows the order details as being normal. So once you pick up your food none of your substitutions or modifications are done. - The app resets your preferred location whenever it updates. There have been many times I unknowingly ordered from a tropical way across town because my favorite spot was reset. I love the food, I love this place, but good heavens get a grip on your app!

Some changes would be great. I love tropical cafe but can you please add a few changes to the app and a variety of rewards. I want to be able to have the option to add fruit to my smoothie for example when the cranberry smoothie was out I liked to add kiwi to it but it wasn’t an option in the app so I couldn’t never order from the app. Also when you switched to the new app we can no longer use our free supplement and $5 reward at the same time. Also we need some new reward options for example a buy one get one free smoothie, a free bag of chips, or maybe change it to where we accumulate all our points and they can be redeemed for different products you offer instead of always just getting the $5 once we spend $55. For example 300 points gets you a bag of chips, 600 points gets you a smoothie, or 700 gets you $5 off a sandwich. Last but not least we need a higher tier level I’ve probably spent 10x or more the top tier since I’ve become a fan of the smoothies.

Great app & establishment BUT... Absolutely am in love with tropical smoothie! Their smoothies & food items are a great way to get a boost or fill you up with something light. One thing I noticed is they changed their rewards system. A free smoothie used to be redeemable with 550 points (at 10 points per $1, it’s $55), but now it’s 1200 points ($120), which is more than double the original! My favorite part of tropical was the ability to get rewards that didn’t seem too far out of reach, but spending $120 for a free smoothie is too much from what I was used to paying. Hopefully y’all can scale down the points cost, because it’s one of my fav perks!

Decent app, great smoothies, but issues…. Let me start out with how awesome the app was. I loved being able to place an order on the app, head to the local TSC, and get what I ordered as expected. The discounts / bonuses I accumulated were awesome too. For some reason, lately, the app isn’t showing the whole menu for the local TSC. If I pick the next farthest out I still have total availability, but this has gone on for long enough that I’m starting to wonder if anyone knows what’s up. Chia Banana Boost, I’m looking at you… It was brought up with two employees at the local cafe, and nobody seems to know what’s up. But because of this issue (some would say minor) I haven’t bought a smoothie in weeks. And we were a 2 - 3 times a week smoothie family. That’s at least 3 maybe 4 per visit. So maybe chump change, but they lost out on between 6 and 16 smoothies a week. So…. If it does what you want the app and bonuses are great. But as with all things, once it messes up; somebody loses money.

Needs work. Changing my previous review because I realized a second problem: 1) It keeps telling me I have notifications on the app badge. However when I open the app, there is NO where that I can find said notifications and read them… am I missing something? 2) Also, for payment cards saved: both my wife and I have cards saved on our accounts. (Different phones) We can see the cards saved in our settings. Yet when we go to place an order, there is no saved payment method. I had two cards saved. Let me delete one, but when I try to delete the other one, it asks me if I want to and I say yes. Yet it’s still there.

Detox green. I absolutely love Tropical Smoothie. For the most part though each one I go to is understaffed, aren’t able to take credit card, can’t order in app, wait time is 20 min +. The last one I went to could take cash only, exact change and I couldn’t get credit for rewards either. They only offered the smoothies, something was wrong and they were unable to make any foods. I’d like to say this is a unique issue but sadly this is not. I go out of my way while traveling to seek out Tropical Smoothie, love them that much. Please fix the issues. Employees are really nice though, just need to hire more.

Horrible app. I swear people are only reviewing this app with positive reviews because they like the smoothies. My review is about the application, which is incredibly useless. All the previous features from the previous app are gone, and it’s just for collecting points when you WALK INTO A CAFE. Delivery on the app does not work, you cannot save your credit card to the app anymore, and you cannot open the app to scan within a store that you do not have access to internet at. So make sure to ask for a copy of your receipt if you wish to collect points. This app is awful. I am so sad they replaced the previous (actually functional) app. I would give 0 stars but that’s not an option.

One tiny problem. I love this app, it’s very easy to use, and I absolutely adore everything from Tropical Smoothie. The only problem I have with the app is that I can’t remove smashed avocado from the Baja Chicken wrap. It says it’s not a part of the wrap online, but in store on the wall menus it is, and I never add it on because I’m allergic to avocado (it’s not a deadly allergy), and yet it still always comes with avocado on it. I don’t always have the time to go to the store itself and order without it, so it would be helpful if that could be corrected in the app.

Always something going wrong. Love the product but not always the experience. There’s always some hiccup … out of product, no staff and the stores are closed, orders made incorrectly and now the app upgrade where I can’t sign in and although I’ve submitted a password reset 10x or more … yup, you guessed it, no password reset received, still can’t log in and it’s been almost 12 hours … at a business where I easily spend $25 per visit well, maybe it’s just time to stop and move on. I believe there are locally owned businesses that, while they may not be as conveniently located, they may offer a better, more personal experience and appreciate the recurring business/customers more. Password resets should be simple and non frustrating. If the business can’t do a simple password reset makes me wonder how they’ll protect my personal information on line because, where did my account/password reset request go?

Want the best Smoothie you’ve ever had with AMAZING service?. Umm YES! We all do. That is why you go in the first place.I have tried every single smoothie joint in Utah County from Payson to Lehi and nothing compares to Tropical Smoothie Cafe!! They have excellent menu choices with the ability to boost your smoothie, not to mention fantastic lunches and staff. However let’s be honest most of the time I go just to get a great smoothie. Their recipes are fantastic, the taste is amazing, and you can tell that they use real fruit and real ingredients!! Every single member there is awesome, so sweet and quick to recommend their app and rewards. Of course I listened and downloaded the app because of how frequently I go here we are talking every single day. Not only do you get rewards points every single dollar that you spend but they also do random surveys and promos so that you are constantly saving money. Plus a cute birthday gift! All I have to say is if you haven’t been you need to go and I do not write reviews for anybody!! Ari B (sorry if I got your name wrong hun ) is fantastic she already recognizes that I go there so frequently and knows my order by heart, she definitely deserves praise 🙌🏼🙌🏼 love it love it love it.

Love the place but…. I’ve always loved the food and service that all tropical smoothies provide. However, I’m a bit irritated that certain stores are now adding a tip line during payment options. After numerous, understandable because of the current times, rate increases it seems a bit much. I eat a tropical smoothie at least twice a week and it adds up. I do feel guilt it into tipping your employees. Have you decreased their hourly wages? If so, it’s understandable, but if not, it’s a bit overkill. Just my opinion. I will start decreasing my visits because of this.

Ruined a Decent App. Like most apps, Tropical Smoothie’s has inexplicably gotten worse. I used it regularly with only occasional glitches, but inevitably, someone decided to “improve” it. The latest update lost my favorites (of course), despite having me sign in, and the app’s menu no longer lists the one thing I buy (I get it one to three times per week). This means I can no longer order the smoothie I want through the app; I have to stop at the store, wait in line, pay for the smoothie, and wait for it to be made. No more in and out—which is a problem, since I typically order these when I’m in a hurry. The staff at the counter, who all know me on sight, were mortified to learn the app was screwed up. Since the store no longer takes phone orders, I won’t be going there any more. So enjoy the app while it lasts; just know that it probably won’t last long.

Improvement needed. The app forces you to update before being able to use, therefore causing me to miss scanning before payment cause I only saw the notice when I opened the app at the drive thru. Please allow a dismiss button to keep functions of app so the update can be done after the scan. Also the receipts from my usual location do not scan or work with manual input. Why aren’t all locations held to the same requirements? The receipt should reflect the correct way to get the points regardless. Or y’all could scrap the reward system and simply deduct the value from the regular price and not make your loyal consumers jump through hoops just to make more profit off those who don’t use the rewards. Seems petty. The plastic straw wrappers are hard to open. Use paper wrapper please, why extra plastic?? The clear straws were also better than the blue which are too narrow. Love the products!

Yum!. I love tropical smoothie, and I love being able to use the mobile app to order ahead of time, especially with a busy schedule as a stay at home mom of three that homeschools, but it’s really inconvenient that the “faves” section of the app next to the “recent orders” doesn’t work. I would love to be able to easily access my favorite smoothies, especially since I customize mine. It would be great if they would update this bug because it’s always been this way for me! I’ve even re-downloaded the app and everything multiple times and I’ve had multiple phones that has been an issue on. Fix it please!!!!

Wish I could enter gift card balance for payment. I’ve fallen in love with Tropical Smoothie Cafe. It is now my ‘go to’ place for breakfast on the days I’m required to go into the office. The app makes it simple and easy to order ahead so when I get to the cafe it’s waiting on me. Two things I wish for in the app: 1) the ability to enter a gift card to use as payment. Each year my hubby gets me a gift card for TSC but I have yet to figure out home to use it as payment in the app 2) allow online purchases to get the morning 50% off deal I would get if I were to order at cafe during the hours this is offered (7-9 am I believe).

Tropical Smoothie Cafe ROCKS!. I’ve ordered 3 or more of these and the quality and freshness are remarkable. I’ve only tried the Smoothies so far but they have all been top-notch! Delivery with GrubHub has always been on-time even if it is a late hour. I recommend their Smoothies to everyone - they are delicious and cold and mixed perfectly - none have been “two-tone” with separated ingredients. Likewise none have been watery at all but all fresh fruit. VERY TASTY please try them you will thank me!

My port orange store:. My first visit in this store at any tropical Café and I just have to say I was a little nervous about going up to the cashier and explain to her that this was my first time to visit so I had questions because I have a special diet. The young lady who helped me and I feel so bad because I didn't get her name… She was incredibly perfect for me as a new customer. She explained all my questions and even gave me a special surprise… I just want to reach out to her and say thank you I believe the only brunette I saw in the store I will find out her name later… But because of her excellentHospitality I will be back quite often! Thank you so much for your service!

Fun app easy to use.. I work at tropical, and the only thing I ever see a problem being with this app is when people want their points and scan without waiting for us to tell them to. Either it breaks the register or makes their name their app reward. So there should be a pop up telling them to let the register know and wait for the go ahead! Other then that I have to complaints for a perfect working app!

Order not received. If I could give tropical smoothie a zero I would. I ordered items to be delivered. Never received it. Called DoorDash because that is who they use for delivery. DoorDash offered to refund me or to see if the store would remake it and they would refund the store because of lack of communication from the dasher. The store remade the order, took the refund from DoorDash then called me to tell me I needed to replace the order. I said I wasn’t replacing the order of the received the refund, why should I have to pay for the order twice. I then called DoorDash again and they put me in contact with tropical smoothie corporate customer service. They said they would take care of it. I asked what that meant. Am I going to get my refund? They said yes. They took my name, phone number and email address and physical address. A week later and I haven’t received an email let alone my money back. Oh and I tried to contact the two other times since. Don’t risk it. I will not spend another dime there. And my work is in the same parking lot. I will make sure everyone knows that they do not care about their customers.

Smoothie Good~ Bad in-store Service though. First time inside- the manager did not even look up from his cell phone while we were trying to navigate the menu. My friend states I’ve never been here/ I don’t even know how to order. He STILL did not even look up from his phone. As I was paying I had to click 3 buttons to avoid leaving a tip on my credit card-I planned on leaving a cash tip. We were the only people inside. Someone dropped our food off- said nothing when he sat the tray down. My friend received 1/2 a tiny soufflé cup of salad dressing with her salad, my soufflé cup was full. No one ever came back to check on us. Then my friend who hated onions had a bluish slippery thing in her mouth that she spit out in her plate said what is that? I looked and said it like an onion- she said do onions come on a Caesar? no, they don’t. I took it and walked to the cash register and said hey, I’m curious - what is this and the young girl said oh no, was that in your smoothie? I said no, in her salad- a guy from the drive-thru stepped over and said it was a fire-roasted onion and took it & threw it in the trash & walked off. I said does that normally come in a Caesar salad and the girl said no & walked off from the counter. So my friend said let’s go. We tried to stuff the rest of our food & trash in the silver trashcan on our way out but our food containers would not even fit into the top hole of the trash can. I felt like someone in the company should know…

Super easy way to order my smoothie. This is a nice, clean app, easy to find/customize items if needed - makes ordering easy. And I love the smoothies! One thing that does seem a bit odd - I have notifications, including badges, enabled on my iPhone 13. I’ve notice that when the app shows badges, those notifications don’t seem to be anywhere in the actual app. The only place I can find them is in the full list of notifications for everything I get. Am I missing something here, are they hiding somewhere in the app? Also, my feature/enhancement request is to add support for PayPal and/or Apple Pay. Right now the only options are to enter your card info everytime - annoying - or to have your card info saved in the app and I would really prefer to not do that. This is the only reason I gave four stars instead of five. Would be happy to change that if you added support for these.

Amazing Smoothies, Food, & HUGE list of add-one!!. I’ve always loved tropical smoothie. The one in the Beville complex off Clyde Morris and Beville is always on point. They’re service is friendly and always very fast. I’m always in & out. The facility is kept clean and has nice seating. Best of all, the smoothies (& food) are the BEST. I get the same ones every-time & the list of add-ins you can put in your drink are awesome. Whatever you’re looking for, I guarantee they have it. Always pleased with the items I purchase and service I get. :)

Useless update. Really not enjoying the accessibility of the new app! The sign up screen upon opening the app makes me close the app as soon as I open it, because no one wants to sign up for an account when they are hungry and just trying to place an order. Also, when you try to scroll back to the entrees and drinks be careful! It does not have a clear cart tab so one accidental tap and your entire order is gone, you have to select everything again and replace your order. Last, the cart is located on the bottom corner of the screen and can be EASILY missed as there is no clear indication of where it is. It is typically located at the top of the screen where it is more visible. Love tropical smoothie! Hate this app. Would love to see improvements in the future working towards customer retention and not so focused on making the app function like a social media platform.

Worthless app - doesn’t work. I downloaded the app and have been getting emails about these great rewards. I decided to try one and ordered so my daughter could pick it up on her way home. Everything was working great and I got to the checkout. I applied the coupon and was ready to pay. I put in my card information and it told me to make sure my contact information was correct including phone number. Then it cleared the page. I tried it a few times and it never worked. I went to profile and payment options and it says I have no cards on file and there is no way to add one. I called the store and they said they didn’t accept phone orders and couldn’t help me. After messing around for 15 minutes my daughter had to order in person when she got there and I found a way to screen shot the coupon from the app and have her get it scanned at the store. It was a total waste of time. It doesn’t do the main thing it is designed to do - order food easily. You can’t even select “pay in store” like other apps. This app is misleading in that it doesn’t do what it implies and must not have gone through testing. I have an iPhone 12 and have developed apps that are on the App Store. I expect more.

The app is a terrible way to order and will rob you. I love tropical smoothie and probably eat there 6-8 times a month. Occasionally ill order through the app but it has become less and leas frequent as it usually gives me issues. 3 days ago was the last straw for me. I tried placing an order online and it gave me an error message. Instead of retrying i decided to order from Chilis instead as I had a reward. Just to be sure I check my email and recent visit (the recent visit can only be seen if you reset the app. Needs to be changed) to see if the order went though and it didnt so i proceed to place an order elsewhere. Long story short i got charged 15is minutes later, immediately contacted support and 3 days later i still havent heard back. Will dispute with my bank

Unintuitive on its best day.. This app is bug ridden. Not only does it garner error messages about not being able to duplicate previous orders RIGHT before duplicating them, but the location setting that should—by default—choose the closest location to you when using the app ALWAYS requires manual selection. Also, what is the point of me saving a card on file for later use if that card option isn’t presented to me at check out? If it wasn’t for some of your locations mandating that orders be placed online, I would delete this app and simply order at the register. Disappointing.

From Hero to Zero. I first was introduced to Tropical Smoothie Cafe in college. It always served the most delicious smoothies ever. Fast forward to present day, they have fallen off. The most recent order I place has officially caused me to no longer be a customer. I placed an order for delivery directly from the app. I only received 2 of the 3 smoothies I ordered and one of those smoothies was under an entirely different name (someone else’s order) and did not give me the 2 cookies I ordered. Since I did it through the app, there was no immediate support to connect with like DoorDash or UberEats. I called the store twice and both times no one answered and voicemail was full. I even texted the delivery driver and they never responded. The only way I was able to get my voice heard was having to go through the “Contact Us” section of their app and that is just sending an email in which they will review and get back to me whenever they can. I basically lost out on more than $10 with no immediate rectification. If there is anything this review can do is have Tropical Smoothie Café has some support available for when the store or the delivery driver messes up the order. I rather make my own smoothie first before ever ordering from this place again. I recommend just ordering for pick up or going to a different smoothie place entirely.

Does Not Work for Delivery. I have been trying for weeks to order delivery on the app but every-time I click it , the screen goes white. The online website as-well is not working for delivery and I have tried the contact us form on the app but they just said its the new update and they are working on ways to fix it. It has been three weeks this should be fixed! I sent again another contact to receive the same response “ Yikes! We're sorry everything didn't go as smoothly as we expected upgrading to our new app. Our teams are focused on working out the kinks so we can provide you an even better app experience. Thanks for hanging in there with us and letting us know what happened so we can pinpoint these issues and resolve them as quickly as possible. “ There is no help!

Upon order completion the you g lady who took my order walked me through the app. We then went outside to chat and play while we waited on the order. The young lady who took our order was kind enough to not let our drinks set on the counter but instead brought them out to us with a drink carrier! Not able to scan receipts. I have contacted app support still not getting an answer I have been trying to scan a receipt from the 26th of October it originally said could only scan one receipt per 24 hours which was fine so tried to scan 24 hours later it pops up with cannot scan more than 2 receipts within 24 hours so I haven’t been able to scan a receipt at all since the 26th of October please fix this problem I am almost to supercharged in just over 3 months yes I shop that often just ask the store I frequent they know me by name. So is this how the app works you get close to the maxed level which my birthday is in just over a week I wanted to be supercharged by then but seems to me you don’t want me to get anything for free which is kind of a scam if you ask me. We absolutely love your product sometimes the service lacks but that neither here nor there my regular server’s are great.

Cannot Upload Gift Cards. My wife and I use this app a lot but one of the issues that we run into is, we can’t use a gift on the app. Whether using it to pay or adding funds to the account, nope it won’t let you. There are a lot of apps out there that allow you to upload the gift card or use it to pay, life Starbucks for example. The convenience of the app is so you don’t have to wait in line, not when you have a gift card though. This would be a game changer and a most requested gift in our family if we had this option. If this change ever happens, my rating will definitely change to 5 stars.

Enhancement idea. The app does what it should and will always love tropical smoothie cafe. What I wish is that it would give you the nutritional info based on how you customized your order. For example, I ordered the chocolate covered strawberry smoothie last night but with no sugar and removed the banana and white chocolate. I wish I knew what the macros were after that. I tried calculating based on the nutritional guide but doesn’t make sense especially not knowing how much of a banana would have been added or how much white chocolate would have been added. For me who is strictly trying to count macros (and I know I’m not the only one) it sure would just make this app that much better.

Beware of this app!. I eat from tropical smoothie cafe all the time, I typically order it in person and the food is good. HOWEVER, yesterday I ordered in the app and checked the option that allowed me to save my card as I don’t feel comfortable pulling out my card in a busy Walmart for an extended amount of time typing in my card information as anyone could see it and attempt to do fraud, so I added and saved my card in the app and placed my order in a private location before I completed other errands I had for the day. I saved it because I wanted ease of ordering on the app in the future (side note: I’ve ordered on the app before but have NEVER saved my card). Anyway, I chose to save my card on the app yesterday and the very next day (today) I got a strange charge on my card from somewhere I don’t recognize. I did nothing out of the ordinary yesterday except for save my card on the app, then the very next day I have an unrecognizable charge on my card for a very specific amount. I looked through my bank statements to see if it was some sort of subscription I missed that is taken monthly out of my account. I found no such thing. Be careful saving you card on this app as it seems there likely is shady people behind it looking at your card information and using it to commit fraud.

Some annoying features. I’ve used the app for at least two years. The most annoying aspects of the app are being logged out randomly. You only discover this when you are trying to order in a hurry. The app periodically deletes your credit card info. The app does not have the “scan credit card” function. The app does not have Apple Pay enabled. “Saved payment methods” does not work. I have to still type in the card. Once you type in a card, it automatically charges that card, instead of taking you back to a confirm screen before submitting your order. Supposed you just remembered you wanted something else as you were putting your card info? You will not be able to put it on that order. Some cafes have fridge where they store pickup items. Some do not. Your order page should let you know so you know if your smoothie is in danger of melting if you take too long to pick it up.

Great place to eat, terrible app. I eat at TSC 3-4 times per week, but the app is unusable. The app will charge my credit card the total amount before I have even placed the order, and then repeat that over and over until I just close it and give up. This happened every time for nearly a week, making the app unusable. Now it just produces errors after I customize items in my cart and then try to place the order, making it unusable again. Even logging into the app is difficult because the password saves into a password manager or keychain under a completely different domain that doesn’t relate to TSC. This app makes me think that the movie Idiocracy is real. 🤦🏻🤦🏻

Broken app. EDIT: after requesting a password reset I was finally able to log into my account. My review still stands as there are clear problems with the link functions to login with Facebook and Apple, as well as the error message on the create account page not accurately conveying what the actual problem is, that being an account already exists with my email. This was not sourced as the reason making a new account was not working. This review is for the app only. Right after updating the app I can no longer login or create an account. Trying with Facebook does absolutely nothing. Trying with Apple does nothing. Trying to login with what I’m sure is my correct login info tells me an account can’t be found. Assuming that perhaps it’s a new system and I may need to make a new account, trying to make one always brings up an error message claiming certain required fields are missing or incorrect (nothing about an account already existing with my email address btw), and going back I see NOTHING highlighted as missing or incorrect. So I can no longer make or sign into an account at all. Fix it.

Stealing money. This app is incredibly broken, twice now it has sent my order to the wrong store over an hour away, they also have been unable to refund any of my money or help in anyway. Customer service is a joke and incredibly rude. I’m out $30 now and no one has been able to help me I have called the general manager of the store in question, I have contacted cooperate and no one will refund me or reimburse my points lost on a third order that was messed up and sent to the wrong location. I have triple checked that the location was changed when I ordered and as soon as I hit complete and pay it pops up that it was sent to the wrong store yet again. This app needs a major overhaul and so does the customer service department.

Terrible in every way. This franchise never fails to disappoint. Their app is no different. Constant glitches and crashes. Says a location is open only to find it closed. Pretends to save your credit card info but rarely does. And there is no way to delete your credit card info inside the app or on the web site. There is also no way to change your password inside the app. I have never seen an app that does not have a security and payment section that allows you to change these vital settings. I truly believe some high school interns wrote this app as part of a computer science project. This app has been bad for years and they never make any significant updates. How can you have hundreds of one-star reviews saying the same thing and the leadership does absolutely nothing about it. Head scratcher.

App is very unfriendly to use.. Whoever made this app, you need to find a way to let me add credit card info without forcing me to order something. Now I accidentally made an uncancelable delivery order when trying to add my card info, because I thought it’ll take me to a confirm order screen after putting in my card info. Now the order went through and there’s no way to call the store to cancel it, because the answering machine keeps saying that their inbox is full. Also don’t know why you can’t add ApplePay to the app, since Doordash has that option, and I could even order Tropical Smoothie items from that. Even the restaurant itself has ApplePay.

$1 doesn't ever equal 10 points. I'm confused because I didn't see anywhere outright say that they changed it and the app still says $1=10 points, but I scanned my $58 receipt and I got...388 points? I thought maybe there was a limit for how many dollars it would do it for (despite it not saying that anywhere) but when I scan a $20 receipt I get about 60-80 points. I'm confused and I'm pretty sure you can get in trouble for false advertising, not sure though. Just don't expect to get what the app outright says you'll get.

Still a fan of the old app. The older app seemed a bit more user friendly and easier to navigate. It also kept my payment for a seamless checkout. I often spring for a smoothie at the last minute so I’m aways out and about. With this app my billing info disappears every few months so I have to pull over to enter my card info again and again, or order while sitting in front of the store.

App is terribly lacking. I order from the restaurant all the time with no problems. The first time I use the app, they butcher the order and there is no ability to contact customer service or get a refund… they literally just delivered a bag of chips and charged me $26! They use door dash to deliver so you’re far better off just using Door Dash because you will have to deal with their customer service anyway. Not to mention I didn’t get the free smoothie that was promised after my first order. That was the only reason I even downloaded the app.

Fairly easy to use. I have used the app at many locations over a few counties in Florida. Often my orders to pick up at curbside have not come out & ive had to go in. And few times items were missing which were promptly prepared AND I would like to look at the menu without picking a store The food ordered is always yummy

Refreshing Break. On a hot and humid day, nothing is better than a refreshing smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe. The flavors vary and you can customize the amount of added sweetener or if you are a diabetic like me, no sweetener. Let the fruit or veggies speak for themselves. The food is also tasty. The staff is always friendly and helpful at my favorite location in Stafford TX. A great way to beat the summer heat.

120 dollars for a free smoothie?!?. I’ve always loved this app and this store but today I tried to order smoothies for me and my boyfriend because I had 640 points which means I should be able to get a free smoothie (550 points) then I see there is no option to redeem one. I figured they raised the amount of points needed but go and see it’s 1200! More than double. Why on earth would we need to spend 120 dollars for a free smoothie? Apparently for 600 we can still get food but it’s double that for a smoothie even though they basically cost the same thing? It’s becoming less worth it to eat from here.

No problem. Tropical Smoothie Café has such a incredible app. It helps to make your orders easier and organized, Make you feel protected by any mistake since you have to go step by step. Fast and accurate. More than enough. Just in case you have issues change your phone not the app :) .

Menu. Tropical Smoothie is my new favorite restaurant. I also enjoy using the app. However, the only thing that this app lacks (in my opinion) is the ability to see the menu WITHOUT having to order. If you guys add this feature to your app, my rating would change from 4 stars to 5!! I hope that you guys strongly consider this request!

App quit working then I see a totally new app. So my wife likes TS Cafe and so I downloaded the original app for us to hopefully save a little money and it worked great for about 6-8 months. Then quit working…I updated and it just gets frozen. So I get in the App Store and see they have created a whole NEW app which is why I haven’t been getting my rewards over the last several months. Silly me, I would think they would send a notification that the old app is no longer being used. Now I download the new app and can’t seem to get my log in info to work. Summary is that Tropical Smoothie Cafe has a lot of potential but their company feels like it is being ran by a bunch of high schoolers that devote their weekends to marketing, processes, and app development. They have already lost one location in my town and I feel there will be more losses in the future if they don’t correct these problems.

Love this place even more with the app!. The app makes it even easier! Prep is always fast workers are always polite and cheerful. The rewards are great too! You can scan the QR and collect your points in the store too. Always in and out when I use the app literally by the time my order is placed I walk out the door drive a couple minutes down the street and my food and smoothies are always ready!

Fast, Easy and Reliable. Hi! I have a limited diet and have found this place since moving into the area. It provides me with what I need and the convenience of the app makes it so much less stressful. Not only are the food and smoothies wonderful but the rewards from the app is an extra bonus! Please Fix the Rewards. I love Tropical Smoothie. Love that I can order ahead and pay in the app. But the rewards system is terrible. Why can’t my in-app purchase automatically credit my reward points? When I get to the store I have to get someone to print my receipt so I can scan the barcode. Sounds simple but that defeats the purpose of ordering ahead when I still have to flag someone down to print a receipt from 15 minutes ago while they’re already slammed making smoothies and taking new orders at the register. Every other fast food app just credits your rewards directly.

Great App But…. The app is great, but would love to see the option to be able to select how to blend your smoothie. Many times I have to bring my smoothie back to have them blend it again because it still has chunks in it. Some people like that…others with texture issues don’t. If this isn’t an option, maybe creating a comment section where this can be inputted. There’s limited options for customization.

Mmmmmm. Love the smoothies all flavors and the stuff is very friendly. The food is also delicious. It would be nice to have a special on them sometimes with everything so expensive these days. When you guys had the 4.99 before 9 am you where my everyday breakfast but still I visit maybe not so much but still love you guys. Keep up the good work 👍🏽.

Double check your order. We love Tropical Smoothie Cafe! The smoothies are great and the food tastes amazing! The only thing that recently happened was a missing bag of chips for our order. I called the store and the manager offered to give the missing chips when we came back. Otherwise, we are happy customers!

Since the update this app is completely useless.. Updated the app and I get online and click order now and then I get the spinning wheel of death. So I waited for 10 minutes and it never passed through to Order. Don’t have time for a nap like this and I don’t have time to stand in line there either. So I guess no tropical smoothie for us for a while. Hope you figure it out soon.

Invasive. I used to use the app but just deleted today. You could scan or manually enter receipts if you did not scan in shop (I don’t when I go through the drive thru). When I went to enter in the receipts it prompts to access my location with no option to decline. I do not allow any apps to access that information and so if I cannot get my rewards there is no point for this app on my device. I’m tired of features like this and most people should be very wary of programs monitoring your location.

No complain section for orders. 3 stars since this app is terrible too. We love going to tropical smoothie cafe, this time for the first time we ordered delivery from the app. Won’t ever do that again. Our Order was terrible and messed up. The quesadilla was literally out of the box and in the bag. My smoothie tasted like chunks of ice and nothing else. After this disappointment I was furious not being able to complain as this is a door dash order. Don’t order in the smoothie app only Order through door dash or you will regret it.

Good, could be better. Doesn’t allow staff tipping on the app. Instead, have to show up, leave a cash tip. Not good, need to change that ASAP. Can’t see the contents of a smoothie when ordering. You have to go through the menu and figure out what you want first, then order. That’s fine, but if you just like to browse and order, you can’t do that. Same with the wraps/sandwichs, you only know what’s in it when you read through the menu or during customization.

Kinda Annoying. I love this restaurant, love the smoothies and the food great service, but one thing that irritates me about the app is that they don’t always let you review what is in your cart when you click the cart button. It just goes to the screen to to set up the time for picking it up. I don’t always like to set the time till I make sure things are ok with the order first in which it does not let me do.

Address for delivery. Even though I’m logged in, it makes me enter my address for delivery EVERY TIME. Can you make it save my address or allow me to choose that as an option? I know I’m logged in because it keeps my favorites and credit card on file. This just started happening after the most recent update about a month ago.

Can’t scan receipt for points!. There is an option on the app to scan barcodes on receipts to earn points if you didn’t scan your app at the purchase point but you can click on the option because it’s hidden by the home bar on the app. If you scroll you can see it, but you can’t scroll enough to keep it where you can click on it. Please fix this! I have a couple receipts and I’d hate to lose those points! The smoothies are great, the app needs fixed.

Great app that makes lunch easier!. Loves that it saves past orders and payment methods. Makes ordering quick! I love being able to order ahead of time. So convenient to just run in and pick up the food on my way somewhere, and it’s very easy to pick different locations. I’ve also used the delivery option and always been pleased. Thankful for this app!

Delicious!. I tried one of their smoothies just the other day, I had never been in the store before. The smoothie was so delicious and healthy! I set up my own account and even referred a friend. I will definitely be back to try some food from their delicious-looking menu. So glad they have a location near me!

Latest version stopped this blind user from making an order it wasn’t accessible. I have been a faithful tropical smoothie customer using the app. In the last update however, I got to the last page where I had to select which address it was being delivered to and there was no way for me to move past that page there was some kind of button not showing for the screen reader known as voiceover on iPhone. Could you please look into this I’d like to return as a customer.

Update ruined the app!. I uploaded the update today only to find that I was no longer logged into the app and the app wouldn’t let me create a new sign-on. I had to go to my laptop to do this. I then found that my favorites had all disappeared. In putting in a new order, I then found that my credit cards were no longer saved. Developers, why did you put out this update before it was ready? Is this how every update will act? This is unacceptable. I hope you’ve received millions of complaints. If you still have jobs tomorrow, fix this!

The new point requirement for rewards is laughable. Wow like another reviewer said before me, the amount of points needed to redeem a free smoothie has more than doubled in a recent update. Honestly, my main incentive for coming to Tropical Smoothie was the earned rewards for a free smoothie because that’s the only thing I order here. Now it would take me spending $120 instead of the previous $50 to get a free smoothie. I plan to stop going to Tropical Smoothie unless this is adjusted in the future. Since the change, here are so many smoothie places with better reward incentives in comparison. A huge slap in the face to those who’ve been loyal customers for many years.

It's a nice app if your goal is to avoid having repeat customers. I usually just want to punch a re-order button for my favorites. This is possible with the app ... sort of. Trouble happens if any item is not available ... at which point instead of populating the cart with everything that IS available, you get nothing. It would be so much better if it would just add what it can to the cart and then let me find a substitution for whatever wasn't available. To be fair ... the app is better than the website experience. That doesn't even give an error message indicating a missing item -- it just pops open the order summary showing there is absolutely nothing in the order with no explanation as to why. Instead, I find myself having to manually create every order. This would be pretty easy to fix.

First time customer!. All I can say is “WOW”!! I’ve never been to this place before and came by because a friend gave me a gift card. True friend indeed because the healthy options and the staff at the Sample Road/Coral Springs location were phenomenal! Thank you Michael and Maddie for the kind and personable service that is not easy to come by these days! Can’t wait to come back!

My piece of paradise. So my Daughter convinced me to try this place and im Soooo glad i did. I had the avocado smoothie and the Thai chicken salad with extra thai peanut dressing and i was beyond satisfied, so much so that i ordered one for my friend to try and she fell in love also. My next trip i got the jerk chicken wrap and well that was a winner also. I guess i found my piece of paradise among all the weed, lol

Newbee. Hi I am new to tropical smoothie Café. The first time I went , I stumbled through the menu trying to find exactly what I wanted. The associate was so friendly and so very patient. Today was my second visit and again the same associate very helpful and very patient. Thank you tropical smoothie for making my breakfast so amazing. Great customer service!

Increase in points for rewards. 1200 points for a free smoothie is a rip off! So you have to spend $120 = 1200 for a free smoothie, and spend $140 to earn a free salad, sandwhich, or wrap. All that money just to earn one food item? Greedy company stealing peoples money! Horrible rewards program. It used to be 550 points for a free smoothie, now it’s 1200! That’s double the points and double the money needed to be spent. Making me disappointed and discouraged to continue with this company, and I am sure others feel the same way. Bring back the old points system, don’t increase the points! Bad business.

Worked fine for a while. …then not so much. First issue was when it selected a restaurant without asking me and I placed an order at a TSC that was 40 miles away. Second issue was not being able to checkout because I hadn’t selected some option on my order (the option wasn’t available). Today it’s that there’s no phone number associated with my account (there is, in fact, a phone number associated with my account) so again I’m unable to checkout. One issue I can understand but 3 in a matter of weeks is unacceptable.

Charging just to choose the combo. I do t know what idiot thought it was ok it charge just to choose a combo, but they just lost my businesses and my roommates’ as well. We would always get the combo after a morning workout, but after we saw that we all got charged an extra $3.99 just for choosing a combo that was supposed to save us money we will no longer be giving this place any business on principle alone. It was actually a good deal to but I guess money grabbing selfish corporate people don’t care. Whatever guess we’ll just go to chipotle or smoothie king. Literally outrageous.

Method of payment issues. Every since the app been updated, I have problems with keeping my card on file and have lost rewards that just disappear even before they expire. Very frustrating because I reached out to customer service more than twice about the issue.

Points expire?. I go here twice a week and I always scan my points and I didn’t pay attention to it and I didn’t know they expire. If it’s our points that we build up why should there been an expiration date on when to use it. We should have the freedom to use it whenever no matter how many points we have

What happened to the Bowl option?. I love the app I’ve been using it for years but since last year or so I noticed that the app updated and got rid of the bowl option. You know how you can make any wrap into a bowl that is gone. I don’t mind physically going into a store to order a bowl and a smoothie but when I’m in a pinch and want to pick up something on the way home or to work it would be nice to have this option back so I could place my order through the app and keep it moving. Please add back this option!

Great smoothie shop. I’ve always loved smoothies and tropical is one place I can rely on for a good smoothie every time. For as the app, I am someone who adds double of the same supplement. So if there could be a way to make an option to select more than 1x per supplement. Ex: can’t select 2 or double protein. Then possibly a comment section for if you want to mention something for the orders they want.

Great app but. Wonderful app, but wish it gave access to all you can order. Have been a huge fan of Tropical Smoothie Café since before they even came to DFW. Only wish you can order everything like you can like in the restaurant. For example, I love the Cranberry Truffle, and can only order it inside. Would order much more often if I could have access to all you can truly order.

Missing Apple Pay, but still solid. One of the best food ordering experiences across than hundreds of food apps I’ve downloaded on my phone over the years. Very smooth and easy to use. I just wish it had Apple Pay for easier payments. It’s a bit tedious entering new card info

Original app and management was much better. I never had a problem with the original app. Don’t know why it was changed. I’ve had several issues since this new launch. Today it’s saying “restart the app to order on line”. So, I closed it out and reopened-didn’t help. I restarted my phone-didn’t help. And most frustrating is when you try “contact us” you can’t. If the problem you’re having isn’t listed (which it never has been in my cases) there is no path to help. The old app would actually allow you to call and talk to a very friendly, helpful PERSON. Not this one. Very frustrating!!!!

Terrible return setup through the app. I love Tropical Smoothie but their app is not functional. First, they do not have a special request section on orders. I tend to get the 24oz smoothies split into two cups and there is no way to do that in the app. Secondly, you have to call some number to cancel your order. I believe the call goes to the location you ordered from, but they have to contact headquarters. I refunded an order two weeks ago and I still have not received a refund, or any knowledge meant that has been refunded. I’ve tried twice now to refund it. I will definitely call or use the drive through next time I get Tropical.

App is worse every time it’s updated. I used to be able to just substitute pea protein in smoothies that usually come with whey. The past several times the app has been updated, this process has become more difficult because of the way substitutions are set up on the order screen. Now it’s completely impossible because pea protein isn’t even listed as a substitution anymore, and the only way to swap proteins is to delete whey and add pea for a $1 up-charge, making me pay for more than what I’m getting. This should be a stupidly easy problem to fix and I don’t see why it hasn’t been yet.

Love Love Love this place. I have Crohn’s Colitis so I drink smoothies a lot. This is my go to when I just want something refreshing and when food is difficult to eat. I’ve had a few food item. Food for a cook fresh and is delicious. Just wish I could eat more food. Thank you for catering to those of us that drink a lot of smoothies

Love the food. Hate the app.. I really wish the app worked, but if it did I wouldn’t be saying this. Been using the app for over a year and the saved card payment has NEVER worked. Every time I fill out an order and get ready to pay, my saved card doesn’t show up as an option to pay with. Even though it is clearly saved. And my other saved card gets unsaved every time I try to use it. Anyone else having this problem?

This app used to be so functional. Nowadays it’s just prettier than before, but it appears whoever it is that designs and programs this app has continuously just not bothered to fix several issues. One of which is my biggest reason for not using it more often: it keeps forgetting my payment information, forcing me to manually type it all over again. Locations not updating. Slow. I’m so tired, man. Just make it like it used to be 2 whole SKUs ago. That’s when it was dependable.

Don’t break what ain’t broken!!!. I’m not sure what y’all changed about your app or why. But it made it way more difficult. I used to be able to re-order what I’ve ordered in the past and press order and it would charge my card and everything was fine. Now I can’t even get it to scan my card and get it in there. If y’all had Apple Pay or go back to however it was before it would make it way more user-friendly. Y’all have pretty much lost my business because of whatever you changed.

Best Smoothies, wish the app remembered my car!. These smoothies are unbelievable! This would be a five star rating if only it would remember my car. It is such a pain to re-type in my model make and color for every single order. I can remember my credit card surely they can create a way to remember my car. But that being said still the best smoothies anywhere.

No longer lets you order wraps. They definitely still have wraps, since I'm at the restaurant right now to pick up my order, and wraps are definitely on the menu. But this app no longer allows you to order them. Wraps do not appear on the menu at all in this app. Which is weird because they used to. Fix this and I'd increase to at least 4 stars.

App issues. Firstly I love tropical smoothie, but I can never order from their app, which leads me to go somewhere else instead when I’m in a hurry. For about a year now, every time I go to pay it always says there is an issue with the payment method, it says that with every card I put into the app. When it doesn’t work I usually just resort to picking up tijuana flats or Wawa because their app works. Tropical smoothie has lost over $100 from me just from their ineffective app, I’m sure others do the same. Hopefully they fix it soon.
