Great game!. This is by far my favorite Mahjong game; the design and the experience are fantastic! But there’s something else that I wanted to mention that I really appreciate and makes me aligned with your product. Your ads! The selection of sponsors that you’ve partnered with are all high quality brands, and I am aligned with there products and messaging. Quality, healthy products all around!

A visual pairing of tiles that require patience. Challenging enough for visual, patient and analyzing skills for downtime. It is perfect for brain activity that is not real hard or easy. Must pay attention to visual details and concentrate carefully to move ahead accurately to successfully finish each game. Haven’t play it long enough to judge enough games yet, but love it so far.

Addictive Mahjong. This app is everything you would want in a Mahjong puzzle app. There are a wide variety of boards and more are unlocked as you progress. The same for tiles and backgrounds. The hint feature is great. All puzzles are solvable. If at first you don’t succeed, you can try again. The game is visually beautiful. Just a pleasure to play. My new favorite time waster.

Love! But 30+ second ads & freezing, Blerg…. I love this game & Brainium is my #1 go-to app for games. But… Several recent reviews complain about 30+ second ads, & this has happened to me repeatedly. I understand having to watch ads to get a free app, but that is nuts. Plus after hitting X another ad (or the App Store) opens. And in general it freezes pretty frequently, & yes I offloaded the app. Whoever responded saying you only have 5-7 second ads implies the reviewers are wrong about the crazy long ads, but nope. It happens maybe every ~15th ad (I play hours worth of games daily, it is my zen ;P). One improvement I’d love to see - I had this goal to complete every daily game this year, but having completed all Jan games except 1 (& spent 5+ hours trying to solve it, grumble), as of today Jan is longer accessible. Can you fix that? Thank you!!

Why I love Majong!. A friend introduced this to me when we were at a resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I loved it from the first game. The more you play it, the more you learn all the variables; i.e, you can change the faces of the tiles; you can change the color of the board; you can change the configuration of the layout on the board! It never gets boring or uninteresting. Plus, it tells you how long it took you to win, and keeps score of your progress. It’s a real great game!

Extremely short ads and even better game design. I downloaded so many different Mahjong apps before sticking to this one, the problems I had with other ones included things like this: timers, highlighting playable tiles without the option to turn that off, long ads, messy design setup, and little to no options. I’ve only been playing for less than 24 hours but I can already tell that this specific Mahjong app was by far the closest thing I was looking for. So far I have zero complaints.

I much prefer Brainium’s old mahjong... This one is too expensive and the ads are very intrusive. They no longer support the old Mahjong game so I can no longer play a game that I paid for…. I will not fall for that again… Update. I tried to like this one but it is really terrible. The old Brainium Mahjong had a shuffle option if you did not solve the puzzle. This one does not so it is just too frustrating. Deleted.

Too many commercials. Good game. I played this game for a long time and got really far with my points but I just now decided to delete the game because there were a lot of commercials. I know the game has in-game purchases but what I have a problem with is when you tick the “x” to close the commercial and it takes you to another screen and you have to tick the “x” for that screen too and then it takes you back to the last screen. It wasn’t this bad in the beginning. What I’ve experienced lately was having to repeatedly close the commercial multiple times. Sometimes 4 times. I got fed up and keeping the game was not worth it.

Porno ads!!!. I have been enjoying this game up until today. Be warned. If you play the version with ads you may find yourself being advertised games with a pornographic theme. Shame on the developers and advertisers for allowing something that if printed would absolutely be restricted from underage children from viewing. Your promo says appropriate for 4+! This type of advertising is offensive and there is no option of blocking the ad. That leaves me no choice but to delete the ap since I’ve been playing the game with my child. Sorry guys you absolutely blew it. The ad was degrading to women and totally inappropriate and uncalled for. I’m highly offended. Clean up your act!!!!

Stuck on one layout. I really enjoy playing this game. The background is visually pleasing and the tiles are pretty and easy to distinguish between them. Some configurations are more challenging than others which keeps the game interesting, but a few days ago I stopped getting different layouts and now I get the same one over and over and over again. It’s shaped like an X. What happened?

Ridiculously difficult daily games. I finally had to delete this game after spending four days trying to solve a daily puzzle. That is just absolutely absurd, especially for a game that is touted as being accessible for beginners. I don’t mind challenges and enjoyed the app for over a month. However, it got absolutely impossible and I lack the time or energy to spend hours of my life trying to find the one possible solution for some of the games. If you’re looking to relax without having to spend hours on the same game, this is not the app for you.

Fun and Frustrating. Was fun at first and over time gets very frustrating. Supposedly all puzzles are solvable but I have come across quite a few that all I get are dead ends no matter the path or how many hints I do. Many times I have either skipped the puzzle and wanted to delete the game. This needs to have shuffle and/or show the solution (after multiple attempts) Pros: nice imagery and layouts. Fun way to kill some time. Cons: multiple puzzles unsolvable with no help

Tried so many Mahjongs, this is my favorite. I think I download it like six or seven Mahjong‘s and they all had some weird thing that I didn’t like. Either ads that were at the bottom bothering me while I’m trying to relax, or boring colors or they made it too easy and I didn’t feel challenged at all. This one popped up while I was playing solitaire from the same company and I love the colors, that there are no ads while I’m playing except between boards, and that it tells you when you have no more place and let zero wind if you want to, it also highlights what’s available to play after you’ve been sitting there for a while.

I have loved this game for years. I discovered it when I lived and worked in Honolulu. I took the bus to and from work. I loved it but sometimes the wait was long and Mahjong kept me engaged and entertained. I’m a writer and as I wait for my new home to be built, Mahjong again helps me relax and get ready for the next few hours of work.

I love all Brainium games!. I got hooked on the solitaire — the BEST solitaire ever! You can customize the card backs & the background w your own photos - I LOVE that. So, I love Mahjong & when I saw they had it, I had to try it & I wasn’t disappointed. But I’d love to see being able to customize this game like their solitaire … at least a custom background. It’s a fun game, limited ads (& they’re short or you can stop them in like 10-15 seconds). 5stars!

I love this game. It’s lovely background, no screaming doomdads everywhere. It’s wonderful. If I had a suggestion , it would be to have more different puzzles . Seems I work the same ones over and over. But to play quietly without constant bombardment, timers etc. this is worth it. I wrote them about their parental idea of locking puzzles til you earn the right to play them. They simply restated that’s what they do , although I didn’t see that when I chose their product. So they asked me if I wanted to change my review and I decided I’d go from 5 to 3 because I don’t think a game should act like parents, unless it is a game with specific levels. This is mahjong for Pete’s sake

Very methodical. Extremely challenging once you understand the specific branching solutions. There is no shuffle, but every match has a solution. If you run out of tiles, then you must rewind to branch out your tiles differently. A greater test of memory and problem solving than most because there are key tiles to match in certain sequences. Don’t be mad if your times don’t reflect other mahjong games, because this game will give you a cumulative time per match which includes all rewinds, and some boards will require more than one rewind because even the most logical tile reducing methods won’t always pan out due to intended tile variety and placement.

Love this game. It seems as though this mahjong game allows you to finish the game at your own pace. I hate those that basically say “time is up” and end the game just when you are getting into it. Thank you for a fun game for all levels of players. They do show you how long it took you to finish but that just gives you something to go by to beat your own record.

Beautiful but frustrating. I tried this app because I really love my Branium solitaire app and enjoy mahjong. As expected the game is clean and beautifully designed. Major problem with the ending of the game. The game states that all games are possible. Three times I reached a dead end where you could go no farther without backing up. You have no idea how far to back up in this situation and it is very frustrating. The fourth time I got all of the way down to the last two and one was stacked on top of the other and that was that. They need to devise a shuffle for when things lock up at the end.

Great brain puzzles. I love that each puzzle is solvable. Some have multiple ways to get a solution but a few only seem to have one unique solution and those can sometimes take me days and multiple attempts to solve. But I’m ok with that since you can choose a different puzzle to work on if you don’t feel like solving the really hard one just then. Truly a favorite app and if you like thinking puzzles and not just pushing buttons then I highly recommend.

Best game. I love this game. You never know whether it’s a quick, fun and easy game or one that takes a longer time. It’s my absolute go-to game. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is that at one point it freezes up and your only choice is to delete the game and start over again. I’m now waiting 3 days to see if I can revive it but it’s still frozen so I have to delete it for the fifth time.

Playable. Winnable. Enjoyable. But …. It's true. Every game is winnable. Dead ends are a fact of life. Duplicate tiles do sit on top of one another. It happens. So go back to the beginning and make different choices the next time. Switch up your strategy to find the right path. Each round is winnable, if you try enough. (If only real life were like that!) Not every board is fun. Not every background is amazing. Not every set of game pieces is pleasant to look at. Nonetheless there is an aesthetic that's mostly consistent and you can choose combinations that don't insult the eye —which is better than most competitors. There are outstanding bugs however. For example, the Statistics view claims I've played 142 games. Not true. I think it stopped counting once I hit Dragon Level 10. I have 1485 gold crowns, so I've actually played 495 games. And what about that promise to have bring us "More items soon!" It took just a few days to reach DL 10 and I'm sure I'm not alone. It would be fantastic to have the levels planned and delivered to the app as soon as 10% or so of players reach the peak.

Pretty and Frustrating. It looks very nice. I like the different boards and layouts. However, there are very few of them to start. And it takes forever to get more. I get bored playing the same board layout multiple times. Also, don’t advertise that every board is winnable because you can go back and undo all your moves. There are still boards that you can lose no matter how many times you go back. I just played one. This is frustrating for me when I want to be able to create winning streaks. This app might fit well for some people, but it’s not a great fit for me.

Mahjong. I tink I wan tao gu tā mā de Yīgè kě'ài de zhōngguó rén boi Zài tā de zhícháng! I’m guessing that is a good statement. My Mandarin is a bit rusty. Lol. I enjoy the game. I’d always heard of it but never thought that I could play. The latest version is a bit more complicated than the original version but I still like it. It goes down as smooth as a cold bottle of Tsing Tao, which is one of my favorite beers. Actually I liked the old clear bottles because you could see the dregs floating in the bottom.

Love the game but . . .. When reviewers state that some puzzles can’t be solved the reply from the developer is always the same: All puzzles can be solved. Well I just found one that can’t be solved. The game was left with two stacks of two tiles each with one of the top tiles having two matches at the very beginning of the puzzle and the other top tile having no matches the entire game. I hit the undo arrow a few times to verify there were no previous matches for this top tile. Also, there is no way to advance in this game without matching the other top tile’s duplicates at the beginning. So the game is left with these two stacks. Wish I could send screenshots to prove it.

Great Design and Game Choices. I just recently started playing this and it’s pretty addictive! I really enjoy playing this. I like the tile and board and background selections which make the games more interesting in terms of changing things up. Sometimes I want an easy game and sometimes I want to challenge myself. I also appreciate that the ads between games are not long and tiresome. I haven’t tried other Mahjong apps but I could tell that this was one of the better ones out there. My one complaint is about reaching a dead end and not knowing where or how far to go back. This is a game that’s based more on choices and luck than on pure logic. So to that degree, I find the randomness component a bit frustrating. Maybe I’m not a good candidate for card games either! I was not formally familiar with Mahjong before this app, nor am I familiar with the traditional 4-person version. I have one suggestion for the Developer. It would be great if an optional feature in Options could be added whereby a player could opt to learn exactly where they chose wrong and go back to that point. As it is now, depending on my mood, I randomly go back midway or start again from the very beginning. In either case, it’s difficult to remember the exact tiles I selected or in what order. I’d say two-thirds of the time, I complete it on the second go-around. But I never bother opting for a third try! I think having the option to know where to go back to would be a nice feature.

What’s up?. Thank you very much for telling me how to solve the problem…the suggestion worked! I have Brainium Mahjong on both my iPad and iPhone. While the statistics are synched with regard to # of crowns and the daily puzzle, the iPad game is always the same pattern, no matter how many times I refresh it. This is not a problem on the iPhone. How can this be overcome? I love the game, even if I’ve played through all the board levels to date. Can this be fixed?

Playing Games. I truly love playing games on your website. Your website is safe and secure. I was never exposed to games when I was growing up. I have learned how playing games is associated to cognitive development, alternative ways of thinking for problem solving. Parents who expose their children to games gives them a head start in life. Excellent, could recommend changes. This is my go-to game for boring situations, which is a very important need in everyone’s life. Waiting for pizza, falling asleep, on the toilet, perfect! I do think the Donut board is horrendous, I routinely spent hours on a single board. I play randomizing the boards but I figured out if I don’t play any pieces I can just start a new game if I land on Donut and it won’t cost me my streak. A little prompt pops up saying it will but it actually won’t, I’ve checked. Also if I’m facing an excruciating board of any other flavor and don’t want to lose my streak I can just click on the Daily Puzzle - or wait until the next day’s - and once I’ve beaten it, hit new game from that screen and that old board is forgotten! Otherwise if you hit back it will go back to it. The reason you need all this at all is because there is no difficulty setting. You can play one board and get a PB at 38 seconds and then play the next that will take you 3 hours. Some boards are almost impossible not to beat on the first try. Others are almost impossible to beat on the first try. But I would say a difficulty setting where you hit that sweet spot between 3-10 minutes would be golden. And for people who have no life and want to spend a gazillion hours on Donuts and tougher Mounds, a harder setting they can choose.

Found the Mahjong I was looking for.. I have tried a lot of different Mahjong games and this is the best. No gimmicks like tiles coming together in the center of the board before disappearing, distracting you from your next move. My one complaint is that when I select a new game on my iPad I always get the same s shaped style puzzle. Whereas I get a variety of puzzles when I select a new game on my iPhone. Much prefer to play on the bigger screen of my iPad.

Brainium is Amazing. Thank you so much . I love this app . It has been fun turning over all the matching tiles and you get hints to find more . The game is challenging without being impossible to play . I get better with practice . The tiles are beautiful . I also think it’s so much fun to start a new game and see all the tiles cascading into a new shape . It has really helped me to focus on fun and is very mind enhancing and relaxing at the same time . I’m starting to see ads but nothing too invasive . Great job and a shout out to the wonderful artists , programmers and engineers who designed this version of Mah jong .

Fun. I like this version better than others out there. It is fun to have new tiles or boards to work towards. I also like the daily puzzle especially because it gives you the opportunity to plays boards you may not already have. I would make one suggestion though. Once the month is over the daily puzzles for that month close out. It would be nice to be able to move through the months to play older puzzles. I like that you can play as many puzzles as you want each day and there is not a bombardment of ads like with other apps.

Beautiful, Satisfying game. This is my favorite now. I play to relax my mind, so I like a puzzle that lets me set the difficulty. Sometimes I want it to be easy, sometimes a challenge. This game lets the player go back to previously played boards, so you decide. It’s beautiful, just gorgeous. Different themes, colors are bright, pieces are easy to read, the art alone is very interesting, it’s a pleasure to play this game. Thank you Brainium for another great game.

Great Game, Great App. This app is just overall very solid. The design is sleek, modern, and easy to navigate. The progression system is straightforward and has satisfying unlocks. Tiles are legible, which makes playing easier. Game is challenging without being discouraging. The ads are pretty unobtrusive as well. The daily puzzles have all been fun so far (though I wish you got 5 crowns instead of the normal 3 for completing them which would give players more incentive to play each day, especially because the dailies feel a little tougher). I’m glad that I know every puzzle is solvable so I don’t give up after a few dead ends (have spent over an hour trying to solve some puzzles, which makes winning feel better, in my opinion). The challenge is just right for me in this game. Makes me use my brain and earn my win sometimes and other times I get an easy one I can sail right through. Overall, if you’re looking for a Mahjong app, I think this is the best one out there. Highly recommend. It’s exactly what I want: satisfying puzzle game in a sleek, easy-to-use app.

Too hard. The regular games are nice. They are mostly solvable and they will automatically shuffle if needed which I like. I also like the aesthetic of the game. What I don’t like is that the daily challenges are too challenging! I’ve only solved a couple and I have tried some of them over 10 times. I like a little challenge but I swear some of them are not solvable. It takes the fun out of playing when I simply cannot figure them out. Not sure if I’ll keep this one. It’s a shame because I really like everything else

This is getting frustrating! Too many ads. First review: This has gotten to the point that an ad for some other app pops up after every game! I can’t close the ad right away, and when I do there is a second page for the same ad that I have to close before I can play. Ready to delete! Second review: Now locks up after every few games. I’m done. Deleting….

Mahjong Brainium. I have been having so a lot of problem with this game this month! It’s been freezing up almost every game. I have too double click and slide the screen up what a pain plus it better not hurt my iPad! This is a fun game otherwise. Jan E. This is an update to upper review. I updated my iPad and it said said it may require me to turn off my tablet. So did turned it off and was a lot better, it still freezes up now and then! Thanks Jan I’m sorry but this game stated freezing again too often it shouldn’t do this!🙁

Solving. I love this game. I like this app. I love all the different varieties of boards & different styles of tiles that you can earn by completing boards. Very cool! It is very addicting. It’s like playing solitaire. Biggest issue is the fact that the app states that every board is solvable. NOT TRUE! I mean that’s okay because that is what solitaire is like. Not every game you get victory. It’s challenging w I like challenging. But for pete sake, don’t state that every board is solvable. I was on the board shaped like cherries or something. Down to my last few tiles. Couldn’t find no green dragon anywhere! No matter how many times I clicked the undo button & went through the board again & again, that green dragon was not going to show up.

Freezing and torturous ads. UPDATE: Developer response is weak. Regardless of how you spin your advertising tactics, that doesn’t explain what’s going on with the app freezing so often. Love the game but looking for another due to constant freezing. Uses sneaky tactic with the X to close an ad—after watching the 30+ second ad, click the X and it takes you to…the ad or a loop of ad/app/ad/app. I’m ok with sitting through ads for a free game but this is ridiculous. Then there is the unrelenting cycle of watching ads then having the game freeze, requiring it to be closed and restarted. I’d pay for the ad-free version but based on this performance, I don’t trust it to function properly. I’m out—this is a good game but here are dozens more to choose from.

Elegant interface. Beautiful, love the dragons. The tiles are so beautiful, the boards are varied enough that I have played for over an hour and have not gotten the setups repeated. That each is solvable keeps me engaged. I even like the sounds! This is not cheesy like many other games are, tho the ‘ads’ for other games def are. I’d pay for this to be continuous!

nice layout but frustrating. It is a beautiful board layout. I have many other Mah Jongg apps and no matter what the level of difficulty they all let you finish the game. This one does not. Therefore, it gives no sense of completion. Just a message that says: You have reached a dead end. Try a new path. But it does not offer a new path. It only lets you end the game, in frustration. Not a good sense of accomplishment for children—being told you are never going to successfully complete this.

A solid Mahjong game.. I’d rate this game a 3.5/5. It’s good enough I don’t plan to uninstall it, but there are obvious ways it could be better. First, the good stuff - the ads aren’t constantly there. I’ve deleted quite a few apps for having ads every five seconds of gameplay. This isn't one of them. - The undo button has a scroll bar. So, if you can’t get any further on a round, you scroll back and forth between your past matches and decide where you want to continue from. Now, features I wish it had. - identical tiles not being on top of each other. 50% of my dead ends are because two identical tiles are stacked on each other. I would very much appreciate the game generating algorithm fixing that before the match starts. - Being able to turn off boards while using random. I don’t like half the boards. I’d like to use random with only the remaining half, but I can’t. Thus, I just manually pick my board. - Being able to upload my own background. I like my iPhone wallpaper more than these backgrounds.

Saving the Fifth Star…. After the best Mahjong game, that I paid for, disappeared from the App Store, I tried all the others but ended up deleting each because it just didn’t match the quality of my favorite. Then came along Brainium with their version. It is just about perfect: clean board design, solvable puzzles from simple to difficult, no bugs…just really enjoyable. My only suggestion to male this a five star game? Increase the size of the tiles, or provide an option to increase the tiles…The tiles take up less than 50% of the board on an iPad…and the eye strain makes me play less than I would like. Just a thought!

Superb Mahjong. This is a wonderful game. It is visually pleasing, which is what attracted me first, along with it being a Branium product. It is the frustrating, addictive, & ultimately satisfying. I have a hand tremor so I use it to calm the tremor by focusing on the game while using my hands. I cannot recommend this app enough. The ads are few and basically far between. I love mahjong and this version is the very best!

Minor problem. I play often so my rating is high of course but the developers HAVE to look into the fact that they stack the same match puzzle pieces on top of each other sometimes. and it’s impossible to win the round without having to play the round multiple times because of it. I’m here for the game, I enjoy it so much but this should definitely be looked into, I don’t like playing the same round multiple times, I soon loose interest and close the app out.

10/10 would recommend. Perfect game to destress with. There aren’t levels that get harder and harder and the tile/background designs you are able to earn are cool and interesting. Each ad lets you skip within five seconds, or lets you close it immediately, I like this feature a lot (most other games make you sit through a full 30 seconds). A very good laidback app that I would recommend to anyone who wants something just mindless enough that it’s not overwhelming, but takes enough mental power to not get too bored.

Great game, but app constantly crashes. This is by far the best version of mahjong I’ve played and I love it. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because the app tends to crash right as you try to load a new game. Not sure why but suspect it has something to do with the ads that usually load before the game does. I constantly have to delete and reinstall which is annoying. I really hope they fix this glitch in an otherwise perfect game!

Elegantly Challengely. Clean looking, apparently easy at first, but sure enough it increases its challenge as progress is made. Sometimes the solution might be staring at you, but the moments drag until recognition, or worst still, the much last resort Hint is pressed, and Voila! So there it was all along? The designers have taken an elevated approach to the mahjong style of game, and made it pleasing to the eyes, while keeping the player engaged. Certainly a good exercise for the critical mind, and challenging enough to at times becoming mildly frustrating, but all this in a good way. Nice Game. 4.5 Stars.

Favorite version but not all puzzles are solvable.. I chose this version because the art is beautiful. It would be very cool if you could build a custom deck from all the tiles you have unlocked. I agree with other reviewers. It is my favorite version of Majong and there are puzzles that are not solvable. I have gotten to the end with just two of the same tile on top of each other. This is still solvable. It is an easy fix; simply hit the undo/back arrow to find the other set and make a different selection or leave that set until you uncover the two stacked on top of each other again. However there have been puzzles that after trying all available paths, even keeping track by writing routes and notes down on paper, you cannot uncover the appropriate tiles. Just because it is built from the ground up with a match for every tile does not mean that all matches are “uncoverabable.” The designers should not make this statement. It makes the game frustrating and not worth the time spent trying to solve puzzles that are not solvable. If you make this claim then a path needs to be verified not assumed. It would be nice if truly all puzzles were solvable because then you could enjoy the challenge instead of coming to feel that the game is frustrating and a waste of time.

My favorite game to play. This is a fun game & is well made. The tiles & boards are fun & the colors are soothing. It’s a relaxing game. It can also be challenging, but not to the point of being frustrating. I like that every bird is solvable & i have spent a long time on some to try to figure out the solution. I enjoy the daily puzzle. They seem to be on the more challenging side. The ads aren't super obtrusive, which is so refreshing. It’s the one game that I don’t get sick of & delete. It’s probably the best Mahjong I’ve found (and I have tried several). You won’t regret this app.

Great till you get to level 9.... Great till you get to level 9, then it’s monotonous with same board - a super easy one - again and again and again. Would have thought it would become more challenging ?

Mahjong. Had to delete mahjong. The university of Tasmania advertising won’t go away, with no way of closing it. To play , I had to keep closing the app and reopen to play another game.

Fun game!!. As usual Brainium has made another great app. I’ve heard about Majong for years and years but never knew how to play. Brainium does a great job of making apps with games that make you think and strategize but they also do a great job of designing the app so that it teachers you how to play the game. I’m totally hooked on Majong!

Brain injury.. Excellent mating game with other rules and different height placement make you think to clear the board, if you cannot match all and clear tiles game is reset.

Outstanding version of Mahjong. It’s relaxing. It’s zen. It’s polished and enjoyable. The between-game ads are the short versions and you can pay a one-time fee to remove them entirely. I did. The devs did a great job on this. Hats off to you.

Great version of the classic Mahjong game. I’m very happy with this download. The game is very visually pleasing and the ads are short and sweet. The only thing that I think would make it better is the option of having a soothing music during gameplay.

Surprised. Just beginning. Not as easy as it seems - had to realize which plays were and were not connected in order to play. Makes it more interesting and small differences make you look twice. Will get better. Will update🧐

Many levels of play. I love this game — you might solve it on the first try, or you can keep retrying a hundred times, changing one move each time until you finally solve it. And, each one is solvable — that’s what I like.

Colorful and pleasing to the eye. Some mahjong games are just a little “dry and flat” to the eye. Sometimes playing a game is merely for the pleasure one gets from the movement of the pieces, how the pieces please the “mind’s eye”, and just a chance to work on the board to watch the colors and artistry of the pieces. My version is purely a chance to look at something pleasing to the eye.

So close!. I used to have a Mah Jong game that I loved, but they stopped AP dating the app years ago, so I can’t play it anymore. I’ve tried several different versions since, and there are none I like as much. This one was so close, but it really needs a shuffle option! At least 1 shuffle per game would be nice. Backing up and trying to randomly guess what to do differently from what point is not so fun. 😕

Brainium. This is by far the most fun I have had with a game in a long time. It is very addictive. I have it on my iPhone and my iPad. I like winning but when I lose I keep retiring until I win or just give up.

Brain Activity. I love this version of Mahjong because this game helps to strengthen & exercise my brain! My mental acuity is important to maintain especially since I am in my 60’s! This game sharpens my concentrating stamina when I solve the puzzles in the least amount of time! Try it and See!

You just…..match the same tiles?. Maybe I’ve missed the point, but all this seems to be is “match the same pictures and you win” like a preschool game. Perhaps I’m being hasty in my review, but the game has not offered any new rules aside from this and it’s massively disappointing if that’s the case. I was also hoping for an app that taught me how to play real mahjong. If you like matching pretty pictures, this is the game for you.

Stop this ad. I am going to delete this game that I really like because the ad for the disgusting doctor game is making me sick. I've seen it at least twice in three last few minutes of playing, and it makes me want to vomit. Just thought you should know.

Awesome!. I normally don’t even write reviews about apps, but I had to for this one. This app runs very smoothly. There aren’t a ton of ads every 60 sec like some other apps have. This game is very engaging. It’s fun working my way up to new levels and playing on different board shapes, with different tiles, etc.

Beautifully designed and fun to play. I’ve worked my way through all of the levels and had a great time doing it. When may we expect additional levels? I love the themes and clever tile designs. Great work!

Brainium = Quality. Stable, clean, ad free. It’s really enjoyable when a developer doesn’t use an overly pop culture candy colored hyper stimulating color scheme. Brainium is has done everything right. I have all their games.

Frustrating progress throttle. “All Crowns Collected for Today” is a really frustrating message. Sometimes I want to binge play—like on a long flight. Why cap daily progress? It doesn’t make sense and feels like a really artificial way to prolong the overall game. I don’t get it. It’s still going to be fun long after I’ve “finished” and collected everything.

Mahjong Journey. There are too many Aswan it’s too difficult to get back to the game you want to play. I understand the need for ads but they are irritating enough there is no way I would download one of them.

Branium Mahjong. I love to play this game. The graphics are beautiful. But I absolutely loathe bing stalled or interrupted by the obnoxious come ons for other games I will never download, like Royal Match. Delightful design!. Mahjong apps are almost always the same, the game doesn’t change, just the design of the tiles. Usually boring and repetitive. Not so here, it’s a refreshing new design that makes the game enjoyable again! Bravo!

Best Mahjong. I love your Solitaire, so I downloaded your Mahjong as soon as I saw it. I have tried a few other mahjong apps, and this one is definitely the best. Very relaxing, yet challenging. I like that there are no “penalties,” but that points are fairly easy to earn. Ads are there, but not having to watch the entire ad is a rare treat!

I get it now. I was frustrated because I kept hitting dead ends and couldn’t understand why they say every puzzle is solvable. Thanks to the Developer for responding. Now I understand. It’s still, off and on, frustrating, but I’ve never played this game before and I’m learning.

Awesome!!. Awesome app. Very fun to play. A couple of thing I think would be a great edition would be 1) an option in the settings to be able shuffle the tiles . 2) an app for the Mac and Apple TV. I am really impressed by all the great updates, keep up the great work.

What’s the strategy here?. I really like games where there’s more strategy than chance involved. It’s why I really like Brainium games. This game, however, seems more like just a tile matching game with little strategy. I don’t know much about Mahjong, but I thought it was about strategy. Am I missing something? On the plus side, I really enjoy the beautiful tiles and overall look of the layout.

Review. I have a love hate relationship with this game. It is the most challenging of this type of game. I love when I win, but hate when I am almost at the end and the pathway doesn’t work and I have to start all over. But, that is what makes it so challenging. The other games of this genre are just too easy.

Brainium Challenge. This is a great game but very challenging to win which makes it a good workout for your brain that can be a very tough trainer as a memory coach. My experience is don’t expect to win every game the first time. It’s worth both the money and the experience.

Beautiful App, But Frustrating to Play. I love the design of this app, but the “try a different path” set up is just dumb. People download & play games because they want to unwind from the day. The “try a different path” frustrated me to the point where I deleted the app off of my phone. I even wrote Brainium to suggest they do a “shuffle” option like what every other Mahjong game offers, but they ignored the suggestion. My advice is to skip this app & download a different Mahjong game if you want to unwind and not get angry.

Every Game Now Ends in A Dead End!!!. This game just goes from bad to worse!!!! The past 2 days, every time I have played the game it has resulted in the message “You have reached a dead end”. Please try another game”!!!!! The Developers keep telling me all games are winnable. They are obviously clueless about what is going on with this game. I tried replaying games and kept getting the same results. At least other games I play, the developers take the comments seriously and actually fix what is broken!!!!!

Needs a “show me the solution” option.. Great app I love it but I wish there was an option to shoe how to solve the daily puzzles when you’ve spent 11 hours on one with no solving it in sight. It is EXTREMELY frustrating to me when no matter how many times I try a new strategy it’s virtually impossible to see what the problem is ( which it is always two identical tiles stacked on top of each other.)

Difficulty increasing with play time. The boards would be more interesting if they had levels of difficulty based on the judgement of your skill level!

Favorite Mahjong. My favorite Mahjong game. Like being able to select the layout and when I need a change, the daily games are my go to. My only complaint is the game freezes. I end up having to remove app and reload. Any idea why this happens?

Best Game Ever. Its perfect in every way! Challenging and easy at the same time. Variety and levels. Amazing set up. Nothing bad at all. Perfect ratio of ads!!!!! One of my favorite parts is there is not an ad every 30 seconds!!!!

Nice game, crazy ads!. I really enjoy the daily puzzle and have been playing it for quite some time. Lately, however, the ads have been taking too long to close. And most have a second screen that is timed also before it can be closed. I think most people know if they are interested in an advertised product quickly and there is no need to take so long before being able to close the ad. And then, if a move in the game is reversed, another ad often appears. Any pleasure playing the game is obliterated by the very annoying long and frequent ads. Must delete game

Majhong. I really enjoy this version of the game. I also want to say Thank You for the landscape view! My iPad (12.9”) gets tipsy when I have to turn it sideways so I won't download any games that only allow the portrait view.

Ad - Freeze - restart - add Freeze. Been playing this game to wind down for years, recently every time an add plays, it freezes the app and I have to Force close and relaunch the app. I read a couple Other reviews with same issues and tried the suggestions with no avail. It’s becoming annoying enough that I posted a review about it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Mahjong by Brainiuml. Great game. Fun and easy to start, then adds a bit of challenge every time you get comfortable. Enough new prizes (additions) to keep you excited and looking for the updates. A favorite.

Deleting. Been playing this app for a week and love the graphics, but after taking five tries to win a daily challenge and having the rest of the month on hold with five or more tries l’ve had enough. When it takes that many tries or more to win a game it stops being fun and relaxing.

Love it. But 16.3 problem. In the daily puzzle if I slide the dot back to the beginning the puzzle shows up as original. But the entire game locks up. Only Halley’s after the first failed attempt. When I restart the app it all works fine. Tell the programmer it’s probably an initialization error.

Challenging while fun. This Mahjong game is a little more challenging than most of the others I have played. Sometimes it takes a couple of attempts to solve the puzzle, but you can solve it if you try.

Great game. There are several versions of this came out online, however I much for this version because of its versatility in adapting to the tilt of my iPad. In other words I can actually play it in landscape, as opposed to being forced to play it in portrait

SO CALMING. This game is the best I can play for hours it takes my mind off of everything, the backdrops are really soothing, the board shapes are so cool, and I get really tense about beating my high score I also play solitaire sometimes. No-ad version/option please. I really really like this game. The tile option while limited at first are easy to read. I just really would like to not watch an ad after every game, win or lose. It’s irritating and kicks my music app closed. I have tried numerous mahjong games and this one would be perfect if not for the ads.

Enjoyable game. I enjoy the fact that if you don’t get it on your first try you have the option to go back several moves or to the beginning and start over. You can always complete a puzzle.

AMAZING!. This game is really great. The tiles are pretty and make a nice clicking noise when matched. As you progress, you unlock more boards, tiles, and backgrounds. There are some ads, but they don’t put one every 5 seconds like other games. Highly recommend!

Runs well and is pretty, but.... This traditional mahjong matching game is nice, but I dislike the fact that its puzzles become progressively more difficult to solve. I deleted it in favor of another version that deals random puzzles that don’t rely on speed and levels of progress. One more star deducted for lack of design options.

It helps. I have some neurological issues caused from shingles. As frustrating as this crazy, fun, and sometimes difficult (ok more than sometimes) is really helping me problem solve. It helps me connect logically- who knew?

Disappointed. I really like this mahjong game. BUT why no music? I did read the contents and saw that music wasn’t mentioned, but thought it was an oversight in the description. I’ve been playing mahjong games for a long time and good music just naturally goes with these games. If the developers would do this, it would be a benefit for players and better ratings.
