What The #%*??. I have been a user of the OG Beatwave since it’s initial release way back in 2011. I purchased all the content available. I purchased a new iPad and when I reinstalled BW I can not restore anything? It seems to be trying to force me into repurchasing this new version that is exactly the same app. I was unable to install any of my purchases from within this version either. Seriously? I have been a part of the iOS music making community since it’s beginning and I have never hated on any developer. The OG app prompted me to contact support which I’ve been try to do with zero success as it looks as if they are purposely making it super difficult to get ahold of? I’m really frustrated. I spent money that I worked for on an app that I’m unable to use at my own expense so this new Beatwave team can create a subscription model for them to make money? So unethical and I feel like I’ve just been robbed. I’m taking this personally. The forums that I have been and am active on the daily in and since 2010 are gonna hear about all this. I’m super upset and it’s not about the money it’s the principle of it. Clearly you guys have non. How will you fix this for me personally? Your subscription is more for a week than the very first subscription I signed up for and is a full blown pro DAW. We all know what I’m talking about. Really a sad deal. You new owners of Beatwave should be ashamed of yourselves. Fix this crap man.

Forced outrageous subscription. I couldn’t even make it past the opening screen. The all immediately asked for a one week trial that would convert to an $8/week subscription. That’s over $400 per year! This was recommended to me by my music teacher, and after showing him that screen he will stop recommending it to his students. I immediately deleted it fun my phone and downloaded Reason Compact instead, which offers a similar experience for free, with far more affordable in-app purchases. I don’t care if I can subscribe then unsubscribe to get the free version, this sort of behavior by a developer is unethical, and I won’t engage in App Store subscription games. I strongly suggest you do the same and avoid this app and this company.

It’s good but lots of glitch. It was good for a few days and then all of a sudden it was just really glitchy. other than that it’s really good and it’s really easy to make music. so I gave it 4 stars

Very bad ad problem. The ads will put the x at the very tip top left hand corner just so you can’t hit it but it’s visible. This needs to be fixed immediately because I can never save what I have so I can actually decide if I want to buy the app . And make it easier to save things, sometimes it will pop up and sometimes it won’t

I have multiple issues.. I have a problem with any developer that gives No response....I had purchased all the effects as well as 2-3 sound packs ....it was before the apps big overhaul and transformation into a forced subscription skeem. Still ....after E-mailing my receipt from the App Store ....for some reason I cannot redeem my content. Don’t expect me to pay just so that I can find out if that’s how I get my stuff back. This apps sound wasn’t that great then and isn’t sounding worth the money or trouble now. I get better sound quality for free from other developers.....uncool.

Just no.... I just recently got back into the iOS game. The last time I used this app was in 2016 and I was able to go in, make beats and experiment right from the get go. And now... you’re telling me that in order for me to even USE this app I have to start up a free trial and risk being charged for it if I forget to cancel the subscription? What kind of gouging is this? This “new” model of doing things really ticks me off. I have old projects that I can’t load into the app. I will continue to use the older version still on my iPod touch. Doesn’t bug me about trial nonsense and subscriptions. What about the people who already purchased the music packs? Were there really that many people not buying the add ons that you switched the app from “ pay what you want” to “WEEKLY subscriptions?” Are you really asking for $400 plus dollars a year for this app? I’m sure most people would just buy a total package app for less than 1/4 the price. My previous review of this app was 4 stars when it was the hot new music making app and now it will remain at 1 because not everyone has deep pockets to pay $7.99 WEEKLY for a mobile app. Ridiculous.

Abandoned previous buyers. I’ve had this app for a long time now. I make beats on and off for fun. I bought the 15 dollar subscription where you (used to) get all the features. Well, it deleted all my beats that I’ve had on there for years. Now it’s subscription based and is telling me I need to make monthly payments? I a refund would be nice but it’s not going to get my beats back.

Ruined by greed. This was an awesome easy to use music making app until the original developer sold it. Now there are subscription costs to unlock tools that were originally sold as one time upgrades. Too many bugs that cause crashes. Ultimately this app has been destroyed by the new developer and is basically now useless unless you like constant crashes during your live music creating. Hugely disappointed!

Been a loyal fan for 7 years. I have been using BeatWave since I was in middle school to create tracks and play around with music, and it’s now been 7 years since then. The app has always had a few glitch errors and crashes a couple times, so if you don’t exit and re-open to save your music every few minutes you run the risk of losing progress. But it has been super beginner friendly. I wish it was still updated regularly to add features like 3/4 tempo and pitch shifting to every instrument but I am still a loyal fan and continue to use the app to make everything from club bangers to ambient dreamscapes.

Very easy! But... Is super easy to learn, but there’s only one pack, you have to pay for the others. I don’t feel like paying 4 dollars a week, but other than that, very VERY great song maker! 10/10 would get again if I didn’t have it already haha!

Wow... So This Alice person, you keep telling people “you dont have yo pay, you can still use the free restricted version of the app” yeah thats a bold face lie, i just now downloaded the game which im deleting because there is no such thing i either have to get the 7 day trial or get the premium which i will not do i saw someone mention a different app in the reviews and i think ill go to that app and not come here again. Dont waste your time here folks. This app isnt worth the $400 a year they trying to squeeze out of ya.

What happened to my $10?. I, like a lot of other users, used to use this app before they transitioned to a subscription based format. Used to be $10 for all the sounds and features that they're asking for $7/week. I bought it and now I'm being asked to give you more money or I can't use the stuff I already paid for? Maybe I would if you added something new to the app but nothing has changed since the huge overhaul of the app a few years back (which also took away features I had already paid for and erased all the songs I had saved up to that point). Can't restore my purchases either, so no canned response saying I can get it back, cause I can't.

Great, but.... Why in the hell does this app request that I pay a fee to keep making music when it didn’t before? Why does any music app do this? This is the best music creation app I have found, but if I want to keep producing songs I have to pay a weekly fee? This is beyond stupid and greedy.

Fix This. I would love to give this a better review because it works great BUT every time the ad pops up the (x) up in the top corner is so for up and barely showing that it won’t even register me tapping it to close and go back to the app. I’ve tried over and over and the only option is to close the entire app and start over.

Downhill. Had this app for years and it used to be great, one time purchases for additional instruments, no ads, etc. Recently however the app has switched to an annual payment for everything you already paid for, with the option to restore purchases excluding all those one time payments. Not to mention the app frequently crashes when offline (probably from trying to load ads) which means all data is unsaved. What was once an amazing app has severely gone downhill

I HATE it. I just get the app, AND YOU HAVE TO PAY $8 A WEEK! Like at least have like an original version and a premiom version but seriously you can't even have the effort to put in? Please find this and add an original version instead of only a premiom version like come on people just want to play the app, have you ever thought of this, a kid gets this game and has OBSOLETEY NO money, so just put in the effort and make an original and and not just a premiom version. I'm disappointed in this app.

The app. I really loved beatwave 3 two years ago when i got it but seeing all the other reviews on here it seems to me that im not the only one that thinks this app was so much better back then It keeps on glitching , lagging, and crashing when i try to record my music , and some features that used alot back then have been taken away like the copy and paste option that used to be there for copying notes that you had placed and pasting them Or duplicating a section of a melody I listen to my old music i made back when the app worked right and it has no issues at all but when i listen to my recent ones they keep on lagging and its getting annoying Please if you can fix this issue because i dont want to have to use another music app cause this one is simple and to the point

An expensive shadow to Beatwave 2. Beatwave two was probably the best iteration of this app. Pay a small fee, and in return, you get to play around with more tools. Controls were simple, and easy to use too. The new version is a bit more messy. The UI isn’t as newbie friendly as it once was, at least in my opinion. It’s also upsetting to lose all of my songs due to the huge transformations that the app went through. Which be fine, if I wasn’t walled to pay a weekly subscription to even attempt to remake them. I’d be alright with paying another one and done price for the new features, but 7.99 a week is just too much for the same features and instruments you got in the last Beatwave. I’ll give it two star’s, since I still like the app itself, but I do hope it takes a different route in the case that Beatwave four comes around.

Get around the subscription [UPDATE]. So I haven’t used the app yet and will update after I do. Apparently no one knows how to get around the auto-renewal of the subscription and it’s turning people away from what is probably a good app so here it is. Settings>tap on your Apple ID>iTunes & App Store>Tap your Apple ID again>view Apple ID>subscriptions And there it is, go into Beatwave 3 and hit cancel. The free trial will expire after 7 days or whatever they’re offering. You’re welcome. Enjoy. P.S. I’m only giving the 1 star right now because I have to make this PSA review. The Devs should really make this easier or make a separate app that’s just the trial and load it with a ton of ads to make up for the $400 a year they’re tricking people into. P.P.S. There’s a yearly subscription option for $40 a YEAR. Which isn’t so bad if you really like this. I pay $60 a year for Xbox sooooo..... perspective. [UPDATE] There are a lot of instruments you just have to download them all. It’s a little overwhelming at first but it looks pretty good so far. People were complaining there are missing notes but if you change the scale to chromatic they’re all there just takes some searching and messing with settings.

One star. I gave it one star because I try to download and it’s still loading

Good app but... Ok the app is cool but it’s been shutting down A LOT and I’ve lost several projects . Also during recording it lags often leaving unpleasant sounds . Like if a cd or record skips. Hopefully someone understands this comparison. Yes I’m cd old 😂. The other issue is it could use more sounds, like actual guitar sounds . I’ve found some that come close but none in that grunge - metal sounds I love. My last complaint: the community page is neat but you can’t comment on see who likes your stuff. Also seeing the instruments others used is cool but they can see your whole project and take it . So there’s that. Ok but it’s still fun, I love seeing others works for inspiration (not to steal) and anyone can make really cool sounds . So that is awesome!

True disappointment😑🤦🏽‍♀️. So I installed the old beatwave a long time ago. And I loved loved LOVED having it. And I loved listening to my old soundtracks and songs I made but when I came back, to the NEW upgraded version, ALL of my old songs were gone and you have to PAY for it😑and I was disappointed 🤦🏽‍♀️

Ripoff. I had purchased in-app the one time purchase pro version years ago. Reinstalled the app and it's nowhere to be found. Instead, now I can pay a subscription to regain access... The app looks extremely different with somehow less musical features than before (but somehow more social ones??) Do yourself a favor and get a real music making app. They're other great options with begginer friendly user experiences.

Great app.. Haven’t used it since 2015 when I bought all the kits and made a few really good beats. But it seems like my account was deactivated or something because none of my logins are working, even though that “redownload cloud” symbol is next to all of them. I’d like a way to get them back without rebuying them.

Why?. I just downloaded heatwave to try it out I have to own a subscription to use it 😐

Worse than the first. So I’ve had beatwave for a while and enjoyed it. It was removed off of the app store and I found that out when I went to leave a review on the original (which I believe was a really good app.) Anyways I saw this and decided to download it. Before, you could buy all the packs separately, then you could only buy beatwave pro which gave all the packs. I went on and it’s the same thing, but now it’s a subscription. You should go back to how it was before, when it was good.

So much potential. I’ve used Beatwave for years and finally upgraded to the premium and love it MOSTLY but the new (and frequent) glitches when trying to record or when loading a scene with multiple instruments are rough. The timing will glitch and restart the scene or it will straight crash. It’s frustrating and it means I definitely don’t use it for anything live, but I trust they will fix this and make it the super reliable and super fun DAW it has been before. Update: still crashes more than any app I’ve ever owned and takes way too long to load things. I just know that the developers can make it fun to use again if they tried. Please debug this app, it’s nearly unusable at this point

Playing Beats at same time. Maybe I just didn’t figure it out, but from what I tried, you weren’t able to play different beats at the same time. I know it sounds dumb, but it would be really cool to be able to see the different sounds I could create by doing so. Also, I wish the app didn’t make you pay a subscription, or at least not for so much. Both were very disappointing. But, the game itself isn’t too bad.

Beware user experience hijacked by developer. Bait-n-switch deceitful behavior!. There are seemingly 2 Beatwave apps. The Beatwave app that I originally had on my device somehow got hijacked by a newer one. The new Beatwave App erased everything that I was doodling with before. This new Beatwave app is locked with ads (this would be fair if I opted in, I did not). The old and new app have identical icons identical name and look identical so there’s no way to differentiate which one is which and what exactly happened. All I know is the Beatwave app previously in my iPhone is no longer. I tried to reach out to the developer but the hyperlinks lead to broken webpages that I couldn’t reach out to tech-support. This is a very un-Apple experience stay away from this app.

Won’t restore my purchases. I’ve had Beatwave since 2011. I have loved this app and told many of my musician friends to download it. I purchased the pro upgrade two years ago. I now download it to my new phone and it won’t restore my pro account, but instead wants to charge me 8 DOLLARS A WEEK, not just to use the pro edition, which I’ve already paid for, but to use it at all. What an unabashed ripoff. I don’t know if any music program that’s worth 8 dollars a week, but as great as this is, it certainly isn’t worth that. Until the developers lowers the price or reimburses former users, this app is to be AVOIDED.

Crashes and doesn’t save progress. Would be the best free beat making app out there, except it crashes way too much and every time you restart the app/exit for a while, you lose all of your progress. Also, I can’t close certain ads, which causes me to restart the app altogether. It’s very frustrating having to start all over again because of this. I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro Max and I’m assuming the app hasn’t been modified for notched corners?? Sometimes I can see the “x” in the corner of an ad but it won’t let me press it, thus having to restart the app.

Great app but a bit glitchy. It is very easy to make a song out of Beatwave it gives you free starter packs which can give you a headstart in your music but every time I would play a music and record it it would glitch and when it’s halfway played it would replay it and keep replaying it I don’t know why it keeps doing that so I made another one just copied the one from my old one and it still did the same I tried to make a different piece it still did the same. It’s really hard to record a perfect song because at every 50’s of playing the song this glitch would happen continuously I even tried to play the music til it glitches then pressed record it still did the same at 50’s.

The Ads. All the time when there is an ad it’s impossible to get out of it. When I can’t get out of the ad I have to restart the app. But when I restart the app then I lose all my progress, I don’t think this happens to everyone though. When ever I make cool music I just lose my progress!

Good but there’s a problem. I really like this app and all the things you can do with it, but there are a few problems: - In a recent update the BW808 (and maybe some other drum sets) had some instruments switched. Previously my songs were fine, but where one instrument used to be, now there is another one. Can you please put the instruments back to where they were before? - I really like the ease of this app, but could you add a way to change the time signature? I would really like to make songs that are not always in 4/4 time Please fix these soon and thank you!

Used to love it…. Beatwave was nice before they chose to make users purchase a subscription. So all of my previous purchases are gone now. Also it crashes in the middle of projects. Oh, and the trial version now features several ads that pop up in the middle of creating… Formerly good app, turned to trash because of greed. 👎

Original Beatwave was Great!. This sold-out iteration of the app really screwed up something good. I used the versions developed under Collect3 all the time for a loooong time and had almost no issues, could tweak and modify any and all settings to no end with the small premium fee that I was happy to contribute to the developer. Now, you get ads every two minutes and need a *subscription* to fully use the entire program! One of the worst changes made here is that you can no longer choose your scale for the board; you’re stuck in the one they give you, B-C#-D-E-F#-G-A, which eliminates the possibility to create many many styles of music. Also, as you’d expect from a cash-grab like this, there is no real care put into the app beyond making it look fancy on the surface; this thing will crash on you and lose 30mins of your work, crash when trying to tweak the tiniest of variables, freeze up if you scroll too far in one direction, etc... Do not give this company money, they do not care about you or the product that they didn’t make.

Not the same. When I first used it. It was cheaper and better. You could upgrade the performance with a app called beatmaker plus and create way more sounds cause they converged through app called audio logic... just way less possibilities now. Only 3 stars now

Wow, with every update it’s worse. You guys just erased my projects again with the update. Thanks. I was just about to record Beatwave into Cubasis and take it out of the novelty app category…and there’s nothing there but a 3card monte sucking me into a $50 dollar purchase. I get you guys wanna get paid but let people enjoy what you released for free without bamboozling them or erasing data.

I dont see a way to be able to not start a trial when you first get it. I just now downloaded it, saw 0 way to use the app other than starting the trial. I also saw in the reviews someone complaining about the same thing as me, and the dev says that there is a way. So, what is said way?

Disappointing. I’ve had Beatwave since the OG back in 2011. Beatwave 2 was when I really started getting into it and I even paid the $10-$12 one-time-payment for all of the instruments and I enjoyed it a lot. I noticed the other day that this Beatwave is now under a different developer and that the one I already have on my phone is no longer on the App Store. Curiously, I downloaded this app to see if it was any different but it was exactly the same just a different developer and they added a subscription paywall behind the sound packs. It’s a little disappointing that I’d have to subscribe to get all of these sound packs when in the previous version of the app I already had access to all of them with my Pro purchase.

The app asks for too much.. I can’t even try it out, and the first thing it asks for is 8 dollars for only a week. Maybe a month, but not a week. One of my friends said that the app lost all of his songs because he didn’t pay for a couple weeks, and I can find any free app that would be better than spending that much money on this app. If you are gonna ask for that much money, please put it on the description. I don’t want to download something only for entertainment purposes, and find out that it cost 8 bucks a month. Unbelievable.

???. So, I haven’t used beatwave sense 2017...I came back in 2018 to the UPDATE. I lost ALL of my songs. And the newer version is SO Much harder to use... Also, was there even a Beatwave 2??? Please put the first beatwave back on the AppStore... Other than that this is a great app with so much potential :/ Btw I used the old beatwave on my iPad. And that’s broken so I can’t just use it on there like some other people stated in there reviews about this app.

Extremely disappointed with how this app has downgraded. I had bought the extra features for this app when it was a free app and you didn’t have to pay some annoying membership fee or subscription. Also I’m not even able to edit songs anymore. Whenever I try to add another sound track to my song the app always crashes making it impossible to get anywhere and make the music that I was so proud of what I’ve been able to make with this app. The original version was better! Please revert back to it so you don’t get anymore extremely upset customers! It’s in your best interest! You can’t suddenly make a free app $400 with one update! You can’t take away what people have paid for already just to make more money. If someone like myself has already purchased the extra features to get the full version of this app then they should be exempt of playing this stupid subscription fee! Also the most recent update said it fixed the pesky bugs that we told you about... not true at all! It still crashes whenever you want to add another sound track!

Not good. I downloaded this app to make music, but the 1st thing you see is a subscription thing. There’s a button that says “Try free & subscribe” and when you tap it, a thing pops up talking about a 3 day trial. Trial Sh-mile, this App needs to be updated, so people can just tap the “play” button and it will let you play. No money, No subscribing, No 3 day trial, just click “join” and play.

Says it’s free, immediately makes you start a 7 day trial. If I install this app bc it says free, I’m expecting it to be free. The second you open it the screen tells you to click 7 day free trial, no ‘X’ or cancel, you have to start the trial to continue. This is a subscription-mandatory app in order for you to use it. Don’t tell me it’s free. It’s free to install, yes, but to use anything on it you have to subscribe to it. Might as well put the price tag on the App Store.

New payment model makes me sad. Several weeks ago I purchased the extension packs and full features in the old Beatwave app and now I have to pay for them over and over again in the new version? $7.99 per week is a crazy price to ask! Don’t get me wrong, I’ve love using Beatwave to compose songs but I think that this is a bad decision. I will definitely not be using Beatwave 3. Also how can you exit out from the free trial in the new version of Beatwave? You should be able to skip that if you don’t want the pro features or expansion pack?

Thieves. I was using this app a year or two ago and it was great. Today, after reopening it after a long while, I see that the version I was using is no longer on the App Store and has been replaced by a version that seems to be inferior in many ways. Even worse, I can no longer access the several sound packs I had purchased since they’re now behind a $20 pay wall. That’s unacceptable. Either give me my money back or give me access to the things I paid for.

Used to be 5 star. When the original Beatwave came out years ago it was amazing. Very user friendly and you could even create links for your projects to show your friends. At one point, I had broken my device with all my first precious projects, but I still was able to listen to them from the links I had saved. After a while, those links stopped working. I had emailed the developer and they never responded. Years later here I am, attempting to contact the developer via email and they still do not respond at all, yet in the responses on the reviews they tell everyone to email them. Why? You won’t respond anyway. The projects I made on the original app are some of the only things I’ve created in my life that I was actually proud of. Lately it has been weighing on me greatly that I can not even listen to them anymore. I still have all the old links but they just redirect to the new apps main page to download the app. I am very sad and my inspiration has been lost for years. I keep trying to make more music occasionally and get absolutely nowhere with any DAW or app. I want my old projects. I want to share them with my fiancé. I want to expand on them. I miss them.

I can’t even play it. I am disappointed 😞 also no subscription just random ads every 2 seconds that would be much better 😁 I’m not hating.

Used to be a great program but,. I still have this one on my old iPad so I still have the original version of Beatwave. I loaded this on my new iPad Pro but immediately found out that it is a subscription app. When will these developers learn? I refuse to support subscription apps! And I suggest everyone else do the same because that’s how it continues. I don’t mind paying for an app or for a pro version. I don’t mind paying a one time fee, but I am not going to dole out money forever to one developer.

Definitely needs more improvement. Heatwave is horrible resd some of these comments and understand why but this is my side. It takes such a long time to load and every 20 seconds it keeps kicking me out which is so annoying also it is more of designs on the pad than actual music. It is like they spent 2 days making this app I would definitely not recommend this to anyone even isf they are an absolute beginner because this app dosen't help you compose music at all so dont download this app at all it really needs some improvement. 👿😡👿😡👿😡👿😡👿😡

It didn’t work. When the introduction of the app came up, it popped up with the subscription. Obviously you don’t have to do it but when the screen came up I couldn’t get out of it therefore not even being able to use the app. Idk if this is a mistake or I have to do the subscription?

“Pro features”. So I’ve recently been needing to make some of my own music for a little animation I’m making and I thought ‘why not get premium’ So I ended up getting premium. After I purchased I went back into the app and it was still the same, asking if I wanted to upgrade to premium. I tried restoring it, but it didn’t work. Then I went back into the App Store and to my subscriptions, just to check if I did indeed get premium. And right there on the screen it was showing that I did, i tried restoring again but nothing. I restarted the app, nothing. Don’t waste your money.

Why would I pay 10.49 a week for this?. Downloaded the app and immediately deleted when I saw that they are asking for 3 times as much as your average streaming service costs per month. What a joke, download garage band and spend the one time fee and you’ll have it forever.

Very good. I really like it, my only complaint is I would like to have a rock section with electric guitars and stuff.

This game is not free dont fell for the free music maker. 1- Well this app is not free and though it was 2- i wanted to pay so i can make my own music and pressed to pay every mouth some how they said that I could cancel it I wanted to cancel my subscription but I couldn’t I spend 12$ in 2 days i don’t know how to get ride of it the only thing that I’ve done is erase the app and wishing that the the app can really cancel my subscription can you please help me for it cause I don’t know what to do..

Good enough for a few minutes…. Good enough - to play for free for a few minutes. Terrible - as a ridiculously expensive paid subscription….Especially when apps like Grarage Band is free for IPhone users and it allows your own recording and so much more... Get rid of the subscription model and be reasonable w/ your pricing and you MAY?? be up to something.

This is not free.. The app doesn’t allow you to get off the subscription page. Everybody says there is a free version.

How do you use?. I’ve seen a lot of reviews and all of them state the same problem I find. This is supposedly a free app but I can’t get passed the opening page without paying. I don’t plan on paying, and seeing a lot of people were told to send an email I thought I’d ask first. I’m not sure how there are only one star reviews yet 4 stars overall.

dont even download it. its a free app, but you cant use it unless you start a free trial, which only lasts 7 days, and then pay $10 per WEEK. what happened to the free beatwave?

Deleted my daughter’s work. I’ve never had a problem on iPhone. I gave my iPad to my daughter and she created this amazing song. I wasn’t present but she realized her music was gone. I don’t know if the software is to blame or human error but I’m shocked her music wasn’t retained. I’ve never had an issue with this app before. It caused a ferocious argument. Now my whole family is mad at me. The song was so good. Now it’s gone.

Wow. I paid for this a while back only to reinstall and find out now it’s subscription based. So that $14 is useless now. Yikes. Go spend money on something worth your time that isn’t 40$ a month

Subscription change Ruined this app.. I purchased the pro packs years ago and now I’ve reinstalled on a new iPad and can’t get those back without paying a monthly subscription. This is horrible. Such greed has ruined what was possibly my favourite app. Don’t waste your time. I am very upset by this change.

How do you do it free. How do you just use it free? There is no option but to start the trial. Pls fix

Sound glitch and extra costs. While trying to use the app, all sound would stop for no reason. Soon after, the app would crash. I only had the app about 10 minutes before I unsubscribed and deleted. I got the free trial and was going to check it out. Seemed like something I would like. But I couldn’t even add a guitar unless I bought an extra pack. How are you going to charge $10 a week and hide the other subscription options? $70 a year is pretty good, but compared to the $10 a week you advertise and automatically apply that’s a $450 difference. What a waste.

Scummy tactics. Would have been nice if you didn’t lose purchase history so you could charge me what I already spent on this app as soon as I got it again.

Y’all some shady mfs. I got the free trial and it wouldn’t let me access the app so I went into my subscription tab and downgraded it from the standard ~$10 a week to the ~$6 a month and it still wouldn’t let me access it so I canceled the free trial and just got the full $10 subscription, and it charged me ~$16 for both subscriptions

Used to be good. I used to love this app so much. I had HUNDREDS of songs that I made on here. It was great for beginners, very user friendly, and easy to use. I have downloaded this game for every phone I’ve had ever since 8th grade (about 10 years ago) and every time I’ve re- downloaded it they’ve made changes that made the game better, but ITS ALWAYS BEEN FREE and NEVER had ad walls. I can’t describe how disappointed I was when I downloaded it this time around. Yes it’s free but they only give you about 6 free sounds to work with, and they just dangle the rest of the sounds in front of your nose, but if you want the rest of them you have to pay $12 A MONTH! What a joke! No one here downloaded your app because they’re kicking off their career in producing. So please don’t take yourselves so seriously. Worst of all it’s one of those ad walls where if you don’t press the tiny “x” button in the corner juuust right it’ll take you straight to the App Store! I don’t usually write reviews but this app used to be a 5 star and now giving it a 1 would be generous. Even if you went back to the first version of this app from 10 years ago it would still be better than it is now. If the app changes, so will my review, but for now it’s two very enthusiastic thumbs down for me.

Trial. The application is great and the mechanics are easy to use, but it starts you off by forcing you into a free week trial, then billing your account. I just wanted to make music, not use the exclusive stuff. I didn’t care about that.

WHERE IS THE X So I can play for free. Hi I am right this because I literally can’t find the X say it’s a free download of this on TickTock because if there was an ad for it and I never saw any any any exes so I’ll be waiting for the next hour probably just for a dumb X

Why the trial. I think the app would be great if we didn’t have to do the free trial first, but it makes it so you HAVE to do the free trial just to get into the actual music making part of the app. As I said I think it would be a cool app if we could use it without having to do the free trial, even if we had access to limited things.

Listen to the reviews. The reviews are right, I didn’t see an X button anywhere when I was trying to get around the free trial and I know my parents won’t let me have the free trial I might not use the game that much anyway (I’m ten) do not download this game unless you can afford premium.

Lies. I look at it in the AppStore and check the in-app purchases, and the only purchases is for premium, I don’t want premium I just want to use it for free, so I open it up and it forces me to use premium, I can’t exit out or nothing

Only a paid version...and expensive too!. I used to use Beatwave awhile go and I’m getting back into music production. I downloaded the new app, but there’s no way to access the free version! You have to pay $7.99 a week to use it. Which is about $35 a month! Or $415 a year! That’s more than Adobe Creative Suite costs. I’m deleting the app now, goodbye Beatwave.

Not good anymore. This used to be a good app. My songs are all gone..where? Also, I bought an add-on pack, now it is also gone. I’ve been emailing with ‘support’ for months, waiting up to a month for a reply, and the replies don’t even make sense.

I can’t hit the x on the ads. I can’t play the game because when an ad pops up, it won’t go away. So I have to refresh the app then all my progress is gone

Soundcloud BeatStorm. I sure miss being able to add multiple effects to individual instruments and actually being able to copy things, along with many other things.

So I got this app..... expecting it to be free as it said but it would not let me into the app, it would not let me past the page where it offers the premium membership it would not let me use the app despite me buying the paid app before and now that version is not available so save yourself the time and don’t get this app

This app was so good 10 years ago. It used to be so easy to use, had tons of instruments & sounds, but now it’s like.... what happened?!? The classic should be re-released as a stand-alone!! Would love to see that.

Subscription required. I downloaded it and immediately it said to buy premium, which is $8 a week! There is a free trial but you cannot use the app unless you get it but, it automatically charges you after the trial is up. So if you don’t cancel it in time it will charge you after the 7 day free trial.

Fix your ads. I'm fine with ads but some of them have such a small x it's literally too small to tap. The only way out of this situation is to close the app and delete your project. Fix this issue it's God awful and the only reason I'm deleting this frustrating app

Buggy from the start. I just came back to iOS and had the $10 original Beatwave Pro which was brilliant. Now Im paying an expensive subscription for an app that doesn’t seem to be able to export songs, or change the names of sessions without completely stalling and crashing. Can this please be fixed ASAP?

Fecc off im not gonna pay a subscription. If your gonna make a subscription be required to use your app at least make it obvious before the download id be fine with like a 2 dollar one time payment

You have to pay to do anything. From what I can tell you have to pay to play ANY of it and I could be wrong but when I downloaded the app I couldn’t play or find the x so I didn’t have to get premium the app looks good but the fact you have to pay to do anything is stupid there should be non premium beats and I could be wrong but that’s what I saw

Meh. This app is ok but the interface is pretty bad. You have to record the song manually through the app instead of “sharing” the track like you might do with Garageband.
